The US got blowed out.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Alex rob g Elijah st we all witnessed this yesterday.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
The backle that it was because it was a debacle. Hey,
you ain't even welcome in the crew yet. All right,
that's gonna calm down, all right, I got.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Somewhere to do. That thought that was hand sanitizing our
baby oil. Relax over that I need baby oil cigarettes.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
I swapped this out of hand sanitize it to baby oil.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
You didn't know that it was city here I did.
I don't staring me in the face. Well, I got
my own over here, just regular old hand sanitiz Yeah,
let me let me. You never know it's hand sanitized
over here. All right, it's a commercial. I use perille.
I'm not gonna lie. I have so many jokes because
(04:40):
not that the Jans are flying, but more so you
a little early?
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Why early?
Speaker 10 (04:45):

Speaker 1 (04:46):
You know what I'm talking about? What you know what

that sheepish A little gee? What did you talking?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
You w trouble out here in these streets? People texting?
People hit me up late, I gotta are you up?
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Text?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Let me tell you something I told Rob is already.
Don't give me that look defying. I don't want you
to defy it.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Look, I got three calls Texas at six am Los
Angeles time. Oh yeah, barely rolling over. So yeah, we'll

do this fine radio program without him. Rob G is
(05:32):
our producer, Bud Mexican and sub rob G. Alex is
our engineer. A behind the curtain, Alex one more time, please.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Behind the curtain.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I don't like the juice I'm seeing right now.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Steve just sad right now.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Of course, Steve de Seger's at the anchor desk. Hey Steve,
he'll keep us updated throughout the program. And of course
Elijah our social media guru. All right, hey, rob G,
we should say this that you should check us out,
of course on YouTube, because we have our own channel.
(06:11):
Just search Odd Couple FSR on YouTube again, search Odd
Couple FSR and hit that subscribe.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Button through that and join in to all the fun.
All right, rob G. We watched it. It was a
blow they got blowed out.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
It was embarrassing if I saw embarrassing like typed a
million times on social media.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Even just for a penny. I mean, my god, because
that's all we heard, rob g I mean that's putting
it lightly. We talked about all throughout the show.
Speaker 11 (06:39):
You know, it was a big controversy coming in, like, hey,
is baally gtting gonna play?
Speaker 2 (06:42):
You're not gonna play.
Speaker 11 (06:43):
And then President Trump gets involved, FIFA gets involved, the
red card is suspended, the best player is gonna play.
It's all setting up for USA to have this triumphant
win on home soil, advanced to the round of eight,
and instead, not only do they not win, they got
smacked like the junior varsity, like they had no business
being on the field with those guys. They lose four
(07:04):
to one and it wasn't even that close. If that
doesn't any justice and if there's the insults injury to
add to this whole situation. Fox put out the numbers
earlier this afternoon, Big numbers. Over thirty million people tuned
in to watch that debacle, peaking at over thirty eight million,
making it the most watched soccer match in the history
(07:24):
of America.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
All to watch us. We the bed big weight And
for me, yeah, you've heard the song is this on?
It's on.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
You've heard of America the Beautiful, Right, that was America
the Booty because it was stinky. There's nothing else you
could do but America the Booty. And let me tell
you this for all you people who tried to talk yourself,
this is what we do in this country. Try to
elevate us and think we're better than other people around
(07:55):
the world.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
And no matter what the situation or circumstance.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Yeah, it's in the United States, right, they're playing a
home game, Yeah in Seattle. Yes, Fox has the coverage.
Oh yeah, the World Cup. This is our oyster. We're
finally gonna arrive. Everyone in America is gonna watch it.
