(02:21):
should be. And again, as always, check us out on YouTube,
Rob Genie Todd, Mobbians, Youtubeians, mob couples.
Speaker 7 (02:28):
Oh, I got several. You know, some of them I
can't read on the air. Some of them I can
read on the air. I've seen some of them. Yes,
I have the one I did want to point out though,
aggravated man three sixty five. Uh man, he says, where's
Rob Parker b I C C C H A.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
I was wrong. I think he was ready to get
at right. It seems like a lot of people.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Well he did say the spur, we're not gonna lose
another game, and boy did they lose. And the thing
about it is they didn't just lose. It happens, right,
They lost in epic fashion. Yes, twenty two point lead,
twenty nine point leads, that's you.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Say, twenty nine.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Fifty sixteen, last game, up double digits in every game,
and again it just proved my whole point to Robert
and I said this to him a million times, just
to repeat it one more time real quick, which we'll
get into. Jalen Brunton, I have robb Gy set us
up for that. It's just experienced. That was my whole thing.
And you mentioned something the last hour, kept telling he
wants to fire. Miss Johnson said no, the Spurs were
(03:34):
ahead of schedule. I think the Spurs organization loved their
new coach. He's been around the organization. He said, fire,
Miss Johnson. Already, yes, come on, man, Rob.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
J Malion, he said fire.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
After the twenty nine point he did come on, but
it was already knew he was gonna say it.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Rob j On I fought, said, let me guess fire,
Miss Johnson.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Yeah, but my thing is, yes, that's unexcu inexcusable and unforgivable.
But my thing is, I said to him, and I
believe this that the Spur we won thirty something game,
think thirty three last year. In their minds, I thought
they'd be high forties, you know, with the healthy winby
maybe touch fifty, getting the first second round, you know,
the incremental growth.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
What is happening. When that's happening, they're learning and growing experience.
He is too.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
I don't think they expected a thirty eight thirty nine
year old coach to be in Game sevens versus Thunder,
and then and then in the NBA Finals and against
a grizzled Nick team and a coach who's been there before,
like they skipped a few, you know, lessons, And I
think mis Johnson was in that thing like.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Somebody give me my palm mad.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
And he was trying to figure this thing out, and
like the idd them, fine, I fire my young coach,
who I believe in the Spurs organization is too well
run for that. But I'm like, why, my fun I
think he just had to go through it that you
would hope maybe, you know, he kind of go through it,
maybe getting the postseason one or two more times in
you're in the finals, not just jump straight to the finals.
And he's got to figure this thing out on the
fly with a bunch of young guys, first, second year,
(04:58):
thirty year guys. So that's all. I wasn't on the
team fire Mims Johnson. I think he was out coach
from a Mike Brown, who's a vet, he's had many
of his own team.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Dude, he's coach.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Lebron he's he's had his name with the Warriors. It's like, na,
that's the guy who's been around the block and knows
what he's doing. And he's had his lumps absolutely, which
is why there was some criticism of him, is like,
is this the guy any And to his credit, he
proved him right, and so did Jalen Brunson.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
Robb gi Oh shout out to Jalen Brunson, short Kings,
stand up.
Speaker 5 (05:25):
I'm standing up right now.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
You can't tell I saw you. I saw, I saw
a little rhyme. I saw, I saw, I saw the
ol Bowl do this right here, I said man.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
Jalen bruns a unanimous Finals MVP and mon Leven voter
because he had forty five points in the clinker. He
was the only guy on their team who wasn't afraid
of the moment, at least in the first half.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
YEP shot four to seven for three.
Speaker 7 (05:42):
Point range, thirteen to fifty in the foul line, fifteen
points in the fourth quarter. They needed all fifteen to
get the win. Just for context, what Jalen Brunston has
done during this run here became one of only four
players including Michael Jordan, Giannis, Bob Pettt to score at
least forty five in the closeout game. Okay joins Kareem MJ.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Bill.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
Walton is the only players ever to win an NCAA
National Championship, Nate Smith College Player of the Year, an
NBA title, and an.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
NBA Finals MVP.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
Shout out to Jalen freaking bruntson.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
And all of that. What you just said to me,
rom G is why he's going to be a Hall
of Famer. Jalen Brunson will be a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Now. Shout out to Deon Sanders.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
One of the things I always loved he always said
is when some of these guys start getting the NFL
Hall of Fame, it tell you what, baby, We're gonna
have to have some wings in that thing, because you're
gonna have to be a wing with me, you know.
