Speaker 4 (03:20):
I think it's Jason Smith for the Clippers.
Speaker 6 (03:23):
He's never a jersey. It's okay. I'm not gonna wear
a next jersey. That's my That's what I can do
a fan. That's why.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
Yeah weird. Yeah, I would never wear Celtic shirt.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
That's the difference between you and I am more fun
than you.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
And as she likes to say, you like to say,
everybody's got choice, cho made the wrong one.
Speaker 6 (03:40):
No, no, no, don't hit on the short king.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Well let's see what Bronson.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, hopefully can uh return back to kind of his
more efficient self, my goodness. And of course the social
media guru Elijah of getting this set.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
You still ain't heard of them. It's been eight years.
Never heard of them, Elija, I heard of you. I
can't see him. Don't do that. Don't do that, is
do that. He's over there, don't do that. Scene. What
do you got to do with dark people? I can't
see the corner. Hit your own racist button. Everybody is
sitting under a light, but eliash Year, he's sitting.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
You know what I'm saying, just getting, just getting. I
cannot see him. Thank you, shame y'all got branding over there, blessing.
Don't do it like that. Brandon is like, what show
is this? I did not know?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Brandon is not blushing. Was in the sun for an hour,
stopping between you and him.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Because like the vitamin D and the chromosome of the creatine,
if you get it, then you eat it with the flaxe.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
You need the chee bro. Those two and there do
we have talk about? Yeah, yeah, we might have to
have Alex make us up.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I'm just you. We turned out on the on, the
little turned out on it got little turned out. All right,
we'll get to that. We got a lot to get
to on the show. Let's start it off with this
game four NBA Finals. President Trump not in the building,
so maybe, just maybe the mojo is back for the
next Maybe you got fans right there. I think it's
on third street of them, number seven street, one of
(05:03):
the streets out there.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
They get to be right back out.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Obviously all of that got mixed because of President Trump
being in the building, and hopefully they can get back
to former If you are the Knicks, that's what you're
waiting on. And I said this yesterday to Rob, I
think the Knicks president there, the entire city of New
York going crazy. I mean they're going crazy, all the
celebrity role. I mean, it's all of that. And I
(05:26):
said this to you, you called in yesterday. I felt
like the Knicks, surprisingly with the tense team, the tight team,
they felt all that pressure. The whole city there, biggest
city in America, hadn't won it since seventy three, hadn't
been in it since ninety nine.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
I thought the veterans squad felt it.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
I thought the younger team was like, Hey, we ain't
got none to lose, let's go ball out.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
But here's gonna be the key for me from tonight.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
What I'm looking for, I'm looking for the return of
the thirteen winning game winning streak. Cat Can Carl Anthony
towns Ap be out for him? When they went on
a thirteen game winning streak. A large portion of that
was when Cat they said, let's hero ball from Jalen. Jalen,
we got the perfect role for you. Be a part
(06:09):
of the flow, get some shots, do what you do.
Close this thing, okay, Mariano riveredis thing, come on in.
What you want, some walk out music you want, We're
gonna close this thing on out and that's what we
need you to do. Obviously, you're gonna make some big shots.
Here to ask what you do. You're best score, but
right now you're shooting thirty seven percent. You're inefficient. They've
got big wings all over the place, body checking you,
(06:30):
making it difficult for you. And that's okay because we
built the team for reasons like situations like this. And
I credit Mike Brown for shifting something he said two
days ago. Mike Brown said, what I had to do
as a coach was adjust and when it wasn't working,
adjust And he said, I don't try to make the
team fit to what I'm doing. I adjust the game
(06:52):
planning to my players. I thought that was responsible. His
point was we're eagleless. We try to find what's working,
and he found it. Thirteen game winning street average margin
before the finals, twenty four points the game. They have
been in the good groove, sharing the ball, moving the ball,
putting cat at that high post. Karl Anthy Towns twenty
plus points, twelve plus rebounds. When they've won. He from
(07:14):
karl Anthony Towns can't get for ten shots the whole game.
Only ten shots, right, So for me, you have to
get back to that. Mike Brown said, they're going to
He said, I have to make it a point to
get in the ball. And here's what I'm gonna ask
for the big fellow God forbid. Once you and I
run the same age, can we ever have a dude
called for the ball? Can we ever have a dude say, hey,
(07:36):
I got this, I'm open, little got a little guy
on me, and I want to and I want to dominate.
