Speaker 1 (02:10):
All right, we got Patrick the lamb right now. Robbie,
what's up, brother? What's up?

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Man?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I'm doing good?

Speaker 5 (02:15):
And shout out to Patrick. Were stepping up like a
big dog because he was also at Disneyland last night.
Uh huh, and he did two pros the day before,
so he's been up for my thirty six straight hours.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Not stop? Patrick? Does your age start with the two? Still? Nope? Fine?
All right, Now I'll give you a little more credit.
I just I just passed that threshold last year because.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
This year, Yeah, anybody in their twenties, I have no
sympathy or anything like man up or one man up,
as I tell my daughters, one man up, because in
the twenties, that's what you're supposed to be doing, doing
the ground.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
All right. So I'll give you a little bit.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
By the way, I saw a couple of people here
from from you know, here, did I say? Or just
the larger high heart now necessarily just here. So I
saw a couple people there, I thought I would run
into you. We got there a little bit later than
you Elijah, did you go?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Thumbs up?

Speaker 4 (02:55):
If you went to Disneyland? Elijah, did you go? I
was a live How was he ignoring? He's looking at
me on YouTube? How's that even possible? Don't forget you
can't watch us on YouTube with Simon kasson the show
on YouTube right now?

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Check it out.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
All you gotta do search O A couple fs R
welcome in the crew. I just mentioned some of them.
We got Elijah. He is, of course our social guru.
He'll keep us everything looking fresh on YouTube. Never heard
of him.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Sam.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
We have, of course, as I just mentioned Patrick, And
for Rob g Producing, we have half Patrick.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Of Patrick.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Don't do that, Sam, because his mom is always watching
and listening. And I need my chocolate chip cookie.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
You're not getting no cookies no more, Samlijah.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
She makes the best. They're white chocolate and regular chocolate
put together. I told her she makes the United Nations rookies.
She's ending racism with her cookies alone. We got Iowa, Sam,
wasn't that right now? And for Alex, I'm here so
I won't get fine.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I have no idea where Alex is. No one knows
he'll be here. He'll be here, he'll be by the way.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Unrelated to Thisyland, I think they had the iHeart Company
party yesterday.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Which yes, I know none of us went to. I went.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Sam was there and if you look on social media,
there's photographic evidence of Sam in the parking lot holding
spots for the rest of his show.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
But here's the thing legend that sounds Sam of saying
that is like that? Isn't a shocked? If this were Jeopardy,
I would have said who is Sam? Like? I would
have got it like that?

Speaker 4 (04:13):
And of course prov g in all right and all
of course on the updates, we have Steve the Seger.
He'll keep us something and everything happening, and including some
of the news you just mentioned too. Some of these
quarterbacks who've been nicked up and injured are back, Jaydon Daniels.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
We heard Lamar is gonna start. So Steve getting us
the update there of some of the stuff that you
and I will talk about. Let's go here.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Lakers by the way, My gosh, it's funny because we
as the media as a whole talk about the Lakers.
You know, all the Ron is or Luca that, or
is Luca gonna lose? Witer can't believe Dallas gave Luca
the you know, like the Lakers are playing very well
and our second in the West very well, and like
that's not really a conversation right now, just because we're

(04:53):
still in the middle of football towards you know, there's
a lot of other things happening in college. You can
beat me to it yet, so there's a lot of
we had a great World Series and stretch. So it's
kind of like the Lakers being one of the best
scenes in the NBA. Uh is one of those stories
that everybody's hidden, but they get a good one on
Lebronto I mean Toronto.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
They go there and they're on their three year, three
game road street, but they end up getting a big
time win. Ruy hachimor hits the buzzer beater. Lebron said,
some up, great shot, great win. By the way, this
the c story might be coming out of this is
what we gotta talk abou Austin Reeves going current.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Laker to reach hashtag future Laker status. You never see that.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Let me think about that, right, was Kobe not?

Speaker 5 (05:38):
I mean because he sort of kind of Okay, it's
not often that it happens.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Usually that's that's yeah exactly, Luca.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
Yeah, Chris Paul here, Edwards, nobody, somebody.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Well yeah, so we'll get to him in a minute.
But the big story coming out of that the number
was one and ninety seven. If you say, what's that number?
That is the consecutives Lebron has scored in double digits
ten plus points, and just a game or two ago,
Rob was sitting here and we were talking about it.
Lebron hit the three, getting blown out by like thirty,
stays in enough to hit the three to get the

(06:12):
double digit points, and then he throws new stat pad. Fuck, yeah,
this is one of those stat pathfs. And I said, then,
Rob g, no one cares about that stat, right. There
are certain stats that I even said, I don't mind legends,
people who have earned it, sticking around, staying in the
game to earn those types of big stats. What I
meant was give you example. I said, if you know
Steph Curry, they look up in a game, they're either

(06:34):
blowing a team out or be getting blown out. But
if Steve Kurr would be like, hey man, the the
all time record thirteen. You're sitting on thirteen, one more three,
you got the record I'm all right, cause that is
a big record.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Most three is in the game. Steph Curry's an all
time great.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
She was like, all right, cool, no one knows double
digit you know, points in a game, Like, no one
actually knows that record, and no one uses that in argument,
you know, like.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Man Lebron has the most consecutive ten points. He's like,
what knowing?

