Speaker 1 (00:00):
Portions of this program were pre-recorded.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hello, ladies.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Hello, hello.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
Hello, hello, hello, hello. Hello, hello, hello, hello.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Hello, ladies.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hello, ladies.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Hello, ladies.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (00:24):
I'm changing my mind.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Maybe we should hear a little of that to start
our show. They kicked off the NFL season with this
last night. So there you go. Another reason to play it. Yeah,
NFL season started last night. Froggy, were you watching? I did.
I saw the Seattle Seahawks come back and beat the Patriots.
There you go. Tonight we have more. They're actually in
Australia tonight, aren't they not?

Speaker 6 (00:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (00:48):
They are.

Speaker 8 (00:49):
The 49ers and the Rams play tonight. You can only
watch it on Netflix.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
There you go. So last night was NBC, I believe.
And then tonight Netflix. They're all over the place. Oh,
what are you going to do? Hey, well, welcome to
the day. It is Thursday. It's Food News Thursday. It's
September 10th. Thursday, our favorite day of the week. Good morning, Danielle.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Good morning, Gandhi. Good morning. Good morning. I love saying this.
Producer Sam. Good morning. Good morning. Scotty B at Master Control. Hi,
good morning. Buenos dias, senor. Buenos dias. There's Froggy sitting
over there.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
And I see, let's see, Scary. Scary.

Speaker 7 (01:26):
Hello.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Good morning. And Diamond.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Oh, Diamond. Diamond.

Speaker 9 (01:31):
Diamond.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Hello. Hello.

Speaker 10 (01:33):
Morning.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Oh, there she is. Someone's having a birthday soon. Is
it Diamond?

Speaker 10 (01:36):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 11 (01:38):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
We're going to celebrate. All right, all right. As we
learned yesterday, this song was actually at number 11 on
the U.S. dance charts. I guess you can dance to this.
I could see a mirror ball up on the dance
floor with Nirvana. Well, welcome to Thursday. There you go.

(02:01):
A nice gentle song to wake you slowly. Thank you, Nirvana.
Speaking of Nirvana, our favorite historian, Phil, just checked in.
He said, on this day in 1897, the first drunk
driving arrest was made in London when a taxi driver
crashed his cab into the side of a building. But
also on this day in 1991, it was Nirvana's Smells

(02:22):
Like Teen Spirit released on this day. It was released today.
Smells Like Teen Spirit. That's all he does here.

Speaker 12 (02:28):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
And one for us. And we should buy one of
these for the control room. In 1977, the guillotine was
used for the last time.

Speaker 13 (02:38):
We should have one of those in here.

Speaker 14 (02:39):
Yeah, and this is the perfect time of year for it.

Speaker 11 (02:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Why is that a seasonal thing?

Speaker 10 (02:45):
It's spooky season.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Oh, you're right. You're right. Plus, it's also great to
chomp the ends of your cigars off if you need
a smoke.

Speaker 7 (02:52):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
And also, thank you, Historian Phil. On this day in 1993,
Historian Phil was born. So happy birthday, Phil.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yay!

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Happy birthday! Isn't that cool? Thank you for contributing. Penny
from Plainview is on line one. A New York City
school teacher, your first day with students is today.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Is that true?

Speaker 11 (03:14):
Yes, it is. Are you ready? I mean, are we
ever ready, right? We just got to go in and
meet these kids and be so excited.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You know, it's right. You're right. You have to dive
into a new school year. Just hope there's water in
the pool when you dive in.

Speaker 14 (03:30):
What age do you teach?

Speaker 11 (03:33):
So I teach special education sixth grade in Queens, New York.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
You know what? I've noticed something. Every time we ask
a teacher what age or what class they teach, it
seems as if the majority of the answers are special education.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
And I'm wondering if there is something about our show
that is like a magnet to people who have decided
to go down that avenue, special ed.

Speaker 11 (04:01):
Well, you know what, Elvis? I just, I wanted to
say something. You, during COVID, I had a DonorsChoose project
up and you actually fulfilled my DonorsChoose project and funded
me with 12 math books for my students when I
worked in Corona and they had nothing. And I formally

(04:21):
wanted to say thank you, and I've been trying to
for years. But without you, I could not reach my students.
So thank you so much. And, yeah, I do believe with,
you know, a lot of special education teachers truly are
passionate about what they do. And we want to reach
our students however we can.

Speaker 6 (04:40):
I bet.

Speaker 11 (04:40):
And, you know, without the support from, you know, all
of these amazing people in the world, we couldn't do that.
So from me to you and your team... Thank you
so much for what you did years ago for me.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Oh, you're so welcome. Well, I tell you what. Do
you have another DonorsChoose up on board right now?

Speaker 11 (04:58):
You know, I should have made one, but I don't.
But you know what? If I do, I will tag
you or something.

Speaker 15 (05:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Do that. Do that. Make sure we know it's you.
And Penny, and I don't mean to profile teachers who
are teaching special education, but I am wondering, and maybe
you can answer this, is it definitely a different... approach
to teaching, therefore it maybe is a different personality that
teaches it? I don't know. Am I just shooting in

(05:26):
the dark here?

Speaker 11 (05:28):
You know, I think that a teacher is a teacher.
If you're going into a classroom, you're teaching all types
of learners, so it doesn't matter, special education, English language learners,
general education students, because as we know, a lot of
our kids who are in the general ed population do
have disabilities that are just, you know... not caught right

(05:49):
early enough or whatever it may be. So I think
just teachers are teachers and maybe, maybe we're the ones
who just wake up early and we're those OCD ones
that need to get to work early.

Speaker 15 (05:58):
And listen to you on the radio, but.

Speaker 11 (06:01):
We love you teacher, teacher, whatever it may be.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I'm going to quote you, Penny, from Plainview. Teachers are teachers, period.
I love that. And here's the first day of having
students back in class in New York City schools. We
salute our teachers. We love you.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
We love you.

Speaker 11 (06:16):
Thank you so much. And shout out to 119.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
There you go, the 119er. Hey, Nate, send her something spectacular.
Come on, don't cheap out here. What do you got?
How about the full Elvis Duran apparel line? Will that
make you happy, Penny?

Speaker 15 (06:29):
Oh, come on.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
And also, we're going to give you a $ 500 Amazon
gift card, okay? We'll get that to you. Oh, my goodness.
And you can spend it any way you want. I'm
hoping you spend a lot of it in your classroom
because I'm sure you'll need some stuff.

Speaker 11 (06:42):
I for sure will do that. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
You're so welcome. And thank you, Amazon. Even I shouldn't
thank them. It's out of pocket. We don't have to
thank them. Anyway, we love you, Penny. Hold on one
second to all of our teachers here in New York
City or anywhere you're listening to us. We love you.
We salute you. And here comes your season. Your season
is on. Let's get into the three things we need
to know from Gandhi on with the day. So that
was a nice conversation. Am I alone here?

Speaker 15 (07:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
That was great. Okay, just wondering. Everyone's so quiet today.
You guys are up to something.

Speaker 13 (07:14):
Plotting, for sure.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
You're plotting? There's plotting going on. All right, three things.
What do you got going on, Gandhi?

Speaker 16 (07:19):
All right, today is the one-year mark of the shooting
of Charlie Kirk during a speaking event on a college campus.

Speaker 13 (07:24):
We know he was 31 years old.

Speaker 16 (07:26):
Reflecting on this week's anniversary in an essay for the
New York Times, his widow, Erica Kirk, noted that the
grief is always there, but She said she's learning that
mourning and living life at the same time are part
of the rhythm of grief. Tyler Robinson, the man charged
with Charlie Kirk's murder, has still pleaded not guilty.

Speaker 13 (07:41):
It didn't take long at all.

Speaker 16 (07:43):
Attorneys have filed the first wrongful death lawsuit stemming from
that deadly Amazon cargo jet crash in Miami. Attorneys with
Morgan & Morgan filed the complaint on behalf of the
widow of 53-year-old Yoel Rodriguez-Naranjo, one of the five cleaning
crew workers killed in that runway overrun. We know five
people were killed and five others were injured in the crash.
And finally, a new study shows that walking at a

(08:05):
faster pace might make up for a lower step count
when it comes to reducing risk of early death. So
we've been told for so long you want to hit
those 10,000 steps, but now researchers at Monash University and
the University of Sydney looked at the intensity of the
steps in a study of about 65,000 middle-aged adults. The
study concluded that the chances of early death were a
lot lower, with people doing 5,000 to 7,500 daily steps
at a lower stepping pace. However, the risk of early

(08:30):
death was also lowered by the same in those doing
under 5,000 daily steps at a higher stepping pace. So
you might not need to walk as far if you're
walking fast. And those are your three things.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
I read that same thing. And so ever since I
read that, I walk faster to try to beat death.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Oh, good.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
You can't catch up with it.

Speaker 13 (08:47):
You're running away from it.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
I love that. The Grim Reaper is always right on
your heels. So just walk a little faster. Are you
guys ready for your food?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Yeah!

Speaker 17 (08:55):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
People think toilet paper is an either-or kind of thing.

Speaker 10 (09:01):
Either strong or soft.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
But you know, Angel Soft is an all-of-the-above toilet paper.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Pick up a pack of Angel Soft in the toilet
paper aisle at your nearest retailer.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Angel Soft. Soft and strong.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Simple.

Speaker 12 (09:33):
Thank you, guys.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
I love you, and I listen to you every day
on my way to work.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
You guys are awesome. I mean, everyone is hilarious. I
talk about you guys like you're my friends.

Speaker 13 (09:41):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I love you all. This is Elvis Duran and the
Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Producer Sam is back for day number two after maternity
leave for four months. Are you regretting this? I mean,
is this as you dreamed it would be?

Speaker 1 (09:55):
You guys have.

Speaker 13 (09:56):
Flirted with making me regret it, but no, not yet.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Not yet. I didn't. Then we gotta work a little harder.
We gotta work a little harder.

Speaker 13 (10:03):
We put the little rat traps in your studio. I
thought that was a game for me.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Well, welcome back. You are officially back in charge of
the horoscope section.

Speaker 10 (10:14):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Session, whatever this is. We tried to get rid of
them while you were gone, and.

Speaker 13 (10:19):
I literally asked in the car on the way in.
I'm like, all right, what was tossed?

Speaker 3 (10:23):
They're like roaches. I know. They really are.

Speaker 13 (10:27):
People really care about these horoscopes, man.

Speaker 14 (10:30):
They do.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Of course, it is Food News Thursday. I'm assuming you
and Froggy will be doing the horoscopes today?

Speaker 13 (10:35):
I've been dreaming of this, yes.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
All right, Froggy, you're on stage. What's going on?

Speaker 8 (10:40):
Sorry to lay you down. If you celebrate a birthday today,
happy birthday. You're celebrating with Colin Firth and Ryan Phillippe. Virgo,
you cut through a complicated work situation with clarity nobody
else could bring, and it gets noticed.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Your day is a nine.

Speaker 18 (10:54):
Libra, with your season just around the corner, your energy
is magnetic, and the right people are feeling it. Your
day's an eight.

Speaker 8 (11:01):
Scorpio, letting people in a little more would help right now.
Not everything has to stay behind the wall.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Your day is a seven.

Speaker 18 (11:07):
Hey, Sagittarius, your optimism is exactly what someone in your
circle needs today. That energy is way more powerful than
you realize.

Speaker 13 (11:14):
Your day's an eight.

Speaker 8 (11:16):
Ooh, Capricorn, success means nothing if the people you care
about feel like they come last. Reprioritize today. Your day's
a six.

Speaker 18 (11:24):
Ooh, Aquarius, your emotional distance is being read as not
caring by someone who genuinely needs you to show up
right now.

Speaker 10 (11:30):
Your day's a five.

Speaker 8 (11:31):
Pisces, you are exactly the person someone needed in their
corner today, and showing up for them changes everything.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Your day's a 10.

Speaker 18 (11:39):
Aries, step up and take charge of something that's been
lacking direction, and watch how fast things get going. Your
day's a 9.

Speaker 8 (11:45):
Taurus, what you've been patiently waiting on finally starts moving
in your direction today.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Stay steady. Your day's an 8.

Speaker 18 (11:51):
Hey, Gemini, someone calls out the gap between what you
say and what you do.

Speaker 13 (11:56):
It stings, but they're not wrong. Your day's a 6.

Speaker 8 (11:58):
Cancer, make sure your loyalty is going to someone who
actually deserves it and would do the same for you.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Your day's a seven.

Speaker 18 (12:05):
And finally, Leo, a generous gesture towards someone who least
expects it from you creates a moment neither of you
will forget.

Speaker 13 (12:12):
Your day's a nine, and those are your Thursday morning horoscopes.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
So I have to put forth a generous, what? A generous.

Speaker 13 (12:18):
A generous gesture towards someone.

Speaker 19 (12:20):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Make a gesture. Shooting the finger, hey.

Speaker 10 (12:23):
Yeah, generously.

Speaker 14 (12:25):
No, generous means like Chanel... Something like that.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
That's generous. All right. Chanel on the way, ladies and guys. Hey,
I don't know. I think some of the topics that
are kind of hot today, the new foldable iPhone, people
are talking about it. Also, that warning from that anthropic
employee who's leaving saying we're all going to die. AI
is killing us. Yep. And also the NFL in Australia tonight.
A lot of stuff. A lot of stuff in conversation,

(12:51):
things you can talk about with your friends. We'll get
into those in a second. Also, Danielle's report is coming up.
What do you have coming up, Danielle?

Speaker 19 (12:56):
Oh, we are going to talk about Dolly Parton. Apparently,
she kept her cancer diagnosis from a lot of people.
And do we have a new James Bond?

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Has it been announced?

Speaker 19 (13:06):
Not officially, but there's a lot of rumors going around
that it's this one person, so we'll see what you
guys think.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
And he's white, right? He's going to be a white guy.
He's a white guy, yeah. Isn't it time to kind
of darken this up a little bit? I think that
would be much more interesting.

Speaker 19 (13:18):
Well, we keep saying who we want it to be,
but I think he might be too old.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
Who?

Speaker 13 (13:23):
Eat yourself up.

Speaker 14 (13:24):
Yeah, he's so hot.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
You see, and rather than a black tuxedo, I put
him in a white tuxedo when he's at the casino.
James Bond is always at the casino. What about a woman?

Speaker 14 (13:32):
How about a woman, James Bond? We could do that.
We can call her Jamie Bond. We're Jane Bond.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Do you want Jane Bond?

