in the future without learning about the past.

Rabbi Idon Irelander of Congregation Ahabaud Olam in North Andover
is learning that firsthand, as his synagogue seems antique. Sacred
objects from a neighboring community going under Congregation Andre Shalom
was around in Lawrence for more than one hundred years
before closing, but those old relics had nowhere to go.

He showed me around, pointing out ritual silver from way back.
Also in a new home here several century old tourist
scrolls that the community is now using.

much history this thing has.

The rabbi says, this is what Judaism is all about,
keeping history alive. As time marches forward.
