Speaker 5 (01:33):
They just had a sports royalty in La moment, right
they who they show? So after they're replaying the home
run from KIK and then they go to the crowd
and it's Magic Johnson as you live here. I don't
know if there's anyone more beloved than him. I tell
people Tome I'm dead. It's insane the love people have
from Magic here and Sandy Kofix and they're both like there.
They both do like a like you can tell maybe

(01:54):
their thing with the games together. They do like a
point to each other thing after the home run, but
that is insane. Sandy Kofk, he's Magic Johnson.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
And Sandy Kofax is going to turn ninety and he's
still at the ballpark's co He's coherent, like he's there.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
He's like not just like they're willing them out, you know,
just an honorary thing.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
He is there and the seats living it up.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
So chopping it up with Magic Johnson is it's amazing
because he's his name is so iconic. You almost feel
like he's gone, you know what. I mean like Babe Ruth.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
And like like he wouldn't want to be bothered, you know,
like like you pitched and all that, like just ninety years.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Do I really want to go to the ballpark?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
He is in it.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
He's at the ballpark all the time. And then who's
the other one from entertainment tonight?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Mary she's there? Yeah, she has season tickets.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
She's there, Mary, Mary Hart, she she's there.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
You know what, use was there a lot all the time?
Larry King, Larry King will be it.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
You remember he's from Brooklyn, so he was a Brooklyn
Dodger fan, so he was always a Dodger.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
No, you know who deserves a ton of credit right
now because everybody that we're seeing is lower level mezzanine level,
like all below. You know, Magic's in with the second
row maybe at that Jerry O'Connell is sitting like in
the third level.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
And he's a celebrity, right so you know, you know,
beat me.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
To the question.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
He's on the ground like, hey, I'm with the crowd
when something good happens. Shout out to him for being
a real fan and not having his agent get him.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
You know what you box seats like Kelvin.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Sometimes you want to get sometimes you want to get
in the bill. It's the World Series. Nah No, I
ain't doing it. Get somebody else to do it. If
that's a real fan, then listen. I don't mind doing it.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
But the idea that like that's my real fandom, you best.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Believe celebrity fans.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Don't you think that that means something that he's like, Hey,
I didn't go through an.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Did that a couple of years ago?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
There is because because I've I've gotten like strange looks
when I've been on the New York City bus or subway.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Everybody takes the bus somewhere in New York.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
I was on the bus and the guy almost passed out.
He couldn't believe I was on the bus going to
my sister's house from you know, like the subway.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I saw you at the World Series today?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Where's your card? Picking you up? You're on National TV?
You broke on the bus. Okay, I'll give you that now.
I'm not gonna lie. I there are how do I say?
I definitely am one of those. I forget how I'm
you know, yo, You're on TV, you do this, You're
a radio team because I'll be looking busted and disgusted
at times and don't care.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Especially Robber. You know when you got kids and we
got to hurry up and get somewhere. They need to
go to CBS to get the blah blah blah blah.
I don't give a dang. And that is the day.
Somebody's like, yo, I just want to say, I watch
you every morning. Man, I'm like, I just can't believe
your hair is so much. Yeah, rob g B disrespected
me too, mand you just pull a coupon out of
your pocket. That's funny, rob g B. Dish is Oh man,

(04:44):
you need bigger then that's the Jordan's. They look a
little dusty. Oh man, your chain ain't big enough. See
rob g you can't have it both ways. You can't
be trying to say I'm you're still driving a challenge.
You're still driving. You can't put me over here all
you up there with the up and ease and all that,
then you put me in Which one is it?

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Man?

Speaker 4 (04:59):
I'm multifaceted. Hey, which private school your kids go to? Again?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Who said they.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Kids don't laying it back? Say shay you better, you better? Hey,
my kids don't worry about with my kids. How you
know they go to private.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
There you go, all right, we got two tm I
all right, yeah, you know what I'm saying. Just we
ordinary African students. There you go, all right.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Hey, so rob G, Michael Jordan has made his day.
But on NBC, he made.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Two of them.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Week two of the Michael Jordan Experience.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
On NBC, when they held us hostage with the Last
Dance for ten.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Weeks, that's right, hey, we needed we.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Thank god they said we need needed.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
We used to get an episode and die second the
whole week.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Rob G.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
During that, you remember that.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
It saves our whole lives. That and Tiger King.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
I had to hate on nineties basketball every day like
six weeks because we needed the content.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
We needed the content. We had to disrespect Magic Johnson repeatedly.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
I was like, left hand, left hand, like you got
you can't do that in these days at Magic. I
had to We need Robino. He was struggling out there
in the streets. That was a wild time. Michael Jordan.
Week two of the NBC Experience, and this week's topic
was about load management.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Here's what his airness had to say on the subject.
Take a listen.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
What do you think of when you hear the term
load management thrown around, Well.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
It shouldn't be needed first and foremotes.

