But when it comes to soccer, we got you front
and center and we're gonna give you a World Cup.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Update right now.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
Soccer fans unite, it's time for an exclusive Odd Couple
presents the FIFA two twenty six World Buff Dates. Robin Kelvin,
I'm here to report the game has started.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
It's mil, mil, thank.

Speaker 6 (02:06):
You appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
What will we do without Alex? Why what will we do?

Speaker 6 (02:12):
I don't know, Neil, Neil, excuse me.

Speaker 7 (02:18):
And it's the thing about the beautiful game, rob where
you gotta appreciate it because at the end of the match,
even when they go to extra minutes, I still be
extra time. It still might be Neil Neil, So just
enjoy the beauty of it because you never really know.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Monty where she's there, she's here. I am his al right, Monty,
it's extra time.

Speaker 8 (02:44):
It is extra time to no extra time.

Speaker 9 (02:49):
Though in this group play the extra time everything will
end in a draw unless we get when we get
to the knockout rounds, then it will go into extra time.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Now, so we.

Speaker 7 (03:00):
Expected to beat pedg uh Pedigua, and the expectation is
for us to do what we've done the last two
We get to the quarterfinals, but not much more at that.

Speaker 8 (03:13):
I don't know if that's the expectation.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
That's a high expectation, that's what I think.

Speaker 8 (03:18):
Yeah, I think that's a little bit high.

Speaker 9 (03:22):
I said to Alex, Yes, like round to sixteen, round
of sixteen for me is a feasible expectation.

Speaker 8 (03:28):
But you said maybe even further though.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Why I say higher?

Speaker 5 (03:31):
This might be the first time that we actually in
the US history make it out of the top eight.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Wow, there's a simple factor.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Well yeah, because it's it's just like if you use
a simple thing of going through like European heat waves
and here it is extremely hotter here than it is
in Europe, So it's supposed to play like a big
benefit of why they added now these like stoppage water time.
But I'm telling you, like, this team is so good,
it's probably the best we've seen on a national level.
The only thing stopping them is themselves. Because US players
get very pompous. They get very in their fields, and

(03:58):
if we come out early in take the lead, the
game is ours. But if they get scored on us
early like they did against Germany, that's the issue. So
I think personally they will make it out of the
top eight this year. It'll be the highest they've ever done.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
We got you on the record, we're going to play
this back. I would love it.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
I'm with Alex. Why not, That's.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
What I'm saying, doing well because I haven't thought that right?
Why not? Because they happen.

Speaker 8 (04:23):
They haven't told me that they would.

Speaker 7 (04:28):
Mazi, don't maybe start preaching history would have told you
you wouldn't come back for twenty nine down No.

Speaker 8 (04:35):
No, no, the Knicks only do that.

Speaker 9 (04:38):
They did that last year multiple times, but it was
down twenty a few times.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
Like I'm not surprised about the Knicks.

Speaker 9 (04:45):
But I'm just saying, like the history of US men's soccer,
it has not, it has not been good.

Speaker 8 (04:49):
They have not.

Speaker 9 (04:51):
Alex and I had this conversation a few days ago.
The US Men's Soccer for a really long time was
picking players base based on athleticism. They were picking soccer players.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
I agree with that.

Speaker 9 (05:02):
So, like this this starts when they're kids who they're
looking at. So if this started changing maybe five six
years ago, I want to say there is a chance
that they do something, but you have to show it,
like there's no.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Reason for early years with this. It's been eight years
with this team.

Speaker 7 (05:16):
They've kind of put it and once you know, they
knew that we'll be here at the Olympics here, so
you know, but some at some point it has to
be done right at some point.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
So all right, we're gonna shift into some basketball and uh, Kelvin, Uh,
there's news about Lebron and the San Francisco or whatever
you want to call them, Golden State Warriors.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
I mean, more enthusiasm in your voice, Rob, Aren't you
not enthusiastic?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I told you I'm not gonna be enthusiastic about this.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
I'm gonna give you high energy on this for the
final hour before my first vacation in three years.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
But I'm going to do it. Okayhead, what the rovers
are right now?