And before this is all done, the US might win
a World Cup and all the little boys all and
(08:23):
girls all over the country are gonna turn the soccer
and go, you know what, this is a sport. We
finally got it. All the promises that have been made
to me since I was a kid about how soccer
was gonna take over the sports world, and you know
what we got us. Men's soccer is as phony as
(08:44):
a three dollar bill. And every single time they come
up against the best of the best in the World
Cup action, they flame out, they turn in a bad job,
they turned to Google. That's what happened yesterday, Alex rob
(09:08):
g Elijah, Steve Desaga, Kelvin Washington. You guys were on
the edge of your seat. And it wasn't because you
had to go to the bathroom. You really were like, Oh, yeah,
I can't wait. We got our best player, one of
our best players back. This is gonna be incredible. That
thing was over in two minutes.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
This was your.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
First night alone with a young woman in high school.
I'm just saying it was over quickly, very quickly, and
an embarrassing fashion.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
And once again you were duped America.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
You got duped into buying that something different was happening
because of the home field advantage, because of all the hoopla,
because of what happened prior to the other rounds.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
When it came time to play the best of the best.
I'd beat the United States earlier in a exhibition five to.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Two, and they stopped the US four to one in
this game when it mattered the most, it was uncle.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Yeah. I think.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Only thing I'll say, I think you're mixing up hopeful
with like, I don't think anybody was like, Oh, this
is the year we're gonna get it done and we're
about to beat everybody was more so. This could be
because of reason X, Y and Z you were hopeful
this year. But to me, I looked at it like this,
first off, you ever remembered you that club that been
in your neighborhood for years. Everybody's like, yo, the DJ's lit,
(10:32):
it's got a great view of the rooftop in LA
the girls are great to drink. You gotta go to
this club is great. To me, that club was the
World Cup and everybody else in the world knows about it.
Everybody else goes, they enjoy it, and we're a little late.
We I don't want to go. I got work tomorrow,
got the kids. We never really participated in this club.
And you finally go and you meet a girl and
(10:52):
you're going back and forth with her, you're messaging, you're texting,
all that good stuff, and you got left on Red.
And that's to me America leaving the fans of American
fans on Red. I meaning this was the moment we
finally at this club. We're checking it out. The ambience
is great, the flow is great. We're all in the
DJ's banging. We're about to dance, and you left me
on red. Everybody was all in. This is the first
(11:12):
time in my life I'm getting text from certain people,
Oh ya you watching match?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Or Yo, what you got up for this weekend? We
might go watch some games.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
And I think the World Cup in and of itself
was bigger than the American team. People have enjoyed the
World Cup more so than specifically this American receiven I
think that's a compliment to the World Cup living up
to the hype, all these star players living up to
the hype. America itself did not. Again, everything was there
for your taking. This was supposed to be the easiest
(11:40):
bracket that we've had, the easiest go at it. We
even got the President jumping in and giving us our
guy back, right, allegedly getting our guy back. And then,
of course this is on home soil, North America. We're
playing up in Seattle, soiled. Everything was there for the taking,
and they wet the bed, They let us down, They
left us on red, they didn't come to the club
(12:01):
with us. That is popping. The World Cup has been popping.
I'm telling you now, I've not watched this much. I've
been watching so many other teams. Mexico that was a
great one, and shout out to Mexico because the difference
with them losing.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
They fought against England.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
They fought, they fell out on the sword, and Mexican
fans were like yo, even though they're sad, they were
like wow. They fought hard and competed to the very end.
We got blowed out. As you said, from the very beginning,
we didn't even compete. We looked black then less than
we look like we just weren't supposed to be out there.
We looked like we left our real team on a plane.
We had to send a JV team. And so I
(12:36):
think that's the biggest letdown is you don't mind the
loss it happens, but it's also how you lose. Like man,
we just did not look like there was any growth
against the best teams, and it was all for the taking,
an opportunity to really advance, and we didn't do it.
We got left on red. Thought we were vibing, thought
we were in a little something. Some thought we was
about to see what's up with us? And they left
(12:56):
us on red rob And it's to me a massive
loss of opportun unity. The World Cup has been spectacular,
the coverage, the games, the other stars. I talk about
it with Alex all the time, all the stars that
I've always heard, the names that you see, the commercials
that you're not not what the people here.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
In this country care about. I'm sorry, no, I'm not.
