Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Elvis Duran phone tap. All right, the phone tap.
What do you have, Garrett? So college is getting ready
to start up again, and Noah's about to start his
freshman year. So Noah's mom, Christine, thought it would be
an amazing idea for me to phone tap her son, Noah.
So I'm going to call Noah as his new roommate
he's about to move in with. Oh, you're going to
mess with him. All right, let's listen to Garrett's phone tap.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hello? Oh, no.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
What's up, dude? My name's Joshua. I'm going to be
your roommate in a couple of weeks when you move
into campus.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Yeah, man. That's cool. Yeah, my mom was going to
pay me to get some stuff once, you know, once
I kind of settled in that first weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
So you got nothing right now?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
You know, I've got a TV and, you know, I've
got a couple things.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
How big?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
It's like a, I don't know, like.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I got a 52 that will fit perfectly in the room.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I mean, that's a big TV. I mean, you've seen
our dorm rooms, right? Yeah, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I've actually lived in this exact room for the past
three semesters.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
You're not a freshman. You've been in the same... No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I'm still a freshman. Let's just say I'm taking the
very extended program.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
So you're like three years older than me?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
I'm 24. Don't worry about it. Listen, so I can
get the fridge. I got some lofts. You know, we
can bunk the beds, you know, be cool. Are you cool?
You know, if I bring a girl back.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Oh, yeah, man. That's cool. I can just leave. You know,
you can. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
It's totally cool. Listen, she's totally cool with it. We're
into it. No worries. You don't need to leave.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Well, no, I mean, we will talk about it.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
By any chance, have you been in jail? All right, cool,
because I'm not allowed with my record to hang out
with other criminals, so you can move forward. Don't worry
about it. I'm sure I'll tell you sometime.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Oh, God. You have a criminal record?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
You might say i do but you know according to
some places i don't um.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
No it's it's it's cool um i'll.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Get uh hey listen i gotta run i gotta get
to work i work over at the tattoo place cool
meeting you maybe we'll be able to uh hang out
sooner than.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Later sure sure that's great.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I think I've scared him.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I think you freaked him out. Wait, he's calling on
the other line.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
All right, here's what we'll do. Just let that go
to voicemail, and we'll call him back in a few minutes.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
All right, hold on.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Hello? Hey, Noah. Mom, oh, my God. What the hell
have you been doing? I've been calling you for, like,
15 minutes.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I just got a phone call from my dorm mate
that's in college. He called me. Oh, that's terrific. Is
he like you? No, Mom. He's five years older than me. Oh.
He's five years older. He's been in school for 20 years.
He's got a criminal record, Mom. He'll know where to
take you. He's got a criminal record.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Oh, you're being silly.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
No, I'm not going to school. No. Yes, you are.
You are moving out of my house. You are going
to school. I'm not going to that school. You've got
to grow up and live in the world, and that's
what the world is.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Don't be a baby.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
You just have to smoke a little weed and come down, okay? What?
You are crazy. Not crazy. No, I'm not smoking pot,
and I'm not going to go to this school and
live with a criminal that's like... Noah. Hello?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Noah, my name's Garrett from Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,
and you just got phone tapped.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Oh, my God. I can't even breathe right now.
