Antonio Daniels of course, NBA Champ Series XM, NBA Radio Pelicans,
Color TV analysts, and of course a Fox Sports Radio
NBA analysts. So we'll get his take on Game three
Wemby and you know where this series is headed and

(01:50):
all that, because.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
There's a lot to unpack.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
We went from two to oh people talking about Kelvin
it being a suite to now here we are like, uh, oh,
maybe there was a change. And I know how it
is in the playoffs. Every game is monumental. Every game
you win is monumental, and every game you lose is monumental.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
It's it's a pretty amazing thing.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
That's what makes it fun, though, Rob, you know what
I mean? Like this because this is it. This is
the last stretch. You know, if the Knicks were to sweep,
that'd be it, or if the Spurs would have swept.
Point is you know, we want our finals, you want
good games, you want you want storylines, you want all.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
This because this is it. Basketball is over. What's this it?

Speaker 5 (02:32):
So every play matters, every shot, Legacies are written or unridden,
and so it's uh, it's big man. And so that
was a big game for them, them being the Spurs,
what what what a gut check?

Speaker 3 (02:44):
You know, uh Cohoda's check. All of that.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
They came right in Madison Square Garden saluted the president
with a with a w or the Knicks.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Said, take that and take data.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
You sleep with data, then you go all right, well,
I'm going to go We will get to that, but
I'm going to go here. And last night we saw
why people have always questioned and wonder if the Knicks
are going to win a championship, and Kelvin, I'm here
to tell you that if they blow this old two lead,

(03:20):
the two old leader should say and wind up losing
to the Spurs, it'll all be about Wimby, right and
all that, and I get it. But the reason the
Knicks will lose this series will because of will be
because of Jalen Brunson. I believe that if we go
back to the Jalen Brunts and Knicks and hero ball

(03:43):
and dribble dribble, dribble dribble and either shoot it or
or force it to a teammate laid in the shot
clock for it to put up a shot, then the
Knicks are going to lose this And we got a
glimpse of that last night.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Wait a minute, he's scoring thirty two points.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
He matched Wimby, Right, No, Kevin, that's not what they
were doing, right, That's not when they were winning thirteen
in a row of bakers, doesn't They weren't doing that.
And here we are back in the same situation, and
I'll give you the bad brunch of numbers. His thirty

(04:22):
eight percent usage rate through three games is on pace
to be the highest and final series since Lebron in
twenty fifteen that was thirty eight point nine. Brunton has
more turnovers, not than a bakery, than assists. He has
the same amount thirteen turnovers, thirteen assists.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
No good.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Brunton has scored eighty two points in the series. You
ready on eighty one shots? Eighty two points on I
don't want to take that shots. I don't want to
take that better shooting just thirty seven percent from the field.
Bronson's plus minus they're talking about Remember, people were saying

(05:09):
in New York, he's the greatest Nick ever. He's a grummer,
He's the greatest, He's a great They wanted to put
him up as the greatest Nick ever, even winning anything,
because he helped him win Game one in San Antonio.
People were talking crazy Calvin plus minus in a series
minus fourteen. Guess what cat is? Plus thirty one? Who's

(05:34):
a real MVP At this point, Bronson is the first
player in NBA history to record the following numbers in
a three game span. Eighty plus field goal attempts, sub
forty percent field goal shooting, and twelve or more turnovers.

(05:59):
When god it by, Stefan Castle, you ready in the
NBA Finals brunching and shooting thirty one, six turnovers and
four assists. If you don't win it, If the Knicks
don't win this series, Kelvin, it'll be pretty obvious as
to what went wrong. And that will be Jalen Brunson.

