Now let's get this party started.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
With that password, guess what? You are and you now
have full.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Access to this very fine radio program for the next
three hours.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Not two, not three, not four, not five, not six.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
No matter how you listen in, Fox Sports Radio, foxsportsradio.com,
the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Sirius XM Channel 83.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Wow!
Speaker 2 (01:03):
And now, live on YouTube. Do it live! I'll write
it and we'll.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
Do it live!
Speaker 6 (01:11):
Do it!
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Say my name. Rob Parker. Say his name. Kelvin Washington.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
And we are indeed the Odd Couple on this Trash Talkin' Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
And you'll need our phone number because we are, without question,
the most listener-friendly national sports talk radio show on the planet.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
Ben Mauer.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
At least when people are still awake. I'm tired of
saying this.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
When else does it count?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Sorry about that.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
It's got to be when people are awake, right? Ben,
we can't help. We can't change the rules, okay? Write
it down. Commit it to memory. 877-99 on Fox. And
for you laymen who can't figure out the letters and numbers...
What's that? It's not trigonometry. 877-996-6369.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
And if you hear feedback on the line when you
do call in, it's your own fault. It means only
one thing.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
You forgot to turn down the radio.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
And if you call in here and have a problem
with what we say, tough, because... Well, I'm talking to
you the way I want to talk to you.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
If you have a problem, turn off your station. Turn
off your station, Rob. With that said, always remember... The
Odd Couple was filmed in front of a live audience. Sweet-a-be-dee.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Let's go. Big show. Let me welcome in my co-host.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
He is Calvin Washington.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Oh, yeah, man. Trash Talkin' Tuesday. Back in the building.
This is your... You all right over there? Hold on.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Let's go get some water, man. That's what happens when
you do 42 shows in 24 hours. I know you
need water. Yeah, let me take this over. So, yeah,
I'm doing well.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Thanks for asking, Rob. You go get some water right now.
Everything's good. Alex, you would appreciate this. What's up? Your
boy was in them streets. Stop it. And knowing I
had to be up at 3 o'clock in the morning.
You too old for the streets. I know, I'm too
old for the streets. What were you doing out there?
I was at the J. Cole concert. Oh, what?
Speaker 7 (03:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
Cold world?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
It was cold world. How cold?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
It was super cold when he realized, as Rob G
told me, he wouldn't let me leave. He was like,
y'all can't go. I'm like, bro, I got to get
up in the morning and anchor the news. I got
to take off the streetwear and throw on the suit, Alex.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Okay. He wouldn't let me.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Who else came out? Just all his Dreamville artists. Got you.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
So it was dope.
Speaker 8 (03:38):
So good night, man.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Bunch of stuff with the kids. Everything's been good. Labor
Day was good. You here? I haven't left. Okay.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
You are, Rob. I'm still here. You're over here? Yeah,
we were just talking about you. We haven't left yet, Rob.
We're still here. You and Alex. Oh, my God. That's right.
Me and Alex. My man.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
But today, thank you, Alex, for being here. Steve DeShaga
was here. I appreciate the hard work you guys put
in on the holidays.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Thank you. You're welcome, Rob.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
All right.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Did we welcome any odd couple crew? Well, no. We
just talked about life in pursuit of happiness. Well, let's
welcome any odd couple crew. Our producer, Rob G. Blood
Mexican is Alex, our engineer.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
How you doing, T?
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Rob G and the family, they were out spending big bucks,
as they always do. I do owe him some bucks.
He got something for me. I love the lifestyle. Just live, baby.
He does. Just live. I see him in a new Tesla.
You know?
Speaker 6 (04:29):
All the time.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
My only issue with Rob G is he can't be
living out here spending all this big money and be
pocket watching us, Alex.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
That's all I'm saying. That's okay. That's where we live at.
You know what?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
The New York Times did a good post about that.
You should read it. The Daily Podcast. That little pay
later thing, have you ever seen that? Every time you
try to buy something, pay later. Boy, they're getting everybody
with that.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Oh, I bet.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Because you're paying way more, you go buy something for $ 20.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
By the time you pay later, it's $ 40. It's less
money than credit cards. The issue is people are doing
it with everything because it's so small.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
It's only $ 80. It's only $ 100.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
And they say they're looking up and they're in crazy
debt because they keep, oh, I'm going to do this,
I'm going to do this, I'm going to do this.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Nah, it's crazy. All right, Steve DeSegars at the Anchor Desk. Hey, Steve.
