You're listening to the Best of the Odd Couple.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Flow Balligan, the US striker, the leading goal scorer on
their team, had been given a red card in their
previous match, which meant that he would have been suspended
for tonight's show down here against Belgium. Over the weekend, However,
President Donald Trump hopped on the phone with FIFA. Made
the phone call said Hey, I don't like the way
(00:46):
you guys gave my guy that red card. I didn't
like the way you used var What can we do
about now? According to FIFA, that card nothing to do
with what the old ruling was that an independent system
come in overturned out. Overturn suspended the red card for
one year, which means Flow Belligan, the striker for US,
will be playing tonight in about an hour for America,
(01:07):
and as a result, US is now favored to win
this game and move on to the matter it.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
We can only hope that the sports world of sports
gods correct this, because.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
Oh, this is the worst of the worst. All right.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
FIFA, I'm convinced, now stands for full of it when
it comes to football association, they're full of it. The
World Cup is now officially tainted. It is tainted. Whatever
the United States was gonna do. People gonna look back
at this and go see, if this was not in
(01:44):
the United States, this wouldn't happen. This is where sports
and then let the President of the United States bully
them into an action that just doesn't happen. They don't do.
It's talking about suspending the red card. Suspend it if
it didn't happen, take it away totally. But it did happen.
(02:05):
And the only reason they are making changing their minds
is because unfortunately they're cowards, and their coward to the
President of the United States.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
They allowed Trump.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
To put his hands, his paws, his fingerprints on what
was turning out to be a great event, the World
Cup here in the United States. If I was Belgium,
I wouldn't even play the game today. I would not play.
I would protest I would say, hell, no, we won't play.
(02:37):
If you want the United States to win, we'll step
aside and you can have the game and go ahead
and crown them. Because you want to manufacture the United
States winning a World Cup?
Speaker 5 (02:51):
Is that what we want? They killed it. What a
buzz kill.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Anybody who's gonna watch this and feel good about it,
you're blind. If this happened to any other team, if
you were a Dodger fan or a Yankee fan and
some player was suspended and they were put back on
the team to play in the World Series, you would
be irate.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
And everybody in this.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Country with the red, white and blue goggles on.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Now they're cool with it too, right.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
They're making what you wrong. You'll make it right now.
I don't know why Belgian is upset. They're scared, that's
not it. They're not afraid they kicked the United States.
But when they played an exhibition five to two in soccer,
that's getting blowed out. They got blowed out. Belgium not
afraid of the United States. They want the rules to
(03:48):
be the rules and not to have them changed midstream.
It's a disgrace what happened, and people embrace it.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Anyway, and again, if the sports gods are real, the
United States will lose and it won't matter ultimately, and
Belgium will still go on their way.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
So pissed you are, and I'm not understanding why you're
so mad? Number one, Rob, don't get all excited about soccer. Wow, Okay,
where have you been for thirty days? We've been waiting
on you. Now now you want to get all excited
about it. Got veins coming out your forehead and all that.
Listen here. First of all, I can understand a bit
(04:33):
of your frustration, and I fully understand if I was Belgium, right,
I can understand that, absolutely, I get it. Here's the thing, though,
you set up here acting like FEFA has not been
corrupt for decades. FIVA has been corrupt in so many instances,
we know it. You're talking about all the bribing scandals
that have happened over the last ten years. How far
(04:53):
back you want to go? You want to go back
to when they are basically using slaves them to build
these some of these world class football states across the world.
I mean, you can go on and on of what
they've been doing, of the scandals that FIFA has had
similarly to the IOC when it comes to the Olympics.
So these places have been crooked. They've been taking money,
they've been taking bribes, they've been being scandalous to how
(05:15):
they use people in labor. So the FIFA has been crooked.
Now to this specific instance. The reason why people feel
like it is okay or they've been vindicated is not
just because they did us a favor, Rob. It's because
he never should have got the red card in the
first place. And they use tactics that are hardly ever
(05:36):
used when it comes to how they looked at Belligan.