And because he's right like to put let's say, Eli
sneaks in yep, and the Deon Sanders and Barry Sanderson,
they're like, hey, that dude is with Joe Montagna like
he with us. So I said that to say, we'll
(06:44):
see what wing Jalen Brunson will get into when his
career is over.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
I think there's still much to be desired.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
He's twenty nine years old, so I think he's got
you know, four more All Stars and five more All
Star Games appearances. They'll have a few more, what two
three All NBA, whatever the team may be, and those
things like that.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Maybe clutch player.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
At you whatever he's But the reason he's gonna get
there is because you just mentioned it, rob g. There's
something to be said about a dude. At the end
of this, we all just kind of scratched our chaining.
Now I think about it, I don't know why to
due was the thirty third pick or this dude is
simply a winner Kerry Yes, high school, yes, too small
(07:22):
two and this not at a check win college. I mean, yeah,
but you ain't gonna be Dukee North Carolina cans up
win twice, you lucked out? Okay win Hey, okay, all right,
well you're still too small tools stop, probably not in
shape enough in their minds. He didn't, you know, he's
not ripped up like Russell Westbrook and okay, thirty third
pick okay, cool plays well with Luca yep to the
tune of like, oh dang, maybe he might be actually
(07:43):
a real player in these streets. The Knicks get him,
that's terrible signing, Well, New York, that's the best you
can do.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Plays well.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Fifty wins, fifty wins, fifty wins for that team, first
time they had it in decades that they had that.
They had the fifty you know, three straight seasons, inching
closer in the playoffs, all star appearances, clutchable board, all
NBA big facts and what does he do get And
this is the key part for me. He got to
the finals, and I love this part that he didn't
(08:11):
play well those first couple of games, right, he was inefficient,
He was kind of hero ball. And I said Carrie
that I think some of that the mushion by winby
the pushing around Stefan Cassel just shoved him. I think
he took it to personally where he was like trying
to show him too much, and he kind of got
out of his own flow and the team flow in
game three, and that's what got them out of that rhythm.
(08:33):
But to see what he did in the last two games,
to the tune of that forty five piece masterpiece, what
he was able to do, how he did it, trying
to work around and see if guy's gonna come with me.
I got my dog, Karl Anton Towns Okay, he is
not playing today. The brother got two points and he
following any and everybody. Some of them won't good cause
I'll give him that, but he's not with me. Wasn't
(08:54):
with me the game before. Thank God for og and
I think he had I gotta get this done, and
he had that stone cold killer in him. He did
that stone cold I'm getting it done in between high school.
Remember this isn't the NBA Hall of Fame. It's Nate
Smith Basketball Hall of Fame. High school college to two championships,
(09:16):
now finals MVP, and he's twenty nine and who knows
what else he'll do the next five six years. Carry
and my last point, there's a lot of guys that
we will put ahead of them. We have when his career,
when it's about to be sating, don nigga, hes gonna
be able to be like, hey, you know, why is
he over me? Why is Damian living over me? Top
seventy five player? But like why I know? And you're
gonna be like, what you know?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
What I mean? Why is Kyrie Kyrie talent? Wise?
Speaker 4 (09:40):
We all see that, don't get it twisted, I know,
but I'm talking about what he'll have that look at
you like why And it'll be a handful of people
when his career is done that he'll be able to say,
I hear you a.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Little more aesthetically preasing to me. I get that, But
why him over me?
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Because all I did was win and a lot of
people wrote him off and or he's this, he's that,
and he kept getting it done. And now you look
at the Natesmith Hall of Fame. Look, me and Rob
both agree it ain't the NBA. Yeah, because there's some.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Players in there.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
I would be hold on, now, y'all got to get out.
If this was just strictly your NBA career.
Speaker 6 (10:11):
Yeah, you're talking about you're talking about our beating Simonas
and those cats like Therell tak Yeah, I'll take him
out just because he was mostly the world.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
But I mean some NBA players. Yeah, it's some NBA
players you like, you got it? Hold up? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (10:26):
The thing about Jalen, and you know I know a
lot about Jayalen. He got drafted to my Dallas Mavericks, right,
so I remember, I mean I remember when he got
drafted same draft as Luca. They came in the same time,
and I remember them kind of going through the process.