He'll keep us updated throughout the program. And, of course.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
Never heard of him. Hey.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Elijah is our social media guru, and he's been bugging
me forever. Tonight is the last night... Of the total
on Shekel City. Were you 0-3 yesterday? And then we're
going to reset. No, I was not 0-3. But this
is because the first football game is tomorrow. So I
need to reset. So after this, when we do Shekel City,
I need to know.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Rob G. will tell me finally if you made money
or not.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
That's what we need to know.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
All right.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
One more day. This is it.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
And so we got a lot to get to today.
And I should say, make sure you check us out
on YouTube.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it!
Speaker 5 (05:55):
Do it!
Speaker 2 (05:55):
There we go. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
So definitely on this Trash Talking Tuesday, check out our
YouTube channel. Just search Odd Couple FSR on YouTube. Again,
hit that subscribe button and search Odd Couple FSR.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Okay? Who was the winner here? Somebody's crying like a
baby on the tennis. Did Tiafoe win?
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
He was up 7-3 in the tiebreaker, but the dude
was crying.
Speaker 6 (06:21):
He lost?
Speaker 2 (06:22):
His mom don't look happy. But he's crying like a baby.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Is it because he lost? Yeah, he was unranked, and
Tiafoe was 11th, so it was a big deal. He
was right there. So he had a chance. Yeah, he
had a chance. He pushed him. He pushed him. I
got it. Okay.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
I was trying to— I ain't going to lie. I
thought it was the championship the way he was crying.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
I thought he was crying for another reason, but that's
between me and you. Oh, boy. Alex, why are you
shaking your head?
Speaker 7 (06:47):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Rob, caution.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
What?
Speaker 2 (06:50):
It's the first day back. Don't do it.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
We're in full effect. I didn't know who was who.
I just saw the guy crying like crazy and all that.
Speaker 6 (06:58):
Racist.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
No.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
You know who's who. Stop it.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
How dare you?
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I did not. Boy. All right.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
And you know what, Kelvin, real quick? I know Rob
G is sick, but one last thing. It's the 60th
anniversary of this show. The 60th anniversary.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
I thought you were talking about you.
Speaker 6 (07:16):
No.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
I was going to say you're older than Aqualine.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Space.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Space.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
The final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Oh, yeah,
you bought your heart attack.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life
forms and new civilizations.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
To boldly go All right.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
Here it is.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
We'll talk about it at the top of the hour.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
That's a groundbreaking, unbelievable show that only lasted three years
on NBC and still going.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
All right, we got a lot to get to, Rob G.,
on the sports side.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
A lot of stuff that I can't wait to dive into,
including Rams news.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I mean, I miss a day. We get back to
10 after. I love it. You know, this is great.
This is great. That's why I don't take time off. Yes,
big news in the world of the NFL. It doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Some people have four hours and they can't get there.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
So what's the point? Wait, whoa, that sounded crazy. I
don't compare myself to others, Rob. Okay. We set the
high standard for ourselves right here.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Let's go.
Speaker 8 (08:19):
Yeah, so Aaron Donald, the big fish in the big
pond here in Los Angeles, the big acquisition this offseason.
Step aside, Miles Garrett. Aaron Donald's here. That's why the
Rams are Super Bowl favorites today. But he's like, you
know what? I ain't going to make it there week
one in Australia. So I'm going to stay home. You
guys take care of that against the Niners. I'll be
here holding it down in L.A.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
And, Kelvin, I'm not even going to beat around the bush.
Aaron Donald is worse than LeBron James. You want to
talk about a guy who's trying to hitch his wagon
to what he believes would be another championship team. And
the worst part about what's going on here is he's
(09:05):
been flirting with this whole idea.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's been going on for months.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
He ain't ready to play the first game because he
don't want to fly to Australia. If I'm a teammate,
I'm saying, wait a minute. So here's the reasons he
came back. They got this team that is favorite to
be the Super Bowl champs. they get Myles Garrett in
the trade, so that means less work for him. So
(09:30):
chance to win another championship, less work because all the
concentration will be on Myles Garrett, not on him.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
So that makes his job easier.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
$ 20 million free, right? Because they just gave him $ 20
million for a guy who hadn't played in three years.
I get his career. No one's trying to demean what
he's done career-wise, right? And then you're not even gonna
be a part of the team and go with the
team to Australia. You're going to take the easy way out.
(10:00):
I'm not taking no 14-hour flight there and 16-hour flight back.