First of all, they use slow motion. They hardly ever
used slow motion. So it seemed like they were hell
bent on finding something to get in the red car.
For why are you looking at it this way, looking
at that way slow motion when you don't do that
for anyone else. So that was the first thing that
got people upset. Then you get in the red car,
that got people up sent Then they don't you know,
(05:57):
rescind it or anything initially, And now you look at this.
You ever heard of a thing called article twenty seven, Rob,
You know what that is? Let me tell you what
that is. Article twenty seven is used by FIFA, and
that's exact same thing that got Christiano Ronaldo to be
able to participate in this World Cup because in the
last in the World Cup qualifier.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
The last game, make sure you we got right, he got.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
A red card, and he got a red card that
was supposed to ban him for three matches, not one three.
And you know what happened when the World Cups tipped off.
When it kicked off, Cristianno Ronaldo was out there and
New Ho just had a tearful joy earlier today all
got to say by by to the crowd Christianno Ronaldo
and that's exactly what happened, and they made an exception
(06:43):
for him. And Danget you know, I live with a
lawyer and that's called president. And he asked President, once
you did it for him, well, Dagon, you can do
it what else is needed, And that's what happened with
Belligan and Dagget USA up in this mug. Can't believe
you right now, rob on Patriotics, I don't even know
who you are right now, call.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
Me on Patreo out of all you want. All I
know is I'm a truth teller and I'm always going
to be.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
On the right.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
I just told you. They know you did not and this.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
It's why, that's why it's tainty.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Somebody the United States loses tonight, then people will understand
it's the worst way you.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
Want to go out. You don't want to do that.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
You don't want to put yourself where people no matter
what happens. Oh yeah, they won because they they got
their player back or they lost anyway, and then what
will be the excuse if they lose, then what will
it be.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
It's just it's awful. It takes away from the event.
It just I don't I don't disagree with I will
say this. You know I laid out all the stuff
with that, but I will say the big downside for
me more than the USA, because I think the USA
will be find meaning the fans. If other people around
the country think Americans are big headed and pig headed,
(07:56):
hey you know what, if they look just simply on
social media, they might not be wrong. But who I
feel the worst for is for Belligan, because Flow Belligan
has been spectacular. He's an incredible shouldn't it.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
Shouldn't he shouldn't have done it?
Speaker 1 (08:10):
I mean he did just that. He did not know
what has said that was a red card?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
What do you mean know one the official analysts, the
official call in the game. What analysts have you listened
to the United States analysts who all have an American flag?
Speaker 5 (08:23):
Have you not been watching the work up?
Speaker 1 (08:25):
They're not Americans analysts for the one on Fox and
there are analysts are all the analysts on Fox. I'm
literally answering your question. Analysts all around soccer saying he
should not have got the red card.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
And that's what the official who who who officiates soccer,
and that's what he does for eleven thought he got
He deserved it.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Right then, That's why they didn't.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
Overturn it until until Trump knows.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
I disagree with that. Don't talk about that.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
And that's what makes it worse. That's and what makes
it worse is Belligan didn't deserve it.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
He's been spectacular and now if he were to go
out and score a goal today and they win, people
will hold that against him when it was not his
fault in the first place.
Speaker 2 (09:07):

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Well, Rob, I had a trash talk you never had
time to get to. I'm trashing Heraldo Rivera. Oh, I
want to know why that's racist. That's a little racist.
Speaker 7 (09:43):
You want to know because he is a n A
HJ Hall of Famer and he never had menteen Night
and Magic City.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
I thought it was you know, you were supposed to
do that as a Hall of Famer of the National
Association of insert race here Journalism. And you're a hall
of famer. Your job is to lead the next wave
of journalists. I am leading the dark curtain onto the
dark stage sitting around I.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Gotta be dark, gonna be dark. What you're saying about
that is that?
