Speaker 1 (03:34):
Welcome in the crew. I was just saying, welcome back.
I hope you enjoyed the trip. And uh, I guess
we need you to go to Lions games more often now.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Nah. That had nothing to do with Man, but definitely
the trip to Detroit and to New York.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
I got to see family friends.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
That was really good.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
It was cold and everything, but it was it was
really awesome. And still there's a place a restaurant where
we ate on Sunday me and my buddy Ben and
another mentee. Ben and I went to high school together,
Ben bon Jovi. How about that. That's the last name
bon Jovi, Ben bon Jovi.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
This is in New York or Detroit, New York, Okay.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
And JayR is a mentee of mine from Texas. But anyway,
so we went out. It's fifty five dollars at this
restaurant called Legacy in the Mocracy Hotel in Times Square.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Fifty five dollars. All you can eat ribi. Wow. All
you can eat rabbi and the cook it whatever way
you want it.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
You start out with fourteen ounces, all right, put my hand,
you know, another seven ounces, another seven out until whatever
you want?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Whoa and fifty that's it in New York.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Can you believe that? So you get you just get
the ribbi and you get fries. That's the meal, you know,
and you can order other stuff that's what comes with it.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
That's a great deal.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
All you get. They had to they had to row
you out of there fifty five hours. All that problem.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
See first of all, fourteen ounces already is a lot.
Start you off with a lot.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
I start you with fourteen ounces.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
So of course you know after I said, Oh God,
how am I going to get out of it?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yes, it was unbelievable. It's someone your backpack. I gotta go.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
I wish I could traveled with some fuck here right now.
I wish I could have. You know, you can't take
any out. I should have put some in a Napple guard.
Next time, I'm gonna bring up a hefty bag of
zip lock back.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
To slip that in the bathroom. We go in the bathroom,
put that in there.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Yes, let's welcome in the odd couple of crew.

Speaker 4 (05:27):

Speaker 3 (05:39):

Speaker 6 (05:46):

Speaker 3 (05:47):

Speaker 5 (05:48):

Speaker 3 (05:54):

Speaker 7 (05:55):
Just in for Steve because he's you know, got the
Chargers game tonight. Oh Steve, but you know he's here
in spirit.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yes, I agree.

Speaker 7 (06:02):
You need to go to more Lions games. Uh No,
I was just up there with Thanksgiving for my mom. Yes,
my magice.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
I want you to I want you to know that
I went there for for twenty years.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Okay, focus, they focused.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
It's a new age line, alright.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
And Elijah is a social media guru, so we have
that and much more.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
All right, Rob G. Let's just get straight to the Chiefs.

Speaker 8 (06:23):
H And I'm saying we get straight to it, but
we eventually got to We got to it.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Don't stop, Rob Ge. I ain't seen a man in
a minute.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Hey, Rob Parker, see this is what it is now,
robb Gi getting comfy, just sitting here.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Want to hang out?

Speaker 6 (06:36):
You know?

Speaker 1 (06:37):
He said, the chair with you? You know, well we
swapped chairs. But see now, Robbie, I can't talk to
my man's Rob Parker.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
He's back, Rob G.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Now now you guys need me.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
Okay, now you need me?

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (06:50):
So the Kansas City Chiefs been in the Super Bowl
basically since Moby Dick was a guppy. It ain't looking
like they're gonna be back there this year. They fall
the six and seven on the season after losing last
night of the Houston Texans. They will now officially have
zero chance of winning the AFC West for the first
time in a decade, and their chances of making the
postseason are a blistering twelve percent. They'd have to win

(07:13):
out and need a thousand other things to break their
way just to make the playoffs. Right now, it's the
official end, the crumbling of Chiefs Kingdom.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
No doubt, and I want to go here.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
And I told you, Kelvin Washington. I told you a
couple listeners. I told you all you forty X players
who are analysts on television. I told you Patrick Mahomes
has not been the same guy for years now, and
people have continued to make excuses. Even last night, they're

(07:46):
still making excuses. Fourteen for thirty three, three interceptions, no touchdowns,
And you want to talk about.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Then you need a drafts all the drops.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
I thought when he got all of his player wide
receivers back, Kelvin, they were off and running. That's what
your contention was, that it was because he didn't have
his guys.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
All of his wide receivers are healthy and all playing.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
And guess what the last four games when they needed
him one touchdown and six interceptions. Why can't we acknowledge, Oh,
did you see Kelsey That wasn't a well thrown ball
that was thrown behind him? Wait, he would have if
he made that catch, it would have been a great catch.

