Yeah he does.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Fox Sports put out a little you know, one of
the videos on him posts something I saw the others like,
that's great. I don't know him, which, by the way,
it's crazy, I don't know him.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, well he works different nows he's a great guy.
You know.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
It's just nice to hear someone say Ben looks great
and not Aaron looks great throwing the chance a good point.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, Aaron looks great. I mean Ben looks great.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Hey, Hey, I tell you what you ever say, Tony
look great? Staring off in the distance like that. I'm
gonna know something. It's one thing to say it you
staring off and this saying Rob, do you know it
is when you can start going songar knows what saga.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Was at the Christmas party last year. Right, Aaron is
the greatest hostess going.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
She just did soccer here, Sager's here, Sager am I?

Speaker 6 (02:39):
Right?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Aaron is the best, the best.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
I'll tell you what. She's really cool, she's really dope.
I really enjoyed her company. But because you've been so
over yeah like that, I can't say how I really
feel because Rob's already made it.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
The minute I meet her. I'm a stutter. You died Hi?

Speaker 4 (02:59):
All right, here we go write it down, committed to
memory eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. For you, layman,
that's eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
And if you hear feedback on the line, it's your
own fault. It means only one thing.

Speaker 7 (03:13):
You forgot to turn down the radio.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
And if you're calling here and have a problem with
what we say to you, tough, because well.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
I'm talking to you the way I want to talk
to you.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Do you have a problem, turn off your station? That's right.
And with that said, always remember.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
The Odd Couple was filmed in front of a live audience.
Sweetie beaty, all right, let's go do big show.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Let me welcome and my co host he is Calvin Washington,
my dog. What up? Happy TV keeves on Thursday? You
know it is today?

Speaker 7 (03:50):
Right?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yes, yesterday my favorite one of all time. You were like,
it is a TV toe t have terrible trash talk
in Thursday Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It was bad. So let me add you cry yourself
to sleep last night. Nah, I didn't. You want to
know the gods on the shoe. I'll shocked on you
where they are.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Seriously, because you got you got Blake Snell on the mouth.
You know what I mean. It's a crucial game. You
win that, then you got to go to Toronto. Just
win one out of two and you repeat a chance.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
It's huge.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I can be a game off. I said six might
be seven. I honestly the reason why I wasn't so,
you know, like other people might have been mad. I
think even other people will feel closer to me. They
just look bad. They've looked bad offensively for a time
that You're just it's one of those sitting here with you.
I'm like this shitt' okay, gave up two, like you
got the whole. You're gonna give him up? Give him up? Now,
we got the rest of the game.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
It was two after the first three pitchers, So you say,
it's still a long game to gor They just they
look those bad I don't like to look.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I told Robbgie this last year when we were we were
doing our show. The Dodgers historically the last six seven
years have this look Mookie Freddy like, we're like, they
don't have that r or sometimes that fight like if
I'm going out, I'm going out. And I thought they
had that yet with the with the bringing in ta Oscar,
you know, keyk coming back some of the guys who

(05:05):
at least I'm a fight with, and I got a
little concern that they looked that little beat down. Look,
you know what I mean, We're just no, there's something
missing and I don't like that. That worries me more
than anything. All right, and we're gonna get into the Dodgers,
who are now down three games to two, Game six
into Toronto tomorrow night. Game seven if necessary, would be

(05:26):
on Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
All right.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Getting to getting a new job can be much easier
with Express Employment Professionals.

near a stud That's right, it's go to www dot
expresspros dot com. Let's welcome into the Odd Couple crew.

without him. Rob g is our producer, Mancy Belanos at

(06:00):

Speaker 2 (06:01):
She'll keep us updated throughout that.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Elijah is our social media guru.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
And Saga isn't even today. We don't normally see Saga
as well when Elijah's here, but he is, and.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Of course on the ones and twos, huh. And I
do want to say this real quickly. I normally don't
wear white after Labor Day, one of them, I am
one of them. But the weather's so nice out here.
It's in the nineties and sunny. It feels like summer.
So I just said I'll put it on one more

