say this all the time.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
And Kelvin you know, you know me, I'm into celebrating
things because we take so many losses, so many l's
in life that you got to celebrate the wins when
you win and you have a milestone. Don't cheat yourself
like you know, like it's a big me to fly
from La come here, organize.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
It, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (05:21):

Speaker 2 (05:26):
And my friends, I value them enough to want to
share in the successes of myself and.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Theirs, you know what I mean, when they have theirs.

He lying y'all week week exactly, all right, Uh, And

gonna do is just search odd couple FSR on YouTube
and subscribe to our channel. All right, Uh, let's get there,
Rob G. Let's welcome in the odd couple crew. We
wouldn't be able to do this farm radio program without him.
And Rob G is our producer. I do not know

(06:20):
who's standing in. Who else is there? It's here, rob
Ian ian Ian is as well, our associate producer, and
he'll be screening calls and helping us out in the studioyvonte,
there you go. Steve the Sagres at the anchor desk.
He'll keep us updated throughout the program.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I did hear Steve.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
And I do know that Elijah who is our social
media gurgle. Yes, Elijah the best in the business and
on the ones and twos. All right, there you go. Right,
let's let's get started. Ian. Uh, just yesterday, you know,
everybody thought it was all set up for New York.

(07:02):
The President was in the house, a celebrity after celebrity.
The Knicks won the two games on the road, so
everybody thought this was a fourgone conclusion and it didn't happen.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
That's right, Rob, Yeah, the San Antonio Spurs and the
New York Knicks. The Knicks led the series two to nothing.
But last night, the Spurs pulled within one game and
they beat the next one to fifteen to one eleven.
Victor wembin Yama had thirty two points leading the way
for the Spurs. The Knicks Ojannanobi led the way with
twenty eight points. Oh no, Jalen brusseled the way with

(07:34):
thirty two points. Well, who I mean there, no, no, no,
all good.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
But Kelvin, let's start here, and I'm going to push
back on you because you didn't think Wimby was ready
for this, and I think he answered critics, He answered
you he was absolutely ready for this big moment, this situation.
He also showed some toughness in the game, pushing Brunson.

(07:59):
They're not gonna strong arm him. He's a stick figure,
I get it. But the guy can play basketball. And
you know, whether or not he was, they should have
been called for some fouls or you know what I mean,
being rough housing or whatever. But not only did he
do that, he delivered thirty two points in a must

(08:19):
win game. Yet another Kelvin big win on the road
for this young team. That's what impresses me so much.
You know, like they should be down and out, they
should be wounded. They lost two games at home to
start the finals. They lost Game two where Wenby made
a terrible turnover with nine seconds that probably would have

(08:42):
sealed the game, right, and he misses the game winning shot.
So should he tuck his head and tail and be like, oh,
my god, it's over. We can't come back from a two.
Oh we're going to Madison Square Garden and the world
is going to be watching. And he could have, you know,
up into a ball and just figured that it's not

(09:02):
going to work, and instead he put up a tremendous night.
Winby becomes the second youngest player NBA history, dropped thirty points,
five rebounds, five assists. His numbers thirty two, eight and
six spectacular, and Wimby to me, Kelvin continues to prove

(09:25):
to me why they can win this championship, why they
are where they are, Why despite losing two games and
being down two, most teams that win two go up two,
winning two road games have won the five championship. I'm
not that I'm not that convinced that the Knicks are

(09:46):
going to be that team because and I'm not trying
to do a.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Who's the coach of the Cavs. I just get his name,
Kenny Atkinson.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Analytically, it's a three year old lead for the Spurs,
but they probably should be up to oh and they've
outplayed the Knicks probably all.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
But one quarter in this game.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I met two quarters because the Knicks had forty two
points and quarter number two. And that was the other thing, Kelvin,
that was big last night. You know, you give up
the Knicks forty two and you kind of felt that,
you and Jason Smith when we were changing shifts, right,
you guys were like, you know, they they just got
steamrolled in the second quarter, gave up a big lead,
were down at the half and looked like they were