(08:30):
I had the nerve to listen to Dan Orlowsky this
morning talk about he's the greatest player on the planet
since win. You mean the guy who didn't get one
first place MVP vote despite going fifteen to one as a.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Starter last year. Come on, you guys are living in
the past.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
The Chiefs haven't been good. I know they went to
the Super Bowl. I told you last year they were
lucky as sin, and it all caught up to him
this year. I don't want to hear any excuses about
Patrick Mahomes. He hasn't played well. Why can't we acknowledge that?
Why can't everybody else always excuses?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Oh, Andy, we went for it on fourth.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Down on the thirty one yard Oh, Chelsey hit the
ball hit him? Oh was she right? He dropped the
ball on fourth down? That's all I heard. Patrick Mahomes
didn't make every throw either. Did you watch the game?
Did you watch the highlights? He didn't make all the
throws and he hasn't been making the throws.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
This has been a process.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
That's why I said before the season that they wouldn't
make the playoffs, not based on because some hate. Where's
all the Chiefs Kingdom people who were on Twitter that
I was washed, I was a washed reporter and I'm
a hater and I'm just looking for clicks all those
guys when I tried to tell you, yeah, I'm sure

(10:04):
you can't find those guys today because they didn't want
to hear it.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
And I get it.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
When you get in the fandom, you can't look at
stuff fairly and honestly because you become jaded and you
think everything is everybody else's fault. The last thing for you, Kelvin,
the reason the Chiefs are going to the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Are you ready?

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Is Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Not the defense which is seventh best in the NFL,
not the receivers, not Andy Reid.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
It's Patrick Mahomes is to blame.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
He is the reason why the Chiefs are not gonna
make the playoffs. And go to YouTube and go see
the video. I said a couple of weeks ago that
same thing. The reason the Chiefs won't make the playoffs
will be because of Patrick Mahomes and the offense and
that's why they are where they are.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
The Chiefs are playing bad football. There's no way around it.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
They're playing bad football as an offensive unit. At times
they're playing that Being out coached, Andy Reid, probably for
the first time in his life, has to admit that
that he has not been he's been out coaching.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
He hasn't been coaching well.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Patrick Mahomes is missing passes that he normally makes. Patrick
Mahomes is forcing things. You got guys who are dropping
balls that normally don't. So this is they look bad
in totality. The defense withstanding, that might be the only
unit that for the most part of this whole season
has looked good.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
A couple of things. I don't agree with you on
Number one.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
I don't agree if you're saying this season, I'm with you.
But if you're saying including last year, I don't agree
with that. Last year, and obviously we talked about it
throughout the season. Last year, he was making those plays
that would get them to win.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
He was making those third down conversions.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Total, you get an MVP vote if he was making
a play that no, no, I'm using your words. Yeah,
if he made the plays that helped him win fifteen
go fifteen and one, Why did he not? Why did
he not get one first place MVP vote? Because you
won't be able to answer it because what you're saying

(12:17):
is illogical.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
That's first of all, its factual. That's I don't even
know why you brought that up. That's proved. I was
telling you this all last year. He was the highest
third down conversion by far last year and even half
of this season. So he makes the play the winning play,
that's not debatable. We're talking about last season. You asked
why didn't get an MVP vote because Lamar Jackson. You
remember I set up here and said it right sext

