Speaker 4 (04:34):
Welcome to Friday. Let's get into the three things we
have to talk about from Gandhi and then on with
the day. Let's see where it takes us Gandi. What's up?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
All right?
Speaker 10 (04:41):
Vandalism and Washington, d C. Has the city under additional
guard today. The phrase clean hands, dirty money was painted
in red on the World War II Memorial. Bubbles were
also found in the memorial fountain and pool, leading investigators
to believe that bubble soap was poured into the water.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
The National Guard.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I thought you meant the monkey.
Speaker 10 (04:58):
No, no, this bubbles, I don't think.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Go ahead, I'm sure, I'm sure you're fine.
Speaker 10 (05:03):
The National Guard was called to the location to monitor
the memorial, while the Interior Department released a statement calling
the vandalism a disgrace and vowing to find the person responsible.
Flock is adding new security features to its surveillance system
after multiple reports of police abusing the cameras.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
We've been talking about this a lot this week.
Speaker 10 (05:21):
Flock uses AI to scan and collect data on license plates,
which is shared by police departments across the US. Dozens
of officers have been accused of using the system for
personal gain, including stalking former partners. On Thursday, the CEO
of Flock Safety announced new guard rails like requiring police
to label every search with a case number and starting
an automatic review of abnormal search activities. Yeah, and finally,
(05:46):
Instagram users might have noticed something new on the app.
The social media app unveiled its first new logo in
a decade yesterday. People lost their minds. It's really not
even that serious, but it's been a long time and
now there's change in a post. AMUSEI the head of Instagram.
So the new logo is cleaner and more modern, with
references to the original and the simplicity and craft that's.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Always made it Instagram.
Speaker 10 (06:09):
Of course, users are criticizing it, saying that the R
looks like a Z and those are your things?
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Whether is that?
Speaker 4 (06:15):
By the way, uh Nate did his homework. And Bubbles
the chimp is forty three years old and still alive.
Oh wow, so maybe they did find bubbles on the
on the monument.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
That would have been a wild plot twist.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Yeah, all right, there you go. Bubbles is alive. Another
reason to celebrate the weekend. Are you ready for Friday? So, guys,
Justin Bieber here, Hi, this is Mariah Carry.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
My name is Alex Horn, Elvis Durant in The Morning Show.
Speaker 5 (06:43):

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Elvis duran and The Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
Yeah, during the song there, I was kind of plotting
out the weekend, like you know what, I actually put
pen to paper, like, Okay, what do I want to
accomplish today, tomorrow, Sunday? This is my new organizational meet?
Speaker 3 (07:22):
How about you?
Speaker 4 (07:23):
You know me, Danielle, Danielle, I have these fits from
time to time.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I know you're going to Staples today.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
I'm gonna go to Staples get things to help organize
my weekend.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
It's true.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
And also this blouse I'm wearing, I call it a
blouse because it's very thin material. It's a women's blouse.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Okay, is it really? I didn't know when I bought it.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
It's very pretty, it's beautiful.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
It was in the men's section, and there were a
lot of them, as I recall, so I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Aren't things interchangeable now? Whoever wants to wear it wear it?
Speaker 4 (08:00):
What's yeah, no problem, no problem. But it's just it
buttons backwards for me, you know, because guy's shirts, you
know they buttoned this way with a button goes from
left to right. This one, the button goes left to right.
I don't know, you know what I'm saying, Yeah, it's opposite. Yeah.
Should I do a new meme that says kind of
chic to wear a women's blouse, start a trend, this
(08:25):
kind of chic thing.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
I'm I'm not.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
I'm not falling into it like everyone else. Are you
guys getting it?
Speaker 1 (08:31):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
No, not really. I mean I get what it is,
but I just think it's stupid. So I don't know.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
I mean, our radio stations are using it, you know
they're falling into that. That Well, this is the hot
meme plan for this week thing, the kind of chic thing.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Next week there'll be a different one.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
So okay, Well, it's kind of chic to do the horoscopes.
So it's Friday. Who's doing the Friday horse copes today?
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Me and Scary Scary. Put on your spectacles.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
No, there's a nice, a big font. You want me

Happy birthday to you. You share it with Halle Barry
Melacunis and Magic Johnson. Hey, Leo, di look back and
give yourself a low key end to the week. Not

Speaker 4 (10:34):
All right, I'm looking at my philosophy for the weekend.
You know, getting ready for the weekend. Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Scary? Scary?
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Nate's okay? Water Nate, Oh don't you hate that? And
then people ask how you're doing. They want you to talk.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Yeah, how's your how's that water in the pipe going?
How's that going? Oh?
Speaker 4 (10:52):
Wow, he's ran out of the rooms.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Keep an eye on him, nobody, Yeah, check him.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
Yeah, sometimes the plumbing gets all fed up, water goes
down the wrong pipe.
Speaker 10 (11:02):
It's always so embarrassing that, like hard cough, when you're
blowing out veins and like popping a blood vessel.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
It's so embarrassing, and.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
I still love doing it when you're when you're on
an airplane and people think, oh god, COVID is back
here he comes coronavirus.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
And you know, you feel like you have to say, oh,
just swallowed something down the wrong way. Sorry you okay?
Speaker 4 (11:21):
Yeah, okay, Well well no you really should go out
of the room until.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
This is clear.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
Yeah, okay, I'm better now, Okay.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
Nate, Nate, can you really go go get some water?
Speaker 1 (11:36):
But that's my question. He's choking on water. But then
he went to get some water. Is that okay?
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Because the the other part is irritated. I'm good now,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
Okay, all right, Well that's all of our time for
this break.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Thanks for joining.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
I'll get into that philosophy thing in a minute. Uh
do we have guess today?
Speaker 12 (11:54):
Though?
Speaker 4 (11:55):
I think our friend Juju is gonna call it.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Okay, she was gonna Jus calling.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
He's gonna call in talk about movies, things you canna
watch in the theaters. And all right, Danielle, what are
you coming up?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Best tippers in Hollywood? And Jeff Bezos and the two
hundred million dollar condo.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Oh my god, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. This
is Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
All right, let's get into it, Danielle. I know you'll
like you're ready to burst at the seat.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
I am gonna burst. Let's go.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Let's go, Danielle, what do you got going on? All right?
Speaker 1 (12:29):
So the Swifties they're convinced that Taylor is on the
verge of an album release announcement, so here's their evidence. Yesterday,
August nirteenth, staged paparazzi photo of Taylor leaving a private
club called Annabel's. Now two years ago, on August twelfth,
Taylor was also photographed leaving Annabel's wearing plaid in the
(12:49):
color scheme of the Life of a Showgirl. Yesterday, she
wore a floral lavender mini dress. So the swifties are
thinking something is on the way, so we will see
if that happens. They're usually right because they know like
what she puts out there, So let's see what happens. Okay,
So you've got celebrities that tip great, You've got celebrities
(13:10):
that tip terrible. I'm gonna tell you about the celebrities
that tip great, and the next hour you're gonna have
to come back to hear about the celebrities that tip
tip crappy.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Geez. See the tease I did there.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Not only kind, but always low maintenance. Miley Cyrus tipped
two hundred percent and was a sweetheart on a.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Chip a check.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Bruce Willis, they said he always tipped extremely well. He
signed autographs for almost everybody post Malone is a great tipper.
He usually gives fifty to one hundred percent tips, very polite,
they said, an all around great guy. Shack pays for
everybody's meals in the restaurant. He tips his server like
three hundred bucks, like for like not a lot. And
(13:53):
they said he tipped all the other staff that worked
there one hundred dollars. At one time in a restaurant
that a waiter was talking about, Elvis presently even came
in with some officers and stayed over an hour. They
had a meal at this one place, a few beers,
and Elvis left five thousand dollars plus a large, large
tip for some other people. Yep, that's what they're saying.
(14:14):
Kevin Hard tips grade, Jack Black tips grade. So a
lot of celebrities that tip great.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Where's Elvis durant on there?
Speaker 13 (14:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yeah, let's not get those confused. Amount of money. I
have no cash for that, cleb activity.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
No one's doing that.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Current day, Elvis not doing it. Oh my god, old
el Maybe maybe the next Elvis will be a big tip, okay.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is rumored to have placed a
deposit and a two hundred million dollar condo in Beverly Hills.
Construction will not be completed until twenty twenty eight on
this building, which is adjacent to Rodeo Drive. But people
are saying that it looks like he's one of the
people that put money down. Six bedrooms penthouse feature seventeen
(14:57):
thousand square feet, seven times the size of a new
single fing family home in the United States. And yes,
like I said, two hundred million dollars, So yeah, anybody
can do it. The third richest guy in the world
can definitely do it, right, he's third now third all things.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
I can't keep up with the wealthiest list.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
I can't. I tell you.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Spider Man brand New Day reached seven hundred million in
the domestic box office, faster than any other movie in history.
Sure they'll make more money this weekend. Apple TV is
saying that season four of ted Lasso had a record
start of three hundred million viewed minutes in the first
two days, and according to data, ted Lasso was the
most streamed show last week. So that's pretty cool. Dancing
(15:37):
with the Stars. We are going to find out very
soon who will be on the new season. Now we
know Jiata Dilarentis is going to be on there Taylor
Hanson remember up. Oh wow, yeah, he's gonna be on there.
Other competitors apparently Summer House is star Sierra Miller, Jimmy
Kimmel's sidekick Giermo. I can't wait to see him and
some other people. What are we watching over the And
(16:00):
there's a lot of football, There is a lot of
stuff streaming, some stand up specials and uh yeah, The
Walking Dead, Dead City and that is my Danielle report.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Hey, the Shards were supposed to drop episode three last
night or on Wednesday. They actually did three and four,
so they drop two this week, so I've got another
one to catch up on. And so and our friend
of mine said he's waiting to watch ted Lasso because
he doesn't know if he's into the fact it's women's soccer. Now,
(16:30):
why are you kidding me?
Speaker 7 (16:31):
Right?
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Why don't we try it out and see how it is?
Speaker 4 (16:34):
You know, you know what, what a stupid excuse, don't
you think?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Coming on Elvis Terrin in the Morning Show.
Speaker 14 (16:42):
When you remember childhood, you remember your childhood dog, you
loved him and fed him pedigree. It was good then
and it's better now. Every ball has one complete nutrition
and now pedigree includes vitamin good bites a nutrient boost.
Your dog will love pedigree good. Then better?
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Now what you know how much I make up every day?
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Yeah that's crazy. Oh what a dangers in the Morning show.
So Disney fans are pissed off and furious over something
that's going on at Disney World. The trash cans. Have
you heard about the trash can? Okay, So Disney World
is kind of famous for their trash cans, and I
(17:27):
tell you why. It's kind of gross. They have these
flat topped trash cans where people will stop and eat
and use them as tables.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
It was right, especially, oh god, especially at Epcot when
they do their their food and wine or whatever it is.
It's kind of a they say a rite of passage
to eat at the trash can.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
That's where a lot of the sharing happens, because you know,
in those festivals, you get one and you share it
and you do.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
It on the trash can.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Yeah I know, but you're also sharing, you know, whatever
it is going in the trash can right below what
you're eating, it's right there.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Disney Magic. It's fine.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
They rolled out this new generation of high tech solar
powered whatever garbage cans across Disney World, and people are
just mad as hell these but they're smart cans. But
hear me out. Okay, they're gradually replacing the familiar flat
topped dinner table cans that have been there for decades,
and it's going over all four theme parks and Disney
(18:25):
Springs in.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Orlando.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
They're saying, these new garbage cans automatically compact waste. They
alert the cast members when they're getting full, meaning fewer
overflowing binds. They thought they were doing the right thing,
but the tops of them are rounded.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah, that's not good.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
So people are mad as hell.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
My sister is going to Disney this weekend. She's doing
like the member the one day in Disney we talked about,
So she's going this weekend. I'm going to ask her
to take pictures of the garbage cans so that we
can see what this is like.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
Well, you know, they've had those flat top garbage cans
for decades, and they even they have merch that are
formed at for them that actually have value on the
people trade them. Have you seen these things? Is anyone's
seeing them? Disney trash? You have froggy Disney trash they
are No, No, there's merch.
Speaker 15 (19:15):
They make like these little the little setabouts Chotsky's you
sit about your house, and they're made after those garbage cans.
They're famous. They're green, flat top. They've got them a little.
But now the new ones they have a foot pedal
so you don't have to use your foot to open
it and all this other stuff. But the top is
slanted down towards the can, so if you were to
sit something on and it could slide off.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
So the old, the old garbage cans where I guess
the same as the phone booths in London. You know,
they became very very famous. Yeah, well I never knew
this was a thing. But the thought of standing at
a trash can using it as a table while strangers
are cramming their crappy crap and the slit below.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
There.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Okay, there are no fly he's buzzing around a garbage
can in Disney World.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
That happened.
Speaker 15 (20:04):
But there are positives now they know when they need
to be empty, they can tell. They get a little
compactor in them. They're gonna they'll tell, uh what do
they call them cast members when they need to go
do it? So exactly there are reasons, but I get
that from the top of the man.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
I've read something this morning that this guy says, leave
it to just leave it to Disney to up the
trash cans.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
It's like, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Yeah, because there's not enough places to eat sometimes, Like
I know there's that hot dog place that I like
to eat at on Main Street, and a lot of
times you have to go to eat at the garbage
can because there's not enough seating in that area.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Okay, So when I would go to put things in
the trash can, I would see families, you know, eating
at the trash can, and I felt guilty, like putting
my trash half eaten whatever pretzel in the little swinging
door right under the for four. It is like going
(21:03):
to a restaurant and having trash cans under other people's tables.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
What are you doing?
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Well, you're throwing it out. I'm gonna go oh wait, no, no, no,
you're gonna eat that. It's good up to me.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
You know if people throw drinks and there's always a
little splatter.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Yeah yeah, all right, Oh, well brought that.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
I want to see.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
I want to take the temperature of the road. Okay,
one of those crazy things. It is Friday. Gandhi has
a Friday songs that make you feel like Friday game
coming up or something?
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Yeah, songs that feel like Friday.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
All right, so that's coming up in a few minutes.
Don't call for that yet. We got to find someone
who can actually play and win because that's very difficulties anyway,
But it is Friday. So being a good move y'all.
Speaker 2 (21:44):