(10:33):
buried and wouldn't gonna be able to recover. And five
minutes into the third quarter they took the lead.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Like this is a.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Resilient, young team with a lot of poise, and Wimby's
leading the way. I think you're wrong. I think when
you count them out and say he's too young and
can't get it done, I think you're under selling Wmby.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
So one thing I'll say quickly about Winby. I think
you're putting too much emphasis on my thoughts on Winby.
I told you yesterday weby gonna do it. Wimby does
remember I said I thought it would be d Aaron
Fox or something that would have to show up.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Ended up being more like Darren Fox. Hed a big
shot at the end.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
But Stefan Castle balled out for them twenty three eight
to fourteen, very efficient, knocked down all his free throws
but one, five and six. I mean, he played very well.
And obviously Dylan Harper is one of those. He shocked
terribly if you just looked at the numbers five and eighteen,
But he was one of those players. He made timely
buckets when the Spurs needed them, and a couple of

(11:29):
things to give the Knicks credit or the Spurs credit,
and then to.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
Say the Knicks. The Knicks were shook.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
I think all of the noise, the whole city's here,
everybody's ready go Knicks, go go New York, go bing bong,
all of that. The presidents in town, celebrity row to
see them.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Did you see Derek Cheter and Eli Manning.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
Derek Cheeter, Eli Manning, he never show up, not never,
but meant everybody was there. And you know what I
saw from the Knicks for that first seven eight minutes
loop that hard swallow we all have from ton of times.
The Knicks had that. I think they were the ones
that were psyched out. I think the Spurs had that, Hey,

(12:17):
what we got to lose? Were young, they would say,
where some would say young, dumb and shouldn't know any better.
But they're coming in there, Hey what we're down to?
We we believe we can win. To your point, Rob,
you always bring up they won some big ones on
the road last series, so I think they came in like, hey,
it's on them. They're at the crib and the Knicks
look sluggish. The Knicks looked nervous. The Knicks were short

(12:40):
arm and shots, turning the ball over terribly in the
first quarter. They didn't look like the veteran team, the
one that had been up to and won a couple
of games in the row. They looked shook, and I
think that was shocking to see. For me, was that
this great opportunity to really put your foot in her
throat early say it was the reverse right, you're up
thirty three to twenty two in the first quarter, crowds
going crazy, and it maybe just put them out of

(13:01):
their misery. In fact, it was the opposite. So I
credit the Spurs Mitch Johnson getting the locked in. I
credit Winby for staying focused and what that I love
from Wimby. He got his seven foot five, seven foot
six button down low, got some easy.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
And ones first baskets right right down low.

Speaker 6 (13:20):
And if I'm the Knicks, that's scary, and that if
that becomes what he does more often, not that all
he has.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
To only do. He can shoot the three. We know
he's got a great jump shot. He can bring the
ball up.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
But if that's a focal point for him, that's scary.
So I love what I saw from Wimby. I love
the attitude for Winby. I love that he was tough.
My only concern with Wimby specifically Rob You know this,
you've been covering the league a long time. Sometimes guys
go out of their way to prove a point. You're
not gonna punk me. I'm tough, And I only worry

(13:51):
with Winby is he's done a few things over the
last couple of series. Now that he's gotten away with that,
people have highlighted. And you know this world we're in
with highlighted and that Brunton push down, I know the
league's probably looking at it. I know everybody's talking about
it on shows, and I just would want him to
be a little more careful because.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
The men couldn't do anything. There's no way to get.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
Here's my theory though, Rob not theory, but just he's
already got to not that he'll get a flavorant too,
but he's already got that flagrant. If he gets another one,
I believe he's suspended and that would just be too
detrimental for that team.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
So he's just got to keep being tough keeping you know.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
I love what he's doing, but just be careful out
there when you're doing that, because you cannot get in
trouble miss a game because your team desperately needs you.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
But the Knicks looked like the let the you know,
the team that was not a veteran.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
You have to be disappointed because you thought they would
blow them out.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
You really did.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
I thought that would I thought they And last point,
which I know we're gonna talk more about Jalen Brunton
next uh in one of these albums, so I'll leave this,
but there's something going on where he hasn't been an
efficient and I thought being at home would make him
more efficient, not that he had to be, you know,
shooting seventy percent, but he looked a little out of
it as well. And they got Karl Anthony Towns to

(15:06):
be discombobulated. And that's also what hurt them so credited
and last point turnovers and not just turnover rob it's
what you do with them. Credit the Spurs for getting
twenty seven or twenty one points off of thirteen turnovers.
You know what, And it's got only seven points off
a turnovers.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
And that and that was seven off of eight turnovers, right,
is that all? I think the Spurs only had eight turnovers?