(12:39):
to you that he's the best player. Lamar Jackson and
Josh Allen were insane last year. So him being fifteen
to two and winging the Super Bowl, getting to Super
doesn't mean he had to be the MVP.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Him making third down conversions.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
They were limitedlessly in what I said, he made the
winning Listen to what I said.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
I'm talking about. So one vote, not just win the
I'm answering question and winning because the other guy, but.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
One vote because the other guys, including Joe Burrow.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
No, we're insane heat on him and watched him.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
They went they were fifteen and one in Mahomes' starts.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Because you just why just because I I thought it
was winning.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
You know you're asking and answer questions, okay, so that
if you could ask, let me answer. So like I said,
it's because he only made a handful of plays each game.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Lamar was making fifteen to twenty.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Josh Allen was making fifteen to twenty, Joe Burrows making
ten to fifteen a game. That's why he realized with
his defense kept him in games. Don't turn over too much,
stick around. I can make a player two, and that
is why those player two aren't working this year. Those
guys that make plays aside from him, it's not working
this year. So there's no they'll denying it and they

(13:53):
have to go to the drawing board and figure out
what's next. Andy Reid has to figure out what next,
the designing of the plays. Rick Mahomes has to go
to the drawing board and realize what I'm doing isn't working.
They absolutely have to look at house guys. They may
have to start Chris Jones has played really well yesterday.
Can we get some form? Can we trade? They're gonna
have to look at themselves and really make a hard

(14:14):
reset at some point. I don't agree that it's been
singularly Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
But can I give you some numbers? Can I give
you numbers? They got numbers.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Mahomes has a sixty eight point six passer rating on
deep passes that's third worst of the thirty six qualifiers,
ranked near the bottom for NFL on deep ball completions
thirty two percent more.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
And while he's.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
While being top three in deep ball attempts fifty five,
he's so he's thorn them a lot, he's just not
hitting them. And my point to you is you set
up here on this very radio show when you talked
about getting with Shei Rice back and worthy and that no,
and you proclaimed that he was gonna be the MVP
and they were gonna go to the super Bowl because

(15:00):
Patrick got his Mojoe and got his receivers back and
that is what was stopping him. So will you take
that back that it had nothing to do with that?
And that's about And so with Patrick Mahomes playing badly,
playing like absolutely well, I can't go trash.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
He is playing bad without a doubt. They are bad
as a team without a doubt. There's no denying their
record is what.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
They are.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Close games that they normally win, they haven't. They put
themselves in a hole yesterday. He's throwing some balls off.
They're not catching balls again, Andy Reid being freaked out
and doing stuff he doesn't normally do. They look bad
as a unit and this year is gonna be a
tough year for them to look in the mirror.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Absolutely, I thought they would bounce back.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
They had a good stretch where they were putting up
some points, then they went downhill the last three or
four weeks.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Without a doubt, I was wrong on that.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I have no problem admitting that they look bad as
a team this year and are getting it done, especially
rob to the point they're losing a good teams too.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
A seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
You want to get you in on on this eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Are
you surprised that Chiefs Kingdom has come crashing down? And
how much blame does Patrick Mahomes deserve in all of this?
Because I'm giving it all to them, all the smoke,
all the blame. He's the reasons why the Chiefs are
trash and aren't going to the playoffs. It's Patrick Mahomes singularly,

(16:23):
the same way we gave him all the praise when
they were winning and he was making the plays to
win the games. Remember that we used to give him
all the praise. I'm giving him all the blame one
hundred percent, not the defense, not the receivers, and not
Andy Reid. We'll continue that conversation next with you. It
is The Odd Couple eight seven ninety nine on Fox

(16:44):

Patrick Mahomes, let me down, Andy Reid, let me down.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
A whole squad let me down. Rob called it. Obviously
it's not over.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
They still got a like, I don't know, ten twelve
to fifteen percent chance. Butlvin, no, no, no, no, But
I'm just saying, technically they look they look bad. They're
gonna end up winning record, but not make it and
Patrick Mahomes has been underwhelming, considering he has most of
his weapons back as well. Rob says he's all the blame.