Speaker 7 (06:24):
You know, I never wanted to miss a game because
it was an opportunity to prove it was. It was
something that I felt, like, you know, the fans are
there that watch me play. I want to I want
to impress that guy way up on top who probably
worked his ass off to get a ticket or to
get money to buy a ticket. You have a duty
that if they're wanting to see you, and as an entertainer,

(06:44):
I want to show right.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Now, that's all straight on it is.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
And he was like that, he oh, but he always
talked about that, like somebody came to see me play
today and they paid their money and that, and of guys,
they just the money's so big now. They don't think
that they owe anybody anything. They really don't look.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
What I just look what our row money got crazy.
I literally have to say the money got so crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
They don't think that they owe anybody in it.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
It's just and you know what it is, too, Rob.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
I think there's a contingency of folks in the NBA
who just didn't know any better, Like if you were
about ten twelve years ago, thirteen when the money got crazy,
I think you just started to be just like the
money's huge. Why do I got to participate in an
All star game? Why do I got to particip what's
the big deal out? Why do I gotta be a
dunk contest? What's the big I hoop? I playing the game? No, listen,

(07:39):
all of this goes hand in hand with how you
view the game, and the game is left better when
you Kobe Bryant, God blessed that are giving it your all,
practicing your work.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Michael Jordan playing in the Dunk com Michael Jordan was,
and the Dons twice, Yes, you.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Know, and so many guys did it. And it's so
many guys. Larry Bird was Larry Bird still pulling up
at the three point contest now y'all know, y'all losing
it right, not even taking his warm up jacket off.
You had the best of the best participating. You had
the best of the best wanting to play because you
know what they did wanted to do. You're not coming
in my town tonight. Larry Bird, if his magic Dominique,
if his Jordan Isaiah Thomas you're not coming in and

(08:14):
showing him out tonight, and he said, and we didn't
play the whole thing. He went on to say, physically,
if you cannot play, whar am I if you really can't,
but the idea that you could play, or the idea
that you just don't.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Want to, or even a team.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
I gotta put some of this onus on the team,
not just the players, because Steph Curry talked about that, Well,
we're gonna just sit you out tonight because d da
da da da da da. And I think ring culture
rod plays a role in.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
This, because the only thing I'm gonna say is if
Steph Curry tells them I'm playing tonight, there's no way
to tell him. I don't disagree with you, Curry. I
don't decide unless you're really injured or something. But I
know I'm not doing that because because ant Man's played
all of his games, and you led me to where
I wanted to go with this.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
What brings me hope? Good brother Parker was.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
That live there, just looked up U Sacrifice Fly, Sacrifice
Fly three to one.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Blue Jay's up top of the fourth, now one out,
but Hernandez misplayed that ball into a triple. You gotta
let that ball. You see, You're gonna let that ball
drop in front of you and not dive because he.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
Couldn't catch what I call him rob g the best
version of peak Oscar. But to get this real point
off then, and I want you jump in. What brings
me hope is this next crop of players you brought up.
Ant Man. Ant Man has made it known. I'm playing.
Ain't none of this. I'm playing eighty two, I'm playing
forty plus minutes. I'm young, I'm in shape less ball,

(09:39):
wimby less ball. A bunch of these young guys coming
in the league. Let's ball. We are here to play.
And I think it's because money's no longer a thing
for them because it's been so huge they had no
They know no other way. Like the money is making,
the money is making. The money is big, so for them,
they're right. The other thing is balling. I want to
be that guy. Ain't none of this. Well, I'm away around,

(10:00):
feel good. Let me get it extra week and well,
let's just wait till the playerffs. Man, I'm balling. I
don't care if it's game one, game forty one, game
eighty two. Let's go and that gives me hope that
there's a competitive edge. And last point, we saw that
in the postseason, Rob got a lot of guys wanting
to play push and shoving getting into a car and again,
I feel like Carrie and Pride is coming back, and

