Speaker 1 (00:00):
There's boys in this house for glim boys in this house.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Crazy boys in this house, for blim boys in this house.
There's two boys in this house for blin boys. In
this house, crazy boys in this house for glim boys
in this house.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Boys, It's Brooker Boys, Episode number three, seventy seven.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I'm Scary Jones, I'm.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
David Brody And that was that was That was our
backup jingle. I'm wondering if people will get like thrown
or they'll be like they'll miss the other jingle.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Yeah, I don't know if I like that intro to
a show.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
It was your I think that one was your idea.
It might have been, but because you knew the original
song better than I did, sometimes did the parody.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah. Sometimes it's best to not.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Answer my own callings in my head for.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
For bright ideas.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, that was Yeah, that that one just kind of
fell flat for me because you know the other you know,
the introduction we usually do, you know, to weed them boys,
and the one do we do when we come back
from a long vacation. You know, the boys are back
in town. Those have energy, those have life. There's excitement there. Yeah,

(01:16):
that's like anticipation of what's going to come next? This
one here just like goes over like a wet fart,
like a lead balloon. I would not have picked this
as a song, but you were like, oh it fits,
so we did it. I don't love it all right,
I mean we start over now, or if you're already

(01:38):
leaving us a talk back, you want to throw in
your comment on if you hate that or like it
or change of pace. I mean, we definitely scared some people.
They're like, what what what is this? I mean, I mean,
if you want to do over, I'll play terribly. Here's
the thing. Here's the thing. If you've listened long enough,
you've heard that jingle before, and if you're new to
the podcast, you may not be attached to the one

(01:58):
we usually play.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
So yeah, that was And in case you didn't know,
that was to Wop by Cardi B.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
We didn't boy it was there's two boys in this
what's the original lyrics? It's oh, oh did there's some
hoes in this house? Oh so we're the hole. We
changed hose to boys. There's some hoes in this house.
I mean that was a song on its own back
in the eighties and nineties. Right, there's some hoes in

(02:26):
this house in the nineties. But then then Cardi b
did a remix of that, so we did a gender
change on that. Does that make us uh?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I guess no, there's two bros in this house. That's good.
Oh well we changed it to boys. It would have
made more sense lyrically.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, but we're not bros.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
There's two bros in this house. There's two.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
We're not bros. We're boys. We are at the Brooklyn Bros.
We are bros. We were bros this weekend. I actually
got to come over your your place. You invited me
into your place of residence, which is wild.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Well I didn't give Scary the tour that he gave me,
so let well let's start there. So Scary never wants
to drive to where I live because it's like forty
minutes away. And I was like, yeah, come to my place. Yeah,
come to my place. Well, but if you came to
my place, you there's a lot more action going on
in my part of the.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
World, really, because I have parking you don't.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, but if I go to your place, I'm going
to a place of high concentration, high density intensity and
live in the middle of a city. What are you
talking about.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Right to less action. I'm saying, I'm going from here
to there.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yes, but I have I have an outdoor pool and
you do not, you know, well.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Not that you've invited me into it.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
I se you know know. Okay, let's let's let's touch
on that slices. I said to Scary, I go, you know,
listen to the pool is open on the weekends right now,
you know, the open full time in a couple of weeks.
You're welcome to come any time. And he went, it's
a long trip, that's what he said to me. He's like, uh,
I'll find something closer. So all you people had said
invite Scary into your pool and vite scar even when

(04:03):
I had it. When I had it, listen, I am
not much further away from Scary as I was when
I had an in ground heated pool at my house
before we sold the house. Right So, if he's not
coming here, he wasn't coming there. So don't don't feel
bad that I didn't invite him into my pool. He's
never coming. The only time Scary goes west is when

(04:23):
he's flying to Vegas. That's it.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
That's when he goes west. That's why I go west.
You're right way too well.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I see you weren't coming here, but you said you
say went too well. So no, no song, now, no
no band. I'm is it too early to play audio?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
No, it's never too early. Let let's just just jump
right into it. Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
So you know, if you've listened to the podcast, you
know Scary and I play a game where if one
of us mentions this song lyric, we acknowledge them as
the singer and go like, okay, grateful Dad, Okay, Taylor Swift, okay,
at sheeron whatever. So I had this has been going
on for years, off before we even started the podcast.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
This kid is going on.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Everybody at the radio station did it? It's all yeah, everybody,
So okay. So I'm listening to the news. I'm flipping
around radio stations in my car, and I hear a
newscaster talking to a guy and he's like, well, you
never have me on, And she says, well, if you
did more research, I have you on more. So I
want you to hear the conversation, and then I wonder

(05:27):
if they listen to our podcast.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
He is a law profess and he's a smart man.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's why we have him on.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Maybe if you did some preps too.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
He kind of regular on this show.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Okay, one Direction, Story of my life. That's funny.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
She's playing the game, so it's not just us, he said,
in an innocent sentence, story of my life. And she's like, oh,
one Direction. It's catching on. I think we're I think
cable news people are listening to it.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Scary. I don't know, but.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I don't know how I feel about what I just did.
You ever know you do what you never you ever
know you're doing something wrong and you don't do anything
wrong or doing something and you're making a bad decision,
but you go through it anyway out of desperation. Yes,
in my life, sure, yeah, yeah, well that happened to
me about an hour ago.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
About it. Most would say that would be a great decision.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
What you're talking about, willis I will tell you that
last week at this time, I went out for some
Chinese food with my boy Will and.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
I.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Obviously, because I'm taking these orderly meds, the g LP ones,
I I don't I take all my food home. I
eat a little bit and then I take it home
and I use for leftovers. But we had a good
time for me to treat you with dinner. The week
got away so that those went from the table at

(07:12):
the restaurant, wrapped it up, and within fifteen minutes they
were in the back of my refrigerator just chilling. So
as things do it a refrigerating I'm out of Well, yeah,
it was chilling even more than most food because it
was in the back of the refrigerator. It was like
almost you know, the back of the refrigerator is what
you get your coldest the coldest part of the fridge.

(07:33):
I don't, I don't if that's the case. That is
definitely the case, There's no doubt about it. The temperature
in the back of your fridge is at least seven
eight degrees cooler than the door of your fridge where
you keep your eggs and your butter and stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Facts. I'm spitting facts.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Well, the door is definitely warmer because you're constantly opening
the door. I don't know about seven to the front,
but the front to the back, I think about a
there's a good have an eight degrees either way back
to the front, back to the front, front to the back.
So just shortly before this podcast, I'm like, shit, I'm
not gonna have time to take out food because by
the time it gets here, we're gonna have to start recording.