Speaker 1 (10:17):
I mean, how you know he wasn't that? Uh, gotta
be racist?
Speaker 5 (10:21):
How do you say? Mag We hear you on the
air right now. I know, gosh, what do you know what?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Rob?
Speaker 3 (10:29):
We could have went to the one from from Dusk
till Dawn. I can't say the name on the air,
but because it's inappropriate. But we could have done that.
Why do you you know I'm mad at your trash.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Let me be trash. You should help me in this
trash of rob G.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
After all these years of him knowing you, all these
years I've been knowing you by what eight years? Rob
G has never gone to na h J as much
as you talk about as much as I talk you
need to go there? So what is I'm trashing you?
Why don't you ever go? Hurrado might have invited you.
Had you went, it might be a secret to anything
you just don't.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Know about, like the Illuminati. I won't go that far. Okay,
made about that. I'm like Rob he might not have
a flyer maid, but.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
It would have just been a text that would address it.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
Might be a whisper.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Rob over here, get shirt, get rob Dog.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
I don't even understand why all the good that I do,
gosh and none of it seems to don't even bring
the violins, Alex bring him. All I've ever done was
try to help the next generation. Like that's my calling,
Like you know, like your dad and Rob you your
dad and and Alex whatever conspiracy exactly. But all I've
(11:47):
tried to do since I'm sans kids is try to
help the next generation.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
I'm still heavy on the allegedly sands kids thing. I
think there's a thirty.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Two year old.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
You don't think I wanted to take my son to
his first club.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Of course I did.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
Strawberry Parker was gonna be at the stage making it rain.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
But I didn't know I was gonna meet to generations
to Parker men. But the idea that there's something wrong
with going to a legitimate business and establishments not the
end of the.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Whoa, whoa, whoa whoa.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Don't fast forward past that, just say it, where's my bra?
This is that you wanted to be like Lebron at
the club with my son, Yo, Alex, He sunded like
he was taking into Applebee's.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
I wanted to break bread with these young men.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
That's on it, to break bread and imagine T shirts
like a seam iat wear a T.
Speaker 5 (12:40):
Shirts when they get them, forever, commemorate the moment. That's
all it is.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Is your name gonna be on the shirt?
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Of course? Oh yeah, of course, Rob.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
How don't you get mint teen night, not mint tea
tona night?
Speaker 5 (12:54):
How don't you get that? You know what when when
you go to a new city, Alex helped me out.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
So you're going somewhere on a convention you want to
like if you were in where do we go Birmingham, Alabama?
You do the whole bridge, and you know and and
and the civil rights movement, you know, you follow those
steps when you go to Atlanta. There's a lot of
stuff down there as well civil rights, but there's a
lot of historical things that you want to be a
part of. And you can't go down there and experience
(13:26):
Atlanta without the idea magic city is a landmarksgree and
that we have Magic City Monday here because we love
uh Magic city. How I got in the Wei but okay, stay.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Off the weeds. That's what's opened.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
You put me in the French WII up on that thing.
But it's all right, Rob. Nobody said don't go. Nobody
said don't go with a couple of the homies. But
to have minteen nights is wild.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
I love how you compared it to civil rights.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Movements to the King right now, I do want he
compared it to you trying to get people to go
to church.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I didn't even want to use that. Oh, but you
and Chris Busa and invite people to church and pray.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Exactly and make them feel one little weird like nobody
has ever weird.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
I can't say no, he's invited me to for two years.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
You ain't came yet.
Speaker 8 (14:21):
Day Worship and Magic City to just something now, Calvin,
youanting the basket guy, put her on the pole, Mitch.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
We're both making donation. We are rob g Can you
see him now? Anyway? So anyway, this is what you
need to do in journalism. You like what your man
talking about, Well, this is how I throw my ones. Now.