(18:39):
That's where I've disagreed. Took it too far from me.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
What do you say? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox Who we got?

Speaker 5 (18:44):
That's right?

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Call in and get your medicine on Patrick Mahomes. I've
been trying to give it to you for two years.
Come get it. Mike in Portland. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Mike, Rob Calvin, thank you, Boke.

Speaker 10 (19:00):
Hey, Yeah, I think it's I think it's spout on Rob.
You know the the no punch shootout, Josh Allen Division around.
Days are long long gone for Patrick Mahomes. He's a
great player, but that's a n atcher quarterback. If they're losing,
which they are. You know, I just look at the
last Super Bowl run where they won a Super Bowl.
They average fifteen points per game. Yeah, Now, a lot

(19:23):
of quarterbacks can get you seventeen points to win a
football game. That's what I got for you, guys.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Appreciate it. Love sh shaking, Mike.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
How about Sean in Sacramento. I know he's gonna jump
in you on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Sean?

Speaker 11 (19:38):
Yeah, my uncle, but another brother cousin kill me.

Speaker 12 (19:43):
My brother's by the board.

Speaker 11 (19:45):
Somebody called Chris Bruce Ars, somebody called Nick Wrong, somebody
called dan Orlovsky.

Speaker 12 (19:52):
Let him know.

Speaker 11 (19:53):
The Rob Parker press box now has a fifty location
because the pool Pool King now owns the chief kingdom
in Kansas City, ladies and gentlemen, all those cut scenes
and he's dialing something up. What kind of exotics? He
had nothing for that Teddy Houston offense all night last night?

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Ten points in.

Speaker 12 (20:14):
The fourth quarner, Are you kidding me?

Speaker 11 (20:16):
And all that talk about the return of Patrick Mahons.
Oh he's dialed in.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Don't you remember? Yep, that Kelvin was on it. Oh
you receivers. Now he's going to be MVP and get
to the super Bowl. That's what people were saying.

Speaker 11 (20:29):
Weapons, all those weapons that have no running game, all
that coach and they can't dial anything up against Houston.
And it's been like this all year up you called
it before the season started. Now everybody has to wear it.
Dial it up. Dial all your chief paters out there,
dial it up, because we celebrating. I don't see none
of these little fanboys in the chat now.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
They disappeared. They disappeared.

Speaker 11 (20:54):
Everybody on Instagram, everybody calling you to wash team up.
They all gotta wear it, and they all sitting in silence,
because how quiet is it right now in Kansas City?

Speaker 4 (21:03):
That's right that you can hear a mouse urinate on
a drop ribbone in downtown Kansas City.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Thanks Sean eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Let's go to Kansas City Jacks, who I'm sure is
going to defend Patrick Mahomes because that's what he does,
but I want to hear from him anyway.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
Rob Parker, thank you for taking my call, Sir, Yes, sir,
Kelvin Man, I'm on board with you. The whole team
let us down. So you know, we already know that
Rob dishes out a full dose of rhetoric with a
good helping of haterism. So it's not surprising that you

(21:43):
just act like this dude because they have had a
bad season. It's no good Like if you watch him
play yesterday, if you watch Roche Rochet dropped them.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Yeah, okay, all right, everybody. You know what, we could
go everywhere and talk about every quarterback and drop stop
it with the drops I gave you the other numbers.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Are these all drops?

Speaker 6 (22:05):
Offensive lineman?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Okay, I'm asking you. There were still plays that were open. Jackson,
he played well. Jacks he played well. That let me
ask you that he played well and he played well.
So Patrick played great, and they and the receivers were bad.

Speaker 6 (22:23):
Receiver in he.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Dropped three in the last four games.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
He has one touchdown and six interceptions. But it's all
the receivers, right, Is that what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Everybody, I'm asking you.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
I told you that from the beginning. Everybody does answer.
Made a bad decision.