Speaker 5 (15:31):
Correct?

Speaker 6 (15:32):
It said, I have less points than you had turnovers.
It's crazy, right, they turned it over a tight only
gave up seven points. The Knicks turned it over thirteen
is not that bad. They kind of got it right
in the second half. But they got twenty one points
off turnovers. That's huge.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
That ended up essentially to me being one of the
things that was the game for.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
The Spurs, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
All right, man, it should definitely a different mood even
in New York because I'm here, you know what I mean,
And people are like because now that they've lost Kelvin, Yeah,
people are looking at the flaws of the team.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
You know what I mean? Now you come looking.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
That's the one thing about big playoff series game the
game he sucks hits eight three's next game.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
We love him, this guy, he's got problems.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
Winby, Ain't that? Winby's the greatest evert This was what
we do. This is what makes the finals great?

Speaker 1 (16:21):
All right?

Speaker 2 (16:22):

old you went.

Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox we're talking about
look Wimby specifically, but also the spurs as a whole.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
They showed up. They weren't scared. They said what New York?

Speaker 6 (18:27):
What Son? And they bought out. Give them credit, Rob,
Rob said they could go in there and do it.
I thought they they couldn't, at least not that game.
I thought maybe game four, but not three. They got
it done. And what was the big difference?

Speaker 5 (18:40):
What was the key?

Speaker 6 (18:41):
Eight?

Speaker 5 (18:41):
Seven, seven ninety nine? On Fox? Who we got?

Speaker 2 (18:43):
All right, let's squeeze in as many as we can here,
Marty in Kentucky, you're on the odd couple.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (18:51):
Bells? Are y'all doing?

Speaker 5 (18:53):
Good?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Man?

Speaker 9 (18:57):
Before I curtique anyone, I just want to say I'm
enjoying this series so much. I don't have a dog
in a fight. It's just great basketball.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Now.

Speaker 9 (19:07):
On last night's game, I thought there was a judgment
and defensively, I mean if I would have told you
that Heart would go four for I think six a
pulse or seven from three and Noby would go three
for seven and nine for thirteens in the field. Like
before the game he had said the next one, if

(19:27):
they made adjustments, they were letting different guys have a face,
and offensively they were just more aggressive with their back
against the wall. And it makes you wonder because the
coaching wise, this has been one sided, you know, when
it's on the four decisions and then it's experienced. You know,
Browns just got way more experience than Johnson. Brown's been

(19:48):
in this situation twenty something years ago against Pop And
it makes me wonder in this time off, did Pop
get involved because we got a thirty nine year old
over there coaching fan and you know, it tough going
against Mike Brown and the town squad. But I think
the player stepped up, especially Harper, but being a guy

(20:09):
that can get an option when you got Wemby after,
you can get you a bucket, a big bucket, And
I just think the player stepped up and I think
they made good adjustments. I can't wait to the next game.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
I'm with you, Marty. I can't wait because I think
it'll be tied up at two two. I really do.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Greg in Kansas, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio, What's up?

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Greg?

Speaker 8 (20:30):
Buggin?

Speaker 10 (20:32):
Wemby was fantastic. He concerns me with these stupid vowels
that he makes or the no call out science that
should have been. He needs to maybe it's a youth thing.
You got to talk about that. But if the Knicks
were to pull not put anybody in the post, and

(20:52):
they were not perimitive, but how far away, how far
away from the basket would Winby have to be. He
can't sit in there. It's a player. He's supposed to
be guarding his way far away. I think it's the
nick if that works, that they can do that and
open that lane up and they they don't have to
shoot a lot of threes. They can just thrive like
they did the Hirst New Game.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, Wemby made him pay a couple of times with
some big blocks when they did come inside. Kelvin uh
And and he wasn't settling just for the perimeter stuff
that that you know, we know we can make those shots.
I just don't want him to settle. And I think
he was very aggressive and not settling for shots.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Anderson, Yeah, go ahead, now, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (21:36):
I'm just gonna say.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Go ahead, Anderson, go ahead, brother Anderson and Queens. You're
in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (21:44):
Big rub what up? Kel? What's happening?