Today Elvista ran in the morning show.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
This is al Vista ra in.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
The morning show.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
Hey, so remember Garrett came in I think it was
yesterday and told us about the house they caught on
fire across the street. Yeah, did you hear about how
that fire started? And this scares the hell out of me.
It was a phone charger that it was like an
off brand phone charger that caught the mattress on fire.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
I have so many of them yep, yeah, me too.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
And I've had one go on fire in my kitchen,
off brand one that I bought on Amazon. Garrett did too,
I think, Yeah, then I think Garrett did too, had one.
You know which one it was, you know, the one
that has all the slots and you can put different phones,
you know, your phone's in at different phones, like more
than one family member can charge. Right, that was the
one for me that went up and it sparked and
(22:47):
went up. Thank gosh, I was home when it happened.
And I think that happened to Garrett too, didn't it?
Speaker 16 (22:52):
Yeah, yeah, no it did. It was crazy last week.
I've learned a lot and I've told my family members
and friends too, like just be care.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
Yeah, okay, do any of the on brand ones, meaning
I guess the ones that come from Apple do they
catch on fire too?
Speaker 16 (23:07):
I mean I mean could they yes? But are they
more trusted with? Like don't It's so easy to just,
you know, go grab a charger at a deli and
just because you need to.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Charge, right, I love a good deli charger.
Speaker 16 (23:18):
Well you know what I mean, like the ones that
are on the counter at a random store, like I exactly.
I think going forward, for me, at least in my family,
we're just going to stick to the products that go
with it. So if you have a Samsung, use a
Samsung charger. If you have an Apple, use an Apple charger.
There you go, it makes sense. Yeah, it's the rate
at which it charges. See all these other charges that
you buy. We all want our charge our phones to
(23:39):
charge really fast. The power rated which it charges, the wattage.
That's the problem.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
The heat.
Speaker 15 (23:44):
It just causes heat, heat, heat, and it catches on fire.
It's it's the slow charges that are fine, and that's
what comes with your phone. But when you start buying
these other sixty five watts, it's like, yeah, sure, your
your phone charges in four minutes, but it's on fire
or your.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
House is not all right, So give us numbers here,
like what should we in your in your opinion or
should we look this up and get it.
Speaker 15 (24:04):
Each devices are charged differently, Like an iPad can charge
a little faster because it's a larger device and dissipates
the heat more. But when you have these smaller phones,
you can't just cram so much power into The battery
is smaller and the service area is smaller, and so
it needs to dissipate heat.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
That's why so.
Speaker 15 (24:19):
Most chargers the height that you want is like like
a laptop can charge it sixty five watts but then
you don't want to charge your phone at that unless
it's an Apple charger because it's got the proper coiling
in and the heating dissipating.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Well, you know, I've always, I'm assuming all of us
have always assumed sort of what you're talking is about
is the problem. But I just don't know the numbers,
you know. I just want by a phone and go, oh,
I'll use this charger. Yeah, yeah, I too.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I have tons of them.
Speaker 10 (24:44):
I'm not even sure that I have any of the
originals left anywhere.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Well, the day Alex walked in and went, good, God,
use this charger. You don't charge your phone in less
than four seconds. What is it doing is it's like
a nuclear blast. Your phone can't be good. So is
it the charger that catches on fire? Or is it
the phone that catches on fire? The battery and the phone.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
I believe it's a charger.
Speaker 4 (25:06):
The charger, Yeah, is the charger.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
It heats up.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
It heats up because it can only push so much
into that battery at one time, so it's like it's.
Speaker 15 (25:13):
Not coiled properly or any of that kind of stuff.
Speaker 16 (25:15):
And and the other type of charger too, the one
that caught fire in my house a few years ago
was one of those that you could put an iPad
charger like several things at once.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
That's what I just said, same in my house.
Speaker 16 (25:24):
And it just was sitting there normally and it just
went crazy.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
As barks flew And thank god that.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
I don't want that. I don't know who does. Who
have to really wants things to catch on fire in
the house?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
No, pick me?
Speaker 4 (25:40):
All right, interesting, I need to learn more. I think
we should all learn more. Yeah, just you know, be
educated when you start plugging crap in a terrifying and
don't leave.
Speaker 16 (25:51):
It plugged in too. That's the other thing too. You're like, oh,
I just get it in the morning, No, no worries,
Like once it hits a hundred or even if it's
don't don't just let it sit there all night. That's
the other problem.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Really, I let the too in my bed. Yeah?
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Yeah, therein lies the problem. You have enough heat in
friction in your bed.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Gun sure do.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Scary running. He's running over to team to buy another charger.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Yeah, I want a nice hot pink one. You know
it'll be hot, it'll be hot.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Geez all right, well thank you so that's what That's
what caused the fire across the street from your house. Yeah.
Speaker 16 (26:32):
Yeah, And the firefighters that that worked on the house said,
you wouldn't believe how many fires are caused by this
that they have to.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
Go to almost every day now.
Speaker 16 (26:41):
It's almost like a common occurrence where it's like they
always assume it's a charger.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Wow.
Speaker 10 (26:47):
One of my firefighter friends said, along with electronics, that
the biggest starter of fires is candles left unattended in
your house. And I didn't even understand why until I
think I told you guys this. I let one burn.
I was home when it happened. It went all the
way down to the bottom and it exploded, but the
flame was still going, so there was glass everywhere.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
And then an open flame. And I'm like, uh huh,
this is how it happens.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Okay, you need to be safe. Yeah, you need to
be sau This is what we do. You know, after
we worship Satan, we always make sure all the cameras.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Absolutely. There's another thing like bath and body works. You
know how I like to have those little plugins in
the wall with all the oil. Oh yeah, so you're
not supposed to let that get down to the very
bottom and then forget about it and leave it plugged in,
because I've had a couple of people that I know
that they had a little bit of an issue. So
you need to make sure you watch that and then
(27:36):
when it gets to a certain point, replace it. Don't
just leave it.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
All right.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Well, I still hear all of these great pieces of
advice here on the show, but I'm still kind of
a little question Markie here, I don't.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Know about what are you questioning?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Well, the whole thing. I mean, there's a lot, there's
a lot of different variables when it comes to charging
a phone. You've got the charger itself, you have the
phone and what it's capable of taking. You know, there's
a lot to consider. But we just just consider where
they sell it to us. So it's got to be safe.
So what the hell it's a problem.
Speaker 15 (28:06):
Amazon sold it for four dollars and brought it in
eight minutes. It's got to be good.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
God, who doesn't trust Amazon? Everything on Amazon is totally
totally legit. All right, let's roll into the three things
we need to know. Then we've got to get into
the songs that make you feel like it's Friday game
that Gandhi came up with, all right, Gandhi, three things
what you guys?
Speaker 10 (28:23):
All right, Luigi Mangioni will plead guilty to federal charges
and the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. That is,
according to multiple reports, Mangioni faces stocking charges resulting in
the death of Thompson. He could be sentenced to life
in prison if convicted. When asked about the possible plea
deal on Wednesday, Top Manhattan federal prosecutor Jamie McDonald would
only say a court conference is scheduled. I don't know
(28:45):
if you guys saw this, but a bill to require
New York City buildings to dim lights at night is
being supported by animal activists. A rally was held in
support of the lights out bill in front of City Hall.
A study from Cornell University found over a quarter of
a million birds died from building collisions in the city
every year. Critics of the bill are arguing that lighting
is necessary in order to deter crime. However, advocates say
(29:08):
that the bill that was reintroduced yesterday includes exceptions for
public safety and landmarks, so it's possible that the city
could look a lot darker at night.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
We'll see.
Speaker 10 (29:19):
And finally, I don't know if you guys have been
keeping up with the weather in the Midwest, but it
has been crazy. There have been wild storms and it
doesn't look like it's gonna let up anytime soon. Millions
across the Midwest and the Ohio Valley under threat of
those severe storms. Noah's Storm Prediction Center has issued a
level two out of five risk for severe thunderstorms for
parts of Iowa and Illinois. Other states across the region,
(29:40):
like Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana under a broader level one threat.
Damaging wind gusts are expected to be the primary concern.
This comes after storms this week left thousands across Illinois, Indiana,
and Ohio without power. And I don't know if you
guys saw the video, but there is the video of
a car just driving down the highway in Columbus and
flipping over because the wind was so oh my gosh, two.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Miles an hour, just flipped a car in the middle
of the highway.
Speaker 7 (30:06):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Yeah, And those are your three things.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Looking at your weather here in New York and Philly.
Sunny today, It's gonna beautiful day today like eighty six
tomorrow Saturday. For the northeast eighty four and sunshine Sunday.
But we have a good chance of rain Miami up
to ninety three today heat advisory. Of course, it's gonna
be a little chance rain off and on, you know,
today and tomorrow. That's the way it is. And nothing
but sun on Sunday with a ninety three and there
(30:29):
you go. All right, Gandhi, it's Friday's.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
I'm sorry. I was going for the Friday themed intro.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
All right, but you also put La La La Calcutta
in the box here alrighty. Behind the scenes, I was saying, scary,
we're about to solicit for a game with Gandhi, the Friday,
the Friday song game. Whatever, Yeah, I need an intro.
So he puts in La La La Calcutta, Calcutta it is.
(31:06):
He put that in, So I went to hit that,
but he went to hit Friday. I'm in Love by
the Cure, a song we played earlier. So now we
let's just play both of them. Here we go out,
It's Friday.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
The It's gonna have his third stroke.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
It's Friday, and Gandhi says, there are songs out there
that make us feel like it's Friday.
Speaker 10 (31:28):
Yes, they just put you in a good mood. You
get ready for the weekend.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Okay, well, this music is not putting me in This.
Speaker 10 (31:34):
Is not it. But somewhere out there there are songs.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
All right, I'll turn this one off here, all right, okay,
So okay, so talk about how you.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Put this together.
Speaker 10 (31:42):
So I don't want to tell you where I got
the list, But there are songs that feel like Friday.
It feels like the end of the week. You're getting
ready to party, You're getting ready for a good time.
You guys know what Fridays feel like. So I put
together this list of songs.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
We just need the title. I think.
Speaker 10 (31:56):
I don't know if we need the artist, just the
title of the song. And I don't think you guys
are going to disagree with any of them. I think
you're going to feel like Friday. Across the board.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Songs that make you feel like Friday, call now. But
you need to know about music and Fridays before you
call so called diamond. Now, if you think you're qualified
eight hundred two four to two zero one hundred.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Elvis duran clop if you think she should tougher Elis
ter Ran in the Morning Show, Elvis Duran in the
Morning show.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
It's great way good morning on a Friday, especially, you
know if you have Saturday and Sunday off, but even
if you work on weekends, Friday definitely definitely sits different.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Right, Yeah, absolutely so.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Gandhi woke up this morning thinking that same thing, and
she said, you know what, we need a game that
features music songs that make you feel like it's Friday.
What does that mean exactly?
Speaker 3 (32:54):
You know how Fridays feel.
Speaker 10 (32:55):
You wake up and you're like, ooh, I can do this,
this is going to be an easy day, and I'm
heading into the weekend. I have good plans for the weekend.
Maybe the weather's nice, like it's gonna be for us,
and you're just looking forward to it. It's like a
little feeling of hmm, I like that.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Yeah, all right, let's get into it.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Missy out in Harrisburg, PA is ready to play. Good Morning, Missy,
Welcome to Friday, our Friday special for you, just like
they are for us.