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Like you think of Cobe ever come up in a debate,
you think of Michael Jordan's the greatest scorer of all time,
him and Kareem and you don't know either of their
stats and that that particular you know number in that
stack that category. So Lebron keeping track of that. And
after the game, Lebron, they asked him about it. Here's
what he had to say, Now that the street has
died for you, What feelings did you have any what
the follers you did?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
None? We won, stopping Lebron. Stop it. I just mentioned
Ron g did I not mention just a couple of
games ago.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
He hit a three to get the record, Like, don't
play with us, Lebron. I understand the win, and I
do believe the win ultimately matter. Do that, but let's
not act like the stat is insignificant when you just
countered that point by hitting the three in a blow lost.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Mind you not a win.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Nigga goes like, hey, at least wor up we earned
me to say in a loss you stayed and hit
the three. This is one of the thing where areas
where of course people get they drive Lebron drives him crazy,
the passive aggressive, none, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Probably know it matters.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
Now.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
I know he can't say that politically correct. He's got
to answer the question.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
But that's absolutely a stat that he had because I
believe rob Gen for those who will never put him
ass he's better than Jordan, He's just accumulating feathers in
his cap. Sure, all time lead scorer. I thought Jordan's
better scorer. You always say Kobe is a better score.
I am not have that stat, and I'm a past
first guy obviously, rings Okay, I have more than him.

(08:20):
Him him, I might not have more than him, but hey,
look at these finals appearances. Hey, look at this. Lebron's
gonna have assist stats that he's just I believe he said,
I'm gonna accumulate so many things, including even playing with
my son. Sure that these are things that he can
add to his feather caps, so his war chests. At
the end of his career, he can say, yeah, he
might have more of that those six rings, or he
might have five Kobe or whomever you're you know, Kareem

(08:41):
has five, look at what I have, So I absolutely
believe or six for Kareem. I absolutely believe those things
matter to him. But I will say it was very
Lebron liked that if he was gonna lose the streak,
to lose it in that way, like making the play
that you either love.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Him for or hate him for.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Why would you pay to the Kyle Kover in the
corner for three in the NBA Finals. You're Lebron, you
gotta shoot that other half. That's the right play. Kyle Kolver,
one of the greatest shooters ever, is open, wide open,
wide open. So that is so the Lebron. You know,
Jux suppose ideologies. You know, he either too passive or
not aggressive enough, or he's making the right play. But
I thought the poetic justice of that is how he

(09:21):
would end that trick that he did care about us.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
He did on that he was totally insulting our intelligence.
That's why I don't like about Lebron sometimes I mean
Lebron as a whole. In general.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
I think he's a really good guy.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
I think he's a great basketball player, and there's a
lot of things about him that I do appreciate. One
thing I'll never understand, aside from the passive aggressive tweets
in the social media when he's upset with his team,
like that's a different conversation, is his insistence on lying
about things that are so easily disproving. This is now
in the top three. Okay, Number one for me is

(09:52):
always gonna be. Well, you know, when I was watching
the Nice Coaches for eighty one, I told my friends
he's gonna score eighty that night.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
No, you didn't know.

Speaker 5 (09:59):
You did not, And that's the dumb thing to have
to lie about. I don't know why you are live
at number two. This is one is probably my man
showed up to multiple post game press conferences with the
Godfather book on the first page right there.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
That was my favorite book. You know I read it
all the time.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
Well, what's something you took about or what's your favorite
part of the book? And he could not name a
sing We know you didn't read it, like like why
why would you go out of your way.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
To set yourself up for that kind of thing.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
And now this one Monday, we just saw you stay
in a blowout game and get up like I think
three shots. He made two of them to make sure
he got to ten points and immediately subbed himself out.
Coach Ronnie, I want to do the DAP up with
him because it's gonna look cool for the social media
when they say I got the points and then I left.
We just saw you do that, like there's camera, there's

(10:48):
video evidence of this happening. And then for you to
say last night after the game, which was a great
win for them down Luca Dons on the road and
they did not play well at all on Monday, so
for them to bounce back was big, and for you
to say with the straight.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Face, not it, I didn't care.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
You know, we want when what you could have said,
which was the gods on is true, that nobody would
have faulted you for saying this is Yeah, it was
a cool record to have and I really enjoyed it,
like it's something that's, you know, a feather in my cap.
But in the grand scheme of things, us getting to
win is more important, So you know, it would have
been nice to continue the record, but I'm glad that
if it's gonna end, it's gonna end with us winning
the game. And nope, like, hey, that's an honest answer,

