Speaker 3 (00:36):
Kelvin?
Speaker 1 (00:36):
What that mean?
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Anybody but the cheese? That's like from the Super Bowl
last year? ABC.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Listen right, there's a whole bunch of people that excited
about that. And I get it. They've been you know,
V team for the last better part of eight seven
eight years or so. So absolutely, there's a whole contingency
of people are excited about that. There's no doubt the
NFL is real. Question do you think the NFL is
like you know, you love yours? Like the I think
they've had enough. I do.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
I think it's good to mix it around like they
had a run, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I get just.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Curious want some different team the Yankees, but even after
a while. You gotta be careful. You don't want them
every year when the Yankees had that run, you remember
that when with Jeter or Yeah, they won three in
a row, four out of five.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
You know what I mean, Gita, Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
There, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:25):

I don't know, as he said anything crazy lately, George wrong. Yeah,
we don't know.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
He's got some hot takes on this colleg football player.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, we can't wait to hear from that, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Former NFL tight end and of course host of the
Unafraid Show on x So we'll do that. We'll have
a last call. Of course, this update on the football
game still seven to three. Correct, the Chargers seven to
three over the Eagles. Kevin and I both agree Eagles
just need to win. It's not like like the sky's falling.
(02:34):
But you don't want to lose because they've lost three
in them row, right. I don't think you don't want
to just want to.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Wait to get back into the postseason. Absolutely, you want
to get things going.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
For loss in the row would be amazing and kind
of like that year, what was it after they went
to the Super Bowl, not the one that they.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
When they went and lost.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Remember they started out like ten to one and then
in that last stretch.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
They were they were brutal. They were brutal.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
So yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Okay, Rob, you got YouTube stuff?
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Yeah, Rob, great toss and there I appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
I do got some YouTube stuff here to talk about
before we get to this topic. They're coming on heavy,
the odd mob, the youtubeians. A lot of conversation stemming
from that disagreement between you all about Caleb Williams and
the Bears. Zach Florida says, Rob's not anti Caleb because
he looks Puerto Rican d e A one to seven
(03:30):
I says, Calvin, don't be soft yell back at that
old man.
Speaker 7 (03:33):
Oh wow, I said that. Huey Freeman says he a
Rob was right one time to making sure the world
knows about it. Shaking my head.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Whatever.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
Infamous k CT says Caleb's not playing well. They're winning
in spite of him. Okay, Freezer Barbecue says, damn. Friendships
are going to be lost over Caleb Williams.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Hey, they obviously didn't listen to the other show, right
because me and Chris we went at it all the time.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
And guess who showed up at my press box.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
Name and mister Kris gonna be real funny when I
didn't pay We try to break brand in the bay
for the super Bowl. Then Kelvin suddenly unavailable for any meal.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
That's gonna be real heal.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
No, what's gonna happen, Rob, It's gonna be me and
Chris bry.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
And this is my last was my favorite con Steller,
says Barb, that caller we had there in last hour,
she don't know Ball, Hey, you.
Speaker 8 (04:33):
Can't do like that. Don't leave to leave my boobala alone, Barb.
You can call whenever you want. So that was good
mob keep commenting. We'll read some more throughout the show,
but moving real quick. Yeah, where were they on the
on the Patrick mahoons Did you have stuff on the earlier?
Speaker 3 (04:52):
We had some good at.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
The top of the show. You know those those came
in so quick and so fast. Just curious, just a
few of them. Allen says, chiefs need to reset year
down here for the long term health. I mean, that's
not too crazy. Courtney Miller says, no toime. Patrick Mahomes.
He had them for two Super Bowls, the one they
lost with the Tom Brady talking about the Tyreek Hill dynamic.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Yeah, and added later.
