Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Cindy Stumpo Toughest Nails on WBZ. And we're
in the studio tonight, and I still have my amazing
future step daughter.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hey, hey, everybody, it's Jessie Foster.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Samantha Stumpbo might be losing her job. She's falling in again.
Sam you've been traveling too much yet, honey. Okay, we
have a very very very close friend of mine in
the studio tonight, and her name is and you might
want to talk into the mic. Pull the mic closer
to you, honey. So okay, the cost of connection, losing
(00:32):
a child and the age of social media is what
this topic is about. And people might not understand this yet.
So Andrew run down on why you're in the studio.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
So I'm in the studio. I lost my youngest son.
Can you hear me here?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Make sure you're up close to the mic. Yep.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I lost my youngest son, Zachary, to a fatanyl poisoning.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Explain.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
So he was living with us, and zach was how
old he passed away? He was twenty one years old.
The night before he passed, my fiance and us we
all went to the gym and we had pizza, and
we were a family and had lots of plans for
(01:24):
the next day. And I went up to bed, and
like every night, he came in and he kissed me
good night, and he said, I love you, Mama. I'll
see you in the morning. Sorry, that gets me. And
like every night, he said, I'm going to take a shower,
and he'd put on Dave Matthews and he'd blare it
(01:46):
and it was just Zach. But I fell asleep, and
around six o'clock in the morning, Bobby got up and said,
Zach still in the shower where he's taking another shower.
Something is wrong. So banged on the door and ended
up kicking it in and I found him on the
bathroom floor. I thought he hit his head, and I
(02:09):
was I was wrong at the time. I didn't know
what happened, so he probably passed pretty quick. I won't
get into details.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
So he the shower goes on, the shower goes on,
but he never makes it into the show.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Never made it into the shower, and the shower ran
all night. The shower ran all night, and normally I'm
a light sleeper. And this is something with a lot
of parents to deal with. Is the smallest, smallest incident.
You blame yourself.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
I didn't hear.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
I didn't do this. I didn't do that. But he
had so much fatanyl in him from a quarter of
a pill.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
And the quarter of the pill was what a Viking percocet.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
It was a fake percoset. It was a fake percoset.
I didn't realize until I had the police re port
that it was only a small piece of that pill
that he took before he went into the shower. So
he fell off the toilet, the toilet onto the floor,
(03:13):
and when I found him, he bled out. Because it
was around midnight, I covered him while Bobby was trying
to get nine to one one.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
This is a big boy.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
He's a big boy tall.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Oh gosh, six' four, two twenty muscle, muscle.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Love to work, out so. Handsome i'm looking at that beautiful.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Just so such a.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Sweetheart so we're on.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Radio you cannot see the picture of, him but if,
you if you Follow Andrea silovano On, instagram you can
see your beautiful. Son she's got a dung wey jacket
on that has your son all over. It and, okay go.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Ahead Well i'm also On facebook AND i have it open.
Now so It's ANDREA. J slovano AND i have a
lot of the social media stuff that we're. DOING a
lot of the families were trying to make awareness and
we're trying to get social media to change the way
they go about profiting off our. Children go, ahead, explain,
(04:18):
well So i'll finish with WHEN i Found, ZACHARY i
still was in, shock not knowing what. Happened AND i,
THOUGHT i really didn't know what. Happened and it was
later that day they took his, phone they went through.
It there were no, contacts no drug. Dealers they found
the other part of the percoset and then an additional.
(04:41):
One so where was the other part of the. Percoset
he had it in like a little al toy. Box
so he bought two and it wasn't until a few
days after that THAT i was.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Told so they took, it had it tested tested pure,
Funnel so this whole purposet was pressed with. Fat it
was pressed, poorly so he didn't. Know and this is
the problem that we're having with these kids is that
they don't want to. Die they're making, decisions stupid. Decisions
their brains haven't fully That.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
No god, NO i couldn't come upon.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
That BECAUSE i would be like closing up this stuff
in my.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Leg oh, okay so WHAT i have here just so
you could get? It for, INSTANCE i know this is
you guys can't, see But i'm going to Show. Cindy
this is two, milligrams which equals five. Grams so if
you look at, it there's four to five little pieces
of grains of and there's actually. MORE i couldn't even get.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
It to get five.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Pieces, okay that's, enough that's what he. Ingested he ingested
more than that because he had a quarter of a.
