Rob and Kelvin argue whether the onus is on Adam Silver to come down hard on Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers if they determined that the two sides did circumvent the salary cap to funnel more cash in his pocket, and debate whether the San Antonio Spurs were out of bounds for firing the team television play-by-play man after it was discovered that he was having an affair with the sister of a player on the roster. Plus, Sportsnet Toronto Raptors reporter Michael Grange swings by to discuss all the scuttlebutt surrounding Kawhi, the Clippers and the Raptors.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're listening to the Best of the Odd Couple.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
The Clippers Raptors trade that would have sent Kawhi Leonard
back to Toronto has been put on hold. That's because the
NBA pause been on pause pause for the cause. Adam
Silver put the word out to both of the clubs
that hey, you can make this trade if you want to,
but whatever punishment comes down from this aspiration deal about

(00:49):
whether or not they circumvented the salary cap to get
more money in Kawhi's pocket. The punishment that is handed
down will be passed over to Toronto in that situation if
he's on your team. As a result, both teams have decided,
you know what, until we get the final ruling on
this situation, the trade will be put in limbo.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
And I think at some point we've been talking about
this and I agree with the concept, Rob, you and
I have been saying for months whatever. The particular conversation
was around the commissioner Adam Silver. If not now, then
when when will you ever do something? We talk about
a million different things. You had teams taking right in
his face and he was just like, oh, well find
him a little bit to do this, and they like
deliberately taking Rob like, hey, fourth quarter, we are hold on,

(01:33):
you know what the commissioner marketing, Come on, irins, scoring
and stuffing triple j come on, you're trying to win,
you tripping, come on now.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Screaming at people, screaming, don't shoo, who do you do?

Speaker 6 (01:44):
What do you mean?

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Coach?

Speaker 6 (01:45):
I'm open, Nah, you're too good.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
So we got the tanking, We've got this, we got
the gambling with issues like, it's so much that's happening
that I think personally, at a certain point you have
to draw the line. And Kawhi Leonard is not steph hurry,
Kawhi Leonard ain't Lebron.

Speaker 6 (02:03):
And what I mean is guys who have been.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Ambassadors that maybe you'd be like, I might let it Ryan,
because they've been great for the league. They've been the
face of the league. They've done this for the league.
Kawhi Leonard is in business for Kawhi Leonard. Yeah, but
he's done a lot of winning and Robbie only plays
fifty percent of the games and I'm not even funding literally,
okay game.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
But he's won two championship and Steph and Lebron only
won four.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Year.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Ron has been the fac and he's done a million
things for the league. Steph Curry's done a million things
for the league. Chris Paul and you know whoever you
want to go down the line. The guys have done
things for the league and been the facing, been this ambassador.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Kawhi has been a great ambassador for the league too,
because he stays out of trouble.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
No, how's he stay out of trouble when he's always
in trouble.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
He ain't in trouble.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
He is in trouble right now and he was and
the reason why the Raptors didn't want to resign him
between nineteen because he tried to pull this move. My
point is, if he had this thing where it was like, man,
he's just been this great ambasketball all right, maybe we'll
just kind of pat him on the wrist a little bit.
It seems to me, Kawhi Leonard's been in the business
of Kawhi Leonard, which I'm not mad.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Do what you want to do. But to me, now,
this is a situation.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
You got some great evidence because Pablo tore has been
going crazy on the reporting. If not now, then when
will you say? All right, Steve Bomer. Obviously we need
you in the league, so I can't just kick you
out of the organization. But I can't find you a huge,
efty fine. I can take a bunch of draft picks
from you, and I can if it's waived, the contract
to Kawhi Leonard where you can't have him, Raptors can't

(03:27):
have him.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
Now he's a free agent. You kind of got to
start over something.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
To me, at some point, Adam Silver has to have
the sick of Kelvin Washington and Rob Parker and the
likes saying you're the weakest, weakest Commissioner Silver. You don't
do anything, you don't stand for anything. All these things
happen on your watch. You flip flop the All Star Game,
you flip flop this. I feel like this would be
the thing. You have enough evidence to me, the gun
might not be smoking, but Daggan is hot, and I

