Speaker 4 (02:00):
Eight?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Eight?
Speaker 2 (02:02):
That's a lot, I know. I just I figured, you know,
forty years you'll BBW five fan. Oh what far off?
You make it like? You got two?
Speaker 3 (02:09):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Five? That's nice, that's nice.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
So we're six five five including normally we get four.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
This year we got five. You move well, you moving
on that? Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Half absolutely all right? He rob g. We already kind
of talked about the Kawhi Leonard uh so, oh yeah,
let's go first, odd mob just I'm just curious with
the bones what they're talking about.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Who knew that would be a thing.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
I mean, there are people saying it's called memory foam,
and it's a nicer way of putting it.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Nobody got time for that boneus.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Sounds like it's like the McRib Like, you know, you
eat the rib sandwich with no bones in that single bone?
How did it walk?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
I don't know what that is? What that is?
Speaker 5 (02:53):
So this was one of the first comments of the show,
before we'd even got to any topics. Miki three oh
five says, I'm very disappointed in Rob Parker. He's been
doing the same dreadgory work and he's still reading it
off the sheets.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
I can't do that if without the sheet, you see
what with a paddic I have?
Speaker 1 (03:13):
We don't have it. I think you actually know it
more than you think. You just start panicking. I don't remember,
like I think muscle memory would kick in, but you
just start freaking out.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I mean, like Alex knows when I've been on the
road or something, I don't have my street there.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I'm like, I know, I don't even know where to
get started. As far as Alex is, the way he
looks at me like I have an answer.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
It's time.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
We used to have it out there. What gave you
a copy? I gave you there and we put a chicken.
I think Sam was Clino. Ioway Sam was cleaning it up.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
He's still here somewhere.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
He's laying down on the bowler's couch. Might be he
might be.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Here's another one.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
This goes back to the blue pill conversation. Oh boy,
Zach and Florida says, just get the rhino pill with
the honey packety Rob. The streets love the honey pack
Stay go check it out. Honey pack crazy with the
honey Rob. You're at seven to eleven twice a day.
I'm sure you gotta see you know the honey packets. Really,
(04:11):
that's all.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
I see. The jokes and the memes in the in.
Speaker 7 (04:14):
The if you tried it, I haven't need to yet,
bro boy, I'm just saying I see those that got
you going. Oh and Si, here's the last one. This
is a very serious one. God damn guy, that's a
great guy, says Listen. To Rob Kelvin, You're sending a
bad example for young men. Don't let Kelvin trick you
(04:35):
out of your spot, Rob, exactly exact.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Go ahead, listen to Kelvin and go ahead and go
ahead and feel like you could just dip your I'm
not saying you weren't at Spectrum talking about all this.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
I said he was wrong? How many time I got
to sell it? Say it wrong?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Wrong? Wrong?
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Wrong?
Speaker 2 (04:54):
But on the legal end, I was saying, Lord, like.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Did you hear what state that is?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Will state?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
You know I have to give a don't be taking
you don't know that was just a caller. See that's
that legal. So you're just taking people word for it.
You know who's gonna have to give a reason?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Though?
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Adam Silver because he put in anement.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
That's why. That's why.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
You know, you get a little podcast smooth. You know,
Rob g he let something slip today when talking to me.
What I let He's doing songs on his podcect.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
I did do a song. It was it was like
a like a he did a little It was to
Rob Parker. I mean Rob has like a full mixtape.