(08:14):
I didn't want to walk down to the store. And
then I look in the back of my fridge. I'm like, oh, weak,
old Chinese food.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
I'm like, oh so good.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I'm like, fuck it. So I knewke the hell out
of it. It's pronounce cat.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Oh thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
No, No, I didn't have any food cat. I didn't
have any fukuh. And it wasn't it wasn't Thai food.
It was Chinese. It was you know, typical Cantonese, your favorite,
and it was like it was it was also it
was it was there were fresh noodles at the time
with beef in them, and.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
You would have liked this dish.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
There was no monkey fresh noodles are stupid fresh noodles. Well,
they might have had some funk on them, and that's
why I'm a little concerned. So I said, you know what,
fuck it monkey cold noodles.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
So I threw him in the microwave and and I
sat down to eat. And then I said, literally, after
I eat one dumpling, because I had some pan fried
dumplings in there, I said, maybe I better not eat this.
I see a lot going online when it comes to
Chinese food and especially rice growing bacteria after just a

(09:23):
day or two in the refrigerator.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
You're not supposed to eat white rice. You're not supposed
to eat white rice.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
After let it go, like five six days after Okay,
So I started going down a rabbit hole, and I
started talking to chat Chat GBT told me I wouldn't
do that if I were you. There was usually he
agrees with everything I say. In this case, he vehemently disagreed.
He said, nah, after three four days, you're done, and
with rice even less seven days you can still. You'll

(09:54):
eat the food and it'll taste good, but basically you'll
start you'll you'll you cannot taste the type of bacteria
that grows on it. And you can't tell me that
you're gonna burn the bat bacteria out of there. You're
gonna you're gonna nuke it, You're gonna destroy it. It's
gonna be heat it up and it's gonna be killed.
There are certain heat toxic bacterias that stay stable.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
When you put it in the microwave.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
So Brody pronounced pronounced so so general.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
So I got it. Yeah, so brody.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
So after eating one dumpling and getting freaked out from
chat Chatchpt told me to throw it away, I threw
away the entire container because chat Chypt told you, yeah
you you dumped the dumplings. I dumped the rest of
the dumplings and the noodles, and and and the beef,
the beef, the beef noodles. Oh no, yeah, yeah, it

(10:52):
was so good. I'm so upset, but I did it.
And I'm sitting here thinking to myself, what's for a second,
and if I eat it? And then I'm thinking, like,
if I eat this whole thing, I get a food
poisoning in an hour. So I cut my losses at
one dumpling and the rest eighty sixty.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Did I make the right decision? Okay?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Uh I I have white rice in my refrigerator. I
just checked nine days.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Dude, throw that shit away, man, do not eat that.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Yeah, now I'm having second thoughts. Now I don't know
about this one or two days. Nah, even they say
it can grow bacteria overnight. You're not supposed to even read.
You're not even supposed to eat white rice again, Like
that's it, it's you eat it. There and then you're out.
Now you can they say fried rice? Maybe you get

(11:46):
it waited with a couple of days. Yah, three to
five days. Everything is three to five days, all leftover
fried rice five to seven days? But yeah, seven days
on the fucking h I can't do seven days. We're
going on eight of these noodles being in my refrigerator,
so threw it away?

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Was that wasteful? Do people eat? You know?

Speaker 1 (12:08):
I went on I did go on a Reddit thread
and and of course there were naysayers on Reddit saying
it's all a bunch of bullshit, you know, But I
don't know. I don't know if I fucked up or not.
But man, I'm hungry right now. It's all I can
tell you. I had one dumpling for dinner and then
I tossed it and we came on the air. So
do you know how long a story of a girl lasted?
The refrigerator?

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Nine days? Nine days?

Speaker 1 (12:33):
The nine days my Boys podcast? And if you didn't know,
now you know, you still might not know. People did
not get that last reference. That was the kind of
that was a little I would say that was a little. Uh,
there was two thousand, wasn't it obscure for some people.

(12:54):
Nobody knows.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Nobody knows.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
The group who sang the song Okay. Nine Days was
a group in two thousand to two thousand and two.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Roughly.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
They had one album that was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
And one hit. One.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Our senior vice president of programming and I'm not gonna
mention his name at the time, said there were four
number one hits on the album. It was gonna be
the biggest album of the year, huge success for this band.
And I believe them because there's four or five songs
on an album that should have been number one hits.
And there were two singles that one that was the
story of a girl. Maybe it was number one, top

(13:29):
ten whatever, number one that was a number one song.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Great, So this is a story and I knew the
singer the story of it. I had written something for
him to sing and I had his phone number at
the time. Anyway, great band, all right, Uh. I wanted
to talk real quick about people. So I'm in a
couple of Facebook groups. You know that I've talked about
Facebook before, and sometimes the groups, either the group admins

(13:59):
will post the same thing over and over again, or
there's people and I don't know what they get out
of it, but there tends to be people. And if
you're on Facebook, you'll know with very unusual names. You
know what, a lot of vowels in a row. Yes,
very unusual names. Okay, qqz whatever. Anyway, somebody keeps posting

(14:20):
this in the I grew up in the Brooklyn uh
Facebook page? Right, I grew up in Brooklyn in the
eighties or whatever it is. I'm in a bunch of them,
but there's one. Somebody keeps posting this and scary. What
would your response be to this?

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Slices?

Speaker 1 (14:35):
I want you to think about what your response would be. Hey, guys,
anyone remember back in the day when they used to
make a chunky bar.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
What? Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Well, so okay, I mean, okay.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
The whole comment. Oh, I used to buy those a
lot of time. I love those. It was peanuts and
chocolate covered raisins. Oh my god, I loved them. They
were little squares and you can break them up in
the smallest I love them. Oh it flashed back to
my childhood. God, I missed the chunky bar man. Oh
my god. Yeah, now I'm thinking about it. I wish
they could get one. And all the posts are reminiscing

(15:11):
about the chunky bar. You see a problem with that, Scary,
I see.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
A major problem with that.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
The slices. Do you see the problem? I think every
couple of weeks someone puts up the same I didn't
even remember the chunky bar, and then all the comments
come in, Oh what I wouldn't give for a chunky bar? Right,
what's the problem, Scary?

Speaker 3 (15:28):
The problem is they.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Still manufacture chunky bars. They never they never stopped making them. Yes,
you go into CBS, Dad, they are at the register.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
They're right there in front of you. Mark.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
You could buy like a strip of them like they
now come in like the king size where you get like.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Three or four of them in a row.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
You can go on Amazon and buy them now. Look
just because you your supermarket doesn't have them? Does like
if you miss them, wouldn't you google it? Well? You
would think, I mean, it took the time to make
the post on a computer that they're on right now.
Can they just launch a secondary window and google keep people?
Oh my god, I love those. I used to get

(16:03):
them after school. Ah, you love them so much? You
don't know they still make them. Okay, See this is
the spot where I would use the R word. You can't,
all right, So here's there's two, there's one more, and
then I have a riddle for you. There's a rock
group that I belong to, a rock FanBook group, a
Facebook group, and every other week, maybe every three weeks,

(16:26):
but seems like every other week they post a meme.
For those who don't know what a meme is, it's
usually a picture of something and white lettering with a
with a with a slogan or a catchphrase, And every
couple of weeks they post the same meme with a
classic rock guy saying I don't believe politics should that

(16:49):
rock musicians shouldn't talk politics, and you shouldn't talk politics
at concerts. Okay, that's the meme. I want to go
on record here now, slices. I'm not asking for feedback
on that because it's a heated topic and I that's
not why I'm bringing it up. The point is that
Rocker didn't say it. If you google it, it's he
didn't say it. That Rocker actually talks politics in concert. Now,

(17:11):
there are those who go to concerts and don't want
to hear politics.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
That's me.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
There are some people who go to concerts knowing that's
a band that speaks politics. That's a band that is
a punk band. All their lyrics are about rock, about politics,
Rock the Vote, You Two, You Too is a global
politically motivated. They raise money for charities and clean water.
There's a lot of things they believe in and they

(17:35):
feel their platform. If you go into a show, expect
it now again. I don't want to debate that, please,
I do not. My point is the guy didn't say it,
and every two weeks everyone has the same argument. I
agree with him, no politics. Oh yeah, what if the
guy you like? And they mentioned guys who they think
they like and they go and then people are like, well,
rock music has always been political. It was anti Vietnam war.

