Speaker 1 (01:04):
Baseball players were gonna take all best of three series.
The Mets and Brewers are scoreless after three innings in Milwaukee,
and football Tampa Bay is in Atlanta, and that game
kicks off in about fifteen minutes. So we have a
lot happening in sports tonight. So this will be great
(01:24):
baseball Now football coming up?
Speaker 4 (01:27):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:28):
You know what time it is, Yes, sir, it is
time for Weis's Advice with Martin Weiss.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
We all need a little advice, so why not take
it from a true profession This guy's good.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
Advice, that's right. Weiss's Advice hosted by none other than
Fox Sports Radio Weekend hosts, Fox Sports Radio Update anchor
FS one producer, all around good guy Martin Weiss.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
I don't know about that. What's up, Martin?
Speaker 4 (02:00):
That was a great intro, but you better intro me
like that.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
Uh, Rob, I just want to know what part Rob
doesn't know about? Great guy Park.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, that's the part. I'm not sure.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
I'm just trying to get in his good graces. So
that way, whenever Martin takes over FS one or somewhere else,
he knows.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Who you would build him.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
You mean, yeah, you know it might be a take
over this place.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
So that's right, that's right. Shout out, Calvin, watch this
case spectrums hiring. You never know, You never know, all right.
So Weiss's Advice the segment that gives you the information
you need to make a little money bet on Thursday
night football and through the rest of the football weekend.
In case you wanted to know we did last week.
Why we brought barn back for week number two because
he went three and one.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Rob Parker takes some notes, my friend.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
No, it's all good because one still has to.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Work ninety jobs. But he's getting all the football picks.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
I'm just saying, all right, So Martin wise here gave
us a handful of football picks because he did so well,
gave us five a bonus edition of whis Let's get
started tonight's game Thursday Night Football the Atlanta Falcons Tampa
Bay Buccaneers. Rather than picking his side, he did the
smart thing he's doing. At the total, he's got the
under forty four. Martin tells why glad to say, rob.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
Gie, we'll see how smart it is in a few hours.
But I'm taking me under in this game, because hey,
let's start on the Falcon side of things. Kurt coleasins,
I don't care what they tell you coming out of Atlanta.
He can't move the same way it's been affecting their
offense last week they beat New Orleans or what Rob
Parker will call the fool gayzy field.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
But it was too gayzy.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
No touchdowns scored on the offensive side of the ball
for Atlanta in a game that they barely slept by
the Stains. All right. Now, look on the Buccaneers side
of things, you guy, Mike Devins, just questionable. They're missing
two other wide receivers. It's gonna be it's gonna be
who did it and why playing on the outside for
Tampa Bay to night. There's gonna be no points scored
(04:01):
in this game. And the cherry on top. Roan Tolbert
is the referee, okay, And most people don't take refereeing
into their handicapping, and they need to do it. Ron
Tolvert takes twenty twenty, forty three and twenty six to
the under. Okay, he throws flags, he takes touchdowns off
the board, And I'm taking this ticket to the window
(04:22):
for under forty four and a half.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I already had that in my Shekel city. So I'm
with you, Lockstep. This is an undergame. It looks like
that to me. I don't know where you are, Calvin.
Speaker 7 (04:32):
Yeah, I mean, I'm trying to find a way maybe
on the Tampa Bay side, because they when they score,
they have had some games where they got some good offense.
So there's a part of me that wants to say,
you know, they if they put up twenty eight, I'm like,
come on, the Falcons, you can put up on, you know,
another sixteen eighteen points. But I have to side with
you guys. I'm going under right now. The Falcons offense
is not what it was supposed to be advertised as
(04:53):
when they got Kirk Cousins and all those supposed weapons
that he has.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
So I'm going under two.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
It's not a knock on Martin. Weis, but if you
bet the under on every game is NFL season, you'd
be profitable.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
That's right.
Speaker 7 (05:03):
Scoring that how bad it is it is right now,
we've talked about really bad.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
All right, Here we go.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Game.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
This one's a big shocker to me because it's the
the highlight game of the weekend. We'll get into it
later in the show. Bill's at Texans the Stefon Diggs Bowl.
Martin doing the smart thing here though, rather than going
against the spreads, a you know what, just give me
Buffalo on the money line. Explingers out Martin cauz Man.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
Look, Buffalo is a slight favorite in this game, and
I'll go ahead and listen to me. Call me Lamb,
call me whatever. I'm gonna need to risk a half
points just to get ten cents better of a price.
