He joins us, co-host of The podcast, It's a Football Podcast.
We'll do that and much more. So a lot to
get to in our number two of the program. Alex,
(01:59):
you do have some odd mob, the YouTubians, as we
call them.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Yes, our henchmen in the virtual world.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
So they're watching and they're commenting on the odd mob.
What do we got?
Speaker 4 (02:08):
So all... So incredible support for Rob Parker here. We
have Yumi Tokushiki and he says, thank you. I felt
something coming there. It says double shift for Rob today.
Question mark. We already know that's a double shift. And
then we have right here, too. Let's see. Oh, this
one's funny. ZachFL1893 says, Rob getting overtime pay? Question, question.
(02:31):
No overtime pay. No overtime pay.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
And then, of course, you know, this one right here.
I like Zach keeping everybody accountable. He said, Kelvin lazy.
Rob working double today for the fam.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
There we go. There we go.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Love to see that. And then also Reggie says, where's Kelvin?
Company man. You know how it is. And then this
one's for you, Mr. Let's see here. Oh, hold on here.
Dwash says DMX Martin Weiss Live. I guess that's a
new nickname for you. I don't know if that's a
good thing or a bad thing. DMX ain't here, so
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
What hat is that you got on? What is that?
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Well, your glasses are right there. It says Strickland and
Propane on the hat.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
What is that?
Speaker 5 (03:07):
It's from a TV show that debuted in the 90s,
so that's about 30 years past your time.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Well, yeah. I would stop watching TV by then. Exactly.
Why would Rob have heard of King of the Hill?
I did see the reruns. It comes on late at
night sometimes. I have seen it. That's what they put
on after I Love Lucy goes off? No, no.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
You mean Perry Mason. But I told you before, Alex,
look it up real quick. When did Seinfeld go off
the air? What was the last episode? Was that 98, 99?
Speaker 2 (03:34):
When was the last episode of Seinfeld?
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Let's see. So it says here, let me do a
little quick search.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
May 14th, 1998. After nine seasons. Wow.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
That's the last regularly scheduled television show I watched.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
You're kidding me. Including Monday Night Football. No, I'm just kidding.
I'm not talking about sports. I'm talking about like a
scripted show.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
Oh, hey, if you ask the right person, they're going
to say the script was out Saturday night in Ann Arbor.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh, definitely. All right, so.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Last one for you, Rob.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
King of New York says, I appreciate this show so much.
Thank you, guys. Thank you for listening.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yep, no doubt. Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Yeah, I just, I watch news and sports basically and reruns.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I don't watch any current show. At all? At all.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
I know.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Rob, when's the last time you went to the movie theater?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
That's another great question.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
King of the Hill's been on reruns for the last
20 years.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
No, I get it.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
And he said, I only watch reruns. No, you only
watch certain reruns. No, but I watch reruns. Because of
that channel H & I, Heroes and Icons. Last time
I went to the movie, let me see, it was G.I.
Joe with Kung Fu Grip.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 7 (04:48):
Stop.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Stop.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Rob. Last time I went to the movie theaters, they
still mop the floors.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Oh, my God. Unfortunately, no. That might be the case.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
It's been a while. But anyway, here we go. Hour
number two. And do we have the Lane Kiffin comments
at halftime? Martin, did you like Lane Kiffin kicking, opening
up a can of whoop-ass on Clemson?
Speaker 2 (05:15):
And, of course, he was trying to hold his tongue.
He couldn't help himself. Trying to hold his tongue.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
Right.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Okay, sure. Okay. Hold me back. Hold me back.
Speaker 8 (05:24):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
Okay, buddy.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, that wasn't easy.
Speaker 8 (05:27):
As much as I feel for the players, and I
believe that you fight for what you believe in, and
I believe these kids have an opportunity to play, just
like all the other kids around the country that are
winning court cases and being put on rosters.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
But at the same time, I'm the head coach.
Speaker 8 (05:43):
Of LSU, and I had to make a decision that
is for the big picture of LSU and the LSU
football program. with the uncertainties of what potentially could have
come by adding them to the roster. And we couldn't
get exact reasons or exact what that would mean if
we added them.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
We'll make adjustments. We've got to play better in the
second half. We can't give away something like the first turnover, man.