(11:26):
like he admitted, like it was. The record did mean
something because we just saw men something to you and
it didn't. Everything's meant to be broken. It's not gonna
last forever. But you got to win. That's the end
of the story. But because you had to go and
lie about it, now we got to talk about it
again sixteen hours later.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
It's just crazy to me.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Well, a couple of things. One thing you can say
about Lebron. Some people will say he's past. He could
be passive, aggressive some people so I don't like him.
He's a little floppy flops, so he's a One thing
you can't say is he is not a student of
the game and very aware of everything. So I said
that to say he's very aware of numbers, he's very
aware of the legacy things and stats, and he's hyper aware.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
And even in game, if you watch enough Laker games,
you'll see when he gets subbed out of games almost immediately, someone.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Will had him a piece of paper he's looking.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
It's the box score, so he knows these are my stats,
this is what this guy shooting, this is what we're
not doing well, all right, So when I get back
into the game, I know I'm not going to pass
this guy because he's cold, this guy's hot, or hey,
if I can get to the rim.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
You know they're calling exactly. You know, he's hyper aware.
And I mean that in a complimentary way. Of the
reason I'll say that is that's not meant to be
a direct director. While while we can, yes, he's fully
aware of the stats and we know that he was
come on that.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
You know.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
I don't even use the word cap because I don't
like it. I feel like, what does it even mean?
I get it, but they call him the cap. But
if that was a cap example. But I'll say this.
The reason I brought up that he's fully aware of
records and stats and this, and that I use it
as a compliment because sometimes you know, you'll see this
on social teams will be coming in a lot of
young players the social media there the other teams, Elijah's
will be holding up a picture of somebody we the

(12:59):
viewer will see it and say who's this and the player,
oh no, and it'll be like Gary Payton or something.
And if you look at hip hop, you know, oh
you're a rapper. But who is this? And it's supposed
to be somebody run DMC, someone they should absolutely know,
just as a student of your particular game and or craft.
I've always wanted to give love. Look to Lebron and
that he Kobe certain guys. They made sure they pay homage,

(13:21):
they make sure they're aware, they know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
So I do like that about them.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
But you know what I was thinking about too, now
that we and you and kind of you know, jabbing
him about this stat the one good thing and a
serious note, I think from this and this is applicable
to certain things in life for all of us. I
think the burden of it, like he made it a thing.
You've made things in your life. I've made things. Let's
say it's that you've never not made your daughter's lunch,

(13:45):
or you've never you know, I left dress school one
time about that. But you know, we all have our stats.
You know, I've never showed up to work late. I've
never my wife has never had you know, change your gas.
I meet her at the gas.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Whatever it is.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
You build these things up, you put and then it
becomes you know what, it becomes where everyone else gonna do.
It's not a big deal, you know, for you, it
becomes a thing. It's a thing, it's part of your head.
As much as I don't think this scoring title or
the scoring you know, double digits record was.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
A big deal, I don't think you.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
I don't think anybody's gonna really care that he always known,
Like we'll talk about after they have fun with.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
It and move on. One course, I will say, I
think it's alleviated.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
That's that little bit of a thing on his brain
that now he might have started having fun in a
good way. What I mean is ro g if he's
got six points, but Luca's rolling well tonight, I might
go six points, eighteen rebounds, twenty as sists.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Sure, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I don't have to keep that in the back of
my head, like, oh man, I gotta get this, I
gotta get scored. Ten is let me look at the scoreboard. Okay,
how much time we got left? Like now I think
he can start having fun with another one? How many
how many games can I go? You know this season
with double digit asists? How many can I go games
with ten at least ten plus rebounds?

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Ten plus exists?

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Like I think now freez him of not having to
worry about that, because I think it was very, very
very much in the back of his brain. But it
was there because it's so easy for him to score
that I think he rarely had to look up and
so wanted to get a couple of shots up. But
I think now it frees him to see, you know, hey,
can I start something else? Can I just have can
I do something crazy?

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Now? Have zero points? But twenty moore twenty sists.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Now I would agree with you, except that he did
say in the post game that don't expect this to
be a common thing where I'm not scoring ten points,
So they maybe that right.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
He scores ten points on accident because put back, yeah,
fast couple of fast break. But I'm just saying, Sam,
he's also one of those people who can I can
see him thinking at least and this is something that's
you know. Lebron of course is like the the biggest
example of it. But great players, especially in the NBA,
are so great that they have to find new, unique

(15:38):
ways to challenge his hous on Nights Night basis and
being a Laker fan. I don't know if you were
here at the time this happened, but there's always been
a narrative, Hey, Kobe doesn't pass the ball.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
He never passed the Bam, he never passed the ball. Phoenix,
So he decided, yeah, exactly, Rob will never forget that one.
But there was a time where it becomes such a
large ground swall who He's like, you know what, I'm
going to get double digit desists and he did for
a week straight. No problem, did not affect they still
win the games. He'd still get it. Instead of getting thirty,
he was getting twenty six. But if he wanted to,