Speaker 6 (05:15):
You can't give a player all the praise when they
win and then when they lose there's everybody else's fault.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Now that's my thing because Patrick doesn't always play well
the whole game. But then he might come up with
a big player or something, you know what I mean,
and he gets all the credit.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Oh my god, you know what I mean. And you
can't just always win.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Things don't go right, you start pointing at everybody else
and not.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
Patrick and Cam Trail just to close it off, says,
pretending like at least making the AC Championship game every
single year was sustainable.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Is hilarious.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
It was always going to end at some point. It's
just ending badly right now. Yeah, okay, so that's fair.
Speaking of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, if
the season ended today, of the big four quarterbacks past,
Mahomes and the Chiefs would not be in the postseason.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens would not.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Be in the po even though as poorly as they
played the only one game they want to be in it.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
I know, I'm just saying, and that's still ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
That tells you.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
This is like the NFC South of yesterday and last
but not least, Joe Burrow again he missed most of
the year, but him and the Bengals would not be
in it, which means of the Fantastic Four, the four Horsemen,
whatever you want to call it, the last of the Mohicans.
The only quarterback standing in the AFC where then he
salt is Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. He had
(06:34):
a big win yesterday against the Bengals. Trailing by ten
in the fourth, he went full Superman once again finished
the game.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
He win it or Joe Burrow loser.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
I'm just saying he made the plays when he had to,
including a forty yard touchdown run longest rushing touchdown by
a quarterback in Bill's history. And they had some good
quarterbacks back in the day, three hundred and twenty nine
total yards, four total touchdowns, which means if the playoffs
ended today, the only quarterback with their salt historically standing
(07:02):
in his way between a Super Bowl is a seventy
eight year old Aaron Rodgers and CJ. Stroud who has
two playoff wins, but let's be honest, has not been
the CJ. Stroud of yesteryear for about two seasons. Dub Well,
how much pressure is on Josh Allen right now heading
into both seasons?
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Josh Allen escapes a lot of pressure. To me, Rob
maybe you feel me on this work because he you know,
he just a lot of the conversations about Patrick Mahomes,
A lot of conversation goes to, of course Lamar Jackson
with his failures in the postseason. Maybe some is about,
you know, Matthew Stafford the last handful of years. Now,
of course Jayler hurts lose the Super Bowl, win a
(07:43):
super Bowl, and I feel like Josh Allen on he
kind of gets a lot of the praise. For the
most part, he's fantastic, he's spectacular, and he deserved the praise.
But to me, the pressure now, because of all the
way things just shook out, as Rob g you mentioned,
it now falls on his shoulders, right, the pressure Patrick
Mahomes because he's the face of the league, so on
and so forth, or Lamar Jackson can he You're so talented,
(08:04):
but when will it result in, you know, super Bowl appearance?
All of that to me is on Josh Allen. Now
you're the raigning Super Bowl MVP. You've got your same
COACHMVP MVP, you got your the ra you got your
same coach, you got your same system, same guys. So
it's not like you're in some unfamiliar situation. You are
in that same system, same place, same everything. To me,
(08:27):
it falls on him because Rob there are some other
teams that are really good, even in his own division.
The Patriots eleven and two. Drake may an MVP candidate,
looks like you know some people one or two depending
on where you put him, and Matthew Stafford. You got
other guys we mentioned, see this shrout, Is this the
real Trevor Lawrence that we're seeing. You got bow knicks.
So Forar, you got Josh Herbert, Justin Herbert who's playing
(08:48):
right now. There are young guys that are coming. That's
just in the AFC. Obviously you got some of the
NFC as well, or some of the old brigate as well.
This is he has the most experienced this, he says,
his chance to follow up that MVP season and then
go and get a Super Bowl MVP, get his team there.
So to me, this has all how it's all shook out,
(09:10):
it's on him because there's no better window than now.
Joe Burrow just showed you yesterday. A healthy Joe Burrow
the last couple of weeks reminded you, Oh, this is
what I do. If I'm healthy, I'm up and running.
I'm spectacular. Patrick Mahomes might come right back next year.