(03:50):
feel like it's enough for you to be finding like, yo,
I'm not having it this time around. And that's why
I told Toronto, hey, y'all want to take him cool
and when this smoke comes down, it's gonna be on
your hands if you take them.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
The Toronto said, I will wait.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
So to me, Rob, I just feel like this is
a moment where you can finally do it and you
have to say something to the league that what's the
point of having second aprons and salary caps and all
these things. If all I gotta do is come up
with a shell company aspiration, and then the owner of
their team can put a bunch of millions of dollars
in it, it can go wink wink bankrupt after it's

(04:25):
paid out Kawhi and paid out this person and have
other people and within the organization put money into this
and then all of a sudden it goes bankrupt. Clearly
a shell company, clearly a scam. You don't want to
keep having this happen, So you either get your David
sternbag d what he did to the Minnesota Timberwoods with
Joe Smith or something alike like that, because at some point,
Adam Silver, you gotta have a backbone and you got

(04:47):
to stand on something.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
But my issue is you're talking about that you have
a bigger fish to fry for real with the gambling,
and you swung and missed on that. You had a
coach who is now in an indictment on a federal case.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
You have players who you.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Exonerated, and and now federal cases.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
And now you expect this commissioner to take.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
On the most the richest owner in the NBA, who
built a beautiful, brand new building, who's done all these
things right, who took over when when you needed somebody
to step up because Donald Sterling was about to trash
your postseason when players refused to play. Who stepped up
and and and and got you out of a lurch?
And now what are you gonna do? Come on, man,

(05:34):
I think you're kidding yourself. I'm not saying they're not
gonna get any punishment, but they're not throwing no hammer
at anybody.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
Don't do that.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
They don't. They don't throw the hammer at anybody. Done
it already by now. And I agree with the gambling.
Ten months later, did did really you need ten.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Months for this?

Speaker 4 (05:55):
And I'm gonna add to this. I think everything you
just mentioned what I'm saying, the gambling is a part
of this. At some point you have to do something
because you're you have a great motif.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Wambling is bigger. Gambling is bigger than that.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I don't disagree. I'm messing with the integuity of the game.
Once you don't have integuity, you're the w w E.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I'm not disagreeing. That's why I'm saying the gambling was
first anything, That's what I'm saying. You missed on it.
Now to rectify that those guys are about to get
in trouble federally.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
That's worse than anything.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
And then now you got the mojo of the NBA Finals,
biggest watch since what was in ninety eight is Jordan's
last dance. Everyone was in on it. Paray E was Hues,
It's the Knicks. It's a great mojo. Keep the momentum going.
You can't just back down and then because because it
becames another thing and you don't want rob What you
don't want is people like Pablo to keep digging and

(06:48):
find out, Oh this team did that.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
Oh this team did it. Oh that team did it.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Oh this team did it where it becomes even bigger
scandal of Oh, look at five, six, seven of the
teams are doing this, and it's what's the point of
a salary cap?

Speaker 6 (07:00):
What's the point of second aprons?

Speaker 4 (07:01):
If we are trying to be competitive and be on
the same playing field, then what's the point. Because I
can get some extra money over here, I can get
any player I want. I'll just tell you, I'm only
gonna pay you twenty million, wink wink. I got another
forty million for you over here. So I just want
to see if Adam Silver will finally do something. Why
is this dude crying? It's Tiger, he doe something great.
They dounbt water on him.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Bree. I need to know what Bree's working right now.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
I'm just I think what you're asking for if there
was a different commissioner in place made okay. But this commissioner,
I'm sorry, I just don't. I don't see it. I
really don't. Just ain't some owner who's like a lower
wrong owner you could take advantage of, like what they
did when David Stern did that. David Stern never stepped

(07:42):
in even when Donald Sterling was had all those racial
discrimination lawsuits about not running the black people in Latin
people here in Los Angeles. Nothing happened. They didn't do
anything to him. He was allowed to own. He wouldn't
spend any money team on players. He was third cheap,
little RinkyDink College, all that kind of stuff, right, really

(08:04):
really cheap. They never did anything. And the only reason
they did anything, that Donald sterling, was they were gonna
lose money because the players said they wouldn't play the playoffs.
That's what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying that
nothing will happen, but this stern like I'm gonna put
my foot down and show you who's in charge.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
Of the league.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
I don't see it happening.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
It can't just be eight million dollars or something like that,
because what it's absolutely worth it at that point, Rob
if you talk like, let's say that the Clippers had
won a championship. If you tell me that all I
had to do was get fined a little eight million dollars,
but me and Kawhi won a championship or two, I'm
doing it again.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Or if I'm another team, I'm doing it because it's
clearly worth it.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
A little fine ain't gonna do nothing if you're telling
me I can go get one of the best players
in the league and have a shot. They wanted a championship,
so some's gonna have to give.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Michael Grange covers the Raptors and NBA lars for Sports
Neck can help us break down the fun Guy and
what's happening with Kawhi?