(06:20):
As much as they loved that guy, and he's made
shots for them, and he's won games in the fourth quarter,
what do you have thirteen and fourteen in Game one
in the fourth quarter. I get it, I get it.
But there's a lot of bad brunching stuff out there
as well.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
Here's the challenge, Rob, Here's what he's fighting with. He's
fighting with mighty man, mighty mouse syndrome. And what I
mean is when Winby pushed his head down, it was
as if he was sonning them.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
They get you a little butt out of here, you know.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
And then when you get Stefan Castle, remember you saw
that when he says, remember we were I think we
were next to you, but and he just blew through them. Yeah,
Blue ran them over, get you a little bit out
of here. And I think he was getting big dog
dog game. And the problem with that is when you
have the Napoleon Mighty Mouse syndrome, you take it personally
and what you want to do is prove no, I'm tough,

(07:13):
No I'm better than, I'm stronger than. And of course,
his version of fighting back is with volume. His version
of fighting back is with shots. His version of fighting
back is by proving to you I'm gonna take you out,
you take you out.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Via the buckets and winning this game.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
The problem with that is, bruh, you're going against the program.
I've been giving Mike Brown. Mike Brown credit because he
had switched the program. He understood what he had success.
What he saw being a Warriors assistant coach was how
they run out that high post. They'll throw it to Draymond,
they throw to Andrew Bogan, David Lee, all those guys,
and they also see of course what they do with
Sabonis when he was up with Sacramento, a lot.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Of success there.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
Sabonis would be one of the better guys in the
league getting triple doubles because going out of that Cats
started to get near triple doubles, getting a lot of assists. Obviously,
he's gonna board, he's gonna score when they ran offense
through that Jalen Brunson part of being that combo point
guard kind of thing is he forgot. And here's what
I mean. There's no way I can look at my

(08:11):
second best player, car Anthony Towns and say my man
hasn't scored in a fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
That's on me. I gotta set him up with tom
or two.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
I gotta say, get download, big fella, go eat right,
or just say I soo here you're rock. Go kill
these little dudes that keep putting on you. We got
a little mouse in the house. I can't have my
guy Mickel Bridges only getting five shots. Mikel Bridges ain't
a guy in East twenty, but he can't get more
than five. And lastly, this is the most atrocious one.

(08:41):
Car Anthony Towns cannot put up ten points in a
attempts robed in a finals game.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Men of them fifteen in a finals game.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
My big dog has to have fifteen shots because I
have to keep him engaged. I'm losing him and point
guards know that. That's one of the troubles of us
having great point guards anymore. We got a bunch of
combo guards. Rob's point, Chris Paul Knew, Okay, I gotta
let Blake eat. Okay, I gotta get DeAndre some oops
to keep him excited on the defensive end. All right,
Ray John Rondo, I got to feed the big feller.

(09:11):
I gotta get Ray on some shots. You know, when
you look at Darren Williams, you look at all the
Steve Nash, when you just look at the guards that
we've had, Tyres Haliberg give him credit. He let everybody
else feast. And what did he do in the fourth quarter?
Rob takeover? Make big shots. Jalen Brunston has to understand.
We're better is what if I were the Knicks, Mike Brown.
We're better when everyone's involved, when the ball is moving,

(09:33):
when we're spreading them out, we're spreading weinby out, getting
him out of the paint, just sitting there because he's
waiting on you to attack or shoot a long shot.
He's spreading the team out. Then we're running the ball
through Cat and getting guys excited. Because when you get
to touch the ball field the ball, you play defense better.
It just goes. It matriculates to the whole game. And
then you are our closer. That's the game plan. We're

(09:57):
up four to five plus or minus, we're down four
to five. We're in this thing. You close this thing out.
It's worked to the tune of thirteenth Straight. So if
it ain't broke, don't fix it. And again I think
he took it personally. Stephan Castle too aggressive with him
talking smack, get in his head, big.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Body him on the other when he would be on
the office box.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
What about the media, you know, gassing up Cat. You
think that that played up.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
I'm gonna say no to that. I know you mentioned that.
I want to who mentioned that first? Call her? And
then I think afore mentioned it too.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
I don't subscribe to that because I think he's too
much of.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
A team player. And it said like my guys, he
loves his guys.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
But I do think he subscribed to I'm sick of
the Spurs pushing me around his game. I'm sick of
them literally bulldozing me, and I'm gonna make you take
it personally and show them when if that's the case,
I can trick you out your spot. And there's a
song shout out to my guy Sahai rapper from Atlanta.
He said, don't let them trick you off the streets,
meaning don't let them get you caught up and you

(10:56):
mess around and you know, lose. What you're doing has
been successful, and I think the Spurs have tricked him
off the streets and it got him taking it one
on one and forgetting Oh shoot, let me get back
to what we do.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
And have been doing well.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
I just think there's a Jalen Brunson problem and I
and it's it's glossed over because of that.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Game one, you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
It just it just is like all the numbers, Kelvin,
all the numbers are bad except except for the what
do you have? It was it thirteen or fourteen? Fourteen?

