Speaker 1 (00:00):
Venom is sticking around. D twenty three can D twenty
three can twenty three, D's Nuts Trailers out the wazoo,
Figgy's Holy Trinity, Black Panther, my Man Mufasa, I barely
knew her. I'm supposed to believe this is it Zendeia
(00:24):
and her boy Toy on film, bat malbayl Farcell, bat
Malbail Farcell.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
All of that and so much more. But first, news dump.
I know that you're all expecting a penguin episode, but
that'll be coming at the end of the week because
we need to dive as deep as possible but still
put the episode out at a relevant time. So we
think the end of the week is the best possible solution.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, if you're if you're tuning in for that, just
tune back in in two or three days. We'll be here,
same time, same good channel. So that what we used
to say.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yes, and we're going to save all of our penguin news.
So if you're like, well, well they have any penguin
news and news dump now I don't think we will.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
News dump.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Oh my pe Tony Todd has passed away at the
age of sixty nine. You might know him from candy Man,
The Rock, and The Crow.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah uh. A few iconic roles in his career, specifically
the nineties, probably for our age group I Love Yeah.
Everyone remembers him for candy Man. He's phenomenal in the Rock,
also the bad guy in the Crow. Great actor died
at a very nice age. You know, if you're going
to go out, if you're going to go out at
any age, I don't know why you wouldn't choose this.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
One news dump over the box office this past weekend.
I think we've skipped the last couple because it's just
been Venom, not dominating, just unopposed. So this past week,
Venom did take top spot once again, third straight week,
sixteen million dollars. Has now made one fourteen domestic, almost
four hundred worldwide. Got a couple of newcomers, though, the
(02:06):
best Christmas pageant ever eleven point one million dollars. This
is a PG Christmas movie starring Judy Greer and Lauren
Graham and then Heredic that does have a little bit
of buzz, made eleven million over the weekend. This is
an a twenty four horror movie starring Hugh Grant.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah, I don't like the way you said, heretic. How
did I say that one heredic?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Heretic?
Speaker 1 (02:32):
You'd pronounced the T like a D that he cared
for that?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Which does that?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Does happen in English? Sometimes?
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, don't. I don't know. I don't This best Christmas
pageant ever movie. I've never heard of, this, never seen
it was fake. Where did this come from?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
No idea?
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Because when I did a little research, Well, first off,
when I saw the name, I'm like, is this faith based?
And then I saw Judy Greer. Okay, it's a Judi
Greer comedy PG. Good, give her some money.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I gotta say too, the all time like underrated wood types,
Judy Green, Long Graham, Alzheimer's.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, I said, I think I told you at the
last trivia that I believe Judy Greer is the Wayne
Knight of our current time.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah. I didn't know how to take that in. Didn't
know how to take that.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
It's an unsung hero will end up put in the
dirty work.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Sure, yeah, why not?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Also appeared in a Jurassic Park movie.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
But to this coming weekend, I thought Venam might stick
around for a fourth but it looks like Red One
is projected to make somewhere between twenty and forty million,
which surprises me.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
It looks like a fake movie, but it looks like
a one of the best fake movies of all time.
I think the casts will get people to go, I
don't know, it sneaky, could be okay.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
And then I think that Herodic will surge with its
with its good word of mouth. Everyone's calling with the
best horror movie of the year.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, how many best horror movies of the year have
we had so far?
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Come on now, I saw that nos Faratu is the
scariest movie.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Since since the original. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
I kind of blacked out at that point. I'm looking
forward to nos Faratu though I'm reading some reviews. Someone
called it it was something like super scary and then
like oddly sexy.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
All right, yeah, why not?
Speaker 3 (04:24):
News domp hell Over.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
On Disney plus Deadpool and Wolverine is now finally streaming
for free if you have the service.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Still on the mount rushmore of movies this year for
me and I think probably for most people, since it's
still been a relatively weak year.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Let's get over to Brazil. Rio de Janeiro, that's in Brazil, right,
nailed it?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
News, DEMP.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Captain America, Brave New World. We've got a new trailer,
pretty long trailer. The movie is coming out on February fourteenth,
That's Valentine's Day.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
WHOA how about that that?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Huh do you think we're gonna fall in love.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
With this movie? Uh? Cautiously optimistic is how I would.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
My world famous phrase goob is how.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I my response to everything.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I think this trailer makes me more excited than I was.