(06:39):
test fly, so you might be in New York and
going weather's gray and all that, and it's no almost November.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
He's got on a white jacket.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
It is beautiful here. It's like concerningly hot, so it is.
It'll cool down tomorrow, so Halloween will feel halloween ishh okay,
oh yeah, instead of being almost ninety upper upper eighties.
It'll be like set high as seventy seven.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Spill it out for the next five days. Since you're
going to four, they were going to cool down.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Will be a few degrees past our average that you
gonna sit with seven meter out just every day, all right, Hey,
rob g The Dodgers are in trouble or not that
some people might think they're right where.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
They want to be.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Last night they lose six to two, and for the
most part it looked feeble for the most part.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
In the playoffs is look feeble, guys, if you take
away the wild Card round over the Reds where they
just obliterate at Cincinnati. The Dodgers have hit just two
twenty four in the postseason, a massive drop off from
where they were almost forty points from when they were
in the regular season. In the World Series, they're hitting two.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
To oh one. That's a two to oh.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
One and two hundred without a single extra base hit
when they have runners in scoring positions.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
The Dodgers' bats have popped the Zanni and fallen a shack.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Hey, yo, not only that, can I give it to you?

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I'm here to proclaim to all Los Angeles Dodger fans
and all baseball fans in Baseball America that the Dodgers
are officially dead.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
D e A D dead. They are dead. I know
people are saying they're no way.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Mookie and Freddy and old Time He's gonna go out
like this.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
They just have to win two games. They can win
two games.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
They can turn it on a naked did you know,
start getting some hits and all that.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Have you watched them? That kid, that rookie yesterday, he
got the perfect name, last name, you save it, just
take out the Yeah, just called him savage, Savage.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
He was savage boy.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Twelve strikeouts and hitters one through four, one for fifteen
with eight strikeouts. Can I tell you, Kelvin that three
of those four hitters are en route to the Hall
of Fame. The only guy's Will Smith the catcher, all right,
but you know what I mean, right, the other three Otani, Mookie,

(09:20):
and Freddy are en route to the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
This kid made mince meat with them. He did he.
I can't nobody can defend defend it.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
But I just if you're buying into this idea that
some magical switch is gonna be flipped tomorrow. Yeah, Friday,
and all of a sudden, they're gonna get ten runs
and then they're gonna cruise win the next two games.
I don't think you've watched this series at all, because
not only and here's the saving grace.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yamamoto has been unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Yamamoto is going.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
To pitch a no hitter in the save the Dodgers season. Kelvin,
he getting the one bad pitch tomorrow and it might
cost him. That's how fragile the Dodgers' offense is. Yamamoto
gives up a two run bomb or a three run bomb,
that's it in the game, an era a walk and
somebody hit the three run bomb, and you say, that's it.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
That's all he gave up was the one home run.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
And the Dodgers might not be able to score four
runs because they haven't been able to do it.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Look, the reality is you ain't lying, and you know me,
I like to tell you when you're wrong, I like
to yell at you, but you ain't wrong when you're right.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
And I think what has happened is.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
The Dodgers starting pitching over the last month of the
season prior to the postseason was a Sophora miss Mary Mack.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
It was a Mac counter.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
You know how to Mac counter get with the ladies,
the makeup counter at Mac.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
You know how sephoria is with the ladies.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
It was a makeup that masked how bad there A
Fence had been because they were so spectacular. Blake Snail
was Andrew most of the year, got back in the
Formamoto who knows what his record would have been if
he got some more run support. You you know his
season and there again is what I'm talking about, and
I'll give you that. So throughout the season Yamamoto record

(11:11):
could have he might have been sign and if he
could get more run support that he got horrible and
the bullpen did him in so much throughout the season.
Then you got Oltani getting ready going and Glassdow gets
back healthy. Point is they massed the offensive woes. And
one thing I've kept saying while I picked the Dodgers,
you gotta at least give it to me. I kept