(17:58):
It's always been like a statement music. And the same
people curse each other and fight and fight and fight, right,
and then two weeks later they put up the same
meme as if it wasn't up two weeks earlier, and
people have the same fights and the sat It's just ridiculous.
So there's no group admins, And I'm wondering, slices, is
there a group that you're in on Facebook where people

(18:18):
keep posting the same Let's start an argument. Yes, someone
told me about this. Someone told me that you yep,
somebody somebody told me.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
All right, killers that's good. I caught myself on that one.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
No, there's this fan group apparently that the for Elvis
Durant show fans, not the Elvis duran Facebook page, but
the fandom and the fandom page. And sometimes somebody will
DM me and they'll say, hey, they're talking about you
in there, they're asking questions, and I'm like, that's great.

(18:54):
I'm like, I'm I'm not in there. That's awesome. Let
them have their time and space, no offense. I love
all of our listeners. But one of the recurring posts
in that book every second week is why do they
get so much vacation time? So apparently people say they're
on vacation again really and apparently it's like, uh, they

(19:17):
they're on vacation more more times than they work, or
something to that effect.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
I don't know that's true for more No.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
So, yeah, so that's one of those. And and and
apparently they post as if that's never been said before
or they haven't explored this topic before. But allegedly every
time we go on vacation, that post that's not this
something is happening that's triggering it. I'm talking about Facebook

(19:45):
posts in a group that just resurface every couple of
weeks because they know everyone's gonna fight about it. Well,
that could be some you know, someone wants it, wants
to stir the pot a little bit.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
They throw some rage bit out there.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
And they go unpopular opinion, but this help him by
this band it sucks and they just step back and
watch everybody fight.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Right.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Rage bait where people We've talked about that on this
podcast podcast, where food influencers would purposefully mispronounce the name
of a food just to get rage and just to
get comments and just to you know, kind of pushed
it way through the algorithm because I fell for it
because he's a food influencer that I you sent it

(20:26):
to me if someone said to me and he was
reviewing pizza places, so of course people know I love pizza.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Oh we talked about and yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
The guy's like, he's like, oh, I went into Joe's
of Greenwich Village and I got myself a plain cheese slice.
And so I was like, dude, you're not a police
of reviewer in New York if you call it a
cheese slice.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
It's a spice. Speaking of Joe's, I mean, you brought
that up.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
The Sicilians even better than the Round. I'm gonna go
on record it. I don't care who. Well you know,
you may or may not. Well, I wish I would
many times. The Sicilian is epic. The Round is classic.
The Sicilian. Yeah, now I gotta go there.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
So I was on my way back from somewhere, which
is gonna come up in this podcast in a minute. Oh,
you could have brought me some to my house, that
would have been. And I was transferring trains and I'm
walking down. I'm walking down Carmine Street and I'm like,
oh my god, Joe's. And I did something I have
I haven't done a long time, late night eats. Just
jump into a pizza place. And I happened late and

(21:24):
I had a slice from Joe. I stopped and it's
unlike me to do that, really, And next thing you know,
I'm like chowing down on a slice. I walk out
of the place and I did it about face and
I went back in for seconds.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
I needed.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I needed an encore presentation of Joe's so good. There
are three pizza places in Manhattan that If I'm in Manhattan,
I'm not leaving without the pizza. I go to Joe's.
If I'm near the village, I go to Auto Choke
Bacili if I'm near one of their stores, and I
go to Mama's too too. If I'm in the West
Village or or Upper West Side. Yeah, oh my god.
Oh we got to talk, okay, gotcha? Yeah? And I

(22:00):
converted someone to BUCkies this week. You know I love
BUCkies and Chester. No, it's in Chatham or Madison. I
always confused them the next to each other. Either way,
BUCkies Detroit style pizza.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
I interrupted your story.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
No, it's okay, my friend. We used to be the
executive chef for the Mets, one of the executive chefs.
She's she's an actual chef. She's Italian. She loves pizza.
So I said, have you had BUCkies? She says, no,
I haven't. I said, walk, don't, I mean run, don't walk.
I showed her the Instagram post of how it looked,
the pepperoni with the hot honey and the regot the
cheese scoop on top. Three days later, she texts me

(22:36):
and goes, oh my god, you changed my life. Oh
my God life Changingly industry.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Does a slice like that too. But we were you
talking about something.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
When we were talking about Joe's I sidetracked you. You
mentioned Joe the influencer who said who was rage baiting saying, Oh,
I went in for a cheese slice. Yeah, I'm like,
stop it, stop it, you're out. That's not how we
speak in New York. It's just a slice. Why, because
pizza comes with cheese. If it doesn't, then it's then
it gets an adjective in front of it, like caesar, salad,

(23:05):
pizza or whatever. There's this pizza. It's sauce, cheese and bread.
There's a hilarious trend going on now where people put
up a sentence or a question on on the screen
and then there's a list on the screen also of
how to say that sentence mhm in different in different ways,

(23:30):
so it says supportive, anger, humorous, uh, and then the
next one will be or they'll be like Australian accent
or say it with say it like this. So so
people are doing this quote challenge right right right right.
I wanted to do them all angry the fun that
this one is a pissa, and I wanted to play

(23:52):
it for you, but playable to come back.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Okay, is it time to take a break already?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
I guess you're the clock. No, it's not even time.
We just took a break.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
We're in the mix.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Well, I'm hesitant because you're you're taking your your two
hands putting them together, and you're you're making the break
sign like let's go to break and you have to
take a picture. No, I wasn't No, I wasn't sure.
But you are you sure about that?

Speaker 3 (24:22):
You sure about that? Brodie? All right?

Speaker 1 (24:24):
You're throwing me. I thought maybe you wanted to, and
I'm like, it's not time to take a break.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
I'm not gonna take it.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
I did the break symbol because you were like, eh,
so I was like, are you taking a break? Oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
we're not taking a break because I'm I'm I'm going
somewhere with this. So here it is say no no, no, yeah,
I did no all right, Destiny's Child, both of them? Yeah, no, no, no.
It is a song by Deaf Leopard. Is that a

(24:50):
song by Deaf Leopard? Yeah, it's on the High and
Dry album. All right, So here's a challenge and this
is a mother and a daughter. And the question on
the screen is did you shave your bush? Sent is.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
You shaved your bush.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
I'll go first, supportive, that's good, you shaved the bush.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
The second way, shocked, you saved your bush.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
This is.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
You shaved your bush.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
The third way, hold on, you're not kidding this your
your face pomming.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Hold on the third one, disappointed.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
That's terrible acting.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
They're not acting. Hold on the mom you shaved your disappointed?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Hold on one more flirty, flirty, go for it.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
They cracking themselves up. You shaved your Okay, never mind,
you and I are gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Okay, tell us the style that you're about to do,
and then you do it, and then you tell me
what I might not Okay, I laughed my ass off
and I saw that. Maybe it's a visual, but it's
it's I don't know whatever.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
So so you're doing.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
It, well, you do the first what's the first way
to do it? And then you do it supportive, supportive, Okay,
oh you shaved your bush. Okay, by the way, that
that's a better response than when you heard that Cher
was having a baby. Okay, okay, continue, so I'll do supportive, ready, Yeah,

(26:45):
you shaved your bush.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
See what I did there?

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Right?

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Okay? Okay, shocked, shocked you go you shaved your bush?

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Okay, right, you shaved your bush?

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Okay, okay, disappointed.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
You shaved your bush? Ready, disappointed you shaved your bush?

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Flirty? Flirty you flirty? You shaved your bush?