Speaker 16 (13:39):
I gotta be honest. I want a hot James Bond.
I would like him to have a little more melanin,
for sure. Lucien Labiscount, remember? He would be a good
one if we need younger.

Speaker 10 (13:48):
He's hot.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
That guy.

Speaker 10 (13:49):
Damn, he is hot.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
All right, think it through. Or we can just get
someone Lily White. Is Nate available?

Speaker 10 (13:55):
Not now.

Speaker 13 (13:55):
He got a spray tan.

Speaker 11 (13:56):
Not now.

Speaker 17 (13:57):
I got a spray tan, baby. I look medium well.
Tan-ish right now.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Your spray tan technician, she said you're so white. Did
she actually have to use a paint roller to put
it on?

Speaker 17 (14:06):
She practically walked out to put sunglasses on. I mean,
I'm very pale.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Let's put it out.

Speaker 17 (14:12):
Would you say the color of a jellyfish?

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Translucent.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
That's funny. To me, it's funny. Yeah, do you have
a sense of humor? Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (14:25):

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Call us.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
I want everyone to call their.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Local radio station. 1-800-242-0100.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Call up Elvis Duran.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
This is Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
I don't know about you, but I started my day
with violence.

Speaker 14 (15:59):
What'd you do?

Speaker 3 (16:01):
You know how Nate always used to say he had
this hankering to go into a bar and start a
bar fight?

Speaker 11 (16:07):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
I had a bar fight with my dishwasher this morning.

Speaker 20 (16:11):
What?

Speaker 13 (16:11):
Who won?

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Okay. Well, so you know what it is? It's very
difficult to have the drawer. You pull out the racks,
and they're on those little slider things.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
And if they come off, you're just effed. It's like,
I don't know. It came off somehow, and... I was
fighting with, I couldn't even get it to, you can't
get it to go all the way in, therefore you
can't close the door.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
Nope.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
This went on for 15 minutes. I had to take
all the dirty, stinky dishes out because they were all
falling everywhere. I was like, ah!

Speaker 19 (16:43):
Yeah, I was going to say, do you do what
I do, you motherfucking.

Speaker 14 (16:48):
Yes. And you hear it banging on the thing, and yeah,
it's horrible.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
The dogs ran into the room because they saw trouble,
a Bruin. So I fought with this stupid thing for
like 15 minutes and I was just, I looked at
the clock and I was like, I gotta go to work. Finally, finally,
I opened it up and looked and I studied it.
I studied the mechanics and how you physically have to
put the thing in the right way so it'll slide

(17:14):
in and out with ease. And I got it. I
got it.

Speaker 12 (17:17):
I won.

Speaker 10 (17:18):
So you won.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
What's the score, Scary?

Speaker 21 (17:21):
Elvis Duran 1, dishwasher 0.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Thank you.

Speaker 17 (17:24):
That is one of your unique skills, Elvis. You've actually
bragged about loading that dishwasher. Well, yeah, and it was
loaded beautifully.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
No one else is allowed to load the dishwasher, but
when it comes to the actual... mechanics of those drawers,
I have no idea. How do you get the Mexican
moon loaded? Hold on, Froggy, what is he going to
say to me? Yeah, Froggy, what's that?

Speaker 8 (17:44):
Well, I hate when you go to put something tall in,
like a spatula or something like that, and you think
everything's great, and you go to push that drawer in,
and it hits the thing, spins around with the water,
and you can't Then what do you do with that?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
You got to lay it down. It doesn't get as clean.
It's not as safe. Let me load for you. I
will take good care of that. Yeah, scary. What was that?

Speaker 21 (18:03):
There are certain holes and things that don't make any
sense to me or certain racks that fold down.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
How do you know what everything is for and get
maximum use out of it? I've studied. It's genius. The mechanics,
the actual architecture of the innards of a dishwasher are fabulous.
Those things come up and down so you can hold
different sized plates.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
In different sized bowls and glasses and glassware. Use it.
Study it.

Speaker 14 (18:27):
You know what drives me crazy?

Speaker 3 (18:28):
What's that?

Speaker 19 (18:29):
When a bowl flips the wrong way, and then after
it's done, there's water sitting in it.

Speaker 14 (18:37):
Because then you've got to redo the bowl.

Speaker 8 (18:40):
It's on the top rack, so when you touch it,
it spills water all.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Over everything in the bottle.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
That's right, Froggy.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
That is right. I was going to say that. I
was going to say that. It's true. If it's on
the top rack, it ruins everything with soapy water.

Speaker 14 (18:50):
Yeah, it's the worst.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
They're little miracle workers. I love, I praise, I put
it on a pedestal, and I adore and worship the dishwasher.
But it can be your biggest enemy. With that said,
let's get into the Daniel Report. You got something going on?

Speaker 19 (19:07):
Yeah, well, let's talk about Dolly Parton. You guys know
she had cancer, and she was hiding it from a
lot of people.

Speaker 14 (19:12):
Her sister, Stella.

Speaker 19 (19:14):
was on with CBS Mornings, and she said that Dolly
could not bear negative things and she would not have
wanted her fans to worry about her. She didn't want
a lot of family worried about it, so some of
them knew the ones that were closer to her. And
that she also said Dolly would be so happy and
delighted that people have shown her so much love because

(19:34):
she knew that she would make us feel better as
her family.

Speaker 10 (19:38):
So, yeah.

Speaker 14 (19:39):
That's... She was something, that Dolly. She really was.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Love her.

Speaker 14 (19:43):
Guys, guess what?

Speaker 19 (19:45):
Hallmark's full lineup of Christmas movies will be announced next week.
Standing ovation.

Speaker 14 (19:50):
It's not even Halloween.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Danielle, good God. Let me ask you this. Can't they
just run the same ones over and over? I mean,
they're like Christmas songs at this point.

Speaker 14 (19:59):
Bite your tongue. Bite your tongue.

Speaker 19 (20:00):
Hallmark will actually kick off their countdown to Christmas with
the premiere of Holiday Touchdown, A Bear's Love Story on
October 17th.

Speaker 14 (20:08):
It's the third movie made in partnership with the NFL.
So that's on the way. And yes, it's very exciting.
Do we have a new James Bond?

Speaker 19 (20:16):
So two insiders have claimed that Amazon MGM Studios cast
their new Bond. They're saying he's 36-year-old Scottish actor Jack Loudon.
He co-stars in Apple TV's Slow Horses. He is beautiful,
I have to say that. But he was on The
Morning Show. And actually, no, Gary Oldman was on The

(20:37):
Morning Show. And he's in Slow Horses with Jack. And
he was asked, if he was, you know, on the
audition shortlist, blah, blah, blah. And they were like, well,
we're going to find out pretty soon, aren't we? I've
heard that they picked their Bond. And then yesterday on
BBC Radio 4's Today Show, James Bond's script writer, Stephen King,

(20:58):
also kind of hinted that it might be him and
that it was already cast and that it was very
easy to write the script because he knew who was
going to play Bond. So I think We're going to
find out very soon if it is indeed Jack.

Speaker 14 (21:10):
I mean, he is hot. He is hot. But, you know,
everybody has their opinion.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
This is a typical tease where you made me feel
as if you were going to tell us.

Speaker 14 (21:18):
Well, I kind of did, but who knows? They could
change their minds. So who knows?

Speaker 10 (21:23):
This is awesome.

Speaker 19 (21:23):
NBC revealed to the guest hosts and musical acts will
be on the four episodes to start Saturday Night Live's
52nd season and kicking it off September 26th.

Speaker 14 (21:33):
It only makes sense.

Speaker 19 (21:34):
New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, and Cat's Eye will
be the musical guest. So that's going to be a
crazy episode, but it is just perfect.

Speaker 14 (21:43):
It's absolutely perfect.

Speaker 19 (21:44):
And Miley Cyrus cannot meet the demand for her Hollywood
Bowl concert tickets. More than one and a half million fans.
registered for pre-sale tickets. She's performing twice in October, and
the capacity at the Hollywood Bowl is only 18,000. So
that leaves a lot of fans out of luck, and
it has been more than a decade since the last

(22:04):
time Miley staged a nationwide tour, so so many people
want to get their hands on that, so we'll see.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
You know what? The Hollywood Bowl. Have you guys ever
seen a show at the Hollywood Bowl?

Speaker 10 (22:12):
No, I've always wanted to.

Speaker 14 (22:13):
I've always wanted to.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
To me, in L.A. I mean, Nate, you lived in L.A.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
To me, the Hollywood Bowl is the Radio City Music
Hall of Los Angeles. You would be correct. It's been
there for a long time. It's sort of historically significant.
If the weather's great, it's just the most beautiful night
out watching a show. So, Miley, sell it out, baby.

Speaker 14 (22:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 19 (22:36):
So, yesterday I got to host a screening for Practical
Magic 2. You know, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock.

Speaker 14 (22:41):
I'm telling you, Gandhi, it does not disappoint.

Speaker 13 (22:42):
Oh, I can't wait.

Speaker 19 (22:43):
It's definitely a lot bigger budget than it was back
in 98 when the original came out. But your Owen
sisters are back. And this is all about the kids.
And all about the curse that's still around.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Oh, is it?

Speaker 14 (22:55):
Yeah, it was really cool.

Speaker 19 (22:56):
And I have to point out that Nicole Kidman and
Sandra Bullock and the cast were at the screening last night.
They seem like the nicest people. And they took so
much time with the fans that were there. Signing autographs,
taking pictures, waving at people.

Speaker 14 (23:11):
I would have passed out.

Speaker 19 (23:12):
Yeah, even the people all the way up at the top,
like in the top area. They made sure to give
them love too and point them out and say, guys.

Speaker 14 (23:19):
We see you up there. It was so nice.

Speaker 19 (23:21):
And the movie, like I said, is great. And it
is out in your theaters today. So check it out.

Speaker 14 (23:26):
What else do we have?

Speaker 19 (23:27):
Like we said, NFL, the Melbourne games, they are out
tonight or they're playing tonight. Also, you have The Secret
Lives of Mormon Wives. Apparently all five episodes from season
five dropped overnight. Supergirl on HBO. And there's a lot
that you can watch. And that is my Danielle report.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Thank you, Danielle. Brilliant, brilliant job as usual.

Speaker 17 (23:47):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Are we celebrating a birthday here today?

Speaker 10 (23:50):
Oh, we are, yes.

Speaker 14 (23:52):
Do we go and get the goods?

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Yeah, because I think there's usually food involved and people
here want to eat. It really has nothing to do
with the birthday.

Speaker 19 (24:00):
No, and apparently this person is on a sugar-free diet,
so they asked specifically for something for today.

Speaker 14 (24:07):
And I went and got it.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Let's find out what that is on the way. Also,
I want to talk about those three topics. I want
to talk about football in Australia tonight or tomorrow morning,
depending on how you look at it. I want to
talk about the new foldable iPhone. I know that Froggy
may have some info on that because he's a Mac head.
And there was a third one. Oh, yeah, how we're
all going to die from AI. If you have any

(24:29):
thoughts about any of the above, feel free to text
us now at 55100. Let's get into it. Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
You are a chicken nugget fan. The new Burger King
chicken nuggets are here for you. And they're so tasty, crispy,
and juicy. And because better chicken nuggets deserve better sauces,
they also reinvented several of the sauces and created a
brand new one. Try the new Burger King chicken nuggets
and sauces today. Knock, knock.

Speaker 10 (25:03):
Who's there?

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
This is sort of like a... A topic train, a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Oh.

Speaker 14 (25:11):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
What do we call it? We don't call it the
topic train. We call it the topic juggler.

Speaker 14 (25:16):
Juggler, yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Scary, why don't you pull that up? That'd be like
a good cue for you to go over there and
get it. What do you think? It's also a day
to celebrate. Hold on one second, Scary. I've got to
push this button right here. Where's Diamond?

Speaker 14 (25:28):
Here she's coming.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Happy birthday to you.

Speaker 17 (25:30):
Happy birthday, Diamond.

Speaker 14 (25:31):
Happy birthday to you.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yay, Diamond.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 14 (25:36):
Happy birthday to you.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Is she here?

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Where is she?

Speaker 9 (25:40):
She's here.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
There she is.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Happy birthday, Diamond.

Speaker 10 (25:43):
Oh, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
So, I mean, today is not officially your birthday. What
day is your birthday?

Speaker 10 (25:49):
Saturday the 12th.

Speaker 20 (25:51):
Yay!

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Let me get a photo. Johnny's getting a photo of
the birthday girl. Look at that.

Speaker 14 (25:55):
She put her under-eye concealer on.

Speaker 10 (25:57):
I did, and I left my mascara, so don't zoom in.

Speaker 14 (25:59):
She already did.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
So, Diamond, the crowd favorite. Hey, let me ask you this.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
What did you request for your birthday? Because you have
some dietary needs that are kind of wanky wonky right now.

Speaker 12 (26:12):
Yeah, so Danielle knows that I love the cakes that
she brings in for everyone else. But I'm like on
a reset basically, like a detox. I don't know why
I would do this the month of my birthday. But
I'm trying to stay on track. So no sugar right now.

Speaker 10 (26:30):
But this looks good.

Speaker 12 (26:31):
I asked her for cold cuts and meats because like
I love them.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
You wanted... You wanted birthday meat?

Speaker 10 (26:38):
Yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
Sliced?

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Sliced meat, okay.

Speaker 12 (26:42):
And the cheese, and it just looks so good. And
then she brought bread in. I guess that's for everyone
else because I can't have that either. But, like, I
love this. Thank you so much.

Speaker 14 (26:50):
You're welcome.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Happy birthday. Well, it is your birthday. It's your birthday.
For instance, if it's Garrett's birthday, we can't have anything
with gluten in it or sugar.

Speaker 19 (27:00):
He gets an ice cream cake, though. He said that
that's okay for his birthday. And then he takes a
little extra maybe insulin or whatever that day.

Speaker 14 (27:08):
I don't know how it works.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Well, then there you have it. Happy birthday. Any birthday
wishes for Diamond in the room? Gandhi, what do you
want to tell your Diamond?

Speaker 13 (27:16):
I love you very much.

Speaker 10 (27:17):
I love you too.

Speaker 16 (27:18):
And I don't know what I would do without you.
And I'm so glad that you're here, even though you
didn't like me when you first started.

Speaker 13 (27:22):
But we've moved past that.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
Please.

Speaker 10 (27:24):
You've got to stop telling people that. Make that very clear.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Yes, scary. Scary.

Speaker 21 (27:28):
I've been promising to take you to that Deli Sadel's
for several years now for your birthday, and this is
going to be the birthday I do it.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Promise. It's happening soon.