He's playing three-card Monty with the Rams. It's all about him.
It sounds so selfish for a guy who's that great.
(10:21):
If you're on the team, be on the team. Pat
Riley said, and I always brought it. I said it
to my wife before she became my ex-wife.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Either you're in or you're out. I'm out. And she
said she was out. I'm just saying. If I'm Sean McVay.
Aaron Donald, are you in or are you out? What
is this?
Speaker 4 (10:53):
This chicanery is going to take place all year. Well,
it's only the Browns. I don't need to play this game.
I can take off.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
I don't need. What? Are you on the team?
Speaker 4 (11:05):
Even if you're not flying, team camaraderie, you haven't been
around for three years.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Everybody else, the ball boys, are flying to Australia.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
You can't make the flight with your teammates. You're not injured.
I don't care if they say you're not ready to play.
Sitting on a flight.
With a bed-like seat to go to Australia, you can't
be a part of the team.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I don't want a selfish guy like that on my team.
I'm sorry, Kelvin. I think this is a bad sign,
a bad situation. And you know what?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
He's worse than having LeBron James trying to hitch onto
your wagon.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
First of all, LeBron don't hitch onto wagons. He is
the reason the wagon did anything. Second of all, hello?
Let me go full ride. Is this thing on?
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Duh! You knew! Good and doggone well.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Listen, they paid that man $ 20 million.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
I think they fully know what's up with Aaron Donald.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
They know good and well where he is physically, where
he is mentally, and they knew there were going to
be some weeks they'd probably say, nah, don't practice this week. Nah,
don't come to this game. Or nah, sit this one out.
Or only play a few snaps. They know what they're doing.
They bought the big old mansion on the block. They
already had the mansion.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
It's beautiful. It's coveted. Everybody wants this amazing house. It's
got a rat in it. That's the problem.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
And then they said, we're going to add this amazing,
beautiful chandelier. And that's Aaron Donald. The house is already big.
The house is already nice. Everybody wants it. Everybody's talking
about it. That was the Rams pre-Aaron Donald. Then they
go get that nice chandelier that they spent a bunch
of millions of dollars on. You best believe we're going
to take our time to hang that up, right? You
best believe we're going to take our time to make
(12:47):
sure it is shining the way we need it to.
I'm going to hire the best movers because, dang it,
that's what they brought him in for. So I don't
need him. We've been complaining about this Australia trip for
months now. The last thing I need is a dude.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
Kevin, the last time you were here, you were saying
he was going to be in Australia and play 20 plays.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
That's what you said. Rob G sitting here is my witness.
I've been saying for months he's only going to start
week four through six.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
That's not what you said when I asked you if
he's going to Australia.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
That's literally what I said. I was shocked. I thought
he would be there week four or six. So nothing
about this is shocking to me. They don't need him
in a sense of a necessity right now. They're going
to let him become the best version of the Aaron
Donald of all they can. They're going to get close
to that, which will probably be like 75% of that.
which would be amazing. So this isn't shocking to me.
(13:33):
Nobody wants to, the Rams, Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers, nobody
wants to go over there, let alone the guy who's
been retired for three years. We'll pass on that. You
rest up, keep getting better, keep training. And when we
need you, we need you. He literally is the break
in case of emergency for them. He's going to start
rolling probably week two, week three, day... They came into
the season not expecting him. Then they were all of
(13:54):
a sudden added him. All right, 877-99 on Fox. I
don't even have to respond to this. I'm just telling you, Kelvin,
I get it. He's always a pacifier. Nobody cares. If
you're going to be on a team, I told you,
either you're in or you're out. And Aaron Donald has
already said he's out. He's not a part of the team.
(14:14):
He's his own man. He's going to do whatever he wants.
That's a selfish individual on a team. The whole Rams
are laughing at you right now.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
He can still go there and embrace his teammates without
playing and be there a part of the team.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
They are all professional. I think they'll say we're okay.
877-99 on Fox is the number. We're okay, Aaron.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
877-996-6369.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
We want to hear from you. Where are you from?
on this whole situation. Are you buying it?
Speaker 4 (14:43):
If Aaron Donald, is Aaron Donald showing himself to be
a selfish individual by not showing up in week one?
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Well, no, you're good with it. You're like Kelvin. Anything goes.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
We'll continue that conversation next with you. It is The
Odd Couple on a Trash Talking Tuesday, and I'm pushing back,
and I'm hot, and I'm bothered. Right here on Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
I don't want to be next to you if you're
hot and bothered. Stick and stay. Especially if you got
some Icy Hot for Rob Parker in the U.S. of A.