Speaker 6 (21:47):
Man?

Speaker 8 (21:47):
Yeah, I'm from I'm from Queens. You know what's going
Come on?

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Man, y'all let me down, Son.

Speaker 8 (21:53):
I know, right, I know, right, But a couple of things. See,
like see the NBA, they wanted to promote Winby so
bad they're overlooking all the stuff that he's doing. He
didn't get fine right with all that about the situation
that happened, and that call when he must Brunton last night,
come on, at least after they review it, he should

(22:16):
get it. He should get a flagrant.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
You know what I'm saying. That's a couple of things.
And another point that I wanted to touch on is
that the media have been talking about that Kat is
the m v P. Right, They've been talking about hey.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
You know well that no, no, no, that was after the
first two games where wimby budget.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
And That's what I'm saying. But but see, and so
I think Brunson got wind of that. And if you
look last night, he was like he was trying to
go for the m v P.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
He wasn't.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
It was hero ball last night.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
And you noticed, Anderson, We've seen it when they fell
down to to one to Atlanta, Right, it was that
hero ball that everybody hates.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yeah, yes, And I think and I think just because
of the noise where everybody was saying, kats the MVP.
Now I think I think Brunton was trying to play
hero ball, trying to and and and. To me, kat
is not a serve assertive enough call for the ball.

Speaker 8 (23:14):
As to be in some plays. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
Likes andson, you got up a great point.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
I'm gonna let but this is no one calls with
the ball in the NBA anymore. Gone of the days
rob where Patrick Gill will hit the block, give it,
give it to me, smack his hand like if you
don't get Like Kenny Smith always talks that about. He said,
there's a point where her Key would give it up
a you better give me a stack on ball, and
he said he would go in like a room, smack
people beside there, give me the ball. What you know,

(23:40):
shat dream even guards team man Kobe like, there's a
point where he give me the.

Speaker 5 (23:45):
Rock and then do that.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
I've seen NBA players go get it, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 6 (23:50):
Like absolutely, like you know I'm gonna go check it
from you.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Yeah, I'm gonna go take it from you.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
All.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
I appreciate the cause everybody will get to some more
a little bit later on Ifa Sala'm getting ready to
join us. We'll talk to him in a moment. Right now,
who's it at is? Steve Sager? Steve the Sager?

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Hello, gentlemen.

Speaker 11 (24:08):
Game four the NBA Finals is Wednesday, New York, leading
the series and hosting the Spurs again. It's two games
to one now A Game five is this Saturday in
San Antonio. Meanwhile, Game four, the Stanley Cup Final comes
up in just over half an hour.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Carolina at Vegas.

Speaker 11 (24:23):
Vegas won Saturday night in double overtime despite blowing a
four to nothing lead in the third, So the Golden
Knights lead the series two games to one. Three WNBA games. Tonight,
Browns Pro Bowl tackle Joel Buttonio retired. The Browns say
they will not name a starting quarterback this week. After
mini camp ins, the Bengals restructured the contract a quarterback

(24:44):
Joe Burrow for more cap space. Ravens veteran defensive end
Kalais Campbell says this season, his nineteenth in the league,
will likely be his last. Rams tackle. Alaric Jackson was
arrested for domestic violence. Serena Williams won her first round
doubles match in London Live if Golf CEO would not
guarantee that his tour would be able to still hold

(25:04):
its last four events this summer. Saudi funding for Live
is about to end. US Women's soccer in an hour
plays its second exhibition in Brazil, Brazil country that's going
to host the Women's World Cup next year.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
As for the Men's.

Speaker 11 (25:16):
World Cup, it starts Thursday with the Mexico game on
Fox TV. US men open in La Friday night on
Fox against Paraguay, and then the US will play in
Seattle the next week against Australia. As for Major League Baseball, tonight,
the Orioles lead Seattle one nothing in the bottom of
the third. Paul Skins and the Pirates are leading the
Dodgers to to one in the top of the fourth

(25:38):
with two solo homers in the first skiings with five strikeouts,
no walks in three and a third so far. Rain
delay at the start for twins at Tiger's Red Sox
out to a one nothing lead at the Rays in
the bottom of the fourth. Yankees up to nothing at
Cleveland in the bottom of the third. By the way,
for Toronto pitcher Dylan Ceasee just off the il as

