Our number two of The Odd Couple, Number two TV
themes so theme Song Thursday right here on Fox Sports
Rat to me, Rob g Monti Baginio, sitting in for
Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington, who are both suited and
booted at NABJ All this week. We'll see how many
singles are left in their wallets after last night, because

(00:47):
rumor has it a time was had at ment and
a night last night in Magic City.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
What a place to have a Oh my.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Gosh, oh go please, oh.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
God.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
We're gonna talk about that the bottom of the hour.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
It's the culture you gotta learn. Yes, it's awful.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Listen.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
I would have been there. I would have been there. Okay, Rob,
you and I'll go. I will go to Magic City,
all right. I will bring all the singles. I will
do it.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Singles you mean money or women both? Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Got well, speaking of that real quick tangent. We talked
about this yesterday one the ones Gotta Go singment right,
Alex with with Ephrom Salam One's gotta go strip club
features right. So it's the cover charge to get in, Okay,
it's the back row seating the guys who are not
actually paying anybody. They just back there watching the kitchen,

(01:42):
the champagne room, which is of course beyond the VIP
but it goes like another another level. Sure, and the
last one was making it rain.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
One's gotta go.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
Yes, it's gotta be the dudes in the back not
really perverted.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yeah, it's got to be the dudes in the back.
At least they're in the back.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
I you know, not that I've been so many strip
club but I have there's times where I see the
guys sitting in the very front road not giving money,
And that's terrible, that's awful.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Oh yeah, don't.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Claim that you're making work for two dollars twenty five minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
It's got to be that there's no way you're getting
rid of the food.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
You just build a tree and then you pull it back.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yeah, don't get rid of the food, don't get rid
of the champagne.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Just rolling like a stack of pennies for dollars.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I would have kicked.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
If I'm security, you would have been out that second.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
That second.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
No.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
You know what's funny is when you go to a
I've been there like in a long time, right, But
when you go and there's no seats in like the
not the back room, but like you know, the middle area, sure,
and you're like, your only seats are at the stage, Like,
I don't want to be tipping the entire I didn't
come here to do that right now. So you get
a seat at stage, but you turn your chair to
the side like that like that'll help, and it doesn't
work to tip.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Yeah, of course, yeah, get out of my face.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
There's nowhere else to sit. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Figure it out to bring money, I don't know if
gotta here, gotta here? You want to see this?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Where's the cash waiting for the two for one three
for one special? That's all pause, pause, no resume. That's
that we're not there paying full prices. We're there to
make deals, just like Rob Parker. That's why it's ment and.

Speaker 6 (03:09):
A night Because you should not be making deals on
a str club.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Rob Parker had his night where he had like fifty
five people pay for admission. You know who didn't have
to pay for admission?

Speaker 5 (03:19):
He didn't of course.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Okay, Well that's a little bit different because he's on.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Purpose he sold tickets so that he wouldn't have to pay.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
That's well, that's Rob Parker.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
That is Rob Parker. Rob Parker in a nutshell. And
there was a lot that happened last night. We get
to that at the bottom of the hour. There was
something that happened in the NFL or maybe didn't happen today,
but it happened and we found out about it today.
Appearing on the Impulsive podcast, Rams Wide receiver Pookinakua admitted

(03:48):
that he collided with a glass window Paine at Michael
rubens All White party earlier this summer, and he walked
into it so hard that it left blood streaming down
his face. Let's go back in the hot tub time machine.
In the last year alone, here are the things that
have happened to Puknako, the whole list, because it is long.

(04:09):
Most recently, of course, walking to a glass window. One
thing he did was he went on his live stream
and said that NFL referees rig or botch games on
purpose just so they can get shown on television. In December,
he went on to live steam with Adan Ross and
he was performing an anti Semitic hand gesture that he

(04:30):
wanted to use as a touchdown celebration. He also, during
the Super Bowl got drunk admittedly threw out a tweet
taking shots at Sam Darnold, who had just beat him
in the NFC Championship game. And then, of course, the
one everyone knows about allegedly said f all the Jews

(04:50):
and bit a woman on her shoulders so hard at
left teeth marks. We saw the pictures and allegedly bit
a second woman's thumb. She of course filed a civil lawsuit.
Who can Kakua is currently leaking for a new contract.
He's on his last year of his rookie deal. Yep,
if you were less Need and Seankvay and the powers
that be with the Ramley, how are you handling this situation?

Speaker 6 (05:11):
Ooof this is tough because we've seen what pokin Akua
can do. Is it pookin Akua? Is it Matthew Stafford?
Is it a mixture of both? I don't know, but
poka Akua has given us some amazing catches and plays
in a very short amount of time. To say that
he is not talented would be a lie. But with

(05:32):
talent comes a lot of responsibility with money, I better
trust you. I better trust you that you are going
to be able to handle the money, the fame, and be.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Available to play on the field. So a pokin a coo.