feel like, oh, it's Friday, the great Great Friday, feel
good songs.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Right, it's like a little warm and fuzzy with some
party mixed in.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
All right, warm fuddy, all right, okay, wow, I wish
we were there to have you prove it to us.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
You don't want anyone saying, hey, you feel fuzzy today?
Speaker 3 (33:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
All right, missy. All we need is the name of
the song, not the artist. Let's see how you do.

Speaker 8 (36:47):
Right, I said all or nothing, all rights.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
The good news is she did ten. I got five
more for another another person. But you didn't get something.
What do you have from Missy? Well, because you said

Oh god, I knew I loved you.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
You're the one. Well, Nick, we have to have a
meeting after the show.
Speaker 17 (37:18):

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Messages are so funny.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Yeah, please, she's the worst. I hate her this kind
of thing.
Speaker 12 (37:53):
Is.
Speaker 10 (37:53):
The thing is she knew the songs like she was
singing along. She just couldn't come up with the title.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
That's not the same way I would have been saying
exact thing. I'd be like, Yeah, that's man.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
How you play the game? You're supposed to know the top?
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Yes, yes, well, hey, do you have someone else ready
to go?
Speaker 3 (38:07):
Just pick at random?
Speaker 4 (38:08):
Do you dare me do it?
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (38:11):
All right, now we pick people at random. Now we're
really rolling the dice. It's gonna get weird. Hello, is
anyone there?
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Good?
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Good, good morning, good evening, good afternoon. Welcome to Friday. Hello, Hello,
this is going well? Hello is the caller there?
Speaker 8 (38:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (38:31):
Hey, what's your name?
Speaker 3 (38:33):
My name is Stephen Steven.
Speaker 10 (38:36):
All right, let's see can I Can I tell Stephen
a couple of things here? Yeah, go ahead, Steven, turn
your radio down.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
We can hear it. It's gonna mess you up.
Speaker 10 (38:45):
And if you're on the speakerphone, you want to take
yourself off the speakerphone and just hold the phone up
to your ear.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
Is that cool?
Speaker 8 (38:50):
All right?
Speaker 4 (38:52):
Yes, Stephen, you got this buddy money. Nothing will go
wrong here? All right, I'm I'm looking at the songs. Okay,
all right, Stephen. Now these are songs that Gandhi says
are proven to make you feel like it's Friday. That
sounds like fun, doesn't it indeed, all right, indeed, here
(39:15):
is your first song, like a tager. What's the name
of that song, Stephen?
Speaker 3 (39:25):
I know that is, yes, like a tiger.
Speaker 4 (39:36):
Girl.
Speaker 8 (39:41):
Oh, tigers of sky.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
Tigers of Sky. Freddy Mercury should have named it that,
but he named it. Don't stop me now stop, all right, stop,
excellent Friday song. All right now, this next one, okay,
(40:07):
let's see if you know the name of this song.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
This is much welcome Jones. What's up?
Speaker 4 (40:18):
Great song?
Speaker 8 (40:25):
Broken hearted?
Speaker 3 (40:35):
All right?
Speaker 4 (40:35):
Let me give you another one. All right now. If
you can answer that, you can answer anything. Here is
your next one. Songs that make you feel like it's Friday.
Speaker 8 (40:49):
It's definitely not gonna get this one. I'm not too sure.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
Little chapel roone in there?
Speaker 3 (40:54):
It is cha? Yeah? Are you doing in the room?
Speaker 4 (40:57):
When he gets the name of the song?
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Is it Gary?
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Is it hot to go? She even spells it for you.
All right, here we go. Here's another one. You'll get
this one. Come on, we're counting.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
On you coming out of my cage and I and ching.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
She just fine.
Speaker 8 (41:18):
Got I'll be down because.
Speaker 1 (41:20):

Speaker 8 (41:27):
I don't want it all started out.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
It's there.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
You go Okay, you're doing really well. Random caller, Steven,
here we go. Here's your next song that makes it