I'll pay the premium to just take the money line
and just root for who wins. But the reason I'm
betting on the Bills, it's a clashing up down theory.
The Bills. We're up against the Jaguars, who are the
(05:46):
worst team in football, you know pretty much just about
Emma Carolina, whoever you want to bet then, so then
they come down against the Ravens get pounded by twenty five.
All right, that's not happening again. The other thing about
this too, the Texans side of things, are we sure
that this Texan team is as good as the one
that we thought it was going to be. Because if
(06:08):
I tell you that the team be Indianapolis by two,
beat Chicago by six, and it'd be Decter Thill by four,
you might think that that team is just an average
team that happened to stumble across free wins, not a
team that people ever scored a sneaky Super Bowl contender.
I think the Bills went on Sunday and the conversation
on Monday what's wrong with the Texans.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
I hate to agree, but I'm with you.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
I think the Texans are right now overrated.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
People were all on the.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Bandwagon because of some of the moves that they made
in the off season, of course Stefan Diggs being one
of them. But I'm with you. It's been a struggle.
It hasn't been the same.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Is it because they've seen more of CJ.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Stroud They can kind of figure it out once you
got tape or whatever. You know, there's a learning curve
your second year. And Buffalo has been up and down.
Against the Jaguars, they looked totally unstoppable. I like Buffalo
in this game, and I would take them, not the
money line, but you know with the points.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Bread well, I hate yeah. I hate to be three's
of ego here.
Speaker 7 (07:11):
I think Also Joe Mixing being nicked up for the
Texans concerns me a bit.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
He missed the second day.
Speaker 7 (07:16):
Of practice, So you're not going to have another cag
in your offense if you're the Texans. But to Martin's point,
you know, you gotta wonder when is this going to
become the explosive offense they had been last season. I
don't think they even if it gets better this week,
I think the Bills will outscore them. I think the
Bills look for a bounce back game. And I think
Josh Allen also reminds people why he was voted likely
(07:39):
to be MVP by one hundred plus of the players
in the league.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Weie's advice, Martin Wisse here on the couple of Fox
Sports Radium.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
We named it to the obvious advice? Is that not? Well?
Speaker 5 (07:49):
This one is is kind of crazy?
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Hold on, yeah, what was one more?
Speaker 5 (07:53):
We got a couple more number three, number three my
Raiders and the Denver Broncos Raiders. Martin doing what feels
like the obvious bet the under thirty six. Here's the
only problem, Martin. You can explain yourself if you would
have waited, if you waited twelve hours, twenty four hours,
thirty six hours, that number is falling across the board.
(08:13):
There's some spots thirty five and a half trending towards
thirty five, you know, before kickoff of tonight's game. So, Martin,
why do you feel good about getting at such a
big number relatively with the thirty six?
Speaker 6 (08:24):
Well, well, first of all, thirty six is a minuscule number,
but that gives me a thirty five is that much smaller?
Guys like, It's kind of every point matters significantly. That's
why they do those half point things. And if you
can get a total, thirty six is not a number
I love the place. I'd rather get thirty second. But
I still think in this game, Raiders and Broncos brob G.
(08:45):
You said they're your Raiders. They may be better up
as they were starting you at quarterback. Okay, that's right.
Ha'san O'Connell and Gardner Minshew DeVante Adams call cap I
want to be traded. Look, I think the Ravens actually
probably win this game. And the reason why are they
probably winning this game is because Denver at one point
last week in the first half at negative seven passing
(09:06):
yards all right, Courtland, they can't move the ball on offense.
No one can score in this game. The only way
this goes over is multiple defensive clutch stocks.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
That's the part too, right there. You just mentioned that
that I was thinking the same thing.
Speaker 7 (09:20):
This might go over simply because a stupid fluky plays
and we've seen a bunch of muff punts in the
NFL this season. We've seen some pick sixes throughout the
season as well, so I was like, Man, I wonder
if the defenses can come through. This is a terrible game.
We've talked about it all season long. Passing yards are down,
offenses are down. As Rob Jesus stated, all the unders
are making folks money. So I'm gonna stick with this
(09:40):
under as well and see if I can make a
couple bucks.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
I wish I could go against you. I just I
don't know where the numbers are coming from. And we
have talked about the NFL and all that. All the
numbers show. At one point, man, this was like a
free for all with points, everybody throwing on every down,
and now all of a sudden.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Things have changed. The worm has turned.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
So I'm with you on this.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
This is an undergame, Martin. All right, Game number four
Wis's advice. I don't know if this is a homer
pick or a hater pick. We'll find out though. Here
in a second New Orleans in the Chiefs, this is
a homer pick. Rob Parker's favorite quarterback Patrick Mahomes five
and a half point home favorites. Martin Weiss, who is
from the Bayou area, says, nah Man, give me Derek Carr,
big fan of Derek Carr, plus the five and a half.
