R party. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. All yeah,
it is The Odd Couple. I'm Chris Bruce, are to
(00:45):
lasside my partner Rob Parker, and we are coming to
you live from the Fox Sports Radio studio live and
we got a big show for you. It's no longer
a football Friday. This is the first nine football Friday
since I got the first week in September or last
(01:05):
week in August, whatever it is. But uh, football season
is over. It's all about the NBA. There is no
baseball coming, no, Rob Like, it's just it. We did.
Baseball's done. Who knows when we'll see baseball again. So
it is wall to wall. Who's sorry, Rob, it's your boy.
I mean, you know you see what I'm giving you.
(01:26):
I'm giving you play it. I'm giving you the finger,
you see that that right, not the not the finger iPhone,
the finger right now, because yeah, hear you're having some
phone problems. You know what, Rob, get away from the
flip phones. I've been telling my phone it's a real phone.
(01:48):
The problem that like the iPhone too. No, it's the
latest iPhone. It's like a twelve or thirteen. But the
problem is I can't restart it. It won't even let
me cut it off. What part of do you have
what you can't cut it off to restart it? I
can't cut it off. Do you just not know how
to do it? Or you go how to cut the
phone off? I just can't because the new ones are different.
(02:10):
Like I used to have trouble. I had to ask
somebody showed me how to cut my new one off. No,
I'm pressing both buttons as nothing's turn and Rob g
knows he was trying to call me. I can't get
a call. I can't get anything. So okay, So when
we do calls, you're gonna send them to me, Rob
g Ale's gonna send them to me, Alex, he'll do
it to me. How's he gonna send them? In my ear?
(02:31):
It's good. Send a carrier pigeon CB. Yes, well, Rob,
I got you know obviously this is NBA All Star
We can hear something interesting, Rob Parker. When they had
the last remember that you were there. I was there
the fiftieth All Star Game or the fiftieth Anniversary All
Star Game was in Cleveland, and they had the best
(02:53):
fifty players ever there and now the seventy fifth is
there like that had they there's no way they did
that on purpose. And it's almost like they didn't recognize
why would you put the two biggest All Star games
in Cleveland? And I'm from Cleveland, but I'm just saying, oh,
so you think this They had no idea that it
was well and they realized, oh wow, I just you
(03:17):
know what I'm saying, just honestly, like you would want
it in la or even a place like Phoenix, a
warm weather I don't know. It just feels to me like,
why in the world would you put them in Cleveland.
There's no like but they significant, but it's but it's
rotated christ but like every year, like you you're right
(03:38):
that they rotate, but it's not that strict, you know
what I'm saying. Like the Pistons don't want it. The
Pistons have never had an All Star Game, which they
don't want it. No, they didn't want it? Why not? No,
I don't have no idea. Was that was always a
content people always talked about, how come the Pistons of
never they've never had an All Star game in Detroit. Well,
the Celebrity Game is about to start now, and I'm
(03:59):
a little in my feelings because I was supposed to
play in the Celebrity Game one year and I was
ready to light it up and I never ended up
playing in it. So you on the bench, you didn't
get in. No, No, it just what happened was I
had my group, the King Movement, We had the celebrity
Game of our own, and we had put Phelipe A.
Lopez was in it, Charles Smith, a bunch of rappers,
(04:21):
Jada Kiss while Earth got it like it was big,
it was great, and a bunch of m NBA people
came like that worked for the league, and I happened
to have a great game rob I was on fight.
It's like my last great game of my law. Listen
to twenty one point seven for ten shooting would And
I'm just saying only here that they used to keep
(04:44):
their stats charity at a charity. So anyway, I didn't
keep the stats. They kept the stats, but I was
on fire. So anyway, I was NBB. So the NBA
peoplere like, yeah, we're gonna get you in the Celebrity
Game next year. And I was still young enough where
I could play. Now, I'm just I'm old, but um
I was ready for it, and I never, you know,
didn't end up playing. And uh, I'm I would have
(05:07):
loved to have played in it because I think I
would have eaten up people like Common and all them,
the me gos and all those dudes. So anyway, let's
get into it. We got DJ Alex Tyshert a k A.
Alex the Vegan and yes it is a funky flashback Friday,
so you know where he's at. Where are you at?