Speaker 10 (27:37):
You're doing it while I'm on a detox.

Speaker 14 (27:39):
After you're done with your detox, we're going.

Speaker 13 (27:40):
He knows what he's doing.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Good, exactly. This has been like a three-year thing between us,
and it sucks. He's making promises that he doesn't keep. Froggy, yes,
go ahead.

Speaker 8 (27:47):
Yes, well, Diamond, I know the Jets have not won
an opening game in the NFL in 11 years, and
they play the day after your birthday. They play on
the 13th. I hope for your sake that the Jets
win on opening day this year.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Oh, how generous. Thank you so much, Froggy. It won't happen. Yes, Danielle.

Speaker 19 (28:03):
I just want to say that I feel like you're
one of the most joyous people around here, and you're
always smiling, and you're always giving free hugs, and you're
always just nice, and I love it, and I just,
I love having you here.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
I think it's the best thing. We love our Diamond.
Happy birthday.

Speaker 10 (28:19):
Go Arsenal.

Speaker 14 (28:22):
Arsenal won for her last night.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
Premier League football. So everyone, dig in, eat her birthday
cold cuts.

Speaker 6 (28:27):
Go.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
We will.

Speaker 13 (28:29):
I'm confused, though, how this is healthy.

Speaker 14 (28:31):
That's what I was thinking, too, but it's her birthday,
so I just went along with it. I.

Speaker 12 (28:37):
It's healthy for me because I, I've been sugar and
my body does not, I found out my body does
not break down sugar the way that it should or
that other people.

Speaker 10 (28:47):
I got you.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
So it's like that with most of us.

Speaker 10 (28:49):
So hold on.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
But what cold cuts do we have here? Oh, everything. Well, no,
I need a list.

Speaker 10 (28:54):
Okay, salami, ham, turkey.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Okay, no, no.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
Yes.

Speaker 10 (28:58):
Looks like roast beef. And then is this Swiss cheese?

Speaker 14 (29:02):
There's Swiss and provolone, and then there's pepperoni and olives.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
All right, so the ham and the other stuff, don't
eat that. Don't eat that. When you say it looks
like roast beef.

Speaker 20 (29:13):
I quit.

Speaker 14 (29:14):
It is roast beef.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
It's roast beef.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
If it's not too salty, if it's not too salty,
the roast beef is probably okay for you. And turkey
is probably the best thing.

Speaker 10 (29:22):
You're fine.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Absolutely. Get in there.

Speaker 17 (29:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Happy birthday, cold cut girl.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 20 (29:28):
Thanks.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
It was great.

Speaker 16 (29:29):
All of us said such nice, heartfelt things to her.
And then I know people wrote crappy things in the card.
So it's like an exact opposite.

Speaker 18 (29:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Those cards are, those are reward winning, aren't they? All right.
Happy birthday to our, to our diamond. Call her at 800-242-0100.
Wish her a happy birthday. For God's sake, do something.
Help out. She's eating cold cuts for her birthday. She
needs help. What are you going to do?

Speaker 11 (29:49):
All right.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Let's talk about the topics. All right. The topics are thus.
We have to talk about how Anthropic, you know, the
big AI company wants, One of their employees, as he's exiting,
is telling us, hey, warning, AI is going to kill
us all probably by the end of the day. Oh, gosh.
Maybe the end of this decade. I don't know. Who knows?

Speaker 13 (30:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Okay, there's a topic. Also, moving to Australia for NFL
football for tonight, tomorrow morning, depending on where you are. Actually,
we'll see it tonight, but it's happening tomorrow morning in Australia.
What are your thoughts about that?

Speaker 10 (30:23):
I think it's cool.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
A lot of unique things going on. I think it
is cool, too.

Speaker 13 (30:27):
I'm interested to see how they receive it.

Speaker 14 (30:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 19 (30:29):
I mean, they've played in other parts of Europe before
because they're really trying to get American football more well-known
in certain places.

Speaker 14 (30:37):
And it's, you know, it's been happening more and more.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
So we've invaded Europe. Now we go over to Australia.
And also, let's talk about the new foldable kabillion dollar iPhone.
The big screen. Scary is already yelling and bitching and
moaning about it because it's built for right-handed people. That's right.
I'm a lefty. I'm left-handed.

Speaker 21 (30:55):
And the phone, you have to hold it in your
right hand to do the fold. So people are like, well,
why don't you hold it upside down? No, we already
have to do that with our scissors and other things.
This world is a right-hander's world. So I would like Apple,
I may consider buying it if they make a left-handed
version of it.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Any other thoughts about the big screen, the big foldable screen?

Speaker 13 (31:15):
I don't want it.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Okay, talk about it. It looks cool. Hold on. Gandhi,
why don't you want it?

Speaker 10 (31:21):
I think the.

Speaker 16 (31:22):
First version is never the version of something that I'm
interested in because they're going to figure out their stuff
wrong with it. I also drop things all the time,
and I heard that these are a little bit more fragile.
than the other phone, and I also, like, what's the point?
Why do I, what is great about it?

Speaker 3 (31:36):
It's a big screen. Okay, Froggy, what do you think?
You're the big iPhone head in here.

Speaker 8 (31:39):
Well, it's expensive to fix. Like Gandhi said, if you
drop it, they said the screen to fix is over $ 1, 200.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
It starts at $ 2, 000.

Speaker 8 (31:47):
It goes up to $ 3, 200. They did announce other items yesterday.
You can pre-order the iPhone 18 and 18 Pro Max
and those others. Those will be available for pre-order on
Saturday morning at 8 a.m.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Eastern Time. This phone will not be.

Speaker 8 (32:01):
Available for pre-order until October 16th, and it comes out
October 23rd.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
So there's some delay on this. Okay. Here's my question.
I mean, it's a large screen. It's a beautiful screen,
I'm sure. You could watch all sorts of movies. So
if you don't use your phone for those things, I
don't see why you would want it, right?

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Right.

Speaker 16 (32:22):
My cousin had one of these because Android's made an open,
like a foldable phone for years at this point.

Speaker 13 (32:27):
And she had one. I don't see anything all that
special about it. It just was the bigger screen.

Speaker 14 (32:30):
You know what it looks like to me?

Speaker 19 (32:32):
Do you remember back in the day when you would
take a travel alarm clock with you and you would
put it on the nightstand and it would be foldable?
That's what this looks like to me. Like the little
foldable alarm clock.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Yeah, call the guys in Cupertino. So I guess this
is officially the Elvis Topic Juggler. Is that what it is?

Speaker 10 (32:51):
Elvis Topic Juggler.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
We're juggling topics.

Speaker 10 (32:54):
Elvis Topic Juggler.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Elvis Topic Juggler. Yeah, we're trying to fit all the
syllables in there. All right. I love it. Let's move
on to another topic. Let's talk about NFL football in Australia.
I think it's pretty cool. It just makes it interesting.
It stirs it up. Every time they play in another country,
most recently it was the UK, I do believe. Oh,

(33:17):
they've played all over the UK.

Speaker 19 (33:19):
They've played in Europe a lot because they really are
trying to get it over there. So, I mean, the
fact that now they're trying Australia and everything. But I
think it's the same thing with us. With soccer or football,
you know, because a lot of people now are embracing
that game even more since the World Cup. And there's
more people picking Premier League teams to watch this season.
So I think it's kind of like a little give

(33:40):
and take with each other.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
It's nice.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
And keep in mind something here. Some people were texting in, well,
it's going to be too hot for them to play. Well,
it's winter in Australia, so there's that.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
But it is an 8,000 mile flight. We're talking 16
hour trip, 17 hour time difference. So you were saying, Gandhi,
that the Rams got there, I mean, the 49ers got
there early, right?

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
To adjust to the time change. They've been there for
like a week?

Speaker 7 (34:05):
Yep.

Speaker 16 (34:06):
And the 49ers did, or the Rams did the exact
opposite and they got there within 24 hours of kickoff
because they don't want their bodies to get out of
US time. But because of that, Now people are saying
that the 49ers are the Australian favorites because they've been
doing all the fan activations and being able to meet
people and get to know the area, take pictures and
all that and be like ambassadors.

Speaker 14 (34:26):
That makes sense.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Didn't you also say they have to scrub down the
equipment because they don't want any of the United States
stank coming over?

Speaker 16 (34:34):
Well, you know, when you travel to other countries, they
always ask you if you have seeds or plants or
meat or anything. Well, when you're playing on grass and
some of these people are playing on grass, then you
can get dirt on the equipment. So they had to
do an extra scrub down of everything. So that our
grass and seeds and dirt do not go there and
that we don't bring invasive species outside of ourselves, I guess,
to be there.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
I wonder how they're going to embrace all of us
Americans rolling in and doing our sport over there. I'm
kind of wondering. Any idea in some of the pre-coverage, Froggy?
I know you've been keeping an eye on it.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
I have.

Speaker 8 (35:10):
They keep talking about it's the longest road trip in
NFL history, and like Gandhi said, the 49ers have been
there for over a week. They've been doing things in
the city, going around, meeting fans, taking pictures, and they've
immersed themselves into the Australian atmosphere there and doing all that.
The Rams just showed up yesterday. They literally got there yesterday.

(35:31):
They're going to play tonight, and they're leaving.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
They're in and out.

Speaker 8 (35:34):
So I think the crowd tonight is probably going to
be more of a, 49ers crowd because they've been there,
but it'll be interesting to see. It'll be, uh, it's,
it's wild to see that they're doing this and this
is not the only time they want to, the NFL
says they want to play more games in Australia and
they're trying to eventually, they would like to home a
team in Europe. They would like to have a team.

(35:54):
That's their home state home stadium. They want to be
in Europe. So that's what we're trying to do, expand.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
So this is a money thing. It's a capitalistic pig thing.
Let's spread our tentacles and make more money around the world. Right, exactly.
I think it's kind of fun, though. I mean, look
at what happened when we embraced soccer here in the
United States. That was years ago, and now it's at
a fever pitch, which is kind of great. Well, I
don't know if they'll ever accept our football over there

(36:20):
as such, but it's kind of fun. All right, let's
move to AI and how we're all going to die.

Speaker 11 (36:24):
Go.

Speaker 10 (36:25):
Oh, Lord.

Speaker 16 (36:26):
Well, there's a safety researcher who worked for Anthropic and ChatGPT,
or OpenAI, I should say.

Speaker 13 (36:33):
And he says it is as bad as you think.

Speaker 16 (36:36):
He resigned because he said both companies have zero regard
for the actual.

Speaker 13 (36:40):
Safety checks that they should care about.

Speaker 16 (36:43):
And that these AI systems are growing at a pace
we cannot keep up with. And they're going to be
able to do things at ridiculously rapid paces. And he
says they're gambling with our lives and they don't care
because it's just a race. To see who can do
the best thing first.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Oh, boy.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
There was an article in today's New York Post. I
don't know if I want to read this because it
is fear-baiting. Experts warn AI could kill us all, and
this is how this doomsday scenario could play out. Do
you want to hear it?

Speaker 1 (37:11):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Okay, keep in mind. Okay, consider whatever. Warnings against artificial
intelligence going rogue and leading to a disastrous outcome for
humanity have grown louder this year. Alarm bells... are even
being rung by those helming the technology, including open AI
boss Sam Altman and anthropic honcho Dario or whoever. This week,

(37:33):
a researcher who has worked at both of those companies,
Jacob Coxon, says he quit. AI is going to kill
us all by the end of the decade. These will
be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight,
and acquire real power and resources. But how do we die?
These machines could potentially go out wiping us all out humans.

(37:56):
We have been automating jobs for decades, almost all of
which are now controlled through the internet, the domain where
AI has most of its access. So how do you
guys think this is going to kill us? Have you
heard any examples, Gandhi in your research?

Speaker 16 (38:08):
Um, I think so when they say that they're going
to be able to come up with superhuman systems, I
think that that's something interesting when it comes to these
humanoid robots that we're seeing. So it could just be
an all out actually killing us. But I also think
when you take away everybody's jobs and livelihood and they're
not making money anymore, that that could turn into basically

(38:29):
warfare on earth. You know, when people are starving and
you're not getting the resources that you need, people are
going to do crazy things. And I think that there
are just two ways that this could happen.

Speaker 13 (38:37):
And we're being warned over and over.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
What are we doing? What if someone went online and said, OK,
Kill everyone. Enter.

Speaker 13 (38:44):
Yeah, right?

Speaker 3 (38:47):
So it could attack and disable electric grids, leaving huge
areas in complete darkness. Then disable phone towers. Those who
try to escape by vehicle would face chaos with traffic
lights hijacked and gas stations taken offline. ATMs would not operate.
Even if you were to access your bank, all funds
would be wiped out. Humans could even be unwittingly recruited

(39:08):
for sabotage missions. Anything we can do on the internet,
AI can do, including pretending to be a human. AI
will have no trouble making money, whether it's through financial
trading or doing services for people. It can impersonate a
human and hire people or blackmail them to carry out
physical ops, such as smuggling a USB thumb drive, which
can then infect computers on localized networks. So, okay. This

(39:32):
is a very fun thing to talk about. I'm laughing.
I'm just, this is an e-slapper.

Speaker 16 (39:37):
Well, I think it's important to talk about though, because if,
I mean, I say this all the time in life
in general, there are more of us as human beings
than there are of them, whether it's human beings or
the robots at the moment, people who are creating these things,
there are more of us.

Speaker 13 (39:49):
We have the numbers.

Speaker 16 (39:50):
Why do people not activate and do something about this?
And governments need to step in and start regulating it.
And I know it's tough to regulate something before it's
actually there, but if you have researchers, and it's not
just this one guy, there are other people saying the
same thing who have worked for these companies. Why not
start to regulate it now, shut it down now, slow
it down now, before it takes over?

Speaker 13 (40:10):
What's the point? What's the point of a robot world?

Speaker 19 (40:13):
Did you see that in Times Square, that massive billboard,
and it's an AI woman, and on the bottom it says,
stop hiring humans.

Speaker 13 (40:21):
Yeah, I hate that thing.

Speaker 14 (40:22):
I'm like, who the hell?

Speaker 10 (40:23):
Yeah, it's huge.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
It's huge.

Speaker 14 (40:25):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
That's like the Chick-fil-A commercials with the cows. More chicken.
More chicken. Kind of.