This was this was sold a bill. You guys sold
a bill of goods. I'm totally in agreement with that.
I'm not saying That's what makes it messed up is
that the World Cup has been amazing, and it's gotten
the attention of a lot of people who are a
typically into it. And then the addition to it was
supposed to be and the American team might finally advance
(13:32):
passed around of sixteen.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
And they didn't.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
They were terrible and they didn't even look like they
could compete. And it puts you right back in square
one where here we are, gay, who's going to be
the next round?
Speaker 6 (13:41):
All right?
Speaker 5 (13:42):

You're on the odd couple Fox Sportuadio. What's up, James?
Speaker 2 (17:44):
How are you?
Speaker 13 (17:46):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (17:46):
Thank you taking my call. Gentlemen, Happy Tuesday, big time,
all the time, every time.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
We'll appreciate you on a trash talking Tuesday.
Speaker 10 (17:53):
Right, you already know Man s Luta commanders.
Speaker 7 (17:57):
Man.
Speaker 10 (17:57):
I do not think it was spughezy man, because up
to last night the USA team was the aggressor. They
were scoring goals, they were moving the ball, they were
the intimidators.
Speaker 13 (18:07):
Last night though they looked like they.
Speaker 10 (18:09):
Were being intimidated. Man Julistic did not look like himself.
Ballaghan rarely got his foot on the ball. They were
not going up to lose falls. They weren't wearing balls
in the defensive end, and they weren't attacking the offensive end.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
It had been nice to see Pa.
Speaker 10 (18:23):
Say Berhoals had come in a little early because their
energy was through the roof. I don't know where everybody
else's energy was, but they were blackbuster, to say the least.
Speaker 13 (18:32):
Man.
Speaker 10 (18:33):
It was devastating to watch them play that game like
that because of everything leading up to that moment, because
this was probably our best chance outside of the one
quarter final on the early two thousands.
Speaker 13 (18:44):
Man in the ninety fourteen.
Speaker 10 (18:46):
But last night, man, they they were not the team
that we saw leading up to that game, and they
were just being intimidated like they were the little brother
last night. I appreciate y'all taking it out and have
a wonderful night.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Did not show up.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
It was definitely Starks what I'm saying, Alex.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
I know he was injured, but bro, you got to show.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
Up injured after taking six months off to prep for it.
Good job, Budd, Yeah, I needed him to show up
in America. This could have been the moment, right. You
haven't really done much in the tournament. If he shows up,
you go all right, Look there he is our best player,
was not really our best player most of this tournament
and got all of it.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
Sean, Sean and Sacramento, you're in the odd couple, Fox.
Speaker 13 (19:24):
Yeah, yeah, my uncle from another mother because o Kelby,
my brother's behind the board. Oh belgy man, what hoping
it up? Shout out say he shout out. Belgium man,
But look, this is exactly what's supposed to happen if
the community college team makes the NCAA tournament. Even if
(19:46):
they're playing at the community college, they still taking that. Hell,
they're not true to this, They're new to this. What
happened last World Cup out during qualifiers? What happened to
the prior World Cup out in around the thirty two hours?
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Though?
Speaker 13 (19:58):
Who time it is with this team?
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Man?
Speaker 13 (19:59):
We always get hype every four years. Then what happens
We get our heart broke? We say, hey, what's going
on with football? What's going on with basketball? The United
States will never be a powerhouse because they just don't
have the discipline as they don't have the talent. Sorry
to everybody listening, but Rob Parker was right again.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
There you go, my man, Sean eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Who what was you right about? What about them getting
blowed out? I told you what happened. I Caesar wanted
it to happen in Indiana.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio, held Caesar,
what's up?
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Give me your passport?