(05:27):
I'm in the gates, Yes, dust flying all over the place.
Super producer Rob g in full of fact and on
the updates as he is every Friday. Right man, Chris
real quick? Where? What what time is your flight? When
do you get into Cleveland? Are you flying? I get
into my afternoon. Yeah, I'm leaving around eleven, and I'm
I'm speaking. I'm going to the HBCU game. Howard Morgan
(05:49):
state speaking of their kids after Yeah, and then see
some friends. I'm not gonna go to the events because
I didn't think I was even gonna go to all
these engagements came up. Okay, and then I'm speaking Sunday
at the church. You're invited, Rob, Mount Calvary Baptist Church
and Acron. I expected in the front row row ten am,
(06:10):
and I'm bring timpany with me. Look at you? Look
you know what though, yes, bring all of yes, praise
the Lord. All right, um, let's get into it, Rob. Uh.
We we heard the news that the toward the end
of our show Anthony Davis and I said, Rob, you know,
we talked about it. I was stunned pleasantly, but stunned
(06:35):
when I heard that. Uh two weeks, right, two weeks
that's it. Dude was rising in pain like he was
about to die. His ankle was at like a ninety
degree angle his leg and ankle when you never it
just you know, it was just like man. So anyway,
(06:55):
now they're saying it's a midfoot sprain to be reevaluated
in four weeks. Rob, and we mentioned that, Okay, what's
that mean? Probably? I mean probably playing that six weeks
at the earliest, right, and Rob g figured it out
there'd only be like five Lakerood games left, right, and
he would have missed eighteen and twelve of those eighteen
rob against teams that are currently in the playoffs. Wow.
(07:17):
So yeah, their schedule now, they got the toughest schedule
in the Western Conference the rest of the way because
they had a cupcake schedule earlier the right exactly. Um,
so here's what I want to throw at you. Um
do you think what do you think of the notion
of Lebron basically shutting it down and getting ready for
(07:38):
next year. I don't think he could do that. I
don't think. I think that is not acceptable because they're
not mathematically eliminated. I know, I don't think they're gonna
make the playoffs, but Lebron can't do that. They in no,
I think they missed. I think they miss everything. Wow,
(07:59):
I really do four and a half games up in
the playing are they okay? They're they're ninth. New Orleans
is like eleventh. I think it's I'm gonna look it up. Now,
they got four games and they're probably I don't think
they'll make the playoffs. I just think, yeah, then I'll
(08:20):
then I'll go with that if they got that some
significant uh us when the teams are bad and some
of them an the other teams. So knowing that now,
but I don't think that they'll make the playoffs. And
uh without Anthony's four and a half, it's a four
and a half up in San Antonio in New Orleans
and the playing Yeah, I mean, if they give up
(08:40):
that four and a half lead and don't even make
the playing game, then then something really went wrong or
Lebron did pull pull out and decide that he didn't
want to play anymore. But I don't I don't think
he could do that. I think that would look bad
for Lebron to give up when you're not Mathematically you
always want to say, Chris, what do you always say
the Lakers have a puncher's chance? They have if they
(09:02):
got Lebron James, you got Westbrook, who's the top seventy
five player. You mean that Carmelo's a Hall of Famer,
while you know, to top seventy five a main guy.
You to tell me that they're gonna throw the towers.
That was way back. I mean, Bill Russell's the top
seventy five guy too. But you know, he ain't gonna
help him. Wow, I'm just got to say that. Here's
(09:25):
what I'll say. Here's what I'll say, Right, I agree
with you. There's no way Lebron should shut it down now.
That's but if I'm him, and he's already told us
a few weeks ago or a few days ago that
my knee is not gonna get better except with rest,
and so what I would do If I'm Lebron and
the Lakers we go hard. We're going hard for I
(09:50):
don't know, next several weeks whatever, We're like the next
three four weeks. We're going at it. We're trying to
win as many games as we can. And if we're
still losing and we got like, I don't know, twelve
fifty games left, fifteen games left, whatever, and we're still
(10:12):
losing twelve games maybe, and Lebron's knee is still bothering
him but he's playing through it, then in that case, Rob,
I would be like, look, Lebron, let's it's kind of
like he did. Rob remember his first year in LA
and he had came back from the groin and he
(10:32):
kind of leg because he had the groin injury, and
now he's got the kneed soordness. So it's not like
he's just saying I'm not playing. It's like, Okay, I'm
thirty seven. The knee has been bothering me. We tried
where you know ten seed ads nowhere in sight. We're
not winning anymore than we were before. I wouldn't think
(10:56):
they wouldn't be the way. I think they'd be a
good idea, because see what you can do an offseason.
