Hello, and welcome to Connoisur's Corner. This is Jordan Rich
and today we're talking about wine with Ken Hoggins of
Ken'swineguide dot com. It is very much grilling season, Ken,
and I know you have some wonderful suggestions.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
You have a couple of red wines for you. We'll
start with the twenty twenty two Heritage Vines and Fidel
from Dry Creek Vendured thirty dollars or less. It's medium,
body balanced, round mouthwatering, got some tasty black plum and
raspberry flavors. There was some dark chocolate and dried coconut
leaves mixed in. I would say it's flavors in the
cdity drift away nicely. And I put this ninety one

point z in with some marinated grilled steak tips.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Well, we're stoking up the barbecue. Do you have another suggestion?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah. Bob Foley is back with his twenty nineteen The Griffin.
It's a red blend for forty eight dollars. It's basically
Sara based, scored at ninety three plus points, a full body, balanced,
dense and rich. It's very complex. It's a tasty blend
of Australian black licorice flavors, along with some black berry
and birch beer and gentle redcurrent. A really cool mixture

closes with friendly, well managed moderate tannins to drift away nicely.
This wine would pair with most grilled meats off the barbecue,
so find your favorite and pair it up. I personally
would go with barbecue short ribs, but that's just me.