(16:07):
he could absolutely get douleed you desists every game. Lebron
is one of those guys where if he wanted you
to your point, you know what, maybe instead of going
after the ten, I could get eight points, twelve and
twelve pretty regularly if I wanted to. And if maybe
this is gonna give him a new challenge to go
after and rejuvenate him, because he quite honestly has gotten
to a really slow start, and if he can find

(16:28):
something else to motivate and moving forward, this will get
him through the dog days of the NBA season.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Last point for me, he's gonna be the best version
of Jason Kidd with the Mavericks.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
I would love to see that. That's gonna to me.
I think this opens it up where he's like, Man,
I'm gonna let Austin.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
He's been doing that. To his credit, he's not been
forcing things for the most part. He's almost been overly passive.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
So I think he's gonna be the better version of
a Jason Kid with the Dallas Mavericks. All right, Speaking
of Dallas, they lose to the Lions and also did
something else get lost because of it? We'll tell you

like the initial man.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
The mayor, the odd mane for sure.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
You know how self conscious I am about that. I
cut my own hair and on the YouTube apparently he
says it's looking crispy af Well.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Hold on, this is breaking news to me. I didn't
know that you were you. I think your hair, eyes
looks great.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yeah, but you know that I cut it myself, and
I'm always yeah, it's always little bit yanky here because
you know I can't reach it.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Blah blah blah. So for someone on YouTube who doesn't
know that.

Speaker 5 (18:42):
Statement, now your haircut looks great, and I'm like, oh,
you know it made me feel ten ft tall at
least five nine you should yeah, look, let me see
if you show your legs ain't swinging right now?

Speaker 4 (18:51):
It feels good to finally be tall or somebody you know,
Rob is sneaky tall. For those who don't know Rob Parker,
because you know I'm averag, I'm pretty, you know whatever,
Just nobody you don't think twice about my height one
way or the other. But then Rob over here in
the sneaky six four or whatever it is. Yeah, no here,
cut's always some point I tell you that, man, you'd
be doing your thing all right. So again YouTube check
it out. If you don't know odd couple FSR. So
all you got to do, search there, thumbs up, like

(19:13):
share all that good stuff.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Maybe we'll have since you on this side.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Maybe Patrick read some of the comments a little bit
later on throughout the show will sprinkle some of those
in throughout the odd mob shout out to you all.
All right, So again the Lions pulled off a big
win that they needed to have against the Cowboys and
Cowboys who have been surging. They had three really really
good wins, at least especially on paper. As far as
the teams that they beat, a couple of them being

(19:37):
the Eagles, the Chiefs. Those are obviously Super Bowl, you know,
participants of last season, so they get that win. But
Martin Weiss was on yesterday and one of the things
we talked about was the dark Horse.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Even Rob Parker and I have talked about it. We
talked about it on Monday.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Yep, dark Horse race, you know, because I believe Stafford's
gonna win it. Rob doesn't believe anybody is gonna win it,
even though somebody has to win it. And I was like, well,
who's gonna win it? He was just thinking about it,
and he finds He's like, oh, well, you know, DA's
a dark hoross. I said, yes, absolutely, and a lot
of the numbers, you know, hey, he was doing good.
He's the team surgeon. He's starting to they have a
playoff chance, and you're going, all right, yeah, DK. The

(20:13):
thing we acknowledge yesterday was well, he's fit in a
position where I said, Rob g he's like Joe Burrow
in that he's gonna have to be ten and seven
to have a real shot. I don't believe you can
win the MVP and be nine and eight. I don't
think you can be you know, eight, eight and one,
which is a possibility because they have that tie the Cowboys.

(20:33):
I think you have to be plus five hundred and
significantly like eleven and six type numbers a win loss record,
and Dak couldn't lose and he couldn't have a game
where eh and he played well for three hundred fifty
yards think it was like three sixty. He had a
cup seat, a touchdown, but he was sacked quite a bit.
He had a couple of interceptions. One at the end
went really his fault, but he had a couple of
interceptions and they just did and they didn't produce it

(20:55):
that first half three field goals, nine points and you
just can't do that against the Lions at home.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
They were rolling.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
So his candidacy is pretty much over. But the larger
thing takeaway for me was similarly to Russell Westbrook in
the NBA when he was doing the whole like people
were saying, well, yeah, he's doing a triple double, but
his team is like seventh in the West. You just
can't have that subpar in middle type of record in
the NFL. I mean, I don't care if you're doing

(21:22):
some Lamar Jackson Josh Allen type numbers Joe Burrow last year.
The NFL is just not gonna do that because there's
gonna be some quarterback or two who have similar numbers,
maybe even slightly less. But their team went twelve and five,
thirteen and four, you know, fifteen and two, and so
Dak had a way outside chance. He would have had
to do something prolific and they would have had to