We'll have to wait and see what they do over
the offseason. Lamar Jackson should be right back to where
he is last season as well. So you got these
(09:32):
guys who are coming back, let alone in the mix
of the young guys in your own conference, not even
bringing in the NFC. So this is the perfect opportunity
for him being the elder statesman, aside from of course
Aaron Rodgers to go in there. You've got the experiences,
you have an opportunity to finally get that ring because
it's going to be so hard moving forward, and it's
(09:53):
always hard to win a super Bowl. We know that.
So to me, the onus, the pressure, the eyeballs should
be on him. It's yours and we had a conversation
in the NBA. It's not apples to apples, but similar
how I felt the last few seasons for Attatakupo Janni's
when it's like, dude, you're the best player in the conference.
Conference is wideo, but it's not just like a million
(10:14):
teams you gotta deal with. You should be able to
get to the finals, that's all Pheel Josh Allen. You
should be able to get to the super Bowl and
hopefully win one for you in the city and the
team finally, because the pathway is there for the best
player and probably football let alone, you know left in
the playoff hunt.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Yeah, I disagree.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
I think that they still have you talked about it
before that he has to do so much in order
for that team to win. That talks about the deficiencies
that that team has top fifteen in scoring, so they're
not like a juggernaut offensively. I'll give you the defense
top ten, No real receivers to talk about really gonna
be okay. So you got Cook, Let's focus in on
(10:57):
him and Josh Allen make sure they don't run wild
and stop the passing game because there's nobody to really
have to defend on. So I think that's where him
having to be Superman makes it even tougher, uh when
you make those kind of super Bowl runs or try
to get there, because it is all about him. So
(11:18):
I think that's a I think that's a hard way
to win when it just has to be you and
you have to get uh to beat the Bengals, you
gotta you gotta rush for forty yards or forty yard
touchdown run and you gotta uh you know, uh get
four touchdowns in the game that to win like that,
Where where's the help? I just think when you make it,
(11:39):
when you when you make a run, when you make
a run, and and you got to win that many
games and you have to be the focal point to
all of them in order to win. You could do
that in basketball probably even the great basketball players have
a second guy. You know, Michael needed Scotty. You gotta
you gotta have somebody else. Kobe and Shad, you need
somebody else. And I don't know, is Cook it or not.
(12:04):
Top ten in defense helps, I'll give you that. Anytime
you have a chance to win teams that have top
ten defenses, we talk about Tom Brady all the time.
You can talk about all about Tom Brady, and he's
the go and all a go. Show me when he
didn't have a top five defense, when he won.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
A Super Bowl and break special teams.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
Okay, right, and a Hall of Fame kicker when Adam
Vannitey gets in. If Adam Venitry misses two of those kicks,
nobody's even talking about Tom Brady. I mean, that is
how important Adam Vniterry was to Tom Brady's legacy.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
No, no, you already know I completely agree with that.
But again, I've been saying that about Josh Allen. Well,
I've always talked about how there to Josh Allen reliant.
But the difference for me, now, he was good enough
and has been to get you where you need to be.
He just couldn't get past the Chiefs, right, that was
his achilles heels, that was his kryptonite, that was his thing,
(12:56):
the big Boogeyman. And it looks like that Boogeyman is gone,
and it looks like another boogeyman who could have a potential,
you know, be a block, roadblock in your way. In
Lamar Jackson. It looks like he's going potentially. We'll have
to see how it all falls out and shakes out.
But I'm just looking at it as when you get
up in there against some of these younger guys, if
you're playing a bow Knicks, they have a very good defense.
(13:18):
But bo Nicks, this will be a you know, he's
still a young guy, got to the postseason last year.