(11:31):
a real said their offense has been terrible. They just
have gotten timely hits. That's all I've said, meaning like
there have been in these two to two games, and
then they get will Smith will hit the one or
somebody will get a double or something, and then they'll
win three to one or three two. And so I've
been fully aware the Dolphins hadn't been great. They've just
gotten timely hits, which they haven't got as of recent
The reason why they're still in this thing is what

(11:54):
you said.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's because of Yamamoto.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
He has been spectacular all season long and he has
to go again.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
And he's the guy.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
If there was you could say, we're putting this entire
team on your back in the whole city, it's him.
He's gone complete games twice in this postseason, might have
to be thrice. And if he goes and does what
he does, even if he gives up two, you got
a shot. If this were anyone else, I will be saying, Man, Mary,
cue up the you know the song, it's all over.
It's a rap, But today he gives them hoping. And

(12:24):
once you get into grade seven it's a crapshoot. Anything
can happen. But he is the singular reason why I
go they've got a chance. He's been spectacular. Two complete games.
Maybe he doesn't go complete, maybe gives you eight, but
he can do that. Somebody has. The offense has been disrespectful.
The offense has to be offended. You look at it.

(12:44):
Mooki was terrible this year except for the last month.
Remember that he had amazing I think he was offensive.
I think it was Player of the Month? Was it
September of August? Up until the end, A lot of
the guys hadn't been spectacular. Now is the chance to
do that. But more importantly, Yamamoto is this singular reason
why I still have hope.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Seriously, if it were glass night.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Was up, I'm like, nah Robinson Ratt and he's been
great too, But nahv erat Yamamoto is the reason why.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
It's real simple eight seven, seven ninety nine. On Fox,
we want you to get involved. We want to hear
from you. Are the Dodgers dead in the water. There's
no doubt. I'm telling there's no life there. Yesterday at
home with Snell on the mound, there was enough motivation.
You already know they couldn't get it going for that

(13:31):
against the rookie pitcher, and they're gonna go into Toronto.
Kelvin still thinks there's hope. I'm not on that glass
or if rises from the dead, I'm not on that
at all. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. It
is The Odd Couple on a TV theme song Thursday,
Rob Parker, kelvin Washington right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
And you know what you need to do?

Speaker 1 (13:54):

hate the Dodgers in the US of A.

Who's that? Be?

they're gonna rise from to day.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
What say you?

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, We got Let's

Sports Radio. What's up Sean?

Speaker 9 (15:24):
Oh my gosh, my uncle from another mother cousin Kelthy
and my brother's behind the board.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
What up?

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Mary?

Speaker 7 (15:31):
Here?

Speaker 9 (15:32):
I am Mounty Hatton hand unk on behalf of all
the odd mob, all your Twitter haters, all your Instagram haters,
everybody who said you was sugar. At the beginning of
the series Shooting the Blue Jays, I apologized I was wrong.
And on top of all that, oh god, I lost
the bed.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
That's right here we go.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
Oh Ken, help me out?

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Ut wait a minute, it ain't no.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, we got Let's wait till monday. Let's wait till monday.
It's over. I'm with you, Sean, but we'll do the
singing on Monday, me and you together.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Now, Sean, make sure you come back on Monday. We're
to comebackb You was right. I didn't see it coming.

Speaker 6 (16:15):
You know, you know, if you know, if they come back,
I'm gonna be on here talking the most messed to us.
Yesterday I told.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Rod Sean, I don't like a defeated Look. I don't
mind you losing, right, as is part of the game
in any sports. I don't like it defeated.

Speaker 9 (16:32):
Looking so stinky up there. Man, he went from everything.

Speaker 6 (16:35):
Oh my god, look at him checking all of his
notes in his back pocket.

Speaker 10 (16:38):
So what was he doing with those first two pitches?

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Come on, man, we need a little.