So for me, from quick last point is in order
what I want to see the Knicks in order for
them to get back to win a winning ways, it
has to be where Karnthony town is the focal point.
They're passing through him. Look at these numbers, he's shooting
fifty six percent, he's shooting forty six from three. That
(07:59):
guy has still have the ball. So to me, that's
where the offenses run through get back on track. We
were under pressure. We felt it we raised our hands,
we admit it and get back to our play performing better.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
This is what I'll tell you. Everyone was saying, including myself,
Karl Anthony Towns has been amazing. Since the third game
of the Atlanta series, He's been amazing. He's been great
in every series, every game. Mike Brown did something, took
some of the pressure off Brunton and ran the offense
(08:33):
through Carl Anthony Towns, and he's They're benefited greatly for
him to the tune of looking like one of the
best teams in the playoffs, especially this playoffs. What were
the rumblings before Game three? I don't want to believe you. Listen,
I don't want to believe you what I'm saying. We're
all human beings. We all expect things from usespecially if
(08:57):
we've ascended to greatness. Yep. If Carl Anthony Towns. People
were saying, if the season, if the series ended today,
Carl Anthony Towns would be the finals MVP and I
agree with that. He played like that, right. Jalen Brunson
(09:22):
is the face of that team. Jalen Brunson, who has
been the topic of small guards can't lead a team
to the promised land and and and be the finals
MVP and and and win a finals. That's out there
that's been talked about. Yeah, this whole uh Draymond like
(09:45):
it's it's just not one person, Kendrick Perkins, the whole
nine yards. People are talking about this. Jalen Brunson, here's this.
Jalen Brunson understands what's going on. Jalen Brunson came out
and had a game we haven't seen. His plus or
minus was minus seven. Carl Anthony Towns was still plus eleven,
(10:06):
meaning his minutes on the floor were more productive than
Jalen finally got into the thirties and scoring, but it
shot twenty eight times.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
He's right now, I think it's eighty two points in
the games on eighty one shots.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
So subconsciously, whether he's like I'm going out and subconsciously
he understands from a human standpoint what people are saying.
He guess who can't pass the ball to himself? Carl
Anthony Towns cannot pass the ball to himself, right, Jalen
Bronce at the usage rate, and you can demand all
(10:41):
you want, I can look you off, I can take
my shot. I can drive to the court who we
saw the Knicks play uncharacteristic basketball in Game three. That's
all I'm saying. All I'm saying is Jalen Bronson went out,
in my opinion, to prove to people why he's the MVP.
(11:03):
He went out to try to win the MVP in
the game that they thought that they were gonna win.
So now you have a Game four for the sweep,
and if you go out there and ball again, they
give it to you. But if Carl Anthony Towns, if
it runs through him and say he has a triple double,
and you guys win that game. Brother, it don't matter
(11:23):
what you do in the last game. I'm not saying
I know that, but that's what it looked like when
I was watching. Here's my pushback to that. I'm not
I get the sentiment because that's when it was the talk.
Did you see that was a talk? I'm not.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Here's my but here's what I saw. I mean, I
saw a guy who has Napoleon syndrome. I would imagine
at times because all eat too small and not athletic enough,
and I and a guy who the tallest human being
on earth pushed him down and Sundom I saw that one.
(11:57):
I saw Stefan Castle bulldom him, and I saw Jalen
Brunson getting pushed over a couple of times. Say I'm
about to show y'all I'm that guy. I'm built for this,
I'm tough and I can do this. Not trying to
be in But but but I don't think it was
the mindset of MVP. I think it was more so.
I'm not gonna let y'all disrespect me any way.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
You take a player out of their mindset that has
been helping them win, right, it's a win for the Spurs' win.
I don't disagree with that. So, whether he's trying to
capture the voters in the MVP, whether he's trying to
prove a point to the other team, both of those
are wrong. Both of those have the same outcome.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
One is more malicious, though one is more more you
can pick detrimental to the team.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
I'm doing this for me. Okay, So if they push
him down again this game, is he gonna do it?
Speaker 3 (12:46):
If they put him down, if it's winby specifically, we
gotta scratch because can give he feels.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Like that again. If the final castle runs through his chest,
I'm gonna tell you why. I say no, why I
don't think he'll do that.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Okay, Well, I they run to them or whatever they elbow,
if they you know, try to rough them up and
tough them up.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
I'll tell you that. After this.