(25:58):
in the rotation tonight after the hamstring injury. Phillies lead
one nothing at Toronto bottom of the second, ending back
to you.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
You at couple Robin Kelvin on a trash talking Tuesday.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
That's gonna be coming up uh next hour, So looking
forward to hearing what you guys got cooked up for that. Also,
we got Shekel City underway and Tye rec play at
the day as well. Plus we got to talk about
some something else too, Rob that we'll get to in
a minute after we talked to from.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Here in a little bit.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Okay, it does boggle me that some like Carl Anthony Towns,
your team has performed so well when you've been aggressive,
when you've played well.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Why revert back?

Speaker 6 (26:36):
You know, like, why why not realize that, Hey, I
gotta get more certive, I gotta be more active.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
But isn't he scoreless in the fourth quarter in all
three games?

Speaker 5 (26:45):
Yeah, that's that's some weird, freaky stat rochts.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
That doesn't make any mind boggling. That can't happen.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
And if you're Mike Brown, that's tonight, oh you know,
or last night whenever they're watching film. That absolutely is
something that is on my agenda to talk about.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
But you call him for plays for somebody like, hey.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
Well that's the thing man, this NBA, it's a lot
of just high pick and roll and just let your
guy who dribbles a lot, you know, do the end.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
And I get that, but but but you don't know
that he hadn't scored in the fourth quarter in the
last two games and what like.

Speaker 6 (27:19):
No, No, that's unacceptable even even in a win. That's
still unacceptable. By the way, it ain't just because they lost.
That's unacceptable even in a win. And Ephraim, I'm sure
you would agree with me. Were just talking about from
salam joining us now the odd couple of course, you
know e from a former offensive lineman. Fox Sports Radio
weekend hosts. We were just saying, we'll get to winby

(27:41):
in one sect. Just to stay on what we were saying,
Karl Anthony Towns can't be scoreless in fourth quarters.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
I don't care if it's a win or a loss.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
That's kill us ridiculous.

Speaker 8 (27:49):
Yeah, you can't do that. And you can try to
blame the revs and you can do all you want.
But what we've seen from Karl Anthony Towns since Game
three of the first round was a more dominant, assertive player,
not only on the defensive side of the ball, but offensively.

(28:09):
We didn't see any of that in in Game three.
So you can point the fingers and you can do it.
Felt like all of a sudden, Jalen Bronson decided, I
want to do the stuff I wanted to be me.
I'm sure he's heard the rumors and and and and

(28:31):
the pundit saying if the playoffs end, if the series
ended today, then Carl Anthony Towns would be the finals MVP, right,
Like what that's not lost on me given how Game
three win where yeah, you got your numbers, but your
shooting percentage was horrendous and you just excluded the one

(28:55):
other person that the offense works better through. Uh and
take some that pressure off you being an undersized guard, right,
just let Carl Anthony Towns be the facilitator. It was
a direct shift in how the Knicks have been playing basketball.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
No doubt about it. And they got to get that
worked out. But we do want to go to Wemby.
Me and Kelvin disagreed yesterday. Kelvin didn't think he was ready,
that he wasn't ready, and I saw a ready Wimby,
and he from not only he pushed back physical and
he was got to the basket, you know, not settling

(29:34):
for just perimeter shots. His first four baskets were right
in that circle, you know what I mean, Like all
of them dunks and layands. And I saw a different guy.
And here's a twenty two year old kid, his teams
back against the wall. Everything was New York, all the
stars were out, the President was out right, the city
was a buzz. And he went to Badison Square Garden

(29:56):
and put it thirty two points and got his team a.
And he looks like he's different, and he's not your
normal twenty two year old kid.

Speaker 8 (30:07):
No, I'll be interested to see how Kelvin saw it.
I think Victor woman Yama is exactly the type of
future All World player you want. The thing that we
loved about Kobe Bryant is when he was young, he
was diametrically opposed to being average and not winning. He

(30:31):
hated it. That playoff series where he airballed against Utah
and they lost, and he went to the gym the
season was over. He went to the gym and shot
that shot a thousand times. And so I love my
twenty two year old stars with a chip on their shoulder.