Speaker 9 (16:42):
More life up there.

Speaker 7 (16:43):
On the mountain.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
I know.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Before thanks, Sean, appreciate it. Before people even settled into
their seats at Dodna Stadium, people came down the score
the scoreboards brokeuse mouth. Farty says too. Yeah, no, they
hit a couple of home runs while you were getting popcorn.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Rodney in Michigan. Again, you're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Rodney?

Speaker 6 (17:04):
How you doing?

Speaker 1 (17:05):
I love your show.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 11 (17:08):
Yes, So I listen to a fair amount of sports
talk radio and it always just blows my mind. It's
like everything is great when you win, and everything is
awful when you lose. And it's kind of happening to
the Dodgers. It's I wouldn't be frised if they come
back and win two games in Toronto. All they have
to do is when the next game and then it
is complete crapshoot. So they won it last.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Year, Rodney, I hear you, but I'm just saying, you've
been watching the games seriously, like this swings.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Like like seriously. And here's the other thing.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I agree that the Dodgers could start hitting, but the
Blue Jays haven't stopped hitting. They're averaging six and a
half runs, Rodney, and baseball you know how many runs?

Speaker 2 (17:48):
That is a game that's incredible for postseason.

Speaker 11 (17:52):
It doesn't happen postseason. It's been like nothing I can
I don't know the stats, but yeah, it has been amazing.
But you know, as in all sports, flipping a.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Dime, Rodney, Rodney, you know what your problem is? Your
rational see you make sense. You're a nuanced human being
trying to resonate with you, Rodney. Maybe it's a Michigan's Rodney.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Thanks. Maybe that's what it is. Appreciate it, thank you.
It ain't over.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
It ain't over, Monzie Ray nl Passo, you're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Ray?

Speaker 2 (18:22):
That was?

Speaker 7 (18:23):
Love your show and listen to it every day. You
always know how to ignite the fire. Roub. It ain't over, Rob,
it ain't over. A diehard Dodger fan from since I
was five years old, I'll tell you what. It's not
a postseason, it's not a series. It's not anything but
two games we can go. They're gonna go in there.

(18:44):
And they had a long night, they had a long
plane ride, they had a day to get over it.
They washed it away, forget about it. Two things One.
The last team to win Game six and seven on
the road and become back to back World champions, the
Toronto Blue Jays, the team they're gonna show days at Voo.

(19:04):
The last four World Series championships the Dodgers won twenty four,
twenty eighty eight, eighty one. We're all one on the road.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
That all sounds good.

Speaker 7 (19:13):
Two games, Rob, It's only two games.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
I hear you Rays right, this is but Ray, this
is your team you watch. You must admit offensively, it's
been since September they really haven't hit.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
And it was it was covered covered up because right
there pitching was so good, so they were winning. You
didn't care that they really weren't hitting. Can you at
least acknowledge that they haven't hit?

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Right? I don't know. Did you lose all right? What
he was gonna say?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Yeah, But that's the point Yamamoto can go and all
they need is a few time to hit?

Speaker 3 (19:48):
All?

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Is this anomaly? And Idaho, you're on the you're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
What's up? Anomaly? How are you?

Speaker 6 (19:57):
I am good?

Speaker 9 (19:58):
Let me just get this out of do I listen
to you guys every day because your show?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Damn say it again again, we're so damn what we
didn't hear it?

Speaker 9 (20:10):
Yes, so damn good?

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Oh thank you Locke his number ennomally no anomaly.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
We appreciate that because you know what, Kelvin and I
we take pride in the radio show we do and
we want to be fun and informative and we hope
that you enjoy the show we do. So thank you
and I hope it's calling an anomaly. Help more people
feel the same way.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
That's right. You know he might have had a point.
Got Yeah, who's winning?

Speaker 1 (20:36):
This?

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Is it over for the Dodgers?

Speaker 9 (20:39):
No, No, I'm on a Waukee Brewers fan, but I'm
also a sports and a baseball fan.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Yep.