(21:43):
go to a run essentially never losing again or maybe
one game for an ever legitimate chance.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
It just kind of shows how fickle the MVP race
has been this season, which is surprising considering what Matthew
Stafford do statistically, like just numbers wise, you would think
you would think it's a runaway, right, But we talked
about it on Monday after the Monday night game with
the Patriots. The top three in order for favorites, Drake
may number one, Matthew Stafford number two, Dak Prescott number three,

(22:12):
and again Dak didn't play horribly, so for him to
be a top three MVP candidate, lose a game against
a very good opponent who was also just as desperate
as they were, and for him to fall out, in
our opinion, out of the MVP race completely says a
lot about the state of the NFL right now that
there's really no separation between even though I think it's

(22:34):
Stafford one in five where it's like, hey, week to
week game the game. If Matthew Stafford has another three
turnover game, suddenly from being the heavy favorite, he falls
down to second. Drake May, who has been very very good,
but I wouldn't say he's been Oh my gosh, look
at the number. To see that Drake Mays having to
be steadily either two or one two or one two

(22:55):
or one. It's like, what would Dak had to do
realistically for this not to happen. He would have had
to have went out basically this way.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
They would have had to have went out because two
cause he would have also had two things, rob g.
He would have had the numbers and the storyline. Here's
a team we'd said for dead. They got rid of Micah.
This team's a rap. They start off the season slow,
they even had a tie, and now they've run off
at say ultimately would have been six seven, eight nine
straight and gotten a posts, a division threatened for the division.
The Eagles of all teams, we didn't think they would.
You be struggling, that would be a storyline. Plus numbers

(23:26):
there you have a chance for a real chance for it.
Now six six and one the definition of mid right,
maybe even midlight with that one.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Like, I don't, I don't.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
It's just an impossibility even if they go on to tear,
because I don't expect mac to Stafford to lose more
than another what two games, maybe max maybe one beating
the Lions. No God, And so I just think, and
I don't see his numbers. Well, Rob thinks he's gonna have,
you know, more stinkers. I don't see him having a
terrible outing like he just had. The first three passes,
two of them are interceptions, So I don't see that

(23:57):
happening enough for him to lose it. The Drake may
one is interesting. I think people might slight him for
the opponents. The Patriots haven't really played many people and
if it comes, you know, I've got that nitpick between
him and Matthew Stafford at the end.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
And it had numbers like last season, yea, Lamar and
Josh Allen. If you're looking at numbers, it wasn't even
close that Lamar jacks should be the MVP. Josh Allen, though,
had the narrative that it's hey, Josh Allen doing this
all by himself. He's the guy. It's him and he's
the only reason why they're even competitive. And he had
a couple of MVP moments, that one where he has
to cooper it came back to him and he catches

(24:32):
his own touchdown basically, and then the one diving through
the air in the snow like those were moments, and
so it was the storyline versustistics. Matthew Stafford has all
his diistics. But Drake made the idea like, hey, the
Patriots worse the first they are the darlings of the
NFL right now, they could be number one in the
AFC in a conference that features Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow,

(24:52):
Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen. How could he not be the MVP.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
The answer, before we get the training, I'll just say this.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
I think the store Jory line will be your favorite
quarterback's favorite quarterback finally gets his chance. That's a good
one too, That's what I think it'll be, all right.
The other side of that was the Lion's getting to win.
But is there something that could be holding them back
from a Super Bowl run. We'll tell you what that
is next, STEVEA. Sager, get a set on what's trending.

Speaker 7 (25:15):
Let's start with the NFL news is Ravens quarterback Lamar
Jackson will play Sunday against the Steelers. He returned to
full practice today after an ankle injury. Washington quarterback Jaden
Daniels will return to start Sunday at Minnesota after a
dislocated elbow. He missed three games. Washington's lost seventh straight.
Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy will start after clearing concussion protocol.

(25:36):
Minnesota running back Aaron Jones has no injury designation after
his shoulder injury. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is out for
the year with his foot injury. He's been on injury
reserve for a month. Arizona is missing two running backs
and two wide receivers this weekend, including Marvin Harrison junior.
LA Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, with his broken left hand,

(25:57):
was able to practice on a limited basis. Again, the
team is optimistic he can play Monday night against Philadelphia.
Herbert has yet to take snaps from under center, something
he could not do last Sunday. Either Chargers first round
running back Omar and Hampton returned to full practice. He
broke an ankle in Week five. Saints running back Alvin
Kamara is out at Tampa Bay with knee and ankle injuries,

(26:18):
and Bucks wide receivers Mike Evans and Jalen McMillian and
McMillan are each still out. Wide receiver t Higgins at
the Bengals returns Sunday at Buffalo. He cleared concussion protocol.
Bill's defensive end Joey Bosa is out with a bad hamstring.
Bears wide receiver Roma Dounze out with a foot injury.
He's considered week to week. Falcons wide receiver Drake London

(26:38):
still out with a knee injury. Lions safety Brian Branch
out for the year with a torn achilles. Raiders defensive
end Max Crosby is questionable against Denver. He's missed the
last two practices with a knee injury. There are four
conference championship games in college football tonight. Scoreless early for
Troy at number twenty five James Madison in the Sun Belt,