Speaker 6 (05:47):
If I'm the Rams, I don't even know if this
is possible because he's on I don't know what Pookah's
gonna do with his people. But if I'm the Rams,
and let's hypothetically say they win the Super Bowl right
after this, I'm trading Pokinakua.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
I am sending him on his.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Merry Way franchise. Tag him so you can trade it.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Right like I don't.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
I am not planning to keep Pukunakua long term. There
is no reason for me too, because he is he
has not proven that he can handle the spotlight the money.
Imagine how he's gonna be if he does get a
mega deal. If this is how he's handling things now,
I don't want to be there when it's a lot
more money in his pocket.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
And it sucks because it's like he's so talented. You
see it, you see it every day, every game, But
to me, it's not worth it.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
It's a headache. And there's so much that goes when
it comes to football. You can be not only are
you are you a problem to yourself? You can become
a problem in the locker room. Like, there's so much
to it. So for me, there's there's no way I
am giving him the money that maybe he deserves based
on talent. Yep, I'm not doing it. Even though he

(06:50):
might deserve it.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
I'm not doing it right because it's based on production. Yeah,
seven hundred yards, eleven total touchdowns, Like it should not
be a question.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
It should not be.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
He's worth top of the receiver, which is like forty million,
forty five is somewhere in there. He's the best offensive
player on the team. With apologies to Matthew Stafford. He's
only twenty four. Theoretically all of his best football is
as ahead of him. But when you go down the
list of things that he's done, again, none of these
things are super egregious, except for maybe the biting the woman.

(07:19):
I don't think any of these are crimes, right, they're
just dumb instances, right.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Sorry, I thought I was gonna sneeze it out.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Okay, Hey when that happens.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Yeah, it's gonna come out of door.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
So like, again, all these things are small, right relatively
in the grand scheme of thing we have people. I
think Tyreek Hill punched a pregnant woman in the stomach.
Yeah right, Like there are much more great, egregious things
that players have done in the NFL or getting into
the NFL. But when you add all these things up together,
it paints a picture of a guy who just doesn't
get it right. He may not be a criminal, he

(07:52):
may not be a bad person, but he doesn't get it.
And I can't trust that if I give you four
forty million dollars a season, that you're suddenly going to
turn it around, because even something is stupid as walking
into a glass window pane.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Have you done that?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
No?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I don't believe you.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Okay, So well, I'm glad you brought that up, because
obviously I wasn't there. I don't think I'm ever gonna
get invited to the White Party.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Can we manifest it?

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Let's manifested.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I don't think I'm going to be there. Aaron Rodgers
called it a weird party.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Okay, Well, Aaron Rodgers is weird.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Aaron Rodgers is weird. No stuff, right?

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Yeah you cocktail?

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Okay? So he, you know, called it a weird party, right.
And so the people I know who have walked into
windows and glasses and sliding doors and things of that
nature are little kids who are too excited they run
in stuff, or you're just drunk, right, And that's fine.
So you mean to tell me that Pukua Nakua got

(08:49):
so drunk at the White Party of all places, which
is like the who's who of all these celebrities and
power brokers all across sports and entertainment. You got so
drunk that you couldn't see the glass in front of you,
and you walked into it at such a speed that
you cause the blood to flow the from your face
at some point.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Yeah, he was looking for his teammate Devonte Adams.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Yeah, that's what the wrong is.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Uh you No, I'm with you.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
You know you said it perfectly like I didn't even
think about where this happened, Like with all of the
who's who surrounding you were this You are making an
impression on people at your.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Level, like you could say, and higher than you.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
Yeah, you you know he could say exactly, He could
say to us, I don't care about these two latinos
and what they say about me, but those people at
that party, like you should care of how you look
around them. Honestly, didn't even think about that. Yeah, he
doesn't get it. He doesn't realize that the Rams. If
I have the money for the Rams, he's an investment,
and it is an investment that is not worth the
risk right now.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
There's no way. There's no way I'm investing in Pukuinakua,
No way, No.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
One thousand and then here's the other thing. Because you
mentioned like the idea of just getting rid of him.
I know it sounds shocking them a lot of people,
and you'd say, hey, if we franchise them, we get
like two first round picks for it or whatever. What
people don't understand about the Rams specifically, this is not
just a Puka thing. This is about the Rams as
a franchise, is that they are better at identifying late

(10:15):
round talent than almost anyone in football. Right. Poka Nakua
was a fifth round pick. Kyvin Williams a fifth round pick.
Kobe Turners the third round pick Byri Young's the third
round pick. Quentin Lake was a sixth round pick. So
they have shown, even with Puka himself, that we can
find guys to do this. Cooper Cup was a late
round pick and they turned all of those guys into

(10:38):
highly productive players because they find guys who fit the system,
who do what they want them to do, and they
can be very successful at it. And pookuin Nakua, as
good as he is as a football player, I don't
know if he's worth the headache that's going to come
along with it.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
I think about that all the time.