Speaker 4 (20:32):
Hey guy, Hey guys, Hey, so I didn't watch that
lame coverage on Fox. I'm sorry I wished it on Telemundo. Okay,
fashion for the way that they cover the game. Different,
just different, I wanted to say, Man, So we had
thirty eight million people watching it on Fox, but then
you had millions and millions bar watch it on Telemundo.
(20:53):
And you know what, we looked like, seventeen in the
world versus number nine in the world against Belgium class.
Speaker 6 (21:01):
Yeah, and like you guys were.
Speaker 14 (21:02):
Saying, Pulla Chick didn't show up.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
He took a rockter spot from a young kid, Diego Luna,
who was all over the commercials, who helped him qualify
for this thing, and he got snubbed for Pula Chick
and then he didn't show up. I didn't see nothing
from him.
Speaker 14 (21:20):
You know where where we're we're an older team when
we want to keep our stars too long. He didn't
have a good season going into this, he took all
that time off, he was hurt, and he just didn't
show up.
Speaker 13 (21:31):
Man, it was bad.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
Form for us.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
It was bad.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
I was disappointed. I expected more, like you guys said,
at least Mexico they had a competitive game. We didn't
even we showed up.
Speaker 14 (21:44):
Like we we came out of the group.
Speaker 10 (21:47):
But I don't know that we should have been.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
In that far. That was bad. It was ugly. LEXI.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
We're going to talk to you towards the end of
the hour because I do have some questions for you.
You more tapped into that. But yes, Alice was really
hurt last year. He was just hurt, he said last night.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
You mean right now? No, he's still he's still mad.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Yeah, app they call it, Alex you got the red ass?
Is that what it is called? You can say that that.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
No, it's usually brown, but tonight it's red because he's
not that happy about it.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
But why is he usually brown? But brown? Because he's
out in the sun.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Right, I say you there you go, You got your
pants on, you talking about brown buns?
Speaker 2 (22:25):
You a little You gotta settle down. You got a
month relax. No, everything's good unless they banned me from
there to the N A. B J R. E. L.
I'm not get bad. Oh you're gonna be a Hall
of Famer who gets kicked out.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
You gonna be the first Hall of Famer against the
Heisman trying to get hot.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
We'll talk about that later.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Uh. Eve from on the other side of trinding. Right now,
he is Steve the sacred, Well, I'll talk to you.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 1 (23:02):
All right, Steve, thank you our couple Robin Kelvin on
a trash talking Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Looking forward to seeing what you guys got cooked up.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
We already know US men's national team probably gonna get
some smoke next hour as well.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Join out our man Ephra Salaam.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Former NFL offensive line in Fox Sports Radio weekends as well.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Ephram, what's up, bro?
Speaker 6 (23:21):
What's happening? Brothers? How y'all doing?
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Not man talking about this? This USA team that did
not show us you smell that?
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Let me let me tell you.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
Let me tell you what they have done a disservice
to the soccer community in this country because we were
all in, literally we were all in. We were riding high,
people were talking about soccer and paying attention to soccer,
had never watched.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
The match, the same thing, and then.
Speaker 6 (23:49):
They just threw it out the window. Half the audience going,
now right, have the audience going, They're like, all right, well,
we both watched you know Botswana play now like.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Oh it just that's why didn't fall for in fall
for it. I knew.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
And look, it's not even that they lost. It was
they didn't come prepared to play at all. And you
saw it from the first ten seconds of the match
that you just knew. I'm like, oh this is this
is weird. No energy, they're turning over of the ball.
It just felt like our national teams of old and
(24:31):
it was disappointing, and it really, you know, I would
really I was. I was disgusted to take the truth.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
It was tough, That's what I said. I said, I
don't listen, you're gonna lose. You you played in the pros.
You know that it's gonna happen. But they didn't have
to go out where they looked completely like a JV
team playing a D one team, you know what I mean.
They didn't even look like they were supposed to be.
Like they did us a courtesy by letting us on
the field. And I think that's what's disappointing Mexico. I
use the example they lost to England, but you saw
that fight. They came back act, they put up a fight.