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Okay, ready for flirty? Yes, you shaved your bush.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Okay, continuing along, Let's go to number five. Where are
we at number five? Uh? Angry? You shaved your bush.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
That's the way you responded when Chert told you she
was having a third child.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Okay, keep coming.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Ready, you shaved your bush?

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Right? Scared? Scared? Okay, you shaved your bush.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
See your visual car He put his hands up and
leaned back.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Like this is but but this is God?

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Do it?

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Scared? Okay? Scared? Ready? Yeah, you saved your bush.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Okay, okay, So but you actually see you found it funny?

Speaker 3 (28:22):
I get. I think it's because it's it's visual. You know,
I don't know? Okay, So now accents British.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Okay, oh, hold on, without saying the word governor, do
a British accent.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
You shaved your bush. Okay, go ahead, continue?

Speaker 1 (28:42):
You shaved your bush?

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Country you shaved your bush.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
That's Australian. What are you doing? I don't even know. No,
hold on, you shaved your bush?

Speaker 3 (28:56):
No, god, do country. I can't do it. Y'all shaved
your bush. That's better, New York.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
You shaved your if you shaved your bush.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Hold on, I'm interrupting you. If we go ahead, I
did it. When you shaved your bush, you shoe.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
No, you sh Yeah, that's Australian. Oh wait a minute,
I didn't do mine.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Okay, okay, go to New York.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Real New York can be like you shaved your fucking bush.
That's how New Yorker would say it. You're adding words now,
you're not supposed to do that the challenge. All right,
so New Yorker, you shaved your bush.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Australian you shaved your bush.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
There you go go ahead, right, you shaved your bush?

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Right?

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Yeah, in the outback California. Hmm, that's Difficultfornia accent.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
I wouldn't know where to go with that. You want
to hear how they do do the Californians from SNL Wait,
here's how they did it? Like they're they're wrong with it. California.
Oh many, God, you shaved your bush. That sounds good,
all right, you shaved your bush. Okay, there is a

(30:24):
mother and a daughter. By the way, what a cool mom. Yeah,
she's uh. And then what was the left? California would
be more like Asian?

Speaker 1 (30:36):
That what we're doing California.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Okay, you do California.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
I can't do like the Californians. Take the four oh five.
You shaved your bush.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
There you go. That's that's right, that's.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Shaved your Bush's some cold ones, dude, you shaved your bush.
Let's go, let's go.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Oh you shave you.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Why do you sound like bela Lagostia vampire?

Speaker 3 (30:56):
Whatever you do? Asian? Bollay? Which Asian? You mean Chinese?

Speaker 1 (31:01):
I don't think we should be. I don't well, it
doesn't matter. It was on there Asian. It could be anything.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Yeah, your turn.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Oh you shave your bush.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
That's better. Oh my god, what the fuck are we doing? Anyway?
We got Russian doing Russia. So that was the end
of that. No, No, that was it.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
I mean, but people are doing that. You shave the bush.
You shave the bush anyway, loves shave the bush. And
by the way, it's not just that phrase. People are
doing very funny people. People are taking anything, any question,
something funny, a funny phrase, a statement of question, and
then they're putting it through those lenses checklist. Yeah, all right,

(31:43):
so that's the latest TikTok track. We did a better job.
You think we did your better job than the mom
and day? Oh, come on the way, I acted angry
and surprise and a frightened off. You shaved your bush
and nailed it.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
You nailed it.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Okay, good, I tapped it, I hit it. All right,
we'll be right back now we could take a break. Okay,
all right, podcast we're scary and Brodie, I would like
you to do all those again, except this time you
say you didn't shave your bush.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
How about you having a baby? Stuff? You're having a baby.
You're having him. You're having a baby.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Ready, Robin tells you, and you're like scared you having
a baby?

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Have that?

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Excited you're having a baby. Ah, what if it was
I'm having a baby? Could you do excited?

Speaker 3 (32:44):
We're having a baby.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
You had to stop in the middle. You put your
arms up there.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
I can't do it. I can't do that.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Where were we We're totally throwing off track here. There's
so much we're doing. What have we just came back? Hey, yeah,
I got a story about Elvis. I want to share. Sure,
Now this is really not about Elvis, but it's it's
about the way. At first, I'm gonna tell you the story,
and then you tell me if it's if it's a
believable story. Because I said, that's not believable. Okay, someone

(33:17):
I know invited both of us to a big party
at a mansion okay, further west than I live. So
I was like, scary, he's not gonna want to go.
But all right, So this it's a beautiful, huge mansion
with a moat, like it's a big ass house that
he knew someone who's throwing a party. And he says

(33:37):
to me, can you go? And I couldn't. I couldn't go.
The night of the party, he says, you got to come.
They're gonna have food vendors and there's a apparently the
mansion has a they're bringing in a gelato machine and
Elvis Elvis duran, right, Elvis is going to run the
gelato machine. You should come and have him, have him
make you gelato. So I said, uh, I'm not available

(34:02):
that night. But it sounds like a great time. I
have a prior commitment. But are you sure that Elvis
is gonna be working the gelatto machine? Because scary? What
are the odds that Elvis would go to a party
and work and serve gelato to people?

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Slim to none?

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Right now? I said to him, I go, is this
a charity event? Because for charity Elvis, yeah, hire someone
and pay his own pocket for them to do the No, no, no,
he would actually get behind there. It's about one dred percent.
I've seen Elvis do stuff like that. He would, he would,
So I said, is a charity because that makes total sense.
Elvis would do charity working a heartbeat. And he go, no, no, no,
apparently he's just uh, he's coming to the party and

(34:42):
he volunteered. I said, there's no way.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
There's no shot.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
He's not coming to do manual labor. Now, Elvis did
work in a basket Robbins when he was a kid,
so he does have cold dessert experience. Yes he does,
but that was a while ago. That was at least
ten years ago. I said, so he's not doing it.
Oh no, no, no, you come you'll see. So the party happened,
I could promise you.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
He wasn't there.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
I know how you know? So I said, oh, I
had the party go. He says, oh, it was great.
You should have been there. Yeah, he is. The Only
thing is uh Elvis wasn't there. Yeah what I thought
he was working the gelato machine.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
He says, no.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Uh. It turns out the story was Elvis's friend owns
a gelato truck and he brought the truck.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Truck to the park. Oh, the scream truck. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
By the way, I had the scream truck. Guys, if
you live in any area, who has a scream truck?

Speaker 3 (35:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
If they're only a New Jersey I don't know. We
had a party at the pickleball place last week and
the scream truck was one of the trucks they hired.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Scary.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
I had not a sponsor, but they can. If they
want a sponsor or, just come in to my house.
The vanilla soft serve Scary would reach hiss, you design
your own. I'd reas peanut butter cups in the middle,
more ice cum on top, and in chrucolate. It was
one of the best soft served ice creams I've ever
had in my life. You know what, so I'm have
to be nice to Elvis and get him to hook
me up with his friend, because.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
That's our friend, Eric Murphy. He started scream truck.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Yeah, I didn't want to get into like whatever I did.
But he said gelatto. He didn't say a truck. So
my point is the story started out that it was
a guy with his ice cream truck that sells gelato
and ice cream that is a friend of Elvis's turned
into a machine in the house, and that Elvis himself
would be running the machine. Well, that's the classic game

(36:33):
of telephone, right, high school of phone, high school cafeteria style,
Like you start a story on one end and it
turns out to be totally different by the time it
gets to the other end of the catch correct, But yeah,
I mean I could tell you he wasn't there because
he was in Miami yesterday. It's correct. I heard he
didn't come home. I mean, he's he's a home now,
but like he was on a flight today. But I'm like,

