Speaker 3 (01:58):
I mean, let's see what to rob and to pick
bad stuff about me.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
At loos Sef said, please know the biogenesis shames to
the Sixers.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
I don't know what biogenesis meant.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
That's okay, that's my guess.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
That's my guess.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Allegedly alleged say that Doug Young says Rob Parker is
having me in tears from laughing so much.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
And then we said the show that would that would
have never happened. If Rob was reading everyone right, he
would have skipped over it. I'm here for your entertainment dollar,
I am.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
It's snow time the crack crypto, It's time the crypt.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
What else.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Someone made the point here that the Bible app makes
a lot of money, so they are kind of profiting
off of the Bible.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
But it's not called the Dunkin Donuts King James version.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
It's just the Bible. Give it some time. They might
be My daily streak is right now. Hold on Alex.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Days, Chris had to go what you call you, I
had to go to rehab because he was on the
Bible out to me.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
He was, you know, his screen time said the Lord
needs you to take a seat.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Rest And on the seventh day, the Lord sorry, rest,
you gotta take it easy.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
Bro.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
What else you got that's funny?
Speaker 4 (03:21):
But I know London said, odd mob spicy tonight.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
He's right. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
The best part is Rob that I can tell Ivanta
has to skim through because he's.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Like, oh, there's a lot we can't say for it.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Is it spicy for us or spicy against each other
because they'd be going at it again us. Then it's
sometime they go at it against each other. They'd be
yelling at each other. And the best part too, it'll
be the most random. It'll be something not a topic
that we hit it one little thing and that becomes
the whole.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
My mom's advice when I went to college. So yeah,
that was Mama Parker kept it a little too real.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
That was real though, real question for you do you
ever miss a meal she made when you were a kid.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
My mom was a fantastic cook.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
I told you this before. Oh yeah, particular one.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Well my mom made because she used to make everybody's
birthday can. I used to call her Betty Crocker. They
used to call my mom nicknamed Betty Crocker.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
She My mom was from Alabama's old southern fried chicken,
collie greens, mac and cheese, yeah, tomatoes and all that.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
And I'm gonna say this too, and I'm not and
I say this for real.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
So my roommates at college at Southern Connecticut State University,
three of them, I have.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Four of us in the dorm or whatever. Three they
were white guys. When I used to go home.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
And I and they knew I was coming back that
Sunday night, driving back from New York. They're in my
room waiting. I'm not even kidding you. And they'd be like,
what what your mom said?
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Would you?
Speaker 7 (05:01):
Like?
Speaker 1 (05:02):
No doubt because they never had fried chicken, you know,
like not cook by somebody's mom, not at a store
or whatever.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
That cake, mac and cheef, all that.
Speaker 8 (05:14):
My mom was like, I got things, creams, potatoes, tomatous Lamb, ramps, Halls, Balts,
Chicken Chickens.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
And Rob.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
The odd mob seems to be big fans of the
snow Time Lakers song.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
All right, let's do it. We get the whole song
out of Stewart.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Christopher Stewart here said, yo, Rob, that song is way
better than the whack Wemby song clip. I crack up
every time you play it racist. Come on, we like
the ones.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Here we go. Let's do it. Let's do it. We
got a couple of snow.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Time and the crypto storing Luco.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
We're also storing Austin Reeves and the Pasty Lakers. Let's
play so bad. Wait, you gotta put cream Abdul Jabbar
in there.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Know they got another kill call that man should kill oatmeal.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Unbelievable. I put them on there too.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
If there's nothing wrong with our Wemby song either, every
one knows it's whim.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
They went out bad though. I think that's why everybody
over there. They could have just lost summertime.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
We need to do We need to do the the
segment where we have all the songs right.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yes, just let me know scheduled day off Scott h

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Your burger is sorry, you're the ruler for everyone.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
I wrote that must have been an age of my side.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Glemp. You give me some extra pickles because your burgers.
