People suffering from addiction or mental health issues often feel
helpless and don't know where to turn.

A recovery coach is a peer.

C to Our program director Alan Meister says, a recovery
coach helps them discover what they can do, guiding and
supporting them along the way.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
They're going to provide emotional and social supports. They may
take them to a meeting, get them set up with
things like that, whatever they need to access their recovery.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
But the coach, he says, treats them as individuals, recognizing
there are multiple paths to recovery.

For some people, AA might work.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
For someone else, it might be yoga and meditation, and
we can help get connected to all of these different
types of resources.