Speaker 5 (14:43):
Normally I like to get a.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Vertical angle to almost like a picture. Here's sports for
your sports journalism one on one And sometimes I use
a screwball when I want to get it right there
so that it doesn't hit the ground. You know what
I mean.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Remember, you gotta set the precedent. You gotta tip and
then you pull back. Now here's for I keep a
string on it so nobody knows that I pull it back. Okay,
y'all will just I try. I tried to do the
right thing. Try. I try to do the right thing
to help establish like a bond.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Sometimes you know, got to take people to their own
environment so that they can have a bond with you.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
Especially Wait, what's their own about it? Their own? Did
you just put young black men in the box their own?
What in the shut up and shut up and shut
up and twork is crazy? Shop? Can I wait till
August tenth so I could get to the convention and
(15:41):
get it over with? I mean, but I do want
it over Wenna, have a great time.
Speaker 8 (15:46):
With the stupid ass diet. I'm gonna go to this
dumb convention and that's it. Oh under five pictures we.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Get that night. It was a success. No pictures, Well,
not not of that, but just the fact that you
have the time of your life cheesing up in there.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
All right. All I'm gonna say is speaking of the diet.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
And I do want to give an update when Kelvin
said I had no shot at reaching my goal where
you at one ninety six, sixteen pounds away from my
goal with five weeks to go, Now I'm gonna concede
that I might get.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
You know what I mean, like five pounds away. I
could get eleven pounds and I know I can't. I
know I can. I don't want you to.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
I think you'll find out, because, bro, if we go
down with Atlanta, some get into it and we gotta scrap.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
You get a little too skinny, brouht have a little
something and you tell them.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
But but the idea that I got that got that
that far off, you know what I mean? Knock that
much weight off. It's impressive.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
I told you.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
And the best part about it is you promised that
you're not gonna put that much weight on this. No, no, no,
I'm gonna. I'm gonna change next time. I really am.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
I'm not. I went crazy last year. I'm And the
good thing is the super Bowl is here, so I'm
not gonna eat like I did when when we're on
the road, because remember why not, because we're not on
company dime anymore.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
Wait, we're not right, rob g. When they have it here,
do they give us a yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (17:11):
Okay, So.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Have been moved to Sofi Stadium. Minteen night is going down.
You on Google right now trying to find the place.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
All I'm gonna tell you is one mentee who did
not get an invitation was highly disappointed and actually offended
that they didn't get one.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
No, no, no, no, no. We know those who are
going to attend, Are going to have a great time?
That's not the question, Rob.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
We know that.
Speaker 5 (17:42):
It's just a menteen night. This sounds crazy, all right,
and you gotta logo. That's the best part about it too.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to

Speaker 5 (18:00):
Alright, hey, Rob g news in the NBA.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Yeah, breaking news right before we got on air. We
kind of felt it coming, and it hit in a
big way. According to ESPN Shaan Sharanya, Victor Wambanyama, Rob
Parker's favorite Frenchman at least temporarily got.
Speaker 5 (18:18):
Everyone knows it's whim.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Ugh Ugh Ugh Ugh got himself a new extension in
San Antonio. It sounds good at first. You know it's
gonna be making five years two fifty two. The only
problem is he was eligible for five years three zero two.
It took a fifty million dollar haircut to help out
the front office there in San Antonio, and mister Parker's
(18:42):
not very happy about it.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
It makes no sense. Wemby, Wemby, what are you doing?
You've been brainwashed too.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
It is unbelievable how these athletes have been brainwashed by
front office people owners. Has he looked at the landscape
of what's happened, how players have been traded away because
they don't want to get the owners don't want to
pay these guys don't want to get these extensions. And
(19:12):
you're taking fifty million less than you have to for
what reason? For what reason? Why do you need to
take less? Let them figure out what they're doing. Wemby,
you should be a guy who leads the way. You're
the next guy in the NBA. You're the guy who
(19:32):
people can look at and follow, and you're a young
guy with a long career.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Don't do this. You can't do this again. This is
a colossal mistake. You should get what you're entitled to
as the GM. Did he take a cut so that
there's more money for the other staffers? As the owner?