(10:21):
it makes me excited and happy and optimistic.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
But I will say this that NBC, I love the
idea of trying to get a big start yep, and
we capture what happened in the nineties right with Michael
Jordan and the whole NBC. I get all of that
and what they've trying to do, trying to do they got.
Bob Costa is doing the intros like they've gone all

(10:44):
the way out to try to get this right. But
I'm disappointed in the MG MJ segments in that everything's
like a throwback. He's not talking about the current players.
Come on, man, give me I want to hear Michael
Jordan's perspective of about what he's seeing with the current players.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Now.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
It looks like, and maybe I'm wrong, I'll be wrong
and it'll give some fresh interviews, but it looks like
he sat down, did a big interview and they're just
cutting pieces and they're gonna play that every Michael Jordan
appearance rather than something fresh and new or something I
want to hear. Okay, Michael Jordan was involved in you know,

(11:27):
was there some gambling or whatever?

Speaker 4 (11:30):
No, I know, I know you.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Want to go hear, but it would have been interested
in the heat, like Mike when you played the idea.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Of gambling being legal, just the just the thought of that.
Do you think that?

Speaker 8 (11:45):
So?

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Do you know?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
There are some questions there that I would like to
hear what he what he thinks, and what how that
would have changed anything.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
That's a great point.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
And what I hope doesn't happen is what you just
said that they don't sit down with him every once
a month, or maybe they.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Did it already.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
You know, I don't know, you know what I'm saying,
but you sit down with him once another and you
and I, you know, I do TV every day, You
do TV all the time. I hope they're not having
these pre production meetings with him. We knock out an
interview and then we just take every week, we take
one slippet from it. This week, we're gonna focus on
it this week, We're and then they just reair because
what I was holding.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Because even the load management is out of left field.
It wasn't based off of something. Now, if you had
a player who came out and said so, just who
just didn't play for a couple of games, like recently
in the first week or something, then that's the perfect
to say, hey, I don't know who. We could have said,

(12:38):
Joel Embiid hasn't played three games or whatever they kind
of rest or whatever.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
But and then have Michael Jordan speak on that. On
Joel Embiid, it.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Just came out.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
Here's a topic that's always a topic, Mike, let's just
the blue I think he What would be cool is
to see him talking about current players. It would be
cool to see him sit down with a player and
talk to a guy say, hey, man, you know everybody
always thinks about me as Air Jordan, but really I
was killing people with fundamentals in the mid range, and
now I'm sitting here with a young player who's you know,

(13:11):
all about his mid range game.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
I'm sitting here with that player.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
I'm sitting here with Kawhi, Kawhi, why is it both
of us have big hands in the mid range.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Do something like that, like.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
Well, that would be boring, Jordan Kawhi would be terribly boring,
but you get what I mean, Like that kind of
a thing. What's it like like how everybody goes to
a king Post up school during the summer to be
a lot of people go to that sit down with Jordan?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
What's it like to be on the block?

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Yes, gee, Shay, ask him exactly?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Great example.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Is he a player from the nineties a throwback? Was
he a guy that you faced?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Like?

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Why has he had so much success against these guys
when he plays more like during the style that you play.
Tell me about his game that those are the things
that we should.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Be Sitting him down with a man seriously, that would
be hilarious. Don't two very confident talks, Matt and obviously
the whole Father's son past Michael Jordan, don't don't he
don't waste all right? Tell us what I just think
back in my day, you just got to.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Like, I don't want to know.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
I want to hear him ant man on a gym
walk and talk all right, what you go? I'm trying
to get like you man, you know all right? And
but you know you got That's what I want to
hear him breaking down stuff like not just him doing.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Him getting not us, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
Don't give us the you know, the editor on the floor,
the cut it, the cut scenes. Don't give us the
cut scenes from last dance. No, don't give us the
one to edit and see like, oh I just bring
that and give that to him, all right?

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven

Speaker 5 (15:48):
A couple, Rob Parker Kevin Washington three to one, Blue
Jays ahead of the Dodgers right now. But the Dodgers
have two on and two outs and uh we Edmund
up there at bat. So we'll see how this works
out here. But the Savage has been great. You have
to be a rookie and.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Got the most strikeouts in the postseason for a rookie pitcher,
thirty four strikeouts so far.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Helvin, we don't need Rob, We need America right here.
Stand up. What we need Dodgers is for America. Just
doing it for America.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Look at this, come right, America.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
About it? Now that I think about it, You are
patriotic that time, America?