Speaker 6 (10:54):
I mean I even thought about it, because again, you
listed off multiple things that Pokinakua has done in his
short career, and I wonder.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
This is all just in a year, right, That's what
I'm saying, Like.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
It's it's bizarre.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
I wonder sometimes if pukua Akua was not in La Ram,
if he was drafted in a smaller market with things
have gone differently for him because there's so much here
in La there's so much attention, there's so much to do.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
I don't think he's friends with Aiden Ross if he's not.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
On the rams exactly exactly like how much? But is
this just something that was gonna happen no matter what.
I don't know, but I think about that because being
in LA is different. It is different, even though the
Rams are not necessarily a franchise team like you know,
a historic franchise coun team like the Cowboys or the Packers,
and it's not like that, but it's still the La Lights,

(11:43):
you know, And so I wonder. But it's been very,
very disappointing because there's just so many in a year
of two years of been playing the highlight reel.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Is so great, so good, like it's so good.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
And at the same time, the fact that you and
I are discussing this, that's so sad. But I am
not investing in you. You are a bad investment long term.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
I could not agree with. See now you're so right.
You can't turn left before your O pin was so
left they couldn't be right.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Oh no, you crashed the car or whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
The odd couple with me Robbie Monty Blanco sitting in

self would be freaking out right now.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Doug was one of my favorites.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
And hey, Arnold, weren't they like back to back two?

Speaker 4 (14:07):
I think so?

Speaker 5 (14:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Cat Dog and.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
That one I didn't watch as much. Real monsters scared me.
Real monsters. That one scared me.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
You cat Dog always confused me. It's like, how to
go the restroom?

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Well, what is it? The human centipede? Why? You know
what I thought of that?

Speaker 4 (14:25):
And I was like, I'm not going to do that
to the listeners.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
I'm not gonna watch it.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
And you watched it.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
I never told you to watch it.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Bro, you need to watch this movie. Right when when
I give you movie suggestions, you never watch.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
You give me one. Have you watched Old People? Have
you watched I can go to a cemetery.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Have you watched it?

Speaker 8 (14:43):
No?

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Exactly which one?

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Las Vegas. This would be the last movie I watched,
the greatest movie ever. No, it's not for me to
watch Obsession and I watched it. It was session so
good because that's a good movie I watched. There's a
difference between bias and critically acclaimed. You know you're biased,
you're bias. I like freakly acclaimed the movies. Did your
movie have a seventy seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars budget?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Did your movie have like twenty eight Oscar nominees attached
to it?

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Now that doesn't matter, It doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
It does matter, No, it doesn't.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
You know it's sad. Our movie had none of that
and made probably gazillion more than your movie, Dane, It's
a good movie.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Obsession is amazing, Las Vegas is amazing.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
You starting out to derail the conversation here. But Universal
Studios apparently is gonna have Nicki for Halloween Horrornites.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
They're gonna hire her.

Speaker 6 (15:29):
No, no, no, they're gonna have Niki Yes, right, And
so all of the my Twitter feed that's shown me
like guys being like, wait, so you're gonna hire a
hot Latino to just follow me around?

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Yeah? Every day vip passed genius.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
It's hilarious cause but I am like, how are you
gonna do this? Like, are you gonna find lookalikes.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Like, that's that's hard point.

Speaker 6 (15:50):
Like, but that's what they're saying, that they're gonna have
Nikki around at Halloween Horrnites for Universal Studios. I don't
know if it's just an La thing also in Orlando,
because it's not the same stuff on both ends.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
But I'm curious to see it.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
But doesn't that like miss the plot of the whole movie.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Right, No, it makes no sense.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
I think it makes sense.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
No, it doesn't. Okay, you're just gonna hire hot.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
Girls and she just doesn't want you to leave, and
she's just gonna follow you.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
She's only gonna follow guys. We have girls on their
arms to make it awkward.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
She'll make that weird face.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
You can't have more than one Nikki, you, okay, because
to each other.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
Yeah, well it's multiverse, Spider Man, No, you can reach
one Nikki.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
But then that's not that's not as effective.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
I think it was so work.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
He's gonna go like he was never gonna go, and no,
he's like, wait, there's gonna be a.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Niky rob g You want to know who we Other
people wish there was to look like of Mancy Bolanos
because the comments. Oh yeah, actually insane. So I was
telling rob G I have to have two sections right now.
There's literally a Mansy YouTube comment section and then the
comment section for the couple. So let's start with Mancy. Okay.
The first one, this is the Manzy clout segment. I

(16:55):
call right here. Okay. The first one is from Courtney
Miller to six eight zero my eyes, my eyes, I'm
blinded by her beauty. I took a little creative response
on that one so much. Then we have made it
happen eight one five eight Moncey heart heart, heart, heart heart.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
It's a good amount of hearts.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
Yeah. Then there's this what color are the hearts all red?
I like that they're bleeding for love for you. This
one I thought was funny. It says no fly zone
four eight five TF she's standing up.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
I am, I am standing up all day. My feet
on a good one.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Josh says she looks great still three Mattis says Mansy
is the bomb and fine heart, and then Michael says
Mancy is well dressed hobo.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
I am a well dressed hobo. Thank you so much,
Thank you to all you guys.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
And then I have a good one for g. He
just says, Rob g is Clutch affiliated?