They were they were close, really, you know, really good buddies,
and you could see their rapports starting to build. And
you can also start to see in that rookie year,
(10:48):
Jalen didn't get a lot of time. He played a
little bit, and you could kind of see like he
we weren't we weren't sure. Year two came, started to
get more planning time. He's more getting into that six
man role, and he was coming off, you know, giving
Luca some some some reprieve from hellling the ball to
the second unit, and he wasn't even looking to score.
He was more of a distributor. He was more of
a floored general. And you saw that. Then that third
(11:10):
year came right and Luca got hurt in the playoffs, yep,
and JB had to like really man the ship.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
And you're looking like Ollo, that's.
Speaker 6 (11:18):
He got thirty points against Utah and then you're like, okay,
wait a minute, Oh he's got forty. And you could
see where he could go and you could see how
he learned how to play that position and learn how
to be the killer that he is today. So I
saw it building since for me when he got when
he got traded to New York, I knew he was
gonna be a great pickup, but not this. I'm not
(11:40):
gonna even say I thought. I don't think anybody could
have saw this. They talked to Jay Wright, his college coach.
He didn't even know this. This was the version we
was going to get.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Talked to us that Rick Brunson said, I ain't think
I knew he'd be making make to the lead. I
din't think he was gonna be all right.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
And so just with that being said, and what he's
been able to achieve and did level that he's been
able to do it at in the biggest market in
the world, and I know how that market if. I'm
sure there's been games when people are like, oh, this
is the best thing since sliced bread, and I'm sure
there's been moments when they're saying he's too small, he
(12:14):
can't get it done. Like I know, these things exist
in the same universe. And so for him to be
able to man this thing and be the undeniable leader
and also just be the killer that he is and
go out and get this.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Thing done, there's no way he's not that guy.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Postseason. Jalen Brunson is what we thought James Harden would be. Yes,
we would, We hoped he would be. Jaalen think thought, Kevin,
I think, nope, we.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Not even know.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
You thought because you thought it was given because you
saw a regular season thirty six Sure, well so you
you you thought like, oh this because Washington carriers great
players in the NBA elevate when the pressures all with
a mattermost yes, that's what made them great.
Speaker 6 (12:58):
But we saw James Harden and his first year when
they made it to the championship, he's coming off the bench.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
And he didn't do it. Then it might have been
written on the wall they.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Was.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
You know, he did it and the first one Jalen
Brunton is what a lot of players we think. And
again he's not as naturally gifted, meaning he's not faster,
he's not athletic as some of these guys. But when
it's time to kill and to win the game, and
the inspired team in some cases drag a team, Oh yeah,
(13:28):
ain't got it, Okay, come on, I got chall just
come on, come on. He been he's been able to
do that. And again, you look at him last year
and he's been kept inching closer and closer. My second
round a couple of years ago. Last year gets an
Eastern Conference Finals game seven versus or the Pacers got
a chance that got in there last year.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
You never know. Once you get there.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
This year, get there, get it done down, double ditchs
and five straight games.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
That's cool. Let me drag these dudes. And again, obviously
O G. Kat was great.
Speaker 8 (13:51):
First.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
See, I don't make it like they didn't do anything
about that at all.
Speaker 6 (13:53):
I was.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
I was screaming at the nobody's praises for sure. But
my point is, you knew, and this is the difference
with the Spurs. You knew that Jalen Brunson. The Knicks,
we knew we had a closer. And when I was
watching him left handed, crafty, not the fastest, not, I'm like, oh,
that's what we thought James Harden would be. Man, Oh,
(14:15):
James Harden thought we could close games out. You thought
he could lead teams, dragged teams, and you know, in
making up he's even had to maybe better teams in
the Knicks as far as throughout the Rocket years teams.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
You thought James Harden could do that.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
And I watched him like, that's the difference a dude
that said, I don't care, we're getting it done. But
if you track the track record that's been him high school, college,
now on the pros.
Speaker 6 (14:39):
Yeah, I mean you threw James Harden out there, I
would throw I would I would throw.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
In done of Mitchell as well.
Speaker 9 (14:45):
M hm.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
That's that's what we's thought he could do it as well.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
That's fair, I think because Donovan hasn't been as spectacular
as James Harden, like he's ever in an MVP camp.
Hard had a four year, five day I know, I
know it's where Look at Jason. He can't he can't
contain it at all. Look at it he's doing it.