Speaker 7 (05:56):
We can see a Steph and Lebron union and there's
around and some anonymous source told NBC Sports Monte Poole
that both sides are very intrigued with the idea teaming up,
and he said, quote, I know it seems crazy, but
there's at least curiosity on both sides. This wouldn't even
be a conversation five or six years ago, and it
might not happen now, but there's enough there that we

(06:16):
shouldn't ignore the possibility. It's mostly up to Lebron. So
he didn't say anything, Parker, what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Yeah, he didn't give you anything. He didn't.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
He didn't say it's gonna happen. He just said, like
not to ignore it or whatever. It's like covering yourself.
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 7 (06:33):
If you go right, it might happen, but it won't.
I'm but it don't, do you know what? A little
more context go ahead. I was just gonna say. Ramona
Shelburn reported, of course the Espian and Adrian Rosanowski back
when he was there, that in twenty twenty four, the
Warriors made a really big push to try to get
Lebron before the deadline, and Lebron at that time, either

(06:55):
Lakers or James was willing to explore a potential trade there.
So point being that there is there's some history of
the Warriors trying you know, did a little context there.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Too, late dollars short, I'm not buying it. And let
me tell you something. This would be a bad look
for Lebron. It really would. Here's one of your contemporaries,
one of your peers, right, the guy who has beaten
you three times.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
You're teaming up with him at the end.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Does that? Does that make any sense? Because if you
did win, guess what, Steph would still have a leg
up on you in a Lebron era. Like it doesn't
make it looks bad like you're chasing, like you know
what I mean, and you need to go join somebody
in order to win.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
That would be your legacy. That's all you've done.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
And the one time you didn't chase, he came to
LA and you won, you know, in the bubble, and
that's good and fine and whatever. But my point is
I just would stay away from Steph and that whole thing.
They haven't made the playoffs, right, what is it three
years they've been in the play in game, but they
have made the playoffs in like three years. You're going

(08:12):
to an old team, You're going to Draymond and you
know Steph, and I just I don't get it.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
I really don't.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
I If I'm Lebron James, that is not how I
want to end my career. And God forbid it go
south that you wound up going you know what I mean? Uh,
to the Warriors and not making the playoffs or making
the play in or whatever it is, and you're get
knocked out in the first round.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
To me, it just sounds like it's desperation. If I'm
Lebron's that's not right.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
It's time for an exclusive odd Couple presents the FIFA
two twenty six World Cup updates.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Ladies are John us one.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
I'm watching it live too. That was nice. There you go,
that was nice. There we go. We're on our way, Alex,
I'm with you, baby.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
I've already said it off air. It's gonna be for
one mark my words. USA is here to play.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
Yeah. I love what I'm seeing.

Speaker 7 (09:27):
I'm seeing some uh some camaraderie and and who is
that with that great move across.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
The politics literally are super la.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
Yeah that was policy. I couldn't see them. I got
it on my little computer here.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
See.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
I wanted to tell you earlier, like the reason why
US soccer hasn't done better is because of this. We
don't have superstar talent that's on an international level. This
one Kittalona is our messy. That's why we needed this series.

Speaker 7 (09:49):
I I was informed series, I well said, Now, can
I be honest, I hate these jerseys, but whatever, get
the job done.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Uh give me a Lebron take. Can you go?

Speaker 7 (10:00):
Here's my take? Rock, here's my take. Daggett, go ahead,
make the expendables twenty six. Bring on the old heads
together like they doing expendables. Some Dolph Lunder and s
Vester Stallone, Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Wesley Snipes, dagit?

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Why not? Because you know what, who'd you pick the
pick win the NBA Finals?

Speaker 7 (10:20):
The Spurs? Who I picked the thunder originally. And the
point is these young teams are about to have it
on lot and the Knicks might win it now, and
then you got maybe another team in the East of
Celtics might regroup get it right. My point is INSI
rat for the Lakers, Insur rat for the Warriors, So
you might as well put the expendables back together and
have some fun. And I tell you what, Rob g

(10:41):
I normally make fun of him for lacking old people stuff.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
He's always about the.