Speaker 9 (17:43):
What?

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:45):
How am I Clutch affiliated?

Speaker 4 (17:46):
What did you do? What did you do? You love Lebron?
But what did you do?

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I have bashed Lebron on like every platform I'm on.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
Do you yes?

Speaker 3 (17:55):
I blashed him yesterday.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
No, I don't believe it.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
While so I saw the only five dollars one that
we got shout out to the donation, said, you guys
need your own show man.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
So good, Scott say less, thank you. We guy, someone's
gofering five dollars for this show? What make it happen?

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Let's do it.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Yeah, let's do it. We're gonna do it tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
At least pay another five. We'll come back tomorrow. All right, Okay,

said Robgi's standing too.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
No I'm not. No, I am not. I am two
and a half inches taller when I stand up. But anyway, you.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Can put your seat up even higher and be even taller.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
But then I have my feet really swing when I
do that.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Oh yeah, and then you get your feet are gonna
fall asleep than that? You know, we don't want to
do that.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
We don't. So the NBA's schedules are officially out. And
this is something me and he Fom we've been arguing
about for the last two shows. I'm gonna ask you
about this, all right. So we got opening night opening
week Christmas Day. We knew what that on Tuesday. Jalen
Brown's return to Boston was not included in any of
the Marque games. All right, So now we know when

(19:23):
he is going to return. His return to Boston is
going to take place on Thursday, January twenty first. Whoo, Okay,
he couldn't even get a weekend primetime game. John Moran's
return to Memphis is on a Saturday night. Even LaMelo
Balls is on President to Day. They think so highly

(19:44):
of MVP candidate Jalen Brown that his big revenge game
is going to be buried on a Thursday in January.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Your thoughts, I don't know if I agree with you.

Speaker 6 (19:56):
I don't know if a Saturday night game is better
than a Thursday night game.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Saturday night, I may be out, babe. I'm not watching that.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
That's Thursday in January on Amazon Prime. I don't.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Amazon Prime had the best covers last year.

Speaker 6 (20:09):
That's wrong, But that alone is gonna bring eyeballs because
it's Amazon that alone. I hear what you're saying, and
obviously there is You're right, the importance of Jylen Brown
clearly is not at the top of the NBA's list.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
You are not wrong because of what it is. I
just I don't. I don't know if it's as bad
as you want to paint the picture to be.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
I don't necessarily agree with that, but the minute Lebron
joined that team that overshadows everything.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
I also feel again like I don't. I don't think
it's that. I don't think it's that bad.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
There's other matchups that are more interesting, and also I
think the NBA needed to spread out those.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Right so, and I think that is what ilse on evil.
That's like the bigger conversation is that Jalen Brown thinks
he's a superstar like he he is. He believes that
he is, but he is. The NBA keeps telling us,
whether it's scouts, GMS, coaches, and now the broadcast people,
you're not you are a good player, but anonymous GMS

(21:12):
are saying that you're closer to brandon Ingram Demrta Rosen Right.
You have anonymous coaches telling ESPNS Bobby Marks that Derek
White is more valuable than you are. You have the
Boston Celtics front office saying the best deal we could
get for you was the all Buttross contract of Paul
George and one first round pick. And now you have

(21:33):
the TV brought partner saying we're not gonna give you
a Christmas Day game. We're not gonna give you an
MLK day. We're not gonna give you Opening Night, We're
not gonna even give you Opening week. We are gonna
bury you on a Thursday in the middle of football season.
So how good could you possibly be if everybody around
the league thinks that you're like interchangeable.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
I feel like this has to do because I think
Jalen Brown is great on the court. But this does
have to do a little bit with the thing we
talk about across all sports sometimes, the IT factor.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Jayalen Brown doesn't have it, like.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
But do you agree he thinks he does.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
He has to think that.

Speaker 6 (22:13):
He has to think that based on the comments that
he made this past season in Boston with Jason Tatum
being now and saying this was his most fun season
and that he was out in a great time.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
He has to think that.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
But I think this has more to do with he
just doesn't have it, and so there's other players that
have it.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
You would take Derek White over Jaylen Brown. No, okay,
so that's a stupid.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
But there are people, sure, high ranking people.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
Okay, that's great. I watch these games.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
I have eyes.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
You can tell me all you want.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
No, Derek White is not better than Jaylen Brown, not
on Sunday, not on Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Jalen Brown's net rating was ninth among Celtics players last season,
and they were five and a half points worse with
him on the court than off the court. In the playoffs,
his minus fifty seven across three games the last three
games of the first round series was one of the
worst on the team, and of course they lost all
three games three one.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Yeah, no, Boston went their ship started sinking.

