Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
All right, I'm not nervous at all about our morning
show holiday lunch coming up in about a week, and
according to Night, we have no rules, apologizing apologizing, I'm
abolishing all rules this year.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yeah, so I think we're all adult enough to self discipline.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Oh no, well, you gotta keep in mind if, as
the host, I decide we're not gonna have rules, you
know me, I'll be the first person that goes for it.
Speaker 5 (00:38):
I'm gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
We're gonna have jello shots. I know that's so classy.
We'll do some jello shots. We'll do some tequila shots.
We'll do some shots. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (00:47):
Shots are the sneakers. They creep up on you, you don't
know what's happening, and then all of a sudden, bad things.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
You know what is if I was taught at an
early age, if it jiggles, it's bad. It's bad for you,
jiggling things. That question from scary, Yes, what I.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Understand this restaurant has an extensive uh tequila program.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
Yes it does.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
So my question is are there limitations to the repisodo
that I drink.
Speaker 6 (01:13):
Wow, are you trying to bankrupt you already?
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Well?
Speaker 3 (01:17):
No, I just I'm just saying I like a good
sipping tequila.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
I'm not.
Speaker 7 (01:21):
I don't like to bang back shots. I'm not.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I don't throw back shots. I like to sip it
with a nice big cube.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Okay, scary.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
If you don't think I can afford your repisodo, then
I don't know. Maybe I'm going to let you down.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
I just didn't know if they were like, you know,
because I don't want to go for the expensive stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:38):
I'm like that. You just said, it's disrespect.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Okay, what tequila are you talking about?
Speaker 5 (01:47):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 7 (01:48):
I don't know that because there you know, with what.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
You just said, there's a specific Didn't you just say
that the best tequilas are in small batch and are
the ones that I have not discovered yet. No, okay, no,
you you just basically said you have a teguela, you
like a reposodo, and you don't know if you want
to break the banquet it.
Speaker 7 (02:05):
Didn't you just say that usually the.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Ones that I prefer happened to be the more expensive ones.
So if I see an expensive one, I want to
try it. Because I think it tastes better.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
So you're saying you want to take a look and
make sure that you get the most expensive one that
you may not have heard of yet, but when you
see it, you'll know.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
That's why I wanted to know way the price threshold was,
and I will pick on it based on the price.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
There is no price threshold.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
And is that rude to ask a host if there's
a price threshold?
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Thank god?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Hey are you giving us the cheap stock?
Speaker 5 (02:31):
I see what he's saying to Elvis.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
He could get a glass that could be legitimately a
thousand dollars crazy?
Speaker 5 (02:37):
And would you be okay with that? Okay?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, okay, I know I know the tequila list at
this at this hotel, at this restaurant, there is one
thousand dollars shot and there a poor even neat.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
No, you're fine, You're fine.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
The wait?
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Can I ask a question?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
No?
Speaker 7 (02:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Well why are we even talking about it? Yeah? Yeah,
go ahead? That wasn't for scary?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Scary?
Speaker 6 (02:55):
If you knew that it was an eight thousand dollars shot,
would you be okay just being like.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, load me up?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
I would not be okay, but I'd be curious I'm like,
what's in that bottle that's worth that much?
Speaker 7 (03:05):
Because I get you know, I'm curious, that's all.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Okay, let's put it this way.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Come to the party and have a good time, but
don't go there because it's You're like Charlie at the
Willy Wonka Factory. You know, let's go lick the wallpaper
because we can no Danielle.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
So the next day, I'm just saying, we're flying, so
if we get really drunk, we might have really bad hangovers.
So we gotta be a little careful. This is the
mom and me a little careful.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Maybe, well we're day drinking, so it helps a little bit.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Yeah, yeah, I guess if someone doesn't get allowed to fly,
if someone's like not allowed because of it, I will
die out.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Scary.
Speaker 7 (03:43):
Should we move?