Speaker 3 (11:26):
I think it was fourteen.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
And that fourth Okay, that's that's a big fourth quarter.
They win.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
That game set the tone of the series, right, I
get it. In Game two he had the shot. He
made the basket right down late. I get it. Yeah,
but all the other numbers are bad. And when they lose.
You remember where we were when they lost to Atlanta
those two games. It was about Jalen Brunson and the
hero ball and two just doesn't look right. This doesn't

(11:55):
look like they're going to be able to get it
together and win. And where the knicks and remember that
on that long ago.

Speaker 5 (12:01):
And yeah, if you're Mike Brown, you got to remind
him of that. Hey, we all know you're one of
the better one on one scores in the league. Your
guy can get it to make big plays, we know that.
But we're better when this ball is moving. We're better
when guys get to touch it. And it ain't just
about shot attems rob It's about touching it right, just
feeling it, feels like you're a part of it. And
when guys are just standing around, you lose that juice,

(12:24):
you know what I mean. And it affects defense because
you're just kind of out of it. You're not when
the ball's moving, everybody touching, everybody eating a little bit,
and it keeps you active, keeps you engaged. It helps
on the defensive end keeps heeps your psyche in it.
And again, that's one of the troubles I believe with
not having traditional point guards anymore, is that guys sometimes
lose sight of that.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Steph Curry a combo guard.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
You know some of the better players, and Edwards kind
of a combo guard, more of a two. But we
just don't have a lot of traditional point guards anymore
who know how to read the to Okay, let me
get let me let big dog eat a little bit.
All right, let me work it around here, Let's swing
it around. Let's get this eyeshot, let's slow the pace up.
We're missing that sometimes, Rob, and it to me, it
is evident, and it has been evident with Jalen in

(13:07):
the last game game and a half or so.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Yeah, it's I'm convinced that.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
People will Becky Hammon might speak up. They might run
back to Becky ham and you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
And hey, I meant to bring that up. You're right,
I've listen. She's about to be like the seventy two Dolphins. Rob,
she gonnap a cork. If the Knicks lose, to say,
I told you a smaller.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Girl, I told you the team that's exactly what would happen,
because that's what she said from history. And you know
they ran to her when they went up too oh
and whatnot and say, hey, what do you say now
or whatever? And now it's just funny how one game
can change everything. But he just hasn't played well. When
I just brought up the big number eighty two points

(13:52):
on an eighty one shot, that's just not a lie.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
That ain't gonna cut it.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
Nobody's asking you to be shooting your oli guard against
big wings in the finals.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
I get it, but you that that ain't gonna cut.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
It, no doubt.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
All right, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, And
there's at least one person and there's no number there.
I'm sorry, this is trash talking. I forgot the number.
At least one person we know who did not enjoy
game number three and we're gonna get to that coming
up next.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
It is the odd.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Couple right here on Fox Sports Radio, Rob Parker, kelvin
Washington on a trash talking Tuesday, And yes, that's coming up,
and we're gonna want to hear from you, so you
know what you need to do, stick and stay America.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
There we got robbed where we got to tell them
about M drive. Bruh, no doubt M drive.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
And you know when they first came to meet Kelvin,
I'm I don't know, I don't know what they're talking about.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
I don't know who they were.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
That truth be told, we had it, but they were like,
we want to talk to you guys.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
I said, uh who.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
But the fact of the matter is we flound out
about them and that we started to paying attention to
to our body.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
So it's been a great combination.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
Shame here and after forty you know, come years after
forty I have energy.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Drove forty two. Who's counting?

Speaker 4 (15:09):
The weight won't move, the gym stops giving you back
what you put in.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
And you start doing all that hard work. Robin, you
start the question, is it me, am I the problem?