(10:26):
Martin tell us why because it.
Speaker 6 (10:29):
Breaks down real silver roby here it is there's only
one instance, one instant, ever bet against Patrick Mahomes. And
it's not when he's an underdog. It's not when he's
a short favorite. It's only when he is a favorite
of more than a field goal. That's when you can
bet against Patrick Mahomes. Every other time he's twenty eight,
(10:49):
he's twenty five, eight and one against the spread. This
Saints defense is better than expected. Like I said, Atlanta,
out of the ends on the entire star Dan's move
the ball better on offense. They probably would have won
that game without Rashi Rice. Kansas City can't score. And
to be honest, when's the last time Kansas City beat
anybody by five? It's been over a year.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Well, we finally disagree here.
Speaker 7 (11:14):
Give me the Chiefs because simply because at some point
it's gotta look right.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
It does not looked right this season.
Speaker 7 (11:22):
It barely looked right most of last season, excluding the playoffs,
and at some point, just some guy's gonna step up.
Maybe it's a defense that's continued to carry them that
make some plays and get some pick six or gives
them a couple extra possessions, but has.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Got to get right.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
So this is just a gut check for me, just saying,
Daggett Patrick Mahoney is going to be Mahomie at some point.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Everything's trending downward for the Chiefs. I mean, and you
know what, for a long time, Martin is right. They
don't cover. I mean, they're not a good cover team.
Especially they get a lot of points because people expect
them to have this high powered offense. His first year
is a star when he threw fifty touchdowns. Remember that
was a long time ago. Tyreek Kill was on that team.
(12:05):
They're not the same team. They don't score like that.
But they went last week seventeen to ten off a
bad team. Yeah, I'm with you, Martin. It was over
five points though. Yeah, it is not the same Chiefs team.
So I might take this Whiite's advice a night, get
all right. Last game of Wie's advice, the bonus game.
I don't know why you're doing this, man. Usually when
you add more bets in the parlay, it don't work out.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
But Cardinals and the Niners nine ers seven and a
half point home favorites, Cardinal's coming off a terrible loss,
and even still Martin says, give me Arizona plus the
seven and a half tylas by Martin.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
All right, so same same thing, a flies updown theory.
No team is ever as bad as they looked the
week before, or as good as they looked to the
week before. Arizona ain't that bad, all right, they'll be Ocauz.
The San Francisco forty nine ers are living on their
name right now because they have too many names on
their injury report. Feel differently about this. If Fred Warner
(13:02):
wasn't hurt, but he is hurt, probably not going to play.
That means there's nobody going to be able to keep
up with Kyler Murray, who you may be surprised to know,
is the second most profitable quarterback against the spread as
an underdog since edging into the NFL, second only to
the crenially underrated Jared Golf. Gimme Kyler Burry and Arizona
(13:24):
Cardinals plus seven and a half, and you know what, folks,
I think they gotta shot to win this thing out right?
Speaker 7 (13:30):
Yeah, that's not crazy, that's not crazy. I'm with you
on this one because I think Arizona when they explode,
they explode. And Marvin Harrison Junr. Is looking for another
one of those games. With a couple of touchdowns in
the game, Kyler Murray, the run threat is already scary enough.
And then to go to the forty nine ers. It's
not that brock Perty hasn't played well.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Well.
Speaker 7 (13:49):
Listen, he's without weapons on both sides of the ball
right now. I think they keep it competitive and I
don't know who wins it, but I don't think it's
more than seven and a half points.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
I'm definitely going with the Cardinals.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
And don't forget I'm gonna go with the Cardinals as well.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
The forty nine ers played well, remember they scored the
first two touchdowns right against the Rams, and Rock Purty
played well in that game, and yet they still lost
because the defense gave it up at the end. So
I'm not that impressed by the forty nine ers right
now where they are, I think they're very beatable and
(14:26):
I like this pick, mister marm Weiss.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
This is a.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
Terrifying situation we find ourselves in. Facts Parker and I
have agreed on every single pick.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
All right, I win by one.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Yeah, that means right, that means you're going two and
three at best.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Oh my, all right, my marm wiss.
Speaker 6 (14:49):
Let's make some money.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
Let's make some bucks. Thank you, brother, appreciate it. Hey, Rob,
is he the MVP or the MOP? The most overrated player?