Speaker 3 (13:06):

Speaker 4 (13:31):
When M Drive first came to me, I'll be honest
what you said, I never never heard of it, and
I had neither to be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
But Dan of course started to pay attention, and I
was really paying attention what was going on my body?
Same after forty energy drops, weight won't move, the gym
stops giving back what you put.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
In, and you know what happens, right, You think it's you.
It's not. It's testosterone. It declines after forty and it
takes everything with it.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
So what they did was built M drive, and M
drive is built exactly for that. You pop pop a
couple of capsules in the morning and it's clinically to ingredients.
They support healthy testos, road energy, metabolism, all that good
stuff on you.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
We gonna have Alex make us look concoct. I need it.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
And he's like Paul, I'm like pauls bro and I'm like,
I can't have firscus on the rest of it.

But because that was just just out of control. Yeah,
we've got carried away and I'm guilty of it. Two
Alex knows we will all be over here. I'll be
like Paul that it is the odd couple. Kelvin Washington,
eph salam In on this worship Wednesday, looking forward to
chopping up with Mike Hill in about six or seven
minutes or so. By the way, the World's biggest soccer
tournament is here and you can trade every match on calshi.
(16:15):
Download the cashie calshy app use the code I O
D D to get ten dollars when you trade ten
dollars calshi trade on anything. And I was supposed to
relay a message to you, George Reister shout to George
Reister French show. I was just with him and he
told me, he said, Ephra might be like, yo, man,
you know what I tell George. He was supposed to
call me George. Yeah, he ghosted me.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
Yeah, and he said, my bad, but I'm gonna call
you man, please. We're trying to do business. Yeah, you're
trying to do George begged me to come over and
do and do business. And so when I'm trying to
close the business up, I don't know where Georgia is at.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
And you athlete, you ab ced it always be closing
you trying to close, always be closed. George, mom, bro,
I don't know what's going don't call him. Don't call
him now though, because right now that it was a
pool party. Oh you know, he was having a good time.
It was a good time all the kids, the kids
last day of school, so they were kind enough to
(17:12):
host a big, old, huge pool party.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
If somebody called George, what you maybe, yes, we're gonna
do that. Next time we got Mike Keill coming, they
put him on the spot, or last hour, Michael Thompson.
Then we don't have anybody do George last we last.
All right, we'll call him out, call him on about
that monster you're calling him. He's calling them, tell him
we call ing him in the seven o'clock, six, six
o'clock hour, nine o'clock on the east. All right, let's
(17:34):
get to this.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
You asked me something about Brunton, you said, and when
I say, I'm asking it correctly, you were saying, what
if the spurs kind of bump around and get him
a you know, kind of get him ticked off again?
According to why you think he did what he did.
I think the thing I love about him is that
he is measured enough. He two time collegiatemion, very wise guy,
(18:02):
dad been through it. Rick Brunson in the league, and
I think he's type to be like, that's on me.
I got carried away. Let me not take it personally.
I got eleven other guys depending on me. There are
other guys. I'll be right there with you, you know what
I mean. Like, and I know he he's gonna get
fired up, he's gonna get going. He's you know, maybe
edwards because he wanted to pre wants to prove it
to you. Someone Luca will be like that, you know,
(18:23):
like what I think Jayleen Brunson and not that he's
gonna take He's still gonna get shots up.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
That's what he That's what he does. He's a scorer.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
But I don't think he'll take it as personally like
I have to attack you, even take bad shots.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
That's just me. I know Rick Bronson had a thing
or two to say, yeah, like come on son. I
know Rick was like, hey man, they probably watched the
film about five or six times already. It stuck out
and it was odd because we know that Jalen Brunson
is a bucket getter. Yep. I'm coaching my sons, and
I coached you know, twelve year twelve you kids, and
(18:56):
out of a team of eight, you'll have one or
two bucket getters that can no matter what they're doing defensively,
so you can get a bucket. Bronton has been one
of those guys whole life, his whole life. In this
moment on the biggest stage in the world for basketball
in the Garden literally, yeah, the game to essentially wrap
(19:19):
up the series because no team has ever come back
three to one or three to three. You decide in
that moment, Oh, they made me mad. I'm about to
do it myself. You have not gotten this this far
doing that as matter of fact, when you were doing
it earlier Atlanta beach it twice. Yep. So you picked
(19:40):
that moment. And you mean to tell me he didn't
hear the chatter of Karl Anthony Towns being the favorite
for finals MVP on his team. Remember when Steph Curry
won his first championship and he was the MVP of
the league and didn't even win finals MVP, right, because
(20:01):
they should have gave it to Lebron player and it
should have been Lebron.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Twelve and nine or and he did his thing against Lebron, Like, wait,
what did I meant? That was the There's like three
things in my the last twenty years that I'm like,
all right, NBA, what was that?