Speaker 7 (10:46):
Old people, you know, the movies, grumpy old man, grumpy
old man, all that good stuff.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
Daggett put this in there, and I'm with it. Now.
This ain't gonna be critically acclaimed. It's not winning an oscar.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
But it might win four hundred make four hundred million
dollars at the box office.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
It'll be fun, it'll draw ratings.

Speaker 7 (11:02):
Everyone be all in, and it would be just an
exciting way to say, all right, Lebron you up out
of here, and Steph you maybe a couple of years
behind them, because they ain't winning nothing in and Upstate
and Golden State, and they ain't winning them with the Lakers.
That's comprised because it looks like it's gonna be these
young bucks for the next handful of years. Rob, So
go play. Put the expendables back together. See if they
can do something, win something, make it fun. It'll be

(11:24):
entertaining either way.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
I'm win it.

Speaker 7 (11:26):
Why not, Rob, Because it's the Spur. You see what
the Spurs are doing. You see what the thunder thunders
should have won it if j Dup ain't hurt.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
So this is where we are bought that I.

Speaker 7 (11:35):
Mean, that's that's how I feel if he played more
than fifty three minutes a whole seven game series, I
think they're right back in the finals, given the next
a run for their money.

Speaker 6 (11:43):
So why not have a little fun?

Speaker 7 (11:45):
Man see if the old heads can have some fun,
do something, put a last ditch effort and go out
like some expendables forty eight whatever number they are.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Yeah, I'm just I think this is Lebron's history. I
told you before when they erect that statue in Cleveland,
one hand and a basketball and then the other hand
a suitcase, and this will just be so fitting that
he's going to yet another place. You know he's not
going there to play out the string, right. I thought
the idea is trying to win one more, try to

(12:14):
convince people of doing something special, because all I heard
when Luca came here was.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
What if Lebron and Luca? Do you know who?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Nobody want to see Lebron and Luca. Do you remember
all that kelvin two years ago?

Speaker 7 (12:26):
I mean, I think I think that still existed this year.
If they do, they went nineteen was it nineteen and two?
I believe it was in March best when.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
They weren't being any of these guys I'm telling these
young guys with.

Speaker 7 (12:37):
The idea of seeing a healthy ares healthy Luca and
a healthy Lebron was intriguing, Uh for sure. But the
Spur look at the Spurs, Okay, they look ridiculous. Look
at the Thunder, especially if they get you know, Jadubb's healthy.
Not let alone they do something crazy like, uh, you know,
train and get Gianni's for Cheddar some some first round
picks with dude. They got two first round picks this year.

(12:58):
The Thunder, like Howards, is this man the rich getting richer?
So go team up. Let's see how many assists Lebron
can get throwing past the steph for three, I've Lebron
get I mean Draymond getting to play with his best friend,
his mentor, is his.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
His buddy and Lebron.

Speaker 7 (13:16):
It would be It would be very entertaining, right, I mean, ultimately,
I don't think that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (13:20):
I think he stays with the Lakers.

Speaker 7 (13:21):
If you're making me put a wager on it, he
stays with the Lakers, But I'd have fun with it.

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Screw it? Why not put the expense.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox? Would it be
a weak move?

Speaker 3 (13:32):
For Lebron to join forces with Steph and the Warriors.
I think it would. Kelvin, of course, is all in.
He's kombay me, but all that kind of it won't
be fun if those guys. I don't even know if
there's enough room on the court with all those wheelchairs
going on there. We'll continue that conversation on twenty yours

They got better. They got better, They got better.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
They don't have chlorine in the water. Rob.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
If you judged my teeth off of which way I'm looking,
you'd go in cycles.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
What is it floride?

Speaker 6 (16:37):
They don't horride now?

Speaker 10 (17:38):

Speaker 6 (17:39):
What's up?

Speaker 10 (17:39):
Uncle Kel?

Speaker 6 (17:40):
Yo?

Speaker 10 (17:41):
Yo you I'm good, I'm good.