Pill that's only a couple pieces. There that's enough to
kill a large. Man and he was two hundred and thirty.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Pounds so these little specks they, See, yeah there's one
to these. Aspects he's like dust specs.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Like, salt like little, sugar like grains of salt and,
people okay on. Anything the other one is a. Teaspoon
look what it says.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
There one teaspoon kills two thousand. People two thousand.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
People, yeah bag would kill two thousand.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
PEOPLE i can kill two thousand.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
PEOPLE i just don't.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Understand the one tea a fetanyl pressed in two drugs
can kill two thousand.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
People can even pick it. Up you have to.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Watch even women have to watch when they go to their.
Cars you pick up a twenty dollars bill or you
take something. Off, yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
That's WHY i hate touching my.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Car now be.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Careful so this is here the cups one, Kilogram, yes
so many?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
People can you read?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
That? Five this is? Okay eight cups one kilogram kills
five hundred thousand. People, OH i take a picture of,
that so we have. It. Yep. Okay so, basically here you.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Go and this is and this is.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Nothing you can't even see it in the.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Picture, Okay and this is what's coming. Across it's GETTING
i don't want to say it's getting. Better they made
one of the biggest bust at the end of the
month AND i believe it Was april AND i have
it down here, somewhere but it. Was it was a
Huge it was a huge. Bust it was In New.
(07:32):
Mexico but they worked with The ARIZONA da and a
bunch of the state and enough to KILL i, mean
it was, huge it. Was i'll find the stats.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Here was that the one that was on the, water
like out in the open, sea, no.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
No we. Don't one of those bricks floated up to
your father in the. Ocean that's another long. Story put
all your, father we won't tell. You they this is
just a crazy. Story the finally comes walking up with
a brick of, like, dude we just went write. Up but,
Anyways so to get back.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
To, ZACHARY i didn't understand what they fully. MEANT i
knew nothing about snap. CHILD i thought they were silly
emojis and you can take you, know cute emojis and.
WHATEVER i didn't know. Anything so when they told me
that by the time they get snapped to release any,
information and that's if they can get, snapped it would
(08:29):
be he'd move on to a different a different, emoji
a different, person because they're a cartoon.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Character hold that. Thought we gotta go to. Break we'll
be right. Back this Is cinddy Stumpo Toughest nails IN.
Wbc will be right and welcome back To Toughest nails ON.
Wbc And i'm here With Jesse foster and my good.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Friend, Sorry, Andrea, savanna.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
You need another Vowel savano Stump, okay go, ahead all,
Right so where were we? Know this is your? Story
REMEMBER i can tell the story for.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
You, no you cannot snapchat or the, emojis so.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Okay so when the police finally told me that there's
not much they could, do they did take his phone
and they tried to BECAUSE i did have a picture
of this, kid the drug, dealer and he Stayed one
of the detectives tried to pretend like he was Still,
zachary and lo and, behold he just moved on to
(09:28):
a different personality and stayed on Snap and there wasn't
ANYTHING i could. Do SO i kind of just, glided not.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Knowing but you're lucky that didn't, disappear because usually snapchat
doesn't the story or whatever disappear twenty.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Four twenty four. Hours, however four, HOUR i can still
see the.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Chat, Yes so if zach were to take a picture of,
like OH i want to show my, friends take a,
picture that would inform the dealer that there's a picture
taken right, away take, down take down his person.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Oh like if they screenshot at, It, yes so you
do that alert someone that's a learning a.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Dealer and there's predators out. There there's a lot of
crap out. There it's not just it's not just drugs
On Snapchat, meta all these Other Instagram. SNAPCHAT i believe
it's got to be the worst because they're the only
ones that have that app where it, disappears AND i
think they don't want to change that because that's how they're,
(10:30):
profiting that's how they're making.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Money but even, disappears can they get to? It is
this somewhere an? iCloud is it up? SOMEWHERE i? Know
it really goes, Away.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
So theoretically it's supposed to disappear after it's been.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Opened so think about.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
This this is WHAT i was. Thinking i'm a, dealer, okay,
yeah AND i want to sell you. Drugs, RIGHT i
want to find a. Kid SO i go On. Snapchat,
right you just found one high school student in your
area because it has, locations you know, this, right so
they can see your, location they can draw you.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
In so what do you?