Speaker 4 (20:15):
But what I'm telling you is he's felt that he
understands the moment. He knows, so I'm gonna do all
of this for the team. And when we get to
the finals and not be able to win finals, MVP,
I just don't want to believe it.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
I don't want to watch. I watched the game and
I'm like, what's happening right now? You also watched him
in college.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
I did. He was never that kind of guy. He
was just very harmeful the.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Guy in the fact that Devincenzo was the guy by
the way I was. I remember watching him combat. Who
this is crazy. This dude is nice.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
He mixed.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
He is, by the way. If he's not, he is
hand hair. Somebody lied in the in the just me,
I'm hell, I'm I'm I'm Irish and in British I'm
French and something else. Yeah, everybody something well allegedly, but
he got a brother. I don't know, manzip I believe him.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
Twenty three me.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Well, black people, I think they was just lying up.
It was like, because I know we can't trace a
lot of things.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
That dark throwing dark, and we're gonna do some region
in Africa, and and you're Ghanaian and Iran. I'm Nigerian,
Ghanaian and Irish just making stuff up? Say what now? Okay?
I know good and well, but I can't believe. I
was so don't even want to talk about that. I
(21:31):
was mad. I'm like, I don't trust none of this
for black people. We don't know, we don't know, no
one knows. My name is supposed to be not Washington.
I have to get all deep, all right.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Mike here on the other side, and I got to
ask Mike Hill something you were looking at it cause
we both got the same TVs. I saw you look
at something. I want to ask Mike Hill about what's
happening in New York. Mike Hill new York. Nick fans
spent time obviously born in New York. Think he left Alabama,
but New York is home in his mind and will
talk to him and just the.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Right. That's right, MANCI, But thank.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
You so much. I did text Georgie.
Speaker 7 (22:07):
I said, Hey, the odd Couple's gonna call you because
Covin said, you're talking smack about Ephram.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
That's exactly you know how you stick the scores. You're
not coming to.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
News with me.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
You're gonna have to were trying to have some integrity
and accuracy news. Can you text him as that Ephraim said,
you've been ghosting here.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
I'll say that I did. I did put laughing emoji
so he knows.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
It's like good knows. But he ghosted me on business deal.
Speaker 6 (22:30):
I'm gonna say, ghost it. Why you be ghosting people?
Speaker 4 (22:32):
Why that works?
Speaker 6 (22:33):
I'm gonna say why, why ghosts? Why you be ghosting guys?
Speaker 7 (22:37):
NBA Finals game is gonna start in about in hours
for trying to even the series from Madison Square Garden.
But the good news is is the tickets were went
way down on the secondary market. So instead of like
ten thousand, eleven, twelve thousand eight, the thirty seven hundred
according to Bleacher Report, about thirty seven hundred, two thousand
bucks to get your foot in.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
That's that that that dump trunk worker that ups dry.
They still that's great. They can't afford it. We having
to watch party out front again, that's all that matters.
Speaker 6 (23:04):
It's only one thousand people.
Speaker 7 (23:06):
So there is a watch party, but it's being controlled
by the NYPD.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
So my understanding is a thousand people can.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Go, well, we might get Mike healed in a moment.
I'll explain why that is. They're acting a fool even.
Speaker 6 (23:18):
A little bit. They sure did, they sure did.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
I am you know, all in like you with the
T shirt?
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Right? We in? We in?
Speaker 6 (23:24):
Listen, A lot of we are in. Yeah, a lot
of people are in hold on you.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
From an average of twenty three point eight million viewers
watched Game three of the NBA Finals, all.
Speaker 4 (23:35):
Numbers, eighteen of it is all numbers.