Even if you can't do anything in the off season,
maybe a d gets better and you know, you come
back ready to rock and roll next year. The thing
is too rob he has scored so many points now
this year that he's really like he's going to catch
(11:17):
Kareem if he just can stay realistically healthy, Like he
needs now to average twenty two points twenty two point
three points a game over the next eighty two games,
and you know he's gonna average probably twenty eight the
(11:37):
rest of whatever a few mini games he plays this year. Yeah,
it's not it's not a He's gonna get Kareem. It's Morton.
I mean, it's likely at this point, but you get hurt.
But I still I still don't I don't think it's
I don't think you could just quit, quit or pull
a plug on this at any point in the season.
Not any point until you're eliminated. If they get eliminated, Chris,
(12:00):
and there's five games left, then Lebron shouldn't play. But
I wouldn't feel good about it. If I was a
Laker fan, if I bought tickets, I just I wouldn't
feel good about Like you always say, legitimate if, if
if the knee of play. But you know, now, if
if the knee is if he's injured, that's one thing.
(12:20):
But if there's a chance to make the playoffs with
a chance that maybe Anthony Davis gets back, do you
know what I mean? Like you can't. I can't see
any scenario other than I'm having a full blown injury
where Lebron should bow out. I don't see it. Eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine ninety
six sixty three sixty nine. We're throwing it out to you.
(12:43):
Do you think Lebron and the Lakers should consider at
some point, Not yet, but at some point shutting him
down and getting him ready rested up, healed up, and
ready for next year. You're turning away in with Chris
and Rob The Odd Couple Fox Sports Radio. Be sure

(14:14):
You're turned away in should the Lakers shut down Lebron
if things keep going south with a d out and
him in the ninth seed and so on and so forth.
All right, let's kick it off with Tony and DC.
You're on the odd couple. Fox Sports Radio. What up, Tony?
What's up? Fellas? Happy Friday, y'all. Chris, Chris, safe travels
(14:35):
my brother, Um, thank you man. I think that you know,
he has to play for the integrity of the game,
and also it would be a log in the fire
of people that stand on this Jordan Lebron debate for
the Jordan's side, because they'll look at Jordan's eighty six season.
I believe it was where he came back from the
broken foot and he helped the Bulls get into the
playoffs even though they lost him. Brought him to play
(14:58):
right there? Actually did yeah come back? Right? Yeah? They
didn't want to come back. But Jordan was like for
the integrity of the game, you know, as long he
says the game, he just was competitive. He has to compete,
and I think that you know, just for the internty game,
he has to do it. You know, you can't you
know it because he it seems like he's always an
(15:20):
excuse with him, you know, from wearing the cast after
the finals to now with the new I don't think
this would have anything to do with the Jordan debate.
Lebron is a lap Jordan in terms of longevity, like
Jordan's the goat, but I mean there's no comparison in
terms of longevity. No, but it would be quick but twice,
(15:41):
so I think the conversation of him I'm giving up
on the season though, if they were still in the
people like Michael would never quit. I Chris, I think
there would be a twice though. Yeah, but not in
the season where you're not officially eliminated, is what I'm saying.
I think that people would bring that up against Lebron.
(16:01):
I do well. I look, I think Jodi at his
age and again, if the knee is a factor, I
think it'd be legit if he's injured and he can't
play that well hurt, he won't be not injured. It
ain't about injured. You know the difference injured. You know,
I know, but I'm saying people he won't be injured.
Say if he's well, saf he's playing, and then two
weeks from now he says it's it's injured, then then
(16:24):
you could bow out and no one's gonna say, well.
I think that's how they would do it. I don't
think he just, oh, we're not going to the playoffs.