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Do you friend, them and then you friend their, friends
and you friend their, friends and then you get a.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Whole network of.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Kids right because the, app this app suggests them to.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
You you get, it, right have that on My? Snapchat it's, like,
right suggest these people suggest.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
These people and then you're, like, oh well they're friends
With zachary or they're friends with this. Person, Right so
it becomes LIKE i can do WHATEVER i want because
you know, what it's such a low. Risk it's gonna
disappear in twenty four, hours.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
SO i don't, understand really.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Disappear, Yes so there's no way they can bring that
back to my.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Cloud, okay so Now, snap this is what we're trying to. Change,
Okay snap could change it so they have the data
on their server without changing their whole.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
They right, now they. Don't they do.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Not and what happens is that if there's a, problem,
right which there's a. Problem, okay a kid just, died
there's a. Problem so now LIKE i, DID i said
to the police, officer what do you, mean go To? Snap,
no we don't have it. Anymore it's. Gone we can't
get in, there so they can't detect. It so they're
(12:22):
not protecting our, children they're protecting the dealer that stays on.
There If snap were to do to change, us ninety
percent of the drug dealing On snapchat would, change but they.
Won't so this is why we are trying our damnedst
to change.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
This it's not what do we do to change? It
like how do we how DO i like sign my
name have to?
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Fight we're fighting. It we're there's some litigation THAT i
don't want to understand how there's there's we're go as
high as how how high of a court will go
to The Supreme. Court there's a Big they're trying to
change a, law an old two thirty law that's been
out there that they've been hiding. Behind AND i don't
(13:09):
think they can hide behind it too much. Longer this
is an outdated law Before instagram and all these Other
meta and all these other things came. About but they're
all trying to profit and they are profiting off the
deaths of our, children and they're not changing.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
It i'll give you a for.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Instance we were just In New York city three weeks
ago and we were marching WITH i believe forty seven other.
Families it was. Amazing we went in front Of. Meta we,
all not all of, us but some of us spoke
and two of the mothers had children die from fetanyl.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Poisoning and it was the same.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Dealer oh my, God and has that deal have been?
Caught has he had a pay a, price has he
been to?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Court?
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Anything? NO i take it a bully and shooting. SOMEBODY
i don't understand.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
That, no you, don't, right and this is the. Problem
so then you go to.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Jail so we're trying to change so many, things and
we're getting, there and it's it's we go to we
go to D. C we were there the judiciary.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Hearing this is definitely one president that will listen to.
This i'm, sorry this is one, present in my, opinion
that will listen to. This oh, yeah who you have
in office? Today very.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Drugs he's against, alcohol he's against all of.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
It he.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Is and IT'S i, mean it's bipartisan both.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Sides so we Have blumenthal's A, democrat and we Have Marsha,
blackburn she's, amazing and most of them for the for
the most, part we are trying to get bipartisan to
change some. Laws you, know there's there's.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
A lot of. Laws how long can that?
Speaker 3 (14:59):
TAKE i mean we've, done we've done some, Changing.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
But we, march we speak.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Out we're Not we're not going to stop until this,
stops because it's not going to get any.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Better AND i got to ask you questions fast because
IF i don't run out of the clock runs AND
i don't CARE.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
I know you could do this for a.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
While, yeah we could be here for four. HOURS i
WISH i could be and we'll bring you back. On
but if things take too long to, change takes time for.
Change is your son considered one of the every eleven minute?
Kids are you watching every eleven? Minutes is he up
on that eleven?
Speaker 2 (15:37):
MINUTES i haven't put him up?