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Rob, what I just love Cata Does anything wrong with that?

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Yes, yes, there is something wrong with that we don't
do that anymore nowadays.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Nice people, God forbid.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
You know we are gang gang.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Now you got to pick a side at everything we
do nowadays of life, left right, Red, Blue, Up Down.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven ninety nine On Fox.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
Young Players, my MJ said, he's basically talked about the
idea of low management. I believe there's a new crop
of young guys in the NBA who are said, screw
low management.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Play me.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
I'm ready to ball and compete. We'll say you A
seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Who we got.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Let's see.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I'm sorry, Josh, and we know Nevada. No, Jose, Jose, Jose,
you know because you are from well mess. That's why
I know he said something that we didn't hear. What
what did he say? Tell me my ear, I'm telling
my hair, Alex he in Nevada? What's up?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
What's up about it? First one, he.

Speaker 8 (17:27):
Rob Calvin, how are you?

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
My man?

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Hey, We appreciate you. Jose, thank you.

Speaker 10 (17:33):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
No.

Speaker 11 (17:34):
I was just listening to that Michael jordansing and it
just it just sounds to me like he's out of touch.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
It like he's not he's not watching a lot of balls,
but he seems to have an opinion on everything now,
So I don't know if he's hard up for money,
you know.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
What he's Let me tell you what's jose.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
If it's one human who literally has to do nothing, no, no, no,
because in perpetuity, we don't get the We got Jayson
and then everybody the jacket.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
What I mean, no money. I'm Jordan socks. Money's got
the issue.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
But NBC came over with a wheelbarrow full of money,
and he said, yes, I will take that.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
He ain't got to do nothing, literally, yes, do nothing.
His shoes because of the percentage deal. He's here Rob
Parker forever before we took the call. Can we have
Marcelli's Parker break down the game real quick?

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Can we do that? We're gonna talk about it. I'm
gonna write it down for you, all right, come on,
Thank you, thank you, less, thank you. I love Marcellus.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Oh boy, Mike in North cap you Laca, North Carolina.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Mike?

Speaker 12 (18:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (18:37):
I think the fact that they're not asking Jordan about
gambling is proof that these things have to be pre recorded.
Any good journalists. Do you have a story that connects
the NBA allegedly with the Macia now and Jordan had
the gambling thing back in ninety three, right, I'm not
an expert on this, but I wanted to ask you
guys you have more knowledge. I always felt like there's

(19:00):
something we don't know about Jordan. It's the dark secret
that will never know because he's a golden boy and
kind of like they, I mean, Scottie Pippen did just
so much of him, but Jordan was made to be
the you know, I don't want to say corporates like
kind of.

Speaker 11 (19:13):
It's like he did the shoes.

Speaker 8 (19:15):
Everything is just like larger than like and all due respect,
like he's amazing. But I wonder about his father's death
at that time.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Well, there's all kinds of we talked about that in
the in the Last Dance. There's been all types of stories.
People have written.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Books, but you can't, like without the information, Like there's
a lot of speculation and we know that, but you
cannot go not journalists, not people.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Throwing stuff up. People throwing stuff up against.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
The wall can get away with that, but not You
can't put your name without proof and that's the issue there.
But we do know Rob g for a fact that
these are pre recorded.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
He's had the same outfit.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
On in the first two weeks. So this is like
an interview sits down and they pull.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Out the eight question you know what I mean and.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Given there to me.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
If I'm NBC and I'm doing and I'm a producer, Mike,
can you bring four different outfits?

Speaker 5 (20:07):
I'm that serious. If you do TV, yes you do.
That is a thing that is done in TV. Absolutely
bring anytime I bring two outfits, we're gonna swap it
up and act like it was live the next week
and not the way behind the curtains.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
That's trying to but that happens a lot in TV.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
It should happen, all right, Andre in Massachusetts, you're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
What's up, Drey?

Speaker 12 (20:30):
Hey, how you doing? Thanks for taking the call. Yeah,
Mike has those privileges, so you know, just to get him,
He's not gonna even though he should to your point,
you know, just to kind of make it look, you know.