Speaker 6 (23:10):
Like early early on in the whatever postseason, or you
could say once Jason Tatum came back. I know they
went on a on a nice little run, but you
could tell tension was present when it came to the
Boston Celtics. You could just tell, so I don't I
want again. I have eyes like there's no way you
could tell me that. But I think it's it has
to do with like his attitude, his demeanor.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
He doesn't have it.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
He's not.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
Charming, not that it's as not the word, but there's an.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
It factor and you can't always explained.

Speaker 6 (23:42):
You can't even explain it. But it's like, I don't
care to hear a SoundBite from Jaylen Brown.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
I don't care what he thinks you do. He has
a twitch stream that is very important to him that
he has on like.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
Daily and does he does he have a big following?

Speaker 6 (23:58):
Sure he does Okay, so some people do care, but
the big, the grand picture is like, no, he doesn't
have it. He doesn't have it more than beyond the
skill that he has on the court of a two
way player.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
If it was Jason Tatum in Philadelphia and he was
making his return to Boston, would that have gotten a
primetime slot?

Speaker 4 (24:15):
I do think so.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
I do think that Jason Tatum would have gotten that
primetime spot. And not that Jason Tatum has it, but
he has.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
More of it whatever it is.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yeah, he has more.

Speaker 6 (24:25):
Of it than than Brown does, than Jalen Brown does,
and so he would have that that would have because
I want to hear the SoundBite.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
I don't know if he's gonna say something corny.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
He probably is. Probably he's gonna recycle it with something else.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
But but I'm more interested in hearing the corny SoundBite
than hearing whatever Jylen Brown might say. Even though Jalen
Brown is supposed to a genius or pretty smart, right.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
He is, he's really statistically he is one of the smartest,
Like he's in part of mensa.

Speaker 6 (24:51):
Yeah, so him in his smart brain when he's calculating,
he's like, I am so great like, how do you
blame him?

Speaker 4 (24:58):
How do you blame him what he doesn't have it?

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Do you think you're so great and you have it?

Speaker 4 (25:05):
I think I have some it.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
I think you do. Oh, I think you could get
your jersey retired somewhere and.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
Then I can't let someone else use it two or
three years later.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Maybe, or you could get your jersey retired somewhere and
it's still not be a flex. And that happened yesterday,
and I'll tell you about it next. But first, but first,
if it's bree's.

Speaker 4 (25:31):
For wee, why is it for we did I miss
something for everybody?

Speaker 6 (25:34):
It's for everybody, Breeze for everyone.

Speaker 9 (25:37):
I'm trying to think of how that got started. I
think Rob Parker just came up with it on the spot, because.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
Okay, either one, Rob checks out on updates.

Speaker 9 (25:49):
What do you mean that's so true? He takes off
his headphones. That's right back. Because I think before you
had the sweet One, it was either that one or
the other one. I'm not entirely sure. Before Alex are
doing his drop that it's a sweet.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
One, what's the sweet one?

Speaker 10 (26:03):
I don't know where that came from.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
I just did that because I think you're sweet. You
do not think I'm that's true. Actually don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
I know.

Speaker 10 (26:09):
Why are we lying?

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Why are we lying here?

Speaker 5 (26:11):
It's entertainment.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (26:14):
You're sweet.

Speaker 6 (26:15):
I do real, not always, but I think you can
be sweet.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
What is due? She takes care of me, she's she's
sweet to me. I don't think she's sweet to everybody,
but she's sweet to me.

Speaker 9 (26:28):
I've actually been sweet the camera. I've been sweet people
who probably don't deserve it also, But anyways, but pete, okay,
speaking of sweet Fernana Mendoza not looking terrible.

Speaker 10 (26:39):
You guys not looking.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Well.

Speaker 10 (26:45):
I mean you can party and still play with your platebook,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 9 (26:48):
Yes you can. Yes, there's a bit. I agree with Monty.
I'm on Monty's side before and he was getting on
the field. Everybody was cheering, and I was like, so
much love and attention, and I thought of you, rob Gi,
because would you be crying and excited and holding up
Mendoza Jersey just like that if you were there right now?

Speaker 3 (27:02):
No, what do you mean? No, you have no emotion,
not for Mendoza. Why there's nothing fun about him?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
What are you talking about? Life? He loves everyone that's fine.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
But if I'm gonna, I would never buy a jersey.
But if I wasn't gonna by a jersey, it's somebody
that is like flashy and not for Mendoza.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Does he have it?

Speaker 10 (27:26):
No, he has He has some.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Sort of it.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
He has a good mind and a strong religious back.

Speaker 10 (27:34):
Oh, like a beautiful mind, like Russell Crowe. A beautiful mind.
Yes see, I could see that he.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Got his receiver killed.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Okay, well, oh oh, he just took a sack right there.