Speaker 11 (17:45):
You know I don't really have a dog in this
fight in the finals, but you know, being a fun
Mexican here on the West Coast and being named anton
I gotta go with San Antonio.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
I guess, oh god, that makes sense racist.

Speaker 10 (18:03):
But if the Knicks went it, good for them.

Speaker 11 (18:05):
But you know, it's pretty much all but over. I'm
sure we're all assuming.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
No I really no, no, no, no, no, it ain't over
till the fat ladies sayings, We're not doing that.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Listen, Antwine.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
I do want to ask you, do you want Lebron
to go to Golden State and play with Steph?

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Or no?

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Where are you?

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (18:21):
You know what?

Speaker 10 (18:22):
I'm not a Laker fan, but I can really care less.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
So man, I really.

Speaker 6 (18:28):
I really don't care.

Speaker 12 (18:29):
I guess you know what, go to Golden State.

Speaker 11 (18:30):
Why not just make the story a little more interesting?

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I guess alright, Antoine, we appreciate you. Thanks for calling
on man, thank you.

Speaker 7 (18:37):
Yeah, you know, I picked the next but I still hey, hey, hey,
it ain't just a it ain't just a foregun conclusion. Now,
this first team is, Man, these young boys, I'll tell
you they are difficult.

Speaker 6 (18:48):
They are Mike, I know the Knicks. I'll be like,
ain't they supposed to be easy to young? My gosh?

Speaker 3 (18:53):
And you know the story, you know the story that
we really haven't talked about.

Speaker 6 (18:56):
What's that?

Speaker 3 (18:58):
I think we did mention it. But Josh Hart was
let off the hook because when he missed that dunk.
Do you know where he would have been had that
been the missing the missing the dunk?

Speaker 7 (19:07):
And they look that game blocking out Stefan cast free
throws that put him up one. Yeah, you know, let
me add to that. You know what remind me of
it's the opposite because they.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
Won the game.

Speaker 7 (19:18):
George Hill has been let off the hook because of
j R. Smith not putting George Hill missed that free throw.
You make the free throw, you're up one with what
you know, ten seconds left or whatever it was, and
you go off and you win, and you never know
what happens after that. But him missing the free throw,
he got off the hook because j R. Smith did
the blunder, didn't go up and ran out the clock.
So he Yeah, it happens in sports, and Josh Hard

(19:40):
was definitely let off the hook, no doubt on that one.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
All right, Chili Chim in Atlanta. You're on the yond
couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 10 (19:48):
Yo yo yo.

Speaker 7 (19:50):
Ho.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
You what up?

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Bro?

Speaker 10 (19:52):
I'm good man, Rob. I didn't kids where you going
off the vacation where you're going, and I didn't hear it.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
So I'm doing a little baseball tour. Got a couple
of weddings to go.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Oh two, A couple of my mentees are getting married
and Memphis and Baltimore, doing a little Cincinnati Reds game
and doing a Chicago Cubs game.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
That's my vacation this year.

Speaker 10 (20:10):
Okay, So you know they're your mentees with sports, not marriage, right.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
I hope what's that?

Speaker 10 (20:17):
I hope that you you know you're there your mentees
on sports, not married.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, not on marriage.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Hey Chili.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
All I tell them is, don't do what I did,
and you'll be married for a long time.

Speaker 10 (20:29):
Okay, good advice, great advice, I think Lebron. I'm kind
of I actually want to see it happen for two reasons.
For one, I love to even see them compete. Maybe
when the NBA Cup, you know, get expectations up, just
for the fizzle to you know, for it all to

(20:49):
fall apart, and then too, it'll give me another piece
of ammunition against the cult members of the Lebron cult
to say, you know, this is another reason why he
can never talk Jordan. They chased teams, you know, people
came to him. He didn't have to chase anybody. And
you know, again Lebron, and why would he get the

(21:09):
same flag that Durant got for going and doing it?
But Lebron gets off the hook. I guess because he
wanted more and something, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
But well, why did he.

Speaker 6 (21:17):
Get off the hook? That's all people say about him
in Miami.

