the the Bears get it done twenty four point fifteen
in Philadelphia, almost three hundred yards on the ground. What
were your takeaways from that? Was a huge win for
the Bears. Demoralizing.

When you can run on a team for three hundred
yards have two separate backs go over one hundred yards,
that means you've been posed your will on this team.
And so you talk about Ben Johnson to Ben Johnson
higher going to Chicago and you talk about guys coming
in and changing the culture.

Right, he said we're gonna be a physical team, and
a lot of coaches.
Speaker 7 (05:04):
Say that we're going to be physical, we're going to
run the ball, and we're going to you know, that's
going to be our identity. Early on in the year,
they started out going two That wasn't that wasn't who
they were yet, and.

They got blown out in that second game by the line. Yes,
you remember, think about where they've come from exactly those
first two games.

People were ready to write them off and say, like,
this is another guy that came in and was talking
to big talk. Now what are they saying? This team
is reeled off nine of the last ten games. They've
come back in a few games where you know, like
they shouldn't have won, but they were were able to
get it done.

So what good teams do.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
Shows resiliency, shows that they're on their way nope to
being a good team. And then you come into it
on a Black Friday, on a holiday game at home,
defending champions, and you win the way they did today.
Big time win for the Bears, that's my takeaway. It's
a big time win, no doubt.
Speaker 9 (05:53):
And you know me, I was out front on this
whole Chicago Bears thing, especially when it comes to Caleb Williams,
and then I saw his toss.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
No, I'm a believer and not a trace of doubt
in my mind. I'm in them. Became believe. I couldn't
leave him if I tried. Right there. And you know

what people say, Oh Caleb did have a big game.

I beg to differ. And you know what, they were
running the ball and was effective. You don't need to
force it. That was working. But when they needed the
big touchdown carry you saw it. That was to comment.

one hundred and fifty yard now, I don't want to

big time throw. It's one of those throws that you
would have to make in the playoffs. Yeah, just show
that he can make it. We talk about it all
the time. There's certain throws that have to be made. Yes,
completions that have to be made. We saw in that

Lion's game on fourth down. Jordan Love did it too? Yes,
that sealed the game. You gotta make up that's a line.
That's a glutsy call right there.

You don't The Lions have the ball at midfield, have
a chance to march down and maybe tie the game. Right,
and with that wacky coach Dan Gamble, they might have
gone for.
Speaker 7 (10:15):
Two we're talking about Yeah, but yeah, I agree with
you on that he's doing too much.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
I don't know what else the Bears have to do.
They they've that win was so huge. It looks like
they could win the division. And the thing, they could
win the division. Who would have thought that they would
win the NFC.
Speaker 7 (10:32):
Nor Yeah, I wouldn't have said that. But the thing
about winning rob just like losing. It's contagious, Right, You
start doing the same the winning things. You start doing
the right things on a consistent basis, and you start
to get momentum. And then once you start to get momentum,
you get to see the success on tape on game day,
and after that happens, the avalance of belief begins. And

I think that's the biggest word that I got from
this game, the takeaway. It's belief. You can see the
player after the game. I was excited to get to win,
but looking at each other like they believe they're gonna
win this game anyway, and you have to have that
to go into Philidepia win the game.

Kelvin and I we argue all the time when they
talk about changing the culture, and I said, I always say,
I always hear that. You know, when you change the culture,
when you start to win and people start believing in

they started to win, then players buy in. Now I'm

Shows resiliency, shows that they're on their way nope to
being a good team. And then you come into it
on a Black Friday, on a holiday game at home,
defending champions, and you win the way they did today.
Big time win for the Bears, that's my takeaway. It's
a big time win, no doubt.

whole Chicago Bears thing, especially when it comes to Caleb Williams,

I think that's the biggest word that I got from
this game, the takeaway. It's belief. You can see the
player after the game. I was excited to get to win,
but looking at each other like they believe they're gonna
win this game anyway, and you have to have that

to understand is Curry and I have talked about this
before on Sunday Week one, collide to you. You have
to be careful. Remember the Raiders beat the Patriots in

Week one and that's why it lies to you. Don't
pay any attention to it. So what it is is,
you know you have to wait four games you start
to see a pattern. And Ben joneson this is what
I've been told about Ben Johnson. He coaches his players hard,
and he coaches and players hard. Okay, he goes after him,
he gets on them. There's no let up. And someone

from the Lions told me you would know about Ben
Johnson within four months. He's with these players, either they
buy in or there'd be mutiny. They'd hate him because
he's he's relentless and the buying guys. I mean, they
win a lot of close games, and Rob you were
alluding to that, but they they find a way to
win the close games. And this running game was crazy.
I mean they had eighty four yards in the first quarter.

surprises this season. I know carry you like New England

that obviously great call. Yeah, Denver, back to back years
like this, but the Colts won, ye, the Bears one,
the Patriots, I just didn't see that. Seattle was my

call that I have them as a playoff team, and
they've come through Detroit's going to have a real hard
time that last playoff spot between the Niners, Lions, and Cowboys.
Most likely that thing is going to be hot. I mean,
this is one of the few years Rob that to me,
the NFC is a little bit better than the AFC.

I said, no Chiefs in the playoffs and no Lions

one score game that every break last year, you remember

ready to go in to win the game, they fumble
the ball. It was just a lot of stuff that
went their way. And now they're on the other side
of it, and you look at it and Patrick Mahomes

they lost.

Hard to believe, but their defense, he's spending all of
their defensive struggle. They were a week at corner. Other
than McDuffie. They missed on Kristin Fulton, who was a
free agent come in for the come over the Chargers.
There's guaranteed money next year. They benched him. He didn't
play anymore. They had a rough offseason. They revamped their
offensive line. It's not worked out like they thought it would.
This is one of the worst offseasons they've had under
any Reid and Breadfach the GM. They just they've missed

on too many players. It shows. And you know it's
a Shane Travis Kelsey's really played well.