Speaker 10 (20:46):
Just when you think it's.

Speaker 9 (20:48):
Over, I want a game seven. That's what I want.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Oh man, if you're a Toronto Blue Jays fan, you
don't want no game seven.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
You want this thing to be over soon. I hear you.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Game seven would be great, But in the game seven,
anybody can win.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
You can have a bad night. Something happened.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
A ball hit a pebble over four for a ball
hit of pebble, go under your legs, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
And before you know it, anomaly. You're in trouble. So
I get it. Thanks for the call. Appreciate appreciate it
all right. They can squeeze it the way.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
One more in New Orleans. I can't see this and
New Orleans that is nobody. This it is is his name. Now,
MJ's our man, MJ. MJ. Let's do it quickly. You're
in they couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? MJ man.

Speaker 10 (21:30):
What's going on?

Speaker 7 (21:31):
Rob?

Speaker 10 (21:31):
No way, no how here not dead or in the water.
Because Rob farsterclimed in the skip drip Baily, here's a scenario.
Magic call still flies him in the Drake Lands. Who
works with them? Mast Blue? They also put Timer Lamar
on the pjsspired them with today, not us like us

(21:52):
Friday Game six. That's too big, Blue, stop playing there
we go.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
He said that with a handful of Nye's and some crawfish.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
They better use Thoseph's bats on Friday. You know they
got some food. They got some voodoo down there in
New Orleans too. The Dodgers might need to do a
little voodoo on the Blue Jays bats right now.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
All right, one, let me get my voodoo doll. I'm
gonna start sticking to him. J though alone all the way,
Leave that alone. Thank God, alex Is they got God.
I just say, I don't even know what I said.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
All right, Rob g we talked a little bit about this.
We got some football tonight and spectacular player is coming back.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Thank god. That's right.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Everybody's rejoicing, including the TV executives because Lamar.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Jackson is back. You ain't lying about that.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Should have been three time MVP. We'll make his return
under some still Chase over that I can tell, Chase.
I could tell I know you were walking funny when
you went to the hallway. That's what I'm talking about.
Now he's back, just in time. Because this stat's gonna
blow your mind.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Guys.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
Teams that start one in five, which the Ravens did
before they won last week against Chicago, have a historically
one percent chance of making the postseason NFL history, one
percent of teams start one to five make the postseason.
But if there is any silver lining, it is number
one Lamar Jackson's back and number two. If you look

(23:28):
at Lamar Jackson's history as a quarterback, got a lot
of reasons for optis a number one as a starter.
Lamar Jackson wins games at right around a seventy percent clip.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
Which is incredible, which is like it is it really
really is?

Speaker 5 (23:45):
Your favorite quarterback is not winning at a seventy percent clip?

Speaker 2 (23:47):
No, Okay.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Even more importantly, when you get to the second half
of the season, in this case Week nine and on,
Lamar Jackson doesn't win at a seventy per cent clip,
he wins it an eighty percent clip.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Listen to this. If the Baltimore.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Ravens finish the season winning at an eighty percent clip,
which is what Lamar Jackson does, they will have won
ten games this season and most likely would be in
the postseason.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
You betting on that, Gentlemen.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Close, But no cigar, they get a game out, game
game and a half out. Make it close to last week.
Think their last game is against this is it?

Speaker 2 (24:29):
The Steales have to.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Look it up again. But I think they'll be close.
I think he'll make a great run of it. I
think they'll lose a game of two that we do.
You feel like they were in and they shouldn't have lost,
similar to Buffalo, and I don't think it'll be his fault.
I think the defense will just let up a game. Yeah,
I knew it was Steelers. Okay, So that's a tough
go at the end at Packers at Steelers. Tough to
on the road against obviously what we think the Packers