This ball, whatever, 38-0.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Thank you, guys.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Good map. Everything to say, not say. Imagine if we
had pro players. There we go. What would happen if
we had, what would happen if we had pro players?
Speaker 5 (06:21):
I like how, I like how lane starts to run away,
but make sure he leans in the Holly Rose microphone.
I believe it was Holly row to say, I was
trying to hold my tongue and say, imagine if we
had pro players.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (06:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Okay, buddy. You knew exactly what you were doing with that.
Lane Kiffin. is a troll.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
And I am not necessarily saying that.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
He's my hero, so do not. Lane Kiffin is my hero.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
He is a troll.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Alex knows it. I'm trying to tell a couple people
he is my hero. And I want him to bring
college football down to his knees. And the idea that
they think this is still amateur football when they've been
paying people. And I love to see it. A couple people,
(07:08):
Mike Florio is on my side. They're not amateurs. They're
professional athletes. They pay money for these kids to play football. Also,
Reese Davis from ESPN is on board with that as well.
Where are you? Are they professionals or amateurs?
Speaker 7 (07:24):
No.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
College football. They're professional athletes.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Once you get paid, once you pay people, you're a professional.
They're like, well, he went into an NFL camp, so
he can't come back to college.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
What?
Speaker 6 (07:36):
What?
Speaker 2 (07:36):
J.R.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Smith played like 13 years in the NBA and then
played college golf and took some kids' spots.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
I'm just saying, don't tell me about people.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
There are 47-year-olds with a year of eligibility, Martin, who
have played division and three football. 47-year-olds.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
So I don't have the probe thing is to me silly.
Even when I was in college before NIL, I was
I was at the I saw Michigan and how the
Michigan football industrial complex worked. Right. Like I saw like
Denard Robinson should have been paid way more than he
may have potentially allegedly got to go to Michigan because
he was the entire team when I was there. I
(08:17):
had no problem with professional football. I mean, college athletes
getting paid and you want to deem them to be professional.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
That's one thing.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Now, going to the NFL and coming back, that's something different.
But Lane Kiffin in general has developed this... Do you
see the video of him? It was somebody snuck a
video at halftime. Rob, did you see the video of
him addressing the team at half?
Speaker 3 (08:40):
No. So.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I didn't see that video.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
It informed my opinion on this a little bit more
because Lane has said it, and he said it to
Pat McAfee pregame. He said it to his team at halftime.
He said it after the game. He goes, I'm the
most hated man in America. And he goes, in the
locker room, he says, everybody hates us. Everybody hates us.
What are you going to do about it? What are
(09:03):
you going to do about it? He's like, make them feel.
So he's like, literally, he's using it as a rallying cry.
Which is fine. I have no issue with that.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
All I'm saying is the college football has done this
to themselves, and that's why they're going to lose in court.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Martin, I bring it up over and over. NIL, they
were against NIL.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
And if you remember, the NCAA said that Kellogg, because
the governor here, Newsom, signed it into law.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
With the NIL.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
And they said if those schools start collecting money to kids,
they won't be able to participate in the NCAA.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
You remember that?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
And all the California schools, Stanford, UCLA, USC, oh, yeah,
they won't be a part of the threat of it. And,
of course, that went by the wayside. College football has
always wanted to push back on this stuff. Which one
is it? Once you start paying people, what is the issue?
They're professional athletes. So what?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
It doesn't make sense.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
And that is the reason why Lane Kiffin is my hero.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Oh, no.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
I can fly.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
You are the wind beneath my wings.
Speaker 5 (10:26):
I'm honestly a little disappointed. I'm used to Rob Parker
on the vocals.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
No, no, no.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
This one I couldn't do. All I wanted to get
out there was Lane Kiffin is my hero. And Lane Kiffin,
I don't care that you won 51-10 and you blowed
out Clemson. I want you to add those players to
your roster and keep pouring it on. I want you
to pour it on as much as you can. Add
(10:52):
the players you want. Win a national championship. uh, after
rest of college football and what they're trying to do
playing this two sided street.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Oh yeah. Well, they're getting money, but they're not this.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
And these other kids, because they were in a camp,
they didn't play in the Superbowl for the Patriots last
year and trying to come back to college.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
They have a.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Year of eligibility left. They should be able to go
back to college and play. I have no issue whatsoever with,
And that's why Lane Kiffin keeping up this fight and
being behind these kids and giving them an opportunity, Martin,
where they got cut, right, or from the practice squad,
where they can go in college and make money. They
can still play football because they have eligibility and make money.