I'm not you know what I mean? I agree with that, Like,
he's not just gonna say I'm not playing because we're
not gonna make the playoffs. Robert and Georgia, you're on
the yard. A couple of Fox Sports raded, what up?
What's going on to us? Chris, Rob, y'all good, brother,
(16:44):
how I'm going? Great? Man? I just want to see
get y'all take on what I think they should do.
I don't think he should bow out. I think he
should What they should do is change of the offense. Man.
I think they should let Russell Westbrook control the ball,
put Lebron James On off the ball, because, like you guys, said,
Lebron James one of the hardest players to play with
because he dominated. He is the system. So I feel
(17:07):
like if Russell Westbrook can take the team without Lebron
James with the Withers and Okay see to the playoffs
and for less less couple of names, but Lebron James
on the wing, I think he can lead them to
the players. I think they're just been playing Russ the
wrong type of style the whole way to keep him on,
keep this, keep him on. But how about taking the
ball out? How about putting the ball in Lebron's hands?
(17:29):
I mean, Lebron's one four championships dominating the ball. Russ hasn't.
Why would I let Russ dominate the ball and then
have Lebron in an awkward situation because the the problem
is is that he even dominating the ball this whole season,
Russ and trying to He's not. He's not dominating the ball.
Chris the ball in his hands just as much as Lebron.
(17:52):
He's scoring. That don't mean he's dominating the ball. That's
what I'm saying. Because he's taking majority of hes taking
majority of the shots, and he's bringing the ball up
the court. No he's not. He's not bringing the ball up,
he's not dominating the ball nearly as much as he
has throughout his career. Russ is bringing it up quite
a bit, I would say, probably more than Lebron. So yeah,
(18:15):
I don't know. I can't say definitively which I'm watching him.
It ain't, it ain't, it ain't nothing like. I can't
definitively say that. But it just whatever they're doing and
ain't working for Russ, that's for sure. But that has
a lot to do with other stuff. Um right, So
all right, it is the I couple Shekel City. Later
(18:36):
on in the hour, Aaron Rodgers some stunning news coming
out of Green Bay. Could it affect his future? We'll
get into that next, but first, Fox Sports Radio has
the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all
of our shows at Foxsports Radio dot com and within
the iHeart Radio app search f SR to listen live.
(18:59):
All right, thank you, Steve. It is the couple of
Christ and robbe alive from the Fox Sports Radio Studios
on the Funky Flashback Friday. Rob, did you see this
report about the Packers having questions about whether or not
Aaron Rodgers can get it done in the uh postseason? Yes,
(19:23):
I did see it. Uh, what were your thoughts? That
basically was that there are people within the organization who wonder,
are questioning and win in January and five? I don't.
I don't. You could always find people in any situation
who have a you know, could say, yeah, well we
(19:44):
don't know if he can win. Well, he did win
a super Bowl, and I know, what's a million. Everybody
didn't win one. Anybody did, but he did win. So
it's not like he's been there forever and he never won,
or he never won a playoff game, or he just
won one playoff game and that was it. Yes, So
I do get that, and especially the way things went
(20:04):
down this past year. I remember last year, everybody picked
the Rams to beat them in Green Bay. They won
that game and then they lost to Tampa Bay and
I had three touchdowns in the pick and they gave
up a bad touchdown at the half. So yeah, I mean,
there's gonna be people in the house that are gonna
do that. But I think the real story is if
(20:25):
they don't believe that, then they should make something happen
and go with Jordan Love and get rid of Aaron
Rodgers or determined that when they do that, then I'll
believe that that's a prevalent conversation being had by the
powers that be. Well, here's what the story said, and
it was a long time Packers reporter, Rob Demovski who said, yes,
(20:52):
speaking of Rogers, he's still spectacular from September through December,
but even some within the Packers organization wonder if he
can still do it in January and February. That's what
he said. And Rob, I think you can do both.
(21:12):
I think you can have questions because wonder that's what
that is. It's not saying it's not. The report is
not there's people in that organization that don't think he
can win in January and February. The report is that
they wonder. And I think you can do both. You
can wonder if he can get it done in the postseason,
(21:35):
but yet still want him back because he's your best
option and he is their best option to bring him back.