Get that man something. All right, check it out. Cal Sheet.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
College football's back, and there's no better place to trade
the action than Cal Sheet, America's number one prediction market platform.
Texas trading at 52% to.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Beat Ohio State.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
This should be a good one, meaning $ 100 trade pays
out $ 185.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
With the win.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
The Buckeyes are the number one team in the country,
but the Longhorns have the home field advantage, and... A
Heisman Trophy candidate at, of course, quarterback. So this could
be the matchup of the weekend.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
It should be.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
On Kalshi, you're trading against peers in a live market,
meaning there's no house. And as the probabilities change, you
can buy in and out of your position. So trade
the draft pick, the game, and more on Kalshi. Download
the Kalshi app. Use code ODD to get $ 20 when
you trade $ 20. That is code ODD to get $ 20
when you trade $ 20. Kalshi, K-A-L-S-H-I, Kalshi, trade on anything.
Speaker 7 (16:09):

877-99 on Fox. You told Aaron Donald to go home.
I thought you loved the Aarons.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
No, not if you're not going to be on the
team and take part with what everybody else is doing.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
I just can't. I can't do it.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Drew in New Jersey, you're on the Odd Couple Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Drew?
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Hey, Rob.
Speaker 7 (18:13):
That's interesting because one Aaron you're okay with, the other
Aaron you're not okay with. But the one Aaron hasn't
participated in anything in years.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Dude, no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
When did Aaron Rodgers not go to a regular season
game because he's healthy, he's not injured?
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Why can't you fly, Drew?
Speaker 7 (18:32):
Your argument is.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
All the way in, all the way out. Drew, why
can't you fly with your team, be with your teammates
for week one of the season?
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Why is he not going to Australia?
Speaker 7 (18:48):
I think it's an interesting case because he's been out.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
For three years.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
No, stop.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Stop, Drew. Drew, you're a phony. Get off the phone.
I'm not buying that. Come on, man. You know it.
I bought it. As a team. Stop it, Drew.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
Turn down the radio.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
That's right. Drew, keep your radio up, Drew. Drew is ridiculous. Drew,
until you say something crazy to me. But if you
agree with me, Drew, you can call back. But if
you agree, call back.
Speaker 6 (19:11):
877-99-ON-5.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
You can keep going. I can keep going, Drew. Rob G.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Will save your number so the caller ID says must answer.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
I'll send you a Magic City shirt.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Don't worry.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
I said that we got extras. I'm a medium. All
we have is double X sales, but it'll fit. Anybody
listen to what you're talking about. Drew, great point.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Everybody in the Rams organization knows Aaron Donald's going to
be on a special case-by-case instance, Rob.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
Everybody knows that. Do you buy into Pat Riley and
what he teaches? No, he let LeBron go because of
some chocolate chips. No, either you're in or you're out.
And Aaron Donald is out.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
It's obvious. Sean in Sacramento, you're in the odd couple,
Fox Sports.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Radio.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
What's up, Sean? Sean, talk some sense to Unk, please.
Speaker 5 (19:53):
Yo, my uncle from another mother.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Cuz I don't care.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
I'll be my brother behind the board. Real quick, man.
Scott need to rename his radio station Rob Sports Radio
because I wake up Rob on the radio. I go
to bed Rob on the radio. I get off work
Rob on the radio. Come on, man. I know that
overtime was well worth the wait.
Speaker 8 (20:11):
Yesterday, man.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Absolutely. Let's do it.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Hard as work, man. Hey, congrats on the J.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
Cole concert.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
I was supposed to go to the one in a sec.
They canceled it because one of his people died on tour.
Speaker 6 (20:22):
Oh, dang.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
But on this topic, Rob, the only thing you're wrong
about is nobody is worth than LeBron James as far.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
As bandwagon jumping.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
But I 100% agree with this man. Why didn't Aaron
Donald think about coming back last year? Why did he
wait until Myles Garrett signed the deal?
Speaker 6 (20:39):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
Is it that Padford, 105 years old, playing that first
game in Australia? Ain't Devontae Adams, 78 years.
Speaker 9 (20:46):
Old, playing that first game in Australia?
Speaker 5 (20:48):
There are no excuses, man. He's younger than both those guys.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Thank you.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
It's selfish.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
Sean, hang up on him.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
It's so ridiculous. I don't want to talk to Sean.