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Michael, what's up man Kawhi laughing to day?

Speaker 4 (09:49):
I'll tell you that I feel like he is rod
because I feel like, at the end of the day,
all of this, Michael tell me I wrong.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Yeah, Mike's like, nothing sticks to Kawhi.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
It's just a ends up being fine.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Well, so far, that's definitely been the case. This will
be the final test of that. We're going to find
out soon enough what the league's investigation has determined and
what the league wants to do about it and whether
Kawhi gets to skate one more time or not. But

(10:24):
so far he's come out pretty good.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
But ultimately, Michael, he should skate.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
You know why, because it's the by laws of what
has to be done with the salary cap or whatever
lie with the team. I could ask you for anything,
I could ask you to break the rules or whatever,
and as an organization, it's on you, Michael. You're the
one that belongs to the group of thirty NBA teams
that have set forth these rules and said you cannot

(10:52):
do this to circumvent the cap. So if I'm going
to come down on anybody, it has to be on
the people who only organization who did business doing knowing
that what they were.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Doing was illegal according to the rules of the league.
Am I wrong?

Speaker 8 (11:09):
That's certainly the way I would interpret it, because yeah,
you're right. I mean, we all are in those kinds
of situations. Our kids ask us for stuff all the time,
and to them, you know, it's on us. But not
to say, Kawhi Leonards, you know, to draw direct comparisons.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
I know what you mean, right, right, So.

Speaker 8 (11:27):
I think, but I would go back to, like, there's
only one situation in league history that's kind of comparable.
You go back to Minnesota, Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
Smith.

Speaker 8 (11:37):
I remember that Smith, and you know the Timberwolves got
hammered like and and by the way, that was a
pretty cut and tried case because there was two signed
agreements in a drawer saying, you know, one you know
you'll play the first three years for this amount of money,
which isn't very much. And then there's another one signed
then we're going to pay you this much because that's
when we'll you'll be able to get it.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
But do you have paperwork?

Speaker 8 (11:59):
There? Right? There was work, and in that scenario, the
Timberwolves got smashed. They were hit with five first round picks,
eventually dropped down to two. But Joe Smith, the contract
he was on was voided. The previous two contracts that
he was on, we were also voided. They didn't take
away his money, but the existence of the contract was

(12:19):
was voided.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
We just said what they said. They didn't take no
money back.

Speaker 8 (12:22):
They didn't have the they didn't have the bird right,
so he didn't have bird rights. So he went he
was going to get eighty million yet in signing for
one year for two So I'm just saying it's happened
before and I'm not saying it's going to happen this time.
But uh so, I agree with you. I do think
it's a team issue and they're the ones that should
bear the responsibility and and whatever punishment comes down. But

(12:46):
and that's that's why this trade got the pause button
got hit on this trade today, is because there is
the possibility, however small, that Kawhi Leonard. Uh sorry that
was just still that anyway, but that there is a

(13:06):
possibility that that Kawhi Leonard will have some responsibility to
bear in this and if that's the case, the Raptors
will have to deal with it. And that's why they said, well,
we'd rather just wait and find out exactly what we're
dealing with. If I was continue with his trade.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
If I was Kawhi, I immediately say I want to
go to the Major League Baseball Players Association and have
them fight on my behalf. Yeah, that's the one you want,
you know what I mean, Michael, because they would fight,
They would fight.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
They would not allow that to happen.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
I don't disagree with that, but I do disagree with
with with Rob to an extent on the idea that
Kawhi like. There's also you just mentioned that the players Association.
Therefore they collective bargain. They know this stuff. They know
we can't do this, we know we can't circumvent.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
No, no, no, who's the onus on though?

Speaker 6 (13:48):
You know what I say.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
I'm not so I'm saying I don't see how he
was skate free and something he asked for something that
he knew was he asked for something.

Speaker 8 (13:56):
Here's the other thing, too, is did he ask for
it or did his.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
Upper and there you go and there and there's the
gray area.