Speaker 12 (22:41):
To go for it.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Uh, I don't know what he was doing with that.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Patrick Maholds is the greatest Queens of Gold.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I thought he was a goal I thought Pat was
a go let me shocks, jack appreciated drop.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Let me rob real quick for trading. I'm gonna throw
and we're gonna we got on this.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Second in the NFL, he's the second NFL passing yard
sec qb ar. He's fourth and touchdowns as well. So
the idea that he's horrible or he's.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
He hasn't beaten anybody.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
It's about who you who beating seven to nobody's nobody's question.
The idea that you act like he's been horrible in
the idea that you act like you didn't see those
several they gonna have a chance to tie the game?

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Which game if they don't drop it? Which games? The
last four games have been all important? Correct that they
try to make a push. Yes, and he has one
touchdown in the left four games. Okay, so you other numbers.
You told me that they were often running, and they
want to tell.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
You specifically has been adequate at times.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
I want to squeeze, just finish those games before we
get to USC christ uh, Kevin and Culver City real quick.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
You're on the couple of fox sportuaiting real quick all
the time.

Speaker 12 (23:51):
Hey, it's called a bad office survide. It's called Patrick
Mahomes making bad decisions. But it's all on him. This
has been a powerful football team off season, and those
receivers pop us voice. They look scared last time against
the Texans. That that's just defense. Looks it's ferocious the
way they were here, Kelsey, Kelsey, let Mahomes down on

(24:15):
that drop that caused that interception with Chelsea too.

Speaker 10 (24:18):
The Chiefs are not who.

Speaker 12 (24:20):
We thought they were. They have no running back, they
have no explosion and that GM Brett Bean and him
has never gotten Mahomes any help with weapons, and it's
caught up to them. And when you want to just
get rid of Tybee Hill and you don't want to
bring any explosion back, you don't want to trade for
Bose Hall or get the receiver that Jakobe Myers.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
This is what happened.

Speaker 12 (24:38):
They didn't get anybody at the trade deadline, and they're
paying for it. They didn't get Quinn Williams, and they
look old and they look slow, and the cheese are done.
They let their quarterback down. Mahomes, start voicing some help
for yourself because your your gym is never going to
bring it to you. Cross course down unacceptable.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
And Patrick Mahoon no blame. So as everybody bought Patrick.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 12 (25:01):
No, No for super Bowls?

Speaker 4 (25:03):
No, stop talking about. This isn't about a Lifetime Achievement award.
We're talking about this season. We're talking about now, we're
talking about the last four Stop with that. No one's
talking about his career we're talking about now, Calvin said
he was going to be the MVP this year.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
I don't want to hear that. Please stop it. Get
out of here, Kevin with that.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I tell you what, boy, they got a lot to
do with this offseason, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Man, all right, we got got a new quarter buck up.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
No, yeah, right, Ron, stop stop stop acting like he
is not still one of the best quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Ain't nobody listening to nut you're talking about You already
know that?

Speaker 6 (25:43):
All right?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Coming up, we got to talk about notre David, their
decisions that they may. We'll get that on the other
side of training, right house.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Out, Rob G. Of course we got the college football playoffs.
We got it all set up.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Notre Dame left out and they.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
Are not happy about it.

Speaker 8 (26:35):
Yeah, it's not just that they got left out. It's
that people are saying they got screwed. Here's the reason why.
For the last month or so, the College Footballlayoff Committee
does their TV show on ESPN every Tuesday night. We
talked about it, We've done a couple of segments on it.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
For the last month.

Speaker 8 (26:49):
Even though Notre Dame had lost to Miami head to head,
the Irish were consistently ranked ahead of the Hurricanes until
the final ranking, when, despite neither team playing on championship weekend,
Miami leapfrog Notre Dame. Notre Dame left out of the
platfall together. Flash forward the next day. Notre Dame was

(27:11):
so upset about what happened, they decided we're gonna take
our ball and go home.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Forget.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
We're not making it in the playoffs.

