Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, and welcome to Connoisseur's Corner. This is Jordan. My
wife Erberta and I recently had a terrific experience with
friends at self Up, offering cooking classes on Kingston Street
in Boston. We took part in the preparation of the
Italian dinner and had a feast afterwards. Self Up also
offers classes in French and Mexican homemade dumplings, a sushi
workshop and more. Gary Gianchetti, with over twenty years experience

(00:24):
as a chef, guided us and talks about the experience.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Well.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
The concept is definitely bringing people together for a fun experience.
We do a lot of team buildings Monday through Friday
with companies and then again public class on the weekends.
We have our French, Italian, tim Sum.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Sushi, Pizzack, New England Seafood.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
We have lots of variety, but it's a fun thing
to do. Come for a couple of hours, learn a
few things. It's not too complicated and it's a lot
about eating and having fun and learning a few things
you can take home as in your home kitchen.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Well, you certainly have the touch. You're a very experienced chef.
You've worked in the North End yourself.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yeah, yeah, I mean those long time. I started working
in restaurants fourteen washing dishes. It was a month on
I school at the CIA Corners of America, New York,
and then when I graduated working north them, I worked
at Press on Carmelina's. I was out in Vegas, California
back and then I was working in Needam at Capella
Restaurant for the last several years. But I've been teaching
now about three and a half years. You meet a
lot of nice people that want to come here and learn.

(01:16):
It's about food, but more bonding and people having a
good time, you know, and we're remembering the experience and
learning a few things of bringing them home.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
So thanks Gary. Self Upcooking classes go to self up
dot com. They're located on Kingston Street in downtown Boston.
Loads of fun self up dot com. This is Jr.