I did like two lines, but yes.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
A mixtape. Circulate don't they. Sometimes you wonder how everybody
got exclusive. I said it just to you. I didn't
send it to everybody. I'm just saying, everybody got that
hot mixtape. But but it's hot. It just goes everywhere
hot and controversy. That thing gonna spread.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Rother, Yes, sir, all right, guys, going back to a
big story of the day, the Clippers Raptors trade that
would have sent Kawhi Leonard back to Toronto has been
put on hold. That's because the NBA pause been on
pause pause for the cause being. Adam Silver put the
word out to both of the clubs that hey, you
can make this trade if you want to, but whatever
(06:26):
punishment comes down from this aspiration deal about whether or
not they circumvented the salary cap to get more money
in Kawhi's pocket. The punishment that is handed down will
be passed over to Toronto in that situation if he's
on your team. So, as a result, both teams have decided,
you know what, until we get the final ruling on
this situation, the trade will be put in limbo.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
And I think at some point we've been talking about
this and I agree with the concept, Rob, you and
I have been saying for months whatever. The particular conversation
was around the commissioner Adam Silver. If not now, then
when when will you ever do something? We talk about
a million different things. You had teams taking right in
his face and he was just like, oh, we'll find
him a little bit to do this, and they like deliberately.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Taking rob like, hey, fourth quarter, we are hold on,
don't you know what the commissioner, comissioners.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Marketing, come on, iron scoring and stuff, triple j come on,
you're trying to win, you're tripping, come on now.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Screaming at people, screaming, don't shoot? Who do you do?
What do you mean? Coach? I'm open? Ah, are you
too good?
Speaker 1 (07:27):
So we got the tanking, We've got this, we got
the gambling with issues like, it's so much that's happening
that I think personally, at a certain point you have
to draw the line. And Kawhi Leonard is not Steph Curry.
Kawhi Leonard ain't Lebron. And what I mean is guys
who have been ambassadors that maybe you'd be like, ah,
my letter Ryan, because they've been great for the league,
(07:48):
they've been the face of the league. They've done this
for the league. Kawhi Leonard is in business for Kawhi Leonard. Yeah,
but he's done a lot of winning and Robbie only
plays fifty percent of the games and I'm not even
funding literally game.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
But he's won two championship and Steph and Lebron only
won four.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
Year.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Ron has been the face and he has done a million
things for the league. Steph Curry's done a million things
for the league. Chris Paul and you know whoever you
want to go down the line. The guys have done
things for the league and been the face and been
this ambassador.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Has been a great one bachelor for the league too,
because he stays out of trouble.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
No, how's he stay out of trouble when he's always
in trouble.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
He ain't in trouble. He is in trouble right now
and he was.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
And the reason why the Raptors didn't want to resign
him between nineteen because he tried to pull this move.
My point is, if he had this thing where it
was like, man, he's just been this great basketball, all right,
maybe we'll just kind of pat him on the wrist
a little bit. It seems to me Kawhi Leonard's been
in the business of Kawhi leader, which I'm not mad.
Do what you want to do. But to me, now,
this is a situation. You got some great evidence because
(08:47):
Pablo Tore has been going crazy on the reporting. If
not now, then when will you say? All right, Steve Barmer.
Obviously we need you in the league, so I can't
just kick you out of the organization. But I can't
find you a huge, efty fine. I can take a
bunch of draft picks from you, and I can if
it's waived the contract to Kawhi Leonard where you can't
have him, Raptors can't have him.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Now he's a free agent. You kind of got to
start over something.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
To me, at some point, Adam Silver has to have
the sick of Kelvin Washington and Rob Parker and the
likes saying you're the weakest, weakest Commissioner.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Silver.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
You don't do anything, you don't stand for anything. All
these things happen on your watch. You flip flop the
All Star Game, you flip flop this. I feel like
this would be the thing. You have enough evidence. To me,
the gun might not be smoking, but Daggan is hot,
and I feel like it's enough for you to be
finding like, yo, I'm not having it this time around.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
And that's why I told Toronto, Hey.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Y'all want to take him cool and when the smoke
comes down, it's gonna be on your hands if you
take them in.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Toronto said, I will wait.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
So to me, Rob, I just feel like this is
a moment where you can finally do it and you
have to say something to the league that what's the
point of having second aprons and salary caps and all
these things. If all I gotta do is come up
with a shell company aspiration, and then the owner of
the can put a bunch of millions of dollars in it,
it can go wink wink bankrupt after it's paid out
(10:06):
Kawhi and paid out this person and have other people
and within the organization put money into this and then
all of a sudden it goes bankrupt. Clearly a shell company,
clearly a scam. You don't want to keep having this happen,
So you either get your David sternbag d what he
did to the Minnesota Timberwoods with Joe Smith or something
alike like that, because at some point, Adam Silver, you
gotta have a backbone and you got to stand on something.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
But my issue is you're talking about that. You have
a bigger fish to fry for real with the gambling,
and you swung and missed on that. You had a
coach who is now in an indictment on a federal case.