(27:00):
and scoreless late first quarter for Jacksonville State in Alabama
hosting Kennesaw State for the Conference USA title coming up
in a half an hour on Fox TV. Ten and
two UNLV at Boise State for the Mountain West Crown,
and number twenty two Lane hosts number twenty four North
Texas in a half an hour for the American Conference
Championship and the winner should make the playoff. Penn State's

(27:21):
new head coach will reportedly be Matt Campbell from Iowa State.
Alabama running back jam Miller questionable for Saturday with a
leg injury. This Saturday night, number one Ohio State against
number two Indiana for the Big Ten title in Indianapolis
on Fox TV. Each team is twelve and ozh among
the twelve NBA games tonight. Great shooting for the Celtics

(27:42):
early sixty percent from the floor in late first quarter.
They lead the Lakers thirty two to fifteen. Lakers five
of twenty one from the floor. Luka Donsich out again
for family reasons, but could return Sunday. Lebron James of
LA Out. Tonight, Orlando is hosting Miami Paulo Benkero. The
Magic turns from a strain Groind. He is on a
minute restriction Magic twenty seven twenty five over the heat

(28:05):
late first Quarterback to.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
You, Steve, thank you so much, coble covin Washington, Rob
G and for Rob pe on this funky flashback Friday.
I told you there was the other side, uh to
that game, Rob G, and that was that the Lions
got a much needed wines one again the Lions. That's
what I tweeted Rob too when I told him, I said,
blah blah blah blah blah, you're the new you know,

(28:27):
good luck charm for the Lions. And then I said
hashtag I think the Lions won again. You know he
hates them when I do that. By the way, the
worst part about that for Rob is he should have
never told me no.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Yeah, no, I never know that he can to himself.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Yea, because he doesn't comment on when I posted on
Instagram one way or the other.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
He doesn't laugh. He didn't say I hated nothing, so.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
I didn't think he even cared and he's got the
other day he was all seriously been out of shape
on it.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
And then you do the lines one again. You're a fan.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
So when I do my next one, I'm gonna send
it to him. Forty four to thirty. They get the
win and a couple of those few handful of those
drives Roger just easy for them. But the more importantly
they get to win and their odds go almost sixty
percent to make the postseason, big drop had they lost.
But Jameson Williams, by the way, is the last two

(29:13):
games with I'm around Saint Brown being out of that
nicked up. Yep, he stepped up huge for them. It's
been great to see them get him in it. But
the biggest thing about the Lions is there are times
when the running games looking pretty good, not great and
like it used to been, but the defense is looking solid,
bending but don't breaking, and it makes you kind of think,
all right, that's the Lions. You kind of expect when
I said they're gonna make the playoffs easily. You know

(29:35):
that's what you hope for. But there's one thing that
you worry about, and it's bitten them already. Their last
couple of seasons from time to time, and you saw
that happen and breaking news that ended up coming up
later earlier this morning, and you think that's the hindrance.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Absolutely, and just quickly about the Lions. When you watch
them play like they played last night, that they played
basically for the last two and a half seasons, they
to me look like what a Super Bowl champion team
looks like. This was the fifth time this season they
scored at least thirty five points, the most in the NFL.
This coming from a team that had to change their
offensive coordinated their play caller because they thought they weren't

(30:12):
doing enough offensively. All right, they have not lost consecutive
games in more than three seasons.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Dude, that's the craziest. That's about to turn into the
Lebron double digit. They're gonna care about that, maybe one
day a little.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Too much, but right, yeah, here's the other one.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
On the season, even though they're outside of the playoff race,
they have three wins over teams that are currently leading
their division, wins over the Bears, the Ravens, and the Bucks.
I believe that this team, Detroit Lions, are absolutely good
enough to not only winstable, but to be one of
the favorites to win the Super Bowl. The problem is,
I don't know if they're gonna be healthy enough to

(30:48):
get there. Just like last season, the big news that
come out of the game outside of the win last
night for them, Jamior Gibbs looking like the best player,
one of the best players in football for sure. Brian
Branch suffered what they believe to be a torn achilles.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
That's brutal.

Speaker 5 (31:01):
They were already down all Pro Kirby Joseph on the
back end. How many teams can overcome two Pro Bowls
slash all Pro caliber defensive players out. That's not to
mention the Terry and Arnold in another quarterback of in
and out of the lineup, back and forth. Amm Rossaint
Brown is nicked up right now, laport out, Laporta's out

(31:23):
for the season. You know, Panay Sewell's taking a step back.
They say he's not hurt, but he looks like he's
a little bit hurt. To me, like, how many times
can you overcome this kind of stuff and still be
the best version of yourself? And I think right now
they're fighting up about EA. Just think the playoffs because
the way the Bear started out the season, season goes on,
but as good as they are at their best, I