Speaker 8 (07:43):
I'm so bad.
Speaker 4 (07:47):

Speaker 5 (08:10):
That's why they watch our show, smooth Oborada. Don't care

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Oborado. Oh boy, we are nuts. We are nuts, Alex.
We empty, not empty. But this is your summer run
through right now. We're gonna one more.
Speaker 6 (08:35):
Okay, how about this? Oh, this one's still my personal favorite.
You guys a believer still?
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Oh yeah? And then I saw his chore. I'm a
believer and not a trace about in my mind. I'm
in mom, I'm a believer. I couldn't leave.
Speaker 9 (09:04):
Doom.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Dooms carry rhoads. That's right. That was very good. You
know how I know robb G at here because he
would have turned over. He turned over. He turned over
in the house right now listen if you'd heard that, No,
you know why you knew rob G's not here? The
show was fun. Oh I'm sorry? Did I say that
a loud of something you did alive clip that had
sent it to.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
All right, here we go sixteen years ago?
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Something happened Ian.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
What happened sixteen years ago was the original the decision
from Lebron James, the ESPN.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Scene, and you were only three or four or something.
I do not remember. It isn't don't tell us that's
how young you are. That's crazy.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
No, I mean I still lived in New York at
the time, and I remember it was like the like
a huge consolation prize that they ended up getting Carmelo.
But it didn't feel like it at the time, you know,
because he was coming home and all that. But that's
what I remember from that time was the next getting
Carmelo anthing. That's how young I was.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
What do you get out of that?
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Was a good decision or bad decision to do it
the way it is because he got backlash Foard.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
He got a lot of bad I mean, that was
the black guy that was. That was the thing for
probably a decade, like if you didn't like Lebron, that
was the thing. And I think it's less the decision
the way it kind of played out, more so where
he ended up going. Meaning if he literally had the
same thing Jim Gray two million dollars year, I think
it was the Boys and Girls Club all that, but
he goes back to Cleveland. I don't think it's a
(10:27):
big deal. I think the decision was a big deal
because of the decision that was made, more so than
the theater of it all. But I think I looking
back at it, I mean, if you would have told
me twenty four years that would be like the big
scandal of his career, it's kind of like, you know,
the scandal.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
It's just it's a scandal.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
But I mean that would be the thing that people
made people irate for such a long time. I guess
you'd say that was a compliment, tim you meaning there
wasn't a bunch of wild stuff, if you will, But
that was the thing for years that a lot of people.
The decision really kind of turned. That's when it turned
for him. Up until that point, he was a young star.
Most people are either either indifferent or you loved him.
(11:07):
And then it was the league finally kind of said
all right, it's his league for a handful of years,
and then the decision came and that was when it turned.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
You remember the following season he.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Puts on the black hat and tried to be the
bad guy when he was with Miami that first year,
and that's just you know, that's not Lebron.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
So it just seemed odd and awkward and out of place.
He wasn't he wasn't him.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
But now it's funny, Ivon Taker. I swear every big
recruit has a decision. Yeah, what's up? I stout, You know,
I got three hats.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
I mean he's just phoning now like like it, I'm
gonna go to this and that pick up the hat
sight Nah, I'm gonna go to this one. I just
saw one where a kid it was about picking what
college they're going to. So it's all these Ivy League schools, right,
So he had the hoodie or the sweatshirt from all
the schools. And then of course after he went through
the five Ivy League schools that he always talked about,
Columbia and Harvard and Yale and whatever, then he goes
(11:57):
back into his bag and picks out Vanderbilt.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Like, I'm like, yeah, it's you know what I mean,
it's theater now everything is then or not, Robina, Come.
Speaker 6 (12:09):
On for revealing your kid's gender. We're doing not getting
cared people lifting weights like the dropping the just kids
say we're having a boy. We're having a boy.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
You want to buy if you're not sure, buy green
stuff but yellow green tan? Yeah, girl, But what's wrong
with we did a gender review?