But I don't think I was excited before. So now
my level of excitement is the meter's going a little
bit where before I was maybe towards empty. This looks promising,
that's for sure. I'm much more excited about the other
trailer we got, but this one is encouraging. We get
(05:39):
Red Hulk, we get Sidewinder the Leader, so there's gonna
be a lot of shit at play. It looks like
it might be a decent little mystery, you know, and
a good little mystery thriller always plays, especially against the
backdrop of the MCU. So this this could be real good.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Stop me if I'm going too far. M this is
the best trailer that we've gotten for this movie so far.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I'll agree there hard agree on that.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
One falcon's got a helmet, he's got nanotech or something.
Don't love that, but you know, everyone has a nanotech.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
That's not great.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I don't know how you don't love that though, because yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Everyone, If everyone has nanotech, then no one has nanotech.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Andy's not a super soldier, so he actually needs it.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Also, lots of wings, lots of flying love that.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Love that. News up Matt.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Trailer for a movie that I don't want to get
too excited about, but I think I am. And that
is Thunderbolts as to Riscus, And in this one we
saw a lot of Bucky.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, it looks like Bucky's gonna be a central part here,
which is good for I think the movie in general,
but for like casual fans of the MCU, because they
know Bucky, they don't maybe really remember and know the
other characters, so that's a positive. I really liked the
use of music in this trailer, and I like that
it seems like Valentina Coundzuela a fucking two point zero
(07:01):
owns this owns Avengers Tower.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
And I'm not a huge fan of them revealing that
in the trailer, though I'd like to I'd like to
find out in the movie that pasta fa bought.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
It Penny vodka. Looks like she has a lot of
fucking power in this in this universe.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
As who looks like a Ravioli.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
David arbor A toasted by the way, how good is
a toasted raf? Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Toasted rav the other day? Uh went to an event.
She had the whole spread out there and UH toasted
ravs big old tray of toasted revs.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
So fucking good, so good. Uh. It looks like Valentina
might be having task masker task mash craft trap. That's
hard to say, task Master already working for her, maybe
out recruiting these members of her pseudo suicide squad, which
is the comparison you like to draw here.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
It's an easy poll suicide squad. It's a lot like
the Guardians of the Galaxy too, even the dialogue of.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Hey, we've all done a lot of bad things I've
heard of that we've heard.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Come on, as we say, always just give us what
we like, you know, play the fans, service us.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Play the hits that.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Got a trailer for What If? Season three and the
final season.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
I'll tell you this, when when we first got the
trailer or the t's for this show, I don't know,
three years.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Ago for season one.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, really promising, cool idea. You and I pretty ignorant
to the what If comic series, and we thought there'd
be so many possibilities, hoping for a lot of one
off stories or maybe two part three part stories. What
they gave us instead was this whole overarching one story
that really flamed out, tremendously disappointing, something we didn't really want,
(08:51):
not something anyone really was hoping for. And I don't know,
And also it's not part of the MCU, and I
hate people keep arguing that it is. Like a lot
of the discourse online is talking about the best.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Part of if it's a part of the MCU. I'm
putting it as the worst.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
It's not part of it. Number one, number two, it's
I don't know. It's been underwhelming, I think is a
word for it. So I'm glad it's coming to an end.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Just every one is story. It's just like one little
change and then most of the stuff is the same,
but the characters.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Just shift really really lazy what ifs. And I know
we've seen some inspiration in the MCU from this show,
but that doesn't make this show canon.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I also hated the fact that I think I only
watched season one that in like three of the episodes
they either made Thanos a moron or they would kill
him so easily. I'm like Phase three, like, you're really
undercutting what you did there.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah, it's I mean, I'll clearly Marvel that's the only
villain they have in the history of Marvel is just Thanos,
So I guess they got to keep using him. News D.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Kevin Figy while D twenty three he gave his three
favorite MCU moments, saying Tony Stark saying I Am iron Man.