Speaker 10 (21:21):
Well, no, because of the Minion. The millions of Lebron
still say, you know, they look at it. It's being
different and the media didn't come down on Lebron as much.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
I you know, that's the reason why people hate him
because of the decision.

Speaker 10 (21:34):
You know that what again, people like had common geners
like me and Rob, but the cult members, you know,
they can't see straight. So it would just be another
nail in the conference for me to give to them,
to say, this is why this guy is not to go.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
You know, I hear you, Chili, there you go. I'm
with you. You know, I think it's a bad move on
his part if he does it.

Speaker 7 (21:56):
If the fifteen year old who we thought everybody put
that pressure ends up in the one A, one B
or the second best ever, that's still the win.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
H Brandon in Riverside. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, b How are you?

Speaker 12 (22:10):
I'm good, guys, I'm good man.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
How y'all doing good?

Speaker 6 (22:14):
Are we're just watching watching a little?

Speaker 4 (22:16):
Are you working or you you off? What you got?

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (22:20):
Now, I'm working right now.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I'm working right now.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Look at that. Yeah, but.

Speaker 12 (22:25):
You know what, at this point, who I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 10 (22:30):
The city of Los Angeles don't.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Care if he goes.

Speaker 12 (22:33):
They probably want him to go. I think this is
just one of those many anything that Lebron's just trying
to put out there, having people to put out there
because he wants to stay in l A.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
But they.

Speaker 7 (22:47):
They won't.

Speaker 12 (22:48):
You know, He's just trying to make it seem like
that everybody.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
Wants them, right Well, I do think the Lakers want them.
I just think they want the right they will be.

Speaker 12 (22:57):
I think because what because what, dude, do the Warriors
have that the Lakers really need right now? They don't
have anybody that they truly want over there to match
up with Luca ar So they just it's just one
of lebron themes, many his minions or Rick rich Fall
putting out there to make the Lakers feel like, oh
maybe we might need to keep on because the night

(23:19):
chaufey b.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
We gotta interrupt you because Alex soccer fans unite.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
It's time for an exclusive A.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
Couple the FIFA two twenty six World Cup updates.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Rock Puka kelvin Washington. I can't handled the score?

Speaker 6 (23:38):
Which done it?

Speaker 5 (23:39):
Agall Bloop Swift done it again. It's too mel Usa
goals Pellican.

Speaker 8 (23:44):
From the post.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
It comes off the top pitch and the score back
to you got Alex. I'm not gonna lie. You're killing that, bro.
You are killing that. Like, make sure you tape off
this saving you need to use this for something out
of killing it.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
To Alex, he's right to eat you like to eat
lamb for dinner. I mean, I'm just like, everything that
you got going is just I don't know. I can't
tell you from the United States.

Speaker 5 (24:11):
I'm sorry, Rob, I've miscalculated your approach there, could you
say it again?

Speaker 6 (24:16):
Fish and chips, Rob, Fish and chips, Fish and chips?

Speaker 5 (24:19):
Right, Oh my god, hold on, hold on real quick.
They took the goal away due to the camera replay.
They called it not fair and it was off sides.
I believe it is still one zerah do why?

Speaker 3 (24:29):
I can't handle this so Alex were supposed to play
that rewind thing.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
But I will.

Speaker 6 (24:40):
Now pay.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
There you go, Yes, Bloaks, I have terrible news.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
I've just received word from the on nine side referees
that it is not a girl. We will not be
cherishing and relishing and fish and chips at the pub tonight.
We will be borrowing in our sorrows. It's still one zero.
Back to you, one nil.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Manzi got more details, right, yeah, Manzi?

Speaker 6 (25:04):
What you got for US.

Speaker 9 (25:06):
Yeah, guys, they just called off sides on that goal.
So unfortunately, USA up one nil on Badaguay.

Speaker 8 (25:14):
They're in the thirtieth minute of this match.

Speaker 9 (25:16):
Now, I know that goal was a own goal by Bataguay,
but in reality, Polisic and McKinney deserve a lot more
credit for that first goal from the US. Earlier today,
out of Group B, Canada and Bosnia hurts Nagavina hurts
a Gavina ended in a one to one drop. The

Speaker 8 (25:51):
What just happened? It looks like this.