Speaker 7 (12:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:28):
It was probably was a phony or right.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
We didn't do all great. We just did a little popped,
a little twisted and pops. We didn't people got people
trying to do you see the woman man couldn't make
the dials.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
He had to keep trying.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I just thought it was it's it was a second
tone for Lebron, you know, being it about him and
being over the top with that.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
That's all. I just came off as that wasn't necessary.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
He does that play you know music, I don't want
to call like back in the Deloreum we're talking and
go back in time. I do all this, I do
all this. I'm going back. I'm taking my talents back
home to Cleveland. It isn't even a thing anymore, you
know what i mean. Was it the result of the decision.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
No, it's not. It's one of the results. Just I
think it was the result.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
I've really done that. It just didn't I'm taking my
talents to self Like. It just was so like I
wanted to throw up in my mouth Alex that night.
And this was twenty sixteen.
Speaker 9 (13:22):
Ye was that?
Speaker 3 (13:23):
No, that's way No, twenty ten, sixteen years ago. I'm sorry,
twenty ten, and I just was like, what all that?
You know, Like it's just there's some humility.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
It's just like I'm sitting in the barber's chair, because
to me, I'll equate that him sitting in the barber's
chair talking about when I when we came back from
three to one, that's when I knew I was to
go like that.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Those two to me go hand in hand. No, do
you see what I'm saying. I don't mind that one
as much. I'm just saying like that, that's who he is.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Like like, you don't need to say the second one,
but you said the second one because you said the
first one when.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
You were moving on. You know you don't have to
do all. You know what you know. I've grown to
believe more and more.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
And if you've heard me say this a few things
a few different people subjects we had, I think when
it comes off awkward because you're not comfortable even in
saying it. If Anthony Edwards, let's say he wins a
ring or two and then he's like, that's why I
believe to go you because he's been that Anthony Edwards
has sold people to his face. Kevin Durant's my favorite
player well growing up, but I'm about to bust his
(14:28):
head tonight. And he's just been that guy his whole
career that has, say five years, he wins a couple
and then he wins a tough one like it comes
back for three and he's like, that's why I'm to go.
I think we would care less Lebron. The problem is
so many things he does passive, but that's not the
but so I'm saying it comes off we it comes
you know what I mean. Like if you were in
the Muhammad a lea bag all the time, I'm the greatest,
I'm the one I took him down, You'd be like, hey,
(14:49):
that's what he ay talked about.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Talk but that but that was different, you know, like
back then you used to have to sell yourself in boxing.
I don't think the Muhammad al lei because it was
just a different game, you know, like you really and
they used to get together.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
It was to put on a show. I mean, I
mean that was a part of it.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
And I'm not saying he didn't take advantage of it
and used that as a persona, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
To sport at that time he became.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
That Yeah, he like like but but there was a
reason for doing that back then, when you were trying
to get attention. Uh in coverage all right, eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox, it's been what is this
sixteen years years?
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Decisions?
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Was that a good decision or a bad decision? How
do you see that as it's played out all these years?
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Did it move you? You know me in decision two
point oh, Alex it moved? Or did it not move?
Speaker 6 (15:37):
You?
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Old on it moved my afternoon lunch. Old we're talking
about I'm talking about the decision moved. We're in decision
two point oved.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
Sixteen years later, he still got he holding the NBA hostage, Ivonte.
You got all these team, you got Bob Myers making
Please all right, have you come to our team? Eight

of hair in the US of A.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
The answer to the question everybody wants to know, Lebron,
what's your decision in this fall?
Speaker 9 (16:37):

my towns to South Beach and join the Miami Heat.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Rob, Did Kirk Franklin drop that bad habit he had?
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Is that over?
Speaker 3 (17:45):
What habit that said that?
Speaker 9 (17:47):
Well?