Speaker 10 (20:38):
Switch switch up the outfits.

Speaker 12 (20:39):
But Jordan said it's gonna be done.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Oh you know, he's not doing it. I'm not changing rights.
I'm not changing.

Speaker 10 (20:46):
This is music to my ears. Rob.

Speaker 12 (20:48):
I take your point in terms of, you know, it'd
be good for Mike to talk about I like how
he intertwined the old school and the new school. But
we needed Mike's voice on this load management so we
can find put it to bed that it's junk science.
It's not good for the game, And as far as
Michael Jordan is concerned, it's a complex. It's become a
mental complex in people's minds where they think that they

(21:11):
have the best job in civilization in the universe, but
they only have to show up two thirds of the time.

Speaker 10 (21:19):
It's ridiculous. And so I'm.

Speaker 12 (21:21):
Thrilled that Michael Jordan, the greatest of all time, decided
to chime in somebody who is a man of few words.
But we need our old time, not an old time,
you know what I'm saying. We need our great to
chime in until we can get this.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
But also, but also dre and I'm not disagreeing, but
I also want some current events.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
I want him to talk about the gambling.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Mike, could you imagine gambling when you played that that
players are embroiled in this not not really like seriously
or whatever it is, something that's happening today or some player.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
I do want to hear. I do want to hear more.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
To offer than just to say that interview to me,
he has and to be recorded weeks or months out
at advance. I agree with you on that, and I
also agree, by the way, in.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
This world where everything is instant and spontaneous, that a
can interview from a month ago is what you're putting
out seriously.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
Selling us on that we're getting him, because I mean
his equivalent in football. It ain't equivalent equivalent, But I'm
saying Tom Brady is giving you stuff live.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Tom Brady's calling games. He's doing that, and you know, night.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Have swung with that. I can't believe you got away
with it.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Alright, Low, thank you appreciate it. Have a great night.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
It is the Okapa Rob Parker kelvin Washington on a
worship Wednesday, Aches and Pains where they can sneak up
on you during the holiday hustle and bustle and a
leave can help you forget the pain and make some
more happy memories instead, which just one pill a lead
provides up to twelve hours of body and pain relief
so that you can keep it moving.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Use as directed and joining us.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Now our guy friend of the show, Sean Merriman, former
NFL all profounder of Lights Out Extreme Fighting.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Sean Merriman on X What up, bra, Sean, what's happening?

Speaker 10 (23:13):
What's up man?

Speaker 2 (23:13):
How you doing doing great?

Speaker 1 (23:15):
You know what we got to start here before we
even get to football. Just a gambling scam scandal in
the NBA when you see the names a coach and
a current player and you know, these rigged poker games
or whatever.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
Just your reaction and then of course who is the
tight end of.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Who's who teammate.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Exactly they say he was at he was, you know,
allegedly one of the faces of one of these poker
uh rigged poker games. Just your initial thought of gambling.
And you know where we are today with sports.

Speaker 10 (23:52):
You know, it's crazy, man, because you got I think
people are so quick to jump and not come right, like,
don't headline all those guys. It's just big and so
you don't really know, like was a guy like invited
right to someplace or did he just show up? Did
he host? Like you just you really don't know, you know,
so I kind of let everything go out because again,

(24:15):
you know, we seen something like that. But man, God,
like the gamble, you know what I mean, Like I
think that I don't. I won't even call it just
an athlete thing. I just think that guys like the gamble,
you know, Like for me, I just I'm not. I
don't gamble on sports things like that. I'll sit down
at the box of my table here and there something
you know, But but like that table.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I guess my thing is, Sean, you know, it used
to be really taboo. And I always say this. You know,
you saw what baseball did to Pete Rose, right like excellent,
like till the end. I mean they still, uh, basically
until until he died. But my point is now they've
gotten this. Pro sports has gotten in bed. Everybody else
can gamble, but not you, Sean. Do you see what

(24:55):
I'm saying, Like like there's there's something there you know what?

Speaker 10 (25:00):
Okay, you know what what gets me? Right? Like you
know when guys are making ten fifteen to twenty million dollars.
He's still jeopardized that. That part I'll never understand now,
you know, back in the day, like take a practice squad,
got player, right, or somebody who doesn't play much not
making a lot of money. I'm not saying any of
it is okay, right, I know what you mean. You

(25:21):
get what I'm saying. It would make more sense with
a guy like that, but some of these guys are
making ten plus million a year, Like why jeopardize the
money you're making for that and risk those type of
those type of things. I couldn't. I can't really understand
that part. But as far as the Gamba and I
seen Adam Silver coming out, you know they're gonna put
their foot down in certain you know parts of it.