Speaker 7 (40:33):
Kind of.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Well, anyway, so you talk about, well, what's the point?
What we have here is we have all these countries
who are in such bloody competition to beat each other
at whatever cost, whatever expense, just to win, just to
get to the top of the heap. And so, you know,
there's competition there. It's like when they were fighting to
get to the moon first. This is a big thing. Wow,

(40:55):
I'm depressed. Let's play something fun.

Speaker 16 (40:58):
I still think there's a lot of really good uses
for AI, but we just need to make sure that
we're making it work for us and we don't end
up working for it. I don't think you eradicate it completely,
but to not have checks and balances on what's going
on is crazy.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
So someone sent a text in. Three words that we
should start using. Pull the plug.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Yes.

Speaker 18 (41:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (41:17):
Well, that's not going to happen.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
You know that. Several years ago, it was drain the swamp.
Now it's pull the plug.

Speaker 16 (41:23):
And I think also like we should stop just giving everything.
I mean, to that pull the plug point, stop giving
everything up to the digital age. People stopped paying with
cash and now everything is digital. And that does make
it very easy to just shut you down without anything else.
Maybe we just need to start going back a little bit.

Speaker 19 (41:38):
I thought we were going to do that. Didn't we
say people were starting to, like, do things the old way?

Speaker 3 (41:43):
Yeah, going from digital back to analog. You know, Gary
Vee is a huge, huge advocate for that, and I
do believe he's going to be on our show pretty soon. Yeah,
a couple weeks. I need a song to play. Something fun.
What are you looking for? What's the theme?

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Fun.

Speaker 3 (41:56):
Oh, you know, anything but what we're talking about.

Speaker 7 (41:58):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (41:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
Something new? Okay, it can't have anything to do with
playing football in Australia. It can't have anything to do
with dying from AI. And it can't have anything to
do with a foldable iPhone. So that really opens up
a wide range of songs you can play.

Speaker 13 (42:13):
Almost all of it.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
What were we going to start the show with today? Oh,
Jess Glynn. Oh, this is a fun one. Hold My Hand,
is that the name of it? Let me pull this
up here. How's that coffee there, Nate? It's okay. It's okay.

Speaker 17 (42:26):
It's from our sludge machine, which I don't think has
been cleaned since the first Trump administration.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
Wow. We should probably drain that swamp. What do you think? Anyway,
happy days.

Speaker 19 (42:39):
Standing in a crowded room and I can't see her face.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
Elvis Duran.

Speaker 14 (42:49):
He just keeps opening his mouth.

Speaker 5 (42:51):
And the morning show. Join the conversation by texting 55100.
I got a text from someone.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
They're saying they're celebrating a successful threesome this past weekend.

Speaker 12 (43:01):
Oh!

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Standard data and messaging rates may apply. Elvis Duran and
the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
I got to tell you, you know what? This birthday
request from Diamond, cake?

Speaker 7 (43:09):
No.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Cold cuts, yes. This could be a new thing for
birthdays here. You know, it's going to be lasagna.

Speaker 14 (43:15):
Someone's going to ask me for lasagna pizza.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
Okay.

Speaker 17 (43:17):
Well, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
Back to the cold cuts thing. You guys are eating
the hell out of these meats. Some quality meat. And
everyone's loving them. Daniel, thanks for rolling in through the
deli today.

Speaker 14 (43:27):
You're welcome.

Speaker 19 (43:27):
Yeah, I went to a deli that I go to
a lot. They're actually a catering hall as well, and they.

Speaker 14 (43:33):
Make delicious stuff. I always love what they have.

Speaker 19 (43:35):
And they always do the Greek diet there. So a
lot of the food they have is like Greek food.
Obviously not the cold cuts, but it's all a Greek
inspired cooking and it's delicious.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
All right. So you know what? It doesn't have to
be a cake.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (43:48):
Free your mind, people. You don't have to get a cake,
even though cake is always loved. I got to say,
this is some spread. She didn't just get turkey and
cheese and call it a day. She got all. Can
you give us the list? Go ahead, scary. The floor
is yours. Okay, I see ham. I see pepperoni. I
see salami and Swiss cheese and provolone. What am I forgetting?
Don't sleep on that roast beef. That is some shit.

(44:09):
Is that what that is? Yes. That's good. Did you
just say the brown word?

Speaker 13 (44:13):
He said legit.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Legit.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
Oh, God.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
It sounded like something else. Okay, are you two done?
Are Frick and Frack done here with their meat? Excellent meats. Okay,
thank you. Okay, thank you. The Scary and Nate Show
talking about meats. Do you want to add to that?

Speaker 12 (44:28):
Anyone?

Speaker 13 (44:30):
I think they've covered the meat talk.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
The thing is, is Gary's all excited about the meats.
I look down, he has two slices of bread with
no meat in between them. Yeah. Because I have a
job to do. Did you pull your meat out? I
have a job to do. I haven't gotten the meat yet,
but it looks great.

Speaker 19 (44:43):
I want to give a shout out to the Maywood
Market in Maywood, New Jersey, because that's where I always go.
I paid full price, though, just so you know. But
maybe next time we won't have to.

Speaker 14 (44:52):
So thank you to the neighborhood market.

Speaker 19 (44:53):
They should actually advertise with us. They are a great
gourmet place.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
They just did for free.

Speaker 1 (44:59):
Well, yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
Give us some cash. Maybe that'll work. Maybe that'll work. Hey, gosh.
We've got to tell you what we're doing this weekend.
We're doing a site check. We're so excited. We're going
to hop on Norwegian Cruise, a cruise line. Which ship
are we on?

Speaker 20 (45:13):
Do we know?

Speaker 3 (45:13):
The Getaway.

Speaker 10 (45:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
Oh, and we're going to get away just for the weekend.

Speaker 20 (45:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
We're going to go check out Stirrup Key or K.
What do they prefer, K or Key? It's either or,
you know. Key, usually, yeah. And that's the good thing.
Going away for this weekend, you don't have to pack
a lot of clothing because it's 1,000 degrees there. And
we're going to be on the ocean. I love that.

(45:38):
So we'll come back. We'll tell you. We're going to
tell you how great it is and we're going to
plan to do a show there and we got to
invite people down. It's going to be nice, but not
this weekend. We're just going to go hide. You don't
even know us. We're going to wear, we're going to
wear disguises on.

Speaker 13 (45:52):
I did bring my mustache and glasses.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
Yeah. Groucho Marx mustache and nose. So that's a weekend.
And someone said, what are you doing this weekend? Well,
I've got to work. It's work weekend. Oh, God. Sorry.
Where are you going? Now, tell them where we're going. Like,
that's not work.

Speaker 4 (46:08):
It's work.

Speaker 13 (46:09):
Every single person says that.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
It is.

Speaker 14 (46:12):
We got to get up really early on Saturday. I'm
really not happy about that.

Speaker 3 (46:17):
It's okay. Yeah, we got to get up early. It's hot. Oh,
it's hot. Sand is hot. So much sun.

Speaker 10 (46:24):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
It is.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
And, you know, it's dangerous.

Speaker 5 (46:28):
Yeah, it is.

Speaker 3 (46:29):
Not only is it work, it's danger because of all
the sun rays. You know, we've got to protect our skin.
Don't you understand what we do for this show?

Speaker 10 (46:38):
We do a lot.

Speaker 13 (46:40):
And we're not appreciated.

Speaker 7 (46:43):
Nope.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
Let's get into the three things we need to know.
Can you call ahead and make sure there's plenty of
ice for the cocktail? Because it's so hot, the ice
is going to melt fast, and it's going to water
down the drinks. Don't you understand what we're doing? We're
putting our lives on the line for you.

Speaker 10 (47:00):
And we don't even get a weekend.

Speaker 13 (47:01):
We have to hang out with each other.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
What is that?

Speaker 14 (47:03):
No family?

Speaker 3 (47:05):
In reality, that's the bad part. All right. The three
things we need to know from Gandhi. We have a
phone tap on the way. Gandhi, you're up.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (47:12):
All right.

Speaker 16 (47:13):
Well, President Trump told supporters at the Republican Midterm Convention
that he would issue a $ 5, 000 payment to every adult U.S.
citizen only if Republicans retain control of both the House
and Senate in November. He described what he's calling the
Trump dividend as a distribution from economic success and suggested
that tariffs could help fund it. The idea would cost
well over $ 1 trillion. He did not detail the exact

(47:34):
eligibility rules, the legislative path, or how.

Speaker 13 (47:37):
Payments would be administered.

Speaker 16 (47:38):
The announcement is being treated by many as a late
campaign turnout play due to extremely low approval numbers. And
of course, it immediately raised the question of whether this
is vote buying.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
Under U.S.

Speaker 16 (47:49):
Law, classic vote buying is a crime. But a candidate
promising that the government will later send checks if their
party wins is treated differently.

Speaker 13 (47:57):
So they're saying this is a promise. It's not illegal.

Speaker 16 (48:02):
Hawaii Governor Josh Green has gotten a firsthand look at
the devastation left behind by Hurricane Lowell. Thousands are still
without power on Kauai, and Green says most isolated areas
of the island could wait up to one month for
their electricity to be restored.

Speaker 13 (48:16):
The state is set.

Speaker 16 (48:17):
To provide hotel rooms or vacation rental spaces for residents
who have to wait for that power. According to the governor,
the initial damage estimate indicates the storm will.

Speaker 13 (48:26):
Cost over $ 400 million.

Speaker 16 (48:29):
To offset those costs, he has contacted the White House
and FEMA to expedite a disaster declaration, which will hopefully
cover about 75% of those costs if approved.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
And finally.

Speaker 16 (48:41):
We were talking about this off the air, but last month, August,
was the hottest August on Earth as long as records
have been kept. And it tied for the hottest month
ever recorded. The average temperature for the planet was about
62.5 degrees Fahrenheit, nearly three degrees warmer than the pre-industrial era.
That's according to the European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service,

(49:03):
which released the data this week. It's the level of
warming that the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement was trying to prevent.
That agreement is looking to prevent that rise over decades,
just not I'm sorry, not just a one month peak.
But the United Nations said last week that the goal
is actually no longer feasible. It's asking nations to cut
CO2 emissions more quickly to limit how far beyond.

Speaker 13 (49:25):
The target we go.

Speaker 16 (49:27):
We're moving at a very quick pace when it comes
to climate change. And those are your three things.

Speaker 5 (49:32):
The Brooklyn Boys Podcast with Brody and Scary.

Speaker 17 (49:36):
What the f * * * kind of Chinese restaurant
doesn't have roast pork?

Speaker 5 (49:39):
Open your free iHeartRadio app, search Brooklyn Boys, and listen today.
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. Don't answer the phone,
Elvis Duran. The Elvis Duran phone tap.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
All right, the phone tap. What do you have, Garrett?

Speaker 15 (49:59):
So college is getting ready to start up again, and
Noah's about to start his freshman year. So Noah's mom, Christine,
thought it would be an amazing idea for me to
phone tap her son, Noah. So I'm going to call
Noah as his new roommate he's about to move in with.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
Oh, you're going to mess with him. All right, let's
listen to Garrett's phone tap. Oh, no, what's up, dude?
My name's Joshua.

Speaker 15 (50:19):
I'm going to be your roommate in a couple weeks
when you move into campus.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
Yeah, man, that's cool. Yeah, my mom was going to
pay me to get some stuff once I kind of
settled in that first weekend.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
So you got nothing right now?

Speaker 2 (50:34):
You know, I've got a TV and, you know, I've
got a couple things.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
How big?

Speaker 2 (50:40):
It's like a, I don't know, like.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
I got a 52 that will fit perfectly in the room.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
I mean, that's a big TV. I mean, you've seen
our dorm rooms, right?

Speaker 3 (50:49):
Yeah, no, no, no.

Speaker 15 (50:50):
I've actually lived in this exact room for the past
three semesters.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
You're not a freshman. You've been in the same... Oh, no, no, no.

Speaker 15 (50:58):
I'm still a freshman. Let's just say I'm taking the
very extended program.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
So you're like three years older than me?

Speaker 15 (51:09):
I'm 24. Don't worry about it. Listen, so I can
get the fridge. I got some lofts. You know, we
can bunk the beds, you know, be cool.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
Are you cool? You know, if I bring a girl back.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Oh, yeah, man. That's cool. I can just leave. You know,
you can.

Speaker 10 (51:22):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
It's totally cool. Listen, she's totally cool with it. We're
into it. No worries. You don't need to leave.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
Well, I mean, we will talk about it.

Speaker 15 (51:32):
By any chance, have you been in jail? All right, cool,
because I'm not allowed with my record to hang out
with other criminals, so you can move forward.

Speaker 3 (51:42):
Don't worry about it. I'm sure I'll tell you sometime.

Speaker 11 (51:45):
Oh, God.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
You have a criminal record?

Speaker 15 (51:47):
You might say I do but you know according to
some places I.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Don't um no it's it's it's cool um.

Speaker 15 (51:57):
I'll get uh hey listen I gotta run I gotta
get to work I work over at the tattoo place
cool meeting you maybe we'll be able to uh hang
out sooner than.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Later sure sure that's great.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
I think I've scared him. I think you freaked him out.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Wait, he's calling on the other line.

Speaker 15 (52:16):
All right, here's what we'll do. Just let that go
to voicemail, and we'll call him back in a few minutes.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
Okay. All right, hold on.

Speaker 7 (52:24):
Hello?

Speaker 17 (52:25):
Hey, Noah.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Mom, oh, my God.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
What the hell have you been doing? I've been calling
you for, like, 15 minutes.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (52:32):
I just got a phone call from my doormate that's
in college. He called me.

Speaker 11 (52:37):
Oh, that's terrific.

Speaker 19 (52:38):
Is he like you?

Speaker 17 (52:39):
Is he?

Speaker 11 (52:40):
No, Mom.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
He's five years older than me.

Speaker 20 (52:44):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
He's five years older. He's been in school for 20 years.
He's got a criminal record. He'll know where to take you.
He's got a criminal record.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
Oh, you're being silly.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
No, I'm not going to school.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
No.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
Yes, you are. You are moving out of my house.

Speaker 14 (52:59):
You are going to school.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
No, you know there's a problem with stuff first. I'm
not going to that school.

Speaker 11 (53:02):
You've got to grow up and live in the world,
and that's what the world is.

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Don't be a baby.

Speaker 11 (53:06):
You just have to smoke a little weed and come down, okay?

Speaker 2 (53:10):
You are crazy.

Speaker 12 (53:12):
Not crazy.

Speaker 3 (53:12):
No, I'm not smoking pot.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
And I'm not going to go to this school and
live with a criminal that's like... Five years older than me.

Speaker 11 (53:19):
Stop sucking your thumb and move on.