(24:53):
should be good. You got them going to the super
Bowl and then the Steelers who will be fighting for
their playoff lives and division lives as well. So I
think they'll get very very close. I think Lamorro will
make a heck of a run of it. I just
don't buy into the totality of the team. I don't
think they're running the ball enough with Henry, and I
think the defense will let them down. But I think
it'll be a great show to be great for football.
Great Lamorro will be spectaculars always, but they'll fall short,

(25:15):
but it'll be a fun ride to see them get there.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
No, I think they'll get there. I just think that
team was awful. Should have won two of the first
few games that they actually played. Derek Henry had uncharacteristically
fumble bad fumbles that cost them game in the fourth quarter,
games that they should have won.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
So they agree. So they shouldn't be one and five, right,
they should.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
Be like three and three and two or three and three,
like three and three right if they win those two games,
and it's a whole different conversation. And then they had
some injuries, which is part of football, and I think
those guys coming back their defense.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
You picked them for the Super Bowl. I picked them
for the Super Bowl because we looked at the personnel.
They didn't play to their resumes. They played down they
they were awful to start the season. You get those
guys back, you start winning, you put together a little
winning streak, rob g Last year, didn't they After they
got off to the zero to two start, they won, Like.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
They went five straight off the bat, five straight and
then they you know, they were able to turn it on.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
I think that they have a chance to really get
there and and win out or win how many games
you got left?

Speaker 10 (26:24):
Ten?

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Yeah, like they could win ten or go nine and one.
I don't think that's impossible. And uh, that win that
they got over since that was huge because because if
you lose that game, I think you're really in a
tough spot. That game helped because it was a game

(26:45):
you were able to win without Lamar. And now you
put them back in Chicago, right because the Jets have
beaten the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
What did you say his winning percentage was a game.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
As a starter percentage just about seventy sixty nine eight
something like that.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
That's that's seven.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
And then in the week nine on eighty he wins
at an eighty percent clip.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
The only reason I say that because he's been insane
and that sounds about right, like he was one of
those Pensilmanhan for no can.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Tells you how slow he starts that if he has
an eighty percent clip in.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
This last year, me and Rob they started going to
we both went well the playoffs, right right, I have
looking at this, correct me if I'm wrong, Patrick Mahomes,
that is seventy eight point two percent winning percentage.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
He I mean, he's the outlier for every stat Yeah,
basically because I'm like, I don't remember him losing a lot,
like you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
That's so that's crazy right there, because I thought Lamar
would be.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
At one point, Lamar was, and then I think last
season's fifteen and two that might might have really pushed.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
That could have did it. But I just think I'm
trying to pull up.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
The and we have a factored in the calls that
they get to get the fresh four downs.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
I'm just saying, well, Lamar need to get somebody. You guys.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
You guys both mentioned the defense though, right, because everybody
has you both even if Calvin says no and Rob
said this.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
It's not because of Lamar, you guys are No.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
I do think that they had the right I think
they had the paces coming into the season.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
That's why so many people picked sure.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
But if there is a pushback you mentioned it, Dub,
it's because of the defense, right, Yes, first five weeks
of the season they were giving up thirty five and
a half points a game.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Yeah, it was brutal, horrible.

Speaker 5 (28:16):
They were right there with the Cowboys and the Bengals
worst defensive football. Last two weeks now there's only two
weeks and it was against the Rams, who I don't
know if they needed to show everything and Pukakua got
hurt in that game.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah, but that was a good one, and you know
they lost that game.

Speaker 5 (28:29):
And against Chicago, who Caleb Williams has been up and
down all season, but.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
They had the last four games in a row of
Chicago coming in.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
They went from giving up thirty five and a half
points a game to sixteen and a half points a game.
So if maybe you split the difference, can Lamar and
that offense get you twenty six twenty No.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
The reason why Rob gall still don't believe I think
they're gonna lose a game, even if the defense was solid.
I don't trust the whole, meaning the running game, the
passing game, and more importantly, decision making between John Harball
Lamar like clutch type of things, not just simply his play.
And it's just I don't trust the whole to win
every game that they would need to. I think they'll