(31:44):
don't know if we're gonna be able to see them
be their best all the way through.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
Well, I've been telling Rob Parker that for you know,
the better part of heading towards a year now. Because
that loss to the Commanders, he puts it all on
Jared Goff because that's easy, Jerry Gove all. But if
you watch the game, it wasn't just jeredar They were
right there towards the end. If James jameson Willis Williams
doesn't throw that interception, they which I knew. I literally

(32:07):
screamed it real.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
Why the receivers always feel like they gotta throw the
ball like, well, it's not in their mind. They can
just throw it away like no, man, I don't here's
the chance to this, I'm gonna throw it up, yol.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Certain receivers, my Davante Adams would tuck it. He's a
little bit more situation situationally aware. Hines Ward, My hines
Ward would have tucked it. You know, I'm bolding, and
Kwan Bolden would have tucked it. You guys who go oh,
I understand to see the point at the time to
score the da Dad, other guys, if George Picking's doing
that thing up and there, Yeah, it's going up. CD's

(32:36):
down there somewhere, Jee James and Williams is one of that.
That was especially then right, that was going up. And
I knew it in real time sitting next to my
buddy shout up to my boy. Dad's was sitting there
watching the game, and I just go, he's I said,
he don't do it, don't do it.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
And I know because it's just the.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
First when though you do those trick plays, it's the
initial read.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
It's supposed to be there. If it's not Nigga, then
you go no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
And he did that.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
But my point back to that was they were so banged.
Remember that, like seven to eight new starters in the
in the defense side of the ball in the postseason.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
You can't win like that, You just can't.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
And so that was a massive factor for them, and
the only other equation I would have or a team
that's in comparison, I should say.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
The forty nine ers are amazing at losing.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Fred Warner arguably the best linebacker, Bosa one of the
better linemen. They lose this guy, they lost their quarterback,
they lose You can be out anybody. McCaffrey has been out.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
The missed off the season, and they will just keep
trugging along.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
And they've done that to his credit, all of Kyle
Shanahan's tenure. They just find a way next man of
no excuses. And and and you just wonder these two
teams bruising style, blue collar hard you know, lunch piale
hat hard hat, I should say hard had lunch pale
is it?

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Are they practicing differently?

Speaker 4 (33:59):
Is there something then they need to mix in that
They need to get to the green smoothies with Chip Kelly.
Don't do that because everywhere he goes hasn't been great since.
But something is too hard nose?

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Is it? What is it?

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Well to illustrate your point, the last time the Niners,
or the actually the only time in the last five
or six years that the Niners have been healthy throughout
the season, they made the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Why would you bring that was funny?

Speaker 5 (34:22):
Is that same season was the last time you would
say the Lions were reasonably healthy in the playoffs. And
so when those two teams are healthy, they were clearly
the two best teams in the NFC something to never
healthy anymore.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
So they're clearly the Lions aren't going to get healthy
and losing Brian losing Brian Branch.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
I mean that their defense, especially the way that they play,
the way they.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Use him as a safety, slash linebacker, slash blitzer.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Just he's kind of that guy. He's there, Kyle Hamilton,
if you're.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Hundred percent, he's kind of there. Please hear me when
I say this Troy way that they use him is good.
But you get what I'm saying, Not that guy, but
just the way they use him. So all right, on the.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Other side, we get into I told you we were
at Disney Lamb, so.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
We had a little fun there. We'll talk a little
bit about that, and also we got to do Play
of the Day as well.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
We'll do that.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
Robb G's sitting in for Robbie on this Funky flash
Back Friday. Stay with you boys, just the O Cup
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 4 (35:28):
It's Wonderful Time movie. Are you all set up at
home everything? Oh, we're like halfway. We might not go
more because the baby and she's been known a breaks down.
Oh good, we're all we may only go like seventy
five percent over half. Yeah, we're we're sixty five seventy.
A couple other little things we need to do then
we'll be able to do in the next couple of days.
Little Super Wendy where I am so I didn't want

(35:50):
to put up certain things they just fall away a couple.
Rob G's in for Rob Parker kelvin Washington on a
funky flash back Friday, and it is now time for
your tire rack player of the day. Your tire rec
player of the day said, hold on for a minute,
tell me more about this Disney California adventure to be specific,

(36:12):
outing that we had yesterday.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
You were there, I was there.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
That might have been the play of the day. There
were just the people there. We had a whole squad there.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
We'll tell you about that in a moment. Play the day.
Just make sure you get the last shot in the regulation.