(36:56):
how so I didn't say they told me on Monday.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
I was like, there's no way this is right, but.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Right, And then the guy says to me, you should
you know, it's too bad. You didn't come. He goes,
but Elvis wasn't there. I go, you invited me and
said you gotta calm Elvis is serving gelatto. Let's say
that I first of all, I would have gone if
I could have. But let's say I only went because
I wanted to see Elvis serving gelatto and go up
to Elvis and go, hey, I'll have another gelatto, and
then go, hey, can I get tasted that flavor? Can
I get tasted that flavor and drive him crazy like

(37:22):
I've been.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Known to do.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Uh, but I would have waste he.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
Wouldn't have been there.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
So but yeah, the story got screwed, but I called it.
I said, no, man, I'm sorry, come on, I feel
like I got to I got to say, hey, Elvis. Somehow,
somehow you setting the scream truck over turned turned into
you're gonna be there serving ice cream inside the house.
They must have said Elvis is in charge of the gelatto, right,

(37:49):
That's how it must have happened.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
And by in charge, he got the guy by the way.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
If yeah, and as Brodie said, I will double down
on that one. I will underscore it, highlight it wherever
you want to say. He gotta if you have a
chance to get the scream truck in your neighborhood. Pink
trucks pink, and you make your own combinations and.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
Get get the truck. Get the truck.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
So the ice cream is superior, and and I personally
know that it is a it is a high quality product.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
They don't cut corners. You're getting good.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
It's dense, it's fluffy. The ice cream is soft but dense,
so it's not like, you know, like a marshmallow. Like
it's no, you got me to move for soft served.
Now I didn't need dinner, Brody, I want goddamn dumpling.
Fuck you. All right, Well let's hire the damn scream truck.
Talk t ELEVI us. Maybe he'll work the truck for us.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Sure. Ah, so I told you.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
I mentioned I stopped by Joe's Pizza on the way
home the other night.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Where was I coming back from the Yankee game?

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Oh that's right? You uh you you cross the line?

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
They lose, they lost, But when I was at the stadium,
I felt weird cheering for Cleveland to score. I felt
bad because now I wasn't wearing Cleveland gear or a
Mets hat.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
I wanted to be respectful in the house that I
was in, but I was definitely ruth built, but then
had it rebuilt and then moved.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
It's not really but I sat there and I'm you know,
I was celebrating silently, So.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
Did you did you snicker? Did you like him?

Speaker 3 (39:34):
No?

Speaker 1 (39:34):
But they could tell I wasn't wasn't because first of all,
I had a red shirt on that said Brooklyn across it.
So now it's ambiguous, like is this guy what is he?
He can't be a Cleveland fan he's wearing a Brooklyn shirt.
But uh yeah, no, it whatever. There was some moments,
a moment for the Yankees. Well, everyone was jumping up

(39:56):
out of their seats, high five in each other. I
just sat in my seat, so I was just like
my own business. I got you anyway. But meanwhile, go
New York, Go New York, go. I mean the Knicks, man,
we're not gonna get sportsy. But as the time we
were recording this, they won.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Last night.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
I went on a point god, got injured, came back
out of the locker room with blood on his knee,
scored thirty points, won the game. Jalen Brunson, Jalen bruns
and and and I went Elvis encouraging me to go
off on the air on this.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
Uh, he's go ahead rant about it. I was little,
I was.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
I saw on TikTok earlier that day a montage of
the day that Jalen Brunson signed with I was going
to talk about necks as a free agent, and basically,
so I went on the air and I said, you cowards,
you all you sports commentators out there. In July of
twenty twenty two, after being with the MAVs for four years,

(40:56):
Jalen Brunson signed as a free agent with the New
York Knicks, and every mother a fucking sports commentator from
Steven A. Smith to Chris maddog Russo and a whole
bunch of other.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
Ones that I didn't even know who the fuck they were.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
They they were in a compilation video, one after the
other after the other after the other, just saying, how
was the shittiest thing the knick Knicks could have done?

Speaker 3 (41:17):
Is this all you got? They'll never go anywhere? Who
is this guy?

Speaker 1 (41:20):
He's like the number fifteen pick at best, shitting all
over this kid. And and my god, and I saw this.
When I saw this was like a rage bait video.
When I saw that compilation of all that shit put together,
I was like, it made me go off. So I
went off in my around the room on the radio

(41:43):
on it, and I'm like, yeah, and here we are
in the morning of Game one of the NBA Finals.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
Where are you now?

Speaker 1 (41:49):
You squawk boxing box and fucking commentators, where.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
Are you now? Nobody has shipped to say, I mean, they.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
Attracted their words. I know some of them have apologized.
Some of them have apologized. A bunch of them have
come out and said, hey, listen, at that moment in time,
on paper, it seemed like a decent move. But he
wasn't the greatest point guard. He hadn't shown himself to
be a leader. You can be wrong, So slices, I'm
sure that you guys have made predictions when your sports
team's made trades and you were like, ah, oh, they

(42:19):
gave away the you know, listen, there have been trades.
I'm not gonna get specific, so we'll just keep in
general where the Mets have traded a young prospect right,
a real stud, and they trade him for someone who
comes here and doesn't do well initially oh, they traded
the next Hall of Famer. Oh they got to scrub back.
They don't know what they're doing. They're idiots, they're morons.

(42:40):
And then a year later when the superstar rookie has
no career, he doesn't pan out, he's a big failure,
and the guy they got is a superstar, then you're like, oh, yeah,
I always thought that. Yeah, right, he's start going back
and deleting posts. So it happens to everybody, but you
hope that the experts know better. But you can't predict anything. Now, listen,

(43:02):
the New York Mets. Our team had the third highest,
third highest betting odds to win the World Series. In
other words, it was the Dodgers, I think, the Yankees,
and the Mets with the top three teams to go
to the World Series. The Mets currently are in last place.
You can't account for injuries, you can't get you can't

(43:24):
account for people not playing up to their their abilities.
You could never you can. Only that's why gambling. That's
I always say this, that's why the casinos are so
big and your house is not because the other side
always wins or wins enough times that you don't win enough. Now,
speaking of gambling, I have a question for you, scary slices.
I have a question what would you do in this situation?

(43:45):
All right, City High, thank you. What would you do
if you show me that home kid bet twenty five
hundred dollars and not a kid, a young guy that
twenty five hundred dollars that the San Antonio Spurs would
get to the finals the beginning of the year, threw
down some money. He was like, ah, the odds are

(44:06):
really good if he wins, if they go to the
not win the finals. If they go to the finals,
he wins one point five million. Okay, twenty five hundred dollars,
wins one point five million if they get to the finals.
Before Game six, so after Game five, I think the

(44:29):
Spurs were up three games to two.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
Let's say they were up three games to two.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
He was offered I want to say, five hundred thousand
for his ticket, because it could be worth a million
and a half, it could be worth nothing. He turned
down the five hundred thousand. The whatever team wins game six,
now it's going to Game seven, he's offered seven hundred

(45:02):
thousand dollars. You only paid twenty five hundred for the ticket.
If the Spurs lose, he's got nothing. If the Spurs win,
million five, but someone's offering him seven hundred thousand dollars tickets.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
Take the ticket again, take the money, sell the ticket.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
You would take the seven hundred thousand.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Oh yeah, bail?