(29:06):
get close, and looking at their schedule there that's a
bit favorable, right. The Dolphins aren't great, The Vikings are
no longer what they we thought they would be. The
defense is not a great now. The Browns would be
one of them competitive games just because it's a divisional
game and Miles Garrett is good. Uh, the Jets, I
think they'll be fine. The Bengals will be interesting. They'll
host the Bengals, but that'll be interesting. Then Steelers, then

(29:28):
Bengals again, and then uh, Patriots will be a tough one.
Packers will be a tough one. Steal that last three
will be tough, but at Patriots.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
But but you have to do that.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
And we saw this team and I go back to
that Christmas Day game, Christmas Night game, forty nine Ers
against the forty nine ers, like that was Remember that
was a two years ago that was the big game.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
They need to go to San Francisco. Remember, uh, he
balled out big time. That's when he won the MVP.
Party was like, dang, he stole it from me. He
just took you look at that. Let me get that
play let exactly.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
I'm sorry. I'm telling cute you had? You thought you
I was so cute you thought you had because going
in everybody had brock party? Am I right as the
m v P.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
And then Lamar put on a show that night that
everybody saw. And you know how that is a national game.
Everybody sees and they're like, oh, this guy's a stud.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
So I think they'll win six to seven? All right,
So last before we wrap it. I don't think that'll
be enough whether or not they make the postseason. Do
you think this time tomorrow everybody's gonna be back on
the Ravens train. Lamar's back standalone game Thursday night. No, No,
because of their not them. It will be that they
beat the Dolphins, gotcha, you get what I mean. It

(30:37):
won't be because everybody's gonna go all they beat the
Dolphins had it been the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
So when the Lions beat those bad teams, doesn't matter
because you know, like they beat them like a drum
and you gotta plays on the schedule.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
No, the Lions are two and five. No, no, no, no, no,
how long. No.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
But I'm just saying, you got the Dolphins are on
the schedule. If they come out and play a really
good game and Lamar throws, I'm just saying, you go,
Now they've won another game.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Now they got their quarterback back. Now their defense gave
up less than twenty points. You know, you start to
look at it.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
It could have.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
That's a lot of other not great teams, not the Dolphins.
I disagree, all right. We love to disagree, all right.
On the way shekyl City player of the day and
somebody has been balling out of their mind. Did they
earn a bigger, bigger salary on the contract? We'll talk
about the next day. It is the O Cuple Robin
Kelvin Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Ben Ben Quincy, Jones, Yeah Man, Quick listen, Austin Powers,
Quincy Jones like Quincy Jones is thriller of the whole
album Quincy Jones, I think.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
The one that really shocked me because Quincy Jones, obviously
there is a musical genius and all that stuff he
did like Padula Clark stuff like or what maybe it's
uh uh it's my party.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
I'll cry if I want to. Was positive that Tony
Jones did that. Quincy's bag was crazy. For those who
don't know, God bless the legend. Go check check out
his stuff, all right at couple Robin Kelvin on a
TV things on Thursday, responsible for the first Prince so
as well. So just yeah, what amazing career Quincy Jones
at all right? Uh A lot happened in this last hour.

(32:23):
If you didn't get a chance, go check out the podcast.
As always, Rob g working hard on that right now,
it's time for it. Shekel City and that was Leslie Gore.
That's where I met the club Leslie Gore. It's my
party and Quincy produced that so and that's a huge hit.
Not to mention all the Frank Sinatra brought him back.
It's just Quincy's is crazy. Yes, all right, Checko City.