Speaker 8 (27:16):
We're not gonna participate in any bowl game because we're
not gonna give ESPN to satisfaction, nor the ratings of
getting our team on their network, Notre Dame passing on bowlseason.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Nor to Dame being petty.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Listen, do they absolutely have a claim to be in
this without a doubt?

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Can they be upset without a doubt?

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Can they look at, you know, some other teams and
maybe an Alabama team that has three losses and feel
like we should be in there? Absolutely? But my biggest
thing with this both robs is that every single team,
when you have a number, if it's four in this case, twelve,
there's always gonna be a thirteen to fourteen right who
feel like we should have been in it. Every year

(27:55):
there's gonna be a team on the outside looking at it,
could have been Notre Dame, could have been Alabama, could
have been ordered Miami, that's gonna feel like we should
be in And the idea then that you say, well, screwed,
We're not gonna be in.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
A ball game.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
And listen, ball games ain't what they used to be.
We know that, Rob. You remember a team, only a
couple teams are gonna make you to the National Championship.
But to play the Sugar Bowl was a big deal.
To play in the Rose Bull was a big deal,
The Tosito Bowl was a big deal.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Those days are long gone.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
But the idea that simply you would just have a
bad attitude, like, oh, it didn't go exactly how I want.
I don't like that part of it because to me,
there's no guarantee next year you got the same record,
be ten to two and be right in the same situation,
or you're Florida, or you're in Miami or Ohio and Michigan.
You could be any team sitting on the old Is
that the result that if it didn't go my way,

(28:42):
I'm not gonna participate. It didin't go the way we
liked it. Me and my boys are gonna take our
ball and go away. So I understand their frustration. But
every single year there's gonna be a team that feel
like they got screwed or hose or we got a
bad job. So that's the part I don't like, Rod
because we're gonna be here again. There's gonna be a
team that sits here and says we should have been
in every single year.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
The way we're doing it.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
When you have a group of people who sit around
and have coffee and a bag of chips and guat
and they figure out who best teams are. They're going
to make mistakes. So is this result now that will
just take our ball, that we'll just quit, that we'll
just pout. And I also wonder was this all every
college player on the team?

Speaker 6 (29:24):
Man?

Speaker 1 (29:24):
He would if some of them say, hey, bro, I
want to play, right, this is my last game.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
I'm a senior. I didn't know this was going to
be it, right. I thought we were gonna have a
chance to being a collge fotball playoff compete. Now it's over.
I'm not playing a bowl game.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Like you didn't know your your season was, career was
going to be over out the blue.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
That's another thing I don't like.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
If there were a handful of players, ten to fifteen
to twenty five players, seniors who wanted to play. So
this was just the last little nailing the coffin for
the amateurism, the idea of just playing to play, the
idea that bowl games matter, all that is gone and
we're simply and if it ain't my way, don't like it.
I don't want to compete, I don't want to play.

(30:02):
And that's just where we are right now.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
I'm the pooh pooh king, and I'm gonna endorse the
petty king. I'm fine with where Notre Dame is being
petty because they are a big draw. It doesn't make
sense to what happened to them. It's different Rob g
talked about it. It's different if the uh there was
some change because the team they were competing against won

(30:27):
the championship or one did something that changed everything. What changed?
Nothing changed? So so this like is a big time slight.
You would have to be able to honestly explain why
Miami all of a sudden jumped over you when they
hadn't been all year. It doesn't It didn't make sense.
They both didn't play right, So what what? What changed?

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Can I tell you what the what the prevailing thought is?
The prevailing thought is teams. People who are part of
the committees, are people who are you know, football is
their thing. They all kind of start to really look
back at a couple of things. They look back at
the head to have more and say, oh, they were
actually more dominant Miami during them.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
You look at the team who's been playing, should have
been going all year.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
That.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
I don't disagreement. I went you on that and why
why did you miss that year? Definite disagree with that.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
That don't make any sense.

day Dix against the spread?

Speaker 11 (32:46):
Did I knew that?

Speaker 3 (32:52):
What the me is?