I don't even want to think about Sacramento. Sean, call
anytime you want.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
You got the hotline number. Nor Kings.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Don't the A's play in Sacramento? Sean knows what he's
talking about. Sean, don't call back anymore. No, Sean, you're excellent.
877-99 on Fox.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Here's the other Rams homer, Kevin from Culver City.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Here we go.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
And no, I'm not going to defy you.
Speaker 6 (21:21):
Yes, you are.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Go ahead, Kevin. All the time in advance. All the time, Ken. No,
not if he has to take a flight to Australia.
He's not.
Speaker 9 (21:30):
That's a great song. I was born, God bless all,
April 7, 1985. Welcome to the world.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
It's just so fitting.
Speaker 9 (21:37):
Kelvin, it was an odd couple party there because I
was at J. Cole last night by VIP with your
boy Ab Soul. Oh, dope. So I was going to
ask you if you were there. It was an amazing show.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Man, I should have posted something. You could have pulled up.
And with Ab too, man. Shout out to Carson's Ab.
Speaker 9 (21:52):
You have to tap in with me. Look, Rob, Uncle Rob, look,
I always say you're right, but this one, come on,
the Rams signed AD for three games, two in January
and one in February. He's not playing, and it's not
like they're going there a week in advance like the 49ers.
They're going out there right before the game. Why would
you have that man on that field?
Speaker 4 (22:11):
He can still go there and support his teammates. He
can support his teammates. He doesn't have to play, Kevin,
and you know it. Are you on the team or not?
Speaker 7 (22:20):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
You're going to show up whenever you want. I'm not
practicing this week. I'm not doing this. I'm not doing that.
You're not on the team. Pat Riley's right. Either you're
in or you're out. I sent my wife packing.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
She was out.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Wait, but did you send her packing or did she
choose it? Because you gave her the question. Sounded like
she said, I'm out.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
And I said, pack.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
But I think she already knew she had to pack
if you told her. By the way, you know their phones?
The one right there that always rings the odd couple?
They got FaceTime. I'm FaceTiming the team. Hey, y'all, what
y'all doing out there? Let me see the kangaroos and
have fun, y'all.
Speaker 6 (22:53):
Please.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Go see the Sydney Orchestra.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Instead of going on the flight to Australia, he's going
to go to his bank account and ask for all
singles and roll around for week one's pay.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
That's what he's going to do. He's going to call you, too. Hey, Rob,
I got all singles. You know what Monday is.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
So bad, man. So bad. Rob, you want to come?
Speaker 4 (23:09):
A great player like that who reduces himself to a sideshow.
He's a sideshow now, and now everybody's got to answer questions.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
He becomes a distraction.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Hey, would you rather Aaron Donald, shouldn't he have come
on the flight or been with the team?
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Are you surprised? That's what people are going to ask.
Not a single.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
No single Ram player cares about that, Rob. No, but
that's what's going to be asked. He's a distraction now.
You don't think Sean McVay is prepared for that? Instead
of talking about the season and going to Australia and
trying to win this game and starting this championship run,
the conversation is why this guy's not going.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Is it a conversation or is it just an update?
Aaron Donovan is not coming to Australia.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
You guys, you wanted to talk about Aaron Donovan.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
We just led an award-winning radio show as our lead,
all right?
Speaker 2 (23:58):
All right, let's go.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington. Weekdays at 7 p.m. Eastern,
4 p.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Steve, thank you.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Odd Couple, Rob and Kelvin on the Trash Talking Tuesday.
We're already trash talking each other, so you already know
what kind of show it's going to be. We got
Shop Talk coming up in a moment. So today is
the last one, and we'll find out how you did tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Is that what you're saying, Rob?
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yeah, there's one more, and then we got the football,
so we're going to reset it. Elijah's been on my
case for a couple weeks.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah, blame Elijah. Yeah, he's probably been, yeah. That's what
it is. I'm just saying. You're not a company man,
just doing whatever he has to do. Whatever Elijah says,
I'm just doing. I hear that. That's it. Speak of Elijah. Elijah, H-R-U,
I got to text you in a minute. Never heard
of him. Joining us now.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
As we do on Tuesdays, Ephraim Salam, former NFL offensive lineman,
Fox Sports Radio weekend host, and somebody who I think
might want to host and anchor more than you.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Ephraim, love to be on, man. Ephraim, what up, brother?