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, he talked about it.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
If you talk about that one, yeah, he's he's he's
been very open about that.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Yeah, I'm serious, Rob, Sometimes it's always the closest to God.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
Yes, well no, that's that's see, that's what the misconception is.
The point is never that because you're a believer, that
you're perfect.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
That's what I'm saying. It's perfect you not perfect. Bang
on my chest if you think I'm perfect, come here, Rob,
let me bang a few times.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
But no, it's people that's flawed, people that realize they
need to save it. That's the po Stop not being real,
that's the whole point.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
That's a cop out, Alex, do all your sin and
then ask for forgiveness. No, no, no, see y'all miss it.
That's how it works. Don't make me start.
Speaker 7 (18:24):
No.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
No, I drove drunk and killed a family. I found Christ.
I'm saved. Are you missing him?
Speaker 12 (18:31):
No?
Speaker 3 (18:31):
I found It're missing it, and there's no time that
you can't find it.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
In fact, on the cross, there was the two next
to him, and the one dude was about to get
crucified too.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
He was like, yo, I know that you are to
save it. He was like, yo, you're about to go
ahead with me, and they stop.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
It is a worship Wednesday eight seven, seven ninety nine.
And another thing Alex like, yes, I argue with Houston
theology you have that. That's another summer segment.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
I would love that.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Matter of fact, Alex, don't even worry about it. Me
and you, Rob and Rob, both of Robs.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
We'll be there. We're gonna be there, Chrisper starting. No,
We're just gonna go to church. That's all.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
Garrett Bush on the way right now, Bot forget trained
to push past the pain. Not athletes, just people trafficked

someone they trusted. During the World Cup, help us break

All right, sixteen years to the day the decision. Did
(19:24):
we overblow it? Is it still a big deal? Did
it change the game? Is it change how you viewed Lebron.
Let's take some calls.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Who we got?
Speaker 1 (19:30):
All right, Marshall and Duluth. You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio. Let's get through as many as
we can. How are you, Marshall?
Speaker 9 (19:36):
I'm doing good. I'm doing good. First of all, I
would thank you all to find Jesus love you.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Yes, I got you. I got you, don't worry about it.
Speaker 9 (19:46):
I got you, Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 7 (19:47):
But second, I was just gonna say so when I
first got into basketball the year that the decision happened, right, So,
looking back at now, I understand that he kind of
did it in really poor taste and the.
Speaker 13 (19:57):
Way he did it.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
Yes show when I was young, and when I first
heard it, I heard, Oh, he's gonna go play with
his friends d Wade and Bosh probably when and he's
going to Miami. I was like, that sounds like the
easiest decision I've ever heard in my life. It was like, Oh,
you can stay home, we're you even losing and they
haven't been giving you any help. Or you can go
(20:18):
to Miami. I mean, it's Miami and then you're going
with you play with d Wade, who is not my
favorite player.
Speaker 12 (20:24):
And you got Chris Bosh.
Speaker 13 (20:25):
I was like, no, that's an easy decision and no.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
State income text. Thank thank you, Marshall. Appreciate, appreciated, Marshall.
How about Greg and Kansas. You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up?
Speaker 9 (20:36):

Speaker 7 (20:38):
Told you repoard, gentleman, he's the moat?
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Who's the moat?
Speaker 8 (20:43):
Little Bron the mercenary of all time.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Yes, there you go. I told you. Greg.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
His statue out in front of Cleveland Stadium, him with
a basketball in one hand, in a suitcase in the other.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Have a feel Eliza about to pull it up.
Speaker 12 (20:56):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 8 (20:58):
I want to like guy, but I can't.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
I hear you.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Thank you, Greg appreciated. Justin in New Mexico. You're in
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
What's up? Justin?
Speaker 9 (21:09):

Speaker 12 (21:09):
Fellas?
Speaker 7 (21:09):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 9 (21:10):
Yes, sir? Hey, God is good all the time?