You have players who you exonerated and now federal cases.
(10:49):
And now you expect this commissioner to take on the
most the richest owner in the NBA, who built a beautiful,
brand new building, who's done all these things, took over
when when you needed somebody to step up because Donald
Sterling was about to trash your postseason, when players refuse
to play, who stepped up and and and and got
(11:11):
you out of a lurch? And now what are you
gonna do? Come on, man, I think you're kidding yourself.
I'm not saying they're not gonna get any punishment, but
they're not throwing no hammer at anybody.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Don't do that.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
They don't don't they don't throw the hammer at anybody
already by now. And I agree with the gambling. Ten
months later? Did did really you need ten months for this?
And I'm gonna add to this. I think everything you
just mentioned what I'm saying, the gambling is a part
of this. At some point you have to do something
because you're you have a great moment.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Gambling is bigger.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Gambling is bigger than that. I don't disagree, because I'm
messing with the integuity of the game.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Once you don't have integuity, you're the w w E.
I'm not disagreeing. That's why I'm saying the gambling was first,
he did miss that. That's what I'm saying, you missed
on it. Now to rectify that, those guys are about
to get in trouble federally.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
That's worse than anything.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
And then now you got the mojo of the NBA Finals,
biggest watch since what was it ninety eight? Is Jordan's
last dance. Everyone was in on it, Paraye was Hues,
It's the Knicks. It's a great mojo. Keep the momentum going.
You can't just back down and then because it because
of another thing, and you don't want rob. What you
don't want is people like Pablo to keep digging and
(12:28):
find out, oh this team did that, Oh this team
did it. Oh that team did it, Oh this team
did it. Where it becomes even bigger scandal of Oh,
look at five, six, seven, other teams are doing this,
and it's what's the point of a salary cap? What's
the point of second aprons? If we all trying to
be competitive and be on the same playing field, then
what's the point. Because I can get some extra money
over here, I can get any player I want. I'll
just tell you I'm only gonna pay you twenty million,
(12:49):
wink wink. I got another forty million for you over here.
So I just want to see if Adam Silber will
finally do something. Why is this dude crying this tiger,
he does something great, they dumb water on him.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Bree. I need to know what's working right now.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
I'm just I think what you're asking for. If there
was a different commissioner in place, maybe okay, but this commissioner,
I'm sorry, I just don't. I don't see it. I
really don't. This ain't some owner who's like a lower lower,
wrong owner you could take advantage of, like what they
did when David Stern did that. David Stern never stepped
(13:22):
in even when Donald Sterling was had all those racial
discrimination lawsuits about not running the black people and Latin
people here in Los Angeles. Nothing happened. They didn't do
anything to him. He was allowed to own. He wouldn't
spend any money team on players. He was dirt cheap college,
all that kind of stuff, right, really really cheap. They
(13:45):
never did anything. And the only reason they did anything,
that Donald Sterling, was they were gonna lose money because
the players said they wouldn't play the playoffs. That's what
I'm trying to say. I'm not saying that nothing will happen,
but this stern like I'm gonna put my foot down
and show you who's in charge you the league. I
don't see it happening.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
It can't just be eight million dollars or something like that,
because what it's absolutely worth it at that point, Rob
if you told like, let's say that the Clippers had
won a championship.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
If you tell me that all I had.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
To do was get fined a little eight million dollars,
but me and Kawhi won a championship or two, I'm
doing it again. Or if I'm another team, I'm doing
it because it's clearly worth it. A little fine ain't
gonna do nothing. If you're telling me I can go
get one of the best players in the league and
have a shot that wanted a championship. So something's gonna
have to give, all right, Otherwise I'll do it too.