Speaker 8 (14:02):
Where there's there's some gray area there too.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
But the representation got you a contract that you let's
say it was a fair one five here, two hundred million,
that that you're getting that money. So how am I
Now I can represent you in one thing, but I
can't represent another.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
No, but but but but now in this situation, I
could understand.

Speaker 5 (14:18):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
He could always say I didn't know what what the
terms were exactly. I'd never agreed to this NIS was
doing exactly, which is I do think I'll.

Speaker 8 (14:29):
Need that money. That that that's his, that's his issue.
I don't work. He doesn't represent me anymore. He went
agent at the time, So there's a lot of gray
area there.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
Uncle Dennis is definitely don't getting thrown up under that bus.
Whether he don't matter.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
Uncle Dennis has gotten paid very handsome, like.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Go take this for me, Go sit down, I'm a fire,
but you still uncle is still all love. But of
course that's his uncle's blood. Man, are you kidding? Yeah,
I think it's a I'm firing you, but I'm really not.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
I was just gonna say, stay with the Raptors. Let's
let's just play a little fun hypothetical. Something happened they
find Bomber and everybody, and let's say what you guys
were saying, nothing happens to Kawhi. He can play where
are the Raptors as far as let's just get to
the actual in between the lines are. Where do you
look at them with the addition of him.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
I think they're a top sixteen in the East. I
think the East has got better. I think does they
put them at the level of the Knicks Boston, I'm
not sure. I'm not so sure about that. But they're
going to be one of the probably eight teams right
now that are looking at the top four spot in
the East and saying we should have that, and the
Raptors would definitely be there. Does it make him an

(15:39):
NBA title contender? I think they probably would make it.
Need to make at least one more move to one
more significant move to make that happen. But they're a
better team now and they were they were fifteen and
the East last year. They probably could have should have
beat Cleveland in the first round. And they're a better
team now with Kawhi Leonard obviously than they were with
Brandon Ingram.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
And I also think, uh, you win a championship in
the city like Kawhi coming back is easy, like people
like you're You're the love for him can only be good.
He won the city the championship. You never forget that
and you never forget that. Laugh Am all right, Michael,
it's the all time, it's the all time greatest paid.

Speaker 8 (16:21):
He's a fun guy like he's he's a pop culture
icon in Toronto. So if it's all shakes out and
you know it's gonna be good times here, people are
pretty excited.

Speaker 6 (16:33):
We got to hit you with it. You know what.

Speaker 5 (16:37):
That's when David went up.

Speaker 6 (16:39):
David.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
When Adam Silver hands down his verdict on the whole
Kawhi thing, this is what Kawhi's comment's going to be
for Adam Silver, because Michael, I'm sorry, Adam Silver as
as soft as charman. Look at the gambling scandals that
he didn't move on. And then the feds came in

(17:02):
and got one of his coaches and got former players,
current players. They cleared Michael Beasley, they cleared Terry ROGI
here like, like.

Speaker 8 (17:12):
What is the I mean, I think you make a
great point. I mean when we talk about the Joe
Smith stuff back nineteen ninety nine, two thousand, that's that's
David Sterns, thank you. That's a that's a different world.
And here you are people for don't forget, but if
they have, you know, Steve Bomber is the greatest thing
that ever happened at himself, thank you. You know, he
came in, rescued the Clippers from a horrible situation.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
He had a gazillion dollars for that franchise.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
Dollars and remains.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
You know.

Speaker 8 (17:40):
He Look, he's one of the NBA's great owners. He's
built an incredible building, practice facility, He's done all these
things and he's got you know, his passion is unlimited.
So that's not a guy you want to go to
war with. Like it was a lot easier for David
Stern to come down hard on the Minnesota Timberwolves and
Glenn Taylor. This is not the Minnesota Timberwolves and Glen

(18:01):
Taylor or Glenn Taylor. The league. The I don't think
the Commissioner's office is nearly as powerful as it used
to be, And the examples EA site are are would
sort of suggest that. So I think, you know, I'll
be a little surprise. And again as much as look,
papl Tory, you know, I've listened to all the podcasts.

