Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show Round.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
The Room, Gandhi, what's on your mind today?
Speaker 3 (00:08):
All right? I wanted to remind everybody that the best
time to plant a tree was twenty five years ago,
but the second best time to plant that tree is today.
So if there's something that you've been putting off and
you think, man, I miss my opportunity, it's too late
now it is not. Now is the time to do it,
so that five years from now you've got a five
year old tree. And I saw that the other day
and I thought that is such a good good reminder,
(00:29):
especially as we gear up for New Year's resolutions.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
We're getting to the end of the year.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Just start doing the thing that you want to do.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Start it now.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Plant your tree, Plant your tree, get it done, scary,
plant your tree today. I'm going to what's on your mind?
Speaker 5 (00:41):
Speaking of trees, have you guys heard of the grump tree?
This is now replacing the Charlie Brown Christmas tree for
people that don't really want to decorate or get a tree. Yeah,
the grump tree is straight out of the Grinch's or
is it doctor Seuss.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (00:58):
It's basically it's thicky, right exactly. So it's a little
it's the red stocking that sits on your coffee table,
and there's a big just one giant like branch that
hangs out and kind of leans over the green branch,
and one one ball dangling a dangling ball.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
I think you get them home. It sounds very festival.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
They're so cute.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
Yeah, I'm going to replace my Charlie Brown Christmas tree
with the grump tree this year.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Well that's just step up from your tree. Google it.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
It's so cute and even people who don't want to decorate.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Gotcha, put that out there. We're in there. Thank you
for sharing. Producer Sam, what's up with you?
Speaker 6 (01:40):
I read something that I really loved yesterday and it
said give yourself a round of applause on that failure. Congratulations.
Most people don't even try. I think that's so true.
I've got so many people in my immediate life with
great ideas and they just, you know, don't give it
a shot. There's always a million reasons to not do
basically anything. So if you did do it and it failed,
well done, you gave it a shot.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
I loved that, like that you gave it a shot.
That's more than most people do. Hey, what's up with you?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Straighten eate?
Speaker 7 (02:08):
Okay, one of my group chats with my friends, you know,
one of our friends was having an issue at his
office and we were talking about his boss, and the
thing that somebody said in the group chat just resonated
with me, and I felt like our audience might appreciate it.
Just because your boss says something doesn't mean they're always right.
I'm not giving any particular, you know, a thing in
(02:30):
my life, but in our friends.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Situation, that was the case. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:34):
No, my friend Keith, he was telling us a situation
with his boss, and it's just like, you know, just
because your boss says something doesn't mean they're always right.
So if you're in a situation like that at your
place of work, just keep that in mind. Just because
your boss says it doesn't mean he's always right.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
More than what do you do ever?
Speaker 7 (02:51):
Just know that so you don't make yourself crazy, I
guess Okay, best way to you know, sometimes you just
have to tell yourself.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
That just to make sure you're not going nuts in
your head. Is there are you aiming at anyone in particular? No, yeah,
you're Frank Keith Air quotes he's acting for a friend. No, no, no, no, no,
I'm kidding. I'm kitty. I'm kidding, Uh, Danielle.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
I love this time of year in New York City,
And I know a lot of us who come in
every day and commute are like, oh my god, I
can't stand it. But tomorrow they light the tree Rockefeller Tree.
And I get such joy out of watching tourists and
like in the parking garage when they come in from
someplace else with their kids and they have magic in
(03:34):
their eyes and they're ready to see everything that New
York has to offer. The Brian Park shops, the Christmas Village, Macy's,
the Rockefella Tree.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
I mean, it's so.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Cool to me that I and we get to live
in a place that this happens. And just watching that
magic people in the elevator chatting about it. And I
love giving advice and telling them where to go and say,
oh my gosh, you.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
See your first time in New York.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
So it's just I don't know what it is. It
just me brings me so much joy and happiness.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
So, yeah, you just mentioned to all the Christmas places.
They're here year round. I mean New York has Christmas
up year round. Basically the lights and the Christmas you
know what I'm saying. Blah blah blah. Macy's is Christmas
in July.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Man, go for it. I love it. But that is
there is this energy.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
And I know it's kind of a pain sometimes getting
from point and to point and b with all these
people around, but this is it.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
You're right, You're right. God bless Christmas time in New
York City