Speaker 1 (45:21):
Oh yeah, because that I've gotten close to the goal.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
That's what I've.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
Made, twenty five hundred less than seventy seven hundred thousand. Right,
you can put down twenty five hundred, right and whatever whatever.
You made twenty five hundred dollars less. So you made
seventy six thousand.

Speaker 3 (45:37):
That's good for me. That's good enough for me. I'm alright.
Eight hundred yeah, okay, Yeah, I'm okay.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
Seven hundred and five hundred, whatever it is, yeah, okay,
say five hundred os. So I would have taken a
seven hundred thousand, Yeah I would. I would have drinken down.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
Yeah, would that.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Here's the thing. Now take the seven hundred thousand.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
The Spurs win the next night, you just lost eight
hundred thousand dollars. Are you okay with that?

Speaker 3 (46:03):
Now? Right? I'm not okay with right? Right? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (46:09):
So the only the only way you're happy is if
the spurs undred thousand, so so the vices, what would
you do? Would you take the seven hundred thousand?

Speaker 3 (46:18):
What would you do?

Speaker 1 (46:19):
Or I know, what did you do?

Speaker 2 (46:20):
What?

Speaker 1 (46:21):
What would you do in that situation? But the heart
radio app the talk back microphone button on this episode,
let us know if you would have taken a seven
hundred thousand, Well let it ride for the one point
five million.

Speaker 3 (46:32):
The Brooklyn Boys Podcast.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
We will be right back and suddenly we we're back,
just like that, boom, Yeah, hey you support support our sponsors.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
What.

Speaker 1 (46:42):
Oh, I'm gonna I'm gonna send you a text message
right now because I want you to see something real. Okay,
I like text messages. We're it's like we're passing notes
in class when we shouldn't be.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Let me know when you get it right at the text?

Speaker 1 (46:59):
This a riddle on Facebook, and you will you will?
I mean the answers to this questions were ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (47:06):
What are we doing here? Okay? Scary?

Speaker 1 (47:08):
Yes, talking about millions of dollars? You could only choose one.
There's no strings attached. Don't ask other questions. It's face value. Yep,
someone's gonna give you an amount of money. Do you
take one trillion dollars today, nine million dollars for the
rest of your life every day, nine million a day? Okay,

(47:32):
eight hundred thousand dollars per hour every hour of your life,
every hour eight hundred thousand dollars or two point eight
billion every year.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
I'm taking a trillion dollars today.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
That's your that's your call. So the people who answered
this were like, uh oh, I'm gonna live large. I'll
take the eight hundred thousand dollars every hour. Some people
are like nine million a day, dude, I'll get a
trillion of no time, two point eight billion per year. Okay,
So slices, think about your answer. Do you take a

(48:09):
trillion today and that's it? No more money? Nine million
per day, every single day, eight hundred thousand dollars every
hour of every day. It's eight hundred thousand times twenty
four every day or two point eight billion per year
every year, two point eight billion. Think about your answer.

Speaker 3 (48:29):
I mean, it's a foregone conclusion. Okay.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
If you take okay, if you take nine million a day, yes,
I'll nine million a day for the amount of days
that I'm going to live.

Speaker 3 (48:41):
I'll never even come close to a trillion dollars, you.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Would need to live three hundred and four years and
five months.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
Yep. Okay, I knew this one. That's where this was going.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
If you took two point eight billion a year every year,
I'm still not even touching a trillion dollars. You have
to live three hundred and fifty seven year. So think
about the fact that Elon Musk is about to be
a trillionaire. Okay, think about that. If you took yeah,

(49:11):
eight hundred thousand dollars every hour, yeah, every day, five years,
five point nine four years. That's fifty two thousand, eighty
three hours to get a trillion. Now, if you thought
you were going to live for longer than six years,

(49:32):
than taking the eight hundred thousand dollars per hour, it
pays off. But if you take the trillion, not knowing
how long you live at that point, who needs I mean,
it's a trillion dollars, It's like you're done. Don't need
you don't you don't need a trillion. You don't even
need a billion, I mean, so who can I mean

(49:53):
that's if I had a couple of billion, I'd buy
the METS. I mean, you know, not more billions than that.
I could I could mentally wrap my head around billions
because is you could buy you know, I mean what
trillion dollars? My machine is my pinball machine is tilted
and done.

Speaker 3 (50:08):
Yeah, tilt.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
The only one that makes any sense is take the
trillion or take Now I can imagine the boneheads online set.
That's my question. Oh, let me see. I don't think
I saved the responses, but it was a lot of
people saying, oh, I would take the you know. I
was like, dude, you ban at math? They would they

(50:31):
were taking that, Oh I would take a you know,
I would take two point eight billion a year? Did
the people in the comments? No, I go do Why
wouldn't you take a trillion? It's more money? Because nobody
Because here's the thing, nobody gets it when people say
tax the rich, right, I don't think they understand a
lot of people how much more a billion is than

(50:52):
a million?

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Right.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
It's not one hundred million is a billion. It's a
thousand million is a billion, correct, right? And it's not
one hundred billion to a trillion, it's a thousand billion
to a trillion. So when you hear someone's a billionaire,
you're like, holy shit, they're a billionaire, all.

Speaker 3 (51:13):
Right, Travis, Travis McCoy and Bruno Mars. Yeah, very good.
Somebody can be.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
That means they have a thousand billion dollars. That's a
million millions.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
Yeah, a million millions.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Yeah, you have a million dollars. I've got a million millions.
I mean if I had a million dollars. Okay, Bernegat, ladies.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
You're calling it on yourself. I had to. Okay.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
I love the Brennick. I love Brennick anyway, So there
you got a little riddle I want to throw out there.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
All right, I next on the bougie parade.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
This is actually the lazy parade, not the boogie parade.

Speaker 3 (51:57):
I bought self watering plants. Oh I. And first of all,
clear the decks. I am now a plant, dad. No
you're not. Yes, I am, No, you're not. I bought.
I bought.

Speaker 1 (52:14):
You're a plant. You're a plant, neighbor. You're not a father.
Just because you have kids living in your house, you
have to feed them, and I do, and so these plants.
So I bought two plants and a tree. So the
tree is on its way, the bird of paradise. I

(52:34):
can't wait for that to get here.

Speaker 3 (52:35):
It's big.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Oh of course, you couldn't just buy it like seven
seven eight feet and they're going to live indoors. They
need a little bit of light. And they have this
like side pocket reservoir where you lift the cap and
you just pour a gallon of water in it and
it goes all the way around this circumference of the

(52:56):
It sits in like a well in the sides of
the pots, patented pot, and the roots drink the water
as it needs it. So it's a set it and
forget its situation. It is my ultimate win. Once a month,
once every two months. For the snake. I got a
snake plant in my bedroom. The sneak plant needs every

(53:21):
once every two months. I just got to sit there.
I just got to fill it up once a month,
once every two months, depending on the plant. And it's
a it's literally they're on their own. How great is that?
And my place looks better and these plants are thriving.
I think if you could get a self eating, self

(53:42):
walking dog, you might get one self clean up the
poop like you need a robot. That's what you need.
You can't keep a plant alive nor can you be
bothered thinking about why not just get a cactus? Scary,
get a cactus. They don't need a lot of maintenance.
And this way hop the watered very often they're not
as fine cactus is.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
They're not fun, not as fine.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
What are you gonna go look at my plants? Why
do you just get wax plants? At that point? Because
they they oxidize the air. There's there's health benefits with
a snake plant in my bedroom. Supposed to oxygenate the
room a little bit better. I mean, I don't know,
it's probably nominal. Do you have an oxygenation machine in
your room? No? What's that machine you have in your bedroom?