Speaker 1 (15:38):
There that's. Okay so that's the parents.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
That, YEAH i have some other. Things there's another there's.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Spilling through every eleven.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Minutes, yes it's it's.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Very, true and our kids are dropping and it is
so bad now that the dealer so.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
So WHAT i just said that?
Speaker 3 (15:59):
For and it's like your, friend he friends you and
then it goes down like.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
This can also just be medication people take for add
because they want to get.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Down it's everything, now ninety percent of the drugs On
snapchat or fetanyl and the biggest. Thing it could be.
Adderall it could Be, OKAY i can't get my adderall.
Prescription i'm just going to buy one BECAUSE i need to.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Study it could be a.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
Xanax kids experimenting and when we did, It, cindy when
we were, kids we didn't, Die, okay we got a
slap on the, wrist or we said we smoked too much.
Weed you know, What i'll never do that. Again but
our kids aren't paying the, price and they're. Dying they're
they're making bad, choices but it shouldn't cost them their.
Life and there's just so much to, it but it could.
(16:46):
Stop and they're they're billion billion dollar, COMPANIES i.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Mean, billions.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Billions, YES i don't need the.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Kids are these kids just not?
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Educated like how do they not know at this point
in time that ninety dat drugs.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
The night Before.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Zach because they're, young number, one and they're.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Dumb AND i don't want to just say young and,
dumb but, they're LIKE i, said their brains have not yet,
developed so they make poor choices like we all did
when we were.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Kids we're desperate for. Whatever, WELL i know a lot of.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
THINGS i Hear andrea put zack aside from, It, okay
if you, want she's asking a question about the. Masses
these kids are are, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen they're taking something
because they're at a. Party, yeah they want friend gives
it to another. Friend one doesn't have the, fentanyl one
does have the. Fentanyl they're making stupid. Decisions they're, fifteen
(17:39):
sixteen years. Old follow every eleven minutes and you'll see.
This these are kids in. College these aren't just kids
hanging on the streets doing.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Drugs, no it's in.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Everything but the crazy pot is the guys on the
streets shooting herow in their arms every day have feentanyl
in it and they're not. Dying but because these, kids
because their bodies have built all chat is.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
The door dash of fatanyl right, now which is why
so think about.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
That the warnings or something on.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
You guys can't talk over each. Other, sorry it's a
bad listing. Experience, okay go, Ahead.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
So fatanyl a pill whatever they they there's menus for these.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Two there's.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Menus YEAH i, COULD i. COULD i could show you
so much of this. Stuff but there's menus.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
So they could actually deliver it to your front. Door so.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
It's like takeout For it's like a pizza being delivered
to your.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Door, okay explain, that make that a little bit more.
Clearer oh, okaykay hold THAT i thought we could go
to a. Break i'm saying. Something you Listen Toughest nails
ON Wbz News radio ten. Thirty he'll be right. Back
welcome back To Toughest nails ON. Wbz And i'm here
With Jesse foster And i'm here with my good Friend Andrea. Silvano, Okay,
andrew sometimes music affects, Me, okay BUT i picked the
(18:58):
music that actually has to do with what we're talking, about,
Right so sometimes music can be, sad but it's. Realistic
the reality is the reality, here, yes, OKAY i mean
there's so many. QUESTIONS i, mean we're going to make
you the face here of everything that's going. On. Epidemic.
(19:18):
Yep you're the one that we know personally that we
know many people that lose, children but you're a dear
friend of mine that's lost her. Son people need to.
