The free outdoor public skating rink is back in Quincy
for its second holiday season, this time across from Quincy
District Courthouse.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
So the rink is a little bigger this year. In
the tents a little bit bigger as well.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Chris Rooney, the director of Recreation, expects it to be
an even bigger hit this year.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
We're right in the heart of Quincy Center, by all
our restaurants in our shops, so we hope that people
will come skate and then visit our restaurant shops and
enjoy the holiday season down here.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
I caught up with Jesse and his son Gabriel here.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
We came last year, and so this year we wanted
to do it again, so we were kind of following
it and driving by it every day.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Little Gabriel told me about his favorite thing to do
on the ice.

Letting go of the on ice, skate, letting go.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
Of the wall and ice skating. Do you skate very
fast or are you slow?