(25:01):
England had to eat that one out. And that's to
me were we're like, oh, at least you could say
look at.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
The level, come on, we like I think people bought
into the idea that the US had arrived and it
was on the home hold.
Speaker 6 (25:13):
That's how we were playing. I mean, we were just
going off what we saw.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Yeah, but that wasn't against the best team.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
You don't let him act like he's been playing attention
to this all of a sudden.
Speaker 5 (25:21):
He told him last night, don't let me from I
told him last night, don't let that hold him like
he got some cleats on right now, stop it that
the USA would get blowed out, like they say in
the barbershop. And guess what he from? They got blowed out.
That game was over out.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Hey, where from you all? Forty days? Thirty days? So
you want to tell me hold it? And so I
had the situation, but we're.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Not talking about you driving on the four five and
got to use the bathroom holding it.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
I was holding it all right anyway. So yeah, but
that but that's that.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
So do you mention a great point this service and
you wonder like it was there a momentum of you know,
I'm always thinking about the ten year old. Who may now,
oh man, I want to play as opposed who just baseball, basketball, football,
what have you?
Speaker 2 (26:02):
That'll be interesting there. I do want to ask you.
Speaker 5 (26:05):
Okay, we did hear from the Celtics about the whole
Jalen Brown Jalen Brown trade, and as you look at
it more and more and more, you know the financial
part of it, and we started to see this in
the NBA. Teams don't want to be on that second apron.
Free agency is just about dead, that deal that the
players sign now like there's no free agency anymore. From now,
(26:28):
people are dumping players rather than having to give them
new you know, contracts and extension.
Speaker 6 (26:33):
Yeah, like we when you think about it, in about
a month or so, Jalen Brown was up for an
extension and I think it was two years and another
one hundred and eighties ES dollars. And so when you're
faced with things like that, you're like espirstly, after you've
gone all in and you won a championship a couple
of years ago, you start to look at the you know,
(26:55):
the financials and the business part of the sport, like
do we mean so with him over five hundred million
dollars and oh, By the way, he doesn't seem happy here.
Everything he said from himself alludes to you know, there's
(27:16):
a problem it all. This all really started when he
said his best year, his favorite year ever was the
year they got eliminated in the first round and gave
up a three to one lead. You when you and
and and you know, arguably the best player on the
team was absent most of the year. Like, when you
start saying coded things like that, everybody at the front
(27:37):
office is like, wait, what, wait what? I think your
favor year wasn't when you want finals MVP and.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
You won the championship. That's not your final year.
Speaker 6 (27:47):
I agree that your best year. Like, so when you
start saying things like that, you're letting people know that
you may be Yeah, it may be time to move.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
I think even that getting stiff on that lipt big
team to me, I think they were starting to be Yeah,
that little chips start to add up. Right, you're getting
a little little little.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
History, right, they take Derek White and not you finals MVP.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
I think that is when it's okay, I've done so
much in the league, they keep disrespecting me.
Speaker 6 (28:13):
I think you remember, it wasn't just finals MVP. It
was Eastern Conference m v P Championship MVP as well,
all the way.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
So I think that played a role. Where where are
we at with with your team, the Lakers? And obviously
you know, right are you now? You get Tony the
snow time at the at the crypto, as Rob says,
are you You're going into this season thinking what rebuild?
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Hey make the playoffs?
Speaker 5 (28:41):
Like?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
What is this for a Laker fan? Rebuild? They think
they got a good team put to.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
The other.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
Rebuilt with Luca. You can't rebuild exactly? Is this just
putting the team out rebuild?
Speaker 2 (28:55):
This? Is this a competitive contending team?
Speaker 6 (28:58):
The way they are, they're going to make the playoffs
will be right around four or five in the in
the West. Can they go make a deep run in
the playoffs? Not necessarily as the team stands now, I
don't think they have enough shooting in the perimeter defense.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Are they better comprised now than they were last year?