Not clear on whether or not that's from Iron Man
one or from Endgame, both pretty good. I prefer Endgame
Black Panther being revealed for the first time. That was
(10:18):
a very good moment there as well, and the Portals
sequence in The Avengers Mac, I ask you, what are
your top three MCU moments?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Great question, KO, glad you asked me. I prefer the
Tony I Am iron Man in Endgame. Yeah, coincides with
his snap sort of ends the whole Infinity snap. Uh,
you know, I like I like Figgy pointing out that
that black panther see in Civil War. That was a
(10:51):
nice little scene. Uh, And of course he brings up
Endgame to me. The scene in Endgame Goo is when
Cap wields millnear That was.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
I don't know if they'll ever be another pop as
poppy as that in the theater like that was such
an amazing experience. Of course portals was great, but when
he wields Millnier, whole other level. If I've never experienced
like that, anything like that in the theater, I don't
know if I ever will again. And then the third,
which actually might be number one in all of the MSU,
(11:20):
I would say, and this is maybe cheating thor landing
in Wakanda and the ensuing I don't know ten minutes
that ends with Fantos's snap. That whole sequence was peak
that ten to twenty minutes of cinema. Come.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
My favorite moment in the MCU is Infinity War.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Okay, good, let's hear your top three.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Top three three, Mac, I'm glad you asked you. Cap
wields Milnor really is when you're in the theaters, especially
around other people, You're like, is everyone else seeing this?
Am I the only one Thor and Wakanda. I think
him touching down is the best, but also I do
love should have went for the head. That's a great
part of that movie as well.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Well.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
The Hydra reveal in Winter Soldier is really a turning
point in the MCU in such a cool moment. Cap
and Bucky versus Iron Man in Civil War is my
favorite fight scene, the only one where I actually feel
like everyone hates each other.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Yeah, you like that one. You like that one a
lot more than I.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Do, Banner saying I'm always angry and Avengers setting the
tone for that character. The Battle on Titan, I think
is one of the best at showing off everyone's powers
that are there, magic with the Kick. Speaking of that,
Spider Man showing up in Civil War was great. Thor
on the Bridge might be the best still best screensaver
(12:39):
out of all of the MCU shots. And then we
are groots.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
What a sacrifice news dump? All right, Mac? What else
did Kevin Figgy say?
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yeah, this is our brand new segment called Figy says
that we'll do I don't know. Every time Figgy talks.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Fight he didn't say on the future of the Scarlet,
which Figgy says all I can say is that we're
excited to find out when and how she can come back.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Kevin, You're a fucking liar. You know you know what
she's coming back.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
You know if she's coming back or if she's not
coming back.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yes, you're lying to us your story. Yeah, you're fucking
you're you're fib artist. Figgi the fibber h Foggy says
on when Miles and Morales will be introduced Mius. Miles
will appear the third Spider Verse movie, which is in production.
I hope that shortly after that he can enter the
MCU in live action. I will say when it comes
to Miles, that is the character on the horizon I
(13:38):
am looking forward to most. He's not only do we
all love Spider Man, but I have like because of
Spider Verse, because of the Spider Man video games. I
fucking love Miles Morales. Such a new character to us
and young kids, and he's one of my favorites already.
So I'm really looking forward, do you know.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
I'm really looking forward to maybe we do a podcast
about this is future Marvel characters were the most excited
about on live screen Rogue.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Oh, their take on Rogue will be interesting.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
I think, you know, they kind of drop the ball
with the other X Men, like, I think they might
nail at this time.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Well, because she's like, for lack of a better term,
she's so sexualized in the cartoon and then the live
action one was like just a young girl. Yeah, yeah goo, Yes,
Figgy says, speaking of the X Men will be important
to the MCU after the events of Avengers Secret Wars. Yeah,
no shit, Kevin, we already knew that. Our hope is
(14:32):
that they become important prior to that.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, and that also hopefully allows you to maybe let
go of the past on certain characters.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Yes, fresh start, fresh start, Goo. Figgy says. The MCU's
output for the foreseeable future will be two films in
three series a year, with twenty twenty five being an
exception because all the projects were ready for release. So
this is our new standard, except for when it's not right.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
So two weeks when we do, Figy says again, it
will be completely different.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Good. Yes, Figgy says, in regards to Blade, we're committed
to Blade. We love the character, we love maherschl Ali's
version of him. I could say that character will make
it to the MCU. I don't know what version he's
talking about.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Okay, so he's not telling us that a movie like
a Blade movie, he might punt on the movie and
just do midnight suns with Blade.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
That's that's a developing take and watching to work on
reading between the lines there, Figs.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Between the lines, Mac, I mean, I'm sure they.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Did test shoots. He really fucking smushed me on that one.
