This is about two hundred of our colleagues here in
the legislature wearing our red.

Massachusetts State Senator and the Senate co chair for the
Women's Legislative Caucus, Robin Kennedy, has a red scarf on
for the annual Go Red event.

It's about raising awareness about cardiovascular health, making sure that
we're not only raising awareness, but that we're investing in research,
in science and funding to make sure that we're supporting
treatment and cures.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
She says. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death
in women, and with February being American Heart Month, they
want to raise awareness and highlight the importance of women's
heart health.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Historically, we've seen not only disparities when it comes to
women's health, but particularly for women of color, and so
raising awareness and talking about that is the first step
at the state House.