But you should have that experience. You should be the
best player in all of these games. You should be
able to get it done. And I'm not saying it's
full proof. I'm saying this is the pathway, like, this
is the opportunity to better than any other one. That
guy Patrick Hoome, that team. The Chiefs are out of
(13:38):
your way. You know, you might not even you may
not even have to play the Eagles like you would
have had to run into last year had you gotten
to the Super Bowl. So I'm not saying it's easy,
when I'm saying this has been your greatest path. You
have to take this opportunity, you know, by the horns,
and absolutely take full advantage of it, because again, it
may not open up. If Joe Burrow comes back healthy
(13:58):
and everything's going, If Patrick Holmes, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert Trevor,
Lawrence CJ. Shrout all these guys in your own conference,
bow knicks and so on and so forth, that thing
is loaded and the young guns are coming, the drake
Mays are coming. This is that opportunity, all right.
Speaker 4 (14:14):

got us the eye couple. We got our own page.
Y'all our own page. Shout out to everybody who is
locked in with us. All Right, I say, Josh Allen,
there's no greater any It seems to be heavy on
the quotation of it seems pretty It's not easy to
(16:41):
ever get to a super Bowl. But the easier pathway
that boogeyman, that squad that keeps meeting you is out.
Lamar might be out. Uh. You know, the Eagles don't
look great as far as who you might have to beat.
The Super Bowl. Who do you do you think it's
this is Josh Allen's time, best time to do so
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, all the pressure
in him to get it done.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
We got Jerome and Charleston. You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jerome.
Speaker 10 (17:06):
I'm not gonna think any lesson Josh Allen as an
athlete or as a competitor. If he doesn't want a
Super Bowl.
Speaker 11 (17:14):
If anyone that thinks that he needs a Super Bowl
of a super Bowl of outs at him.
Speaker 10 (17:18):
They don't know what the f they talk about is
about being a competitor.
Speaker 11 (17:23):
Okay, you don't always win super Bowls. Okay, all you
could do was go and compete and your best ability
and the best lot gooding up. They're not wrong with
the people that criticize you. The guys are legends. He's
like a white Jordan's man. Come on, Jordan looked like that.
He never won anything until all these other guys around
(17:43):
him started to play up to his level. Okay, John
Alli can only come for one person himself. All right,
that's all you can do. Gon do your bathroom, but
they get out time. You're got to live with that sometimes.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
Yes, Uh, that happening in Buffalo, right, I mean they
went the four straight Super Bowls, didn't win, and they
live with it, right, Jim Keller. But I'm just saying like, like,
that's not where John. Trust me, Josh Allen didn't want
any part of that.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
No, Josh, I hear what he's saying. At the end
of your life. You're but Josh Allen wants that Super
Bowl and most quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Yeah, but I just don't think. I think it's harder
to do by yourself.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
I just think when you have to do, when they're
so committed to so many things, I just think it's
really hard. You got to have football as so many guys.
It's not basketball. Two people is all you need in basketball, right.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
But we've seen we've seen some teams get there before
that on paper, if I'd have told you to be like,
oh really wow, I didn't see that coming. And he's
been there knocking on that door again. SAMs for the
Chiefs might have been there.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
Orlando N. L Passo, you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. Are we back on good terms, Orlando
or not? What's the deal?
Speaker 12 (18:55):
Hey, We're on great terms. Rob I'm always on great
terms with you, man.
Speaker 11 (18:58):
Okay, I just want to yeah, yeah, we're good, We're good.
Speaker 13 (19:02):
Okay, Listen.
Speaker 12 (19:02):
I just want to say about Josh Allen. Listen, He's
a Swiss Harvey knighte. He can do it all. I
understand that it is a team sport, but I'm very
concerned and for Lamar as well, ro because Lamar is
my guy. But I don't want to see these guys
end up like Dan Marino. Not to say that that's
the bad thing, but they would never win a Super Bowl.