Understand you need to teach. People we can sit here
and we can tell our, kids don't do, it don't do,
it don't do. It but the mint they walk on that,
house we have got no control over. THEM a, correct.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
You're, correct you're. Correct the only thing we can do
is look at you need to police better and.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
How much can you keep. Policing we're going to help these.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Kids you ever notice these kids they have, smartphones they
have iPhones and they're twelve they're, ten they're at. Fourteen
they should have flip phones because the stuff that when
we were, kids we would be told to come home
at dark and that's how we did. It and we
get in trouble every now and. Then these kids are
on there and if it's not they're, following you, know
(20:14):
a predator that they think is a twelve year old
good looking kid that's seeking them, out gives them a
fake pill and and they're. Gone and that's and they're
gone is and like it's a fifty year old.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Man so a flip floam to eliminate social.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Limit you got to eliminate.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
It you have.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
To you, KNOW i want to get out and speak
in the schools BECAUSE i think this is. Powerful i'm
holding Up i'm holding up the. Salt it's. POWERFUL i
think you need to to see the. Stories you need
to see his pictures to see him how beautiful and how,
smart and how like it could happen to. Anyone you
can be, rich, poor in middle, class in the middle
(20:51):
it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Matter, yeah drugs doesn't, choose they don't discover any right.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Exactly but the stigma has to come off because some
parents out there don't want to talk about. It they're,
afraid even after losing a, child they're afraid to talk
about it because the stiga. Stigma oh my, god my kid,
overdose and it's not an, overdose it's a. Poisoning SO
i made that very clear WHEN i got it with
(21:16):
some of the parents that this is a. Poisoning my
son bought a press pill that was like. Backwards he
did not, know and he had. Plans he didn't intend
to do this to. Himself he never would have let
me find him like, that and he had nothing else
on his.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Phone so we need to get over the.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Stigma we need to. Educate we also need to HAVE i,
mean this is a huge. Thing we need to have narcan.
Everywhere we keep.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
It but here's the. Problem we have it on our job.
Sites we have it on our trucks because we're in
construction Right the drugs are getting stronger and, stronger and
what we have now isn't always strong. Enough so now
we get a double door, shut a.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Double, dose, okay a triple dose it and sometimes it's
not a more.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Powerful my, Daughter samantha does not go anywhere without having
in a truck right. Now that girl's never done a
shadow kick with going to those rave parties and do an.
Exit you can't even do that. Anymore that was at
least ten years. Ago thank, god never done a line of. Coke.
Her she's a pretty, straight, straight straight. Kid the other
one makes me nervous because they all go, out they're
(22:23):
drinking and they'll, say, yeah we do a bump of
coke here and the. Air, Right, really you all know
you can, die. Right they don't think it's gonna.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Happen they don't think it's gonna happen to. Them and
that's the freaking. Problem they just don't. Think and that's
what we need to try to. Change but we also need, to,
like we need to reel this. In we need to
we need to Make Social, company the media. Accountable But,
andrew we're in third, segment, right third.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Right andrew said something that's very. True the embarrassment is a. Statement.
Right so when my brother passed and they couldn't even
call an. Overdose one line of Was bailly in his,
blood it was easy for my mom and dad to
say he had an, aneurism, right because who wants to.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Like ten people you died correct and died drug?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Correct? Right so that stigma is that you feel that
you are have been, defeated that you feel you weren't
a good. Parent. Right and then remember she mentioned earlier
the what. Ifs it's the same thing WHEN i lived
with for to this. Day what IF i just went
by his house he wasn't answering the. Phone we're having a.
(23:34):
Cookout but you, Know craig was a type of. Kid
i'm scrabbing a, Date i'm going out And i'll be
at my sisters. Later we he didn't show up that,
night and he showed up every. Night see he was
a baby and would do her feedings and were. Rocker
and WHEN i woke up in the, morning he wasn't.
THERE i. KNEW i went, RIGHT i. Knew you just.
Know you don't know what you, Know you just, WELL
(23:56):
i don't, KNOW i just know certain. Things but she's,
true and she said off the, stigma right like and
then people gossip and yippy y, happy. Right AND i
remember When andrea's son. DIED i got a phone call
From sumby and, said did you Hear andrea lost her.
Son i'm, like YES i, Did and she was, like,
(24:17):
yeah have enough you, know something to do with and
you know. DRUGS i, went, oh hold on, here don't
ever call my phone. Again you're her, Friend i'm her.
Friend all we're supposed to do is don't ask any
questions and just support her and be there for. Her,
okay you ever called me again and you tell me
(24:41):
how WHAT wea kid just. DIED i don't even know
he got ad An injurians put at a, stroke you
could add. Anything at that, age you can still have
an urism and. DIE i mean that's, true but when
you start with, that, oh he must have died from,
Drugs i'm the last person you want to call and
say that, too, right Because i'm not jumping on. That
my answer Was i'm hanging up the phone right now
(25:01):
BECAUSE i might come to this phone and really hurt. You,
really why don't you just be there For? Andrea, okay good?