I'm sure they did test shoots with the character. But
as far as the MCU goes, all we have is
just one line from the post credit in Eternal so
not great.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yeah, when he said hey, sweet Sword, oh yeah, this swards.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
What did they say at the end?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
I don't know. I don't even remember.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Oh ah, I'll do it myself.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
It was just him cutting up water bottles, all right?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Is that what Fi said?
Speaker 1 (16:10):
That's all fig he said, news Damp.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
You know what Denzel said is that he will star
in Black Panther three. By the way, Denzel Washing, I'm
not talking about another Denzel Denzel Mims, but uh Ryan Award,
that's a better one. Uh Ryan Kogler is currently writing
his role. And this is from the Today Show.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
You just did an incredible job there of combining. He
will star into one word by the way, really you
know you said it, but all is one word he said,
he'll start. Yeah, he'll like Hubil babino.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I'm really looking forward to Denzel in the MCU, especially
with Coogler to writing the role specifically for him. I
think that's like an easy recipe for success.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
So he was talking about it, saying that he at
this point in his acting career, he does want to
go back and you know, do some of the same
characters that he did in the seventies, but he also
wants to in his seventies take on some roles that
he hasn't done in the past.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
All in Undonezo.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Got a little Uh, we didn't get anything beyond when
and Or two is coming out. Oh, they changed the
name of the show, and Or is going to be
called uh and Or a Star Wars story and k
Twoso will be in it.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yeah. So, now, how many Star Wars stories do we have?
We have Solo, we have Rogue one. Is this the
third Star Wars story?
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yeah, I'm gonna need you to have you you haven't
watched and Or still yet?
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Right, I'm getting to it. Okay, I've seen three episodes.
I have to go back and start them over again
because it's been over a year.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
I do that shit all the time. I just need
one listener to be my Jedi guy. And what I
mean by that is when, if and when and or
introduces a Jedi or a lightsaber tweet at me and
I will begin watching the series.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
There's damp.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Moufasa the Lions King. Another long ist trailer. Trailers are
getting longer now, right, like over three minutes, trying to
tell us right, So we get in this one, A
little taste of some music, a little a little something
to nibble on, and that is I can't wait to
be king. A little sprinkle and the trailer reveals exact words.
(18:30):
Scar was the prince, Moufasa the orphan. If this is
true and Mufasa ends up being king over Scar, I'm
team Scar.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
This is bullshit to Fox in the n House, here go.
We lived our whole lives, our whole beings the last
thirty one years thinking that Mufasa was the king of
the castle. Yeah, it turns out he overthrew Scar. I'm
all bored. Listen. If this movie stands at Scar's motivation
as to why he can Mofasa. I might like it.
I might really like it.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
To the point of I'm rooting for Scar to murder Mufasa.
I am rooting for him to destroy Pride Rock.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
The Lion King is gonna have a new spin on
it now when we watch it. Yeah, like that motherfucker Mufasa.
And you know what, now that I'm thinking about it,
that motherfucker Mufosta thinks his shit don't stink the way
he walks around Pride Rock.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
You're right, Also, Scar is not Taca.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Yes, that's that clears that up because we weren't sure
about that.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
I did Google. I said, is Scar Taka? And it's right, No,
Taca is Taca. This movie still does not look very good, though,
because I did the Lions.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
This looks so fucking weird.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
This is what you asked for, Gil, you asked for me.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
As I'm gonna see it. I'm not a hypocrite. It
just does not look good.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
That's fair. That is a fair assessment, news dope.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
And finally we saw a little still of a live
action Stitch from Leelo and Stitch.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
I gotta say, if there's a Disney movie that I've
been treated by a live action it's this one in
part because Leelo's mom might be looking kind of good.