(25:43):
But man, it's it's too big. It's never going to
go away. But I think the regulations are definitely gonna change.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
Sean Maaron, our guests don't forget that.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
We also talk.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
About He's Got the Lights Out twenty eighth coming up
November twenty first in Long Beach, so make sure you
get your tickets for that. Will have them tell us
little bit more at the end of our chat with him,
I want to go. Just go to football and go
to your former team, to Chargers. Since we're talking, don't
be brought up Antonio Gates and whatnot, But where do
you Where are you right now? With the Charger It's
kind of a hard team to say where they are.
One minute, you're like, oh man, it's likely to be

(26:12):
one of the best teams in the NFL. Super Bowl
can be possible. We stay in a couple exactly a
couple of weeks. They struggled. Justin Herbert doesn't look great.
Here we are almost halfway through the season. What do
you make your former squad.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
Man?

Speaker 10 (26:25):
You know, they started off red hot, right, I mean,
they looked like the team that was going all the way,
and they had had a bunch of injuries. And I'm
not trying to make an excuse for it, but if
you look at like the injuries that happened, you have
Rashaun Slays to go down before the year started. He's
arguably probably one of two best tackles in the league.
He goes down, Joe moves up to the left side,
he goes down with the high spring. He gone for weeks.

(26:48):
Both running backs one golf for the year, the other
one gone for seven weeks with an ankle. Khalil Mackidon.
I'm like, what is going on? And I know people
joke around about the curse and things. I'm like, I'm
starting to believe in my soul man around Rosy Beach
the next game, because that's just it's kind of just
crazy how it happens. But it looks like they are
like back on track. It looks like it went over Minnesota.

(27:10):
I know they got the time. I think the Titans
coming up right, and so it looks like they're back
on track. But they still got a shot man to
come out on top of the AFC West, and I
know the Kansas City is starting to heat up. You know,
they got rights back, they got exaber Worthy back, they
got some of the missing pieces back. But the Chargers
still got an opportunity man to come out on top
of this division.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
How about the Green Bay Packers?

Speaker 1 (27:31):
And we you know, like they got the Jordan Love
started off hot and he kind of cool. People are like,
I don't know, they gave him the big money. Maybe
he's not as good as we think. He looked good
against the Steelers this past week on the Thursday night game,
and now it looks like the Packers might have three quarterbacks,
you know, totally forty years right, which is repredible, you

(27:53):
know what I mean, Like, what do you.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Make of Jordan Love Has he arrived? Is he that guy?

Speaker 10 (27:59):
It's I feel we're so quick to crown somebody or jump.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
I'm with you on that. I'm with the crowning because
because C. J.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Stroud was crowned after one year and that that hasn't
turned out.

Speaker 10 (28:14):
Yeah, but and I think that's just Dnage like everybody,
she'll let it make a big play there to go right.
It's just it's ridiculous how how fast we crown people
or you know, you mean.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Like Hal Tana he's the greatest baseball player ever play base.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
You know, we haven't seen it for a handful of
years now, this.

Speaker 10 (28:30):
Ain't new, but that's just that's just kind of where
we are. And so when you talk about Jordan Love,
man like this is the same guy that took them,
you know, took them to Ashes. This is the same
guy they paid the money to, the same guy they
brought in to replace Aaron Rodgers. By the way, Aaron
Rodgers still playing right, And so you know, I think
it's just far beyond this, Jordan having a good, you know,

(28:53):
good bad game, and they got some other pieces on
there that they need to pick up, and it really
just can't lay all on his shoulders.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
You brought up we were talking about in AFCU saying
the Charger could compete, maybe get to the World Championship
for World Series.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
He's not. Baseball's on behind Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
One of the teams they might have to go through
and none of us saw this coming is the Colts.
They have a great running game with Jonathan Taylor. Obviously,
the passing game has been good as well. Defensively, they're
scoring thirty Are you in on them? And are they
real deal?