Speaker 12 (21:15):
Yeah, real quick, man?
Speaker 7 (21:16):
Uh, I call Lebron the coat corneus of all.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
You got the moat the coat?
Speaker 8 (21:25):
Yes, look here, real quick.
Speaker 13 (21:27):
He wants to take MJ's spotlight's so bad, and you
know he can't do it.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Man, He just has the still.
Speaker 12 (21:32):
Moments when it's not appropriate.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
He hates it.
Speaker 7 (21:34):
He can't out shine MJ. And second point greats don't
call themselves the greats.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Thank you, the right lit the writers, analysts, journalists, thank
you please.
Speaker 7 (21:45):
And Jim Gray looked disgusted and he had to sit
there for an hour.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Now you took it too far. Other than the paycheck.
Gray left some camera Town's thanks a lot for the call.
Andre in Massachusetts. You're in THEYD couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up dright hey doing?
Speaker 9 (22:02):
Thanks for taking the call.
Speaker 12 (22:03):
Listen, I'm rocking with the decision one hundred percent because
it was a primary inflection point. It was the turning
point in the player empowerment movement. Lebron James at the
height of his influence saying listen, I'm taking my talents
and I don't have an issue with the way that
he phrased that because he was establishing what would become
(22:24):
the player empowerment movement. Now it does have its detrimental
with players forcing their way out and trying to get
out of contract. Nevertheless, Lebron James does deserve a lot
of credit in terms of college athletes finally getting their
market value because remember it was Gavin Newsom who on
the shop signed the name image.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
But there were people trying to do that for a
long time.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
I mean, we could go back to what was it
the runner back and Florida Maurice Cloratt at Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Don't don't don't act like Lebron is the one author dat.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
There were guys who felt the Fab five talked about
is for you, je end up talking about the pizza
and they couldn't get they were selling their jersey.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
So that was a thing.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Don't get me wrong. It had happened a lot with athletes.
Do we have time for Diano's too late? We're too late,
all right? Yeah, we gotta get to Garrett Bush. On
the other side of trending is low getting you updated now?
Speaker 14 (23:20):
Fellas a crazy day and night in Major League Baseball today.
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Dylan ce S had a no
hitter going for eight innings at San Francisco before it
was broken up by an Elliott Ramo single to lead
off the bottom of the ninth. Blue Jays went on
to win the ball game ten to nothing, as CEA's
finished with eleven strikeouts in eight plus innings. Then tonight,
(23:42):
Pirates pitcher Jared Jones had a perfect game, going through
six innings with eight strikeouts against the Braves, but was
then taken out after throwing just seventy seven pitchers. Pirates
went to the bullpen and within two batters, the perfect
game and the no hitter were gone. Atlanta, what do
you mean good?
Speaker 5 (24:02):
Oh?
Speaker 14 (24:02):
Yes, yes, good, yes, exactly change what I'm saying exactly.
So the Braves wanted to win the game three and zhing.
And it gets even worse for Pirates fans because the
go had two run home run was hit by Atlanta's
Joey Bart, who the Pirates traded to Atlanta two weeks ago.
(24:22):
Pirates manager Don Kelly after the game said the reason
he pulled Jared Jones was that it was because it
was just his eighth start since undergoing and recovering from
elbow surgery back in May of twenty twenty five. But
get this, tonight, the Pirates Jared Jones became just the
second pitcher since nineteen twenty to be pulled after six
(24:46):
perfect innings. The other was Walter Johnson in nineteen twenty seven,
and Rob actually interviewed the Big Train after that game.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 14 (24:54):
The other was Max Scherzer in twenty twenty two for
the New York Mets. Right now, the Chicago Cubs have
a nine to seven lead at Baltimore. In the bottom
of the ninth inning, the Cub's Pete Crow Armstrong two
home runs. He now has twenty one on the season.