(11:34):
Anybody who's against those kids doing that and making money,
what world are we living in?
Speaker 2 (11:40):
What world are we living in? Generally, when you leave.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
A college football team, you leave that college football team.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
I'm OK with that. That's in the past. That's the past.
It doesn't matter. No, it doesn't matter the past.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
Like if when Alberto Mendoza transferred out of Indiana, if
nobody wanted to sign him, guess what? He'd just be
floating in the portal. Instead, he's a starting quarterback. Yeah,
but these are people that people want.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
And you're right.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
If nobody wants you, then you're right. They want it.
They want them on LSU. They think they can add
to the team. They got a year of eligibility. The
NCAA is the one who set up the five for five.
I thought it was extra nuggets when it comes to
a Wendy's bag.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
I mean, with the five for five.
Speaker 5 (12:22):
I think the whole reason Lane Kiffin is doing this
is he just operates in a place that he manufactures
controversy everywhere.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Left, right, and center.
Speaker 5 (12:31):
And I think it's like a mix between Pete Carroll
and Nick Saban. And Pete Carroll, like Lane Kiffin, wants
to have all the celebrities at the game like Pete
Carroll had, Snoop Dogg and all that when he was
coaching under him. And then when you watch his teams play,
to his credit, when you watch his teams play, especially
over the last few years at Ole Miss and now
in game one of LSU, They're physical. They're effective offensively.
(12:56):
And they come out and will kick teams' asses when
they're supposed to. So you can't say they were distracted
by it.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
No, but my question to you, he obviously has a
strong team. We saw what they did. would you add
the other players or not? Like, he's already gotten the
clearance from the.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Courts, so he can do it. He didn't do it
for week one.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
He wanted to figure it all out and decide if
it's maybe week two or three or how this is
going to work, and they want to come to some
sort of.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Where it's going to work for everybody.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
And so I give him that, that he wasn't that, oh, yeah,
just rush out there and go ahead and play.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
So he didn't do that. We want to hear from you,
877-99 on Fox.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
I think he should pile on, get those players, and
add them to the roster and beat up everybody in
college football if you can.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Beat them up bad. Where are you? Are you with Martin?
No way, no how. You don't want to see those
guys suit up? For LSU, are you with me?
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Lane Kiffin is our hero, and we want anybody who
has eligibility to be able to play college football. I'm
for that. I'm here for that. I'm good with that.
Lane Kiffin, you're my man. You're my hero. I'm cool
with it. So it is the odd couple.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
877-99 on Fox.
Speaker 7 (14:17):
877-996-6363.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Is the phone number. So hit us up.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Remember, we value your opinion and we consider like we
want you to be a part of the show, not
an outsider.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
877-99 on Fox. Stick and stay.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Especially if you agree with Lane Kiffin in that they're the.
Speaker 8 (14:49):
Between you and I, we're about the two most hated
people there are.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
No doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
College football is back, and there's no better place to
trade the action than Couchy, America's number one prediction market platform.
Texas trading at 52% to beat Ohio State, meaning a
$ 100 trade pays out $ 185 to win. The Buckeyes are
the number one team in the country, but the Longhorns, yep,
(15:16):
they have the home field advantage and a trophy advantage.
a Heisman Trophy candidate at quarterback. So this should be
a heck of a matchup.
Speaker 7 (15:25):

Speaker 2 (20:13):
No, I get it.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
And he said, I only watch reruns. No, you only
watch certain reruns. No, but I watch reruns. Because of
that channel H & I, Heroes and Icons.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Last time I went to the movie, let me see,
it was G.I. Joe with Kung Fu Grip. No, I'm
just kidding.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Stop.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Stop.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
Rob. Last time I went to the movie theaters, they
still mop the floors.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Oh, my God. Unfortunately, no. That might be the case.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
It's been a while. But anyway, here we go. Hour
number two. And do we have the Lane Kiffin comments.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
At halftime?