I'm gonna call that boy, Jason Runson. Look at Jason
right now, got he look at them flexing the way,
(15:12):
ah fade away?
Speaker 1 (15:14):
What the left hand too?
Speaker 8 (15:16):
All right?
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Eight seven?
Speaker 4 (15:17):
I pete to that eighty seven seven ninety nine on
Fox Rob D. You're just real quick before you break,
you're just your thought? Am I crazy? For? Like, that's
what we thought Harden would be, being able to drag
a team. You know, just that that a guy. I'm
using them as example because kind of crafty like that
left hand guys makes you know that you're like, oh,
that's what we were always kind of thought he would
(15:39):
be for sure.
Speaker 7 (15:39):
And I'll tell you another thing that I think, and this,
to me feels like an even bigger compliment to him,
is few guys can say in the pantheon of the
NBA that they maximize.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
Their ability more than Jalen Brunton. Yes, to your point,
he's listed at six to Nobody thinks he's sixty.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
He's six max.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
He's listed at one ninety. He's a little more than one ninety.
Speaker 8 (16:01):
Right.
Speaker 7 (16:02):
He's not fast, he's not explosive, he is tenacious, he
is skilled. He knows that you know I'm on athletic.
He knows that you know I can't jump out of
the gym. So I'm gonna use that to my advantage.
I'm gonna use my big body, I'm gonna use angles.
I'm gonna do whatever I have to do to get
the job done. And that's something that I think deserves.
It is even more impressive to me because there's the
(16:23):
NBA and sports in general are littered talented dude talented
dudes throughout history. This guy is incredible man. You remember
watching this guy play man. He could jump out of
the gym. You can do it, Jylen bruns He can't
do any of that stuff. But he found a way
to turn whatever advantages he had, whether it's having a
dad as a former NBA player or having a great
coaching college at Villanova, And he maximized every single ounce
(16:47):
of talent that he had. And I think that's gonna
be what I'm remember him those about it.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
I like that. I love that.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Ye absolutely love that eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
A couple of great ways of looking at it. Did
that's a little five As a Hall of famer? Nobody's
saying he he's the best players of all time. That
will still be left to be determined where his exactly,
you know how the Nate Smith NBA Hall of Fame
is or in Basketball Hall of Fame?
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Was that enough? Was there more?
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Did he maximize his talent? Jalen Brunson. Did he do
it for the small guys? Eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox? I wasn't talking about you, right?
Speaker 1 (17:19):
He threw his hands on thirteen times?
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Yeah, I think I just like, I don't know, I
might have been like a half inch out of the
small guy might still be right.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
You're probably taller than Jalen Brunson.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
We might be no. Nah, that's all, Kevin, that's.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
No.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
If Jalen Brunton is six two, I'm six too, I'm
gonna call him Clay.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
I'm gonna call it.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Play my Goodness and stick with your boys eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox Hit us up Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
By the way, let's telling them about M drive, Kerry. Look, Kevin,
when M drive first came to me, I'll be honest,
I never heard.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Of it, need that.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
But then I started to pay attention to what was
going on my body. You know, I'm trying to bring
spelt back, and I said, hey, let me let me
find out about him.
Speaker 8 (17:59):
Drive.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Well look sane, but after forty energy drops and weight
won't move.
Speaker 8 (18:03):
The gym.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Stop giving back what you put in. I don't like
how you keep pointing them and you're saying, wait, mind
your business. It's not a testosterone folks. And of course
you think it's you, but it's not the case telling
them about testosterone. It declines after forty and it takes
everything with it.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Mdrive is built for just that thing.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
So you can take two capsules every morning if you
wake up, do that, or you can take they have
a powder form version works the same. Alex always makes
us our smoothies as well the ingredients that support healthy testosterone,
energy and metabolism.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
No, here's what got me, all right.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
A scientist named Gary Keyhole built this thing almost twenty
years ago for himself and after feeling the same change.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
And you know what, of course, we're both working on
our health, trying to do right. M Drive is a
part of that.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Over a million men use it l sixty day money
back guarantee.
Speaker 1 (18:44):

Yeah, I'm it ain't for me. What that sound good?
All dudes dreams that sound good? I don't know, Robbie,
that's Robberie's staying stared at the computer. It sounds good.
Speaker 8 (21:21):
It ain't.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
But Carol, it don't even married. My wife is amazing.
I'm blessed. But the idea of having multiple like that,
why you why you spend over there white too much time?