Speaker 1 (15:18):
It's not. It's not you. It's the testosterone. Did you
hear me?

Speaker 4 (15:22):
It's the testosterone and it declines after forty and takes
everything with it.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
AM drive is built for that, man. I tell you what.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
You wake up, you take a couple of capsules every morning,
pop those things in or if you like smoothies, they
got the powder form as well.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Pop that in a smoothie or drink to go.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Clinically tested ingredients that support healthy testosterone energy metabolism helps
me through my morning TV show.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
And here's what really got me is a scientist named
Gary Keyhole, and he built this thing almost twenty years
ago for himself after feeling the same change.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
And you know what, me and you're right now.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
We're trying to get right, trying to eat better, trying
to get in better shape, and M drive has definitely
been a big part of that.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Over one million men are using it. I mean that's
that says a lot.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
A million for sure.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
And also, by the way, if you're nervous, sixty day
money back guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
There's nothing to be nervous about.

Speaker 1 (16:16):

Game three last night, his Spurs former team getting to

(17:53):

Looking forward to it. By the way, it's time to get.

(18:17):
let's get into this. President Trump was there at game three.
It was announced he'd be there. He showed up. We
talked about teams, the fans had to get there two
three hours early, security, Secret Service. You heard from darreon
Fox saying it was it was difficult for the teams.
Your whole normal routine was off. And uh they would

(18:38):
check stick, checking the check and they did. They literally
opened up his chapstick to check the little small as
small as your fingernail, your pinky fingernail. But uh, what
did you think of Trump being there and just the
overall response of it, and uh, his lack of enjoyment
of the game.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Well, no, no doubt that the one that he got booed,
you know what I mean, we knew that was gonna happen. Uh,
And they had their shot on ABC with him, you know,
saluting the flag or whatever, and people boomed and they
had different shots around, you know, at some watch parties
and different stuff, and when he was on the screen,

(19:17):
they were kind of booing them and whatnot Trump is
some people might not know it's from New York. It's
from Jamaica Estates queens, Like I'm from Jamaica Queens as well.
And it's not the favorite son of New Yorkers anyway.
But I wasn't surprised that there he was sleep in

(19:37):
the suite next to James Dolan and they could say
what everyone or just rest in his eye, he was
like sleeping. He took a little siesta, you know what
I mean during the game. And then the reporters that
he left early, right that he that he left, So
what was that all about? Because there was supposedly a
bee about him and instead there was a lot of
people with the Trump juju, you know, like bad Jude, you,

(20:00):
oh my god, what did we just do here? Everything
we talked about it, Kelvin, the Knicks were Rowland. Did
they really need that? Did James Dolan really need to
invite Trump in that moment, in that situation, and and
and that was bad and if they lose, it'll be
like okay, that's when that's when the wind changed. Right
then when Trump showed up.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
I think Wemby and how well the Spurs played is
the bulk of why the Knicks loss.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
And also some hero ball from Jay.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Oh, there's no there's no doubt about that.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
But I'm breaking normal routine, adding added pressure to you.
The president is their secret service, and just we already
know celebrity row and all this and just the whole
city of New York all in. I absolutely think that
played a role. Now get I'm giving credit to the Spurs,
so I'm not saying it play. If this is if
you want to go a blame pie, I'm gonna go

(20:54):
three quarters of it, maybe two thirds with the Spurs.
I'll give a you know, another portion that that you
know to the Spurs, I mean to the Knicks and
just they didn't play great to look a little shook.
And then the rest I'm giving to again just the
environment that atmosphere had I believe had them shook. But listen,
the irony is hilarious. A lot of people like man,
you used to call that man sleepy Joe, former President