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Martin, did you like Lane Kiffin kicking, opening up a
can of whoop-ass on Clemson?
Speaker 2 (20:53):
And, of course, he was trying to hold his tongue.
He couldn't help himself. Trying to hold his tongue.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Right.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Okay, sure. Okay. Hold me back. Hold me back.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
Okay, buddy.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, that wasn't easy.
Speaker 8 (21:05):
As much as I feel for the players, and I
believe that you fight for what you believe in, and
I believe these kids have an opportunity to play, just
like all the other kids around the country that are
winning court cases and being put on rosters. But at
the same time, I'm the head coach of LSU, and
I had to make a decision that is for the
(21:26):
big picture of LSU and the LSU football program. with
the uncertainties of what potentially could have come by adding
them to the roster. And we couldn't get exact reasons
or exact what that would mean if we added them.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
We'll make adjustments. We've got to play better in the
second half. We can't give away something like the first turnover, man.
This ball, whatever, 38-0.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
Thank you, guys.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Good map.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Everything to say, not say.
Speaker 9 (21:49):
Imagine if we had pro players.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
There we go. What would happen if we had, what
would happen if we had pro players?
Speaker 5 (22:00):
I like how, I like how lane starts to run away,
but make sure he leans in the Holly Rose microphone.
I believe it was Holly row to say, I was
trying to hold my tongue and say, imagine if we
had pro players.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Yeah, okay, buddy. You knew exactly what you were doing
with that.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
Lane Kiffin is a troll. And I am not necessarily
saying that in a.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
He's my hero, so do not— Lane Kiffin is my hero.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
He is a troll.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Alex knows it. I'm trying to tell a couple people
he is my hero. And I want— For what? I
want him to bring college football— Down to his knees.
And the idea that they think this is still amateur
football when they've been paying people. And I love to
see it. A couple people, Mike Florio is on my side.
(22:49):
They're not amateurs. They're professional athletes. They pay money for
these kids to play football. Also, Reese Davis from ESPN
is on board with that as well.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Where are you? Are they professionals or amateurs?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
No.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
College football. They're professionals.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Once you get paid, once you pay people, you're a professional.
They're like, well, he went into an NFL camp, so
he can't come back to college.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
What?
Speaker 4 (23:15):
J.R.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Smith played like 13 years in the NBA and then
played college golf and took some kids' spots.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
I'm just saying, don't tell me about people.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
There are 47-year-olds with a year of eligibility, Martin, who
have played division and three football.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
47-year-olds. It doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
So I don't have the probe thing is to me silly.
Even when I was in college before NIL, I was
I was at the I saw Michigan and how the
Michigan football industrial complex worked.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Right.
Speaker 5 (23:46):
Like I saw like Denard Robinson should have been paid
way more than he may have potentially allegedly got to
go to Michigan because he was the entire team when
I was there. I had no problem with professional football.
I mean, college athletes getting paid and you want to
deem them to be professional.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
That's one thing.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
Now, going to the NFL and coming back, that's something different.
But Lane Kiffin in general has developed this... Do you
see the video of him? It was somebody snuck a
video at halftime. Rob, did you see the video of
him addressing the team at half?
Speaker 3 (24:18):
No. So.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
I didn't see that video.
Speaker 5 (24:21):
It informed my opinion on this a little bit more
because Lane has said it, and he said it to
Pat McAfee pregame. He said it to his team at halftime.
He said it after the game. He goes, I'm the
most hated man in America. And he goes, in the
locker room, he says, everybody hates us. Everybody hates us.
What are you going to do about it? What are
(24:42):
you going to do about it? He's like, make them feel.
So he's like, literally, he's using it as a rallying cry.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Which is fine. I have no issue with that.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
All I'm saying is the college football has done this
to themselves, and that's why they're going to lose in court. Martin,
I bring it up over and over. NIL, they were
against NIL. And if you remember, the NCAA said that Kellogg,
because the governor here, Newsom, signed it into law.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
With the NIL.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
And they said if.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Those schools start collecting money to kids, they won't be
able to participate in the NCAA.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
You remember that?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
And all the California schools, Stanford, UCLA, USC, oh, yeah,
they won't be a part of the threat of it. And,
of course, that went by the wayside. College football has
always wanted to push back on this stuff. Which one
is it? Once you start paying people, what is the issue?