(32:47):
Uh only one and two last night.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Okay, but the Dodger Blue Jay's one was the one,
so I'll take that one that bad.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Yes, I got that one right, not rob G. No,
I don't root for anything. No, I don't have a
rooting intro.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
What I say all the time, I'm rooting for my
pick to be right.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
I'm not losing no sleep, even though I was pretty
happy last week.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
All right, one and two last night total fifty five
and fifty two.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
I got the Ravens minus seven and a half taken
on the Dolphins in Miami. Yep, minus seven and a half.
He just got back in. I know, minus seven and
a half, more than a touchdown. I got Orlando minus
two and a half. They're off to a bad start.
They desperately need to win. They were in Charlotte taking
on the Hornets.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
That's good, and I know Wimby and the Spurs are
undefeated at four and oh, but I got the Miami
Heat plus six and a half.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
They lose, but keep it close Miami, he'd have been
pretty solid plus six and a half.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
So again, Miami plus six and a half, Orlando minus
two and a half, and the Ravens minus seven and
a half. And remember, Kelvin, I'm not telling you who
to bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on.
All right, tire Reck player of the day now with
five with Thom Costant Dona by guys to win the game,

(34:09):
to win the game, what the winner?

Speaker 1 (34:14):
They are doing, what they are does, gets into the
paint and all that celebration that the Timberwolves you're doing
six seconds ago, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Doing that, Spectrum Networks.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
There you have, of course, the Tyreright player of the day,
Austin Reeves get a game winner again.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
It was in the playoffs last year. Yep.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Over forty years, tire Rex has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
At least shift fat you are brand Muffin and ship
fast and free back by free Road has a protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tirereck dot Com.
The way tied buying should be a couple of minutes left.
But he listen, lebron out. We already knew that Luca

(34:50):
goes down with the finger whatever for you know, a
week or so he's going to be out. Man.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
This kid is going crazy. Austin Reeves and you talk.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
About perfect time in the life, and you're like, lurd,
let me do it the right t It's a contract
year fifty one and eleven then follow with forty one.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Yeah, but people remember him in the postseason and that,
and I think that's what hurted him because had he
had a decent postseason, remember, they.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Would have got a contract, they would have got a deal.
Remember they offered him a low ball. Then they offer
him a low ball deal.

Speaker 5 (35:20):
They offered him the most they could offer. But it's
only like twenty million a year.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Right, But that's what I'm saying. But it wasn't like
enough for him to be he about to get a
thirty piece. Yeah, I don't know if it's gonna be
with the Lakers, but but yeah, and that would be
with the Lakers. That's the decision they have to decide.
Do you think he is a number two to go
with Luca once Lebron leaves? And meaning, all right, now
we got our reset. These are our guys along the
other piece and can you I need to see more.

(35:45):
I just need to see more about three.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Years though, so meaning I hear what you say, you
either ate or out at this point to me like, yeah,
I know, if you're telling me right now, I gotta
sign him right now. I'm out, okay, And that's fine,
and that's fair because I don't think I think Austin
Reeves is a out right now, what you're seeing, that's
gonna be Austin Reeves period. Like if you love that,
then you're in. If you don't, you don't for me

(36:08):
for what you're paying guys in the NBA. Now, I'm
comfortable paying him that because one of the things the Lakers,
for some odd reason, they just are against.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Maybe you can help me out, rob Geez, just that's
your squad.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
They do not want to get guys who can create
their own shots, and Austin Reeds is at least a
guy know can create his own shot and also create
if you're other.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
He had twenty eight and sixteen assists last night.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
And those don't just fly on you know, those are
just running around and they're not you know, just flapping
around on trees.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Last year's postseason didn't bother you, because if you remember,
everybody was like going into the playoffs and robbed you.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
You're a Laker fan. Oh they got.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Three, the Big three, and they were like after that postseason,
it was like, no, they don't have three. Here's why
I get your sin. That's why I said, I'm not
mad if you're out. The only thing I would say
if if you're Rob Plinke, is that you didn't get
the best version of Luca. He was overweighting and unhealthy.
And I think you're looking forward to the future where
you go. He'll be able to do more once Lebron

(37:04):
is gonna meeting. All right, the chip, the balls in
your hands, in Luca's hand. This is your squad. But
the only way you can earn some money is by
playing great, and he's done that thus far this first
week or so of the NBA season.