The Cincinnati Rads up eight to four, over the Philadelphia
Phillies in the bottom half of the sixth inning. The
Reds had four home runs in the bottom of the fourth,
(25:16):
including back to back to back home runs by Elie
de la Cruz, sALS Stewart and JJ Bledet. It was
Stewart's second home run of the game. The excitement of

four pm Eastern from Foxborough as Killian Imbape and France
meet Morocco.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Guys. Back to you all right, IILO have a great night.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
Appreciated aka bab Kelvin on a worship Wednesday, last call.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
The eye Love.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
We need to make an eye load make okay. I
gotta think about that. We gotta find a tie in
a theme that make it make sense. Garrett Bush joining
us now host of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports show, g
Bush ninety one on X What's up?
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Garrett, Hey, what's that fellas doing great. Make sure you
tell my man, Jake Crawford. I said, what's up?
Speaker 9 (26:22):
Oh definitely.
Speaker 8 (26:23):
You know he always is dropping the Rob Parker story,
so like he's dropping them.
Speaker 9 (26:30):
So I'll let him know. You I said, what's up?
Speaker 8 (26:32):
And you know I told him he don't. I don't
think he knew I came on, but I'll let him know.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah, no, no, no, I mean sureus. So you know,
you I work with a lot of people on television
for a long we know, yes, just about everybody had
forty years at some point. But no, the time we
had at the old Cold Pizza first take and all that,
and he tied you know this all my neckties that
I never took the nood out, Garrett. So I still
(26:57):
wear the same neckties that uh that Jay tied for
me back in the day.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
So all right, man, hey, let's get to it. G
we want to know Lebron, Lebron coming back.
Speaker 8 (27:10):
Look, this is a dupe brainer. This is the only
place he can't come back to. Like you hear this
stuff about Golden State, you hear the stuff about the
six Ers, and you know, teams of that sort.
Speaker 9 (27:21):
We've even had the.
Speaker 8 (27:22):
San Antonio s Burgs and Minnesota, uh and being mentioned
in the mix. But for Lebron, I think it's the
only place when you look at it, because people would
literally after you know, some of the hints being put out,
I think people would would go would be a little
salty if he didn't go to Cleveland. But in terms
of legacy, in terms of a basketball fit, in terms
(27:43):
of you know what lebron can do to compete for
the next two years with Donovan Minchell mobile two years?
Speaker 5 (27:52):
Oh yeah, only one you got whisper that to me,
he's gonna pass out. He can't take it.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
The only way I agree with them going to Cleveland
if Bronni can't get on the team.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Can you stop that?
Speaker 9 (28:06):
Hey, listen, that's a package deal.
Speaker 8 (28:08):
Hey, we've even jousted and we've made sure that we
got a whole spot ready for Bronni if you want
to come.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
You know why your city can't win championships?
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Shador, Sanders, Bronni James, like you guys are into all
of that rather than like the best players.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
That is a good point, Bronni, and in the same.
Speaker 9 (28:25):
Town we are going to be up.
Speaker 8 (28:29):
Can you imagine we got Shador and the wrist up,
we got Lebron James coming back, and then think about
it like this too, when you look at the excitement level,
it actually makes basketball sense when you think about it.
The thing that the cleveand Cavaliers have struggled with is
the level of mental toughness and not knowing how.
Speaker 9 (28:47):
To play a certain way to win the championship.
Speaker 8 (28:49):
Bron has already done that with the young teams before,
like Kyrie going to get Kevin Love.
Speaker 9 (28:54):
So obviously you see the same player as he was
five ten years ago.
Speaker 8 (28:58):
No, however, most I would say his superpower is not
just his game, it's his basketball.
Speaker 9 (29:06):
Ch You and I think he can unlock some guys.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
They're not winning a championship even if he shows up.
I just hate to break it.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
To you.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yes, Cleveland, I was right, Cleveland over Detroit. I was right.
