veterans and their families. Elvis Dran in the Morning Show says,
thank you.

a little reminder, a soft reminder, there it is. It
is Veterans Day. Our'n Scary is gonna be in the
Veterans Day parady today, right, Scary.

Yes, along with my dad and his veteran friends.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Cannot wait. We did it last year and I love that.
The Warriors Project absolutely. Froggy, you have something going on
today too, right.
Speaker 7 (01:06):
I am.
Speaker 8 (01:06):
I will be at Knines for Warriors here in Jacksonville,
raising money for veterans and service dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Excellent, Well, it is Veterans Day. Lots to talk about,
lots to do well. Welcome today. Good morning, Danielle, Good morning, Hi, Gandhi. Hello,
Scary's here. As you heard, there's Froggy. You heard that
and waiting to see us your Nate, don't see your
selvistor in Scotty Bees and the Master Control facility. Good
morning to see a diamond as we love our diamonds.
He's taking your calls, watching your texts. How about some
(01:34):
fifty I would have said fitty, but they said white
guys shouldn't do that. You do what you want. I'm
definitely white. I was reminded last night. I'll tell you
the story seconds. Hey, welcome to Tuesday. Yeah, business night.
There you go. You're at the mall last night. They're
(01:55):
playing Christmas music at the mall already. I don't remember
hearing fifty iron p. They did play share. I had.
I had my share at the Short Hills Mall or
Short Hairs Mall as we call it.
Speaker 9 (02:07):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Anyway, what'd you guys do last night? How was your night,
dear Danielle.
Speaker 10 (02:11):
Oh what did I do?
Speaker 11 (02:12):
Like? Oh?
Speaker 12 (02:12):
I went.
Speaker 13 (02:13):
I went back to Garden State, Plausa last night. I
did some Christmas shopping last night. I bought wrapping paper
and tape and everything.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
So we're both at the mall. Yeah, all right, we
did them all night. What about you, Gandhi? How was
your night?
Speaker 10 (02:23):
It was great.
Speaker 9 (02:23):
I did nothing. I just went to the gym and
that was it.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
There you go. Hey, we finished Boots? Did you guys
see Boots?
Speaker 13 (02:30):
I did?
Speaker 9 (02:30):
What'd you think?
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I liked it? I thought it was really good. I
want to see more. I don't know if it's going
to come back, but it was interesting. It was nice. Hey,
I'll let's go talk to Brittany, our first caller of
the day. Brittany's dog woke her up extra early, so
she decided to hit the gym. So what's what's your
dog's name? Brittany?
Speaker 14 (02:47):
Hey, good morning. I have four. Actually, the first one
is Chloe, and then we have Millie, June and Frank
the Tank.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Oh, Frank the Tank. So which which dog was most
instrumental and waking you up and making you go to
the gym?
Speaker 14 (03:02):
Oh, that would be Frank the Tank.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Wow, Frank the Tank, I love that. So are you
happy they got you up early? Are you?
Speaker 15 (03:12):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Are you glad that you got your ass out of
bed and went and worked out?
Speaker 14 (03:17):
I am, especially since it was a little bit before six,
and I was like, you know what, I'm gonna give
it a shot. I try every morning and Lucky who knew,
cuts into the dog and I would act, there you go.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
You guys see, our dogs are always looking out for us. Yeah,
look at that, Gandhi worked out last night. You worked
out today? Scary? Are you working out today?
Speaker 15 (03:35):
No?
Speaker 6 (03:35):
But I worked out yesterday and I got three sessions
this week.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
I'm excited. All right, Right, Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna
get a I'm gonna work out in today too. Thanks
to Frank the Tank. He's motivating me. Well you are
the fast call. End of the day, Brittany. It's getting
cold here on the East Coast. I know, down in
Jacksonville it's in the thirties. It's in the thirties here
in New York City. What's it in Dayton, Ohio? Right now?
Speaker 10 (03:55):
Oh?
Speaker 14 (03:55):
I want to say it's in the high twenties.
Speaker 16 (03:57):
I know.