Speaker 4 (19:56):
Will he have a cap on profits? How about an
owner's profits cap? Kelvin, If I said the owners can
only make ten percent profit on their investment, how many
would sell the team the next day? They wouldn't go
for that right as an owner? Why in the world
are players dumb?
Speaker 5 (20:14):
And I say that.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
Seriously, like this whole idea of Patrick Mahomes was Bamboozlo
signed one of the worst contracts ever saw. They touted
five hundred million, Rob g sixty three million was guaranteed
when he signed the contract.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Who did they get rid of?
Speaker 4 (20:37):
They got rid of everybody, right like tyreek Kill had
to go, Honey Badger had to go, Snead had to go,
and then don't forget Chris Jones had to sit out
to get his money. But they told Patrick, yo, if
you don't take as much, we'll be able to do this.
(20:58):
Tom Brady did the same thing to the Patriots. Go
there's a long list of Patriots guys who never got
paid by the organization. They used up their talents young
and never got the money, and Tom Brady took less.
And then they did a story Rob G correct me
(21:20):
the Boston Globe.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
The Patriots are one of the teams that didn't spend
the extra money. They barely spend money on free agents.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
All they ever talked about was Tom Brady did all
of this with no receivers, with no names, guys who
were working at dunkin Donuts.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
They didn't go out and sign anybody big time.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
They got Randy Wallas because he was dumped by the
Raiders right up because of the whole situation there.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
He was.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
On the downside, he won a star that they went
out and got and got money that he rehabilitated his
career in New England.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
My point is it's not your job to save the organization.
You don't have to do that. You're not a bad
person if you don't take less. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Well, I don't think you're no. You're listen. Anybody wanting
to get paid, especially when you deserve it. You're talented,
you're twenty two, you're already to have been to the
Dagon Finals, the.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
Fifteen Peas during the postseason.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah, I get it. So I'm with you on that.
Anybody who wants to take more money, I get it.
I'm not mad me or you would want to take
more money. Here's the difference. Here's where I disagree or
push back. Rob. The challenge is you brought the owners.
The owners don't have a cap. Unfortunately in the NBA
not MLB, they have caps. So that means, hey, Wenby,
(22:33):
I wish I could pay you the one hundred and
twenty a year you're worth. Lebron Steph. These guys would
have been worth crazy Bunny every year. But there's a cap,
so I can only pay you in this case three
zh two, But you wanted the two fifty two because
in order for me to sign Castle and then Dylan
Harper who's behind him, and all of that, I'm gonna
need money because we have a cap, so I get
(22:53):
your point. But the owners they can there is no
caps so they can make as much as they want.
And here's the difference.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
The challenge with a guy like Wimby and some other
players that you named, and other players in general, is
because they want to win, because their legacy is not
going to be based on how much money they accumulated.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
They're not gonna go man, Wiby's the goat.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Why because he got five fifty, five hundred and fifty
million dollars in his career. No, they're gonna say he's
a goat because he got four or five, six, seven
rings whatever it is, and he was able to win
a bunch. And that's the key part. So if you
look at the women, but you don't let me let
me say, hold on, hold on. All I'm saying is
if Winby looks at this ass. Well, Okay, if I
(23:33):
can save some money here, and then he saves some
money here, maybe his castle up in the year or
two whatever, and we keep this thing together for four
or five years, we can win a few. And Wimby
is more niacal about winning. The boy was crying when
he lost to nineteen in Under the Chin. The boy
cried with France lost to the United States in the
in the Olympics. The boy cried when he won the
(23:53):
Western Conference final. He cried when he that gone All
Star Game. He cares, he's defensive player of the Year.
He plays both sides of the ball. He wants to win.