We'll tell you it is the with opp. Oh I'm
saying you said m OP, Yeah, MLP and you we
know you are now with opp. Rob Kelvin Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
Rob Parker Kelvin, w Washington coming to you on a
TV theme song Thursday of one of the most overrated
shows on TV ever.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
Oops, did I say that out loud? Did you hear me?
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Rob?
Speaker 3 (15:42):
No, I wasn't in this show.
Speaker 8 (15:43):
This was yeah, none of it before the seventies. No,
I wasn't a straight after the seventies. Yeah, anything after
I got you, Alex, anything after the seventy eight, He's
out of it. Maybe eighty three at the best. My
love side fund.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
I went to ninety nine or ninety eight, my goodness,
probably ninety one or something.
Speaker 9 (16:03):
Eight.

started with the seven nineteen seventy.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
This that's not maybe an eighties that that's it.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
Every theme song you pick, every sitcom you pick, you
gotta do it.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
You gotta go with the best of the best. You
don't just pick anything what it's what. You gotta have
some context to everything.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Do not but just now.
Speaker 7 (16:56):
Something in the last twenty years, Yes, I gave it
to you, Seinfeld, I was twenty for you always said
twenty yeah the last.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Twenty Okay, last time Rob watched the new game game
Game of Thrones.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
You don't even believe it.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
I thought, all right, Louisiana purchase that's right.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
The last time I watched a sitcom was you.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Couldn't even say game of throws? All right? So Rob,
the question is, I'm I want to throw this at you.
Is this player?
Speaker 7 (17:28):
It's a confusing vote that he's gotten so far from
some of his contemporaries within the NFL. So you remember
having the conversation about Josh Allen and he's perplexing because
the most recent poll done was the Athletic was player
saying he is most likely to win MVP.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
That's who they all voted for.
Speaker 7 (17:48):
Was Josh Allen was like the next right, he was
the next one to get the vote as in this season,
who would who they project will get it? But then
if you look back, not too long before that, a
couple of months earlier, there's a and it has him
as the most overrated player in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
So is it the MVP or is he the MP?
Speaker 7 (18:09):
I like to think that he is the MVP likely
this season because I think the things that he needed
to do to get that, and they also had a
bunch of front off his guys say, look if he
can turn down the turnovers, lower the turnover numbers, He's
got a shot to be MVP. He's done that this season,
hasn't turned the ball over like he has in years past.
(18:30):
He has his team playing well outside of the Baltimore
Ravens game.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Still, you said that, oh yeah, nod, that was gonna
be an MVP in that.
Speaker 7 (18:38):
That didn't help that. But it's between those two. If
you ask me, it's gonna be Lamar Jackson or someone else.
But I'm saying if it's between MVP or MP. For
Josh Allen, I think he's closer to the MVP. He
does things that others can't do outside of maybe one
or two other quarterbacks. He has his team, they're gonna
win a bunch of games, probably win ten, eleven, twelve games.
And I think he's also get that pick where you
(19:00):
know it happens in the NBA A lot. We're like, eh,
we're gonna give it to somebody else.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Why.
Speaker 7 (19:04):
I'm just tired of Jordan winning. I'm tired of Lebron winning.
I don't want Nakolo Yokis away. Let's give it to
him beat And I think he's closer to getting that
as well, so if his numbers are comparable to a
Lamar or if it's a late Serge by Patrick Mahomes
or Sam Donald, people are gonna say, let's give it
to him. He deserves and his team's playing well, let's
give it to him. So he's close to the MVP,
then overrated. If you ask me, there's some other guys
(19:25):
I put it overrated.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
He's close to overrated, and I'm not buying into that.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
They're gonna give him a charity MVP because they're tired
of giving it to other people. I mean, Aaron Rodgers
won for Peyton Manning won five, Brett fav won three
in a row. So where's the where's the burnout? When
it comes to them, They're not gonna give it to
him just because they don't want to give Lamar another one.
They'll give it to him on his merit, And so
(19:51):
far he hasn't been close to winning an MVP.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
I don't see what I mean.
Speaker 7 (19:54):
He's not being closed. He has been close. He's finished
in at the top five the last couple of seasons.
He's been close the top five.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Lamar got every vote except for one first place vote,
so it was was won away from unanimous. He also
wanted unanimously a couple of years before that. So when
was he close with the question?
Speaker 6 (20:14):
Is for me?
Speaker 4 (20:15):
It's not is he going to win it? The question?
You know what you're saying.