If I'm another team rop I'm doing it if it ain't.
(14:34):
What's the point if I ain't getting in trouble.
Speaker 3 (14:36):

(16:56):

Speaker 13 (17:26):
I'm gonna go with Cavin this time.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Man.
Speaker 12 (17:28):
I think I think Adam said we need to really
just come down and show the league. You know, we
gotta need some draft picks. Dollar and I'm talking like
a Hall maybe three or four.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Rob.
Speaker 12 (17:38):
I know, Kawhi your boy, but I think about three
good first roll and said do them back to back
to back.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
You know, ma, only problem is I don't have any
uh he don't have a resume of doing that to
where I feel compelled to, like, I get it knowledge.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
I just think he's a tease two softs. He's a
sharming you know, he listens. He's tired of hearing that
from you, Rob, He's sick of it. Right now, he's
standing in the mirror.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Like, did you saying it wrong?
Speaker 12 (18:08):
I think you probably just do like a five million,
ten million dollars fine in one first round job.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Watch it's gonna be something that's gonna be softer. Then
you think, all right, thanks Tim, appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (18:17):

the pole pole on Kawhi Steve Billions bomber stepped on
toes to become a big inner, right he circumvented.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
This whole deal, Thank you, man.
Speaker 11 (20:02):
And let's not forget.
Speaker 14 (20:03):
I don't know why people think this man Adam Silva does.
Speaker 11 (20:06):
Not own the NBA. He works for the governator.
Speaker 14 (20:11):
So yes, if he goes off is because those owners
wanted it to be something.
Speaker 11 (20:16):
So he's not making moves. He's taking orders.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Man, But why would I want him to go?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
So if Bamber is taking advantage of like I could
have been doing it, I could have been giving guys
I want to do that.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
They didn't want to pay some of these guys. I'm
telling you he's right, m J.
Speaker 11 (20:31):
You're right, say that, Rob. I respect that.
Speaker 5 (20:35):
Man.
Speaker 11 (20:35):
You guys have a great short of Thanks for taking my.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
MJ knows what he's talking about.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
See what I'm saying. See that's how you be signing.
Is that how I sounds? That's how you sound. Not
as bad how you m that's even worse.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
I did that to Kirk Gibson when he was in Detroit.
Wasn't happy.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
We went at it.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
He went he deserved it.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
He does seem like he'd be about that go at
it life though, Yeah, he's he'd be about that life.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
Hey, Ron, real, it's the question, who's the last person
you hung up on the phone. He had a conversation
like that, Rick Berry? Really, No, he's not asking you
in general.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
I mean in general.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Oh no, I just block people like a lot of
people have been blocked.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
He's not the last mother, And I'll block it by
walk to block it, by wall to block it by
wall to you would block to if they tried to
this you.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
I did see you go on a spree of responding
to Twitter two three days. Yeah, you went on a
spree like you're you're you're look at this and look
at that.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
You're wrong. Ha, But you listen to the show you
was going hand on him.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
No, cause a couple of people. I just I don't
like that, you know, like it's one thing if you
want to engage me and and push back on my point.
But when you say, oh, nobody's who cares about your opinion?
Why would you comment on something that that that didn't matter?
Speaker 13 (22:05):
Right?
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Would you say, rob G? Are we six thirty? We
got something else going on? All right, let's go all right?
That's what he said. When you want to hear yesterday
he was like, look, we're having a fun show. He's
gonna snitch it up, right, rob G?
Speaker 2 (22:26):
I said that.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yes, I said that yesterday because I know when Rob
G's off, he ain't listening to the show. Because He
barely listens when he's here, so I know that he's
not listening. So I could say that he said, we like,
can we get to breathe? And then Kelvin's gonna go
like and drop time right on the air with Rob,
Rob g Who do you have less respect for what
(22:48):
I said behind your back or what he said on
your face?
Speaker 5 (22:51):
And less respect if I say it behind my background
rather you say it to my face.
