Rebecca Webster of Salem, New Hampshire, was inspired by those
library sharing boxes you sometimes see in people's yards.

I just wanted to do some sort of spin on it,
and so I thought that, like I could give goods
and things and stuff is what I call it.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Her husband went to work and built her a community cart.
They set it out in their front yard on Granite Avenue,
fully stocked.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Just looked at some things I had, and you just
thought that maybe I could recycle, so to speak. You know,
it might be a treasure to somebody else, and I'm
not using it that much things for around the house.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Some people leave behind a money donation when they take something,
but they don't have to. All the money rais goes
to the Salem Animal Rescue League.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
People have left notes thanking me and just saying it's
just a wonderful community outreach.