Speaker 6 (25:01):
What's up, brothers? Look, man, the people love for me
to be on, man. That's all it is.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
I'm just giving people what they want, man. Okay, the
phone's breaking up. We couldn't hear you. Relax. R-E-L-A-X. Relax. Well, man,
we're good. We're good.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Put a button on it. Aaron Donald not going to Australia.
Rob thinks he's the worst ever. He's worse than LeBron.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
He's worse than LeBron. I mean, Ephraim, he's showing up.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Here he comes with, all right, Miles Garrett's going to
take the load.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
I'm going to have an easier way to go. I'll
take the money. I don't have to practice.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
I don't have to fly all the way to Australia
with my teammates.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
And.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
All these other things that make it easy for him.
I just find it unbelievable that he won't support his teammates.
Him flying to Australia, not playing, but why can't he
fly with the team and be with his team?
Speaker 1 (25:54):
And I say, duh, we all knew this from the job.
He is going to have special rules, and they're A-OK
with it. That's why they're paying him 20 mil.
Speaker 6 (26:02):
Yeah, I look at it like this. Maybe if the
Rams would have left last week, Right? Like, I mean,
that's a tough trip. That's a tough two-day trip, right?
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Ephraim, is he on the team or he's not?
Speaker 6 (26:20):
Yeah, he's on the team. I get what you're saying, Rob.
I get what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
You know what I mean. You played. Come on, dude.
Speaker 6 (26:25):
Get on the plane. Come support the team. Now, on
one hand, I agree with you. On the other hand,
we have to also know that this isn't a normal situation. No,
I get it.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
I get it. And that's what bothers me.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
There will be special things. There will be special things
given and allowed for him to do, which I'm OK with.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Right.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
He's done his time. He's he's been he's one of
the greatest interior defensive linemen or any defensive lineman to
ever play, in my opinion, just watching his work. He's
earned that. Now, coming back out of retirement after two years,
there are going to be, you know, special things that
he can do and not do and traveling across the world,
(27:09):
not the country, across the world in two days with
a two-day turnaround. I wouldn't want to do that either.
I really wouldn't want to do that at all.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
I'm with Pat Riley.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Pat Riley famously said, either you're in or you're out, Ephraim.
And I believe in that, in that if everybody else
has to get on that plane and travel 14 hours nonstop.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Over all water... And we're a team.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
And the whole idea, even if he doesn't play, I'm
okay with that.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
I'm talking about being a part of the team.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
Of the team.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Yes, that's all I'm saying. I'm not saying he's got
to go and got to play. But, my God.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
All right, let's move on.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
I think Seattle is playing the Patriots. I got neither
one making the playoffs this year. I think both of
them were– The Flukes, the Patriots, obviously, the Patriots play
one team.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
They beat one team over 500.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Seattle will not be able to duplicate what they did defensively.
And Sam Darnold is not like he wasn't the greatest
quarterback last year.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
I just think that they won't be able to repeat that.
I got them both not making the playoffs. Where are you?
Speaker 6 (28:23):
Wow, that's crazy. Look, number one, I respect Sam Donald.
I respect Sam Donald for not only surviving being drafted
by the Jets.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
That sounds like a new Netflix documentary.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
Yes, surviving the Jets. That is a Netflix special. But
then on the path that he took to being back
at a starting quarterback, right, and along the way and
the steps he's taken, I have to commend him for that. Now,
in terms of Seattle defense, brother, that defense is real.
And even if they took a half a step back,
(28:59):
they're still going to be able to keep them in
games and give them an opportunity to win. You lose
Kenneth Walker, the Super Bowl MVP, but you replace him
with Price from Notre Dame. I think they'll be fine.
I think they will make the playoffs. And now on
the flip side of that, in terms of New England,
that is yet to be seen. I like Drake May.
(29:20):
I don't know what they're doing with their offensive line.
They struggled offensive line-wise. I know they've the one big
tackle down to guard to maybe stabilize that a little bit.
But the ease of their schedule last year is not
going to bode well for them this year because they're
not going to be able to sneak up on people.
People will be ready for them. And I'm okay with
(29:44):
that assessment of them not making the playoffs, but I
can't do both teams. I think Seattle still makes the
wild card.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Yeah, that's going to be a tough... I mean, just
their division alone is always difficult for sure.