Speaker 6 (23:38):
Yeah, the most for Game three since nineteen ninety eight.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Okay, okay, the regular regular season, regular season. Brown's Carolina
numbers can't compare apple to apples. Sir, I'm just saying
it's true. You ain't in. Yeah, I know you played
the NFL, but you you like basketball? I do? I
love that? All right?
Speaker 7 (23:58):
Then, all right, then quickly here guys in NFL news,
Patrick Mahomes is gonna make a lot of money.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
No shocker there. He and the Chiefs have extended his
contract by two years, so his deal now is.
Speaker 7 (24:07):
Five hundred and four point seven five million, and in
twenty twenty seven, his average annual salary is.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Going to be sixty four million.
Speaker 7 (24:14):
The most funny player in NFL history, So congrats to you,
Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
In baseball, guys, Philly's lead the Blue Jays right now,
one zero, top of the second inning.
Speaker 7 (24:22):
Max Scherzer has reached thirty five hundred strikeouts, eleventh pitcher
to do so. Back to you guys, Hall of Fame, right, oh,
absolutely absolutely, first ballot.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
Yeah. The other ten guys are in the Hall of
Fame too, first ballot. Yeah, he should be, of course.
There we have it, MONTI, thank you. Odd couple, Rob
is out.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
We got Epherman kelvin Washington on this worship Wednesday, joined
by our guy Mike Hill, Fox Sports one host.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
New York Necks superfan, God New York, Good, New York.
Got what up? Mike?
Speaker 5 (24:52):
Game time, baby, game mode. I'm focused right now, man, yo.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Out and everything like that, like Jamie FOXX.
Speaker 5 (25:01):
When a situation for my Knicks tonight, Why y'all bothering
me right now?
Speaker 4 (25:06):
Hey, all right, we got to start here.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
We can get to dax'es and O's and what you
saw in Game three or what you saw through the
first three games. I gotta ask you this, Can you
tell the nick fans to relax? Why they beating up
people walking around with Spurs jersey on what's come home?
Speaker 5 (25:19):
I mean, you know what, there's there's fans in there, fanatics. Man,
then they're just damn fools. And and the people that
did that the other night is just damn fools. There's
no place in sports or anywhere in society or anything
like that. Man. Like, I understand, you love your team,
you raped your team. I die on my team out
go to back of my team. But I'm not catching
the case for my team. I'm not exactly catching felony
(25:40):
for my team.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Man.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
That is not showing your loyalty to a team because
somebody's wearing a Spurs jersey. How would you like it
if you went down to San Antonio on a group
of Sanntonias first start beating the hell out of you. Uh,
that's that's that's no way to yourself. Man. Let's just
go out there when I know the city's gonna be
crazy if they do win this championship. It's been a
long time. I can understand the angs. I can understand
anxiety or whatever. Man, but let's have fun and enjoy
(26:03):
the Knicks having this remarkable season and not destroyed because
a couple of fans, a couple of stupid idiots out
there are doing dumb things.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
So it's not a couple of thousands of people just
out of control.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
Yeah, well, you know, they got eight nine million people
in New York and most of them are New York fans, man,
So you know, look, I understand they are. It's dumb,
you know, I agree with you, man, And like I said,
it's like twenty of them got arrested, and there's maybe
hundreds of tens of thousands of people down there trying
to enjoy themselves. And then you get a group of
just rowdy, stupid, ignorant foods that just want to cause
(26:37):
trouble and just want to show their allegiance for the
Orange and Blue. Main they're the main ones that screaming
at Jalen Bruston for having a bad game in Game
three or whatever whatnot. But they want to beat up
a Spurs fan victor when but Yamba Jersey walking down
the street supporting and celebrating his team in a big win. Now,
am I going to be somebody that's a Spurs fan,
(26:57):
and am I gonna walk through a crowded Knicks fans?
Speaker 4 (27:00):
No? Probably not, just like rate the nation.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
I understand they do certain things like that in certain stadiums,
but once again, there is no place, not just in
sports but in society for something like that. So people
just gotta be cool and stop doing ignorant stuff.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
The bad thing about it is win or lose the finals,
the Knick fans New York is gonna guitar. It's gonna
be a problem. Win or lose, It's a rap. Okay, Yeah,
let's move on. Mike being a Knick fan, what did
you see? What did you see different from the Knicks
(27:35):
in the previous thirteen games to what they showed up
with in Game three of the finals.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
I saw a totally different team.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Man.