Speaker 9 (22:57):
See if it's free, it's for be sure to catch
live editions of The Odd Couple with Rob Parker and
Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Five is a big week.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
In the big leagues.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Who's a five? Believe?
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Is it foul?
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Or is it fair?
Speaker 9 (23:26):
And now from mlbdbro dot com, here's JR. Gambell.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
That's right, it is valor affair here on the Couple
Fox Sports Radio. A second, when we go around the
diamond discuss all the biggest headlines in Major League Baseball
and or do so properly. We had to being a
real baseball expert, a guy who single handedly got mlb
bro twenty seven credentials to the All start.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Coming up on Tuesday. My guy JR. Gamy.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
We got a lot. I'm happy about that.
Speaker 13 (23:53):
It's not the seventies, and.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
No it ain't.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
But shoot, y'all got five y'all in the building. That's right,
we're in the building for.
Speaker 13 (24:02):
Sure, for sure. What's up?
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Rob?
Speaker 13 (24:04):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (24:05):
I'm good? How are you? I'll see you on Sunday, No, Monday,
Monday morning.
Speaker 13 (24:09):
Yeah, robbed showing up after the All Star Game's over?
Speaker 5 (24:12):
No nice, JR. Just be on the lookout for a
conversation about a boneless couch.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Right, get ready now I'm trying to buy.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
He's gonna get you like twenty five minutes just on
the table talking about it.
Speaker 11 (24:22):
So just be ready.
Speaker 13 (24:22):
Oh wow, all right here wait.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
I got three baseball topics, and because JR is the
start of the second, gets the first crack at every
single one.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
So let's get to it.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
ESPN's Jeff Passing in front of the show suggested this
week that there is an eighty five percent You get.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
That number from eighty five that's weird nothing.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
I don't even know if it was him, because they
said Jeff Passing and MLB staff so Mayer, Yeah, but
he said eighty five percent chance that twer Schoolbo gets
dell out of the deadline. Of the teams he mentioned
could be in the mixer, of course, the Dodgers, the Yankees,
the Braves, the Blue Jays, and the Rays. Now we
know Tampa can't afford to re sign him if they
did get him, but they'll borrow him or fair say,
(25:01):
the race should make a move on Schooble, even if
it's just for a rental.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Fair's fair ball.
Speaker 13 (25:09):
I mean, you said they can't afford to resign him,
but that's by choice, but because every owner is a billionaire.
But if the Raids was serious about winning the World Series,
they go all in on school will at least ran
him for the rest of the season. We have seen
smaller market teams do that before. That's as close as
the organization will probably get the signing a huge free
(25:30):
agency So if injuries continue to decimate the Yankees, you
know this took be Tampa's opportunity to make a serious run.
So Schooble is a game changer in the rotation. He's still,
you know, in his prime. They don't have to and
they don't have to keep him, so why not give
it a run one year. They have to get serious
about winning the World Series. And of course the Yankees
(25:51):
and the Dodgers will be in the running. Blue Jays,
but they they're all attractive destinations. But Tampa could really
help their cause this season. Gonna di just go for it.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
I say fair, it's a fair ball, and absolutely why not.
I would. I would just go in, put all my
chips in and I'm gonna steal one from the Rams.
F the picks. I don't care about the young kids.
I'm serious. Like, if I could get I got a
team that's in first place there well four games or
three games out of the Yankees for four games, I
(26:21):
would take a chance like maybe this. Yeah, the American
League is weak right now.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
I'm just gonna jump right in with the fair because
you guys are right listen, and one thing I'll say
that I'll kind of take from you.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
We talk about a lot a lot of small markets. Hey,
if we win one, we're good for ten to fifteen years.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
The Kansas City Wards won in twenty fifteen. It's been
eleven years.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
This ain't the Dodgers Yankees.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
You know Astros now because they've been in the mixed
last decade where like we gotta win all the time.