Speaker 3 (54:29):
Oh? The dice? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (54:30):
What does that do?

Speaker 3 (54:32):
Supposed to be the plan?

Speaker 1 (54:33):
Name?

Speaker 3 (54:33):
Ji?

Speaker 1 (54:34):
Not?

Speaker 3 (54:34):
Okay? Is it? It's supposed to pull the pollutants out
of the air. And what's what are the plants for?
And blow it? Blow it. It recirculates air.

Speaker 1 (54:46):
It takes in the dirty air and it filters it
out into nice beautiful air, pretty air, pretty healthy air,
healthy air. Okay, No, they saw you coming. Yeah, they
so you all right?

Speaker 3 (55:00):
Very good? You know what works?

Speaker 1 (55:02):
No? I said, okay, sure, whatever you want? So scary
Scary put up a video yesterday the day before. It
was a video of his apartment, which I'm pretty sure
he was doing to show off his apartment and his
record player because he was playing maybe the only record
he has that he thought would be cool enough to play. Okay, bullshit,

(55:22):
Hold on, what record were you playing?

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Scary?

Speaker 1 (55:25):
Led Zeppelin four relative one of the old time greatest
albums of all? Of course, why wouldn't I play a
popular album? And that's an original, by the way, that's
an original, that's not a reprint.

Speaker 3 (55:37):
That is the name.

Speaker 1 (55:38):
Three songs on the album, Black Dog, Misty, Mountain Hop
is over the Hills and far Away on there. No,
that's not.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
Babe, I'm Gonna leave you. Nope, okay, oh fuck. The
last song is also No, I don't listen. I have
I also have to create. I have the greatest hits albums,
so they're all mishmashed together.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
But led Zeppelin four, But you played the album? Did
you not play the I mentioned? I told you black
black Dog? What did you in the hospital?

Speaker 2 (56:10):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (56:10):
And and.

Speaker 1 (56:14):
Hold on before you answer that, did you not rock
it out?

Speaker 3 (56:17):
Rock and roll? Rock and roll is on there?

Speaker 1 (56:19):
Did you just put the record on to film it
and then turned it off. No, I listened to the
whole fucking thing. Then how come you can't name that?
That's a perfect album side rock and roll?

Speaker 3 (56:28):
It's been a long time. Sin's a rock and roll.
Oh and the last song is Stairway to Heaven. No,
it's not. Yes, it is not the last song. It's
a last song on side A. Oh, on side A.

Speaker 1 (56:40):
Yes, that's correct.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
Come on, motherfucker, it's led Zeppelin four. What do you
think of? What do you think of? Talking to over here?

Speaker 1 (56:46):
The greatest, most popular, most famous classic rock song of
all time, the number one song on Stairway to Heaven,
and you didn't mention it. I'm tracking through the album
in my head. That that's like saying, oh, I'm a
big feather brooking boys who hosts the show? Oh the
one guy?

Speaker 3 (57:04):
Did I not say the other guy? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (57:09):
Okay, black Dog? Then you have a black dog be
battering you. You said rock and black and black Dog
is the first song on that album, and that is
that is a quintessential classic.

Speaker 3 (57:19):
That's like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
You're almost like the kids that wear rock shirts from
top No, I'm not that's like the Beatles Abbey Road.
These are these are rock classics. Now, I happen to
have a collection of about three hundred fucking four hundred
albums in there, and I've got all the Beatles original albums.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
I got it all.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
And name name abbey Road, an abbey Road. Come Together,
Here Comes the Sun. Came in through the bathroom window.
The in the end, Maxwell's silver hammer window.

Speaker 3 (57:53):
She came in. She came into Maxwell's silver hammer that one.
Come on, listen, it's fucking late at night.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
My brain is mush, don't fuck with me on that.
Here comes the Sun, Come together.

Speaker 3 (58:10):
Come on, come together for a song.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
Something, get you something, something.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
Something.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
That's a George Harrison classic the Beatles. By the way,
one of my all time favorite parodies was a George
Harrison song. It was cruel at the time. But you know,
he sings the song while my guitar, my guitar, gently guitar, guitar.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
Is that on that one? Is that on Abbey Road? No?

Speaker 1 (58:34):
No, but he sings that song. So a story came
out when he died early two thousands, Yeah, right, early
two thousands. He died two thousand and one and two
somewhere on there. Anyway, The guy that was either his
nurse or his manager went up to him as he
was dying the day he died and said, Hey, before

(58:56):
you die, can you sign my guitar?

Speaker 3 (58:59):
Oh? No?

Speaker 1 (59:00):
And so he got George Harrison to sign his guitar.
And so I did a parody called sign my guitar
quickly please.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
That's that's dastardly, David Brod. And I wasn't making fun
of George.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
I was making fun of the guy who was like, Oh, George,
I'm gonna miss you so much. Hey, could you sign this?
Could you imagine.

Speaker 3 (59:24):
Sign my guitar while you sleep?

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (59:31):
Would you do that?

Speaker 1 (59:32):
Is there any celebrity like would you like if we're
that was dying in your arms?

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Would you like? Can we take a selfie?

Speaker 1 (59:37):
This bad karma inaston karma is gonna get you, John Lennon,
we gotta take a break.

Speaker 3 (59:41):
We gotta wipe this Leigh clean.

Speaker 1 (59:42):
This is bad, scary all right? How Manny breaks me
have left?

Speaker 3 (59:49):
This is it? Why do you always ask that question?

Speaker 1 (59:52):
Because I have a rant and I want to make
sure I have time for it. It's right here, baby,
it's right now, center stage now Baddy right now, Jesus,
David Brody, number two, David Brody, I've got a couple
because you are while you're number two. Okay, so scary.
I give you a little taste of this. When you
were at my house, I was at Staples doing an

(01:00:14):
Amazon return. Now slices somewhere else would you be? Well,
you could do it a whole foods, do it at Coals.
There's different places. But I happen to go to Staples. Now,
this particular Staples. I want to paint the picture of
how this store is laid out. The support to the
story when you go to the Amazon desk. Okay, if

(01:00:35):
I was the employee of the Amazon desk and I
was staring at the person doing the returns, if I
were to look to my left, the customer is right.
There's a cash register there because if you don't have
any returns, they have that person help out when the
lines get long and ring people up. Does that make sense, Yes,
they're an auxiliary cashier if they're not taking returns. Now

(01:00:58):
I'm standing on the going up to do an Amazon return.
So the little countertop is right in front of me,
to my right, at the edge of the countertop is
a long rack, the kind that you know you have
to walk around to get to the registers. They have
them in bed Bathroom Beyond, and Nordstrum Rack and all
the schlock stores, Marshals and TJ Max, those low white

(01:01:20):
racks that have shit on them, candy. They want you
to walk around impulsepies. So to get to the actual
cash registers, which are maybe ten more feet to the
right of the auxiliary Amazon cash register, there's four lines
of cashiers at any moment, right, you have to walk

(01:01:40):
around this thirty foot twenty five foot wall of shit.
You go around it, you get to the registers.

Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
Now, when you go around that wall, you can either
go to the registers that are actual registers, or go
to the Amazon or auxiliary in case of emergency register
if they tell you go to that redge, or if
the only cashier is the Amazon return person and that
is that's the only register open, Okay, I've gone there.
Well that's the case, and I have to wait for

(01:02:09):
them to ring people up until I can do my returns.

Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
So I walk in and there's a woman standing at
the counter, a customer, and she's flipping her phone and
she's swiping it. Sheys, I can't find my returns. You
go ahead of me. I said, okay, Now, if you
have a lot of Amazon returns, and I've told you
this before, rather than going in the app and finding
the item, finding the QR code, go to the next item.