Speaker 7 (20:18):
I think I think you think he's closer to overrate.
But but you're only based too, I have to I
get it, But you're basing it off of playoff perfer not.
I'm talking about last year.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
There was a bad stretch where he didn't play that
well and the offense turned to running the football when
they ran off the last five or six Go look
at his numbers.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
They weren't great, but the offense changed, that's all.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:43):
I like what I've seen from him thus far, and
I like what I've seen from him in a multitude
of things. They have a new offensive coordinator there now.
I think it's nine and two with the offenseive coordinator.
Of course, including that Baltimore game. Uh, he's found a
way to turn the ball over a lot less than
he historically has done. And I think he's also playing
the podium game well too. He's saying the right things.
He had a chance to take shots at Stefon Diggs.
(21:05):
He didn't and I think you know that those types
of things vote well when it comes to votes as well,
especially if he gets close where it's you know, close
between he and one other person, and a lot of
times it just comes down to those little, small fine points.
He's spreading the ball around to something that he hadn't
done to a variety of players too. Stefan Das is gone,
and now he's forced to hit a bunch of different
(21:25):
players and have those guys catching the balls and not
just focusing on a singular player. So I like what
I've seen him thus far, again sans the Baltimore Ravens team,
which we all you and I I know at least
believe they are the best team in football. So yeah,
I think he's in line for his best season this year, which, again,
(21:45):
outside of a Lamar Jackson, maybe a one other if
Sam Donald continue to play out of his mind, I
think he's in closer to being an MVP than overrate.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
I don't understand. I don't get what will be overrated
about him.
Speaker 7 (21:56):
His team wins a bunch of games, he's plays pretty
well for the most part, obviously has a stinker here
or there, and his teams continue to be in the
postseas So I don't get how he can be close
to overrated?
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Help me understand that, Well, it's overrated just.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Means people think you're better. It's not that they don't
think he's good, but the ranting and raving about how
good he is. Some people question exactly if that's all warranted.
Not that he's not a good player. We all know
he's a really good quarterback. How good is the question?
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, We want to
hear from you. Is Josh Allen closer to MVP or
(22:30):
closer to the most overrated player? Where would you have
to pick one? And obviously that's a big gap, right,
but we need you to take a stand. No middle
of the road, none of that.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
We don't call in.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
If you got a middle of a road, take all right,
call Jim Rome.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
We don't want to hear that eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox, and we want to get your take
and have one.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

FSR to listen live.
Speaker 7 (23:03):
Coming to you live from the Tirack dot com Studios.
It is the O coop, Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington.
Having a conversation about the league. Some of the players
in the league said that Josh Allen is the most
overrated player, just a couple of months before saying he's
most likely to be MVP.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
So which one is?
Speaker 7 (23:21):
Is he closer to being an MVP or closer to
being an MP most overrated player?
Speaker 4 (23:26):
That's what we're asking you. Eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
So we got robbed, we got Let's kick it off
with Anthony and Fresno, California. You're on the odd couple
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Anthony?
Speaker 9 (23:36):
Hey, Josh Allen reminds you of a lot of those
Top twelve teams that just have the misfortune to run
into Pete Carroll's USC squads. Ah, really really good teams.
But it don't matter because see Carroll and Josh Allen
just hoppings to be playing in the AFC at the
same exact time as Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
And Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Yeah, but great players, they break through. I understand that.
So wait, so wait, so what is he? Is he
closer to the MP or MVP? Brother.
Speaker 9 (24:04):
So you would say you're close to the MVP, but
close doesn't really mean much. He didn't getting it there.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
All right, We appreciate the call, no doubt. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Let's go to Chase in Austin, Texas. You're on the
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Oh he's not. I'm sorry about that.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
We lost him, all right, and we go to eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox if you do want to
jump in. Brewers did not score Man on second zero
for seven with runners and scoring position, it remains scoreless
tie and we're in the what top of the sixth
in Milwaukee.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
So for people who are not near a TV or radio,
listen to the ball game. Will keep you updated.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, I mean to Josh Allen. He's a talented guy. No,
I'm not trying to discount his credit.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
That's count it. But you get tired.
Speaker 7 (24:49):
You focus on on the end result of which I
understand and I get. Ultimately, you played a game, play
the game to win.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
We understand that. But like man, you know, I think
one of the fundamental different it is between you and I.
Speaker 7 (25:01):
I understand the end, but you gotta keep getting there,
meaning I'm gonna get over this hill.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
At a certain point, right, and you don't always get
there though.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
That that that's that's false. You keep saying uh, And
I bring up Marv Levy all the time as the
coach and a.