(21:16):
Joe Biden. He always made fun of him fall to sleep,
calling him just sleepy Joe and what not making fun
of him, you know, seemingly taking.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Naps all the time.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
And then now we've caught President Trump taking naps quite
a bit over the last few months. So the irony
is not you know, lost on people. And again, as
you mentioned, it just seemed like a lot for him not.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
Being like fully engaged.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
You know, he didn't have on Knicks stuff, he wasn't
fully rooting for the Knicks. He wasn't all land So
it seemed like a whole lot to just kind of
be there for a couple of quarters and take a
couple of siestas and take take a nap and leave early.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
And they'd be like, oh, by the way, I ain't
coming to game four either.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
So it's just like, all right, thanks, I guess thirteen
game winning streak now gone.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
City kind of like we lost the you know, the field.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
We couldn't do our outside of the arena and have
fun with it.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
The big watch party outside right right, Yes, that had
been a staple.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
Yeah, so it just kind of seemed like, again, that's
not why they lost, but you can add a little
to what just the pressure of it would have built,
the eyes on it, the security, the questions about how
do you feel about the president?

Speaker 3 (22:28):
How do you feel about the president? Just a little
bit the stuff you don't.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Need when you're trying to win a finals series for
the first time in fifty three years. So and the
best part again is the naps are hilarious. Leaving early
is hilarious, any idea? Oh yeah, I have my little fun.
I ain't coming Game four. I'm straight, I ain't gonna
beat their game for it.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Okay, I'll tought you're a big Knick fan, right, I
thought he was a big Knick fan.

Speaker 8 (22:52):
Right.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I'm glad you you heard what he said to your
boy though, right?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Oh Stephen Nate, Yeah yeah, I saw that. Go ahead, Yeah,
like I do you know?

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Stephen A was like if before the game, if they lose,
it's his fault.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
I'm absolutely blaming. He shouldn't be there, you know.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
And then and then they brought it up to him
as he's getting on Air Force one, and then he
took his shot to Stephen A. He's like, I like him,
but he ain't smart. I don't view him as smart.
You know, running for president is you got to be smart.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
I don't think that's him. I'm like, oh, dad. So
I want to see if steven A put the camera
on me.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
I think he talked about it today. I didn't get
to you.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
I didn't get a chance.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Did he did he get cheap first take? But I
think I saw him.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I might need that. I might need that.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
At some point they had a big flag behind him
and it was and so I was just you know,
like like on the coomakie or whatever.

Speaker 5 (23:45):
He said something, so so that was yeah, I'm sure
he I'm sure he said, see if if I take

Speaker 5 (26:56):
Back to you the appreciated as always, our couple Rod
Parker TIVL of Washington on the Trash Talking Tuesday joined
bar O man Antonio Daniels. He is, of course, NBA
Champs Series, Sex, NBA Radio, Pelicans, TV color analyst, Fox
Sports Radio, NBA analysts, and former Spurs, so I'm sure
he's excited about Game three.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
A d what up?

Speaker 6 (27:20):
What's going on? Man?

Speaker 9 (27:21):
Hold on?

Speaker 1 (27:23):
I gotta catching that step I hear hold on, Tony
Rob I love it. Hey, what's the man?

Speaker 6 (27:30):
I got pepper my step I ain't got no dog
to fight here.

Speaker 10 (27:33):
No, yeah, okay, no, Okay, I get you, but hey,
I'll say this, Antonio, you could just I was happy
to see Wimby not settle go.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
No, I'm just saying to start the game, they got
him involved. It wasn't from the perimeter. He was dunk
and laying up balls whatever. He played great. A lot
of people wanted to count Winby out after Game two,
including my partner, who thought he's not ready.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
He's only to tell me, yim tell him. I said
the Spurs, not Wemby. I said Wemby was gonna do Wimby.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
No, but I'm just saying, you weren't. You weren't there.
And he responded and he played very well. That's a
big time win. But Antonio, they've been doing this all postseason.

Speaker 6 (28:20):
Yes they have, Yes, they have. They have. If you
can go into the reigning champions building, regardless and win
the game seven, I think you're okay. And again I
think this medicine six. Obviously, I don't think that's gonna
happen because I don't think San Antonio is gonna win
four times in a row. But I will say this,

(28:44):
they get tomorrow. Well, I got interesting yesterday. It got
very very interesting yesterday. I bet Yesterday was a huge
game for both sides because this story obviously is not
on a submur There's never been a team that's lost
the first two games at home with the home court

(29:05):
and come back and won the series in the finals.
Never happened.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Never happened, right, And then there's never.