But also this movie I think often gets lost in
the Disney Pixar universe because this and then it's also just.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Passed when like we were really into Disney.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah yeah, and it was pre Incredibles, and I think
it just gets lost in the mixt when you're talking
about great Disney Pixar movies and this is one of them.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
So late Disney two D animation.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
It's not Pixar. No, Okay, well, there you go. That's
why it gets lost.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Also, I hope that you're not listening, and I hope
the dork's not listening. I'm gonna spend all my money
on this at.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
The next draft on Stitch. It's gonna make so much money.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
It's gonna make bookoo bucks.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Yeah, this might make the most out of all the
Disney movies.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
That's gonna make a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
There's doubt.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Let's get the h out of D twenty three and
start taking a look at a movie or a movie
franchise that is bowing out and that is mission impossible.
Slash the Final Wreck. We got a trailer for this
movie and Tom Cruise does smooches underwater.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Yeah, this is a movie that they're making. We can
confirm that the first, well, the sixth one. I believe
this is the seventh one, or is this the eighth one?
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Eighth?
Speaker 1 (21:18):
So the seventh one was titled Dead Reckoning Part One,
which they retitled to Dead Reckoning. This was supposed to
be Dead Reckoning Part two, they retitled The Final Reckoning.
I don't like any of that. I don't like this reckoning.
I like a come up into final you know, decision,
I guess I don't like the titles for these movies.
(21:39):
That last movie was very good. However, it was very good,
it got lost in that Barbenheimer mixed last summer uh
and only ended up making five hundred and sixty seven
million dollars while worldwide. I say only because this next
one GOO has a budget of four hundred million, so
just conservatively, all in that movie is gonna cost six
hundred to seven hundred million, So they're gonna need to
(21:59):
make that to break even, and that is a tall
task if you're telling me the last one only made
five sixty seven, so I don't I am looking forward
to this personally because I love these movies, But I
don't know why they went and spent all that money
on it. And I actually don't even know if this
will be Tom Cruise's last. He says it is, but
I don't know. They tried to backdoor pilot Jeremy Renner
(22:20):
into this, you know, four movies ago, and then Cruise
outlasted him, So I don't I don't know what they're
gonna do.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
So do you think it's reckoning the action or process
of calculating or estimating something?
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Well, that's like I reckon.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Do you think it's a person's view, opinion or judgment?
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Judgment is a good word for reckoning.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
A bill or account or it's settlement.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Judgment, judgment, settlement in that, in that, in that realm.
That's the way they're using it.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Are you sure?
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Positive?
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Also, Tom Cruise said that he would love to hand
the franchise over the next star of this franchise, Glenn Powell,
his top gun Maverick two co host.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
That's what you meant co host for sure. Glenn poul
is a delight. I don't know if i'd like him
in this in this movie?
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Do you think he is too much swag?
Speaker 1 (23:09):
He's almost he's almost like too attractive, you know what
I mean. We run into this issue and we talk
about spies thrillers, like if you're too attractive, you stand out,
and the whole point of a spy is to like
not stand out whatsoever. I think Tom Cruise did a
good enough job of that, because, like, he's obviously an
attractive guy, but he's not like super attractive. He's just
(23:29):
a regular good looking.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
He also lose him in a crowd. He's like five
ft five, and when he's not hiding in a crowd,
he's just running. There's a lot of running in this
trailer too. News Dump. Gladiator two opening on roddy teas
at seventy six percent the older one, the older one,
(23:51):
the original one seventy nine eighty seven on roddy Tea's
this one. Wait, does this one have a sixty seven
on Meta? Or did the original?
Speaker 1 (23:59):
They both do? Oh about that?
Speaker 3 (24:01):
They're the same.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Synergy right there. So I guess if you like the
first one, critics are telling you you'll probably like this one.
As I'm thinking about this in these last few weeks
leading up to this movie comes out in two weekends,
Gladiator Too is a stupid name they could have come
up with, like a way cooer name when you're talking
about like Roman history.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Gladiator, Gladiator again.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Gladiator also Gladiator.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Still, how do you say two in Latin?
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Too glad to eighty er? What is it too glad
to eighty er?
Speaker 3 (24:33):
I hate you two?