Speaker 7 (25:15):
Buff Marve leave me alone is what he wants to
tell your leave me alone.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
But he went to four straight Super bowl Nobody considers
him the greatest coach in NFL history.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
You know why, but why couldn't they win? But to go,
but it can be one of the best. That's why
he's he went there.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Yeah, before you he got a dubious distinction of losing
four straight Super Bowls in a RUW.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
That states that's that is things that does stink, But
nobody wants that. Do you want to know that a
loser like that.
Speaker 7 (25:45):
A great example is we keep talking about Josh Allen
and to the callers point a second ago, I look
at Lamar Jackson is the same way.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Patrick Mahomes is the.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Tom Brady of his era and not talking about as
far as stylistically, but just winning, kind of being the
guy controlling a conference, really even controlling the league. And
Peyton Manning, you could argue it was more talented, more gifted,
understood the quarterback position, maybe more than Tom Brady for
at least a large portion of their career. But he
couldn't get over the hump of the Patriots. He had
to keep showing up before he could finally do it.
(26:16):
And he finally did it and he was able to
go and get a ring. So that's my thing, is
all I'm saying, is Lamar Jackson hasn't gotten it done.
Oh man, he hasn't done yet. I'm like, hey, he
keeps showing up, and one of these days you're gonna knocking.
That door is gonna open. One of these days you're
gonna go and you're gonna be able to, you know,
overdo that that giant step over that giant final.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
So that's my whole point is keep showing up. Who
we got?
Speaker 1 (26:39):
We got Jake and Kansas. You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
What's up, Jake?
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Hey, what's up? Guys?
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Doing good? How are you? What's up? Jake?
Speaker 6 (26:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (26:50):
Definitely, MP.
Speaker 6 (26:52):
Josh Allen is the next coming of Jim Kelly.
Speaker 9 (26:55):
Is he could even get to a Super Bowl or two,
He's just gonna choke.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
Him that as well.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Dah and Jim Kelly was a great quarterback. And that's
the point, Kelvin. Can you imagine if they have both
of these guys and have these great teams and runs
and come away with nothing like like that's what Jim
Kelly man Jim Kelly to get to the super Bowl
war times.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Yeah, I know wants the most valuable player, most overrated player.
If you ain't got the hard ware for it, buddy,
there you.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
Go, all right. I like the way y'all know.
Speaker 7 (27:28):
No, y'all do, no rob Gi, Am I missing something
because I thought the question was MVP. We didn't say
he was about to be super Bowl MVP. We're saying MVP.
Y'all acting like if you don't win the super Bowl,
he can't be an MVP on his way to a
super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
But they just don't think. I think that. There's no
daying me. No, let me dam me YouTube YouTube.
Speaker 7 (27:46):
Mickey Ficky, Okay, don't be daying me you too.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
You were in the days.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
I'm just trying to help you understand. Comprehend though.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
No, you're you're saying.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
You guys keep saying if he gets he's not gonna
have the hardware, not gonna win the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
Super Bowl is post voting on MVP.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
James in Saint Louis, the baseball capital of America.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
You're in the ond couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
What's up, James, Hey, Rob, this is James.
Speaker 6 (28:14):
I just want to call in because, in my opinion, know,
I definitely want to go with MVP here. I know
I'm kind of going against you.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
Uh, that's okay, Live your life, live your truth.
Speaker 6 (28:26):
Yeah. I mean, honestly, he had a very very good game,
and I understand the Jaguars aren't up to par, but
I just thought, you know, they did.
Speaker 9 (28:34):
A really good job with what they needed to do.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
I Ravens are a different breed and I think they're
going to win the division. I think they have a
very good chance of going to the AFC Championship.
Speaker 9 (28:48):
I'll take your call. I'll take that rid off the year.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Thanks guys, I love the show.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
Rob, You're my favorite.
Speaker 9 (28:54):
Like I talk, I talk to you on Twitter all
the time.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
I love you. Thank you, James, mark Man. I appreciate
that you're doing great.
Speaker 9 (29:01):
You're doing great.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
I appreciate it. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Yeah, that's nice to hear. Appreciate you, James.
Speaker 7 (29:06):
Hold on, I like the way you said that that's
nice to hear. Pardon, you know, put a little more,
put a little more emphasis on that. It's not to
hear you know, you kinda he said, he's he likes
me too, and you kinda that's nice to hear.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
That's cool.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
I like the way you did that. Sorry about that.
You want me to you know, Yeah, at least you
got a shout out? What about me and Rob G?