Agree with that because the problem because if you're if
you're wondered about Matthew Stafford but I kept him with
the Rams. No, but your your goal is if you're
trying to win a Super Bowl and you don't believe
that he can win. It doesn't say they don't say,
(21:59):
because it's they wonder. They're what you're saying. He gives
the best He gives him the best chance. But if
you don't think he can win during the time when
you need him to win, then winning season doesn't mean
anything to me. You always say you don't like putting
people putting words, you know, changing your words. That's not
change the words. It says they wonder. It doesn't say
(22:22):
they definitive he can't win. You say they think he can't. No,
but they didn't say they don't. I said, in any
organization you'll have people. I said, if the organization really
wondered out loud or really believe he couldn't win, I
don't believe he would be there. That's what I'm talking about.
How about Doc, I don't think he'll be there. We
talked about that when he answered honestly about Ben Simmons.
(22:46):
Do you think Doc, you can win the championship with
Ben Simmons is your point guard? I don't know. I'm
not sure. Does that mean Doc had to get rid
of him? No, just means he's got questions. It means
I want to see him prove it to me. I
think he might be able to see and I want
to I don't. I don't think that that. I don't
think that that's a fair comparison because one guy, for
(23:07):
whatever you want to say, if he did it, uh,
then the Stone Ages he did win, the Ben Simmons
has won nothing. I mean, it's a big difference between
the two of a guy who's never won anything compared
to a guy who had did win a Super Bowl.
So that's the only reason why I don't think that's
a fair comparison. If Aaron Rodgers had never won, then Chris,
(23:28):
I think that's a fair comparison. It's a fair comparison
in that wondering You're right. I mean, obviously Ben Simmons
isn't to basketball where Aaron Rodgers is the football. We
know that. But my point is that they are wondering.
I'm just trying to explain the difference between there were
there are those even in the Packers organization that don't
(23:50):
think Rodgers can win in Jay were in February. The
difference between that and there are those even in the
Packers organizations that wonder. Wonder Man the means I think
he might be able to. I think he might not
be able to. Let's see, that doesn't mean, you know what,
there's no chance this dude is gonna win us the
super Bowl again. So I think you can easily do both.
(24:14):
You can have questions, you can have doubt. Do people
do it all the time dating a girl dating a guy.
I'm not sure if they're the one. I wonder, I
wonder what would she be a responsible wife. But I'm
not sure I can steal dater, and I want to
find out. So that's all they're doing. They're gonna do
(24:34):
with Aaron Rodgers if they you know, if he comes back,
I mean they should want to keep him, even if
they have doubts. Again, if they think he just can't
get it done, that's one thing. If they think, yeah,
we can go thirteen and three every year, but come
playoff time, this dude's gonna what the bed? Then yeah
at that point, sure, But that's not what the report said.
(24:57):
So I think it's a proven situation. They want to
see improve it. And even though he wanted a decade ago,
I don't know is the report related to age. You
know he has it. He's had his playoffs struggles He's
been a different quarterback often in the playoffs then from
(25:17):
the regular season. So I don't think there's a contradiction
there at all. But Rob, you wonder will this you know,
if Aaron Rodgers catches wind of this, and granted it's
only one reporter saying it, and like you said, right,
it could be you know, could it be the PR guy,
(25:37):
It could be anybody. Maybe it's higher up. I don't know,
but would it bother in the organization? There are people
at Fox Sports Radio who think I'll show stakes right
or they don't like us. I mean, I don't care
what organization, a company, or where you work. Everybody's not
on board. Everybody doesn't think you could be the top dog,
(26:00):
uh at a at a sports network making the most
money in the face of the organization. And there are
people who who say he ain't really that good, he
shouldn't mean right right. I'm just saying so that, yes,
there are always people like that, and I'm not discounting
the report. I'm just saying that nobody's always on all
(26:22):
the way on board, even for people. I mean right away,
I don't know that the other Brady story him and
and um, uh, what's his name, the coach just for Arians.
Now there's talk that they had a riff and every
relationships went down the tubes and all that because Brady,
you know, retired, so there'll be stories that come out
(26:43):
instead of Brady. Maybe it wasn't a family, it was
because him and Arians didn't get along. Uh Institute, should
this report? Do you think this your report should buy
the Rogers or maybe even affect his thinking going back?