Speaker 5 (32:53):
I'm so honest.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Now the last time I made a pick was three,
four or five days ago, and I'm still gonna tell
you that I was owing three the last time I
made picks on Checkle City because I'm a man of integuity.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
What are you honest? Airsty?

Speaker 5 (33:07):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Do you hear yourself on the radio every day?

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Rob?

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (33:11):
I do?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Stop it?

Speaker 5 (33:13):
So I was owing three, which takes me to ninety
and eighty two.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
And here we go tonight we'll do a little Checko.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
City, all right, Rob? This makes me feel better. Kelvin
went one in four in the Pigskin, so oh.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
I'm not surprised, mind your business anybody else, Kelvin, Like,
I don't even know how you did as well as
you did last year when it comes to football, Like you.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
Know they said that you got a hand in poker.
Kelvin has a foot when it comes to football.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Let me tell you something he doesn't have to.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Hey, hey, Elijah, hr you because best believe I'm about
to hit a hard reset. Rob, I'm hitting the hart reset.
It's coming up soon, said, I can't hear you, right,
do you say we reset? And that started the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Bet it up? We ain't bet it up. I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
And Elijah, Elijah one hrr you because he didn't have anything,
because you said the Chiefs get it back. No, still,
I got to stick. You still lined up.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
So we got a.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Couple coming up in the show. So I want you
to know we got a couple coming up.

Speaker 5 (34:13):
My buddy Divine was the biggest Kansas City mahomes guy.
I got a pair of Jordan's on them not making
the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Now listen, they still got a fifteen per I just said,
I got a You know this is unlike you.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
I got officially say I want to bet. I said
I have a bet on it. I didn't say one yet,
I said I have them.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
I said I have one on you. All right?

Speaker 4 (34:35):
What you got Nick's minus four and a half through
in Toronto.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
That's my best bet.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
Okay, see, I'm gonna take the Suns plus fifteen and
a half. They lose, but the fifteen and a half
is ridiculous. And I'm gonna take the Spurs plus four
and a half. They take on the Lakers here in
Los Angeles. So again, Spurs plus four and a half.
I got Sons plus fifteen and a half and the
Knicks minus four and a half. And remember, I'm not
telling you who the bett on ah haul, I'm telling

(35:03):
you who I better.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
All right, we got Monday night football.

Speaker 5 (35:07):
We should say real quickly to Notre Dame.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
Yeah right, Rob Genis and Folda, I give you correct, yes,
and it is Notre Dame. They have a contractual agreement
that if Notre Dame is top twelve next year, they
automatically make the playoffs, so there's no need to join
the conference. That that was a part of it, Rob
gen right, for the sixteen to agree to the sixteen

(35:31):
teams in the playoffs that if their top twelve they
automatically get a bid.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
So they okay, yeah, that makes sense nothing, yeah, ell yeah,
and you're still to your advantage.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Monday night. We got a couple of teams.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Rob Are who are good on the record case but
have been kind of struggling lately. Got the Eagles of
course in town here in Los Angeles taking on the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
The Eagles be come out here.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
This is one of those things where's it has been
when they try to pass the ball, they don't score.
When they don't, they might win. It be ugly and
everybody can play. So they're in a weird peculiar place.
And then the Chargers again are sitting there eight and four,
but their own division obviously, you got the the Chiefs
have been the big talk of the division. You got
the Broncos who are running away with this, so a
lot is going to be on them as well. Uh,

(36:17):
they are five and two at home, so we'll see
how you know this all works out for them.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
Need to win.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
They need to win, right right, Yeah, they need a
big win. You need to win.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
They need to win. They need to win more so
than even the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
They really the.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Eagles need a win for sure from a literal standpoint,
as far as it's you know, just keeping up in
the standings where they'll be and also morales. So we'll
keep you updated on Monday night, football is that kicks
off here very very shortly. We'll let you know how
that goes. All right, we got to talk about another
team who was once number one in the NFC.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Next we'll tell you