Speaker 3 (45:39):
All right, Danielle, it's all up to you. What's this
one all about?
Speaker 1 (45:42):
Well, Carlina wanted to play a phone tap on her mom,
mary Anne, because Marianne was called to jury duty. She
missed the day and was worried she was going to
get arrested, so she actually showed up the next day
after she was supposed to be there. So she wanted
me to call and tell her mom, oh, we have
no record of you.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Being here. Hmmm, let's make mommy upset.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Huh h.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
Here's today's phone tap.
Speaker 9 (46:02):
Hello Marianne.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yes, yes, hi, this is Melissa Stovey from the Mineola
Court System. Yes, you were supposed to make an appearance
for Jerry Duty.
Speaker 9 (46:11):
I was there.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
Uh not according to our records.
Speaker 9 (46:14):
Oh yes, oh sure, I was definitely. In fact, I
was supposed to go down on a Wednesday, and I
got the numbers mixed up, and I spoke to the
girl with the blonde tears and she says, that's all right,
come in tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Unfortunately, we have no record that you were here.
Speaker 9 (46:33):
I was there, hunt, I really.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
Was, as far as I'm concerned, you actually weren't here
because I don't have the paperwork.
Speaker 9 (46:40):
Well, oh well, she made a mistake, But I was there.
In fact, I gave blood that day.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
I mean, you show up on the wrong day, and
there's nothing I can really do about that, because she.
Speaker 9 (46:49):
Says that's okay, she says come in Thursday, and that's
what I did.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
I mean, you say she blonde. There are tons of
blonds that work in the court system, So I mean
when you say the blonde girl, that doesn't really help me.
Speaker 9 (46:58):
Well, she was a lady. She was than a girl.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
All right, lady.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
Well the problem is now there's a warrant out for
your arrest, a bench warrant.
Speaker 9 (47:04):
I don't believe it.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
You was there, Oh Lord, According to our paperwork, you
were not there.
Speaker 9 (47:11):
I was, and I know the lights went out. You
could pick somebody there the twenty eighth. The lights went
out and hit the building.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
All right, Well, this is the kind of stuff we
hear all the time from people that skip court.
Speaker 9 (47:21):
Believe me, I call purposely. The next day I called.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
I have no record of you calling, So in my eyes,
you weren't here. And now we have a warren out
for your.
Speaker 9 (47:30):
Arrest, have a warrant out. But I have proof I
was there.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
I mean, you have to understand. Everybody has to serve
dry duty.
Speaker 17 (47:37):
It's part.
Speaker 9 (47:37):
Yes, I know I was there though, that's the thing.
I was there.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
I mean to skip out and not show up as
a little rude.
Speaker 9 (47:44):
Well, I think you'll be rude because I was there.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
You know, you older people seem to forget things.
Speaker 9 (47:49):
Sometimes he's seven years old. I'm not seen now. I
do work, I am a voter and everything else. I
am a good citizen. That's where I appear.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
It doesn't seem like you are. I'm trying to be
very patient with you.
Speaker 9 (48:04):
I'm trying to be patient with you because the way
it sounds now that I'm not going to get paid either,
because I didn't get paid for my job.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
If you showed up, you would have gotten paid.
Speaker 9 (48:12):
I did. She marked it down all right?
Speaker 1 (48:15):
Now, I understand old people have memory issues, so we
need you know, are you talking to you have to
realize that you're gonna have to pay a fine. Oh no,
so you're not gonna get paid on top of paying
a fine? What the finest one thousand dollars.
Speaker 9 (48:29):
No, I'm not paying it.
Speaker 1 (48:31):
It's one thousand dollars for not showing up for jury duty.
Speaker 11 (48:34):
I was there.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
You were not there.
Speaker 9 (48:36):
I was there. Don't tell me I wasn't at my job.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
Just because you don't want to go to work doesn't
mean you were a jury duty.
Speaker 9 (48:44):
You dare imply that, don't you dare imply that?
Speaker 7 (48:49):
You know?
Speaker 12 (48:50):
I just don't.
Speaker 9 (48:51):
I want need to darify that woman. I don't know
her name, but she you have a rosta people that
worked and I was supposed to appear seven and I
got the numbers mixed up because I told the girl
when I.
Speaker 1 (49:04):
Called, this is the consequence for skipping jury duty. Miss
Lazy did not.
Speaker 9 (49:09):
Yet Jrry Judy.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
I was there. You were not here. There's no records
of you being here. Did you go shopping that day?
Speaker 3 (49:16):
Is that what you did?
Speaker 9 (49:17):
The court house?
Speaker 1 (49:18):
I mean, these are very original excuses. I'll give you that.
Speaker 9 (49:21):
But I didn't even read the court I went out
to have a cigarette. I was there before pay You.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
Know smoking is bad for your health.
Speaker 9 (49:29):
I was there before eight o'clock. I was there seven
point thirty, even a quarter lift. I was the first
one in the parking lot and waited.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Do you want to pay this in cash? Checker, money order?
Speaker 3 (49:40):
Now?
Speaker 9 (49:40):
I own't.
Speaker 1 (49:41):
It's only one thousand dollars, Miss Sophiel.
Speaker 9 (49:44):
What the hell you think I made up money?
Speaker 3 (49:46):
Maybe?
Speaker 1 (49:46):
I mean, if you have time to skip out and
work at jury duty. No, no, I'm not arguing whether
or not you were there. I know you weren't there.
Speaker 9 (49:55):
Oh, Mother of God, give me strengths.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
All right, So here's the address where you can send
the check.
Speaker 9 (50:01):
I'm not sending up check. I'm not. I can't afford it,
and I don't have to because I was there. I'm
not even writing the tab.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
Hey Marianne, you've just been phone taped by your daughter Carlina.
Speaker 9 (50:12):
Oh boy, you got me going, damn it. I'm a
good Simpson. I went to jewelry. When she gets home,
I'm going to kill him.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
Phone tap.
Speaker 4 (50:22):
Isn't that what a good citizen would do? Kill them
when they get home? It makes sense to me. Thank
you for that old school podcast. No, what was the
phone tap? Danielle?
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Yeah, that was from a long time You can hear
my voices from a long time.
Speaker 4 (50:36):
Ago, right, hers too. Anyway, that was worth a thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (51:47):
Also, let's go around the room. Let's get some sound

the morning, taking them on so many.
Speaker 2 (51:55):
Things, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 5 (52:00):