Speaker 14 (03:58):
We just had a bunch of snow last night. I
think we had three and a half inches that new
record I just read this morning.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
So yeah, I talk about this because I know our
friend's waking up in Miami or like, looking at the
speaker right now, I'm going, you jackasses, that's us. Well, look,
you are the first called the day. What do you
have for a friend, Brittany? And then cool and fund
Oh those three and a half inches will look great
on the elvis ran in the morning show. Hoodie. Hey,
(04:24):
thank you, my gosh, how many times have I heard
you say that.
Speaker 14 (04:28):
Anyway, I'll be nice and not ask you guys to
destroy it. I'll take it as.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
It'll destroy that thing. Oh no, now we do it
whether you like it or not. All right, well, Brittany,
you have a great day. You tell Franks the tank
we said hi, and thanks for listening.
Speaker 14 (04:41):
Wellree snausers, we love you as well.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
So, oh my god, don't get me started. Schnauzers. You knows.
Speaker 14 (04:49):
It all started with of course they are the best,
so we love that.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Of course they are. Hold on one second, there you go,
and maybe you could beat the first caller tomorrow. Plan
ahead and once again eight we'll put three and a
half inches on your hoodie. I don't know what that means.
It just sounded kind of funny. Let's get into the
three things we need to know, Gandhi, what's going on
all right?
Speaker 9 (05:08):
The Senate voted last night to end the record breaking
government shutdown and reopen federal agencies, passing a bipartisan measure
after eight Democrats joined Republicans to break the stalemate. The
final vote was sixty to forty, with all Republicans except
for Rand Paul of Kentucky supporting the bill. The legislation
now heads to the House, which could vote as soon
as Wednesday to approve the package and send it to
(05:29):
President Trump. The bill includes a minibus of three full
year appropriations measures, provides full funding for snap benefits through
next September, and keeps most of the government running through
January thirtieth. So we'll see how this works out. In
related news, the delays and cancelations at airports are rising
across the US. The number of flights have been cut
by the FAA since Friday, we know due to the
(05:50):
shutdown related staffing issues. Reductions increase by six percent today
and they should go up to ten percent by Friday.
If everything stays the same. Yeah, yesterday saw over nine
thousand delays nationwide with twenty four hundred cancelations. It's not
great if you're traveling right now, and officials are saying
that even when the shutdown ends, travel will still be
sticky for a while, so you may want to plan
(06:11):
accordingly for your holiday travel. And finally, YouTube is starting
to issue those twenty dollars credits they promise to YouTube
TV customers who still don't have access to Disney owned channels.
The two companies have been unable thus far to reach
a deal that would continue to let YouTube TV customers
see channels like ESPN, ABC and others. Both sides have
(06:31):
been in talks since the channels were pulled October thirtieth.
The credits start going out today, no deal has been
reached just yet. And those are your three things?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Are you ready for your Tuesday? Yes, all right, we'll
take it.
Speaker 15 (06:45):
I'll tell you what that folks, that's plenty nice.
Speaker 13 (06:47):
Yeah, yeah, that's the time of the day now, mister
ran in the morning.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
So you know, I love the holidays and I want
to feel jolly all season long. But when achs and
paint sneak in it's hard. Thankfully a leaf can help.
With just one pill, a lead provides up to twelve
hours of body pain relief, so you can keep moving
forward us. This directed.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
You know, it seems like every day we see more
and more stories in the news about, you know, the
tariffs and a lot of these tariffs. They'll say, well,
you know, we're gonna put a tariff on this, that,
and this from this country over here, and you're like, well,
you're thinking, man, okay, well you know selfishly that particular
tariff doesn't really affect me. But one was in the
news yesterday. Did you see the one that's gonna really
(07:39):
screw us to bits? No?
Speaker 13 (07:41):
What was it.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Gone? Do you saw it?
Speaker 7 (07:44):
Right?
Speaker 9 (07:45):
Which one?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
The Italy tariff? One hundred and seven percent tariff on Pastah.
Speaker 17 (07:51):
That's.