Speaker 5 (27:44):
It seemed like in the beginning, and I know it
first is on the first punch in the first couple
of games in the series. First two games of the
series and Knicks were able to come back. I saw
Nick team. I felt like they could do the same thing.
In Game three, I saw Knicks team that seemed like
they were more overwhelmed by the hype and the crowd
than the young Spurs were in that first game. I
also saw a Knicks team that on offense did not
(28:05):
do the things that they have become accustomed to over
the last thirteen games, that moved that ball so well.
I saw Jalen Brunston dribbling the ball for eighteen seconds
and then trying to get a shot off over to defenders,
trying to create some of this stuff. I saw Jaylen
bruns I put Game three, and I love Jalen. Don't
get me wrong, he is not having a series that
he needs to have to try and lead this team
(28:26):
to its first championship in over fifty years. I saw
Jaylen Brunton in my mind seeming like, Okay, I have
not had the first two games. I want to win
the MVP of this this champions MVP things, and that
is not what is going to help this team win.
This offense has to run the ball, hopefully through Karl
(28:46):
Anthony Towns, get him a little bit more ball. The
fact that he had off game and Jalen Bronston was shooting,
you know, brickson and throwing the ball up the way
he was and dribbling as much, let you know that
the offense was in the scene Therefore, other players like
Michel Bridges couldn't do his thing offensively. Duce McBride, who
hasn't had a great game so far in these in
these finals, wasn't able to get off you know, even
(29:06):
Landry Shammon in his open threes, where if it's not
knocking out when the ball is moving around the perimeter
like it has been for the Knicks most previous thirteen games,
that offense seems unstoppable. And then on the defensive end
of things, man, they just weren't getting a round screens.
They weren't fighting through the screens like they usually do. Man,
I didn't see anything for mckel Bridges, and I'm not
trying to put everything on them, but I understand he
(29:28):
got two early fouls in that game in Game three,
but I didn't see anything on the offensive end, and
I damn sure didn't see anything on the defensive end.
That has got to stop. He and og Annaobay, I've
said this from the beginning, are the keys to the
Knicks winning this series. And no cat's gonna get his eventually.
We know Jalen's gonna get his and show up when
he needs to. But those two guys, when they play well,
(29:49):
and Josh continued to plays and beat the hard and
soul of the team. The Knicks can win this championship,
but those two got to show up. Og showed them
in Game three. Mckil bridges did not.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Let me go here, of course, Mike, he I love
that take. I love that take. I ain't like him.
What I said, nothing, we know what he's doing, we argued.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
I said, well, I don't feel like we're hashiting, but
you you just said the point of him about that
MVP love and maybe Jayleen was filming some type of way.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
I don't want to buy it.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
I just don't think he's that type of guy.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
I thought it was more personal because they were throwing
them all over the Dagon court and he just was like,
i'mna prove it to them. Let me go here, Mike,
He'll on with the odd couple kelvin Washington, Eph salam
In for Rob on this worship Wednesday. I'm gonna go
to the other side of this, and this is with
the Spurs. You've been covering hoops, watching hoops your whole life,
like us. I don't know if I can think of
and the thunder would be the only answer if I
(30:39):
had to think of somebody a team this young, that
is almost this young and dumb and believe they can
win it. Like technically you're like, no way, you're not
supposed to win this. But they're twenty two, twenty one,
twenty When you're looking at their best players, obviously Darren
Darren Fox at twenty eight, but this young squad has
a nerve to be in the finals and making it
a series.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Have you seen anything quite like this?
Speaker 5 (30:58):
No? I mean you brought the thunder from last year
being a young team, and they had that togetherness and
it was almost like, hey, we're in Oklahoma City, we
have nothing else to do. We might as well be
friends and family and sing on the basketball court and
win a championship.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
But the difference real quick, Mike, The difference is real quick.
Is that Sea at that time is like twenty six
to twenty seven. You had Hartenstein who was starting. He's
twenty eight. Like they got at least some guys that
were your best players older, your best players twenty two
and win be first playoff.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
Go yeah, and most of the their best players are
under twenty five years old. Were talking about what Dylan
Harper's been able to do. We talked about what you know.
You talk about winby, you talk about all the players
that are really stepping up right now for that basketball team.
