Speaker 1 (00:00):
The town of Canton has released the findings of an
independent audit into how their police department handled the investigation
into Boston Police officer John O'Keeffe's death. The report found
that the first responding officer should have photographed O'Keefe's body
at the location of where he was found. It goes
on to say interviews of critical witnesses like Jennifer McCabe
and Carrie Roberts should have been conducted at the police department,

(00:22):
and that Mastery Police and Canton Police should have maintained
a police presence at thirty four Fairview Road pending the
secondary search. Karen Reid is accused of hitting O'Keeffe with
her SUV and leaving him in the snow to die.
She says she's being framed. This audit was ordered by
a town committee after her first trial ended with a mistrial.
A community meeting is set for Saturday at Canton High

(00:42):
to present the findings and recommendations to the public. Brooke