Speaker 12 (52:40):
I've been dancing around getting ready, making a mess of
my face.
Speaker 9 (52:43):
But I'm having a blessed.
Speaker 13 (52:46):
Memo.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
But it's Friday, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (52:53):
All right, all right, it's time to redo this place.
Hell have we been in the.
Speaker 3 (52:57):
Studio three and a half years.
Speaker 4 (53:00):
Yeah, okay, you know what, it's time to do something.
First of all, these stained chairs. Can't we get rid
of those those chairs up there on the little desks
or the stage whatever that is. Oh, get get out
of get them out of here. They're all stained.
Speaker 5 (53:16):
And the one looks like somebody was very sweaty at
the gym and then sat at it.
Speaker 4 (53:21):
Yes, well, whatever however the stain got there, Maybe some
coffee spills. I don't care. Love sacks. We need some
love sack stuff in here. Well, I love my love sack.
I love my love sack every chance I get. You know,
we have one in our TV room and it's it's
this bright turquoise and it kind of matches the it
matches the color and the theme of the room. And you
(53:43):
know when it's when it's TV night. We just kind
of pull it out and we like the two of
us and the two dogs. We all just pile on there.
That love Sack is just perfect.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
Well, you know what, a bright turquoise one would be
good in here because the painting has like turquoise in
the rainbow. It would pull the color.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
Out a little. Yeah, I think will be in this
place up. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
Okay, well I'm not bringing mine in there, but we
can get a new one, right. Do we have the
love Sack connection? Do we have Do we have someone
that loves sack?
Speaker 13 (54:09):
Yeah? Sure.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Every time you say love sack, I think love love sick.
Speaker 12 (54:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
Okay, that's gonna be their new whatever makes you think
of them.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (54:20):
We need something in the studio. It's just it's it.
Speaking of renovation, you know, I've bitched and moan about
that big lobby in our building for so many years,
and now they're redoing the lobby.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
Yeah, seeing the plans.
Speaker 4 (54:32):
Yes, of course I helped design.
Speaker 3 (54:34):
Wowf with you?
Speaker 4 (54:38):
What's wrong? What's wrong with my design?
Speaker 10 (54:40):
Whatever your design is, it appears to be something from
the nineteen seventies, with like wood baneling.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
Oh no, that's very chic right now. No, no, no, that
that yeah, no, you know that that mad Men kind
of look from Madison Avity. Absolutely, that's huge. It's it's
it's gonna warm up that. It seems like a mausoleum
down there. It's like it gets all marble, it gets
that out of it.
Speaker 3 (55:03):
Bring in the wood.
Speaker 4 (55:05):
Yeah, oh no, you're gonna like it. It's very tasteful.
Speaker 1 (55:07):
Maybe they need a love sack. Maybe you could get
them a couple of those.
Speaker 4 (55:10):
Yeah, we'll figure it out.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
But no.
Speaker 4 (55:13):
So during the renovation they had to rerouting everyone. You
have to go up staircases. The easiest way to get
here is you have to go up a couple of
flights of stairs too. To be exact and scary, is like,
oh no, there's got to be a better way there is.
I mean, you know they do have they do have
(55:35):
you know, that legal way to you because you have
to be able to get people up, you're in wheelchairs,
things like that.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
It takes longer, It takes you a little longer.
Speaker 1 (55:42):
I did it today. I did the new route today
just to see what it was like. I got here
a little early, so I was like, let me just
see and it was not that bad. I got up
the two flights of stairs. I do think that I
might have to carry a little less to work, But
it wasn't that bad. It actually, once you figure it out, fine.
They said you can take a different elevator, but that
(56:03):
one sometimes takes a long time.
Speaker 11 (56:05):
They have to go down. You gotta go up and
then down. But I would think, I don't know if
I think I want to take that route.
Speaker 10 (56:11):
Actually you're gonna go up to go down, and I'm
doing two flights of stairs.
Speaker 3 (56:15):
Scary.
Speaker 4 (56:15):
It's two flights of stairs, man, and you don't carry anything.
Speaker 11 (56:18):
You If I can look at this as part of
my daily exercise, then maybe I can adopt it.
Speaker 4 (56:24):
Alhama, look at it as you're part of coming to
work so you can get a paycheck.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
And they already have everything labeled with arrows so that
people don't get lost, and they tell you exactly where
you need to go the new place. So it's actually
they're they're organized.
Speaker 3 (56:41):
It'll be good.
Speaker 4 (56:41):
You'll miss it when it's gone. Scary, you know, Scary
is the guy who takes an uber to go two blocks.
Speaker 11 (56:47):
Although you'll be proud of me. The other night, I
walked the length of Hoboken to get home. I was
I went from the north end to the south end,
and I'm like, what's wrong with me? There's nothing wrong
with you. That's what people have been doing for years.
Walking it's good. Yeah, migration, it's all. It's all part
of our our makeup. But okay, so two flights of
(57:07):
stairs is not that bad.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Scary. Doctors say you should do six to eight a day.
Six to eight what flight stairs?
Speaker 4 (57:16):
What says the woman who's doing like sixty a day?
I mean, tell everyone how many stairs you take every
day during your exercise.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
So I've been really trying.
Speaker 10 (57:23):
I want to do fifty and then eventually I want
to do one hundred and ten because I want to
do the stairs at the World Trade Center, and I
believe it's one hundred and ten stories. So that is
what I would like to do. And it's telling you
running them is easier than walking them. Walking stairs is torture.
Running up them no problem you could do.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
Why is that? I have no idea? Your time to
process it?
Speaker 4 (57:46):
Yeah, I think the momentum carries you to the next step. Yeah, scary.
I hate to break this to you.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:56):
The length of Hoboken is roughly a mile.
Speaker 1 (58:01):
It didn't feel like that for him. It's been like
ten miles.
Speaker 11 (58:04):
You know, you're right, it's that they call it the
mile square City for that reason. Oh my god, that
was in I only walked a mile.
Speaker 4 (58:11):
I love how you walked it, like everybody look at it.
And I walked a mile.
Speaker 10 (58:15):
I did a nature walk with him, which he will
always tell you was a hike.
Speaker 3 (58:19):
It was not a hike.
Speaker 10 (58:20):
It was a nature walk on the flat ground in
Singapore or Singapore, and I would say seven minutes into it,
and the whole thing was less than a mile, by
the way, the whole thing seven minutes into it.
Speaker 3 (58:30):
He was like, have we reached the halfway point? This
has got we got to turn around, guys.
Speaker 11 (58:36):
It is It is very very humid there, so maybe
it's a human Thank you Elvis.
Speaker 3 (58:41):
It was well, but it's still only it's only a mile.
Speaker 11 (58:46):
It was hot and humid the other night and I
was wearing jeans.
Speaker 4 (58:50):
Oh can we talk about that. I have my rule.
It's just my rule. But just hear me out. No
jeans during the hot summer months. Why do why do
people were jeans in the summer. It's too hot, We're
cottons we're linen. Were's something other than jeans? All right,
wear them, I know. But you know what, if you
want to be old, sweaty down there, go ahead, sweat
(59:12):
away swamp swamp gunch.
Speaker 10 (59:16):
Oh, that's right, the best slur of the day.
Speaker 4 (59:23):
Not at all, nothing slurry about that. All right, we
need to let's go around the room. Let's see what's
on the minds of people in the room. Anyone wearing
cotton pants today, shorts like summary shorts? All right, uh scary.
We'll start with you.
Speaker 11 (59:40):
You know, chat Chibt cleared up a misconception that I've
had forever. I was always afraid that by eating too
many seeds, poppy seeds and sesame seeds, that they would
somehow get stuck in your body somewhere in a crevice
somewhere along the way. We have it's a long tracked well.
I found out that they actually dissolve. You're okay, eat
(01:00:03):
all the seeds you want, those little tiny black poppy seeds.
You're you're fine. But I but in my mind, every
time I eat a bagel with poppy seeds on it,
I'm thinking, like, oh my god, a couple of these
seeds are gonna end up somewhere, like somewhere halfway.
Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Through one of my my calling or something.
Speaker 11 (01:00:19):
But little did I know that it does break down
so it can't get stuck.
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
So eat away. Okay, thank you, Scary.
Speaker 4 (01:00:27):
Danielle.
Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
What's up with you today?
Speaker 17 (01:00:29):
So?
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
I don't know if you know a backpack, like you're
wearing a backpack right, I know in England they call
it a rucksack whatever, but I haven't called it a
book bag since I was in school. Well today some
guy says to me, hey, your book bag is open
because I had it on and I stopped for a
minute and I actually felt like a child for a
second and I'm like, oh, thanks, And I took it
(01:00:51):
off and I looked at it and I'm like, wow,
you just made me feel really young by telling me
I was wearing a book bag. I have not called
it a book bag.
Speaker 4 (01:00:59):
And I what do you call it?
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
I call it a backpack or you know, yeah, backpack
and get my back age book. It booked back to
me is like when you're in school. So it was
really weird to hear and I got like this throwback
when I was a child. It was crazy, the weirdest
feeling I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:01:14):
Are you gonna wear it to the cafeteria for lunch today?
Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
I will, yes, the Jamaican Beef patty day.
Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
It is Friday's Jamaican bef No, no, it's Friday's beet patties.
It's cardboard Peacha day. Hey Froggy, what's up with you today?
Speaker 15 (01:01:27):
So from a Danielle phil and young moment to me
being an old man. Yesterday I had to called around
a couple of stores. I had to find my voltaire in,
which is the ointment that you're rubbing your joints for
arthritis pain. Yeah, so I probably found the place that
had it, and it was publics. Publics had it. I
walked in. What song do you think was playing in publics?
(01:01:47):
When I walked in? What John Scotta? Just then others walking.
Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
See what we did there?
Speaker 15 (01:01:54):
I mean it was right on you of the part
of the part that everybody knows. And I'd caught myself
singing it in the store and some lady goes, oh, you.
Speaker 4 (01:02:03):
Know all the words? Oh great.
Speaker 15 (01:02:05):
I'm like, yeah, I'm here to get my arth right.
It's medicine singing John Sakata. I'm an old man.
Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
That's off.
Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
There you go John Sakata very important to our show.
If you listened yesterday, then you know when you know,
you know, Hey it gandhi, what's up?
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
All right?
Speaker 10 (01:02:17):
If you feel like something is off and people are
telling you it's fine, don't worry about it. Always go
with your gut because something might be off. I don't
know if you saw the family story from California, where
the family thought, I keep hearing noises, I keep hearing
doors shutting. It feels like somebody is around, and they
followed the sounds because then they started to hear alarms
going off, like a phone alarm.
Speaker 3 (01:02:38):
Over and over. They end up finding underneath.
Speaker 10 (01:02:41):
Their back deck there's an area dug out like a
little basement cellar, and somebody.
Speaker 3 (01:02:45):
Was living in it. Oh god, full time.
Speaker 10 (01:02:48):
They found fans, they found cleaning supplies, they found tarps,
they said, they found a black tube that seemed like
it had drugs in it. And the entire time other
people were saying, I don't know, I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
Really hear it. You guys are probably just being paranoid.
Maybe it's a ghost. Nope, people were living under their decks.
So oh, if you feel weird, there's probably reasonable. That's crazy, yeah,
people living under your house. I know there's someone living
under me because I'm in an apartment, so it's.
Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
Okay, well pretty much, Yeah, that's pretty much a done deal. Hey,
straight and eight. What's up with you my fellows that
wear boxer briefs?
Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
Raise your hands? Who hear?
Speaker 4 (01:03:21):
Anybody?
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
Anybody? Anybody?
Speaker 5 (01:03:22):
You almost do you have a problem with them riding
up and kind of giving you a little bit of
a wedge.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Maybe sometimes up on your legs, on your thumb, not between.
Speaker 5 (01:03:32):
Yeah, yeah, I've been having that issue. They've been riding
up on my thighs. You know what the solution is,
get longer boxer briefs. It's kind of counterintuitive, but I
tried it out. The longer the boxer brief, the less
they ride up.
Speaker 6 (01:03:46):
How crazy is that?
Speaker 5 (01:03:48):
So, guys, if you're wearing pants and you're worried about
your underwear getting in your crack there, get longer underwear you.
Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Like long John's. It's it's gonna be to that point.
Speaker 4 (01:03:58):
At some point.
Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Yeah, it worked.
Speaker 9 (01:04:00):
I was.
Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
It's amazed the Internet rescue all right, I think we
all do. We all get in for around the room.
By the way, scary and people are texting in about
your seed conversation. Yeah, uh, diver u diverticulitis, yes, and diverticulosis.
I had that at one time, and seeds do get
stuck in your in your intestines and it can be bad.
(01:04:23):
I thought that I was having some major major problem
in my stomach and we went and checked it out,
and that's what it was. It's a little tear in
the intestine which seeds get stuck in there.
Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
So do you mean chat ept let him astray? I
do believe.
Speaker 12 (01:04:38):
So, I can't.
Speaker 3 (01:04:38):
I can't imagine why.
Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
But if you don't have it, you're fine.
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
I guess I know a lot of people that have it. Actually,
my hairdresser has it. She sometimes goes to the hospital
if she eats the wrong thing like that, like a
seed thing.
Speaker 13 (01:04:48):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
Yeah, it's not good.
Speaker 10 (01:04:52):
What nothing, I'm just scarce like so I learned today.
And it's always something medical and it's always wrong.
Speaker 11 (01:04:57):
So give you diverticulitis or if you have the diverticulitis.
Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
And you have I think you know if you have it,
you should avoid I mean, I mean things get stuck
in there and it can be very painful.
Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
Okay, So they.
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
Said rupert here has diverticulitis. Maybe you can ask him
about the seats scared.
Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
Okay, they told me I had it, but I haven't
had a problem since then. That was years ago, so
I don't know. I don't think it heals. But obviously
I you know, I have self stapling going on down there.
Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
I don't know how it works. I'm sure you'll find out.
Speaker 9 (01:05:29):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
We have sound coming up in a few minutes with Garrett.
What else are we doing to play?
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
Can we play a song? It's Friday? You play a song?
Speaker 4 (01:05:35):
Yeah, definitely?
Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
Like what what do we want to hear? Make a
request any of the Friday songs? Did you guys want
Friday song?
Speaker 12 (01:05:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:05:41):
Yeah, yeah, you go down the Friday song list.
Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
That's we had a party on the broken hearted bang bang.
Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Bang bang Okay, yeah, okay, broken arm bang bank what what?
Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:05:56):
I'm voting with Danielle either broken hearted or bang bang?
Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
But what else? You say?
Speaker 7 (01:06:00):
I like?
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Those don't stop me? Now?
Speaker 18 (01:06:03):
Hold on?
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Those were off the top of my head. I have
to actually find it, all right, I'll give you broken hearted?
Speaker 4 (01:06:07):
Yeah, turn it up, scary? Can you push the button
for me?
Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
There you go?
Speaker 17 (01:06:10):
Here we go?
Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
Yes, do you guys, remember Carmen, Yes, yes, get carry out?
Oh thank you Carmen. Broken hearted. Let's get into the
three things we need to know from Ghandi and on
with the day. What's going on Gandhi?
Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
All right?
Speaker 10 (01:06:32):
I don't know if you guys have been following along
with this story, but a new aircraft carrier is now
being sent to the Middle East and mid reports of
mental health concerns among the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln.
The USS George Washington reportedly left Vietnam last week, and
we'll be replacing the Lincoln, which has been at sea
for over two hundred and sixty five days. The USS
Abraham Lincoln left San Diego in late November, taking part
(01:06:54):
in the conflict in Iran and setting a modern carrier
record for its deployment.
Speaker 3 (01:06:59):
Have you guys any of this?
Speaker 10 (01:07:00):
There were reports that a lot of the sailors on
board were trying to jump overboard because they had just
had it with the amount of time that they had
been gone scary.
Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
Are you okay? Sorry, he's like choking, I'm going on
over there? Okay, I wasn't. I'm sorry, I wasn't sure
if you were like laughing at what was happening with you. Okay,
you're good. Oh he's still choking all right.
Speaker 10 (01:07:18):
Flock is adding new security features to its surveillance system
after multiple reports of police I.
Speaker 13 (01:07:24):
Know you see it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
It's hard to do this.
Speaker 4 (01:07:27):
Scary, get up, scary.
Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
The serious story mind. Okay, Nate, Nate, Okay, hold on, Nate,
you go over and.
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
Take over for scary. Scary get out of the room,
go cover it now now. Now Nate's coughing. Everyone's falling apart.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
Wait, I'm gonna follow him because I'm nervous.
Speaker 3 (01:07:45):
He's gonna very rad Yeah, he was truly trying to
hold it in. Okay, he ate his seed.
Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
I'm thinking, Lord, don't right start? Can we started over?
Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
Okays?
Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
Carry go on.
Speaker 10 (01:07:55):
Flock adding new security features to its surveillance system after
multiple reports of police using those cameras. Flock uses AI
to scan and collect data on license plates. We know
that it's shared by police departments across the US.
Speaker 12 (01:08:07):
Now.
Speaker 10 (01:08:07):
Dozens of officers across the country have been accused of
using the system for personal use, including stalking former partners.
On Thursday, the CEO of Flock Safety announced new guardrails,
like requiring police to label every search with a case
number and starting an automatic review for anything that appears
to be an abnormal search activity.
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Hold on from number three. Is he okay?
Speaker 10 (01:08:27):
Good dude, he's okay now, he said, he's telling what
you said in the hallway.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
But the healthy thing, well, first of all, water went
down the wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
Okay, all right, we're not done with the three things,
by the way, and the last thing.
Speaker 10 (01:08:44):
A hurricane warning has been issued for Hawaii's Big Island
as tropical storm Lalla approaches. Meanwhile, officials are urging residents
to finalize storm preparations. The National Hurricane Center forecasts La
La to get stronger and says it could reach hurricane
strength as it bears down on the Big Island and tomorrow.
It's expected to pass south of the smaller islands through
the rest of the weekend. Forecasters predict five to ten
(01:09:06):
inches of rain, with isolated totals reaching twenty inches and
life threatening flooding possible.
Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
And those are your three things? All right?
Speaker 4 (01:09:15):
Thank you all?
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
Now, yes, yeah, we're fun.
Speaker 3 (01:09:20):
The Morning Show on Live.
Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Elvis d Ran in the Morning Show. See Elvis d
Ran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
I'm still having trouble getting used to this women's blouse
that I'm wearing.
Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
I really like that shirt though it fits you nicely.
Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
Well, no, I like it too, but it's it's the
buttons are backwards. I mean, I don't care that it's
a woman's garment. That doesn't bother me. It's just the
actual backwards buttons.
Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
I'm not used to this.
Speaker 4 (01:09:48):
Well, you could take them off and resow the whole thing.
What really, then you have to move your slits to
the other side, wouldn't it, Yeah, and make some new slits.