Speaker 6 (29:10):
Been a team that's lost the first three games and
came back and win the next four period. So history
wasn't on the subverse side to start off with, but
to watch them respond the way that they responded. And
here's the issue though, fellas. Right now, they're playing a
six mal rotation. Yeah, they're playing a six mail road station.

(29:31):
They got their started vibe in Dylan Harper because Keldon
Johnson's not playing well, Luke Cornett's not playing well. Harrelton
Bond isn't playing at all. Carter Bryant has basically been
thrust in the lineup to do the hack of Mitchell Robinson.
They're playing with a six man rotation. I am internesting
to see how this team responds after one day off

(29:54):
as opposed to two.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
That's an interesting point because you know, they I just
had a seven game series and you know, and and
it's a lot of them, they're either young or this
is first second year, so trying to continue to go
through this grind.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Let me have me stay here? Why why did you
when Rob?

Speaker 5 (30:11):
While you know Wes, we don't often agree, but when
he started talking about going through and going down.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Low with Wimben, you kind of I agree.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
Wimby getting activated, getting aggressive sometimes you know, he'll go
the whole half with four shots and I just think
that's unacceptable.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Involved, And.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
I wasn't. I didn't stop at Rob saying getting Winby involved.
You know, here's the thing, because San Antonio's home for me,
So after every game, it's much louder it's here than
it is. Okay, okay, So what always happens when this
burds lose and Wimby shoots four three's, people say go inside,

(30:53):
oh what are you shooting threes? Four? But then the
next game he goes five to nine for three and
no one says a word. His shot selection is only
in question when they lose. That's my issue. Wemby is
closer to Kevin Durant than he answer. Sequille O'Neil agreed,
that's the brue reality of regardless that to him being
seventy five. He wants to shoot jump shots, and I

(31:17):
get what everybody's saying about him playing closer to the rim,
and I am all in favor of that.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
I'm not saying that he can't chew from the perimeter
or arm against that. I just like the way that
they got him involved early and his first four baskets
were all around the rim. It just to me felt like,
you know what, he's not going to just settle for
perimeter or outside stuff.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
That's all.

Speaker 6 (31:43):
Now the question that you ask yourself and Mike Brown
talked about this postgame yesterday. The New York Knicks dropped
the ball yesterday on a ton of coverages. Do you
realize coming into last night's game, Wemby had one lob
one log that he had gotten.

Speaker 9 (32:02):
The first two games, yet all of them yesterday, Right, The.

Speaker 6 (32:06):
Attention to detail was different for the Knicks. They dropped
the ball on their coverages and you can see them
in the first two players of the game. You can
see them Stefan Castle being aggressive. What's huge for the
Smurgs yesterday, and they're gonna be huge when the smallers
moving forward.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
All right, I want to get here.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
So the criticism he just said, the wimby stuff and
the same thing comes to the Knicks with Jalen Brunson
when he does the How well is he playing right now?

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Antonio?

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I mean, he had the big fourteen point fourth quarter
in Game one, he made the big shot in Game two.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
That put them ahead.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
But he's scored eighty two points in the series on
eighty one shots. He's shooting thirty what is it, four
percent from the field. I mean there's a lot of
bad numbers. Plus minus is negative fourteen by comparison cats
as one. How how is Jalen Brunson playing?

Speaker 6 (33:03):
To you, God, Lee, He's playing great and the fourth okay,
And that's the easiest way I can put it. But
the difference is he's playing poorly and from quarter one
to three Carl Anthony Towns is playing great. From quarter
one to three, Karl Anthony Towns has not scored in
the fourth quarter yet.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Would that's ridiculous, but this is this is the.

Speaker 6 (33:30):
Issue, and I felt like yesterday with the Knicks, regardless
of the outcome, let's, by some chance, say Stefan Castle
misses that shot that that right, and the Knicks come
back and win. Yesterday was the first time in twelve
to thirteen games the New York Knicks turned the cock

(33:51):
back to that old offense. There it wasn't Colin Anthony
Towns involved. Let's put col Anthony Towns in the corner
and the out to them months in the go one
on one that's going to get you in the problems
when you're playing the sentence on THEO spurs the two
good defensively.