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Should we move all of our our seats over to
Frontier or.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
We should we go to the airline that expects us
to be out of our minds.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Uh yeah, scary, Just show up and have a good time. Okay,
you know, you know, someone just send a text and
I agree, you know, pretend you're at the Jersey Shore.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Just order whatever they have.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Okay, you know exactly, you're a show. I want top shelf. Well,
in our place, we only have a shelf, just a shelf.
You're such a you really are a boogie boy. You
really are so anyway, Other than that, no rules, if
you want to order whatever you want. Scary, I don't care,
you know, no problem.
Speaker 7 (04:29):
I'm not going to break the bank on you.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
We never do that. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
You know what he's I don't know. Challenge on scary.
Let's see if you can break my bank.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
It is a challenge now, scared.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
But also keep in mind, you know, you know, I
know that sometimes you're in bonuses coming around.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
I'm sure that can be deducted.
Speaker 7 (04:54):
Daddy gets the last left every time.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
No, no, no, not at all.
Speaker 7 (04:58):
Anyway, I'm exc I you know.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
How many of you on the show have friends or
someone in your family that you know once the holiday
rolls around, they don't get anywhere near as excited as you.
O ye, and for different reasons. I was having lunch
with a friend yesterday and he apparently had a lot
of traumatic bs happened when he was a kid around
the holidays, and so the holidays still to him are
(05:24):
just a painful, painful time.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Well, you know, my dad passed away in November, right,
so it is been the smack dab in the middle
of the holiday season for me. But I always think
about it like this. Dad knew how much I love
the holidays. I know how much he loved Christmas, and
he wouldn't want me to not enjoy it. So I
try to kind of enjoy it even more further. Now
does that make sense?
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Yeah? It is new meaning, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
But you know, if you're surrounded by people who are
just like, oh, it's okay, well should we decorate bulah, Nah,
I'm not into it.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Well what about you? But what about you?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Do you what if you want to dive into the
holidays and have twinkly lights and things, you know, do
it all?
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Right?
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Just wondering.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
So if you are someone who just does not like
the holidays, you don't. I mean, let's be honest. It
can be a pain in the ass because there's a
lot of stuff to get done through. The lists of
things to do are longer and longer, and I get that.
Speaker 6 (06:18):
And financially for a lot of people, it's really tough.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Oh yeah, absolutely, especially if you have scary working for
you and he's ordering tequila. I liked his text her,
You guys are so mean to scary. He's trying to
be polite. He just struggles with articulation.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
You should keep that in mind.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
Oh we know that he just can't explain himself anyway.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
But yeah, the holidays they rolled around, and I missed
my mom.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
I miss you know. She was the Queen of Christmas.
She really was.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
She overdid everything. I mean she was like Danielle was
for Halloween. My mom overdid everything because it was just
her time to have her kids together in the tree
up and all the same decorations she decorated. She decorated
our house for the same decorations for fifty thousand years.
I'm like, good god, man, go buy new decorations. No,
(07:06):
they probably using Does you do the same thing my mom.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
Does the same thing. Yeah, she and she has the
same decorations. But I love it and it takes so
much effort, and I know that she's just doing it
for us because she wants us to come home and
feel like, oh, this is so nice. And I appreciate
my parents more every single year for all the things
that they did for us. That you didn't really pay
attention to when you were a kid.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Well, I have found that my favorite moments during the
holidays are when I'm sitting by myself with music on
and the tree on and just having a glass of wine,
hanging out with the dogs. I really those are those
calm moments because it is it is a season of craziness,
(07:46):
you know, all this energy. It is, like I say,
sitting in an electric chair for the month, especially when
you have concerts to go to. You gotta fly to
cities and this and that whatever, or just you know,
you have to catch up with your your family and
you have to make sure the plans are there and
the sheets are clean when they visit, and there's a
lot to do. I get that, but make sure you
find those moments just just you don't you love those?
Speaker 5 (08:06):
Ye are great? I love that all right?
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Think about what song you want to play, Danielle. You're
the Christmas Music Director, the CMD. Oh you have something
ready to go. We'll find out what it is coming up.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
But you can