Speaker 17 (01:09:58):
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 4 (01:09:59):
No, Okay, bad idea might not have been a good one,
but it was a solution. Okay, thank you. But maybe
I need to just get used to it. Yeah, I mean, Danielle,
is it easy for you to put on a guy
shirt where the buttons on it are on the other side.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
I don't really try it very often, but I get
I wouldn't think it's that big a deal. And if
you don't tell people, who's gonna know? Everything's interchangeable? Now come,
I have a couple of.
Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
Guys shirts and it doesn't I don't even think about it. Now,
you don't. I can't. I can't.
Speaker 4 (01:10:27):
I feel like I have to like, oh, put my
left hand over the right side of my body, my
right hand. I got it, Okay, hold on, Nate, as
another solution, what do I do because I can't button
it backward?
Speaker 5 (01:10:40):
Turn the shirt inside out? Well, then the label will
be on the outside, but at least the buttons will
be in the right order and orientation was on the inside.
Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Well, at least he can reach in through the thing
and then like up the shirt. Well maybe you can.
You could come over and put your hands up my
shirt and button it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
What is this look like?
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Inside out? Does it even look okay?
Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
The promise?
Speaker 4 (01:11:03):
Terrible idea, And I don't know what happens to the
caller if it's inside he anybody else coming up with solutions?
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
I've given solutions. Just leave it alone. Yeah you look good?
Hold on, hold on, he's got another one. I got what.
Speaker 4 (01:11:20):
Just leave it buttoned and put it on like a
T shirt.
Speaker 13 (01:11:24):
Bam.
Speaker 4 (01:11:24):
You don't even have to worry about the buttons anymore,
you know what. That actually is the best solution other
than just getting over it and just learning how to
button this way?
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
What a fixer? I like it though, No big deal?
Speaker 7 (01:11:43):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
Or just throw it throw it out? Problem solved. Problem solved.
I'll put it in that box down the street behind
the church and then a woman.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
Will get it. A woman will get it.
Speaker 4 (01:11:56):
No one will know what this's ever happened. Come on
it upside down? Yeah, there you go, zero sense. Hey,
what what happened to Scotty this morning?
Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
Do we want to get.
Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
Can we get into this on the airs?
Speaker 7 (01:12:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
Yeah, yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:12:14):
Can we have to the top dog law.
Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
On the home? What did you do? What did you do? Well?
Speaker 14 (01:12:19):
Okay, So every year, every day, every morning before I
go to work, since my kids have been babies, you know,
before I leave for work at four o'clock in the morning,
I'll go into their room and like, you know, either
like touch the forehead or you know, just give them
a little pat that you know that I was there,
they know that dad was in there, And yeah, I
do it every day. So this morning I went into
my my daughter Ashley's room, and uh, you know, before
(01:12:40):
I left, I just her head was turned, so I
rubbed her arm and then I walked out and closed
her door. And then when I left for work, I
noticed that there were two cars parked outside, which means
she had friends sleepover. It's very it's very dark in
her room because there's no nightlight or anything like that.
And I'm ninety nine percent short that I touched one
of her friends because because oh my god, like the head,
(01:13:08):
the head moved as I did it, and I was
and then I just walked out like it was nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
And then I went outside. I saw the cars, and
I was instantly like, oh my god, you're going to
jail Scott.
Speaker 14 (01:13:19):
The whole drive in, I was like, oh my god,
was that her? I don't think that was her T shirt?
And so I texted her immediately. I said, oh my god,
I'm so sorry. I didn't know you had friends sleepover,
and I think I might have touched one of them
by mistake.
Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
I was so sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:13:32):
Should we can we get her?
Speaker 7 (01:13:33):
Well?
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Hold on hold, Like, can we get her on the phone?
Speaker 14 (01:13:35):
My god, she's not gonna wait up for two hours,
but I mean we could try, but I just I don't,
I like, I don't want one of the friends like
tell their parents.
Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
Ashley's dad is such a creeper. He walked in and
touched me and left. It was unintentional. That is awesome.
Speaker 14 (01:13:53):
She was fantastic, like, because she'll have friends sleepover, and
I look out my window before I leave, and if
I see a car there, I don't go. Went to
her room because I know somebody slept.
Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
Don't you normally say to you, hey, Dad, I'm having.
Speaker 14 (01:14:04):
Them sleep because she makes that decision at eleven o'clock
at night. I'm long sleeping, you know. But the two
cars were parked behind the trees, and I didn't see
them out my window. So I just went in and
oh my god, that walked out. God, they're never going
to set your house again each other parents that you randomly.
Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
Dad came in and rubbed my shoulder.
Speaker 14 (01:14:23):
Yes, oh lord, I can't imagine sleeping over there at
a friend's house this hand. I don't know who was
in my arm, if it was Ava or Jaden or
I don't know who it was, but I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:14:36):
Is one of them hotter than the other? Please?
Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
How old are they?
Speaker 14 (01:14:44):
How old are they either eighteen or nineteen eighteen? I guess, God, God,
at least I can't go to jail. I'll just be creepy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:56):
Four o'clock to strangers.
Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
I wish Chris Hansen walked in right now. That would
be kind of funny.
Speaker 14 (01:15:04):
Like my heart was pounding the whole way to work.
I'm like, I didn't. It was so unattention and it
might have been her. I don't know, it might have
been her. I just don't think that was her T shirt.
You'll find out later. You'll find out later, Okay, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:15:16):
It's always something, always something. Hold on, hold on? Did
you have all your clothes on when leaving?
Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
For word? God?
Speaker 4 (01:15:27):
The shirtless man walked into your room last nightday?
Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
Who was playing with me?
Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
My shoulders? She turned around and said, oh, mister Bowden,
I've been waiting for you. I've been attracted to you
as well.
Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
Oh my god, it's sweating down. That's terribly sick.
Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
I think I think you're gonna be Okay, there's a
chance it'll be okay.
Speaker 14 (01:15:57):
I have to figure out whose cars they were and
text now.
Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
I'm so sorry. What if she had a boy over
last night and you caressed a God, I feel like
I would have known that and I would have dragged
him out of the bed. Yeah, I'm so tough, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
All right, let's get into sound with Garrett. He's got
which new music? It's new music Friday?
Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
What are you going on?
Speaker 13 (01:16:20):
Here?
Speaker 5 (01:16:20):
We go?
Speaker 16 (01:16:21):
So a few months ago five seconds of Summer gave
this the song evolved. Well, they gave us a remix
last night and they put a little club sound to
it like that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
Is that it very European? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
Right there?
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 16 (01:16:41):
Zerb is a Brazilian Brazilian DJ teaming up with Diamond's
favorite Khalid.
Speaker 4 (01:16:45):
This is called Faded Eyes. All right, all right, all right?
Andy Grammar has All I Want?
Speaker 5 (01:17:02):
Is you?
Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
All right? All right?
Speaker 4 (01:17:18):
Becky g has a song calledula.
Speaker 14 (01:17:22):
I Love You.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
I'm enjoying.
Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
See that's kind of music I want in the background
all week and long. Right there, Thank you, Becky.
Speaker 16 (01:17:36):
And then finally cats I have an album out and
off of that, everyone's talking about hoodie fruity.
Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
Like that, and there you go.
Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
Did you hang out with Catsaw yesterday?
Speaker 3 (01:17:56):
I did hang out with kats yesterday.
Speaker 12 (01:17:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
I got some really interesting info from them. Did you
get the hoodie fruity from them? I got the hootie
pretty all of it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:06):
Oh wow, we're having some pushback.
Speaker 3 (01:18:08):
Oh no about what?
Speaker 4 (01:18:09):
Oh someone from Erica two o three, the Girls being
eighteen to nineteen doesn't make it? Okay, you creep, Get
that loser off your show.
Speaker 15 (01:18:15):
Oh do it on purpose, purposely, jackass.
Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
He thought daughter in the morning. The second sentence, they
had a point.
Speaker 1 (01:18:26):
I guarantee they didn't hear the whole conference.
Speaker 3 (01:18:29):
There's no way.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
I think it was so sweet.
Speaker 10 (01:18:32):
Like my dad one hundred percent would have done something
like that without doubt. He used to come in and
say good morning to us all the time. I could
see him without a doubt, not knowing somebody else was
there and doing the same thing and then being like,
oh damn, yeah whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
I don't know. I think Scotty knew who they were.
Speaker 17 (01:18:46):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (01:18:48):
I don't think.
Speaker 4 (01:18:50):
I mean, I agree with this person from Ariyo two
oh three. No, I would never you know, that's stupid. Yeah,
get out of here. Let me block and screw that.
Oh yeah, but you know, after a while, we're not
can't have anyone left. We're blocking all the morons anyway. Okay,
hold on, Oh god, I'm getting a call from my
(01:19:11):
friend with Nassau County Police.
Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
Picked this up.
Speaker 4 (01:19:19):
Go to voicemail. Why you still have voicemail? Hey, Danielle,
what do you have coming up?
Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
Same thing as before that.