Speaker 9 (27:44):
Alrighty, it is tied up between the Raiders and Cardinals
a minute and a half left to go in the
first quarter. Anthony Richardson, that was just just disgusting. If
you guys want to go back and see that little clip,
he went one of three seventeen passing yards and one
I'm sorry, I'm sorry that was harsh.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
You still play.

Speaker 9 (28:00):
I don't even know, yeah, And I'm you know, what
is Anthony Richardson's senior now, because I think like he
had some kind of junior offspring, So I guess he's
like Anthony Richardson senior. One of three seventeen passing yards
and one really ugly interception. The Texans are leading the
Chargers seven to three, the Culture getting shut out by
the Patriots three nothing. Bengals leading the Lions ten to three,

(28:20):
sixteen seconds left to go in the second quarter. In
the Field of Dreams game between the Twins and the Phillies,
the Phillies are leading the Twins.

Speaker 10 (28:27):
To to one.

Speaker 9 (28:27):
End of the third inning, Kyle Schwarber hit his thirty
six home run of this season. A little bit earlier today,
the Mariners snapped a six game losing streak, shutting out
the Yankees a one nothing National shut out the Cubs
seven nothing, And in the NBA, Bradley Beal has agreed
to a two year, thirteen point two a million dollar
deal in return to the Clippers. Wow, one team's trash

(28:48):
is another team's goals over here. So excited for you,
Monty Bolanio's I don't miss him at all, So having
fun with that.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Back to you guys, fake news.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Thank you, Bri. It is the odd couple, Rob Gi
Monte when I go sitting in for Rob Parker kelvin
Washington yesterday was the much discussed, very controversial Menty Night,
or we call it ment and a Night at Magic
City in Atlanta. Yes, it was. And if you follow

(29:21):
Magic City on Instagram, which I don't, but if you do,
then you will have seen that it was such a
rousing success that the odd couple Rob Parker Magic City
menteen night jersey was displayed both on their social media
account and for the world to see inside of the
Gentlemen's Club.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Oh, I gotta look at this.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
And while you're looking it up, I'm here to tell
you this. This is to Rob Parker. This is to
all the mentees who were at Magic City last night.
Oh God, getting your jersey retired at a strip club
is not the flex you think it is. I will
say this, and hopefully I know my brother is watching
because he's on the YouTube. I see him commenting. Hopefully
his wife's not listening to this.

Speaker 6 (30:04):
But there's a lot on this jersey. It looks like
a lot of advertisement.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
It is if Fox Sports Radio is going to be
prominently displayed inside of Magic City.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
So I don't know how Julie Talbot and you know,
but at any event.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
There's no jersey.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
Dad, that's not a jersey.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
So I believe that if you have frequented a strip
club enough times to get your jersey retired that's not
something to be proud of. Why because, and I'm telling
you that again, my brother's commenting. He's probably gonna text
me about this right now. There was a time I
was in college and it might have been like a
Friday Saturday night. I wasn't doing anything that night, and

(30:42):
he comes to my room and he says, Hey, me and
Adam are gonna go to the strip club tonight. You
want to come, Sure, I'd love to go with you. Guys.
When we walk in is a true story. I'm gonna come.
I'm gonna come. When we walked in, a young lady
walks up, sees me and says, oh my god, you're
Damien's brother.

Speaker 5 (31:04):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
How often do you come here that they know you
on a first name basis?

Speaker 4 (31:08):
Do not come?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
He was gonna come. He came a lot there, apparently.
So I'm telling you, on behalf of all men that
if you are known on a first name basis in
that location, or if you're spending and has such a
reputation at Magic City that they've retired your jersey, that
is not a flex. Okay, it's a little bit sad.

Speaker 6 (31:33):
If I got my jersey retired at a bar, is
that a bigger flex, Like if I'm a regular at
a bar, is that better than being a regular at
a strip club?

Speaker 4 (31:42):
Yes, okay, wonderful, so wonderful.

Speaker 6 (31:44):
Just making sure we're there, h he's he Yeah, it's
not the flex.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
Especially coming from a dude. I trust me.

Speaker 6 (31:51):
For a girl, I'm not impressive are known at a
strip club. But I think Rob, it's a flex at
Magic City in the well, if you're in there, he
gets to flex it the minute he steps out.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
Don't mention it.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
You start telling everyone Magic City.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
It only counts in there. That's where the flex can happen.
Once he steps out. That is out of mind.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Don't bring it up. It is not a flex, I
agree with you.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
Interesting are we sure that this is actually hanging up?
By the way it's framed, so it could not have
been hung. It might have been displayed because from the
picture he sent us, it's not on a wall, it's
on the ground. And he took a picture of it
and shared it on the Magic City page and.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Now you can see it on our YouTube.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Yeah, so I'm curious if it's really hanging up yet truly.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Okay, but if it's just displayed like behind.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
The bar Okay, I think it is a flex.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Do you agree with Mancy that it's only a flex
when you're in there?