Speaker 13 (19:21):
That'd be just devastating to me.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
For no, no, no, I agree, his talent is too big
for him not to. But it can like it can
happen because years go by and you can talk about
Tom Brady. Tom Brady went nine seasons without winning, like
you know what I mean, like they had they had
the team, they had the coach, they had the defense, right,
(19:43):
they went to a couple of Super Bowls and they
didn't win like it. Nine years can go like that,
Aaron Rodgers, they won in twenty ten and the next
thing you know, you look up, another ten years is
going by like that, Like it happens like that.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
That is a very part.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Yeah, no doubt, that's why take advantage. Rob No.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
I understand about taking advantage, but I don't think it's
as easy as just you know what I mean, Like
the easiest path is always the way. Because we talk
about Orlando when when the Packers won, they were the
sixth seed.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
When Eli won his they were sixth seed.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
It's not always Pittsburg did that once, right, Like you
got to go on the road to win Orlando.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
It's not always the easiest path that you win the Super.
Speaker 12 (20:22):
Bowl, right, but it helps win your nemesis AKA Chiefs
are having a very bad year. They're not gonna make it.
Thank God for that. When Chiefs Loues America wins.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
I say, all I want you Orlando, just say ABC, ABC,
anybody but Chiefs, and we're good, right, ABC.
Speaker 12 (20:42):
Anybody but Chiefs, ABC, anybody but Chiefs.
Speaker 11 (20:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Sounded like he was part of the Jackson sixth the
way he was a b C.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
He was about to put a little rhythm on that.
I appreciate the cause everybody, no doubt. George Rice on
the other side of Trinny right now, we got Chris
perfect us. See Chris, i'n get you said, what's up? Brother?
Speaker 2 (21:00):

where they drive. Ship Fast and free back by free
Road has the protection with convenient installation options like mobile
tire installation tire rack dot Com. The way tire buyings
should be before we get to George halftime or two
(21:35):
minutes left and then Monday night football game? What the heck? Rob,
me and you set up here all last season depending
on the subject. You know, we talked about Sa Kwan
and running it. What the heck happened to that portion
of the Eagles, like okay to passing, they are more
running team. We're gonna do this with it, like to
not have either or be that dominant. You get what
(21:56):
I'm saying, Like, well, they gave up on the run,
or they don't run a lot because they're they're out,
or uh, you know, they're not passing a lot because
Saquan is saquaning like he did last year. That's the
thing that's perplexing to me is that neither one of
those sides of the offensive game is really shining.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, I mean weird.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
I just think that there's no way that Saquon was
going to have the same season. So I don't think
that that was really the script, you know what I mean.
But offensively, they have weapons. They just have to figure
it out. And a part of it is a new
play caller as well. I think people act like there's
not an adjustment that it's you know what I mean.
(22:37):
If that's the case, then you wouldn't even need to
hire anybody if you just keep doing what you were doing,
you know. And so there are wrinkles there, changes that
are implicating you have to implement your own style, what
it is that you like to do and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
So it's kind of crazy. I think that's what it is.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Dude, that's weird. I'm looking at sa Kuan seven hundred
and forty yards you know before this game, I mean,
you know added that yet actually that's even actually that
I take that back, that is included seven hundred and
forty yards. I mean, he might not even get to
a thousand yards this season three point seven a carry.
When you look at what he was doing last year,
(23:14):
obviously just insane. He had two thousand and five yards,
averaging five at point eight almost sixteen thirteen touchdowns. He
only has four touchdowns right now. It's just remarkable, you know,
this season what has become for him. And like I said,
the offenses, Oh, it's not like also because Jalen Hurts
is cutting it into the rushing you know what I mean,
He's not even running at the rate he usually does.
(23:35):
So it's just it is just a strange year for them,
strange statistical offensive year for them as well. It's gonna
be interesting to see how they finished the season too,
you know, because we've talked Actually you just brought up
some of those teams that were lower seeds historically they
got on some good runs. The Eagles, I mean, the
(23:56):
Giants and the Steelers they got on some good runs.