(30:52):
I love my twenty two year old stars who's who
are not willing to subscribe to that you're not ready yet?
I love that, and you saw it in his play. Now,
Miss Johnson did a better job of coaching and putting
Victor in spots he needs to be yes and always
needs to be over in the corner. He doesn't always need.

(31:12):
At no point do they post him up, which it
bothers me, it really does. I know they do a
lot of their action off the high screen and roll.
They have a play called forty five where the four
and the five men come up and set the high
screen and the four man pops and Victor rolls and
dives to the basket. And New York has been getting
away with a lot of holes earlier in the series

(31:33):
where they wouldn't let him roll to the basket. Well,
that's as similar. That's why he did what he did
to Brunton, which should have been a flavorant one. But
he wasn't going to be held today or last night.
And that was evident.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
Yeah, ay from no.

Speaker 6 (31:48):
Just to be clear what I was saying, I told
Rob my thing is already knew Wimby was one of
Wimby like that. I he is great, my is and
I said that he had his Kobe Bryant moment with
the turnover in the MISSI shot to win it. I
you literally said, that's his air ball moment. That was
his you know, tragic magic moment. You know where they
call it magic Johnson tragic where like you can get

(32:09):
better from that. My thing was who else was gonna
step up for them in that hostile environment? And to
credit them, Stefan Castle showed up great twenty three points,
eight for fourteen. He's such a dog. He's only twenty one,
so I'm blown away with that. I also thought the
Knicks believe it, and I want to get your perspective
as it's not apples apples and that it's football versus basketball,

(32:31):
but it is Super Bowl for you and then their
case NBA Finals.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
I thought they were the shook team, the Knicks. I thought, all.

Speaker 6 (32:38):
The entire New York metropolitan area, everyone's excited. First time
a game here, it has mattered in twenty something years.
I thought they felt the pressure. I thought they looked shook.
Did you feel that same way that first quarter?

Speaker 8 (32:51):
It was it was too much. It was too much.
There is something called too much, right, expectation of the sweep?
Oh we beat them on their floor, right, oh right,
like it was too much. New York is going crazy
for president in there. Ten thousand dollars for the for

(33:15):
the seat up there where you changed the light bulb,
I mean, you have secret service. It was just too much.

Speaker 12 (33:22):
Did you did you see the stars, ephrom It was
every time they had a shuffle of the celebrity row,
it was like all A listers, like all A lists plus.

Speaker 8 (33:34):
At the Lakers finals out here in Hollywood.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Well, no, I don't think the Lakers could top that, Ephrat.
I don't think. Not the eighties Lakers maybe, No, No,
the eighty eighties Lakers, I'll give you that.

Speaker 8 (33:46):
Not didn't. Michael Jackson used to be at the games.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
Bro and Michael Jackson been there for fifteen years. I said, now.

Speaker 8 (33:52):
From sitting there with Bubbles and Jack Nicholson. But but
I say I say that to say it was too
expectation of them, this young team experiencing that was gonna
be too much for them, and we were gonna roll
over them. That was evident. They got a fight on

(34:13):
that don't lose this second game at home. Don't do that.
Now the conversation changes. Now, the conversation changes, right, because
now you give back home court advantage. And if this
didn't go seven in their building, although you've won to there,
that's something you don't want to be there.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
And the last thing is you're right about that because
the Spurs should.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Have won game two.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
So if you're the Knicks, don't play with fire like
you got one that you probably shouldn't have gotten. And
if the Spurs come back, they have to feel good
like we really beat them three times in a row.

Speaker 8 (34:53):
Like you have to understand this. The Spurs have someone
that they can't guard.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
Yep, right, the Knicks real quick. At ten second, I
was gonna say, Game four, what do you expect?

Speaker 8 (35:08):
I expect what I saw. I think the ancillary players
will shoot better for the Knicks, but I think the
Spurs win that game. I think the Spurs we saw
last night, or the Spurs we'll see for the rest
of the of the rest of the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
He from mom in locksed up with you. I think
we saw a progression.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
We saw them near dead in game two, run off
fourteenth straight right to tie, that game, and look at
them since, and even look at the second second quarter
yesterday they gave up forty two points. He From could
have been buried right. Come back in the third quarter
and again take the lead. This is a different group.