(18:22):
He's an incredible you know, I want to pull it
the prize I did, So there's definitely some I just
think that there's probably enough gray area, enough wiggle room
that you know, the worst case scenario in terms of punishments,
how it affects Sawhi Leonard, how it affects the Rappers,

(18:43):
how effects the Clippers, is probably not going to come
to come to pass.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
That could be run wat stuff, Michael, Thank you, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Big story in the NBA has nothing to do with
the encore product. That's because Jacob Toby, the television play
by play voice of the Spurs, has reportedly lost his
job amid an alleged affair with the sister of a
Spurs player or former player, currently a free agent, Lyndy Waters,

(19:26):
the third. The allegation went public this week after an
Instagram story from Toby's account, we assume hacked by his
then girlfriend with the following video or the following caption,
this is my girlfriend of six years, but I cheated
on her.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
With Lauren Waters and then tag Lauren Waters.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Feel free to continue following me if you really think
I'm a good guy because I'm not. A followed up
another Instagram story with a slideshow of photos showing Toby
and Waters kissing in a photo booth.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
And a lot of people are like, I haven't heard
Colin Cowhard, so hey, go get a lawyer.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Now they're firing people for ah.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Now there firing people for cheating on their girlfriends. Not
even it wise, here's why the San Antonio Spurs were
right and have the right to do what they did.
It's a conflict of interest, yes, just like Diana Russini.
It's a conflict of interest. He's not having an affair

(20:29):
with anybody. He's a broadcaster for the team. He's having
an affair with one of the player's sisters.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Are you going to.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Trash the player orb or point out how poorly played?
Probably not, because that's your side pieces brother. It's unprofessional.
Does Spurs have a right to say this is not
what we want. We don't want our broadcasters with a

(21:01):
conflict of interests. There's a problem here. You can do
whatever you want. It's not about morality. Can we get
over the morality tip? It's unprofessional. You can't treat that
player her brother the same way you treat the other players.
You know why, because you're rolling around in the hay

(21:24):
with his sister, you have a vested interest. If you
talk badly about her brother, maybe she won't give you
any maybe she cuts you off.

Speaker 6 (21:38):
Maybe he had a bonless couch too.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
He ain't have no boness anything when it came to this.
And my only point is it's unprofessional. And that's why
even in the thing we talked about it before with ABC, TJ.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
Holmes and I always forget the woman's name.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Same thing that we're both getting divorced, but they were
still legally married, had an affair, it became public. Both
lost their jobs on Good Morning America, and you say
that's their personal business.

Speaker 5 (22:10):
No, you know why TJ. Holmes and and the woman
lost their job.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
How could anybody look at them deliver the news to you.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
Fairly and objectively when you know.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
They were cheaters and they were and they were married
at the time of their affair, and while he wasn't married.

Speaker 6 (22:29):
Right, But that's a massive.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Because he's unprofessional because he's already compromised himself by sleeping
with someone who he has to cover and has to do.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
He ain't gotta cover hurt no him. No, he ain't
got to cover hurt. So we said we're gonna put
morality aside. It's not about I'm just saying, so I'm
saying my point, morality aside.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
He's wrong Church, Absolutely no.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
I'm saying, because that's a clear cut, we can stop
the conversation there. He was wrong, he shouldn't have done it.

Speaker 6 (22:59):
That was bad.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
What I'm saying is going opposite of what you're saying
in this part of it. This could have been Let's
say he was a broadcaster and all of a sudden
it's announced I'm engaged to the player's sister. Everyone would
have been like, oh, this is amazing, everybody happy of congrats.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
It'd have been a big deal.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
So is it because he had a girlfriend, or is
it because it's wrong, Because I think if this would
have worked out in an opposite way, that all of
a sudden he's been dating her, he loves her, they
get married, the player ain't even on.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
The team no more.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
By the way, I think this would be either a
celebrated or nothing burger. Now because again he has his girlfriend.
She put it out there, it's out there. He was
wrong for doing that. But that's my point, Robin, that is,
he's not married. He was dating a grown, consensual woman.
He wasn't dating a player's wife or something weird with
the player. That's his sister, who's another grown human being.

(23:50):
And if they chose to be together, we if they
fall in love and they were to get married, there'd
be no issue with that.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
So that's my only shay conflict adventures. You know, you
don't see a conflict.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
If I'm literally saying, if he would have pop up
and me engaged a married n you would not have.

Speaker 6 (24:04):
Thought to think about it.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Let me continue, Doc Rivers, Is there a conflict of
interest that he's coaching his son in law, let alone
guys who coach their son, I.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
Mean like Lebron getting his son on that.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Yeah, it's a complict of absolutely, But that's my point,
Doc Rivers.