Speaker 6 (29:17):
No? No, No, I think I think getting from under
the under eight and having maybe Walter Kessler.
Speaker 13 (29:24):
Is a good big man.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
Maybe I don't know. Well, you know, we did a
Timothy tim Timothy Moscot thing to remember that, Oh.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
My God made him seventy million dollars.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
He could even play. He was just he he got
benched the first week.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
How do you what do you do when you when
you get a win fall like that and you know
you can't play, Like do you just show up every
day thinking you.
Speaker 6 (29:49):
Start buying real estate in vacation homes and stuff. I'm
just like your apressment portfolio together.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
They want me seventy five million dollars.
Speaker 6 (29:59):
You you're a agent, calls left and like you ain't
never gonna believe it. You never go believe it. You
know that yacht you want to go.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Get it, go get it, get it.
Speaker 6 (30:11):
Yeah, So you know, look the Lakers, they will be competitive,
you know, barring everything, everybody stays healthy. But then you
cross your fingers. Look, it's a war of attrition. The
healthier teams end up making it deep in the playoffs.
We've seen it time and time again, and year after
year stars are missing playoffs, which can completely hamper their
(30:35):
abilities to compete at a high level. So we'll just
shake it out. All you got to do is be
competitive until you get to until you get to the playoffs,
and then and then you know, cross your fingers. So
they won't be one of the bottom teams, right, they won't.
They will be within the top five teams in the West,
which probably puts them top ten in the entire league.
(30:56):
So we'll just have to see. How you know, I
wasn't thrilled with all of the moves. I think our
young that young kid, our draft pick. I think he's
playing well in.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
The summer league. Had a nice game.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
If this was nineteen fifty five, I'd picked the Lakers
to win the champions right.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
The Minneapolis Lakers.
Speaker 6 (31:14):
Back George Mike kis right, like it's you know, uh,
it's it's it's a new look, a new look Lakers,
I can tell you that.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
And they're changing the colors of the uniform, just White's
uniforms to see.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Man, no matter where we about, real quick, last one
for me, Uh, we've we've seen some moves. You got
Kawhi now with the Raptors, we got Jaylen Brown with
the Sixers, obviously, Kessler with the with the Lakers. Wherever
you want to go, is there a particular team that
you like the moves they may mellow. Now with the Timberwolves,
(31:48):
I think that lamellow ball Timberwolves trade I think that's
going to unlock uh number one.
Speaker 6 (31:59):
It'll it'll mature LaMelo ball more more so than anything. Right,
He's not gonna be able to go into that organization
and be worried about the color the car or any
or anything like that. It'll it'll it's a little bit
more serious when you're competing, when you're used to going
to a Western Conference championships and and and finals and
(32:19):
stuff like that. Like, when you're competing, it changes your
approach to the game. He just been out hooping, and Charlotte,
they've just been out there hooping.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
He had just been hooping.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Yeah, he just been hooping. So now there's some stakes
and some things on the line that you know he's
gonna play into. Uh and and he's gonna have to
mature a lot and uh you know him pairing up
with ant is gonna be a tremendous thing. But it
also in laden games, it takes the pressure off Anthony
Edwards to be able to create a shot, get a shot,
(32:53):
do all of the things. Uh. And so this will
unlock another level of Anthony Edwards. And that's a that's
in the form of a leadership. Leadership and I think
LaMelo Ball needed someone like that to play with.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, I think it's gonna be zero hunter. They're gonna
hate each other or love. It's gonna be a fantastic
ride from there. All right, appreciate you, man.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
We'll do it again next week.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
Don't forget Opening day at the Lakers white out.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
I ain't gonna lie living in LA it's kind of wild,
like dang like that's all nobody else you want. It's
still early, man.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
I'll let you get in season tickets.
Speaker 8 (33:32):
No, absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Rob Is he couldn't be more thrilled, you know, Robb
about that life? Rob G? Definitely, Rob G.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Just stop, keep your job. You already have enough going
on right now. Everybody's on my head. Everybody in your head.