Speaker 20 (53:21):
I'm not sucking my thumb.

Speaker 2 (53:23):
This is serious.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
You sucked your thumb until you were 14 years old.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
I'm going to go to school, and if I turn
up missing in a few months, this is all going
to be your fault. You'll be sorry.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
Noah.

Speaker 7 (53:34):
Hello?

Speaker 15 (53:35):
Noah, my name's Garrett from Elvis Turing in the Morning Show,
and you just got phone tapped.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
Oh, my God. I can't even breathe right now.

Speaker 11 (53:44):
Ah!

Speaker 1 (53:45):
The Elvis Duran phone tap.

Speaker 3 (53:47):
This phone tap was pre-recorded with permission granted by all participants.

Speaker 5 (53:52):
The Elvis Duran phone tap. Only on Elvis Duran and
the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
On America's darkest day, 9-11, America vowed to never forget.
Help our nation keep that promise. Donate $ 11 a month
and amplify your impact with a car or land donation.
Go to T2T. org. That's T, the number two, T.org. Hello!

Speaker 4 (54:22):
As we all know, tomorrow is 9-11.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
And as usual, as we've done for 25 years, we
will be in 9-11 mode.

Speaker 4 (54:26):
And we do it differently every year because the world
changes every year.

Speaker 5 (54:30):
So much has changed in these 25 years since 9-11.

Speaker 7 (54:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
I mean, it's a different world. It's a different world,
but it's the same 9-11. Oh, my alarm's going off.
Why is my alarm going off? I guess it's time
to wake up. Good morning, everyone. Wow. Anyway, 9-11 will
be the same. And I was thinking the other day
that as far as we're concerned... 9-11 changed how we

(55:13):
do our show, and it still to this day has
changed the way we think things through and how we
apply filters to things we do and do not talk
about and what we need to talk about. And so
out of such a tragic, awful, awful day, there have
been good things that we have learned. And that's the thing.
Anytime something bad happens, it's a learning experience. It could

(55:36):
be 9-11. It could be the death of a friend.
It could be just a car accident. It could be whatever.
There's things to be learned, you know? And so don't
be blind. Always have your ears, your heart, and your
eyes open to whatever you can learn from anything that's
going on. Because if you're in the middle of grieving,
if you're in the middle of pain, that's sometimes the
time to take a break from the grieving and pain

(55:57):
and study what you're going through. Is anyone with me? Yeah, 100%.

Speaker 13 (56:01):
You can always learn from something.

Speaker 3 (56:05):
So 9-11, yeah. Tomorrow, and I always felt sorry for
people who had a birthday on 9-11. I didn't feel
sorry for them, but I'm just wondering what it's like,
you know, having your birthday where it's a time to
celebrate on the day where a lot of people just
aren't in the mood to celebrate.

Speaker 6 (56:21):
Right.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
And sometimes my really good friend who was born on
September 11th would sort of retreat on his birthday because
he didn't want anyone to feel like they had to
be happy. And keep in mind, those were the early,
early days after this happened. We've evolved in so many
ways since then as far as handling and reliving that
awful day. For instance, here's a text. 9-11 birthday shout out.

(56:46):
My daughter, Bernie, turns nine on 9-11 tomorrow with her
birthday twin stepbrother, Michael. I grew up listening to you
guys in New York, and now Bernie listens with me
every morning. My dad is a retired FDNY. is retired
from FDNY, and worked search rescue after 9-11. Bernie brought
light back to that date for our family. We'd love

(57:07):
a happy birthday, Bernie and Michael, on Friday. Megan in Jacksonville,
thank you for listening to us. Well, it's a day early,
so we're celebrating with you today.

Speaker 19 (57:15):
And a lot of people use 9-11 now as a
day to give back, a day of service. And instead
of just thinking of all the sad things, which obviously
were horrific, they give back so that they can do
something good.

Speaker 3 (57:28):
I was thinking back to that day. I've got to
tell you a story. I was thinking back to 9-11
25 years ago, how we, because of our vantage point,
physically looking at the World Trade Center from our studios
across the river. I mean, it was right in front
of us when it all happened. We were having to
do our job. At the same time, we were living

(57:50):
through what everyone else was living through. And we were
sitting outside. In a 50-yard line seat witnessing history unfold
right in front of us. A heavy day. And I
don't think anyone, not just us, but anyone, no matter
where you were that day, has fully recuperated from what
that day did to you.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
Nope.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
You know, there's a lot of stuff buried down there. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 7 (58:14):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (58:15):
You know, for me, I'll speak for me, I'll speak
for everyone here, but that was quite a day. We'll
be talking a little about it tomorrow. We'll also have
our moment of silence, as we do every single year. Mm-hmm.
And we'll be together.

Speaker 11 (58:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (58:28):
So there you go. So a friend of mine, Don Anthony,
wanted me to write a few lines about what it
was like hosting a show with a team, with my
family that morning. And he wanted to print it in
this article generator he has every week about broadcasting and radio,
this and that. So I typed out some great stuff.

(58:51):
I mean, it was moving. I was in tears kind
of a little bit yesterday when I was typing it out.
And I said, you know what? It looks good, but
sometimes my spelling is off or whatever. Let me send
it through chat GBT real quick and see what it
comes back with. And it really was very close to
what I said. It wasn't them. It was chat GBT
was me. what I said. So I sent it to

(59:12):
him and it bounced back immediately as spam. Oh, wow.
You got caught. Yeah, I got caught using chat GPT.
And I was like, well, oh, crap. Chat GPT. So
I got caught. I got snagged. So I rewrote the
whole thing in my words. And it had nothing in
common with the original one because I was afraid to
send it. And it went through. So yeah, there's those

(59:35):
filters out there. And I'm sure a lot of professors,
a lot of teachers are using these filters to try
to catch people from using chat GPT or from plagiarism
or whatever. But I don't know. So the way chat
GPT writes is, I guess it writes in a certain
cadence in a certain way that is detectable by these computers, right? Gandhi,

(59:58):
you've been looking up on this.

Speaker 12 (59:59):
Totally.

Speaker 16 (01:00:00):
The way that it writes is very specific. If you
don't change things, you can tell very much that it
came from chat GPT. They're saying that the M dash
is a big giveaway about things, but also breaking what
should be a paragraph up into sentence, then space, then sense, like,
Very short, choppy phrases. And also, a lot of these
platforms are now putting, I don't want to call it

(01:00:20):
a watermark, but they're putting code into it so that
if you just.

Speaker 13 (01:00:23):
Copy all of it, it will pop. How stupid are you?

Speaker 10 (01:00:27):
People do it so much.

Speaker 14 (01:00:28):
It's so stupid. You don't copy it. You use it
as a reference and then tweak it a little bit.

Speaker 10 (01:00:33):
You don't, dumbasses.

Speaker 7 (01:00:34):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
Well, I guess I'm a dumbass today. All right. It
must be a Thursday.

Speaker 14 (01:00:41):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
Anyway, but AI, of course, with ChatGPT, it's constantly learning
from its own mistakes. So maybe it'll fix itself soon
so we can plagiarize once again. So anyway, let's go
around the room. This is my favorite time in the show.
I don't even have to vote on decisions for the show.

(01:01:03):
I guess I can just make a decision. We're going
to start doing these twice a day. What? Can you
guys keep up? Absolutely.

Speaker 13 (01:01:10):
I don't think I have that much going on in
my life.

Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
Well, you're going to have to make some.

Speaker 10 (01:01:14):
Make it all right.

Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
Chat GPT. Here's why I love Around the Room. Because
it gives everyone an individual spotlight. In the show. Because
we do have a crowded room. And so when we
try to have our conversation sometimes, it gets really crowded.
And it's hard to get your thoughts in. So this
is an opportunity for everyone to have their moment. So
let's go. Let's start with Gandhi. Around the room. It's

(01:01:38):
up to you.

Speaker 7 (01:01:39):
Go.

Speaker 13 (01:01:39):
I'm worried about myself. Because when I was home with
my mom and.

Speaker 16 (01:01:42):
Dad, they are obsessed with a show called Columbo. Apparently
they found some channel where it's like on loop.

Speaker 13 (01:01:55):
It plays all day.

Speaker 16 (01:01:58):
They will stay up until like one, two in the
morning watching Columbo. And I was like, well, I want
to hang out with my parents.

Speaker 13 (01:02:03):
So let's give this a shot. Not going to lie.
It's not a bad show.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
It's a good show.

Speaker 12 (01:02:10):
Columbo.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (01:02:11):
And then I went and I did a deep dive
because I was like, what in the hell is happening here?
It was on in the 70s, then it went away,
and it came back.

Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
Yes, absolutely.

Speaker 10 (01:02:20):
You all know this.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
It came back just like Columbo came back every single time.

Speaker 13 (01:02:25):
And another thing.

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
Peter Falk.

Speaker 6 (01:02:27):
Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (01:02:27):
Oh, no, that was it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
Another thing. Yeah. Peter Falk, the guy who played Columbo,
he was actually a big moneymaker at CBS, at Television City, whatever.
And we visited a friend who had his old office.
the Peter Falk office, which was haunted. Crab was flying
across the room like every day. Peter Falk was haunting
his office. By the way, that's Falk, F-A-L-K, if you're wondering.

(01:02:49):
But yeah, he was famous wearing that stupid trench coat.
He would interview someone who he thought was a murderer,
then he'd walk out the door, then he'd go, hey,
one more thing, and he'd turn back and come in.
And he dropped the bomb. I love that you're a
Columbo fan.

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
Man, it was hilarious.

Speaker 13 (01:03:03):
All of the fight scenes.

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Great.

Speaker 10 (01:03:05):
It was incredible.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
Next, look up the show Mannix. You'll get into it. Oh, okay. Oh,
my God. nate what's up with you so.

Speaker 17 (01:03:13):
Ever look unhealthy like me yes you know you look
in the mirror you're like boy i just look sickly
it's because you're not tan so yesterday i went and
got a spray tan and look how healthy and vibrant
and vivacious i look don't i look great.

Speaker 16 (01:03:27):
You do i thought it was high blood pressure when
you walked in because you got a.

Speaker 17 (01:03:32):
Little tomato amazing how much healthier you look when you
got a little color in your skin right like like
like with a tan i don't tan i am one
of these people from whatever scandinavian country i i go
out in the sun i burn i peel and i
get skin cancer That's my routine. So when I get
a spray tan, I actually look like I'm alive. So

(01:03:54):
do yourself a favor. Get a spray tan if you
don't tan normally.

Speaker 14 (01:03:57):
I got the farmer's tan on my legs.

Speaker 19 (01:04:00):
Because you're always wearing shorts and you don't wear a
bathing suit all the time.

Speaker 14 (01:04:03):
So you've got that little tan line right where your
shorts end. It looks so ridiculous.

Speaker 19 (01:04:08):
I'm like, what is this?

Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
Well, Froggy has golfer's tan because he wears these little
white socks. So he's like dark, burnt orange down to
his ankles, and he's translucent. You can see his bones
and his veins and his feet. Hey, we'll go to
Producer Sam. She's back around the room. Go ahead.

Speaker 10 (01:04:24):
All right.

Speaker 18 (01:04:25):
Yes, my husband and I did have a baby, but
there is big news in my household otherwise.

Speaker 13 (01:04:30):
William had his first yogurt last week.

Speaker 6 (01:04:32):
What his first yogurt my husband had his first yogurt
ever oh my gosh it went a little too well
elvis there's no more room in my fridge he found
his new hyper fixation and what is that what is
that kind that we.

Speaker 18 (01:04:44):
Like oh icelandic provisions yeah whatever that is it is
delicious and and that's all we i'm telling him he
has to eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner because
he didn't check expiration dates like dude you gotta burn
through this but my 36 year old husband tried yogurt
for the first time and now it's half of his.

Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
Personality that's the best one. William's a healthy guy anyway,
and I think this will be right in line with
everything he's trying to do in his life.

Speaker 13 (01:05:04):
Big time for him.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
Good for you and your birth of yogurt. Scary, what's
up with you today?

Speaker 21 (01:05:10):
I love when brands have big personalities on social media.
I love when they can make fun of themselves, poke
fun at others. So, of course, you know, Denny's does it, Wendy's. Yesterday,
of course, Apple releases its iPhone Duo. Well, you know
that the Samsung Galaxy has had it for several years now,
the foldable phone. So they write on X to Apple,

(01:05:32):
let us know when you're done reheating our leftovers.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
Burn! Oh, man.

Speaker 21 (01:05:38):
And it got millions of retweets and watches. And I
just think, I'm not a Samsung guy by any stretch
of the imagination.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
But shout out to you guys. Hats off. I love that.
I love the Wendy's fights. Those are my favorite.

Speaker 14 (01:05:50):
They're awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
Wendy's gets snarky.

Speaker 8 (01:05:53):
Hey, Froggy, what's up with you today? So over the weekend,
we had an incident with our dog, Rex. He had
the runs for quite some time. It was a very
awful situation. So on Saturday, we had to take him
to the doctor, and we called and said, hey, can
we bring him in? They said, yeah, but you'll need
to get a sample and bring it with you. I'm like, okay, well,
he's going to go again in any second, so I'll

(01:06:14):
grab one. So I'm like, how am I going to
grab this? I had to get a teaspoon and a
Ziploc bag and follow him around in the yard.

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
I'm chasing him. He's trying to run away.

Speaker 8 (01:06:25):
From me because he's trying to do his business in private.
And I'm chasing him with a spoon and a Ziploc bag,
trying to get a sandwich. I got it, but I
would love to know what it looked like, me chasing
my dog around the yard with.

Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
A spoon in the bag.

Speaker 8 (01:06:38):
I would love to know where that spoon is. I
put it in the bag and gave it to the vet.
I'm like, here you go.

Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Contribution. Poor guy. Hey, Danielle. It's all you. What's up?

Speaker 19 (01:06:54):
Some of us have our parents still. Some of us
have one. Some of us don't have them at all.
Last night, I took my mom to Practical Magic 2
to see the movie, to see the screening. It was
kind of like a premiere because the whole cast showed up.
I'm just telling you, spend the time with your parents
when you can.

Speaker 10 (01:07:10):
Amen.

Speaker 19 (01:07:11):
I had the best time with my mom and she
is the cutest because she doesn't go to a lot
of these things. So, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman walk
right by her and it was, oh my gosh, I
gotta text Sheila and she's texting her girlfriends and she's
taking video and she was so excited. I just saw
Sandra Bullock. Look how beautiful they are. Look at Nicole Kidman.