All De andrea told her to get to my. House
let's get you dressed because she. Couldn't, yeah she couldn't.
THINK i couldn't even see what she's. Wearing she was
so out of, it, Right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
And there's days THAT i wake up and the grief
is like you lose a. Child it's something that you're
not supposed to bear your own, child you're not supposed
to find him LIKE i found. Him and there's times
THAT i go down the rabbit. Hole but lately doing
this and speaking out and trying to help other parents or, children.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
It's been.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Helpful it's been. Helpful SO i, mean this is what
this is my, journey and this is WHAT i plan
on doing for a long.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Time how about other, PARENTS i think this could never
happen to them BECAUSE i live with the fear all
the time that history repeats, itself, Right, yeah in, families
you ever, know his history can. Sometimes SO i was a,
SISTER i don't want to be the, mother, correct, Right
and going, BACK i can see my mom and dad
(26:13):
were never the same, period, Correct so you have different.
Personalities you Have bobby with, you But bobby's not his, father,
Right so it's And bobby loves him like he is his, father.
Right so you're very lucky like. That but when a
father and mother are together and they lose a, child
(26:35):
they're never the, same they're never the, same or they
part ways for a while and come back, together or
they just part ways blame each.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Other there's a lot of, blame you, know there's a
lot of blame out. THERE i, still you, KNOW i would,
have could have should have always in my head or
the other thing THAT i talked to some of the
parents about.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Is what it could have because we do it.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
WHEN i get out of. Bed why not check the?
Show why was it? Right why DID i go To craig's.
HOUSE i knew there was something. Wrong we had a
barbecue going. On IF i just drove, there MAYBE i
could have saved his. Life, Right maybe it would have
been taken a. SEIZURE i don't. Know many can't play.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
That we can't do, it and the only thing we can.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Do we try. It we can do, it but we do.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
It but we got to educate and we got to
change these companies and make them. Accountable and we're doing.
It we're and we won't stop doing.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
It and as you're making these companies, accountable which takes
forever to, do as a, mom and other moms and
dads are listening to you right, now and some are
taking these. Pills some parents are. Still you, KNOW i
watch three guys come out Of Capitol grill and they're
coming out together out of the. BATHROOM i know why
three guys are in the bathroom, together, Right, Yeah And i'm, like,
guys you're six years, old you can blow your hot
(27:47):
sell you guys are, insane but you can't. Stop but
we can't. Stop you can't, Adults we can't, control, right
what can? Parents in your, opinion what do we? Do
start patting them down when they go, out when they come.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Home you got to be, honest and you got to
talk to. Them you got to talk to them and you.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
We can all do. That but they walk out that, Door,
andrew they're a different person.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
And kids are gonna so, Listen LIKE i, said if
they change some of the things on even just let's
just focus On, snapchat ninety of the drug dealers would
lose your job On that's that's how they make. It
so that's what we have to, do is that we
have to hit them in the pockets and we have
to make them pay and we have to. Change they
(28:31):
need to change.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Everything do you think some parents have a hard time
talking to children about, drugs sex and all those? Things?
YEAH i do. Too hold that. Thought you're listening To Cindy,
Snubber Tefa's nails AND. Wbz we'll be right back and
welcome back To TEF's nails ON wbz And I'm, Cindy.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
I'm Jesse, foster and you Are Andrea.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Silvano you know my, Stepdaughter lily, said she is so.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Beautiful NOW i walked out the, DOOR i looked on
my left.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Arras still sits up in the. Air Oh, god okay
me so and with the same. Age, Okay i'm going
to say you're you're younger than.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Me you know, What we're not getting into that right.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Now, Okay i'm going back to.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
FIFTY i feel Like i'm so.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Ancient just this.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Said that you feel as parents have a hard time
talking to the, kids, Right, yeah it's got to. Stop
you gotta talk to your. Kids, yeah you. Do you
have to talk to your. Kids is amazing how sometimes
this has nothing to do with. Drugs this has to
do with good kids can come out of bad, homes
and bad kids can come out of good. Homes, Right
(29:38):
it doesn't, choose it, doesn't it.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Doesn't it does.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Terrifying it is terrifying the one that wants to have
kids some, DAY i don't have.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Children this is a second time. Today, uh because it's a.