If the Rays were to sneaking up, you know, get
sneak one here, hold it.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Down for decade fifteen, you're good to go, good to go.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
And also, didn't we see this Rangers exactly? Didn't we
see didn't they do this with Max shirts? And didn't
teams bringing him before? And I got of it, you know,
so I think it's the that rcenary. You go get
a guy for a year and and then see what
you can do.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
So make sense to me.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
And Jordan Walker just hit a three run home run
for the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
He's hot.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
He's gonna be in the home run derby a love
a young star playing the Y And Bryce Harper just
said he's gonna do it as well, So he's gonna
do it.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Well, you felt like he had to.
Speaker 13 (27:20):
Yeah, he had to do something for that legend tick.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
All right, Question number two, astro star, you're Don Alvarez
making rather triple crown as you know it leads the
AL at home runs RBI and his second in batting average. Now,
while Alvarez himself has downplayed the whole situation, Team Ma
Jose L Twove says it just proves that Alpharez is
the best hitter in baseball period. Guys foul or fair,
(27:43):
they say Alvarez has surpassed Rob's third favorite, Aaron Aaron
Judge is MLB's best hitter.
Speaker 13 (27:51):
The Betty good to me Fair's fair ball for this season,
for this season, Alfred, because we know he's not new
to the game. He's been a threat for a minute
in Major League Baseball. He's only played five full seasons,
meaning you know, more than fifty games. He's had a
couple of seasons where he played less than fIF there,
(28:11):
and he's one homer short, I believe of two hundred
unless he hit one tonight. So what makes him special
is that he's a lifetime two ninety eight batter in
my opinion. You know, he's slugging five to eighty opp
coach to four hundred. He's more Frank Thomas than Kyle
Schwarber right now, that's rare in today's game. However, Judge
is also a high average hit of fellas when healthy,
(28:32):
and nobody can you know, nobody can match his power.
But right now, be hard to argue that Albarez is
not the best all around threat at the plate. With
Judge on the sideline foul.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
That is a sound well only because he's heard. It's
not like if Judge was playing and Alvarez was doing this,
then maybe I would buy into that. The only reason
that Albarrest is where he is and what's going on
is because Judge isn't playing the sideline Judge. He hit
three thirty one last year in the league where the
average batting averages to forty two, almost one hundred points
(29:08):
better than everybody else who's doing it against the better
pitching guys throwing one hundred miles an hour, guys not
pitching full complete games or deep in the game, so
you got fresh arms all the time. He is one
of the greatest hitters we've ever seen in baseball.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
That's why the answered it. Yeah, no, he is.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
That's why the answer is fair though, because it's exactly
just say it's fair. He is the best hitter right now,
but when Aaron Jude comes back, Aaron Jones will be
the best hitter. So that's why the answers fair. Yes,
he is currently rob g but in a matter of
whatever it will be when when Judge is back, Will
you know what I'm talking about?
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Yeah? No, no, no, he's he's spectacular Alpharez, but Aaron.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Ud Catcher hit sixty home runs student game, I didn't
win MVP. That that's the think about that.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Jay. Are you know that that's possible?
Speaker 8 (29:53):
Right?
Speaker 2 (29:54):
I thought it was. I thought that's why I thought
he would win.
Speaker 13 (29:56):
It, right, Yep, Yeah, he was close. He couldn't have one.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
But judge, he had such a great season at the
plate they couldn't deny him.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
And by the way, there's the season after season, the
season at the season.
Speaker 13 (30:08):
Yeah, pretty much all right, last one.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Fouler Fair Jr.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
Gamble sitting in with the odd couple guys show Atani,
Rob's favorite player in baseball just hit his three hundred.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Today on MLB Network. Make sure you check out the podcast,
right and.
Speaker 11 (30:26):
Both, Oh my god, I got to catch that.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Ye oh god, oh god. It couldn't have been Otani
career homers.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
And now the nerds at MLB dot com are already
projecting that he'll wind up hitting a total of five
hundred and seventeen when he decides.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
To hang them up. Now.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
Five seventeens a lot, right, but it would still only
rank twenty third all time.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
So JR foul or fair to.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
Say Otani cannot nt be considered an all time great
home run hitter.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
That is a saddle ball.