So we'll talk about that a little bit later. Right now,
joining us is our man, George Reister, former NFL tight end,
host of The Unafraid Show. George reisterl X, George, what up? Bruh?
Speaker 13 (24:07):
What up, May what up?
Speaker 4 (24:09):
And remember we could call you wrongster if you get
wrong answers down here tonight, Okay.
Speaker 11 (24:14):
George, always riister, never wrong.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Man.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
All right, So let's just go uh and talk about
the whole Notre Dame and Miami and just what do
you make of how can they be ranked ahead of
Miami the entire year and then.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
When it comes down to it, they get the okie
dokee at the end.
Speaker 13 (24:35):
Okay? So so you know, in life, people will will
tell you it's not what you say is how you
say it a lot of times, and the committee said
it the wrong way. There was nothing. The reason why
people are so upset about Notre Dame is because there
was nothing that happened this weekend that led to them
(24:56):
needing to be switched. However, hey to the right decision
because they have a head to head, and people have
wondered all year, oh.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
How did they if they had ahead to head? They
didn't have a head to head this past weekend. They
had had to head all year, so that's they should have.
They should have been ahead of them all year, George,
if they had, if they had to head to head, why.
Speaker 13 (25:19):
Not rob Because at a certain point in time, Notre
Dame was still in the teams they were, they were
creeping up the rankings and noted and then Miami lost
two out of three. So Miami was trending in the
wrong direction. So so that's how they got so far
(25:42):
apart to begin with, you can't just I mean, if
you're gonna keep a head to head logic, Florida should
be in front of Texas.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
No no, no, no, no, no, I'm talking about in
this case, then it should have been.
Speaker 14 (25:56):
The final the final ranking before they made the decision. Correct,
That's what I'm talking about, because at that point, there
was nothing that was going to change, right So until.
Speaker 13 (26:07):
That's what I'm figuring out I'm agreeing with you is
that That's why I said, It's not what you say,
it's how you say it. It's where they presented it
if you were going to switch.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
So so when.
Speaker 13 (26:19):
They flipped Miami Notre Dame in Alabama last week, I
was like, Oh, the committee is boxing is boxing Alabama
in because what they wanted to happen was they wanted
BYU to beat Texas Tech and then BYU could get
into the College Football playoffs and then it would have
(26:40):
bumped Notre Dame in Miami out, they couldn't have got in,
and then you would have and then that would have
solved all of their problems because it wouldn't have mattered
whether Miami was in front of Notre Dame, Notre Dame
was in front of my Miami, if they were both
out of the college football playoffs. But when BYU didn't
didn't win, then now, when there are no more games
(27:01):
that you're switching them, that that feels fraudulent compared to
if you had done it last Tuesday for the.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Tuesday right right, That's why people have issues because there
was no game to make that switch or change it
as far as those two teams are concerned.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
So that that's ye.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Hey, George Reis to our guest, let me go here.
You just mentioned by you said they lose of course
to Texas, sess they get smacked up thirty four to seven.
But so the question is why did that loss for
them hurt them? But then you got Alabama's SEC Title
game lost did and a lot of people say, hey,
a three team lost Alabama, what the heck they doing
up in here? Make that make sense for a lot
of people?
Speaker 13 (27:40):
Okay, so I the way Alabama lost there, there should
have been some penalty, even the at least dropping on
one spot two, number two, number ten. But the what
the issue is is that, man, they had already beaten Georgia,
and they beat Georgia at home. So now with the
(28:03):
loss in the SEC Championship, you're saying, all right, hold on,
hold on, they've already beat this team, compared to BYU,
who lost to Texas Tech twice. Now, now, now we
can make an argument whether BYU should have been ranked
higher initially. But the what the difference between those two
(28:23):
games is is that those teams, two teams had already
that Alabama and Georgia had split games compared to Georgia
compared to b YU and Texas Tech. Where where where
Texas Tech just beat up b YU two times in
a row, thirty four to seven and twenty nine to seven.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Well, I hear you, And this is where it gets complicated.
