The site was incredible. A wooden twelve ton railcar, the
type used to transport Jews to concentration camps, is lifted
into the air by a crane in front of a
large crowd and placed on the fourth floor of the
Holocaust Museum, still under construction.

When I walked up this morning to see this railcar
sitting right here kind of took my breath away.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
State Senator Becca Raush's grandfather was a Holocaust survivor.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
It's extremely powerful. I didn't quite know what to expect
because it is part of my community's history as a Jew,
and also my personal history within my family.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Once the museum is complete, the railcar will be able
to be seen from the streets.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
It is a constant reminder that hatred and bigotry should
never be part of our society.