It matters to him, and he wants to have an
insane legacy with a war trow, of a trust chest
of a million different accolades and awards. And if he
knows if I give up ten million dollars a year
(24:13):
what it averages out to, which after taxes comes down
about five, I think I'll be all right five million
dollars a year. What you know, we ain't even accumulated
what he's making in France, because he's probably one of
the massive stars there instead of in Bapeup. So my
point is I'm with you. I'm not mad if he
chose to make the money, because we know he deserves it.
But I get why he and other players alike would
(24:35):
not want to because they're wanting to win, because ultimately
Kelvin and Rob are gonna look at them and on
their show five, ten, fifteen years from now and go, well,
he only won one, he only won two. He can't
be the gold, or he can't be this, or he
only got this.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
But he knows that your argument holds no water because
saving the organization money doesn't mean that you're going to win.
If you misspend it, or if you have a bad
general manager, or if you spent free all right, so
there's no guarantee even if he gives you a discount
that you're gonna win. You're automatically thinking they misspent money
(25:09):
when they gave the Aaron Fox a new deal. That's
the that's where the problem came in. So so you
can misspend the money or just like oh, i'll tell
you the philosopher Josh like he is just like Patrick
Mahomes when you kept going they don't want to have
any receivers. No, they had a receivers and they was
Tyreek Hill and you know what they said. They didn't
want to pay him, even though Patrick Mahomes took him,
(25:32):
took took a cud say so.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
I'll take a I'll give you some cuts. Lebron James,
d Wade, Chris Bosh all take cuts to get together
fifteen million dollars. We know goodwill each of them was
way more than that. And they go to the finals
fourth year straight years they win a couple we've seen
his historic well the.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Other fifteen years that Lebron James played, I mean you're
talking about that, he had no choice.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Yes, I'm giving you an example giving guys who got
together who said I could have gone here. All the
money they got together, not one they won.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
It's because of their salaries. That's not why they won.
It was because they're good.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
No, they won. They got you exactly the probs. Literally
the point if Lebron James, the best player in the league,
wanted to be paid like the best player in the league,
he wouldn't have been able to get with them. He
wouldn't have had the talent you're talking about, and he
would couldn't win. That didn't mean you can't win. Nobody
said it could never win.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
I'm justo.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
It makes all the sense in the world.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
I just got this.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
I want to give myself as many to win.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
So the Mets have the second highest payroll, the Dodgers
have the highest payroll.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Did you think the Dodgers have been good just the
last two.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
Years when they won the World Series? Or was there
or were they good and had a high payroll for
the last ten years or fifteen years they didn't win.
It's not automatic because you're saving money or spending money
that you win as money.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
At the worst. Worst baseball is the most non equivalent.
We talked about Philade seventy sign they get signing people,
they haven't one jack trust the process. Hear me out process,
no lose.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
Get these draft picks, develop them, and then they're gonna
put together.
Speaker 5 (27:13):
The super team and win. They never won.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
We never won the draft picks.
Speaker 7 (27:18):
Never.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
With the conversation about money, Mike bringing up any of that,
you know, the baseball has nothing to do with it.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
None of that has anything to do with winning.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Con job.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
It's a con job. It's a con job.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Tim Duncan job sticking together with his team to do
exactly the point.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
You know that money has has anything to do with winning.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
That has no proof of anything. You don't have to point.
I just said we have proof of anything. The point
is I'm trying to put as many cogs in as
possible to.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
Have Joseph when you're gonna win as the New york Man,
to have the high payroll, stop it.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Literally, nothing in life means you're gonna win.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
Literally, So that's why I don't need to take it.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
But if I give myself better chance, if I give
myself a better.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Let the Aaron Fox take a cut. How about that,
let's somebody else. I'm not saying what I'm saying he
made a mistake.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Still be absolutely is trying to win as many finals
as possible because he knows his legacy ain't gonna be
based on well, he could have got an extra eighty
million throughout his total.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
It ain't about that he still could not win. He
could take a cut and never win. And then what
would your conversation be.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
You would your conversation be if he doesn't win and
he takes cuts, what would it be.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
That he gave it a try to keep his team together.
I made my point very clear