That's that's a personal thing. He'd have to he'd have
to decide whether or not, you know, you know where
it came from. Uh. And and and I don't know.
(27:08):
He just seems like stuff is put out all the time.
I don't know if if it's different. And here's the
other part you were bringing up the Doc Rivers one
is an unnamed source who could be the PR guy
who hates Aaron Rodgers, right, or it could be Doc
Rivers said it on camera. There's no if ans or butts.
If La Floor said it Chris on camera and I'm
(27:31):
Aaron Rodgers, then maybe then then that's different. Maybe I'm like, Okay,
I got it. I don't want to be here. I
want to move on. But an unnamed source where you
don't know the where it came from. You gotta be
very careful because just because somebody in the packers organization,
he could be an equipment not an equipment manager, but
a low level of video the reporter. I mean, who knows,
(27:56):
Because you're right, it's a discussion of reporters having I
would think, though, you wouldn't just throw out anybody, you
know what I mean? No, I agree it should be
somebody with a little custom. But if that guy says, hey,
I've been in meetings or I've heard other people say it,
do you know what I mean? Like, even though even
(28:16):
though you don't have them, and you built up a
relationship with this guy, I'm just saying it depends because
you gotta feel confident. Obviously you can't talk to the
ball boy and write a story like right right right,
Well we will see, um robe I've said it. I
think Aaron Rodgers should go back to Green Bay. I
(28:38):
think that gives him the best chance to get back
to the Super Bowl. Maybe he'll find a new fiance
too in Green Bay this time. Yeah, this is how
many times he's been engaged twice, two or twice? I
think just too But some high profile relations her name, Yeah,
and he's been Yeah, that's that's three big high profiles. Yeah,
(29:01):
high profile and two of them right movies or in
the movies. Right. Actress Olivia Munn is an actress and
this was an actress. Right. Rob G's up on all that.
He knows all the soap operas and you know the
Hollywood Table and you know magazine. He's yea queen, Yes
I am yes, so so Rob G. The last two
(29:23):
were big time actresses, right, Yes? What is big time?
Too much? Or are they big? Just they have different demographics,
like Shaleen Woodley is if you're in the ABC family, like,
she's all over that if you're like a tween. She's
made a ton of movies that you probably have watched. Okay, okay,
And Olivia Munn was in the X Men movie, so
that that's got to be a big time. Yeah. So
(29:44):
y'all thought we were playing about Rob. He really is.
Rob knows all that stuff. I'm amazing in General Hospital,
Rob you know who actually does know that as my dad?
My dad because he didn't your dad seven Yeah, he
didn't even Steven tired. So he watches like Wendy Williams
the car that like he watched all the worst shows.
I'll talk about, Hey, trip out on this, let me
(30:04):
tell you what's going on in this show? And really yeah,
but he called me one day when he was watching
and Stephen A came on in General Hospital. He's like,
did you know Stephen as an actor? I'm like, been
to call Stephen A an actor? Well, he's the biggest
General Hospital fan. And they, you know, being ESPN an
ABC got him on. He's got a recurrent role. He's
(30:24):
been on that an actor too. I told my dad,
just if it gets cool to you, guys, I said, hey,
I talked to Chris and Rob. They say you can
call him Steve now, and it's okay, that's right. Well
that's what we call you. You told your dad told
my dad call Stephen. Just called him Steve when we
met him. Me with Steve, that's right, call him Steve. Yes.
But I do, guys. I get I just got some checks,
(30:48):
royalty checks for the movie I was in Chues. You
got thirty. Nah, it's a few hundred real time, Are
you serious? Yeah? A few hundred dollars A couple hundred,
you know, so, Um, I'm an actor. I think that's
legitimate come with sag. I mean, I'm a sag guy.
(31:09):
I put you know what, Chris, put a belt on
and you won't sag anymore? All right? On that not
Shecko Citi's next keeping couple fos not maybe you should
think that, uh that routine you're gonna do? Right, I'm ready,
I'm ready to get on the stage. Are you Reading's

(32:02):
check City, the whole base for Rob Parkers Dans against
the spread. All right, do well this tonight you can
buy yourself a new phone. Yeah, something's going on here.