Speaker 5 (32:45):
I think both outside too. Really, there was a whole
series made of Magic City, a whole series on Stars done.
It was all the prominent artists. There was Drake on
their tee, Paine, all of them. Right, it's like this
is a cultural phenomenon. Now, like this is the place
in Atlanta. I would say if you talk about like
top three places in Atlanta, magic City is probably one
of them. Right. It's a cultural.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Sprobably, so if it was like Spearman Rhino, I.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
Wouldn't care it all. Now, Yeah, like this is like
to Rob Parker, I think this is probably head and
head with him having like his own booth name after
him now to college. This is probably and that important
to Rob Parker.

Speaker 6 (33:20):
But this still ties into kind of what we're saying
that it's like it's a flex to that community. Like
you step out of there and you bring this up
to someone who has no idea what Magic City is.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
You just sound like an idiot.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
That's kind of like for everything.

Speaker 6 (33:33):
Then know right, No, But they're like the thing is
like if you tell me, oh, I got my jersey
retired for an anime thing, right, I don't care about anime,
you know what I'm saying, But I'm interested. Now you
tell me, oh, I got my jersey retired strip club.
I don't care, truly don't.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Don't. James Harden got his hung up.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
In Houston, he sure did do.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
We said a lot of those ladies in school, all right,
he sent them to college Parker.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Now over there.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
So then who else is in Magic City? Do we know?

Speaker 3 (34:01):
Likel their their chicken wings are named after Lou Williams.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
I was gonna say, I was that Lou Williams maybe
is retired there.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
But even he has said that and people have cooperated
this when he would go he wasn't going for the entertainment.
It literally went for the wings. Yeah, Lemon, and he
got him a specific way that they make him where
it's lemon pepper plus something else maybe and so it's
like specific to him.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
And so again it's tough.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
God love Rob Parker, you know, because how many people
can say that they have a press box named after them.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
That they are a Hall of Famer at the NABJ,
which is a very reputable, proud organization, right while simultaneously
having your jersey at a strip club.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
No, it fits Rob, it does right fits Rob.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
So for him it's a flex. But I just think
it depends on the audience. It's not a universal flex.
There are other things that are universal flexes.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
This ain't one of them.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
You know what's gonna be funny is you know, six
months from now, when enough guests or athletes or coaches
that have come through there and they see the odd
couple Fox Sports Radio, Rob Parker Mante Night. Calvin is
very big on his brand. Do you think it's gonna
go over well with him? That you know come June

(35:20):
next year? Hey, I saw your strip club jersey there
in Magic City, Calvin. Pretty exciting. No, yeah, it's gonna
be bad.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
That's probably why the.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
Name wasn't wait, can't wait the camera.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
If we were to ask Ron Parker right now, I
bet you this is his biggest accomplishment right.

Speaker 8 (35:35):
Now, more than the Wow, I've never seen him cheese
more than when we were talking about how he put
a lady on a fridge.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
That man was cheoing more than he was when he
was talking about his press box.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Oh my god, he's putting a lady on a fridge.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
Was putting multiple ladies.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Now, No, it's different.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
I mean, I mean, I'd be more proud about the
fridge thing in the strip club.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
Jersey, Yeah, i'd be I get that, That's what I'm saying.
The French thing, I get it. The strip club not
so much.

Speaker 6 (36:05):
But again, it's because Alex is right, this is an
iconic place, like, there's.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
A lot to it.

Speaker 6 (36:11):
I get it, you know, But again it's it's not
a universal flex, it is a specific flex.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
Well, you would like to say he was the first
black reporter at the Detroit Detroit Press, right, Yes, Wow, he's.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
The first reporter to get his uh jersey.

Speaker 5 (36:23):
So I'm saying this is a big deal. You might
bury himself with that jersey.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
No, he absolutely will, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Gonna have cocoa butter and body glitter.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
On it, and the baby oil and the lipstick from
cinnamare and a cigarette. Oh god, oh oh hold on,
can I get the lemon peppet to gold cheese cake
on the side.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Stopping monst Oh gosh, that was kind of like shotack.

Heiny' nobody ain's sniping a bomshop.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
You know that ain't nobody is you talk about whoever, whatever,
whatever you want to in the boss way.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
You know it's chopped talk.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
Pladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, producers from other networks.
I want to set up a topic for you and
let you know exactly why we are the best show
in all the land, because not only do we have
the best of takes, not only do we have a
plethora of people who come in and out this revolving
door to host the show, but were other worldly gentlemen
and gentle ladies. And on this week's edition of Shop Talk,
I wanted to talk about something I think is very

(38:07):
important in the culture of brotherhood, of bromances, and maybe
something that MONSI might have a different perspective on as
a lady with a man who might have bromances. So
Robgi just finished his last Vegas euphoric weekend with his boys.
That wasn't as adventurous as you thought it might be
now that you guys are older, was it still?