Speaker 8 (35:53):
It's a dangerous team, man, And they're young, and they
don't know no better.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
And they don't know no better. This is why I
picked the nick because dankd The Spurs are supposed to
be young and dumb. They're like we young and dumb
enough to think we can win it. Ay From appreciate it.

Speaker 8 (36:07):
You're welcome. They have someone no one can guard. Man,
that's a problem.

Speaker 6 (36:11):
Crazy, all right, all right, he appreciate you. It as
always all right. We got Shekel City and tirec Player today.
Plus something I saw all over social media. You probably
saw it too, and I think it's lame. We'll tell
you what that is. It's the yacht Couple of Fox

Speaker 6 (36:40):
A big shout out to Ephram Salon, who joined us
moments to go. Appreciate that it's the couple Robin Kelvin
on a trash talking Tuesday. We are about a little
less than an hour away from trash talking Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
See what you guys got cooked up for that?

Speaker 8 (36:54):
All right?

Speaker 5 (36:54):
Right now, it's time for Shekel City. How'd you do?

Speaker 8 (36:58):
Right?

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Here we go? Here we go.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
You won one last night, including that big Spurs plus
one and a half points, So very happy there. So
the record is now one fifty eight and one thirty
twenty eight games over five hundred versus the spread. Here's
tonight best bet taking the Brewers minus one and a
half at the A's Kevin. I don't know if you

(37:22):
saw the score of the game of the Brewers a's
game in Las Vegas last.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Night, fifteen to fourteen My god.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Oh my gosh, twenty nine ones in that game they
played in Las Vegas for the first time. It was like,
you know, in the minor league ballpark, held about eight
thousand people.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Reds and Padres are playing to night in San Diego.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
I'm taking the Padres plus one and a half, and
the Nats are in San Francisco. I'm gonna take the
Nationals minus one and a half in San Francisco. So
NAT's minus one and a half, Padres plus one and
a half and the Brewers minus one and a half.
Remember Calvin, I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 6 (38:06):
All right, there it is Sheko City. Let's get to
your tire rec Player of the day, Spurs.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Here's castle Shovelet back to Victor. Victor four feet behind
the line.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
Wait wait, Victor, Waybdiama.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Hits the strings.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
I was waiting for one of those long three ball
step riding. That good feed there from step seventy nine
seventy six brothers Spurs Radio on the car. That is
big call there we we we we yes, yes.

Speaker 6 (38:32):
Yes, that's what he's doing right there we wee Spurs
Radio Network on the call time, of course, for your
tire reck Player of the day, which was brought to
you by Tirerack. For over forty years, tire Recks been

like mobile tire installation tire rack dot Com. The way

(38:52):
tire bodys should be Rob, we gotta talk about what
you've seen. I'm sure you've seen all over social media. Look,
you know, I've been having fun with the Knicks. It's
been fun to see the city. I'm not from there,
but just going crazy. I think the NBA is great
with massive square gardens rocking. The Knicks are good, you know,
they're same thing in baseball, and the Yankees are good.
Dodgers and football, and you have certain Cowboys are good
and just.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
You know, it makes it good.

Speaker 6 (39:14):
Yeah, but I'm beating up Spurs fan is crazy, beating
up fans walking around and I know some of it's
fake if you got to kind of watch them, it's
because like it's staged armorway to Jersey and then you
actually you.

Speaker 5 (39:26):
Being able to put it online now.

Speaker 6 (39:27):
But some of them in real fights, people getting jumped,
just trying to mind their own business.

Speaker 8 (39:31):
Walk.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
It's terrible. It's terrible.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
You cannot where you're like, you know what to one
place is Philadelphia, you beta not where other team or.

Speaker 6 (39:44):
I would imagine maybe a Cowboys jersey with the Eagles
and stuff. Yeah, I just hate that. And to your point,
you're right, sometimes in life you gotta know just because
I can don't mean you should. I know legally you can,
but it might.

Speaker 5 (39:57):
Not be wise.

Speaker 6 (39:58):
But on the other side of that, come on, nick, man,
I've been having fun with y'all. It's been a great
summer or you know, spring summer, watching y'all have a
great time with it. Don't ruin it. Don't ruin it.
Don't ruin this thing where don't get people hurt. Man,
this is absolutely ridiculous. So enjoy the time Knicks fans,
but stop putting your hands on people.

Speaker 5 (40:15):
Man, it's ridiculous. A couple