Speaker 6 (29:54):
That's a gauntlet. They had all of the teams were above...
uh that winning records all of the teams would i
mean that's hard to do but that that division is
a gauntlet He is.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
E for Salaam, and it is a Trash Talking Tuesdays
with the iCouple, Rob and Kelvin.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Let me go here.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
When I'm looking at a team, like if you go
to the NFC, let's say the NFC East right now,
everybody we talked about a little bit, the Cowboys, some
people even have the Giants are saying they're going to
take this massive step. A lot of people say maybe
the Eagles are slept on. Where are you with the
NFC East? Is it the Cowboys easily to win, or
do the Eagles say, hey, we've been the best team
(30:33):
in the division for the last four or five years?
Speaker 6 (30:36):
Well, look, it pains me to say this sometimes because of,
you know, Cowboys fans. Not the team, the fans. But
when you look at what the Cowboys have done this
year in the offseason, in the draft, I think with
their offense intact and coming back and having one of
the top offenses in the league last year, now they've
(30:58):
gotten better on defense. I I'm almost hesitant to say
that I can see them winning that division and actually winning,
you know, a couple of playoff games.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
I know I'm sweating over there.
Speaker 6 (31:15):
You know, I am. I really am. But I really
do like my and the thing I like most about
the Cowboys. It's been a quiet offseason. How about that?
Speaker 2 (31:24):
People are actually concerned. So Jerry was right about getting
rid of Micah Parsons.
Speaker 6 (31:29):
It's been a quiet offseason.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Jerry was right.
Speaker 6 (31:33):
Every offseason is something, and that something bleeds into the season,
which bleeds into later in the year, which bleeds into
the playoffs if they make it. We haven't heard anything.
So just that alone, I'm like, oh, wow. Maybe they're
really serious about the product on the field and not
just the brand itself. And so, look, I– the question–
(31:56):
for me, is what does Washington look like? I think
that's the bigger question. I think Philly will be fine
if they lean heavily on the running game. I think
that offensive line will be a little bit better this year.
Not quite sure if Harbaugh is enough or Odell Beckham
is enough of an adult in the room for the
New York Giants and what they got going on. But
(32:17):
my question is, who do we see? What Jaden Daniels
do we see? Yeah. in Washington, and what are they
going to have to say in that division? I think
that's the more interesting, between them and the Cowboys, I
think that's the more interesting conversation to have.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Jay and Daniel better not be like C.J. Stroud. We
saw the one good year and they go down.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
I'm just saying. All right. Appreciate it as always, man.
Thank you. Thank you.
Speaker 6 (32:45):
Absolutely, brothers. Y'all stay safe, man.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
All right.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
No doubt. Alex, hit me with some... We have, oh, taps, taps, taps.
That wasn't a good example? That was bad. Shop Talk.
The last one. Not Shop Talk. Wait, why does it
say Shop Talk?
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
See? Calvin Washington is the Rob Parker of the iCouple.
He'll read whatever's in front of him.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
I'll read whatever is on here. TV themes on Thursday
on a Tuesday. Shekel City, the last one, according to Elijah.
How did Rob do? How will he do?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
And I'm Ron Burgundy. And I'm Ron Burgundy? Fox Sports TV? No, radio.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington. Weekdays at 7 p.m. Eastern,
4 p.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
This song was like on NBA 2K, like 10 Alex,
maybe 10, 11, 12, something like that.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
Rob G., why are all the ribeyes on sale? Have
you been in the supermarket lately?
Speaker 2 (33:59):
I've been out of town all weekend, Rob. Is this
the beef coming from somewhere else? Canadian beef? Hey, yo. No,
I'm saying, or is it coming from Venezuela? Where was
it supposed to be coming from?
Speaker 8 (34:10):
Oh, so it's from a Latino country. It must be cheaper.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Okay, Rob.
Speaker 8 (34:13):
Wow. Racist.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
That's got to be racist. He asked you specifically. He didn't, hey, guys,
have you all noticed at the grocery store? He said,
Rob G.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
What's up with y'all people selling cheap meats? And you'll
be liking the cheap meats, too. Rob G., we've been
talking about buying stuff in the grocery store. We do,
a lot. We have a lot of conversations about that.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
We do.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
We talk about buying stuff.