over to the United States?
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Can I count that? I'm gonna count it? Okay, So
I was one and three last night? You needed something? Wait?
Was that actually what you picked?
Speaker 13 (35:26):
Though?
Speaker 2 (35:27):
I think we won at four. That's not what you pick.
Speaker 7 (35:30):
I picked Belgium, saw me, mister MLB bro picked three
baseball games and got them all wrong.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
I got them all wrong last night. So okay, this is.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Like a three day's street mad Street going yeah, so
hru oh and three how many more days?
Speaker 2 (35:45):
So you hit the reset. I'll say no, no, no, September.
I still gotta get to September. What do you get?
Speaker 5 (35:50):
So I'm gonna say day three, one seventy eight, and
then we might hit research.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
All right, I'm just saying.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
One seven, one seventy eight and one forty eight is
my number.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Now, all right? Still thirty games over, I'll take that,
all right? Here we go here.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
We got Jay's the Blue Jays or in San Francisco,
blue Jays minus one and a half. I got the
Dodgers minus one and a half. They're hosting the Rockies
again in Los Angeles. And I got the Padres who
got skunk last night, minus one and a half. They
are hosting the d back so again. Paddres minus one
and a half, Dodgers minus one and a half, and
(36:27):
the Blue Jays minus one and a half.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
And remember Kelvin, what's that I'm not telling you who
to bet on. Whoopy damn do thank you DC. I'm
telling you who I bet them all. Right, there you
have it. Let's get to our tirect player of the day.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
I shot on my tens.
Speaker 1 (36:42):

bit earlier in the day from the course that was

Lexi in Lexington.
Speaker 8 (37:21):
Chops, there is no intro needed.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Lexi, you really upset.
Speaker 8 (37:26):
I can't even express to Rob how disappointed I am.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
Now, Remember LEXI told us this was the year we
could get to. I'm just gonna call it the Elite eight.
I know what it's called, but at least the Elite.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Eight, I'm gonna tell you right now.
Speaker 8 (37:36):
Please Rob A poaka.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
Alexi's panties is such and such a bunch. Oh boy,
we'd have to cut them off. I mean, that's how bad.
Speaker 7 (37:43):
I don't think you'd even reach it with scissors. Right now, Rob,
they're so far up there. I could be on stage
at the Magic City, the city that's magical, Yes, waiting
for mensy night, Rob excited for that. I'll just tell
you this, boys, not only did we all get so lemon,
not only were we all lied to. Not only is
(38:04):
this the literal worst performance I've ever seen by the
United States, Because simply this was the right time, right
place for them to show us why soccer.
Speaker 8 (38:14):
Should be important in this country.
Speaker 7 (38:15):
And guess what they did what they do, exactly what
they always do. Light the bet on fire, lay in it,
and say, welp, that's just who we are. Not only
did they literally, as Robert the Parker Greatest himself said,
who he knows soccer better than anyone else on the show,
that Belgium was going to run the score The first
forty second showed us exactly what to expect. Belgium was
(38:37):
going to dominate after the first goal, and Reem literally
stood there not knowing what he should do as a defender.
I guess the plot of Grass was scary for him.
He had to make sure it wasn't gonna score. Every
single goal was stoppable, Every single fourth that they had
was overcomeable. Even our free kick where we got a goal,
shouldn't have been a goal because that light of everyone
(38:59):
think we even had a chance that game. I'm disappointed. Yeah,
I'm gonna break the character here. Honestly, I never want
to believe in America again soccer because that proves us.
Even when everything's on your side, host country, your player back,
it doesn't matter, You'll still lose.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
What the heck was our goaltender doing on that that
third goal.
Speaker 8 (39:17):
That wasn't even his fault, that was Reeim's fault.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Well, yeah, but he kicked it. He did kick the
ground like it happens.
Speaker 8 (39:23):
That happens