Speaker 10 (01:07:31):
She's so nice.

Speaker 19 (01:07:31):
She said that it was the cutest, cutest, cutest thing
ever and I had the best time with my mom. So,
Spend time with your parents when you can because one
day you're going to say, gosh, I should have.

Speaker 14 (01:07:42):
Believe me.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Without doubt.

Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:07:45):
Without doubt. You know what? There's a big movement going on.
At least there's a reporting on this movement about kids
who are divorcing their parents and parents who don't talk
to their siblings.

Speaker 4 (01:07:54):
Whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
And I just think that's a scary thing. That's a
scary road to go down. I know politics in a
family can be just horrendous. And I never really had
those in mind. So who am I to say anything?
But yeah, you can have these fights, these squabbles, but
when they're gone, they're gone.

Speaker 20 (01:08:10):
Poof.

Speaker 3 (01:08:11):
They're gone. That was a good point. And by the way,
addressing your mother, Danielle, we took a vote while you
were in the bathroom. We voted she's cooler than you.

Speaker 14 (01:08:19):
I tell you, she's more social than me.

Speaker 19 (01:08:24):
She's lived in my town a lot less, and she
knows more about the town and things than I do.

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
She's great. Awesome. You hope and pray that your parents,
as they get older, are going to be just like...
just like danielle's mom yeah that's really cool all right
into the three things we need to know we are
heading for the finish line of course at the finish
line is food news thursday report from froggy that's on
the way all right what's going on gandhi.

Speaker 16 (01:08:47):
All right today is the one year mark of the
shooting of charlie kirk during that speaking event on a
college campus we know that he was 31 years old
reflecting on this week's anniversary in an essay for the
new york times his widow erica kirk said that grief
is there always but that she's learning that mourning and
living life at the same time are part of the
rhythm of grief tyler robinson the man charged with charlie

(01:09:08):
kirk's murder has pleaded not guilty And finally. NBA Finals

(01:09:33):
MVP Jalen Brunson will open a new season of NBC's
Saturday Night Live.

Speaker 13 (01:09:37):
Danielle talked about this.

Speaker 16 (01:09:38):
The network tapped him to host the comedy show on
September 26th. And the special musical guest is going to
be Cat's Eye. People seem to be very excited about that.
And those are your three things.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
Waking up in the morning, thinking about so many things.

Speaker 5 (01:09:54):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 18 (01:10:21):

Speaker 10 (01:10:22):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
You know what? I never, ever want to go back
to a world of dating. I just don't want to
do it. If, God forbid, my marriage dissolves, I'm not
doing it. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
You're out?

Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
Yeah, I'm out.

Speaker 4 (01:10:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Does anyone agree or disagree with that statement? Would you
want to date again?

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
No, no, no. Not really.

Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
Gandhi would. Look at that.

Speaker 13 (01:10:48):
I mean, I feel like there are still good people
out there.

Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
I'm sure.

Speaker 13 (01:10:50):
They just are having a hard time finding each other.

Speaker 7 (01:10:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
Yeah, my problem isn't with the people out there. My
problem's with me.

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Oh, that's a different story.

Speaker 13 (01:10:57):
Yeah, I am the red flag, so if someone wants
to date me, that's their problem.

Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
But, you know... I started out in the dating world
way before dating apps were a thing, right? And then
by the time I was settled down, the dating apps
were at full roar. But now it seems as if
dating apps are on the decline.

Speaker 14 (01:11:14):
They are.

Speaker 3 (01:11:15):
They are. Not for everyone. So don't go crazy and
start texting, you know, I'm on a dating app. Okay, fine.
But not as many people are joining you, apparently. And
so my question is, how are people... Meeting each other
the old fashioned way, like actually getting out of the
house and doing something, putting their phones down.

Speaker 13 (01:11:34):
Seems like it.

Speaker 16 (01:11:34):
I was just reading about how hobby like hobby activities
or I guess whatever.

Speaker 13 (01:11:40):
I don't even know what you would say.

Speaker 16 (01:11:41):
Hobbies building your hobbies is the way that people are
trying to meet other people now, because like, let's say,
you know, Home Depot offers a bunch of classes.

Speaker 13 (01:11:47):
You can learn like shiplap and all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 16 (01:11:50):
So people are going to these classes and trying to
meet people at the classes so that even if it
fails and it's not a good experience, they're getting something
out of it and maybe already have a common interest
and like-minded people that are going to be there.

Speaker 14 (01:12:02):
That's a good way to do it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
All right. Well, I'm thinking that through. What are my hobbies?

Speaker 16 (01:12:08):
What would your hobbies be? Where would you like to
meet someone? Like a meet cute, if you were not.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
I'll start with shiplap if I need to. That's nice.
I can see you doing shiplap.

Speaker 14 (01:12:18):
He's going to go to a couple football games.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
Yeah, maybe football.

Speaker 10 (01:12:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (01:12:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
Have you thought about what is your hobby? Look, it
can't be just any hobby. It has to be one
that involves having to meet new people who are in
discovery of expanding their hobby.

Speaker 11 (01:12:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:12:34):
I go to Broadway, but probably 50% of those people
don't want to date me.

Speaker 13 (01:12:39):
Those men ain't into you, Daniel.

Speaker 20 (01:12:41):
50%.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
Oh, it's higher. I mean, it's not a you problem.

Speaker 14 (01:12:45):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
Yeah, Scary, what hobby do you have that would get
you out there to meet people in the singles world?

Speaker 21 (01:12:52):
I mean, no, I have nerdy, stupid hobbies. But what
I was going to say was the hobby of loving baseball.
City Field, where the Mets play, did a really cool
thing the other night where they said, look, these people
all have something in common. We're Mets fans. So they
did City Field Singles Night. And I heard it was
pretty successful. It was a great game from what I understand.

(01:13:12):
And I saw some clips on the news and people
went out to meet people based on the fact that
they have the Mets fan thing in common.

Speaker 3 (01:13:20):
Cool icebreaker, right? I'm a Met fan. You're a Met fan.
Let's talk about how bad the team is this year.
Without doubt. No, that would work. It's organized. They actually said, hey,
we're marketing this as an event. Come one, come all,
especially if you're single.

Speaker 16 (01:13:32):
That's kind of a funny thing, though, because I think
singles nights are good, and to advertise that is good,
because then you have the expectation that I'm going and
I can talk to people. But Diamond was like, me
knowing that it's a singles event, I will never.

Speaker 10 (01:13:43):
Go to that.

Speaker 13 (01:13:44):
I'm not going to do it.

Speaker 10 (01:13:44):
You're a Mets fan.

Speaker 13 (01:13:45):
You should be going to that.

Speaker 10 (01:13:47):
She was not interested.

Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
Garrett, what about Mets fans getting together for a dating night? Well,
they have losing in common.

Speaker 10 (01:13:55):
Oh, Garrett, don't start, honey. High five, Garrett. High five.
Don't you start, buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
Build a relationship off of that. Hey, you know, I'm
a loser. You're a loser. Let's mash it up. Come on,
losers together.

Speaker 14 (01:14:07):
Maybe two losers make a winner.

Speaker 12 (01:14:08):
Danielle, Aspen Villa hasn't been doing too well this season.

Speaker 10 (01:14:13):
Don't start, you guys.

Speaker 14 (01:14:14):
Hush your face over there.

Speaker 17 (01:14:15):
Hush your face.

Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
Listen to that. Diamond, that's the voice of Diamond, who,
by the way, we're celebrating her birthday today.

Speaker 6 (01:14:19):
Woo!

Speaker 3 (01:14:21):
And she's already bitching and moaning. She's going to the
zoo today. She's not happy.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Yeah, why?

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
You're not going to the zoo for, is this a
birthday outing?

Speaker 12 (01:14:28):
It is, but it's not my birthday. So some of
you may know I share a birthday now with a
baby cousin. My cousin and best friend had a baby
last year, two days before my birthday. Why couldn't the
little girl wait? It would have been better if it
was like our birthday for real, September 12th.

Speaker 10 (01:14:43):
No, she's two days early, but it lumps it all in.
My cousin sends an itinerary out and she's like, for
Diamond and Elle's birthday.

Speaker 20 (01:14:50):
No.

Speaker 6 (01:14:50):
No.

Speaker 10 (01:14:51):
Two separate things.

Speaker 3 (01:14:52):
Thank you.

Speaker 20 (01:14:52):
Hold on.

Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
It's a beautiful day in New York City. It's the
Central Park Zoo. Why would anyone not want to go
check that out? It sounds like a day.

Speaker 10 (01:15:01):
I'm not really into animals. Another thing that she should
have known about me, like, I don't want to see animals.

Speaker 14 (01:15:07):
The penguins are so cute at the Central Park Zoo.

Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
Not into them. She doesn't like them. The Central Park
Zoo is in the middle of Central Park, so you
have the park to get there, and then it's park.
It's just what happens. There's some animals that could kill
you right there next to you.

Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
Exactly.

Speaker 10 (01:15:25):
I'm like, girl, did you think about this? She's one.
If something happens, she can't run. You got to grab
her and run. You know what I mean?

Speaker 13 (01:15:32):
I'm out of there. Do you think you could ever
meet your dream man at the Central Park Zoo?

Speaker 12 (01:15:35):
Never.

Speaker 10 (01:15:36):
Because if he likes it, then never mind.

Speaker 1 (01:15:38):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
Wow. Look at you. You are eliminating. You know what?
You got to think about the numbers of people who
are possibilities in the dating world. Okay, Diamond?

Speaker 20 (01:15:48):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
If you have a turn-your-nose-up situation at any situation, like
going to the zoo or whatever, you are eliminating a
pool of people. Those are numbers of people. Okay, fine.

Speaker 19 (01:16:00):
When you go to the zoo today, there's the children's
zoo also, and you can feed some of the animals.

Speaker 10 (01:16:05):
That is not happening. Take pictures.

Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Yeah, that's worse.

Speaker 10 (01:16:08):
That's not happening. I don't think you like when dogs
stick their tongues out.

Speaker 3 (01:16:11):
Danielle's not helping at all. At all.

Speaker 10 (01:16:16):
Just there for the vibes.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
But out there dating, God bless you. There are some
people who love stacking up dates, like several in a week,
just to get out there and just meet people and
get things going. I don't know.

Speaker 16 (01:16:28):
People have stopped dating in record numbers, too. Every single
person in here was pretty much like, nah, I'm not
going to try that again.

Speaker 13 (01:16:35):
And that's kind of the sentiment for millennials, Gen Z,
all the people that are becoming single.

Speaker 16 (01:16:40):
They don't want to try it anymore because it's just,
as Diamond likes to say, the dating pool is filled
with poop.

Speaker 7 (01:16:47):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
Okay. They're floating. Floating people. But look at Nate over here.
He's our biggest dater on the show. He's the only
dater on the show right now, actually. And I'm at
a crossroads, Elvis. What happened to you last night? Do
you want to admit this to people in the air? Well,
let me explain the story. So I was walking home.

Speaker 17 (01:17:05):
And, you know, there's a lot of people on the
sidewalk of New York City, and there's this very pretty
girl next to me, and she's walking, and all of
a sudden I hear clang, and she goes ass over
tea kettle. She does like a cartwheel on the sidewalk.

Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
Can you explain to people living in this century what
that means? She caught her shoe on one of those
cellar doors that they have on the New York City sidewalk.
Ass over tea kettle.

Speaker 17 (01:17:26):
Yeah, her butt went over her head, and she fell
on the ground, and drops all of her stuff food
goes flying and so i'm like oh my gosh miss
i'm so young are you okay and i'm trying to
help her with her stuff and she was very pretty
and i'm thinking in my head.

Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
This is how movies start like this.

Speaker 17 (01:17:43):
I'm gonna get her phone number and she grabs this
stuff out of my hands it goes i'm so embarrassed
go away from me and she runs.

Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Down the side oh That's funny, actually.

Speaker 14 (01:17:56):
Can we find her, maybe?

Speaker 10 (01:17:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 17 (01:17:58):
I'm like holding her phone and her bag and her
bowl that had spilled all over.

Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
These are moments where you need a body cam at
all times. I was like, God, she's beautiful, and here
I am, the guy that's going to help her. I'm
holding her arm, and she's trying to get her shoe
back on. You were. You were her knight in shining armor.
I'm so embarrassed. You were her knight in shining armor.

Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
And she didn't seize it. You know, but I wonder.
I wonder if she's out there today going, gosh, you know,
he was handsome, and he was very, very gallant. I
shouldn't have freaked out.

Speaker 17 (01:18:33):
I certainly hope so, Elvis. I hope that thought that
you just had went through her brain at least once.

Speaker 11 (01:18:37):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
What street did this happen on? This happened right in
front of Joe's Pizza, as a matter of fact. Which one?
The West Village one, the popular one that everybody goes to. Oh,
the one on Christopher Street. Yeah, yeah. All right. so
if you were asked over a tea kettle last night...
on Christopher Street near Joe's Pizza. Would you please get
in touch with us? We could have. Remember the old
days you could go on whatever and you could say, hey,

(01:19:00):
was that you on the subway last night with the
big boobs?

Speaker 13 (01:19:03):
Craigslist missed connections.

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
Yes, missed connections. We could have missed connections here. It
really was like how a movie starts, right? But it
wasn't meant to be.

Speaker 16 (01:19:12):
Now that there are flock cameras everywhere, maybe you can
use it for bad like a lot of people are
and trace her steps back to her apartment.

Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
That would be creepy. Stalker.

Speaker 13 (01:19:19):
People love that.

Speaker 3 (01:19:21):
Just don't kill this one. i'm not a murderer i
don't know that's what a murderer would say all right
let's get into sound with garrett garrett is here our
good american.

Speaker 15 (01:19:29):
All right uh what do you have let's start with
football so the 49ers and rams play tonight in australia
and the 49ers uh have been doing a ton of
press because they've been there for almost a week and
uh the coach kyle shanahan is upset that he hasn't
seen some stereotypical things in australia.

Speaker 20 (01:19:44):
Because i really haven't been outside the building for more
than like probably a 30 minute walk um Yeah, that
I don't see kangaroos and crocodiles everywhere. I was expecting
to see that, and it looks like a very normal,
cool city.

Speaker 3 (01:19:57):
He needs to get out. Yes, exactly.

Speaker 15 (01:20:00):
Well, with that, too, the time change has really screwed
up Kyle Shanahan, too. Listen to him try to describe
what a week is like trying to get ready for
a game.

Speaker 20 (01:20:08):
My clock, and it says the time, and then I
try to see my family's time, and it says the time,
but it says yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
I don't even get how that's possible. So I feel
like I'm in the future.

