get you.

And Jordan doesn't make his teammates better at this point,

Career, he already does all of that, and that's what
makes it scary. So to me, we start having that
conversation of like, well, dang, he's the most complete he's
people are already saying he's the best player in the
league now and he could you know, how many MVPs
will he win? And I think one of the things
I started to think about we had this conversation before too,
and I don't know where you are on it. A
lot of people will gauge the best base simply off

off of rings, like all right, well this person has
x amount of rings in any in any league, you know,
whether it be a quarterback, whether it be an NBA,
that makes him the best. You can't be the best
unless you have six or seven rings in the ABA,
right you gotta.

But people aren't gonna people aren't gonna uh say that
a guy who hasn't done anything yet, who's still trying
to get there, didn't even win the you know, like
hasn't won He hadn't he didn't win any awards like
out of the womb that you're going to crown him
as the greatest ever, Like like I just think that
it has more to do with that rather than winning rings.

what makes him scary is what what Paul was saying,
the completion porsh of it because Tim Duncan, for all
of his greatness, Tim Duncan was a step back hitting threes.
Tim Duncan wasn't grabbing a rebound, bringing the ball up,
passing point guards at seven five seven six, like. It's
freakish and usually we can put holes in a game, right, joker.

As good as he is offensively well, he obviously has
massive limitations defensively and there's things that he can't do
agility wise. He's not athletic like that, right, which was
fine because he's been the best player for the last
handful of years. And you can going down to Luca.
As great as he is offensively scoring, he doesn't play defense,
doesn't get sucked into the hole. He has to have
the ball and say when he can do whatever you want.

plays twelve years, because you know after that he justk
he couldn't stay healthy or whatever may be, and he

Defensive Player of the Year and four or five m
vps and all that. To me, you can be the
best ever. And I'm not saying it's currently. What I'm
saying is without have to match the rings. For me,
you don't have to have six or seven or eight
past Jordan.

five minutes left in the game, you need a bucket,
you need something to get to. Guys are frantic. It's
chaotic and they and they're all thirty five thirty eight
feet away from the rim and it's high pick and roll.

more sweet spots than the average, but same thing where
it's like I gotta figure this thing out. Donovan Mitchell
could benefit from that. I think a lot of young
stars should really go back and look at the peak
eight like late eighties, nineties or two thousands, where guys
knew where they wanted to be on the floor. Charles
Barkley knew what side of the block he wanted to
be Onkin knew where he wanted to be. So that
can make it easier for myself and make it easier

for the team. And I see a lot of frantic ball,
a lot of trying to figure this thing out on
the fly, and guys don't know where to be and
they're out of place.

makes it scary. So to me, we start having that
conversation of like, well, dang, he's the most complete he's

league now and he could you know, how many MVPs
will he win? And I think one of the things
I started to think about we had this conversation before too,
and I don't know where you are on it. A
lot of people will gauge the best base simply off

off of rings, like all right, well this person has
x amount of rings in any in any league, you know,
whether it be a quarterback, whether it be an NBA,
that makes him the best. You can't be the best
unless you have six or seven rings in the ABA,
right you gotta.

But people aren't gonna people aren't gonna uh say that
a guy who hasn't done anything yet, who's still trying
to get there, didn't even win the you know, like
hasn't won He hadn't he didn't win any awards like

as the greatest ever, Like like I just think that
it has more to do with that rather than winning rings.

passing point guards at seven five seven six, like. It's
freakish and usually we can put holes in a game, right, joker.

As good as he is offensively well, he obviously has
massive limitations defensively and there's things that he can't do
agility wise. He's not athletic like that, right, which was
fine because he's been the best player for the last
handful of years. And you can going down to Luca.
As great as he is offensively scoring, he doesn't play defense,
doesn't get sucked into the hole. He has to have
the ball and say when he can do whatever you want.

home playoff games by twenty nine points or more for
the first time franchise history.

I think he's I think he's an incredible talent. He
obviously his team has gotten to the Western Conference Finals

But Rob, you've been covering this league, you know that
since for forty years watching the game, I've been watching

we talk about it. Maybe it's the AAU, Maybe it's
just the way they're being trained, because everybody has their
own personal trainer growing up now. But they need to

get back to having those set spots on the floor
when it's crunch time. You know, when it's four or
five minutes left in the game, you need a bucket,
you need something to get to. Guys are frantic. It's
chaotic and they and they're all thirty five thirty eight
feet away from the rim and it's high pick and roll.

or I'm gonna pop up at top of the key

games a little bit easier for him rob and for
a lot of young guys in the league where it's
not all freestyle, frantic thirty five feet away, high pick

just add living freestyle it. There's a point in the
game we're all out of breath, We're tired, the season's

beat up a little bit where we need to know