Lot it is a, lot but it's Worth what would.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
You say to a parent who thinks this could not
happen to their. CHILD i got. It your.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Delusional your delusional can happen to, anybody and you. Don't
you don't get it until it happens to, you and
your whole world's upside. Down and you wake up and
you say to, yourself you know, what maybe that mammogram
will come back negative, positive BUT i don't give a
crap because you know, What i'll go Visit zachary in.
(30:18):
Heaven and it's a horrible way to. Feel so you
pull yourself out of that hole, again and you do
some more work and you try to, protest and you
against these social media companies because you can go into
a dark place And i've been there WHERE i couldn't
even get out of, bed because grief takes you and
losing a child is, unnatural and especially to a poisoning
(30:43):
and social media, companies let me tell you. This they'll, say,
well why is, this why do we have to do?
This why isn't this your? Job, well what was it
back in the? Sixties there were no seat, belts, right
no seat belts driving your kid around and you're what
are you? Doing you're just sitting in the back of the, car,
(31:04):
Right so whose job was it was it the parents
job to put seatbalts on these. Kids, no it wasn't.
Right so the automotive companies had to, say you know,
what we need to change. This this is what's happening.
Now we need to change social. Media and it's it's
not Just, snapchat It's, meta It's, instagram it's.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
All of the.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Above we need to change it because there's too many
stories THAT i don't even want to go into that they're.
Horrifying and these poor, parents like, myself we just wake
up and we put one foot in front of the
other and the only thing that we can do is,
no eventually we're going to meet our. Child and the
other thing we can do is take on these these,
(31:49):
big these big, companies because they're profiting off our children's.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Death and enough of. It i've had. Enough and you,
know social now you have how the children mm?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Hmm do they feel ever that you spend too much
time on? This they? Understand is any pushback on this
one with? You BECAUSE i remember there's other kids, here.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Right but there are all, adults you, know AND i
DON'T i don't, believe SO i think, that if, ANYTHING
i would hope that they're proud of, me and it's
not an easy thing to. DO i think that everybody
(32:32):
has their own way of dealing with.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
Grief and.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
You, KNOW i don't even THINK i would have jumped
on this IF i weren't on sitting and watching the
news and there was a parent just like, me and
it was the same exact, story AND i, said holy,
shit are you kidding? Me that's my. Story it was two,
percocets it was on snapchat and it was a fetanyl
poisoning AND i, thought oh my, god that's what they
(32:56):
were talking. About and it clicked and it's just, happening
and there's they're, ten, eleven, Twelve, yeah because what they,
do LIKE i, said and there's there's other. Things we
could go on for a long. Time there's there's other.
Things for my eyes, only you can really hide this
stuff from your. Parents SO i, think, okay that my
(33:19):
eyes only is another thing where you can really put,
it like in a, vault so that parents can, say
give me your, PHONE i want to check this. Out
let me see what's going. On and it's like they
can't even get to.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
It so these kids are so smart and hiding.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Things they're so good at THAT i, MEAN i couldn't
EVEN i have a new. iPad i was having trouble
with that today zooming with, somebody you. KNOW i, mean
these kids are so they're they're they're just they're great
with their. Phones they can do so many, things but you,
know they don't think it's going to happen to. Them
or they think that the kid on the playground that
looks so handsome and, cute come meet me at two
(33:55):
o'clock across the, street you, know and then they get
drugged and. Raped they don't think that could happen to.
Them and and as, parents you're, like, yo you're going
across the street to the playground with your, friend, okay
and you don't see them again until it's too.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Late and this is.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Happening and it's not just, that it's it's eating, disorders
it's so many. Things because what it is is you
go into the phone and you. Scroll it's like if
you scrolling A Louis vuitton, bag how Many Louis vuitton
bags shows up in all your social? Media?