Speaker 6 (25:53):
Was not called offside.

Speaker 9 (25:54):
USA up on Padaguay two nil in the thirty first
minute of this match that comes out of Group D.

Speaker 8 (26:02):
Alex was right on the money.

Speaker 9 (26:03):
They came out and it's gonna be look at Alex,
already to nil, way to go USA against pot Why
all right, Alex.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
You might be right, you said for Neil. You might
be right, I'm telling you date, but I'm telling you
this team is insane. It's gonna be for one. The
only reason I say that when they get a little
too chippy and eager, they'll leave something open.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
And their defense is not the best.

Speaker 8 (26:27):
So but we'll see, we'll see. Was it was it not?

Speaker 9 (26:31):
It wasn't Bulligan Belligan might be he.

Speaker 6 (26:36):
Got his goal.

Speaker 8 (26:36):
He got to go back.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Okay, all right, the Bellgan man. Oh that's the Mulligan man.
Make it to a vacation, Rob, thirty more minutes, Rob, Okay,
all right, I'll be quiet, Rob.

Speaker 8 (26:50):
Caution.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (26:51):
In baseball, guys, let's check in.

Speaker 9 (26:53):
Jacob Mazerowski has been on a tear for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Speaker 8 (26:57):
I just want to make sure he's still in.

Speaker 9 (26:59):
He's still in the He's pitched eight innings, he has
fourteen strikeouts, and the Brewers are shutting off the Phillies
six to zero. Bottom of the eighth inning, yard On
Alvarez with two home runs in the first inning. The
second one was a grand slam, bringing his total to
twenty four, which which ties Call Schwarber for the most
so far in Major League Baseball. Astros lead the Royals
nine to five after three innings. Cardinals are on top

(27:19):
of the Twins three to one. Top of the fourth. There,
White Sox are pulling away from the Dodgers. They were down.
Not anymore. It's eight to two, bottom of the sixth inning.
About to start. In Chicago, Yankees have scored, but the
Blue Jays are still up. In Toronto seven to five,
bottom of the sixth inning, the Mets and the Braves
were tied. Not anymore. New York is on top six two.
Bottom of the third. Diamondbacks and the Reds are tied
at two. Top of the seventh. Red Sox pulled away

(27:41):
from the Rangers. They're seven. They're up seven to one,
top of the eighth inning. Oriolesley the Padre seven to three.
Top of the eighth There, and the Mariners are shutting
out the Nationals five zero, bottom of the second inning.
About to start. The Marlins already defeated the Pirates eight three.
Miami has won six in a row. And when it
comes to the NBA game far Game four, because we're

(28:01):
gonna have Game five. Game four was one of the
most watched games since nineteen ninety eight. It averaged twenty
point nine million viewers, and no, Lebron should not go
to the Warriors, guys, because then Steph Curry can say, so,
I helped KD get a ring, and I help you
get a ring.

Speaker 8 (28:18):
Okay, Lebron can't go to the Warriors.

Speaker 6 (28:20):
Back to the ring.

Speaker 9 (28:22):
If they get a ring, it's gonna be Steph Curry
helped Lebron.

Speaker 8 (28:27):
N he went and joined Steph Curry though, and.

Speaker 6 (28:32):
He wouldn't have won the finals with either one of them,
Katie or Lebron.

Speaker 9 (28:35):
But but what I'm saying he went and joined that team,
that is Steph Curry's play. Like if they were to
reunite on a separate team, like you know, let's just
say they both end up on the Knicks.

Speaker 8 (28:46):
I'm just throwing the next out there.

Speaker 9 (28:47):
Because they're a popular team, then I think I would
look at it differently. But if he joins the Warriors,
that's Steph's team, like Steph, you get you know what
I mean?

Speaker 4 (28:55):
That's all.

Speaker 8 (28:55):
That's the only reason.