I'm not that happy with the Checko City again. Another
(32:23):
weird night last night. Spot not yet sponsored by Caesar
Sports Book, but coming up one one and one Chris again,
another push, a win and a lost last night. So now, uh,
we got ready for the picks tonight, all college games,
Chris really weird. No NBA, so we got all college Rob,
(32:46):
g is it there? I am here. I know I
sent you your picture. I know you don't have access
to your phone, so maybe that's why are you making
his picks now? No, he already hasn't posted on social media, Bob,
can you give him from me? Rob been using the
Nokia flip phone from nineteen and I don't know what's
going on. I know I got Maryland minus two tonight, right,
Maryland minus two is my best bet? Yes, sir, Maryland
(33:09):
minus two at Nebraska VCU, minus three at home against Richmond,
and Missouri plus eleven at Mississippi State. Rob, Have you
watched any of these anything? No? No? When it comes
to college, my guys, Steve I went to high school
(33:31):
whef he was a college coach, so I consult with him.
Uh yeah, Steve Schneider from Queens, and I try to, like, uh,
talking over with him. I don't usually do a lot
of college games, but they're no NBA games, So Steve
helped me out tonight big time. And I did go
to Missouri. Did you know that, Chris? I went to
Missouri meaning as a stuchool. Yeah. Yeah, I went to
(33:54):
a multicultural management program back in like nineteen eighty nine,
if you could. After I graduated from Columbia, I went
to Missouri for like two months, two or three months.
Lived in Columbia, lived in the dorms. It was awesome.
What a what a great college place, Chris, Columbia, Missouri?
So no it, Yeah I heard. Have you been there Columbia? No,
(34:17):
I've never been in about Missouri. I mean yeah, and yeah,
obviously they had the issues a while ago with the
racism and exactly when the football team. Yeah, great, great,
great college scene down there. The best Hamburger ever eight
was at a restaurant. Did you did you think about
betting on the Celebrity game? Not? I didn't, just didn't.
(34:37):
Are you betting any All Star weekend events? I don't know.
I'm gonna think about it. I haven't even paid attention Rob.
You who's in the dunk contest? You got it? I
also have not paid attention to the dunk contest, but
I can tell you in a second. Dere's the thing,
what the dunk is that the dunk contest could be
phenomenal if we had John mored Zach Lavine, Zion's out,
(35:01):
so I won't say him, right, um, John morand Zach Levine,
Aaron Gordon's getting older, but still rather than that group,
here's what you are gonna be getting here, I Cole
Anthony Obi a Anthony's Sons. Yes, was known as a leaper,
but got some got some fixed forward, Obie Topping, Olbie Topping,
(35:25):
Obie got a little something Obi Wan Queen the legs
dunks in games, Warriors guard Juan Tascano Anderson because really yes, now,
I would not picture him as a high flyer. And
the odds on favorite Houston Rockets guard Jalen Yeah right there, Yeah,
(35:48):
I think he gotta be do some stuff. Yeah right,
but if you bet on him, Chris, you gotta bet
like a thousand dollars to win fifth, right, you know what.
I'm right, He's gonna do some stuff. But I really
would I think Josh should have done it. Remember Rob,
when the dunk contest was like a writer, Michael used
to do it. What are you doing? Montest a few times? Yes,
(36:09):
Dominique Michael, doctor Jay at thirty four. Yes, it's a
big deal, Chris, So John Kim all the best Dunkers,
Vince Tracy McGrady, they did it, Steve Francis, it was.
It was totally different times. People just took part in it.
They didn't think about it. It wasn't like, oh what
(36:31):
am I gonna get out of it? I might get
hurt Nobody. I never saw anybody get hurt in the
dunk contest. I never saw anybody bout out. The only
thing people don't want to get their feelings hurt. Yeah,
that's about it. I don't want to get right about that.
Let me ask you this, right, if there's one thing
you could add to All Star Weekend that they'd have
to do, you know, something realistic that they'd have to do,
(36:52):
not all the players would never agree. What would it
be to make it better? I know mine? If you
want to give me yours, because I mean, I would
say a one on one tournament would be with all
the best play right, They'll never do it because if
you're Lebron, you got nothing to gain, right, nothing, keep
it locked