Speaker 18 (01:20:01):

Speaker 18 (01:20:07):

Elvis in the Morning show.
Speaker 4 (01:22:49):
All right, we gotta get into the Danielle Report. Let's
see what else do we want to do today. I
have some more trouble we can get.
Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
Into if you bucked. Oh good, hang out.
Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
We'll start with you, daniel Danielle, you're the first trouble
will call during this nice little break, and then we'll
get into more trouble.
Speaker 1 (01:23:04):
Go ahead, you're Did we know that the new season
of Heated Rivalry was coming in spring of twenty twenty seven? Yes, okay,
you told to make sure I did. I don't remember
telling you. A new story came out yesterday and it
just showed us new cast members that are going to
be on the show. So if you want to look,
you can take a look at the list. But yeah,
there will be some new cast members in spring of
(01:23:25):
twenty twenty seven, and they are filming right now. So
more details have come out from Warner Brothers negotiations with
the primary players in the Barbie sequel. So apparently they
have made six offers and each offer has been rejected.
Movie rights will go back to Mattel if the studio
can't reach a deal by December with Margot Robbie, Ryan Goslin,
(01:23:47):
and Greta Gerwig who brings us the movie. She's the writer,
the director. Now, Warner Brothers offered Ryan twenty million, Margot
Robbie fifty million, which kind of equals what she made
in salary and revenue from the twenty twenty three movie.
But the sources saying that even though they're satisfied with
the upfront salaries, they don't want to sign a contract
unless Warner Brothers offers them a larger back end deal,
(01:24:09):
including a percentage at the box office revenue, which it's
like gonna make so much money. So I don't blame
them for holding out and wanting more, right, I mean,
come on, so crazy. Let's see. So before I told
you about celebrities that tip big, well what are the
celebrities that practically don't tip at all? These are waiters
(01:24:30):
and waitresses that actually have encountered these different celebrities at
different times. So one person said Jay Z was not
only rude, but he didn't tip at all. Stanley Tucci,
somebody said, I waited on Stanley Tucci and a couple
of other people. Nothing went wrong with their meal, and
they were all nice enough, but Stanley left less than
(01:24:51):
a ten percent tip on a five hundred dollars bill. Yes,
Stanley not good. John Cena, it says, not only did
he not tip me, he ghosted the bill all together.
What that's crazy? And somebody else is saying that when
she served Jennifer Lopez, that Jennifer and her entourage ran
(01:25:11):
her friend, ragged, insulted him, held up the table for
three plus hours, and then didn't even tip. So I
don't know that those are sad stories. Hopefully you know
it's only one encounter and that they don't normally do this.
You know, The twenty twenty six Global Citizen Festival will
take over Central Park's Great Lawn on September twenty sixth.
I know we were chatting about this yesterday, but if
(01:25:32):
you missed it, Lauren Hill, Wyclef, Jean Lenny Kravitch, John Legend, Shaboozy,
Lady Wilson, Hugh Jackman will be your host, and so
many other people are going to be there, and you know,
in order to get your tickets, I think you should just,
you know, go check out the Global Citizen app. Download
it and you can find out all of the information there.
And Perez Helton's sister, I don't know if you saw
(01:25:54):
her yesterday, but she released a statement opening up about
her brother's darkest date, and she said she wants to
say this because she wants the public to hear directly
from somebody who witnessed the incident. And she also asked
for compassion. She goes, whatever you think about Mario, that's
Prais Hilton's real name. By the way, his children and
our mother are innocent, so please give them the grace
(01:26:17):
that they deserve. And then she also thanked other people
for their kind messages, prayers and people who actually were
concerned for him. You can read more about it. It
is so sad to read what she witnessed and how
when she walked into the bathroom it was like she
didn't even recognize her brother. She didn't even know was
her brother standing there because he was just so out
of it and going through something so crazy. So thankfully
(01:26:39):
like he's getting the help that he needs. So what
are we watching? If you're going to the movies this weekend?
The end of Oak Street. You've got Papatroll the Dino movie.
I know our boy Juju Green is gonna be on
with us in a little while to tell us what
we should be seeing. You also have preseason football. Are
you excited?
Speaker 3 (01:26:54):
Froggy Els? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:26:56):
The Jets and the Buccaneers go at it. Tonight, so
that will be on. You also have Don't Say good
Luck on Peak on No Netflix, Peacock gives you girls
like Girls. There's a bunch of other things as well,
like Disney Princess, The Ultimate Concert over on ABC, Walking Dead,
Dead City. So a lot of fun stuff to check
out this weekend. And that is my Danielle report.
Speaker 4 (01:27:19):
You keep missing the Shards. I don't know why you
hate the Sharks.
Speaker 1 (01:27:22):
Because the Shards already dropped, so it's not news.
Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
Well I know, but people are still still and I
don't put it.
Speaker 1 (01:27:27):
Okay, but I like a lot of shows. I don't
put them all on the list if they don't drop
next week when the Sharks dropped the fifth episode, I'll
put the Shards back on the list.
Speaker 4 (01:27:36):
All right, fine, fine, okay, that's your system. Hey, when
Juju Green is on next, I hope he talks about
Tony the biographical movie about Anthony Bourdain. Is anyone else
fascinated with Anthony Bourdaine looking?
Speaker 3 (01:27:51):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
I'm looking forward to this. I was reading over the weekend.
Bordaine actually said he loved Tokyo, that was his favorite
city in the world because it gave him something. No
other city could give him the ability to disappear completely
into a place that had no interest in who he
was at all. I just I loved his I loved
(01:28:12):
his approach to life, into learning about new cultures through
their food, but beyond, I just love them. But they're
saying that this guy who plays Tony uh does a
great job Anthony and Uh. Anyway, Matt Johnson and Matt
Johnson directed it. What's like the actor's name, Oh, Dominic
(01:28:34):
CSSI Yeah, yeah, that's it.
Speaker 3 (01:28:37):
I can't wait.
Speaker 4 (01:28:38):
I think it's out now, but it's not on wide
release yet. Hopefully he'll talk about that that's coming up
in a few minutes.
Speaker 9 (01:28:43):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:28:44):
Is this the remix from Ignition?
Speaker 12 (01:28:51):
But here we can go here and break them off
with the little previews of the Remixlvister.
Speaker 2 (01:28:57):
Ran in the Morning Show, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 4 (01:29:06):
We don't even think about watching anything on streaming or
going to a theater, but unless we check in with
our friend Juju Green beforehand. Juju is here to fill
us in. He's got new material, new meat for us
to discover. Hi, Juju, welcome to the show.
Speaker 6 (01:29:19):
Hey guys, how's it going? I do have new meat?
Speaker 4 (01:29:24):
Well, we got, we got some juicy meat. All right,
Where do you want to start?
Speaker 12 (01:29:28):
I got to start with this one movie that I
just saw, and it's it's flying under the radar right now.
But guys, this is a hell of a movie, a
great movie. It's the return of Matthew McConaughey to the
big screen in six years. It's The Rivals of Anaziah King.
You can watch this one in theaters. And this movie
has so many genres but it all works so well.
Do you guys know how dark and competitive and mafia
(01:29:52):
like the bee keeping industry.
Speaker 3 (01:29:54):
Is, Well, it was never heard of that. I love
it really.
Speaker 6 (01:29:59):
It is at absolutely competitive, and I was shocked.
Speaker 12 (01:30:02):
It's about a man played by Matthew McConaughey whose falster
daughter returns and he shows her the ways of beekeeping.
But he has a bunch of rivals that are willing
to do a lot of crazy things to steal his
bees to make sure he's no longer living, to do
all these things in order to make the money from
his honey. So it's crazy, it's insane, but it has heart.
(01:30:24):
It's very hopecore, but it's very dark. There's murder, there's
a lot of things that go on in this movie,
and bluegrass music is so beautiful, and I started listening
to bluegrass because of this movie because he plays a
banjo most of the time. So I would say The
Rivals of Amzia King it is probably gonna be the
best movie that you watch in the theater this weekend.
Speaker 6 (01:30:45):
It comes out this weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
Of course, he was playing his banjo with Jimmy Fallon
on The Tonight Show doing some bodgrass height.
Speaker 3 (01:30:52):
Look at that.
Speaker 6 (01:30:52):
It didn't this sound great?
Speaker 4 (01:30:53):
Didn't sound the Rivals of Amsiah King.
Speaker 3 (01:30:56):
Now that is in theaters.
Speaker 12 (01:30:58):
That is in theaters in August fourteenth, this weekend, so yes, perfect,
we can watch it right now.
Speaker 3 (01:31:06):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (01:31:06):
And also he will be on our podcast Get Reck
withstrag Goofy, so look for that episode this weekend as well.
Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Good going.
Speaker 12 (01:31:12):
Yeah, he was a great He was a great hang
great talk, great guy. I love his accent. Next movie.
Next movie is on Netflix. You guys have probably already
seen it. It came out last week, but we didn't
get a chance to talk about it. But I'm bringing
it up in case you haven't seen it. It's called
The Last House, The Last House staring Vagna More and
Greta Lee, and it is basically a movie about COVID
(01:31:34):
with monsters in it. It's essentially about this family who
get locked into their house by this entity. But it's
not just them, it's their entire neighborhood, possibly the entire world.
And the thing that's keeping them inside is the rain
and the water outside. So they end up getting locked
into their house, not just for a couple of weeks,
not just for a couple of months before a couple
(01:31:55):
of years. So you're watching this family survive in one
house for a couple of years and how they're trying
to get food, survive, not go insane, while also dealing
with the entities that are outside. So The Last House
is one of those movies that's a good watch on
a Saturday with your friends, with your fam and it
reminds you of a not so kind time of twenty twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
Well, you know this is making my anxiety levels? Yeah,
screeched to the top.
Speaker 4 (01:32:22):
I saw the previous for it. It looks like it's
a it's a very creepy, creepy film.
Speaker 3 (01:32:28):
Do you want it?
Speaker 6 (01:32:29):
Do you want your anxiety levels to go higher? There's
a dog in the movie as well.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
Oh no, no, do live if they kill the dog?
Do they kill the dog? The movie? The dog is
in it.
Speaker 6 (01:32:40):
That's all I will say.
Speaker 4 (01:32:45):
You're locked in now.
Speaker 12 (01:32:47):
This next movie, also in theaters, came out last week
and we have been lovingly referred to it as the
Perge sex movie.
Speaker 6 (01:32:56):
One Night Only is a movie that says the purge
with you know, a rom com, and it's.
Speaker 12 (01:33:05):
One. It's essentially existing in a world where you can
only have premarital sex one time a year. It's illegal
to have sex premaritally. And these two people meet each
other and they fall in love and they want to
have sex, but they live in a part society where
they can't do that.
Speaker 6 (01:33:22):
So how do you start a relationship by only having sex?
Speaker 4 (01:33:25):
What time of year? But you don't want to get married?
Speaker 6 (01:33:27):
It's one night only, so I would check that one out.
Speaker 4 (01:33:30):
It sounds like being married, more like.
Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
A little bit, a little bit.
Speaker 12 (01:33:36):
If you want to get some believability in your movie, right,
you gotta suspend your disbelief for this one, all right,
This next one, and this one is a very close
one to my heart, and I'm glad that everyone will
get a chance to actually see this the way I've
always wanted to see it.
Speaker 6 (01:33:51):
The movie is called Your Name.
Speaker 12 (01:33:54):
It is an anime film is getting his ten year
anniversary re release this weekend that you can watch theaters.
This is guys, listen, are you ready for this? This
is one of my four movies that I consider perfect.
There's Shawshank Redemption, There's Her, There's e T and there's
Your Name. And this is getting a four K re
release in theaters. It is a body swap romantic comedy
(01:34:17):
about two kids, two teenagers in Tokyo, and they swap
bodies four times out the weekend. They don't know why.
It's The animation is beautiful. The music is so beautiful,
so beautiful. In fact, two days after watching the movie,
I went out and bought a piano just so I
can learn the score.
Speaker 1 (01:34:35):
How did that go for you?
Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
God?
Speaker 12 (01:34:39):
If I could pick up this camera, I can show
you that I did learn a couple of songs from
the movie.
Speaker 4 (01:34:44):
Wow, that's a movie that really hits. By the way,
Your Name is getting ninety eight percent Rotten Tomatoes.
Speaker 6 (01:34:51):
It is a perfect film. It is a perfect film.
If you accident, can.
Speaker 3 (01:34:55):
I ask what makes a perfect film?
Speaker 12 (01:34:58):
Well, it's a personal subjective thing, right, So like for me,
like I guess I only have those four films. So
for me, this movie puts me through the entire emotional
spectrum it is. It is beautiful in a sense of
like you know, interpersonal relationships, relationships. The animation just makes
me melt every single time. Everything looks like a painting.
Like I said, the music is great, but then by
the time you get to the end, you are clutching
(01:35:20):
your seat because it is that romantic. When I went
to Tokyo, remember when I was talking to you guys
from Tokyo, I went and visited the iconic steps from
that movie because I had to just feel what that
movie felt like, and I kind of teared up.
Speaker 6 (01:35:32):
That's how much that movie means.
Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
Wow. Okay, so that's awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:35:36):
And I wasn't the only one there either.
Speaker 3 (01:35:40):
All right, Yeah, what a list? You have more?
Speaker 4 (01:35:43):
This is a very very full of love lists so
far I have.
Speaker 12 (01:35:48):
I have one more and it's also in theaters in
theaters this weekend. How big of a fan are you,
guys of Anthony Bourdain? Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:35:56):
Huge, oh massive?
Speaker 4 (01:35:57):
Yes, dying to see this film.
Speaker 12 (01:35:59):
I've heard nothing but great things about this Tony his
biopic starring domin Eccessa, who I haven't seen a lot
of since Oh my God, The Holdovers, The Holdovers, which
he was great in, he was in Now You See
Me three. But he is absolutely incredible in this movie
as Anthony Bourdain. You know, if you're if you're a
(01:36:20):
fan of him, I feel like a lot of people
will like this is one of the best biopicks out there.
Speaker 3 (01:36:23):
So go see it.
Speaker 12 (01:36:24):
Tony starring domin Eccessa. If you like Anthony Bourdain, go
check it out.
Speaker 7 (01:36:29):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
I will tell you.
Speaker 4 (01:36:29):
I have people in my life who were friends with him,
and they said, and they've seen this, they saw the
previews and they they say, he captures him beautifully. It's
not exactly him, but it is. And they said, just
go see it and you'll you'll be very glad you did.
All right, let's go down the Juju the Juju Green
List Rivals of Amziah King. Do we know that Beekeeping
(01:36:52):
had mobsters?
Speaker 8 (01:36:54):
Now?
Speaker 13 (01:36:54):
I do?
Speaker 4 (01:36:55):
Also the last House we're talking about COVID mobster and
being stuck in your house with your family for a
year and a half. And uh yeah, if it's that's streaming,
not in theaters, right, it's streaming on Netflix, yes, right now,
one night only. That's you can only have pre marital
sex one night per year.
Speaker 3 (01:37:14):
Are you we in? Are we in?
Speaker 13 (01:37:16):
Hell?
Speaker 4 (01:37:22):
And of course Juju shared his one of his favorite
of four films from his entire life, Your Name. He
actually loved the score so much he went out and
bought a piano so you can learn the score, which
says a lot about you. And I want to go
see it because I learn more about our friend Juju
through this movie. And Tony, if you love Anthony Bourdain
and all things Anthony Bourdain, Tony is the biopic and
(01:37:44):
it comes out this weekend, right, Yes, comes out this
week okay?
Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
And Juju, I saw Obsession and I threw up. Just
want you to thank you.
Speaker 6 (01:37:53):
You tell me which part you remember?
Speaker 1 (01:37:55):
The sandwich? Yeah, let's just play.
Speaker 4 (01:38:00):
I can slice thin. And of course with Matthew McConaughey
coming up on his on his podcast, check him out.
Do a search for straw Hat, Goofy Juju Green has
aliases for some reason. Juju, thanks you for coming on
with us and we'll see you next time. Okay, thank
you so much. This is awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:38:23):
I will be in New York next week, so I
will see you personally.
Speaker 4 (01:38:28):
Don't don't make promises you can't keep.
Speaker 3 (01:38:29):
Now juju, I'll be there, don't.
Speaker 4 (01:38:32):
Right, thanks, let's do it.
Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
We can't do the show well, I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
I have the wrong microphoe.
Speaker 2 (01:38:41):
I truly just look for listening to each one of
your voices, every sing with Elvis Duran in the morning show.
Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
All right, shows done, Let's get out of here until
next time. Say peace out everybody, geese out everybody.