What'd you get? Why are you hugging about one of
my time? Did you get?
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Me?
Speaker 8 (21:34):
Said that?
Speaker 1 (21:35):
It don't even sound good to me as what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
You know what I'm saying When you're exactly when you're young,
that sounds good, bro That bru that's a lot of emotion.
That's a lot of jealousy, a lot of who you
spending time. That's just that you don't think he has
that all like preordained though, Like he has like a
video where they sit down and watch.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Like welcome to Neil's group. You're gonna be involved one
thousand percent. I think he is. In his mind.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
It sounds good until she got the better ring? Why'd
she get to go with you to distrib? Was wear
her last?
Speaker 1 (22:04):
And I thought you and it can be that way
to start. Yeah, that's Alex.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
But yeah, human nature takes o kicks in, all right,

Magic City Monday. Hopefully been a great day for you.
It's been a great show for us. By the way,
every day truck and bus drivers, well they are out
there keeping America moving and working to keep our road safe.
But large and heavy vehicles don't stop like cars. You
know that they need more time and a lot more space.
So remember stay back, stay safe. America's pros relying on
you paid for by FMCSA. All right, let's take these
(23:32):
calls carry We were having a conversation to just I
believe at this point Jalen Brunson. Again, I'm not saying
he's on the Magic Johnson Larry Bird level of the
Hall of Fame, but just the way that we know
the Basketball of Fame is I think that performance, the
way he did it, the way he went about it.
He didn't just ran win one where he was a participant.
He came out there and took that game two games
in a row, and it choked the life out of
(23:53):
the Spurs. He's already won two in college, he's one
in high school. He's been an All MBA. I just
think he's headed. He's in just the way it goes
in not the NBA Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Na.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Yes, maybe I'm crazy. Eight seven, seven, nine nine, Fox,
I take some calls. Let's se if the calls, Let's
see if the calls agree with you. Kelvin, we got
Dion in Texas. You owned with the odd couple.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Man, how are you?
Speaker 4 (24:14):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (24:14):
I'm doing well, Cherry and Calvin. Look Calvin, hey man,
you ain't got to sell to us that know some basketball.
You know exactly what you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Brother.
Speaker 8 (24:22):
First of all, we need an all trash rock Parker.
I bet he ain't on the show today cause he
got He's getting in this feeling so hard right now.
Everybody been on trash him. He kicked the Knicks one
and eight in the last nine games Cleveland to sweep them,
and he picked uh the Spurs in every single game.
And this is why people and he said, Jaylen Brunson,
(24:43):
what in a Star. Hey, man, you did.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
I'm glad you here for these receipts. Alex, are you
recording these receipts?
Speaker 8 (24:51):
Please record them because that was blasph of me. Man,
that was malarkey. I don't know what to say.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
That was.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
That was just crazy.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
I was.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
Taylor Bronson has been a four year starter. He already
has eleven thousand career points, and Jeff as a four
year starter. So that dude's given New York Knicks fans,
He's given teams buckets. Okay, he's a singular reason that
that team, that organization is stable right now. And then
you added some pieces around him, his dad and some
friends of his from college. Hey, those dudes are getting
(25:22):
the job done. He's a bonafid Hall of Famer for sure,
definitely the Natesmith Hall of Fame for sure. And you guys,
that was a great topic the way y'all discussed it earlier. Man,
I expected a lot of players that's bigger and taller
and more regarded. This dude's a second round draft pick.
I expect a lot of first round draft picks to
have done what he's accomplished. So this dude is definitely
(25:44):
the best American guard at least right now, Halliburton, I'm
not big on him. I need to see what he's
gonna do when he come back for injury. He was
like a one year wonder and he did. He performed
very well. That was out of nowhere. But this ain't
out of nowhere. Jaylen Brunt has been given the Knicks
fans buckets for four straight seasons. Fifty wins in a row,
all four seasons. And uh yeah, he's that dude. Guys,
(26:06):
and I appreciate the show. Great, listen to you.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
I appreciate you, man, great call brother, appreciate you. All right,
who we got next? Who next?
Speaker 6 (26:13):
He came in with the facts and we got justin
in Nashville. You owned the odd couple. Man, how are you?
Speaker 11 (26:19):
I'm good, happy, Magic City Monday.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
No doubt saying to you. He's an like he was
just left. He was having just left with him in
right now to a few ones in the air. Had
a little honey and coke.