They're professional athletes. So what? It doesn't make sense. And
(25:46):
that is the reason why Lane Kiffin is my hero.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Oh, no. I can fly. What is this?
Speaker 1 (25:59):
You are the wind beneath my wings.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
I'm honestly a little disappointed. I'm used to Rob Parker
on the vocals.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
No, no, no. This one I couldn't do.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
All I wanted to get out there was Lane Kiffin
is my hero. And Lane Kiffin, I don't care that
you won 51-10 and you blowed out Clemson. I want
you to add those players to your roster and keep
pouring it on. I want you to pour it on
as much as you can. Add the players you want.
(26:31):
Win a national championship. But after the rest of college
football and what they're trying to do, playing this two-sided street, oh, yeah, well,
they're getting money, but they're not this. And these other kids,
because they were in a camp, they didn't play in
the Super Bowl for the Patriots last year and trying
to come back to college.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
They have a.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Year of eligibility left. They should be able to go
back to college and play. I have no issue whatsoever saying,
And that's why Lane Kiffin keeping up this fight and
being behind these kids and giving them an opportunity, Martin,
where they got cut, right, or from the practice squad,
where they can go in college and make money. They
can still play football because they have eligibility and make money.
(27:13):
Anybody who's against those kids doing that and making money,
what world are we living in?
Speaker 2 (27:19):
What world are we living in?
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Generally, when you leave a college football team, you leave
that college football team.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
I'm OK with that. That's in the past. That's the past.
It doesn't matter. No, it doesn't matter the past.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
Like if when Alberto Mendoza transferred out of Indiana, if
nobody wanted to sign him, guess what?
Speaker 2 (27:36):
He'd just be floating in the portal. Instead, he's a
starting quarterback. Yeah, but these are people that people want.
And you're right.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
If nobody wants you, then you're right. They want it.
They want them on LSU. They think they can add
to the team. They got a year of eligibility. The
NCAA is the one who set up the five for five.
I thought it was extra nuggets when it comes to
a Wendy's bag.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
I mean, with the five for five.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
I think the whole reason Lane Kiffin is doing this
is he just operates in a place that he manufactures
controversy everywhere.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Left, right, and center.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
And I think it's like a mix between Pete Carroll
and Nick Saban. And Pete Carroll, like Lane Kiffin, wants
to have all the celebrities at the game like Pete
Carroll had, Snoop Dogg and all that when he was
coaching under him. And then when you watch his teams play,
to his credit, when you watch his teams play, especially
over the last few years at Ole Miss and now
in game one of LSU, They're physical. They're effective offensively.
(28:34):
And they come out and will kick teams' asses when
they're supposed to. So you can't say they were distracted
by it.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
No, but my question to you, he obviously has a
strong team. We saw what they did. would you add
the other players or not? Like, he's already gotten the
clearance from the courts, so he can do it. He
didn't do it for week one. He wanted to figure
it all out and decide if it's maybe week two
or three or how this is going to work, and
(29:02):
they want to come to some sort of.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Where it's going to work for everybody.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
And so I give him that, that he wasn't that, oh, yeah,
just rush out there and go ahead and play. So
he didn't do that. We want to hear from you,
877-99 on Fox. I think he should pile on, get
those players, and add them to the roster and beat
up everybody in college football if you can.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Beat them up bad. Where are you? Are you with Martin?
No way, no how. You don't want to see those
guys suit up? For LSU, are you with me?
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Lane Kiffin is our hero, and we want anybody who has...
eligibility to be able to play college football. I'm for that.
I'm here for that. I'm good with that. Lane Kiffin,
you're my man. You're my hero. I'm cool with it.
So it is the odd couple.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
877-99 on Fox.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
877-996-6369 is the phone number.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
So hit us up.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Remember, we value your opinion, and we consider, like, we
want you to be a part of the show, not
an outsider.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
877-99 on Fox. Stick and stay... Especially....
Speaker 4 (30:25):
If you agree with Lane Kiffin in that they're the.