Speaker 7 (36:26):
Reach there it goes reachs to chugs chicken corn.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
Game basketball Spectrum Sports Net on the call. There that
is your tire reck player of the day, Ruey with
the game winner, and of course iraq is for over
forty years they have been helping customers find the right
tires for how, for what and where they drive. Ship
fast and free back by Free World has a protection

(36:56):
with convenient installation options like mobile tire Insallation, tyreck Dot
comments to wait tied buying should be so huge shot
for them, big win for them. You mentioned, by the way,
forty something points for Austin Reeds, which at some point
we got to start talking about this season for him.
Dude is averaging forty one in a game and a
handful of games that Luca hasn't played this season. That's

(37:17):
in tennis. Is forty one in Tennis's when Luca's out. Now,
I agree with you, but today's probably not the day
to have that conversation. They're down by thirty points right
now against Boston. Stay focused, Okay, what I'm talking about.
Let's talk about it when they please shop. Yeah, didn't
nobody ask you that? Wait till they go play the
Lamar LaMelo Ball and Charlotte Hornets, don't.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
He ain't gonna play that game either, a game. He's always, Man,
don't get me started on it.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
You know my theory about too much basketball in middle school,
high school and all that affecting these NBA guys.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
But all right, so what's what's the rule?

Speaker 5 (37:46):
This is?

Speaker 1 (37:46):
This is what we're getting at here. Patrick.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
You can be in on this too, Alex, Yeah, betting
on this. When you're out and about and you long day.
Maybe you're in the mall Christmas shopping with the family.
Maybe you're at Disneyland like all of us. Were you
see people you work with, Maybe you even see neighbors,
see some people you know. Are you go out of
your way to stop and talk to people? Are you
a selective or are you a I don't want to

(38:10):
talk to anybody.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Leave me alone here at the fam. I'm tired. It's
been a long day. Where are you falling that? I
don't know why you're dancing around it?

Speaker 5 (38:15):
Because the reason we're talking about this is because you me, Patrick,
a few other people from our Fox plus our parent company, iHeart,
and then the sister station down the street. We were
all there at this event and it's a private event
and it's you know, very exclusive. O shout out to
Coast and each one of us said off the air
that we saw somebody that we knew, either from here
from somewhere else, and we were like, do I go

(38:37):
say what's up? Or nah, I'm good. I was gonna
go ahead, look down and make sure that's exactly what.
It's so fun and I don't feel like there's a
problem with that.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
But this, okay, you say that.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
This is why I asked the question though, because I
think we're all selective, because there's no way I wouldn't
chopped it up with you us excited to see out
of it.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
I finally get, you know, to see more of the family.
I met your wife.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
I think it was only time right show me here once. Yeah,
when I was here to see her and kid, you know,
the daughters. We haven't been able to get them together.

Speaker 5 (39:06):
So I was hoping we would have saw each other
because peopleoth thought our girls with us.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
Yeah, so you're one. I would if Elijah if I
saw Patrick. So it's like, that's my point that we
are all selective. Let's just be honest.

Speaker 6 (39:17):
I was selective last night. Now, granted I knew rob
G was there only for like a certain amount of time.
I just we just did not cross paths, even though
we were kind of in the.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
So you ignored someone. Whoever that made you don't have
to say.

Speaker 6 (39:30):
I may have seen someone in the corner of my
eye and I was. I was with my sister last
night when we went and when I saw hearing like
a little bit away, I just looked at her.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Leaned down and he's like, at last they don't see me.
We're good.

Speaker 6 (39:44):
I literally did the whole you know, the Jeff Goldblum
muscle faster, musco faster.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
I was like, I left her like, go faster, faster,
go faster.

Speaker 4 (39:51):
But to your point, had you seen Rob g you
would have, oh, are you kidding me? I'm assuming myself
if you saw me because you were mad that I'm mad.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
I didn't even know you were there until during the break.

Speaker 6 (40:02):
I would have literally dropped what I was doing, gone
out of line Likekelvin.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
Now, the funny part is, had Rob as in Rob
Parker been there, I might have just kept moving.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
I might have been like I see too much every day.

Speaker 5 (40:16):
You know why, because it would have taken Rob ten
minutes to get to where you were at. You would
have been done with what you were doing.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Where are you I would have had an obligation, what's up,
Come take a picture with me? Come on, I don't
know what.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
Rob By the way for the viewer and the listener
shout to YouTube and people listen.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
Rob off Air is.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
Kind of a teddy bear, would you agree like, especially
especially in certain settings like big settings. He's kind of
often just chill and quiet. People will be blown away
what they think of him. It's funny because he's loud
and crazy here, but actually Rob's like, hey, guys, all
sweet and nice and you know you're like what what?

Speaker 5 (40:58):
It's actually hilarious. Let me flip this topic is real
quick yes or no answer. We all agree that if
someone don't want to see what says ing, what if
there is somebody that you do like, are you obligated
to go out of your way and be lining fifteen
twenty ft to say what's up? Or can you just
throw up the deuces and be like acknowledge you.

Speaker 4 (41:13):
No, I'm gonna tell you why, because if you like them,
that means you guys should usually be on the same temperament.
Where Like if Rob Jesus chucked the duce with me,
I would know all his autor must be tired, like
because you're my guy.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
So he's only doing that for a reason, like he
wouldn't just keep She's on one right now. You don't
want to see this, So I think that you the
same thing, same thing here. Yeah, yeah, plus the thing
when you get out grown enough. It is what it is.
We ain't really gott to talk. I'm alright with that.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