Speaker 12 (29:22):
You had.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Cleveland over Detroit, and you had him over the number
one seed in the East. I did pick.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
See that, and I said it wouldn't be better. I said,
I don't see them winning a championship in the East.
Speaker 8 (29:36):
Let me go, Well, if you think about it, the Knicks,
think about the Knicks. Everybody crushed the Knicks because they
stood Pat and the only things they made was Mike
Brown and they get hot.
Speaker 9 (29:47):
They ride a hot.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
Brunsing Cat played more physical bridges wouldn't miss for whole
two old series and an Andobi was playing out of
his mind. He was, it's the Knicks team. Figure it
out in that actually be a much better team with
just acting the coach. I think that the Cats definitely shot.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
You guys have a bad coach though.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Kenny Atkinson should be fired, you know, like analytical win though,
Come on, Garrett, when he told me, he when he
told you that, that really is we should be up
three to one if you look at it analytically, we
really won three to four. James, think about that up
by twenty two with eight minutes to go in Game
one at Madison Square Garden and choke that down like
(30:30):
a dying dog. Didn't call Tom mouse. It was malpracticed.
One of the worst coaching jobs I've ever seen.
Speaker 8 (30:37):
Oh, we won't argue with that.
Speaker 9 (30:38):
When he said it analytically, I was.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
You got to use that at home sometimes. Wow, Hey baby,
analytically I was from filling the blank.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
Use that like it's so crazy. Because he said that,
and then when they brought him back I was confused.
Speaker 9 (30:54):
I'm like, well, listen, if.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
You're gonna bring him back, like what other moves are making.
The thing that actually even helps a little bit is
we all know this except.
Speaker 9 (31:04):
For in Miami.
Speaker 8 (31:05):
When Lebron is on the court, Lebron is the coach.
He's the the fact of coach. Even Kenny Akinson deferred
to James Harden and Donovan Minchell. Some people would say
too much in that playoff series as they got swept.
But Lebron James is gonna come and he's going to
be the person that needs to unlock different things and
uses basketball IQ to get more out of Evan Mobley.
(31:27):
And now here's the thing that Jared Allen thing. There's
rumblings about, you know, Anthony Davis and maybe making the
trade Anthony David for Anthony Davis with Jared Allen shrews
maybe you know a.
Speaker 9 (31:38):
Couple of picks or even shrewd for me.
Speaker 8 (31:41):
I would be more apprehensive on Anthony Davis just giving
his injury history and given his for exact but in
terms of putting himself in the East, Lebron James is
I think.
Speaker 9 (31:52):
They're right there with the Rafters. They got Kawhi.
Speaker 8 (31:55):
I think they're right there with the Miami Heat with
giannest I think the Boston Celtics took off old step backwards.
They traded a thirty six year old Paul George for
one of the best players coming off of one of
his best seasons of the year, and I think they
actually got worse.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Well, let me throw here with you. Go ahead, finish
your thought.
Speaker 9 (32:13):
Oh, I said, so for me?
Speaker 8 (32:15):
Is it a guarantee for the cast winning championship?
Speaker 9 (32:18):
Now? Is it going to be an uphill battle?
Speaker 12 (32:21):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Okay, that's all I said. I still I would bet it.
I would take the field in the East over the Cavs.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
Yeah, well, let me go with aside from Lebron, Donovan
Mitchell four years, two seventy three.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Is he worth it? People? People act like Jalen Brown?
Is it worth it? Is Donovan Mitchell worth that?
Speaker 9 (32:41):
Right?
Speaker 5 (32:42):
And they see the guy to get over it because
you mentioned it him and Harden, both the guys people.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
If you can't get over.
Speaker 8 (32:46):
Them, Yeah, the thing is you got to look at
it in terms of your opportunity costs. What's the best
alternative to Donovan Mitchell if you don't extend.