Speaker 10 (29:24):
Right man? So I was on the field when the
Chargers toad the coach that I was talking to Reggie
Wayne for a minute, catching up with him, and they
got a squad over there, And I don't think that
people are talking about them enough. And I know they
got a good record and shuff but I was watching them.
They're probably one of the most balanced teams in football
because they can run the ball and throwing the ball. Well,
dam Jones, you know, looking like the complete opposite of

(29:47):
what he was in New York. So something was going
on there where he's just a complete different player and
also that defense man, Like, they got some dogs out there,
and if you look at him.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
They've had a very easy schedule though, Sean, I mean,
I don't know if look at your schedule.

Speaker 10 (30:01):
I'm just saying, and again there's other teams, right, there's
other teams. But the Bills are good this year. But
the Bill has dropped a couple of games where they
probably should have won. Right, It's still the NFL. So
when you talk about easy schedules, yeah, you can have
an easy game or two, but you ain't gonna be
six seven games in and still talk about that. There's
something with the team. And by the way, Jonathan Man

(30:23):
running back, that dude's gonna break all kinds of records. Yeah,
he's done. If he keeps up at this pace, he's
gonna break a ridiculous amount of records.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
Now, I'll tell you what I was saying, the same
thing with the MVP too, if he had to ever
have a chance.

Speaker 10 (30:37):
Yeah, you know they gonna get that to a quarterback
that ain't going nowhere.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
We know it's they might as well call it the
quarterback VP. That's what they need to cut a QVP.
Hey Sean, doing us a favor. Tell us about what
you got going on. I just talked about your next fight,
your next DOUG competition.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Tell us a little bit more about it.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (30:56):
Now, we got a huge fight this Saturday in Long Beat, California.
Anybody in so calum Man makes you get to this
one lights out Extreme Fighting twenty twenty eight and then
while tickets are lights out, accept dot com online. But
you don't want to miss this one man we got.
We got a couple of guys in this car and
I think they're want to done with us and headed
off to the UFC. You know we sent you know,
we we sent like four guys in the last like

(31:17):
forty days, either DANI Series or or the UFC, and
uh this we got one one guy, Grant Neil, who's
who's on the main the main event fighting Nada. Uh
Ronaldo Valente, he might be gone. He already got a
call from the US seed. I think he's gonna come
back and fight this time and be out.

Speaker 12 (31:34):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (31:35):
Cole Lawn is another guy that a couple of he
we just signed him a couple fight deal, I think
a three fight deal. He's gone after that contract is up.
Drake Floyd's on his card as well, so we're we're
stacked up. Man. So if you guys in Long Beach
anywhere close to Long Beach this Saturday makes you get
your tickets at lights Out except dot com and will
be live on the Lights Out Sports TV, available on
every smart TV I US and Android.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
There you have one last thing. You got to be proud.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Seriously, when you start something, I know, you know, it's
it's not easy to get something.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
Off the ground.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
And you see other people now you know, eating even
bigger off of you know what I mean, something that
you started.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
How does that feel?

Speaker 11 (32:10):
Man?

Speaker 10 (32:10):
You're not been around this sport for almost eighteen years
and I started training with a lot of the guys
in the mid two thousands. And when I got this
sport in this business, you know, I wanted to start
introducing some things. Obviously I've built the brand with Lights
Out on a football field and kind of making that transition. Here.
Watch these guys get called and we got to fight
every every month, and so watching them get called up

(32:31):
and we know the UFC is watching, I was just
an Outla daby in Dubai. I want to to fight
out there last week, last Saturday, I was out there
and so just to be around. Man, it's het the
organization to see where we're going. I believe we're next up.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Love it, man. Just tell Dana White just to drop
a billion on you.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
So you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
You buy it?

Speaker 4 (32:47):
You success?

Speaker 3 (32:48):
You know.

Speaker 10 (32:50):
Yeah, I'm a studing with text. I hope to get
an over turn back on that.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
I tried out, No doubt, man, good stuff. Appreciate you,
all right, I appreciate it, thanks, no doubt. Last call
on the Way eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox,
Last call on the wast call all right, no show
flying by. I thought it was last call for the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
It's only the sixth in still sixth inning.

Speaker 5 (33:11):

Speaker 4 (33:56):
I got a text from our guy Tony chef fanatic
who did our Oh yeah, celebrate that, shout the chef.
Yeah he did.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Text me said, uh, in honor of the Dodgers cold bats,
I'm going to seven eleven to get an ice.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Cold forty ounce soda. You really said that, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Thanks to what you said forty ounce.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
I'm like you said soda was sound like chef.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
You know what time it is?