I knowd y'all don't have.
Speaker 7 (29:25):
To get shot, y'all. You already know, y'all the unsung heroes,
you already know that they're not on the sung, not
by not by me. I sing your praises all the time,
you do, right, I do? And by the way, I
know what I seen y'all. Praises to who it matters most,
to the people behind the scenes, the bosses too.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
That's that's that. That's a big thing.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
Me and Alex and Steve were like the offensive line
of the radio show where you notice us unless something
goes bad, in which case is oh man man the
wrong information. Other than that, though it's all good, all.
Speaker 7 (29:55):
These false starts, well, don't give us the wrong information.
On shop talk as well, Rob g'z gonna have us
set up for shop talk. It is the odd couple

mino would be lost. Say what, No, would be lost.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Here we go down on the chore of that desert
all again, just ship for two millionaire and he got
his wife.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
He got his wife. We saw who else? Ye're wrong,
gay Ligains.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
This is this is what I don't understand, Calvin.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Yes, why would a millionaire be on a three hour
tour with all those clothes?
Speaker 4 (31:25):
A millionaire? I wonder he's on a three hour tour
that you bought tickets for ten bucks.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
I don't get and he has clothes to se that
and a millionaire back then? Was Dagnar a billionaire?
Speaker 6 (31:38):
Right?
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Because you know that money back in the seventies, that's
big money.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Yeah, okay, So I mean, you know that's a classic
one as well. So I'm not too mad at you.
Speaker 7 (31:46):
But man, we're gonna do We're gonna definitely get you
something from the eighties. At some point it is Fox
Sports Radio. You are listening to the Eye Couple, Rod
Parker Kelvin Washington Company live from the tyrack dot com studios.

Speaker 7 (32:15):
All right, Rob, So, I saw that there was some
smoke going on between some fast food companies, so let's
do some shop talk. I want to explain on the
other side, nobody's not being a bump.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Hump, you know that. Ain't nobody you talking about whoever?
Whatever you want to.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
In the box?
Speaker 4 (32:33):
Wait, shup.
Speaker 7 (32:37):
So I saw some smoke because Habit Burger. Now, I
don't know where they are everywhere, but I know clearly
they're in California. They may be in a couple other
states on the West Coast.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Pretty good. I messed with Habit Burger for good, for sure.
But they wanted to smoke because they got on old diamonds.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
When I eat more than one, I have a monkey
on my back when I have.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
To, I don't get so mad you Right now, he's
saying they got a bad habit. I'm sorry I had.
Speaker 7 (33:03):
To explain it. You know what they say if I
had to explain the joke, Rob, So back to your
bad habit and bad joke birth.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
There are people all over America that caught had doubled over.
He's probably gonna get a ticket.
Speaker 7 (33:15):
They just crash because they can't believe you would crack
that whack the joke. That's what they just said. And hey,
most of them are your family member. They're all in
New York.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
Shut up and let me get the point out.
Speaker 7 (33:24):
Okay, they put up a billboard that said, hey, in
and Out, congrats on being number two.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
And if you live out here on the West coast,
in and Out is a staple.
Speaker 7 (33:34):
It's universally loved and Harold it as the burger spot
in Cali and even in Arizona, Nevada.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
So the question to you, Rob Parker is.
Speaker 7 (33:43):
And Alex and Robbie and Steve if he's still listening
there too, what is the singular fast food restaurant you
would go to if you can only have that one
for the rest of your life.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
You only get that one. Choose wisely?
Speaker 3 (34:01):
What anything just fast food?
Speaker 7 (34:04):
Any fast food restaurant, you only get the one for
the rest of your life.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
What is it going to be?
Speaker 7 (34:10):
It's a very tough question, and my I used to
be go to answer has fallen off so hard.
Speaker 4 (34:16):
I can no longer give them this position anymore.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
I think I'm going with churches, churches, fried chicken churches.
Speaker 7 (34:24):
Just you talk about boil over churches just passed out't
they didn't think anybody was gonna say them.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
I like churches chicken. I like their biscuits too, with
the butter and what else did they put on the
top the.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
People?
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Butter and honey, it's delicious, their biscuits when they're hot,
and just come out.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
I love churches.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Okay, I'm sorry, I'm you know, I go to my
own I walk to my own beat.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
I'm not following the masters. I'm not saying McDonald's or
Jack in the box or.
Speaker 7 (34:55):
So far you're wrong, wrong. I don't think I mean
McDonald's is McDonald's. But I don't think anybody's saying Jack
in the box. Hope, not Rob j what you got.