Speaker 10 (07:53):
Now it's gone too far.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Now I got a problem. I got beef. I'm thinking,
oh my god, by imported pasta from Italy one hundred
and seven percent.
Speaker 13 (08:03):
That's a lot, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
But considering you know, pasta is relatively inexpensive already. Right,
It's just the thought, the thought that something is wonderful
and perfect as pasta is gonna have a teriff on it.
Speaker 13 (08:18):
So now wait a minute, dirty do the pastas that
are kind of made here get more excited now because
they're like, we don't have a teriff, everyone's gonna buy us.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
I get I don't know. I haven't talked to the
pasta people.
Speaker 9 (08:28):
Have you guys been in any stores where people have
gone through with post its and put on what it's
price without tariff? And what the price with Sarah?
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Now, no, no, where'd you see that dawning?
Speaker 9 (08:37):
I saw it at the Walgreens near me. I saw
it at the Target near me. I don't know if
it's the same person doing it, but it was like
a bicycle that's ninety eight dollars now that was fifty
eight dollars previously.
Speaker 15 (08:48):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (08:48):
I'm like, oh my god, Now, who's to say that
this person with the post it is correct? But they
went through and just tagged a bunch of stuff.
Speaker 13 (08:53):
That's amazzy.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
But it's kind of funny to me that someone's you know,
where you're going today, I've got to go down to
the I'm gonna the Walgreens. I gotta remind people how
much as brand is now so you can get the
tariff things great, and they said they take the time
to put sticky things.
Speaker 9 (09:06):
All over this before tariffs.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Well, I'll be into ee today, but I'm gonna buy
up some as much posta as possible. It doesn't go bad,
does it? No dry pasta may I don't know why
I'm making such a big deal. Is it is very inexpensive.
It's positive, but it's still the thought that they're threatening
my pasta stash. This is not good anyway. This roll
(09:29):
into the horsecopes producer sam Hi, who do you wish
to do them?
Speaker 12 (09:33):
I wish to do them with Scotti Bee because he
has to wish someone a very happy birthday.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I do. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 18 (09:38):
Well, if it's your birthday today, you share it with
Leonardo DiCaprio, Demi Moore, Stanley Tucci and my daughter Ashley
is eighteen.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Wow, my god, she's not eighteen, she's only seven. Yeah,
she's eighteen. It's is nuts anyway.
Speaker 18 (09:54):

and those are your Tuesday morning horoscopes.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I'm assuming coffee affects us all differently. Let me ask
you this in the morning, when you have your first
couple of SIPs, do you actually feel that surge when
it hits Yeah? Yeah, Big Daddy just got his serge.
Get out of the way, Get out the way, get
out the way. It's weird. I mean it is like
a button has been pushed. Seriously, I'm ready. I'm ready
(11:29):
to fly into outer space anyway. Thank you coffee, Thank
you de LONGI. You're making me feel good. What are
you coming up in your first report?
Speaker 13 (11:36):
Danielle ariana grande ethan Slater? What's the deal there? And
also there's something going up for auction that I want
so badly.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
You and Happy Veterans Day. Nick from Altuona checking in
USAF veteran checking in Happy Veterans Day. Don't forget scary.
You have a parade today. What time do you have
to be in the parade? This starts at twelve thirty
and marches right up Fifth Avenue. Are you gonna march
or sit in the back of a convertible? Last year
I marched this year. I'm going to be on the float.
Oh you are all right, don't fall off, you guys.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Justin Bieber here, h missus, Mariah Carey. My name is
Alex Horns. Elvis Durant in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
All right, talking about Veterans Day. Tunnel to Towers Foundation
is all over it. You know, we give you stories
about heroes all the time, almost every day thanks to
Tunnel to Towers. You know what they've done for Veterans Day.
They're delivering a twenty five mortgage free homes to gold
Star families. Wow, twenty five nice. Don't believe me. I've
(12:34):
got the list of all of these incredible veterans and
service people right here. Their families are getting mortgage free
houses in honor of Veterans Day. That's just one of
the many things Tunnel to Towers does. I mean, they
are always honoring our heroes, the heroes that save us
around the world and save us in our own communities,
taking care of loved ones with service related illnesses, always
(13:00):
taking care of veterans, and especially here on Veterans Day.