Speaker 10 (34:25):
Right?

Speaker 4 (34:26):
I do know what time? It's time for last car.
Yes it is.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Maybe it is God. That's some trickery right there, Elijah.
I don't know how you do that camera listen to listen, man,

(34:54):
that's unbelievable working, Elijah.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Can you go work at CBS and helped him out
or something? They need help? You know that's bad? All right?
Orlando N. L.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Passo, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio and
you are the last call.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
What's up my man?

Speaker 11 (35:14):
Hey guys, Hey, guess what. I just Repeter three straight, so.

Speaker 5 (35:18):
You had I didn't even know if that's something. You
got to screen these calls better?

Speaker 8 (35:22):
All right?

Speaker 10 (35:23):
Yeah, I think before Lebron tells him, how about that?

Speaker 2 (35:26):
That's good Orlando.

Speaker 11 (35:30):
Now I want to say about the NBA.

Speaker 10 (35:32):
Listen, exclude the NBA.

Speaker 11 (35:34):
They want viewership because the viewership is down. I think
the n GA. The NJA interview is can.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I like his take on.

Speaker 11 (35:42):
Load management because I do agree with this. This and
Adam Silver was his nonsense. I've really hurt the league
in my opinion, but it would have been better if
it would have done like Charles Barkley tag like he's
at the studio doing his thing.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
You know, Mike do that.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
We knew that, Orlando, right, but that's not his most
He's not gonna do that, and you know, have a
hot take or rip somebody.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
It's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
More than anything.

Speaker 5 (36:08):
Why I think he wouldn't do it, Orlando and Rob
is because I can't see what's coming. See Chuck don't care.
You can have Chuck what you think about gambling. Look,
y'all know I love the gambling. But I ain't saying that. Chuck,
what you think about President Trump? He's in it whatever
it is, He's ready, don't mind, he'll go there. I
think MJ would, he would want to know what you're
gonna ask him before. You can't put me on a
spot with potentially five ten million people, however many watch watching,

(36:30):
and I gotta answer this awkward question that I didn't
know what was coming, that's the part to me.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
But I knew he was never gonna be on the
set first got him there, like, oh yeah, he's gonna
be no no, no, no, no, he's not gonna be
in studio, he's not gonna be live, none of that.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
I knew that. What's happening he MJ? What do you
think of Giannis?

Speaker 6 (36:48):
And this gather step controversy that we got going on
right now?

Speaker 2 (36:51):
We gotta do talk about I might have to gather myself,
I mean, and.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
Dan Patrick said he saw what four and a half
of five? What damn Patrick? Changed your prescription? And there
are NBA like next stuff referees.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
Quote unquote on Twitter thinking, well, you know, in today's
NBA a gather step doesn't count of the steps, so
it's all right.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
What that man went from Milwaukee back to Greece with
that traveling?

Speaker 2 (37:13):
That was crazy.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
If you don't know what we're talking about, just looking
up Giannis and traveling took about six seven In New York.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
We used to say, you just took the A train,
you know like this, you know, like you didn't walk.
I mean, come on, man.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
That was crazy. I thought he was shot. You slide
to the left.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
Everybody clap your hands like that's how low can you go?
Can you go down low on the way to the flow?
Get it robbed? How low can you go? Can you
bring it to the top like it never never stopped?
Can you bring it to the top?

Speaker 1 (37:44):
What hop?

Speaker 4 (37:46):
Did you see that? They just robbed? Oani? Overhead?

Speaker 1 (37:48):
I was kind of getting into the just had a
heart attack over there. You just had a dive and
catch Who was that in right field? I mean it
looks like a good hit.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Hello.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
Yeah, nice, that was nice. Oh that was nice. Yep yeah,
Dodgers better get something going. And we talked about this,
it will be a battle of our starters are really
good versus your offense and the starters not bad.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
I'm not passing myself on the back.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
But the one thing I did say in the beginning
was the Dodgers offense, just I don't think it's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Good, and it hasn't been.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
It's still early, and it's still early even in the
series because you you gotta win seven.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
But they have not been good. There's no denying that
they better get something going.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
I never miss your radio show.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
I never hear it, so I never miss it.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Did you hear that