Speaker 3 (38:28):
We're totally different now than it wouldn't get to be
back at there.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
Well, you went to Vegas, I went with your boys,
made some money on craps, had your own crabs table.
You know Robgie Pocket watching It's his own craps table. Crazy,
But robb Gi had this comedy show he went to
over the Little State, had with his brother's there and
his brother had a little involvement with another guy there
that was buying some snacks and etc. For the setup.

(38:52):
So Robgi tell us exactly how it happened. And then
the question I want to follow up with it is
is this okay for men to do this, to maybe
buy other men's stuff, but set it up first, Robert.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
So we're in line for the bar at the comedy
show to see Sebastian Maniscalco, and a guy behind us
notices that he and my brother are the exact same watch.
And once he saw that, you would have thought they
were best friends. Give him a big old dap, hugs him,
says he wants to get our phone numbers. We should
all hang out together. And he say, hey, you know what,
buy these guys some drinks. And I'm like, oh, you know,

(39:24):
buy a drinking No, no, buy them too by him, matter
of fact, get him two popcorns, two to go. So
this guy, who's probably in his fifties bought me and
my brother both big old trays of drinks and popcorn.
So is it like a man card violation to allow
another grown man who you don't know to buy you drinks?

Speaker 4 (39:42):
I don't understand the problem here. Really, boys are such bros.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
The minute you find something in common or something as
the watch, you guys just gravitate towards each other.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
Bros before hose is a real thing.

Speaker 6 (39:58):
Every time I watch the Bachelorette, all of the bros
in the house.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
That are dating the same girl are encouraging each other to.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
Have a great date.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
You got this, You're a better man than me.

Speaker 6 (40:09):
Please take my girl out and show her how a
gentleman treats a lady.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
I'm just brie. Am I wrong? But bros, this is
to me. I don't think this breaks bro code at all.
I feel like this is exactly what bro code is.

Speaker 9 (40:22):
If you find something like I feel like guys when
they have and that they see another guy that they have.

Speaker 10 (40:26):
Something in common with, it's like, oh my god, that's incredible.

Speaker 6 (40:30):
Drink much less too, Well, maybe that says that you're
just cheap more than anything.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
I was gonna say, I'm not buying a random dude
and his buddy or he's my brother, four drinks that
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (40:40):
Okay, fine, But if that dude has a ton of
money and it doesn't affect them, he just wanted to
do a nice thing.

Speaker 10 (40:45):
This is just a nice gesture.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
It's just sure they had the same watch. He got excited.

Speaker 10 (40:48):
Maybe he thought he was kind of cute too, maybe
just a little.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
His wife came later, he didn't seem as interested.

Speaker 9 (40:55):
I'll tell you that's well, that's a little he might
swing both ways, Alex.

Speaker 5 (40:59):
Didn't you say too that his wife came with two
girlfriends too? And he was just like, lem low, I'm
with my la guys.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
Right now, you are.

Speaker 5 (41:06):
Touching on something that makes sense because it's like his guys.
If I find out like, oh, robb G, you like jeans,
I like jeans? Right, did we just become best friends?
It's step brother, it's literally instead they hate each other
and then found out like, all right, robb Gi, name
a dinosaur. You'd be right now, velociraprap. Now you guys
are best friend that's it. So that's a good point,
Like I've never thought of it. If Robgy I met you,
let's say at Magic City and there was somebody hanging

(41:26):
a jersey and somebody's hanging it just retiring, same with
me there, and you also tipped cinnamon a bunch, I'd
be like, we're best friends.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
We're both tipping cinning and we must have a lot
in comment.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
I'd let you buy me a drink. I'd be cool
with it.

Speaker 6 (41:35):
You'd be cool if I think you were thrown off
by how much by the generosity?

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Yes? Right? And I sent a photo to Elijah Wills
even gets up on the YouTube, but you can see
that we each got one of these trades with two
big drinks and two popcorns.

Speaker 6 (41:47):
Yeah, because he could have been a little bit more
like he just seemed like like he really liked your brother,
because he could have just said to the bartender, Hey,
just put whatever they want on my tap.

Speaker 4 (41:56):
Guys, nice meeting, you'll walked away.

Speaker 8 (41:58):
He was like, no, I want you guys to get
something over that gets.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
Stuff at the bar.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
Sure, I'll let anybody buy me.

Speaker 5 (42:07):
I'm used to it, though. You know she always has
people catering to Rob g new feeling.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
What about you, Brie, Yeah, I know you're letting a
woman buy you drinks at the Seal Beach.

Speaker 9 (42:16):
Of course, not, of course, I'm saying, of course, absolutely,
of course it's free.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
Why not free, it's for Bree, It's for there's the popcorn.
And I agree with the odd couple coming up keep
it locked. Fox Sports Radio,