Speaker 20 (01:20:17):
And then also when we play on our Friday, which
I think is a Thursday in the U.S., we're such
creatures of habit, so I call today Tuesday. No, wait, sorry,
I call today Wednesday, which is the first day we put.

Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
In a game plan.

Speaker 20 (01:20:27):
But I think it's Monday.

Speaker 3 (01:20:29):
However, though, it's Sunday in the present.

Speaker 7 (01:20:31):
So, like.

Speaker 20 (01:20:32):
I'm going to mess that up all week if you
guys ask me.

Speaker 3 (01:20:34):
I can't hear you anymore. It's scrambling my brain. Yeah, no, no, no.
I see what they're going through. All right.

Speaker 15 (01:20:41):
This guy took to TikTok after he went to Subway
to get a sandwich and noticed this customer's order, and
the customer had a line in the sand that he
drew when it came to ordering more food.

Speaker 7 (01:20:50):
I was just at Subway getting lunch, and the guy
in front of me ordered a foot-long tuna sandwich and
four chocolate chip cookies. And when he got to the register,
the cashier asked him if he wanted a bag of chips,
and he said, I don't need any of that process.

Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
I guess we all have a line somewhere. Yes, we do. Yes,
we do.

Speaker 14 (01:21:09):
All right.

Speaker 15 (01:21:10):
So we have a Dolly Parton tribute. So this is
with a bunch of boom whackers. Those are the things
you see at sporting events and like hollow tubes and
they make loud sounds. Listen to this great Dolly Parton
nine to five tribute.

Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
Those are boom whackers.

Speaker 21 (01:21:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:21:39):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (01:21:40):
I'm going to go to Home Depot and try that today.

Speaker 15 (01:21:42):
And then finally, we got to talk back from our
listener who wanted to update us with what he did
on his summer vacation.

Speaker 9 (01:21:47):
Just want to let you guys know, I tried to
make some extra money this summer by putting my feet
online to sell my feet pics. And oh my God,
nobody wants to buy them.

Speaker 3 (01:21:56):
So it's almost like a big scam.

Speaker 9 (01:21:58):
Just want to let you guys know, do not do
it if Gandhi wants to try to make some extra money.
I'm having such a bad luck with it.

Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
Good luck. Just want to say. That stinks.

Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
Sorry, buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
We should buy them.

Speaker 7 (01:22:08):
I know.

Speaker 14 (01:22:08):
I was going to say we should buy them and
give those guys some money.

Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Poor guy.

Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
Well, thank you. You're a good American.

Speaker 1 (01:22:13):
You got it.

Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
You got it.

Speaker 7 (01:22:14):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
All right, Danielle.

Speaker 1 (01:22:15):
All right.

Speaker 19 (01:22:16):
Avengers Doomsday has already made $ 50 million so far in
domestic pre-sale tickets, and it doesn't even hit theaters until
December 18th, which is a little over three months away,
so that's crazy. Marvel Studios says that more than 70%
of those pre-sales are for Infinity Vision, which is kind
of like Disney's version of IMAX.

Speaker 14 (01:22:36):
But yeah, I mean, people cannot wait to see this movie.
Dancing with the Stars, the new season, is.

Speaker 19 (01:22:42):
Kicking off September 15th to the 15th, 16th. I think
they're doing like a couple of episodes. So Guillermo from
Jimmy Kimmel is one of the contestants. Now, when you
are training to be on Dancing with the Stars, normally
you lose weight. Guillermo has put on 10 pounds.

Speaker 14 (01:22:59):
Of muscle, I'm sure.

Speaker 19 (01:23:01):
Now, he does say it could be muscle, but he
also says that after he trains, he's so hungry, he
goes and stuffs his face.

Speaker 14 (01:23:09):
So he eats a lot. So that could be why.
But I cannot wait to see him. It's going to
be so much fun to watch this season of Dancing
with the Stars.

Speaker 19 (01:23:16):
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is saying that they
arrested a stalker outside of Kris Jenner's home.

Speaker 14 (01:23:22):
Apparently, this person has been obsessed with Kris.

Speaker 19 (01:23:25):
He has repeatedly tried to contact her and he got
detained outside the gated drive going into their property. So, yeah, very,
very scary stuff. Where in the world is Lady Gaga?
That's the new question. Some of her friends think that
she has run off to a mystery location for an
under the radar wedding to her fiance, Michael. Then they're saying, well,

(01:23:46):
we haven't heard from her in over a month. Everybody
thinks she's eloped, maybe on her honeymoon.

Speaker 10 (01:23:51):
So I don't know. Could she be?

Speaker 19 (01:23:52):
I guess we'll find out sooner or later. What can
we go see in the theaters this weekend? Well, you
guys know today, Practical Magic 2 comes out. Nicole Kidman,
Sandra Bullock got to see a screening yesterday. I absolutely
loved it.

Speaker 14 (01:24:04):
My mom loved it.

Speaker 19 (01:24:06):
It's so funny, but it's also, you know, pulls at
those heartstrings and you're going to cry a little bit
at times. But it is definitely worth going to check
it out, especially if you are a fan of the
original or, you know, You've watched the original recently, which
my kids have.

Speaker 14 (01:24:21):
We also have the game in Australia.

Speaker 19 (01:24:23):
Tonight, your football game, the San Francisco 49ers taking on
the Rams. You've got the secret lives of Mormon wives.
All five episodes of season five dropped and also the
streaming premiere of Supergirl over on HBO Max.

Speaker 14 (01:24:35):
And that is my Danielle report.

Speaker 3 (01:24:37):
Let's play a hit. Scary. Let's not play one of
these songs that only you know. You want something old school?
Something borrowed? Something blue? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Something that a
bride would need for her wedding. I don't know what
that means.

Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:24:49):
What do you have? I wouldn't mind hearing a little
Bad Bunny. Okay. I don't know what I was thinking
of Bad Bunny. I don't know. I'm the only one talking.

Speaker 13 (01:24:58):
Oh, I thought you guys were choosing a song together.

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Everybody is. This is a group effort.

Speaker 13 (01:25:02):
A group project.

Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
Bad Bunny? Does that work for anyone?

Speaker 7 (01:25:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:25:06):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 7 (01:25:07):
Oh.

Speaker 13 (01:25:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:25:09):
Okay. All right.

Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
There's so many to choose from. We'll do this.

Speaker 1 (01:25:20):
That's weird. Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (01:25:24):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
I'm hiring for the Morning Show. We need a new
person on our team.

Speaker 11 (01:25:28):
Who?

Speaker 13 (01:25:29):
Who are you replacing?

Speaker 3 (01:25:30):
I don't know, but it... Bad Bunny's available. You can
hire Bad Bunny. You know what? You have to hire

Speaker 5 (01:26:53):
Call us at 1-800-242-0100. And get to you when.

Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
You're like actually on the phone.

Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
If you could find a song that has something to
do with food, it'd be nice to have that lined up.
Because we're about to do food news. If we need
a song, we need a food song.

Speaker 10 (01:27:10):
Good idea.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
I'll ask one more time. If you can find a
food-related song to put in, have it ready just in
case we need a song, that'd be kind of great. Yep,
you got it. Yes, Nate? I would suggest Milkshake by Khalees. Oh, wow.

Speaker 14 (01:27:24):
That's not really a food. That's like more of a beverage.
That's a food.

Speaker 3 (01:27:27):
I was going for cherry pie. How about Laffy Taffy?
What about Cake by the Ocean? That's a good one.

Speaker 7 (01:27:34):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
Okay, so if you could begin working on that, that'd
be pretty awesome.

Speaker 13 (01:27:38):
Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
Big hit. For all those parent heads out there, they
love it. Can we play a meatloaf song? Oh, my God.
I'm getting hungry. What about truffle butter? How about some
truffle butter on top of my do the mashed potatoes? Oh,
my God.

Speaker 16 (01:27:57):
I just saw that there's a song called All That
Meat and No Potatoes.

Speaker 20 (01:28:01):
What?

Speaker 13 (01:28:01):
I don't know, but it exists.

Speaker 7 (01:28:03):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
Was that Nicki Minaj?

Speaker 7 (01:28:06):
No.

Speaker 13 (01:28:07):
It's a guy named Fat Squalor.

Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
Anyway, look for a food song. Let's get into food news.
It's time for Froggy's segment. Food news. Go ahead and
delete that. Through process of elimination, we're going to drain
the swamps. Okay. All right. Get that out of there.

Speaker 20 (01:28:30):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:28:30):
You got it. Now, it is your day. It's your
turn to burn. Froggy, food news. Take it away.

Speaker 8 (01:28:35):
Elvis, as much as I know you can't stand that fall,
it's just about here.

Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
No.

Speaker 8 (01:28:40):
Pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie, pumpkin flavored everything. Well, Krispy Kreme says,
you know what? You need to move over. Their autumn
staple is going to be apple this year. In honor
of the fall season, Krispy Kreme is upgrading a classic
dessert and dropping a brand new apple cider original glazed
donut for a limited time only. So if you want
to try it out for your fall flavoring, make sure

(01:29:01):
you stop by Krispy Kreme. Chipotle has just launched their
brand new Chili Lime Chips for all customers. They started

Didn't we hear this story yesterday?

Speaker 6 (01:29:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:29:50):
But it's still food news. It's still food news. You're right.
It's a developing story.

Speaker 8 (01:29:58):
Girl Scout cookie season runs from January through April, so
make sure you get your orders ready now. Shake Shack
has released a brand new shake for Halloween. It does

sure you stop and get that.

Hold on.

Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
Rewind. Can we go back to summer? Let's talk about
a summer food. I'm not ready to let go.

Speaker 10 (01:30:38):
Stick a bit.

Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
I know. We had great lobster rolls yesterday. Those were good.

Speaker 12 (01:30:42):
So good.

Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
Hold it over as long as you'd like.

Speaker 20 (01:30:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (01:30:45):
Cousin's Maine lobster.

Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
Cousin's Maine lobster.

Speaker 1 (01:30:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:30:48):
But if Danielle want to stop and get our cream, uh,
mellow cream pumpkins and CBS, but you can go ahead and.

Speaker 3 (01:30:53):
Get those two. They're out everywhere now.

Speaker 14 (01:30:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:30:56):
You ready for the countdown?

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:30:58):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
Let's do it.

Speaker 8 (01:31:00):
The most expensive foods at the U S open tennis tournament.

Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
Here we go.

Speaker 8 (01:31:05):
Number five, a $ 29 chicken teriyaki ramen bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Ooh, God, that sounds good. All right.

Speaker 8 (01:31:12):
Number four, a $ 30 pastrami sandwich. Carnegie's deli's hot pastrami
on rye for 30 bucks.

Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
All right.

Speaker 8 (01:31:20):
Number three, a $ 38 French dip prime rib sandwich.

Speaker 7 (01:31:27):
Jesus.

Speaker 3 (01:31:30):
Number two, a lobster roll, $ 39. 50 at the open. All right.

Speaker 8 (01:31:38):
And number one, six Korean-style chicken nuggets and caviar going
for $ 100 at the US Open.

Speaker 20 (01:31:46):
My God.

Speaker 7 (01:31:47):
Insane.

Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
That's $ 16. 67 per chicken nugget, by the way. You did
the math.

Speaker 7 (01:32:01):
I did.

Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
I love it. And there you go. There's your food news.
Thank you.

Speaker 14 (01:32:05):
Frog, frog, froggy food news.

Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
He tell you.

Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
Everything you need to know. Did that not make the
cut either?

Speaker 11 (01:32:20):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:32:20):
Scary.

Speaker 20 (01:32:21):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:32:21):
For the fourth time, can I have a song about food?
So here's the deal.

Speaker 21 (01:32:25):
Look at what I just wrote in the chat, and
you pick one from that list, because those are the
hot ones.

Speaker 3 (01:32:31):
Okay, but we should have... You know what? Let's just
not play a food song. I don't think it's meant
to be. You just want me to take it because
I have the one I want. It's okay. That was
a great food news segment. Even though we do think
that you're getting money from Krispy Kreme because you're talking
about them every single week. Because Krispy Kreme does the
best at making... They always have.

Speaker 8 (01:32:49):
Something going on for what's going on wherever we are,
whatever we're doing.

Speaker 13 (01:32:53):
You're in bed with big Kreme.

Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
Big donut.

Speaker 1 (01:32:58):

Speaker 3 (01:34:16):
Oh, yes, I did. Yes, I did.

Speaker 22 (01:34:18):

Speaker 13 (01:35:56):
See, I need you in my life for me.

Speaker 3 (01:35:58):
To stay No, no, no, no, no, no, you'll stay.

Speaker 4 (01:36:07):
Hey.

Speaker 17 (01:36:08):
Hey.

Speaker 7 (01:36:08):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
This is Elvis Duran in the morning show.

Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
Sitting next to Nate on the plane today. How did
Nate get so lucky to sit next to me on
the plane today? Usually Danielle's the one that wins that one. Well,
I do have a favor. So what? Since I am
sitting next to you and you'll have your bag, would
you put something in your bag for me?

Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:37:16):
Nate. No, because I know what you're... No, it's that
creatine stuff. It looks like cocaine. I'm not putting it
in my bag. It's this.

Speaker 13 (01:37:22):
Why would you put it in a baggie like that?

Speaker 17 (01:37:24):
I have nothing else. I got nothing else to put
it in. So I got to put it in a
little baggie so it looks like an eight ball. Well,
then just tell them it's creatine. I mean, if they ask,
they'll sample it, and you'll be on your way. It
does look suspicious, doesn't it?

Speaker 3 (01:37:35):
It does look very sus. It's very sus. I don't know. Actually,
it doesn't. If someone's going to actually carry cocaine on
an airplane, they're not going to put it in a baggie.

Speaker 19 (01:37:42):
Yes, and Sheldon did the same thing, and he had
even more in a baggie on our way to Greece.

Speaker 14 (01:37:47):
Went right through security.

Speaker 3 (01:37:48):
No, okay. I'm not worried about it. Yeah, Scotty B.
What's Scotty have to say here?

Speaker 12 (01:37:52):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
Megan uses that stuff also. When we go to hotels,
she actually writes cocaine on the bag. And it spills
on the counter when she's pouring it into the water bottle,
so there's powder everywhere. When they come into the room,
there's cocaine. Another thing, it's not really real if you
write the word cocaine on the back.

Speaker 13 (01:38:07):
People do often label their drugs with the name of
the drug.

Speaker 3 (01:38:09):
I know. You don't want to mix it up.

Speaker 6 (01:38:11):
Please.