Speaker 5 (35:03):
I mean, I don't want to be a homer, but
I think the obvious answer is in and out. Just okay,
but hold on, okay.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
That's the only one.
Speaker 7 (35:11):
Meaning the day you wanted a burger, you're not I
mean a chicken this or that. You're only getting burgers.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
Yeah. But the thing is they got something called the
secret many I don't know that. You get yourself some
animal style fries, yourself a grilled cheese, samwich, samwich, neopolitan shake,
whatever you whatever fancies you know floats your boat, and
you know that it's at least going to be high
quality meats and whatnot relative.
Speaker 7 (35:36):
To I listened. I'm never ever ever going to be
mad at anybody picking in and out. I will just
say it's a lack of variety. If it's the only
one fast food I'm gonna get forever.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Well, let me ask Alex this, because they've tried to
have these healthy fast.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Food Russell Kevin Hart just had one.
Speaker 4 (35:53):
Kevin just closed just closed down. Why is that, Alex issue?
Speaker 3 (35:58):
You got healthy fast food player?
Speaker 5 (36:00):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Is that it?
Speaker 10 (36:00):
It's just it's not gonna work because the people are
going to eat there don't care if it's healthy. You
gotta like really understand that. It's like, for example, right
a sports fan. A sports fan isn't worried about having
the best climate or the best food of it. They
just want to hot dogs, some drinks. They're chilling right
for me, my go to spot that I could eat
for the rest of my life. And they actually have
one of the best hidden burgers in the world is
(36:22):
Del Taco.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
They got good fries there too. Burger there pretty well,
Double Del They're good. I'm telling you that the Crinkle
cut their breakfast. They have like their egg burritos and stuff.
They're lunch ei. I'm just saying I was a kid,
I eat there all the time. I can say this
without any discretion. When I first got my license, the
first place I drove to was Del Taco.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
Well, I mean that makes sense. You're sixteen, seventeen years old,
So I can't put some speck on that. Okay, I didn't.
Speaker 7 (36:49):
I'm gonna put some respect on it. But I didn't
think Del Taco was going to make the list.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
I'm not gonna lie I didn't. I didn't think they
would make it fun.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
So let's feel your high brow fast food restaurants were
all peons.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
No, you're not in it.
Speaker 7 (37:00):
Out is a great is a great when I'm not
mad at that, and low key A sleeper would be
Habitburger because you again, for me, it's a variety.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
It used to be Wendy's, but Wendy's ain't Wendy and
no more.
Speaker 7 (37:09):
Dave Thomas, the road run is great right now, and
how Wendy's has fallen off so hard it is not
hitting the same. But I think for me, the answer
is gonna have to be Chick fil A because again,
I can have sandwiches, I can have wraps, I can
have soups, I can have salad. I got ice cream,
you know, milkshakes ice cream, all that good stuff. So
I think Chick fil A, not that it's the best
(37:29):
per se, but I'm gonna be able to get a
variety of things where I can get one day, this
one day that.
Speaker 5 (37:35):
You can't go on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Say that's why I'm out. Chick fil A's out for me,
No Sunday on Sunday.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
I can't lie.
Speaker 7 (37:42):
That is a good man, rob g you smoked me
with that one. I ain't gonna lie you. You set
me back with that one.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
Right there, Matt dub at home, like, man, I get
up fast food to days in at his house watching
NFL football. I'm gonna get Chick fil A and he
shows up.
Speaker 7 (37:55):
You know, you know what a shot in this. But
they're getting closed all around the country. Now, Sha sha
shake Shack was in the running. But Steve, Steve, you
got anything real quick?
Speaker 5 (38:04):
I said, Nah, Man, I don't know you fast food.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
Probably shake Shack.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Are they closing up because people on buying fifteen dollars
Hamburgers anymore?
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Yeah, that's the same thing with five guys too. Man.
Speaker 7 (38:15):
Right, So you go in there, You're like, hold on,
hold on, why do I gotta pay you fifty five
guys like fifty five dollars for a burger.
Speaker 4 (38:20):
They're getting carried away with that too. So churches do
you always? You know what?
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Rob?
Speaker 7 (38:24):
If nothing else, You always surprised me, brother, because I
didn't think anybody was gonna say anything about churches.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
See you like you look at my TV shows. You
go all white shoulder and then here the brother with
the fried chicken spot.
Speaker 7 (38:35):
You got to issue somebody it up for their wire. Rob,
you keep the stereotypes of light. We'll talk about it next.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
Sport