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Right? YEAH i THINK i say it to my phone
and starts to come. Up, okay how.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
To be so?
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Skinny and then all of a sudden you do, this
you do, that or the choking. Challenge that's another. One
kids have died from. That there's a choking. Challenge TikTok
shows you how.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
To like you can pass, out AND i did that
WHEN i Was challenge. Twelve now it's like.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
The kids video it to send it to their friends
and there's one girl that had to watch her boyfriend
and it's now they have a new.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
ONE i just.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Heard it's a computer thing you put like water into
your computer and see if it blows.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Up and it's, LIKE i, mean it just sounds like
stop the tie.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Pod we know that kids make stupid decisions and stupid.
Choices so the point, is in my, opinion is Exactly.
NO i know that that sounds crazy and it takes
away their social and BUT i have a lot of
friends that are homeschool and their kids.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Right so much going on.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Them they played the, sports, yeah but they're not in
that school under that peer pressure all.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Day my Son zachary went to at the, time we
were living In dover and it's a very wealthy, town
AND i took him out Of dover because he was
getting picked. On although he was one of the tallest,
kids AND i put him In montessori and he thrived
and to this, day and he stayed. THERE i, know
but it's the kids that are, sweet it's the nice, kids,
Right SO i put them In montessori and he did so.
(35:57):
Well and, yeah and he was just a sweet. Kid
AND i WISH i had kept him In montessori or.
HOME i did homeschool him for a bit when he
was getting picked, on AND i, know third grade to third,
grade SO i took him. OUT i homeschooled.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Him and the kids were picking on a kid from, kid.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Just all these really mean kids From. Dover AND i
went to the. SUPERINTENDENT i got her, fired and OH i.
DID i marched in there because he had a scratch
in his eye and you, know sand and in his,
eye and and what they.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Did more of that picking came on like junior high
school and high.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
SCHOOL i started.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
In it starts when they're, young and there's no, reason
there's no you, know and if you're one of the
nice kids that just, Like, okay.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
By the time this kid was in high, school break your.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Face hey good but and he probably was taller than
all those. Kids but he was just a, sweet sweet,
kids a sweet.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Kid and where was his older? Brother, oh he came.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
To the recess every now and. Then we'd do the
recess and AND. Cj he's like six foot, seven mits
stand there like you. Know and FINALLY i decide between those.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Two so let's, see you're putting me on the.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Spot so zach was twenty one at the. Times joey
and him are a year and a half, apart and
then my oldest two are a year. Apart SO i
HAD i had a little break in. Between but they're all,
great they're all doing. Well we all Miss. Zachary and
But i'll tell you. Something when this, happens it changes
(37:34):
the whole.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
DYNAMIC i want to ask you my last question before
we go off. Again how has this changed your life
since losing? Him?
Speaker 3 (37:42):
Oh i'm JUST i wake up in the morning AND
i think about. HIM i go to bed AND i
think about, him AND i MUST i must say his
name over and, over maybe ten times a, day just
to have him in my. Thoughts and your whole life's
upside down. Everything you never stop thinking about. It And
(38:05):
i'm not afraid of like dying, now as crazy as that,
sounds it's like when the time's Right i'll be, okay.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
They leave a grandchild behind for you and, no, yeah
yeah he.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Did that's another, story another rocket.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Story. Yeah there's always a story behind another, story isn't. It.
Yeah so every day that goes, by.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Every day that goes, by and you can see. It
you see it in the other parents'. Eyes you, know
when we got up there to speak in.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
Front of, you part of you.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Dies Oh i'm part of.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
You JUST i go to his grave AND i just
sit there AND i just talk to, him And i'm
just it's every day bad.
Speaker 1 (38:42):

Watch your kids, smartphones their. iPhones give them flip phones
maybe when they're. SIXTEEN i know that that sounds, crazy
but they're doing everything through their. Phones they're they're they're
too much crap all over their phones and and they
lose themselves in their. Phones helicopter they you have to
(39:17):
be a helicopter. Mom you have to police. Them you
have to look into their stuff and if they don't like,
it it's too. Bad take it.