Of course, you talk about Stefan Castle, man, who's been
unbelievable in this series of Moss of the Court. You
talk about that core three right there alone, man has
(31:44):
been incredible, and like you said, they're not afraid.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
Man.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
I don't see any fear in their eyes. And Apram
can speak on this more so than anything as a
forman athlete, Man, there is an intangible man that comes
along with being an athlete. You can have all the
skills set in the world, man, but if you don't
have their heart to go along with it, man, you're
not gonna be the great player that you can beat.
These guys, that core group of guys, they have the
heart and they so when they got a nastiness to
(32:08):
them and they got a will. The fact that Stefan
Castle says, I expect in his second season, I expect
to win the next three. I expect even after they
beat us the first two games at home, I expect
us to come in there and win four straight. That
is what you want to hear out of players.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
Like that.
Speaker 5 (32:24):
I even though Winby has done some you know, some
kind of thirty stuff here and there, like marginal stuff
or whatever, throwing Jaylen Brunce to I like the nastiness
that he plays with. I would like to see the
Knicks come out with that same kind of fire, that
same kind of energy, that same kind of heart, that
same kind of fight tonight to protect their home court,
because once again I believe he's gonna win the series.
(32:46):
So yet to answer the question, Kevin, I'm not. I've
not seen anybody, for any team dickeng play this well,
with this type of tenacity, with this type of focus,
with that type of attitude, and man, look, if the
Knicks don't get it this year, if this first team
and this course sticks together, oh it's gonna be a
long time. Anybody can say that they're gonna have one
(33:07):
in the NBA because it's the Spurs era. Man, As
long as they stay healthy and they stay together and
don't go off, this is gonna be.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
A long right, We're gonna We're gonna end it here,
big dog. Appreciate you're starting to break up a little
bit at the end, but hey, we got you, man.
We appreciate it. I know for you, it's go New York, Go,
New York.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Go. We'll have the way and see about an hour
away from a tip off a game four. Appreciate you.
That boy from best in my Alabama. I don't wan't
nothing about know Nicks. He still reps in New York.
I love Mike hill Man. Oh yeah, great brother, the
co host of mine for many years. Known them for
as a colleague for a long time. Yeah, shout out
to Mike.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Great dude, man any quick just before we bring any
quick point from eithing, he said, you want to jump on?
Speaker 4 (33:49):
No, but I like it. It's made me. It made
me aware that I wasn't on the wrong page. No,
I don't think people will make all what I saw,
which was counter's counter to what the Knicks have become.
That's why it's stuck out. I'm like, oh, what's happening.
So as I'm watching him dribble the shot clock out
(34:12):
and taking these shots, I'm like, well, he's open. There's
no ball movement, no one's cutting. The cat is just
standing there, and I'm like, oh, this doesn't both this.
They played directly into the hands of the San Antonios purst.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Cat has to get fifteen to twenty shots. Cat has
to be the MVP of this finals. They can't guard him.
Nobody can guard him. He's two versatile, get to the hall,
mid range, jump up, dunk, free throws, three pointers. He's
and he has to be aggressed. It can't just be well,
the kind of low this is the Finals. I'll give
you a Tuesday night in January. This game, brother, we
(34:50):
got exactly so I expect him to come out and
show out tonight. Man, he's got to give me around
twenty four or fourteen that kind of game for him,
really good defense. Way he's gonna get no umbers, but
make it hard on him. That's what I expect to see.
But this is gonna be good when it hit last
point real quick.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
If mine. I don't know if I've ever seen stonecoke
killers that are twenty man twenty one. I mean Stefan Castle.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
It's like a seven year veteran the way he plays
and doesn't care and checks people ninety four feet talk smack,
runs over brunts and like what two year second year
veteran player I should say, runs over a guy like
a brunts and and what like whatever.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
I think it's it's the leadership, Victor Winman, I go
from maybe even top down, like the whole organization I'm
telling you is their best player is about that life
is and when that happens, you'll be surprised because now
you have to as an athlete, you have to live
up to a standard. That's true. If your best player
(35:48):
is about that life and you're not, that's a good
way to find another job. Not to mention when your
best player put the hitout, bro, you saw it, hey man,
Hey beyonbo, Hey, what's the other plump? We aren't even
the same plump. I don't even that moment changed that
whole series. That moment changed that whole series. At the
(36:09):
end of the game when this back bis Mac beyonbo
and and and plumb Plumbley went in there just laying
and cannon balled his back. Hey man, But look they
came out with a different level and intense of intensity
the next game starting with him. You watched that game three.