(01:02:34):
Before you go in, you get all you're gett a
return code, screenshot it. Go to the next item, return code,
screenshot it. Put all your screenshots in a folder. Then
when it's your turn, you go swipe. There's one swipe,
there's two. Boom, boom, boom.

Speaker 3 (01:02:45):
You're a machine.

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
You're out of there. Okay. So I'm ready to go,
and the cashier is like one of these people they
hired because you know, had to they were available. I
don't know, but they're older and oh hi, I'll be
with you in a second. Okay, June, no problem now,

(01:03:07):
just an oldest slow person. There's no medical problems.

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
So I happen to get there just as she's putting
the last item from the last customer in a box,
because you have to scan it put in a box.
Then you scan the label on the box so that
the machine knows these items are in this box. And
then you see it. So she's got to seal the box,
and she's she's taking the tape and.

Speaker 3 (01:03:29):
She's going, yeah, that's right, and.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
She steals the box. Now she's got to carry the
box around the wall to the stack of boxes. Hold on,
I'll be with you in a minute. And she lifts
the box harm she's gonna die, and she walks the
box over and go and she drops it on the box.
She's making a pile like, okay, here you go. No

(01:03:58):
hold on, sir. Now she's got to build another box.
So she's putting the box together with the flap and
the upside down and the flap and the flap of
the up and then the tape.

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
How did you not lose you? How did you not
lose your shit? Right then and there? For that?

Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Well, so I look at the woman who I look
at the woman who let me go in front of her,
and I go, well, looks like we're both waiting. And
so she's doing the So she does the bottom of
the box. She flips it over and she says, okay,
how can I help you with that? I don't know names,
So I'm gonna I'm gonna refer to people by their

(01:04:38):
race there's one cashier. He's the manager. I've been in
there before. He's I'm gonna call him the manager. A woman,
the Asian woman is carrying a box with a helium
tank and it says balloon party in a box. Something
like that, right, helium tank, balloons. Everything's in a box.
I don't know, scary. Maybe it weighs ten pounds. It's

(01:04:59):
it's metal tank with some air in it. Whatever. Okay,
So she comes over and she says, where do I
ring this up? So now I'm ready to go with
my returns. Yeah, I have like eight returns. So the
manager says, come around, we'll ring you up. She says,
I don't want to walk all the way around that

(01:05:22):
wall with this box. Can't I just ring it up here?
She wants the Amazon return lady to take the box
over the counter so that she's not even online for
the register. She's on the side of the register because
the monitor is facing to the right, so she's the woman.
The woman doing the returns stops what she's doing and
he's like, oh, So she says, yeah, ring me up.

(01:05:46):
I said, excuse me, no, No, you gotta go around.
I don't want to carry this. So the manager is
at the first register. He's ten feet away. He's on
the other side of the wall. He says, we'll ring
you up on this side. So she says, I don't
want to carry this. So I said, hey, lady, put

(01:06:07):
the thing on the box on the counter and.

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Leave it right there. Walk around and leave.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Grabbit, because you can grab it from the other side.
I go, put it down, walk around and grab it.
That's a good idea. So she walks around. I turned
to the woe bhini me and go, what a fucking idiot.
So okay, she walks around and rather than going to
the register where the manager called her over, she goes
over to the Amazon auxiliary register where the box is sitting,
and she goes, I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Oh everyone's gonna stop because she's ready.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Hold on, Oh slow poke. June. By the way, he
name should have been December, because that's when I thought
I was getting the fuck out of it, she says
to me. She says to me, I'll be right with you,
and turns to go ring up this wall.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Oh no, no, no, you won't.

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Oh no you don't. So I say, excuse me, I'm
waiting here for you to build a box tape a box,
carry a box, build another box, flip a box, and
I'm ready to.

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
Go, and I can let this bitch cut me.

Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
She's not.

Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
And the woman goes, well, I'm here at the register,
I said, I'm standing here to do my returns. The
manager over there is waving to you to come over there.
I don't want to carry the box over there, I said, lady,
you gotta carry the box past him to get out
of here either way.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
So carry the box over there.

Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
I'm doing my returns. I did the screenshot. I did
the screenshot. I did eight screenshots. I put him in
an Amazon folder on my phone.

Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
I needna go swipey sliper swiper, swiper, swipe.

Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
I'm ready to go.

Speaker 3 (01:07:39):
You carry a box, a bag box of.

Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
Balloons, but party in a bag box thing, and go
over to the red stow where you belong. She goes like, well,
I'm already here. I said, funny, I was already here
doing the return. Then the managers like behind her, like
giving me the thumbs up, like you go because he
doesn't want to get involved. But he's telling me I'm
doing the right thing. So I said, pick up the box,
go over to that register, so I can do my

(01:08:02):
returns and the one behind me can do her returns.
The one behind me is a woman of color, and
she says, oh, hell no, get your ass over to
that register.

Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
I like, how you head backup?

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Yeah, so I said, yeah, what she said go over there,
don't be lazy and go carry that over that and
the other employees also probably must have been applauding you
as well. I said, so, I said to June, I said,
the fact that you want to ring this woman up
when you move about a mile an hour. I'm standing
here since I think yesterday, no offense. You're not exactly

(01:08:36):
winning any speed records. There tortoise in the hair, so
if you care, I gotta wait for you to build
a box. You're gonna take care of me right now.
No offense. Oh okay, but but this one no buds
now again, I was. I was more polite than I sound,
but I was loud, and I said I was here.
You need to ring me up. So she did. She

(01:08:57):
she took my returns. Swipey swipe and swepey.

Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
Swipe, any happy returns.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
This woman with the fucking party balloon, party in a box.
I don't know what your name is, we're gonna call
you Angelica, Fuck you Angelica, exactly, you and the fox,
the balloons. I'll be a party. Is miserable. Hope, there's
no gas in the tank. You gotta bring it back. Ah,
these imagine these want to walk title people man entitled,
and you know they just have no respect for other people,

(01:09:23):
or just they don't. They're just so self centered they
can't even realize that they're fucking other people over on that.
And I said to her, I said, is it too
much for you?

Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
Did you? Did you not exist in her world or what?

Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
No? I said, if you'd like, I'll walk the six
feet over to the door where the shopping carts are.
There's shopping carts. So I said, would you like a
shopping cart? No, I'm fine. So she put the box
across the counter like I suggested, Dude, they have shopping carts. Yeah,
if you're buying balloon in a box, whatever it is,
we'll get a shopping cart. And this was not an

old woman. This was a woman in her twenties. She
can carry balloon box. So what would you have done, scary?
Would you have let her ring her up first and
be like I got no else.

Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
No, no, no no.

Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
In that case, I would have said something because that's bullshit,
because she and she was defiant in not wanting to move.
She wanted to wait in that spot too, which we
don't want to walk three four feet to.

Speaker 3 (01:10:19):
The rude, obnoxious mofos.

Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
You imagine how slow this woman would have wrung her up?

Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
Now, how are we using the word slow?

Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
Ah?

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Yes, at a glacial pace.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
I just told you I'll be with you in a second.
It shouldn't take more than two seconds that rip the tape,
put the tape done.

Speaker 3 (01:10:44):
She's doing okay.

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
That is my sound of a slow woman boxing up
an Amazon box. Thank you, and scene and scene. Can
you imagine that woman?

Speaker 3 (01:11:01):
They shaved your brush?

Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
Not doing excited and angry? They shaved.

Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