Speaker 6 (34:34):
Rob G.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Don't be buying groceries. Rob G. be ordering out. No,
Rob G. goes to Costco. He's into grocery shopping. Rob G.
keeps all that in the freezer.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
And he knows I'm looking for a deal always. I
got like a $ 23 steak.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Your chicken steak? Remember that was a good deal? Yeah,
the chicken steak.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
No, it wasn't chicken. No, it was chicken. They rang
it up as chicken. They marked it as chicken. That
was the one that was the filet. It was so good.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Oh, my God. So you got a freezer full of
steaks right now? Oh, God. Oh, God. It was delicious.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Oh, God.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
And I love it.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
It made me speak another language after I ate it.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
May y'all most steak. Shout out to Rouse. Is this
Vons or Rouse coming through for you? That was, I think, Rouse. Yeah. Yeah,
I'll take it. Are those your 17 Rouse bags over there? No,
I don't know who left those. It has to be you.
It might be Jason Smith. No, it has to be you.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Our couple on a Trash Talking Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
We are an hour away from- Or Monty left them.
Trash Talking. Racist. Now what? Wouldn't that be sexist?
Speaker 7 (35:34):
Sexist.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Racist. Wait, when did you get a sexist one?
Speaker 7 (35:37):
What?
Speaker 2 (35:38):
When you go to sex is new, right?
Speaker 3 (35:39):
I've had it.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Okay. I just use it for Rob this way. You
don't hear it.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
Okay. All right.
Speaker 1 (35:44):

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Welcome to Shekel City. The home base for Rob Parker's
daily picks against the spread.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
All right.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
All right, here it is.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
The Last Shekel City before the reset.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Michael, look at the reset. Elijah's been pushing for this
for a couple of weeks now. Shekel City. He was
talking about his record, Alex.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
It's been.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
Crazy.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
All right, here we go. Last night, one and two.
The record is 2-12 and 193. 2-12 and 193. Tonight, Yankees.
Best bet, minus two and a half. They're tied right now,
one and one with Colorado.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Did you see Aaron's back? We did. He struck out.
It's okay. It's okay.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
It's okay.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
It's only one at bat. He just needs a good steak.
He does. Cardinals, minus one and a half.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
They're in San Francisco taking on the Giants, and I
got the Reds plus one and a half.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
They're in Los Angeles taking on the Dodgers.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
So, again, Reds plus one and a half, Cardinals minus
one and a half, and the Yankees minus two and
a half. And remember, Kelvin, despite what Elijah says, I'm
not telling.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
You who to bet on. I'm telling you who I
bet on. All right. 212-193, Rob G. Did he make money?
Speaker 7 (37:24):
No.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
No.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
An emphatic no. Like a look at why would you
even ask me type of no. Did I lose money? No,
I didn't lose money. Yeah, he said you lost money. No.
Speaker 4 (37:33):
Because there's a couple bets that I would have bet
a big amount, and those are the ones that I won.
Speaker 7 (37:38):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
All right.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (37:40):
All right.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
But shout out to Elijah. We'll see what you do.
We'll see how you finish. You know what, man? Let's
finish strong. That's all that matters, too. I do want
to say this. We don't have time to do this topic,
do we?
Speaker 1 (37:49):
No, it's just the whole point of it was Aaron
Judge is back, and we were all worried that we
would just see the back of your head because you
wouldn't pay attention to us.
Speaker 7 (37:55):
No, no, no.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
It's all good. But I do want to say this.
The Star Trek 60th anniversary. I know I'm right. So
Aaron Judge, like I was saying, he's back. I'm geeked out.
I'm geeked out about it. Yeah, you know, the Yankees, man.
We might get Yankees-Dodgers again. I don't want to talk
about the Yankees. Whoa, whoa. Breaking news.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
Get Steve the Sanger. Rob Parker does not want to
talk about the Yankees.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
What is going on? You feeling all right? No, no, no.
It's such an iconic show. I can't believe it's 60
years ago. It's today.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
It's not like last week or the weekend. It's today,
the 60th anniversary. And William Shatner is still around, still
moving and shaking. And I saw a video of him talking.
I was like, wow, that's pretty incredible.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
See that hate from Rob G.? Rob G what? You
don't know Mr. William Shatner. I forgot y'all had beef.
It's one-sided, but now it's on-site.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
He had beef with William Shatner.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
He loves old people. He started it. You know why?
Just because William Shatner wouldn't beam him up. That's why.
Rob G wanted to get beamed up, and he wouldn't
do it. I want to know the writer who came
up with that. You know, like, you know, transport me up.
Do this up. And this guy says, no, beam me up, Scotty.
(39:12):
Beam me up. Acid was a heck of a drug.