Speaker 8 (24:19):
No.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
But but Seth Curry is married to Doc rivers daughter,
and that happens, and people coach them. You coach people's sons,
you coach your own son, you play with your son.
It happens. There are there are It's not the same
as co play. He's not a reporter. Play by play

(24:41):
is not where I'm critical of anything. He's literally saying,
going up tide line, pass it up for quarter to three.

Speaker 6 (24:46):
Hey, he's got it.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
You said people can play by play. Nobody's ever critical
talking about the plays or or that thing.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
Listen to Mike Breen. I don't never hear him say
nothing negative. All right, they could have a traveler call
and he'll be like, I grew up in New York
and I heard people will play by play. People talk
about bad plays in William Texas, San Anto ain't even so.
So I'm just saying that from a professional.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
I want to agree with you.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
If some type of reporter, can you give me, give me,
give me the ABC, good Morning America.

Speaker 5 (25:15):
Why did they both lose their jobs?

Speaker 6 (25:17):
That's going to marry you. That's I'm answering. They were
both married.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
I want their way to divorce them.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
This.

Speaker 6 (25:24):
It's a dude who's got a girlfriend.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
Who's that a grown consentual woman who is a sister
of a player, who ain't even on the Spurs.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I'm the Spurs. I don't want an announcer to be
in that. I don't I don't want them. I'm not disagree,
but I don't want them.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
To I don't want them to be involved.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
With anybody involved with the players, you compromise yourself.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
Let me do a Rod Parker to you. If they
this was nothing, He's just a young dude doing his job.
Pops up, he's marrying this this woman they loved there
and gad they've got made to get married on December fifth?

Speaker 6 (25:55):
What did would you would you care? Would you care? No?

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Once I find out the backstory and understand what was
going on, I'm saying, stop saying about that.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
If he was what I'm just saying, no's.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
A bad story. There's a backstory.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
I'm saying the backstory is he's dating her, he loves her,
they get married.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
No, there's a backstory, is that there's a relationship that
happened right because of her brother being on the team,
or proximity or whatever it may be. And then you
got to look at him and say, hey, I'll give
you this. That the idea that it went public, and
that is it becomes an embarrassment for the organization. I

(26:35):
agree that it being public is bigger than if you
did know it publicly, but that's always the case when
when things go public, it opens up a whole can
of worms, and organizations have the right to say this
is what we want our organization to be represented by. Regardless,

(26:55):
I can tell you right now, I can be on
my next week when I'm on Vagection, I could go
to a bar in New York, stand on top of
a table and start yelling anti Semitic stuff. I'm not working,
I'm not on the radio. I'm not working for I'm
off by vacation, right, I freedom. I can't say what
I want to say, right, but that would be you know,

(27:15):
I'm just I'm gonna answer your question. That is a
racial slur, and that can be used as you know,
I'm not working. I didn't do it on the radio.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Right, but that could be even if that could be
something that legally gets you in trouble. Okay, this is
nothing legal. He has a girlfriend. He has a girl.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
It's called a conflict of interest.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
How she's the sister of a player who ain't because
because he's not reporting on him, he's not his wife,
he's not playing, he's not taking the player's wife.

Speaker 6 (27:42):
That completely I want.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
To hear from people eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Let's let's try to get something.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
I can't coach my son in law in or my
let alone my own son.

Speaker 5 (27:51):
It's real easy. Did he deserve to get fired?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Did hot pants deserve to get fired from the San Antonio?

Speaker 6 (28:00):
Good dude, But I'm just saying, from.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
Age seven seven, take the case. I have a right
as an employer to say what I wanted.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
The relationsis you must have quit.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
To write to what I want to represent my organization,
and I'll go get another gig. That's why they have
moral clauses in all these contracts they do the yourself,
they do you have a moral clause. I have one,
and you can't just do whatever you want.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
And I'm really asking you what did he do? What
he did?

Speaker 1 (28:32):
He could he compromised himself by sleeping with somebody's sister.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
Eight seven seven, everybody, rob g is your wife or sister?

Speaker 5 (28:40):
No, but but but okay, my wife's a sister. But
she not being.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Covered by that team or that by that announcer.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
It's a big difference between them.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
He said, coming up sideline two and two on the clock,
I want the high glass out to George blah hih