Speaker 3 (01:38:12):
So no, I'm not going to carry your creatine or cocaine,
whatever it is.

Speaker 13 (01:38:16):
Also, what a crazy request.

Speaker 16 (01:38:17):
You want one of us to take the heat for you?

Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
I'm a clean cut guy. I don't have a record.
I don't know. He just wants to stir it up,
and it's not working. Not working. But you know what?
And paybacks are hell. So on the plane ride. I'm
going to just talk your ear off. Oh, no. I've
been planning. I've been planning.

Speaker 17 (01:38:34):
You know, the only way to combat your conversation is
to have conversation to give to you, right? So I'm
just going to just bombard you with top work.

Speaker 3 (01:38:43):
Or me.

Speaker 8 (01:38:45):
Talk to other people and get them involved with his conversation.
That will make him angry as well.

Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
Shut up, Froggy. You know what? I think it's time
to budget cut. We're going to go to budget cuts
right now. Oh, my God. Nate and Froggy.

Speaker 1 (01:39:01):
Goodbye.

Speaker 3 (01:39:03):
What was that stupid joke? The weakest link. You are
the weakest links.

Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
Goodbye.

Speaker 3 (01:39:08):
Goodbye. Now, here's what we'll do. I'll make a deal
with you. Okay. When we sit down to fly, as
soon as they close the door to take off, neither
of us can talk to the other.

Speaker 10 (01:39:18):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 5 (01:39:19):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:39:20):
Let's see how long you go. Because you know I'm
fun to talk to. You are kind of fun, right? Well, okay.
You're going to learn your lesson today.

Speaker 14 (01:39:29):
I kind of like that I can sleep, though. That
kind of makes me happy.

Speaker 3 (01:39:33):
Don't be so sure. We'll play with Danielle. I'll let
her sleep. Don't be so sure. Yes, Gary.

Speaker 21 (01:39:37):
I must say, this September movie selection on United happens
to be amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:39:42):
What is it?

Speaker 21 (01:39:42):
They got a Michael Jackson movie. They got Devil Wears Prada.
They added a couple of other ones that I'm like, oh,
I haven't seen these in the movies. I'm going to
watch it on the plane.

Speaker 16 (01:39:51):
You're going to be asleep in two seconds. Scary is
the loudest plane snorer that I've ever heard.

Speaker 13 (01:39:57):
I cannot wait.

Speaker 3 (01:40:00):
Yeah, it's going to be quite the flight. They should
know better than to let us on together. So, you know,
speaking of flights, I know Gandhi was on a flight
not that long ago, and a guy sitting next to her,
a total stranger, was, and it's not unusual, totally terrified
of flying, right?

Speaker 13 (01:40:15):
Yeah, poor Brian. I felt bad for him.

Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
But you knew his name.

Speaker 16 (01:40:19):
Yeah, well, I got to know him really quickly because
he was asking me about work, and then I think
he just wanted to present to me that he was
a really bad flyer. He's like, oh, well, I do
this for work, and I fly twice a week and
I'm really scared to fly. And he was not kidding
because as soon as we took off, we hit the
tiniest little, it wasn't even turbulence, just like a quick bump.
This man was grabbing my shoulder, trying to hold my hand.

(01:40:42):
You could see how he was sweating.

Speaker 13 (01:40:45):
He had four vodkas. He has this little cow.

Speaker 16 (01:40:48):
I think it's a Chick-fil-A cow that he puts in
his hand and he was squeezing it to death. And
every time there was a littlest bump, he was asking
the poor flight.

Speaker 13 (01:40:55):
Attendants, what was that? What are you going to do
about that? I'm like, Brian, calm down, man.

Speaker 10 (01:40:59):
But I felt bad for him.

Speaker 13 (01:41:01):
I did feel bad for him. But I was like,
how did I get this?

Speaker 3 (01:41:04):
This is wild. I have to say, in my last
few flights I've taken, we've hit really, really bad turbulence.
I mean, bad. Stuff where you fly. If you're not
seat belted in, your head would hit the ceiling. It's
that bad. And I'm not exaggerating. And anyway, so we
had Abby, you know, because she's really scared to fly.
We had her check the turbulence map. What did she

(01:41:25):
find out? She said, apparently, this is okay.

Speaker 17 (01:41:28):
We've got a pocket of air that we can fly
through that's not turbulent.

Speaker 14 (01:41:32):
She doesn't love flying.

Speaker 13 (01:41:33):
Let me tell you, my guy Brian did the same thing.
We were supposed to have a smooth flight.

Speaker 14 (01:41:37):
Well, don't say that. Don't make Abby nervous.

Speaker 11 (01:41:41):
Sorry.

Speaker 13 (01:41:42):
I take it back.

Speaker 3 (01:41:43):
And sometimes if you tell the flight attendant, you know,
when you're getting on and they're sizing you up. If
you tell the flight attendant, hey, I'm very, very anxious
about flying today. Do you have any advice? They'll come
back and talk to you. It may help. It may
not help. I don't know.

Speaker 19 (01:41:56):
Oh, Nate, what chocolates are you bringing the flight attendants
today to rub up to them?

Speaker 3 (01:42:02):
You know, I found some of the... Are you rubbing
the chocolate on the flight attendants?

Speaker 1 (01:42:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
Well, you bribe them a little bit. They always treat
you a little bit better on the plane.

Speaker 13 (01:42:09):
What do you get?

Speaker 3 (01:42:10):
Attention. Attention.

Speaker 14 (01:42:13):
And he needs a lot of that.

Speaker 3 (01:42:14):
Did you learn that from Scary? Give him a little candy.
He gets an extra voice.

Speaker 19 (01:42:22):
He needs more attention than most, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
Everything you're going to do on the flight is free anyway, basically.
It doesn't hurt. It doesn't hurt.

Speaker 16 (01:42:33):
But the good thing, I know we've talked about it
so many times, but the good thing about traveling with Nate,
so we might have to switch your seat, is that
you need to be the last person so that you block.

Speaker 13 (01:42:41):
Everyone from running off because he becomes an air marshal.

Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
I'll put on my football pads. You are our air marshal.
All right. All right. Anyway, so a flight on the way.
So we get to travel. We get to have dinners together.
Here we go, the family together. People say they love
hearing us talk about our camaraderie. I don't know. But, yeah,
we camarade a lot. There's such a word. Oh, we're
going to be on a flight. We need some duct

(01:43:03):
tape and some zip ties.

Speaker 14 (01:43:07):
I know a guy.

Speaker 10 (01:43:09):
Apparently you're allowed to take it in your carry-on.

Speaker 3 (01:43:11):
You're allowed to take duct tape. I was reading that.

Speaker 13 (01:43:13):
Well, thank God.

Speaker 3 (01:43:14):
Because you know that story about the guy from Arizona
that had to be duct taped down because he was
a total fool.

Speaker 1 (01:43:19):
Do you want to interview him?

Speaker 14 (01:43:20):
Because I told you he is my husband's friend.

Speaker 19 (01:43:22):
So if you'd like to... Not the bad guy, the
good guy. Not the bad guy, the good guy.

Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
The taper. I don't want any of them. I mean,
we've seen so much about that story. And thank God
Sheldon's friend is a hero of one of the several
on that plane. But that guy, what an... I just don't,
I don't understand. Look, I've had so much to drink
where I get a little fuzzy. I can never see

(01:43:48):
myself calling people racially awful racial words. We're calling people,
you know, gay slurs or what this guy was calling it.
He was accusing the guy next to him of having
a small wiener. Did you see that?

Speaker 8 (01:44:04):
They said he snapped. They said when he first got
on the plane, he was nice. The guy that was
sitting next to him is an author. He's a book author.
He said that they were having a conversation, everything was fine,
and he just snapped. And when the flight attendant approached
him about calming down, that's when he started with the
racial bombs and just being a complete idiot, and they
couldn't stop him.

Speaker 3 (01:44:22):
He tried biting people. They had to tape his face
and everything. What are you doing? Obviously, I mean, we're
assuming here maybe a pill was taken. I don't know.

Speaker 14 (01:44:30):
This is when you say, I won't have what he's having.

Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
Exactly.

Speaker 10 (01:44:34):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:44:34):
I know, but they have video of him saying to
this guy, you must have the smallest D. God, what
are you doing?

Speaker 14 (01:44:43):
That's so crazy.

Speaker 16 (01:44:44):
See, I believe Nate probably does have duct tape and
zip ties with him, but I also think if it
came down to it.

Speaker 13 (01:44:50):
I'm not sure he'd be the guy up and at it.
I feel like he'd be like, Daniel Hill.

Speaker 3 (01:44:54):
I'll mix it up.

Speaker 14 (01:44:56):
I do not think you're winning in a fight over
Gandhi or myself.

Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
Probably not. But I'll be the first one fighting. You're
taking zip ties and some duct tape. Unfortunately, he called
Hertz and they're not renting out soundproof fans.

Speaker 17 (01:45:11):
Oh, shoot.

Speaker 13 (01:45:12):
There goes his vacation.

Speaker 1 (01:45:13):
Damn it.

Speaker 3 (01:45:14):
Oh, well, there you go. Okay, so back to this guy.
Did he ever calm down on the plane, on the flight?

Speaker 1 (01:45:20):
No, not at all.

Speaker 16 (01:45:21):
Not the entire time that we were flying, which then
made me not be relaxed the entire time.

Speaker 13 (01:45:26):
But I did feel bad for him.

Speaker 16 (01:45:29):
I talked to him, and as soon as we landed,
then all of a sudden he let go of the
little cow, and he let go of my shoulder, and
he took a deep breath and said, and I do
this again in four days.

Speaker 13 (01:45:37):
I'm like, Brian, you got to do something about this.

Speaker 3 (01:45:40):
The worst thing you could say is like, cut it out.
Come on.

Speaker 13 (01:45:43):
I didn't do that. I thought about it, but I
didn't do it.

Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
You're a big baby.

Speaker 1 (01:45:49):
Exactly.

Speaker 13 (01:45:49):
Calm down, Nancy. We're all on the same flight.

Speaker 1 (01:45:52):
You're freaking me out.

Speaker 3 (01:45:53):
We're all going to die together.

Speaker 10 (01:45:57):
Exactly.

Speaker 13 (01:45:59):
Oh, God.

Speaker 3 (01:46:00):
Anyway, so I'm ready for the weekend. We're going to
be site checking, getting ready for a little private island
action with our friends at Norwegian. Actually, we sent Froggy down, what,
two weeks ago to check it out. Yep. And how
was the island we're going to? It's their private island.
It's beautiful, Dave.

Speaker 8 (01:46:20):
We'll pull right up to the island, get off, walk on.
You've got a giant water park. It's got cliff jumps,
giant water slides, all kinds of amazing stuff. And then,
of course, the beaches, villas, pools, everything you could possibly
want on this private island out in the Atlantic, in
the Bahamas.

Speaker 3 (01:46:38):
Well, I hope we're getting paid overtime because this is
a work trip.

Speaker 17 (01:46:41):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
That's right. It is a work trip.

Speaker 13 (01:46:43):
24 hours a day.

Speaker 14 (01:46:44):
We are working this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:46:45):
You know what I'm saying? You're getting paid to spend
all night on.

Speaker 20 (01:46:53):
Say, this is us.

Speaker 3 (01:46:56):
Where's my banana hammock?

Speaker 10 (01:46:57):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
You want to see Big Daddy's boobies flopping around? Yo, DJ,
let's go. There you go. Bizarre ink. You know who's listening?
Lydia Malcolm checking in, loving listening to Bizarre Inc. I'm

(01:47:19):
going to get you. Hi, Lydia.

Speaker 4 (01:47:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:47:22):
If you have a song that makes you scat, please,
by all means, turn it.

Speaker 12 (01:47:27):
Up.

Speaker 3 (01:47:27):
Scatting is fun. Let's get into the three things we
need to know. Gandhi, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:47:32):
All right.

Speaker 16 (01:47:33):
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is responding to
newly released documents showing air quality in lower Manhattan in
the months after 9-11 was not safe. Giuliani's administration was
in charge at that time, and firefighter union heads are
And firefighter union heads in New York City Mayor Mamdani's
administration found this information and criticized past mayoral administrations for.

Speaker 13 (01:47:54):
Not disclosing air quality data.

Speaker 16 (01:47:56):
A spokesperson for Giuliani says the EPA declared the air safe,
but then later apologized, saying it did the best it
could with the knowledge available at the time. Federal investigators
have been conducting interviews with witnesses to the Alex Pretty
shooting in Minneapolis earlier this year. Attorneys say witness Winnie
Savageford gave a statement on Wednesday to the FBI, Homeland Security,

(01:48:16):
and Minnesota U.S.

Speaker 13 (01:48:17):
Attorney's Office. Savageford says she saw.

Speaker 16 (01:48:20):
immigration agents shoot and kill Pretty during Operation Metro Surge
back in January. A federal civil rights investigation looking into
the shooting was opened earlier this year. And finally, the
Atlantic is unusually quiet heading into the peak of hurricane
season with no tropical cyclones currently threatening the basin.

Speaker 13 (01:48:38):
People are happy about this one.

Speaker 16 (01:48:40):
The National Hurricane Center says there's also no significant tropical
development expected over the next week. That is notable because
September 10th is the climatological peak of the Atlantic hurricane season,
and it has been unusually warm this season. Forecasters say
it's far from over and conditions could change quickly, but
as of now, it is looking quiet.

Speaker 13 (01:49:00):
And those are your three things.

Speaker 3 (01:49:01):
Another thing they're talking about is El Nino going on
in the Pacific. They're saying because of that, it decreases
chances of an awful... or whatever activity here on the
East Coast. Is that right, Frog? You know all things hurricanes.

Speaker 8 (01:49:14):
Yeah, that's exactly it. El Nino has really played a
part in our season being very non-existent. However, on the
Hawaiian side, they've had some really bad hurricanes. They just
had one go through, the Hurricane Lola went through. So
it's been bad over there, but quiet in the Atlantic.

Speaker 16 (01:49:27):
And isn't El Nino supposed to bring us unusually high
precipitation in winter?

Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
Yes, but not as cold.

Speaker 13 (01:49:34):
A lot of snow this year?

Speaker 10 (01:49:36):
We'll see.

Speaker 3 (01:49:37):
Well, look at us.

Speaker 7 (01:49:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:49:39):
We're the Farmers' Albany. I'm sorry, was that funny?

Speaker 1 (01:49:44):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (01:49:48):
All right, show's done. Let's get out of here. Until
next time, say peace out, everybody. Peace out, everybody!