Speaker 7 (28:56):
Yeah, I think I think it'll be depending on Like,
if you're pro Lebron, you'll say, so what he was
the finals MVP and he led him, you know what
I mean? If you're anti Lebron, you will say, see
he he had to go join like you could use
the argument either way, because that's part of the argument
against Steph Curry and Rob and I agree with that
is KD was the best player on that team period,
So you can't just say.

Speaker 6 (29:17):
Like he went over there and he had to do it.

Speaker 7 (29:19):
Yeah, they recruited him and KD won both of those
MVPs and he was the best bag.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
They begged k D to come there. They begged him.

Speaker 7 (29:28):
So it's all however you want to you know what
I mean, you wanted the narrative, you want sure? All right,
by the way, Monci, Yes, all right, Rob, get ready
for forty days. Let me screaming that at you.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
That's why my vacation is is coming up very quickly.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
All right, thank you, Monty, appreciate it.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
As always, it is the odd couple here on a
fucky flashback Friday. We've had a bunch of going on
as well. But I want to get to this story here, Rob.
It's an interesting one. So you have a doctor, a
surgeon to be more specific. He is the Dodgers and
also the Rams physician Neil at Trash. If I said

(30:09):
that correctly, and he had to explain that he referred
UFC star Conda McGregor back in twenty twenty one to
a steroids specialist. And the whole point is Connor McGregor
had a big time injury, broke his leg. He sent
him there to get some work done and say hey,
here's a specialist. And he said that he went to
the specialist. He followed all the rules, but he did prescribe.

(30:29):
It's go to the specialists to prescribe him steroids, and
of course then you have MLB.

Speaker 6 (30:34):
They jumped in and.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
Said we want to have a conversation with you because
you're a doctor for the Dodgers, you're a doctor for
the Rams. He said, quote, I've spoken with MLB and
I'm very comfortable with the process that the league and
I will complete to assure that the public that I
have followed every rule and regulation and medical treatment of
athletes without exception.

Speaker 6 (30:52):
My record is completely clean, including in this case.

Speaker 7 (30:54):
I believe it to MLB officials to provide any further
comment as they see fit. So this makes it interesting
because he did precride McGregor to go to this particular person,
the specialist who would prescribe him steroids to get him healthy.

Speaker 6 (31:08):
Once he was healthy, said.

Speaker 7 (31:09):
He went back on the regiment, the normal regiment without those,
but for recovery, he did recommend the steroids.

Speaker 6 (31:16):
What are you making this?

Speaker 3 (31:18):
I think it's a bad look for the MLB and
the NFL that a doctor who you know is a
doctor for two teams where that is frowned upon. It's
against the rules, you know what I mean? The idea
that you're sending an athlete and telling them to go,

(31:39):
you know, to do juice to get yourself back together.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
It's a slippery slope. I don't think that he should
have been the referral.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
I think he should have said, let another doctor refer you.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Do you know what I mean? Like, like, I can't.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
It's a conflict of interest because it does look funny.
Go ahead, No, it just looks funny because is who
else is he sending them?

Speaker 4 (32:01):
Like?

Speaker 6 (32:02):
Well?

Speaker 7 (32:02):
And that's what So what makes it interesting is I
can't speak yet on the specificity of like who he
was sitting, but we know other folks that he's performed
surgeries on. So you got show hey, Clayton, Tony Gonsland,
Walkie Buehler, if you go to the RAMS side. You
got Cooper Cup cam Akers, He's done some other player,
other athletes, prominent ones. You got the late great Kobe Bryant,

(32:23):
He's had Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow. So he's
like a list of you know athletes, you know, performing
sports surgeons.

Speaker 6 (32:34):
In the States. So it's one of those. This is
he's the guy. And I think what makes it interesting is.

Speaker 7 (32:44):
I think you had I live in a world where
I don't accuse athletes of doing things, but nothing would
shock me, you get what I mean? Where like it
just I know these guys are trying to perform at
their absolute best.

Speaker 6 (32:57):
Does it have to be the ones that are on
the rules?