Speaker 1 (24:34):
I don't know do uno dos doss Spanish? Duet is Italian?
So probably something like that.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
News dumb.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Zindaia and Tom Holland are set to star in the
next Christopher Nolan movie, being released on July seventeenth, right
around the time twenty twenty six, by the way, right
around the time of Spider Man four, so they could
be doing their own barb zendaimaheima. I didn't like that,
take it back, not gonna use it.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Yeah, try that one next time. Uh, I'm helping. This
movie's titled Hot Juicy Sex and we get to see
these two. Fuck. That'd be nice for us as fans.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
I did like on X when it said that Zendia
and Zendeia Sorry, Zendaya, get it right, Yeah, Zendeia and
Tom Holland to star in Christopher Nolan's next movie. Someone
just wrote, is it Spider Man four? You imagine a
spider Man movie by Christopher Nolan. Be Pretty Sick, Be
Pretty Sick. Ann Hathaway also added in there too, Yeah
it was dupe WALKA two is in developments, so all right, whatever.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Everyone liked that movie, but you and I I don't
know what happened there.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Good.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
We just missed a boat on that one.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Because the first one was not a musical in the
same way that I'm just like the one from the
seventies was not a musical in the same way that
the Chalamee one was.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Goo. As an avid fan of musicals, I thought the
first musical number was fucking atrocious. I turned it off.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
I told you.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
I was in the theater and I slouched in my
chair and said, I've made a huge mistake.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
It's maybe if you make it past the first musical number,
the movie's good. But boy, the first one's terrible.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
News dam but Lle put the wrong r L on
the back of their Wicked Dolls an adult website.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Love That Love that horny fuck? Whoever printed that on there?
Someone knew someone knew about this and didn't tell anyone.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
This is like me back in middle school, being like
I went to white House dot Com.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
I didn't know what it was.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
It's amazing that circa one o two we would be
in the library or the computer lab going to white
House dot com and they didn't know how to block it.
They had no clue how to block it. And then
eventually they're like, oh, we can put up like firewalls
or whatever the fuck to prevent people from going there.
But it used to be just scouts honor not to
go to white House dot com.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Anarchy news dupe. You can now purchase the Tumblr batmobile
from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. Warner Brothers is selling
ten fully functional, but not street legal replicas of the
iconic vehicle at the low low price just in time
(27:21):
for the holiday season of just under three million dollars.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Good you know me. It is my favorite batmobile. I
think it's the most practical batmobile. It looks fucking awesome,
It can like climb walls, and my favorite part about
it is you feel if you feel like scooting a
little faster, you shoot out a little motorcycle off the
off the front of it. So I if I had,
if I had millions of dollars, I'm buying one of these.
And I don't think it would take that much work
(27:46):
to make it street legal, Like you'd have to make
some modifications.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
But I think it'd be pretty tough to make street.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
You need a bumper and some side marries and after that,
I don't know what else. Maybe get rid of the
flames off the back.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
But well, it already doesn't have the turbine on there. Turbine,
So I know that he did some research. I did
a ton of research. Yesterday I had to write.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
I have to. I had to do the story for news.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Does it have the motorcycle that protrudes from the front.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
I didn't see anything on that. I didn't see. If
it could jump roofs, I didn't see, so, like, maybe
it can't, but they didn't tell us that it can't.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Well, I think the roof jumping thing would be if
you have enough runway to get some momentum to jump roofs.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Yes, I probably need the turbine, right.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Yeah, I guess maybe it would, so maybe it can't.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah, does it come in black? Yeah, it's a fucking batmobile, dude,
of whorse, it comes in black. News DUHP Superman trailer
is just around the corner.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
We did it.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
That's it. We've been working eight years.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Not only like let's let's end this show like this episode,
let's end the podcast.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
We did it, but a moment, what time to be alive?