Speaker 8 (26:33):
Ho did have a little, Henny didn't have a little.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
There you go, judge, you got man.
Speaker 11 (26:39):
So I just want to say on the day and
Brunton topic man. Of course he's in the Hall of Fame,
he just took one of the NBA's most famous teams
after a fifty year stint and got him a championship.
If anything like me, he's gonna pay that.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
So.
Speaker 11 (27:01):
And also before I get off the phone, I just
want to shout out another small hero of the NBA Finals.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
Jose Alvarado.
Speaker 9 (27:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (27:10):
I loved that kid. He actually played ball with my
cousin Moses, right ahc Player of the Year at Georgia Tech.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
What's up Moses, Moses.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (27:21):
So just for him to come home as a Brooklyn
native Puerto Rican dude, man was the next day. I mean,
this is like some cinematic Disney story stuff. So I
just want to shout out Jose Alvarado, Man, I'm so
proud of you, dude. And then with Jalen Brunton, man,
of course he's a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Appreciate it, man, thank you for the car.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
I'll tell you what, Jose Alvarado definitely about to get
a Netflix little movie. Like he might not have a
big budget, they might only spend nine hundred thousand on it,
but he gonna get a movie. He might have the
front half of it himself. Start starting bow wow, You'll
be on two B. Yeah, it'll be on two B
starring bow Wow. Though as him, what's some braids? That's crazy.
(28:02):
They got to get somebody else starting, maybe Trey Young
playing him. You think Trey Young playing Let's take one more,
get to it. Let me get back in here, and
we're gonna give you a World Cup update. We've got
a couple of goals since I've turned around, been missing
it here. We hope we got an andre in Massachusetts.
(28:22):
You owned with the odd couple. Man, How are you?
Speaker 8 (28:26):
How you doing? Is Brooklyn in the house? Everybody up
about Jose.
Speaker 9 (28:33):
Jose took his time met to the Puerto Rican parade
fresh off of the NBA Championship, you know, coming haling
from Brooklyn over that join New York. And that's really
the heart of the matter when we're talking about a
jail in Bruns and he's also one of these knicks
that's loyal to the soil and came back and that
was the vision to end up where we are now.
(28:55):
And you know, the point of fact is, I think
a lot of folks in the next nation we saw
what was building. We didn't underestimate him like a lot
of other folks because he's not this explosive athlete. You know,
it's not the NFL Combine.
Speaker 8 (29:07):
It's basketball.
Speaker 9 (29:07):
It's a skill game. He's highly skilled, and he has
great resilience because he's been told no.
Speaker 8 (29:13):
All right.
Speaker 9 (29:14):
That's the best thing that can happen for young athletes
if somebody tells you no, you're not as good as
you think you are, and you have to work through adversity.
And that's the true blueprint. And it's turned itself out
like we thought. Okay, But he goes to Villanova just
like a Michael Jordan goes to Deans to North Carolina
and he gets actual instruction. So he comes into the
NBA as a full blown adult, ready to work and
(29:35):
earn his spot. And so the bottom line is he
is the central piece of what we call La Cosava
or the Nova Nicks. That's the foundation with Heart and
Michale Bridges and we lost Ragu. I want Ragu to
be a part of this, but he's in Minnesota. But
they established the foundation under the Caple leadership of Tom Thibodeaux.
You bring in Karl Anthony Towns, who's from Jersey, shout
(29:56):
out to Don Bosco and there's your Nucleus.
Speaker 8 (29:58):
You going, oh, ain't.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Man drew the game? Us the whole nick run down
to and you know what's seventy two? And then walked
Clive Fraser. And let me tell you, I know you excited, Dre.
You've been calling in every day to tell Rob how
wrong he is. And the Knicks are gonna get it done.
Go New York, Go New York.
Speaker 8 (30:15):
Go boy.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
That boy drew boy, he was going yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
And then let me tell you when Alan Houston made
that shot and Larry Johnson in the four point play
in for forty And if you think about it, when Latreille,
what he was doing was he wasn't gonna choke that coach. No,
he was gonnachoke down Charlie Ward. Then to protect them man,
Charlie War. I don't know if you knew this. He
won a Heisman trait, he did win boe what he
was doing. And then you know pat Riley left the Lakers.
(30:40):
He brought championship. Dnay but shot and Andre
Speaker 1 (30:43):
The just messed with