This is where folks are gonna have issue, and this
is where we're gonna be sitting here having the same
conversation again at some point about Rob We're gonna be
time should we go to sixteen games?
Speaker 10 (28:56):
All right?
Speaker 13 (28:57):
No, got anclusion? Okay, they have solutions to this. First
of all, is that we need there needs to be
scheduling uniformity because you can't have one team for one
conference plan eight conference games, one playing nine, and the
conferences are so big that sometimes you win the scheduling roulette.
(29:20):
Like Texas A and M this year only played one
team that was ranked in the top eight of the
SEC at the final ranking, only one, and they lost
to them in Texas. But they're eleven and one, so
their conference schedule looks nothing like Alabama's or even Georgia's
this season, and there's some disparity there. So what you
(29:43):
do is is you have the automatic qualifiers from so
so you have three from the Once you go to
sixteen teams, you have three from the SEC, three from
the Big Ten, two from the Big twelve, two from
the AC seed, and one group of five, and then
that leaves you five spots left. And now you're gonna
(30:05):
have the conference championship games and then you're gonna have
play in games three versus six and four versus five.
So now you earn your way into the conference into
the playoffs, and it doesn't matter whether you run. You
won the scheduling through that or not, you still got
to get in there on your own merit.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
All right, last thing, did Indiana expose anything in Ohio
State in that Big Ten title game?
Speaker 13 (30:35):
I actually think that that's funny that the narrative is
did Indiana expose Ohio State instead of saying, oh Indiana
is for real? That that Indiana made a statement that
maybe it's not anything about Ohio State, and it's a
statement about how good Indiana is because this team, granted
(30:58):
they don't have as many five stars and four stars
as Ohio State or Oregon who they beat in and
you team, but there is something about having an irrational
belief combined with NFL players and good scheme that you
can beat. Because in Indiana beliefs in their heart that
(31:19):
they cannot be beat.
Speaker 11 (31:21):
And then when you add that with their they.
Speaker 13 (31:23):
Got two NFL wide receivers, they have a bona fide
NFL quarterback, they got at least one NFL running running back,
and the defense is spectacular and they're actually built upon
the defensive platform and not even on the offense. Is
their offensive based upon efficiency where they're where their defense
(31:43):
is just smothering.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Yeah, well, listen, this is where all the controversy comes.
Maybe if you're the NCAA or some of these teams,
you love it because everybody's still talking about it. We'll
see how it all plays out. And George appreciate you
as always, brother, Thank you George.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
And you know what you were right tonight, my man.

of games on a Monday night with football. Normally, I
don't think about it, and then I start to look
at it. I was like the Pelicans. I'm supposed to
be playing the Spurs tonight because I picked the Pelics,
the Spurs over somebody else against the Lakers, you know,
when they played them Wednesday, and I took that as tonight.

Speaker 11 (36:14):
I'm still bummed out about Notre Dame. Okay, I what
I'm more upset about is not Miami jumping Notre Dame.
Speaker 10 (36:23):
I know they went probably by the head the head
things eventually, but they should have done it sooner.
Speaker 11 (36:29):
Yes, Alice, people have a hard time with not wait
until the last week like that, and then they jumped
Alabama ahead.
Speaker 10 (36:36):
Of Notre Dame. They did that intentionally, just to get
them in and get Notre Dame out.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
No, I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (36:41):
I don't like that, Like it didn't come off of
a game or something where you could say, Okay, yeah,
we're gonna switch the order, and they should have did
it the week before right or before that, so that
everybody knew that we're going off of the head to
head and Miami was ahead of them, right, and that's it.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
And then and then there's no ligum.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
It's it's weird to absolutely wait till the last second
when nothing changed.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Nothing nothing changed, Alice, how cold is it in Pittsburgh?
Speaker 3 (37:09):
I was just oh shit, hung up?