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Well that was great, That's what a day. Wow.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
The trailers on James guns Hard dry by the Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
This motherfucker gun telling us like the trailers ready, just
not sure what I'm gonna drop it. I feel like
we're not gonna get it to the super Bowl probably right.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yeah. Yeah, News Dump.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Abbott Elementary will have the It's Always Sonny in Philadelphia
crossover events.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Coming up on January eighth on ABC.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
I gotta get going on Abbot Elementary. I'm still in
season one. I've enjoyed it so far. It's it's a
good show for sure. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
I want to watch this episode. Yeah, I want to
see what's happening all.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
In news Dump.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Let me use the HBO stuff real quick. Got our
first look at Peacemaker season two. Frank Grillo as Rick
Flagg Senior, basically just the poor man's John Burnhal.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Yeah, it seems like every role Frank Grillo is taken
for the last like ten years is a role that
John Burnhal would be awesome, and he probably turned that
turned down. So that's what that's what it looks like here.
As much as I'm in on guns DCU, I'm kind
of out on him bringing Peacemaker over because this gets confusing,
like that was involved in the first iteration, now it's
(30:14):
still involved. I don't know, my mind can't comprehend that.
I'm I'm a big dumb idiots Dupe.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
I first look at Task, Mac What is Task?
Speaker 1 (30:24):
So Task is from the creator of Mayor Vastown, Brad Inglesby,
and this is the only thing I've asked you to
watch in like four years and you still haven't watched it.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
So watch you never asked me to do that.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Please watch Mayor Vastown. I think it's the best mini
series maybe of the decade. Uh. This series Task follows
in an FBI task force put into a Philadelphia suburb.
So we're going back to Philly to stop a string
of drug house robberies led by an unspecting family man.
That is releasing next year and I'm looking forward to
that because Mayor was so good.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Mount Town Fairley back again. News Dupe got a first
look at Share Company starring Tim Robinson.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
This is going to be the greatest show of all time.
The series will follow a man who finds himself investigating
a far reaching conspiracy after an embarrassing incident at work.
I am really really looking forward to this. Also coming
out twenty twenty five on HBO.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
I was also revealed that Jim Downie, who's a famous
SNL writer, He's been in a bunch of sketches. He
is most famous, I think now for going on Conan
O'Brien's podcast, and whenever ConA would bring Upjeffrey Epstein, he
would say the financier. He's on the show as well.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
That clip is so good.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Yeah, so very excited about that news. Dupe First Dune
Prophecy currently right now on roddy t seventy two percent.
And also IGN, who they know how to rate a
show five out of ten.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Oh boy, so maybe it'll be great. Little I know
we're not talking Penguin, but a little little insight there.
I dug up on my post penguin research. IGN's rating
which they released like two months ago when the show premiered.
They gave Penguin a five out of ten. Don't they
can't get out of their own way? Good Dune Prophecy
I think is taking over that nine pm slot on
(32:25):
Sunday night. I have read that it is not up
to snuff, not the same quality as Villa News two movies,
but it's filling that, you know, nine pm HBO role.
We are in on the Dune universe, so I feel
like we're.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Gonna house Yeah, dunavarse News did and Harry Hotter casting
has begun. This is for the HBO show, Yeah, HBO series.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Which is still probably I don't know, a year and
a half away. Who knows. But according to Variety, British
actor and playwright Mark Rylance is at the top of
the casting wish list for Albus Dumbledore, and that's I
think a very good casting. He's obviously a very notable actor.
If they get Dumbledore right in the Three Kids, I
think this show is going to be success. I'm just curious,
(33:12):
like grand success. I'm just curious how like how the
book material is going to translate over to seasons compared
to movies. Obviously, the movies are very good, I wouldn't
call them great, so there is an opportunity here to
take the Harry Potter stuff to another level.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
News Dip all right, check us out at the end
of the week for the penguin.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
How do you say auto? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
That can't be true. No, that can't be uto.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
At the end of hour, I don't know how to
say hour in.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Italian English to Italian. Let's see, let's see hour or what.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I didn't know that. I didn't know that. It's coming
back to me.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Can you see my screen? How did you know that?
Speaker 1 (33:56):
So I just looked at my phone. I took you
took first of all nine years of Italian in my life,
and I still can't really speak it. I can read it, okay,
I can't really speak it. I can't translate it in
my head. That's the issue. I can't think in Italian.
I took two years of Italian in college, almost minored
in Italian. I didn't tell you what hour was, all.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Right, so check us out then
Speaker 1 (34:20):
Jump
