Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show. I'll tell you why I love
going around the room. It's my favorite thing we do
every day. And I've always told you guys this because
we rarely ever have a theme. It's like everyone is
on their own. You have your own thoughts. Some of
them are uplifting, some of them are kind of funny,
some of them are sad. But they all kind of
(00:22):
work together. And that's what our show's about. This really
is the map of our show. It's like all over
the road, but everything makes sense for some reason. I
don't know why, but it does.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
So let's go around the room. I'm gonna start with
Scotty B and Master Control. Scotty, you're a guest today.
What's on your mind?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (00:39):
You know it's sad and concerning to me that this
generation of youngsters are just a bunch of jerks. I
was at the supermarket yesterday and as I pulled my
car into the parking spot, I saw by the entrance
to the store a woman was walking out with a
giant plastic bag of ears of corn and it broke
and they went all over the place, and the kid
in the car next to me started recording her like
(00:59):
that was his first instinct. When I went over to
try to help her pick these corn up, I like,
why who? Why are they talked to just like get
likes and clicks and record crap.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Go help people?
Speaker 1 (01:10):
For sure, they know that, but they're not taught to
be to be polite. They're not taught to look, they're
not taught to look out for other people.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
My god, I mean I try to. I teach my
girls to help people do things. Don't feed the jerk
standing there with the phone exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
That's a good point. I get a question for all
of you. How many times have you seen a video
on social where someone's in peril, someone needs help, but
there's someone getting a great shot of it.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
What are they doing?
Speaker 5 (01:37):
It makes what you're saying, help, go help somebody.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Did she get her corn? Yeah, she got a hold.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
I even had a plastic bag for her and gave her.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
You're the freaking good humor man.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Did you bang on that kid's window when you came back?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
I should have? Yeah, next time? There you go. Good point. Hey, scary,
what's on your mind?
Speaker 6 (01:58):
So whenever a celebrity labs with a venue, a product
or some other service or whatever, and they charge you,
like ten dollars more or whatever a premium because it's
that celebrity put their name on it.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Don't believe the hype.
Speaker 6 (02:12):
I was talking to one of our street teams yesterday
who used to work at Friendlies.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Friendlies not so Friendly. Remember when the Mister Beast burger
came out?
Speaker 6 (02:21):
When they would mister Beast collabed with Friendlies. All they
did was take a regular Friendlies burger, smash it on
the grill and throw it in a labeled Mister Beast
box and up charge you five dollars extra for the
same damn meat. Of course, what in I can't believe it?
(02:41):
Can't you?
Speaker 2 (02:43):
He's gonna come make all the burgers.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
Well, you would think that if mister Beast collabed with
event with with with Friendlies, he would have a Mister
Beast recipe.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
What happens is they they signed a contract where mister
Beast was paid an amount of money just.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
To use me.
Speaker 7 (02:59):
I mean, if you went to the Mister Beast Burger place,
then they do have specific burgers for each guy and
the team. So there are because there's a smashed addie burger.
But there's but.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Imagine just taking a mallet to a hamburger and charging
your five dollars expert.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
That's all they did for that promotion. Genius and paid.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
So there you go.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
I'm sure it was a tasty burger. It must not
discount that. Hey, gandhi, what's up with you today? All right?
Speaker 5 (03:28):
If you feel like you are losing your mind because
you can't tell the difference between deep fakes AI and
you know, real life anymore, you're not alone. I don't
know if you guys saw the article in the New
York Times not too long ago that said the leading
deep fake expert in the world says he can no
longer trust his own eyes.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Wow, now we're on our own. Here we go.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
His name's Hany Farid. He's been used for decades by
the police, the CIA, FBI, everybody to try and tell
the difference. And he said, all right, I think we've
reached the point where I can no longer tell the difference.
I feel like I'm going blind and this needs to
stop because it's not going to be a good thing
for society. But you're not alone if you're having a
tough time. We're all in the same boat sinking shift
if you will.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Never believe anything you see, which is kind of sad crazy,
So sometimes we need to believe in things.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Hey, uh, straight and eight, what are you thinking about?
Speaker 8 (04:15):
I'm not a violent person, but when I hit unsubscribe
on an email, I expect to be unsubscribed. Yes, I
hit unsubscribe yesterday on an email.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
What do I get thirty seconds later? Thank you for unsubscribing. No,
I don't even want that.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
I wanted to drive to that person's house and set
them on fire.
Speaker 8 (04:37):
I was so angry because I was like, wait, didn't
I just I just unsubscribe? Are you sending me another one? Infuriating?
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Please?
Speaker 8 (04:47):
Just whoever is in charge of this, don't do that.
Just when I hit unsubscribed from all, unsubscribed.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
To everything period.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Think that every time you unsubscribe for something, you're actually subscribed.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
To new thing. Yeah, that's.
Speaker 8 (05:01):
To something else, Yeah, because there's there Like you subscribe
from one company and they're a parent company, so then
they put you to one of their subsidiaries, right right,
So it just infuriates me.
Speaker 6 (05:11):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Sometimes when you have some unsubscribe, that program doesn't work
and it says sorry, it doesn't work, and you're like, well,
I'm in hell.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
There you go. Hey, Froggy, what are you thinking about?
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Why ow Nate an apology? Nate, I'm very sorry. Okay,
I need fun of you for eating wings with rubber
gloves on. Okay, And I want you to know that
yesterday I was in a restaurant. I saw another guy
doing it, and I'm like, wait, Nate's not the only
guy in the world that does that. In the Tampa
Bay area who does the same thing.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
I applaud that man. Please give him a high five.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
When he takes the You know what, I wouldn't do
that every time too, if it didn't look so stupid.
I know, but you know what, it is really the
smartest thing. You don't have barbecue sauce under your fingernails
all day.
Speaker 8 (05:57):
I kind of figured it out. They need like a
flesh colored gloves ones. If you were in the blue ones,
it does look a little weird.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
They're still they're.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Still going to be painted with barbecue sauce of what
is it? Hey, Danielle, what's up?
Speaker 7 (06:10):
Oh my gosh? So you know how I'm following all
these stupid food things on Instagram and I'm bringing them
to you all the time now, So I just made one.
It is made with a banana. You take the banana,
you scoop out the inside of the banana, and you
put some raspberries and nutella in there.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Right.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
Then you wrap it in Pillsbury dough as if you
were making like Yes, then you put a little oil
on it, put it in your air fryer, powdered sugar.
Let me tell you it is amazing. My mom and
I had them the other day when I made them,
they were so good. So look up that recipe. I
don't even know what it's called.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
You know, we'll call it the banana, nutella, pig and
a blanket.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Yeah that sounds good. That sounds good, so good, sound good?
All right? So there you go. That's why I love
around the road. None of these things work together, but
they all work. I love it. Thank you for another
great day.