The first two plays were plays at the rim for
(36:31):
for Victor Woman.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
You the one thing he'll be interesting foul trouble, like
how the ref's gonna watch Wenby specifically because to Mike's point,
he's gotten away with a lot.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
League has let us something he hasn't gotten away with
a lot. They've gotten away with a lot on him.
That's the difference. If they call this thing like that,
the Knicks are really gonna be in trouble. I'm not
arguing with that, but I'm saying that one, that one
with We're we're putting a whole lot of emphasis on
the one why Big he would have been out a game, No,
(37:03):
he wouldn't have if he gets flat, if he would
have got another one, if that was a flagrant one,
if he would have got another one, then he would
have been suspended. He would still be playing right now,
even if that was upgraded to a flagrant, even with
the previous Yes, so what I'm telling what I'm telling.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
You, by the way, that was can we agree this?
Can we at least that was a flagrant? I loved
it though, No, I agree with that.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Yes. Did you see him laughing Brunson's face after he
did it? Yes? Man, guess what if that's your leader?
Oh we're good, I'm going going. I love the eighties
nineties feelings. Ewing was on the pregame show and he
was like, yeah, I love it. I wish somebody would
have done that the Stars. I would have yeah, but
(37:44):
Bill Lambert somewhere smiler in the rocket chair, Draymond Green himself.
Someone would have grabbed Steph Curry by the neck and
threw him down.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I'm getting kicked out together, which is interesting how the
Knicks responded. All right, we got to break here, direct
player of the day on the way plus uh and
somebody didn't get invited to the White House. We'll explain.
It's the couple of Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports Radio.
Shout out to Mike Hill, appreciate him joining us. It's
(38:15):
they couple kelvin Washington Ephram Sala, who's in for Rob
Robin joined some time away in New York City.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
But no, he is not at the Nick game.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
He's at the Mets game with his uh famine friends,
enjoying uh forty years in the business.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
So shout out to Rob forty years. How many you
gots twenty one? I have twenty nine, twenty nine, Yeah, forty.
But that's the good thing about what we do. Like
you now, being on this side, you had a date
for football. There was an expiration in at some point. Yeah,
this side of it, you thirty years. I can keep going. Yeah, yeah,
that's love it Look, it's it's it's fun. That's why
(38:51):
I've been doing it for so long. People think I
just jumped on the mic one time and then no,
I started in live team, right, So it's it's you know,
I'm seasoned. People like, man, you really, No, no, no,
it's I pride myself on being in the know all
(39:12):
sports because I like to work year round. A lot
of football guys have an all week, they have an offseason, right, No, no, no, no,
I'm going right into the NBA All Star I'm going
right into you know, baseball starting up spring training. I'm
going right into the playoffs, going right into the NBA Finals.
We'll talk the draft and a little you know, all
(39:35):
of that. I'm I'm I'm I love sports man, and
I wanted to be retired from football and have a
voice across sports. You know that's fun to me because
I am a fan. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
That's the key part too, man, I think and I
talked about this the reason why, like I picked I
picked the next ers from a basketball like what I think.
But then also I said, it's just great for hoops.
When New York Is start, they don't. They haven't been great.
They pop up every now to get a maze, okay
for a couple of years. So it's been great just
to see the atmosphere, to see the vibe the field
New York and uh and except for the copy we
(40:08):
talked about those idiots out there beating people up. That's
just crazy. But so for me as a fan of hoop,
when Madison Square Garden is rocking, it's it feels different.
And every sport has that thing. You know, in college basketball,
Duke is great, North Carolina great. You feel that the
Lakers are right, and the NIXT state is popular San
Diego A yeah, yeah, look, I can't say it in
(40:29):
Eastern Michigan. All right, real quick, let's get to this
track Player of the day.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Montgomery hits a fly ball pretty well deep.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
Left and he's wonted no chamshit way to run Homer.
It sounds like there was Game seven in the world.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Is it over?
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Did I miss so play? Right now? That felt like
the world?
Speaker 3 (40:56):
That's awesome though, White Sox Radio Network on the call there,
that was your Tyrack play of the day. And for
over forty years, Tyreck's been helping customers find the right
tires for how and for what and for where. They
drive ship fast and free back by free road has