Speaker 13 (31:02):
I'm sorry to tell you guys. Anybody in the top
fifty to one hundred all time in home runs in
Major League baseball history is a great home run hitter.
So Okani is the only play in history to go
fifty to fifty. So you already know who hits them
things out the part at an all time rate. And
any player who come on, any player who finishes with
five hundred homers that's Rob's magic number as a BBWA
(31:26):
Hall of Fame voter, as projected, is a great home
run hitter. I mean, there's been twenty three thousand, seven
hundred major league players, Kelvin, and only twenty eight have
hit five hundred homers. So anybody who does that is
an all time legend for sure.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Found that is a saddle ball.
Speaker 13 (31:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah found.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
No, No no way as if is if fair or
foh say he's not. No, you're saying it's fair fair?
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Fail?
Speaker 3 (31:55):
Does that lay up for this guy through the lib
i'n't even gonna say. You're gonna say fair?
Speaker 2 (31:58):
Right?
Speaker 3 (31:58):
And this is my point. Yes, when you talk about
the all time great like Otani for where he is
and he's MVPs.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
How is he not going to be in the top ten?
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Like to finish in their twenty three and I get it,
four or five on your home runs is great, your
Hall of famer, but twenty three is not the number.
Otani needs to finish in the top ten for people
to look at him the same way to look at
Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, like Babe Root's been dead for
one hundred years, and where is he? And he's still there? Right,
(32:28):
He's still there. He's still there.
Speaker 13 (32:31):
They already do.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
In the words of my fellow brother J R.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Gamble Foul, that is a So you're telling me this
man up twenty third and that's the projection.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Mean he might miss around to be like eighteen. Boy
might be less, or it might be less.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
But my point, if he's in the twenties, let's just
go there and not to mention whatever numbers will have
as a picture, whatever numbers have as a story. We
talked about a great home run, but I aout knowing
that he did all of that and he still ended
up at twenty third. That's incredible.
Speaker 13 (32:59):
So it's as Wow, only twenty eight guys with five
budget homers, and and.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
They'd been playing baseball. We wasn't even freed yet. They
were still playing MLB free a lost free a love.
We wasn't even free. MLB existed, and you're telling me
he's twenty third or something all time. And that's the problem.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
That's that's phoula fair free last last about it?
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Why did you have that on deck? Thank you effing best, Alex.
You might have been in your back.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
Alex is in his back, all right.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Man, appreciate your jr. Alex.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
That was one of thea that was one of your
top pools of all that A Kawhi laugh like whenever
we need see but those are you know?
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Okay. MLK was like, where'd you have that? Is that
a hot button? Don't worry about it.
Speaker 7 (33:48):
I was on my box haying no intention to the
man behind the curtain when I was in my MLK bag.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Yeah, when I was in the bag. Somebody got mad
when I did that, by the way, I yeah, I
remember doing it.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
In Detroit and it was maybe MLK Day or whatever,
and we were just throwing people's names and we were
like adding the junior like Martin Luther King Junior, and
they're like, oh dude, yeah, like why why are you mad?
Speaker 1 (34:14):
I guarantee you Martin Luther King will be laughing. Sometimes
we forget like I'm sure he had a really, I've
heard he had great It was just junior, you know
what I mean, were really making fun of the media.
People had to relax, all right. Last Call eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox. Last Call, as long as
you agree with Robbie won't hang up on you. It's
that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Last Call. It is up eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 6 (34:38):
We've got some difficult days ahead, but it really doesn't
matter with me now because I've.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Been to the mountain.
Speaker 11 (34:46):
Pop, I don't mind.
Speaker 6 (34:54):
Like anybody, I would like to live a long a
long life. Longevity has its place, but I'm not concerned
about that now.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
I just want to do Gaun's will. And he's allowed
me to go up to the mountain and I've looked
over and I've seen right here the Promised Land.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
I may not get there with you, and I want
you to know the night that we.
Speaker 6 (35:29):
Have a people who will get to the Promised Land.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
And he said he I wasn't scared. He said, I
don't fear that man because he knew his time was short.
Alice that