Speaker 7 (33:01):
No, but I think you know, athletes find the next
great thing before it becomes a rule, you get what
I mean. So if there's some cream that is not
technically on the list, I'm not shocked if an athlete
is using that cream. If they if they believe it's
going to give them the performing performance they need, the
rehabbing they need, you know, the call.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
But if this was no big deal, they wouldn't want
to speak to them, do you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Like, Like, seriously, I'm.

Speaker 7 (33:29):
Not a big deal. No, No, I'm just saying. What I'm
saying is it wouldn't shock me. I'm at the place
of my life.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
No, I got you.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Yeah, But I'm just saying from his standpoint, the idea
that he thought he could do that and it would
be no pushback or ramifications.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
Do you know what I'm saying? Like I get it,
Like like, hey, I can't.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
I can't refer you to a guy who does issue
steroids or juice.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
I can't refer you to that person. I'll send you
to another doctor. Do you get me to another doctor?
He can send you there. I worked for Major League
Baseball in the NFL. I just I'm shocked that he
thought that that would be no big deal.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (34:11):
No, I do. And so it's interesting. You have a
UFC fighter, Anthony Smith. He said on a podcast Believe
You Me pod he said back in November. He said
that the reason McGregor pulled out of that fight back
then was the USC drug testing. Pool was obvious that
this is his what he believes, he said, There's only
one reason you would do that. He's looking Jack, as
you look in Jacks blank, you keep seeing videos and

(34:33):
inflexing in front of mirrors and screaming, and he's huge
and he's healed really fast, like really fast. So also
on a podcast host, you know, Joe Rogan that McGregor's
impressive physique and the USDA testing loopholes, So.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
Maybe he knew the sport rob the doctor.

Speaker 7 (34:50):
Maybe said, y'all testing and as sophisticated as MLB NFL,
because none of the folks that he's you know, worked
on have ever failed any tests in either sport.

Speaker 6 (35:01):
So maybe he said, look, I know the game, I
see a loophole.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
You guys have you know, some some some different types
of things in the MLB and the NFL, n L
p A and p A s so you can go
do this as long as you get off it by
a certain amount of time. So maybe he did that
specifically for con mc record in a specific sport, as
opposed to MLB and A in the NFL, where they're
much more highly scrutinized and much more watch you know

(35:27):
people are watching with Hawkeyes.

Speaker 6 (35:29):
That would be my guess.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
Yeah, it's it's a it's a slippery slope, and I think, uh,
the other sports have a right to check in on
it because uh, it just it just it just doesn't
feel right. Who is the guy for the Patriots who
got I always want to get him mixed up?

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Was it Wes Welk or the other guy or uh no.

Speaker 13 (35:51):
The other slot receiver? And then uh, Julian Edelman? I
think it was Edel Edelman? Hey, Brandon, who was the
one who got busted juice? And remember he was working
with Tom Brady's guy. And then what happened Bill Belichick
bend him from being there?

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Do you remember that?

Speaker 7 (36:10):
Yep, just pulling up to make sure he was suspended
the first four games back in twenty eighteen for violating
the league performance enhancing substance He was PD policy.

Speaker 6 (36:18):
So yes, I was right, it was Edelman.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
It was Edelin, but that was he was working with
Brady's guy.

Speaker 7 (36:24):
Yeah, I'll put his name up, but yeah, what's the
guy that grew h Gorg?

Speaker 6 (36:30):
Yeah, I know who you're talking about.

Speaker 7 (36:31):
I have to get yeah, exactly, that's just my point.
And he kept him out of the facility. He was
done with him. So Robert Kraft, you're right, he kicked
him out.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
He kicked him out of the facility after that, right,
that's what I'm saying. Okay, last call, Tom, let's get down.
Last call time. That's right, Rob's last call before he
takes a break.

Speaker 7 (36:49):
Alex Guerrero. I was trying to get to the Alicx Guerrero.
Alice Carrero, you have TV twelve Sports Therapy Center. All right,
let's do it like this, A seven seven ninety nine
on Fox. It's the number to call. Last call you
want to get in, your chance to do so. I'm
gonna get back to this game, Rob, see if we get.

Speaker 6 (37:04):

Speaker 7 (37:06):