Speaker 5 (34:09):
Right, get you out of here on this one real
quick game four? What are you thinking? What are you seeing?

Speaker 6 (34:14):
I have I beg this spurs yesterday. I bet the
Knicks tomorrow. I bet the nickt tomorrow. And the reason
not picking the nickt tomorrow is because one game in
between games makes a difference. When you look at having
two days in between and Whenby spoke about this and
this postgame pluster, when you have two games and you
can step away from the game for a day. You

(34:35):
saw it when being the Park in New York painting
he was the under port got shot up. So you
can disconnect from the game for a day and then
on the next day you can connect. You can reconnect
and dive back in when you only have one day
in between, there is no time to disconnect, and you're
only playing with the six man rotation. I'm interested to

(34:57):
see again how much energy the Spurs half for game four.
Can they match the energy they have for Game three
for two days off as opposed to Game four? Just
having won?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Hey, and I got to I'm impressed by Wemby to
get a rat to stand still so he can paint
him was amazing to me.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
In Central Park, we know.

Speaker 9 (35:16):
You could Parker.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Pray for me.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Man, Hey, I'm going against you. I'm going with the Spurs.
I'm going to I'm gonna say this. People gonna think
I'm crazy. I don't think the Knicks are gonna win
another game. That's where I'm at.

Speaker 6 (35:41):
Well, do you know what that first two games after
this won the first two games, everybody was telling me
that the Spurs we want going to win a game.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (35:49):
It's amazing how one game changes everybody's But it's more.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Than to me, it's more than one game because the
Spurs the fourteen oh run to tie the game, and
I know they lost that game, but they've played better
to me the last two games, and even after they
got beat up with a forty two point second quarter,
they came right back in the third quarter. Antonio came
right back and.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Took the lead. Tam, that's all I'm saying. All right,
we gotta run, all right, THK you.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
We gotta get up to it.

Speaker 9 (37:51):
The Knicks walked in into words of my frenchmen with
the area on the shoulders.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
They thought they would to show time lapists.

Speaker 9 (37:58):
But you know what it was like.

Speaker 11 (37:59):
It was like the five year old they walked into.

Speaker 9 (38:01):
The club with that twenty five year old, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 11 (38:04):
And then she locked guys with the other twenty five
year old.

Speaker 9 (38:07):
They say they started losing a little confidence, you know
in that twenty ard.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
How would you do that when you know Robinson right here.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Right here did that that.

Speaker 9 (38:17):
And he don't need to go get him trade and
all that stuff, and.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
You know, you know.

Speaker 9 (38:23):
He don't need Frank Thomlins saying I'm sure she gonna
like it because the twenty five.

Speaker 6 (38:29):
You know what I'm saying. So here's what.

Speaker 9 (38:31):
Happens in the young bug walk out there.

Speaker 6 (38:34):
With the club with the girl.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
In games seven, we'll walk out with the championship.

Speaker 9 (38:39):

talking about yesteryear, how Chris and Rob used to do

tail between his toes.

Speaker 6 (39:23):
We wouldn't hear from.

Speaker 9 (39:24):
Rob for about two shows. He would go silent treatment
for about two or three shows for how Christmas Saw
to beat him up and duke it out a spar Okay, listen,
you can go ahead, Rob, He's gonna pall like the
little baby. But guess what, Kelvin, you do not have
to acquiesce to keep him in his belly's best behavior. Listen,
I'm gonna give you a piece of advice. Shannon Sharp.

(39:44):
He goes Skip one time because Skip was eating them up.
You know, Shannon was bringing a butter knife to a
knife fight against Skip and Skipp was annohilating them. Shanna said,
I stayed up late watching this game so I could
tear you up. You need to get you like a
little intern to help you with your argument. Get some
stets to argue Rob to. He'll give you more credibility.
It'll give you more of a standing point to get

(40:06):
stats to beat up yours. So get a little in
turn and took it to Rob Man. So why does
he go quiet on you for the rest of the show.
This is what we want to hear ring.

Speaker 6 (40:14):
The better thing.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