Speaker 9 (32:58):
Them and you let them walk. Well, now you can
lose an asset for no reason, so you need He
may not be the best player or could be.
Speaker 8 (33:06):
A number one, you know, option on the championship team.
But in the way of Scottie Pippen and other different
people that were very good players that complimentary, complimented the
superstars like Jordan and Pippen and different things like that
and Penny and Shaq, he gives you an opportunity to.
Speaker 9 (33:23):
Set that position.
Speaker 8 (33:25):
And then now you have that, now you gluker and
see how you go about getting better. But yeah, you
got to pay him.
Speaker 9 (33:31):
That's just the way that any NBA is because if you're.
Speaker 8 (33:34):
A certain el, you're certain I guess statue, you're gonna
get the deal.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Because you don't have you don't have to pay because
they sent Luca packing, you don't have to. I would
have paid Donovan, But I'm just saying, Garrett, they Luca,
they don't have to. No, I wouldn't have paid Luca
three fifty And that's what Dallas decided, Am I right?
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Garrett?
Speaker 1 (33:55):
They decided they didn't want to pay him three hundred
and fifty million dollars.
Speaker 9 (34:00):
I think today and I will give you credit for
this ride.
Speaker 8 (34:02):
I think what you the intent of what you're saying
is nowadays, because of the second D for him, you
want to make some very difficult decisions in terms of
how many max players you can have. You can't have to,
you can't even have really, you don't have really too.
Speaker 9 (34:16):
That's why you see what I said.
Speaker 8 (34:18):
That's why I think that the Calves have a two
year window to do something, because they at that point,
you're capped out.
Speaker 9 (34:25):
You're going to have to start over.
Speaker 8 (34:26):
So I think that's the reason they moved on from
Daris Garland for James Harden, which.
Speaker 9 (34:31):
Was a risk.
Speaker 8 (34:31):
And I think that's also why they made the uh,
you know, the big time movement. They're going and bringing
the Brown back home because if you do have a
two year window is a guarantee. Note but I'll take
Lebron in a seven game series.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
That's what they always said.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
They said that when Luca came to LA they got
knocked out in the first round. But that's another story.
I'm just saying, go back, Garret, you know this, Go
back and look at all of the analysts when Lucas
showed up here. No, I don't want to see Nobody
wants to see Lebron and Luca. Nobody in the world.
I don't know who wants to see those two.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Guys knocked out in the first round.
Speaker 8 (35:14):
Okay, I think, well you would have to say this though,
the reason and they actually beat.
Speaker 9 (35:20):
The Rockets was because Lebron.
Speaker 8 (35:22):
James turned back the hands the time Reeves was injured.
You look at Luca being injured, and he beat the
Rockets pretty much at the catalyst to do and so
so for me, Luca's injury has a lot to do
with why people are shaky about his body type and
in terms of how if he can stay healthy. He's
never been top notch sixth pack I could run all day.
Speaker 9 (35:45):
Oh no, that's not his forte. So for me, I
think when you look at the.
Speaker 8 (35:51):
Lakers, it is true Luca and Reeves and Lebron on
paper should have worked.
Speaker 9 (35:56):
It didn't work.
Speaker 8 (35:57):
And I think half that goes into the fit Luke
being injured, and in general, I think that the Lecers
just didn't have.
Speaker 9 (36:05):
A good enough roster to compete with the with the
Spurs and okay, see.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
And we gotta end it there.
Speaker 9 (36:10):
Gar, I appreciate you, man, appreciate you.

Yes the boat.
Speaker 13 (39:58):
He's the best of all time. And what that decision
did was it put general manager's own notice no longer
could you waste a great player of his caliber? No
longer can you waste this time and not build a
team around You're right?
Speaker 3 (40:10):
He played for twenty four years and got four championship.
He went. He didn't waste his last I let him
cook twenty four years, cook and you keep going for
a nice didn't waste him. He played twenty four years,
got four championship.