Speaker 8 (30:27):
Between you and I, we're about the two most hated
people there are.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
No doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
College football is back, and there's no better place to
trade the action than Couchy, America's number one prediction market platform.
Texas trading at 52% to beat Ohio State, meaning a
$ 100 trade pays out $ 185 to win. The Buckeyes are
the number one team in the country, but the Longhorns, yep.
(30:54):
They have the home field advantage and a trophy, a
Heisman Trophy candidate at quarterback.

real quick, you got a happy birthday? Can you give
us a little happy birthday song? Yes, real quick. They
say it's your birthday. We're having a good time.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Let's wish a very happy birthday, Steve DeSega. Are you listening?
Here we go. Happy birthday. We're going to do a
baseball segment.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
To Susan Wallman, the color analyst for the New York
Yankees on radio.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
She's been covering the Yankees for 40 years. And now
they're banging each other.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Look at alex you're unbelievable he threw him a big
fat one how.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Old hey how old steve de sager is susan wallman
who does color.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
On the yankees game oh my god.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
Steve just spread his hands apart old are you ready.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
And i probably shouldn't be saying this but i'm um
She's 80 years old.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
See, even Steve was shocked. You were shocked. I said 71.
You said 67. Yeah, I was just, no, way off.
40 years she's been doing the game. She's unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
80 years old?
Speaker 2 (33:00):
She's 80 years old today. That's a blessing.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
She is so good at her job still.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
Oh, so good.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Yes. Like Mr. Food. Oh, it's so good. It's so good.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
Yes. All right.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Congratulations. Happy birthday to Susan Wallman, one of my friends.
I'm so happy. Steve, you have something on college football? Update?
Speaker 9 (33:23):
They're saying in less than a half an hour they're
going to kick off. However, they're saying even if every
light bulb isn't on, they still want to play. And
currently every light bulb is not on.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Oh, I see.
Speaker 9 (33:36):
And also the scoreboard might not be on and they
would keep the time on the field. Also, they might
not have the coach to quarterback's helmet communication.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
For the game. What a mess.
Speaker 9 (33:46):
So if they start, it's not going to be your
normal college football game.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
All right. There's the update on the college football game.
That's insane. All right. Hey, Pete Crowell Armstrong, it looks
like he's going to win a National League MVP. I'd
say it's the same thing. Is that a good thing? Yeah.
Is it a good thing? Yeah, why would it be
a bad thing? No, I'm asking.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Because Ohtani's a once-in-a-lifetime player. He's racking up all these MVPs. Now,
he's not having that kind of year. That's why it's
a good thing.
Speaker 5 (34:17):
Simply because Ohtani may do things we've never seen before.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
And they're not giving it to him just because. Like,
you should have to earn it. And PCA's had a
great year for the Cubs, and they're winning, and they're
going to go to the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
And the Dodgers just don't feel the same this year.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
And once Otani stopped pitching as well, I think that
that took, because it was then it's just, and I
know he had already banked some great stuff that he
pitched earlier, but him not pitching, I think that opened
the door for it. Because if he continued to pitch
with his numbers pitching and hitting more, and I think
it's hard for him not to win.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
It makes it. it makes it untenable, right? It makes
it impossible almost. It's like, how are you going to
tell me a guy is more valuable when he literally
does two jobs on the team in comparison to another
guy who by definition is just doing one. But for
the point, Otani wasn't doing both of these jobs at
the highest of levels that we have seen in the past,
in years past. And I mean, hell, Dave Robertson a
(35:17):
couple of weeks ago said, he's just not who he
normally is. And if you're not who you normally are,
It's okay to not get the MVP. But so many
times people are like, oh, if he plays, he's the MVP.
And I was like, you still have to earn it.
You have to actually go out and play. And not
just because you can do two things. You have to
do them well for people to just keep giving you
(35:38):
the MVP.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
All right, hour number three is coming up. And I
got some breaking news. The Seahawks and the Patriots, they
were both flukes last year getting into the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
And I'm going to tell you why. It ain't happening.
In a grand scale. So you know what you need
to do. Stick and stay.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
To see what Uncle Rob has to say.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
I mean, for real.