What a great day to honor veterans by helping out
Tunnel to Towers. It's simple to do you can donate
eleven dollars a month to ttwot dot org. Please do that,
go do it now, eleven dollars a month to t
the number two T dot org.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Well, that was a fascinating conversation and then of course
the song ended. We had to come back and can
we talk about what you were just talking about? Gandhi
and Froggy.
Speaker 9 (13:29):
Absolutely. So there's a new documentary on Netflix called In
Waves and War, and Brandon, who is a military veteran,
told me, hey, you should watch this. It might help
you get a little insight into me a little bit.
So I said, okay. And it's about a bunch of
guys who were part of the Navy Seals and when
they came back from deployment. They were deployed for a
(13:49):
long time, they were in for a while. They all
had huge issues PTSD, depression, anxiety, cheating on wives, you know,
just very suicidal at points. They couldn't get their lives
back on track no matter what they did. They went
to therapy, they tried everything, and then they heard about
something called I Begain treatment, which is essentially somebody walking
you through a trip a psychedelic trip. And they went
(14:13):
and they tried it, and they said it has changed
their lives in ways that nothing else ever could.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Wow in that wild and you hear more and more
stories about how those procedures actually do impact people's minds
and their outlook on life. But there's so many people
who are just still afraid of it.
Speaker 15 (14:30):
Right.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
But if you go to someone who is qualified, how
they qualify them, I'm not quite sure, but they are
qualified to protect you and get you through this. It
can and does rewire your brain to the point where
you're a changed person.
Speaker 9 (14:43):
Yeah. I mean, these guys see this or up and
down that they had tried every single thing they possibly
could and it was just there at the end of
the rope. And one of them, his wife had tried
to convince them to do it for a year, if
not longer, and he kept saying, you're crazy. I don't
want to do this. This isn't going to help me.
How's that going to help me? And they went and
they were open to it, and I mean it was
actually very uplifting. It was really dark to begin with,
(15:04):
and that was very uplifting at the end, like there
is hope. And then Froggy was saying, he knows somebody
who he thinks did this.
Speaker 8 (15:09):
There is there's somebody that lives on my block. And
he just went He went to somewhere in Peru, I believe,
and they were with a shaman and he said, you
go out in the middle of nowhere in the rainforest
and you drink these things, and he said that they
protect you while you go through it. It was two
or three days worth, and they were long, long periods.
But I can tell you I've known this guy for
(15:29):
a long time. I've known him long before and I've
now known him after. He's a completely different person.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Wow.
Speaker 8 (15:35):
He's so kind and so wonderful, and now I love
just talking to him about his experiences now. But it
completely changed his life within himself, with his friends, and
most of all with his wife and his daughters. It
is incredible the difference in his mouth. Well, look at
these two stories. One they had to go to Mexico,
yours he had to go to Peru. Okay, So obviously
(15:55):
it's the regulation in the United States is not hip
to this quite so we should work toward that.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
If it is work, he's working on that, that's what
he's doing.
Speaker 8 (16:04):
Now he's trying to work with congressman and senators and
trying to get improved here in the States.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
So there are places that you don't have to travel
so far. Is he a veteran as well? He is
a veteran, Okay, so look at this. The credibility of
veterans is standing behind this, you know. So it's like, okay,
put that into the facts as well, you know. But
there are all sorts of different treatments that are so
so uniquely bold and fresh, including there's ketemine treatments you
(16:29):
can get here. I have a friend who is doing
keteming treatments. He says it is changing his outlook on life.
Speaker 15 (16:34):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
And it's all it's all protected, it's all, you know,
with the guidance of a physician with you in the
room making sure you're okay. And I love that. So
it's called in Waves and War on Netflix, in Waves
and War. I want to go see that. Excellent. Tell Brandon,
thank you for us suggesting that I will. Scott online
nineteen a US Army vet checking in have you veterans day, Scott,
(16:56):
Thank you for your service, sir.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
Thank you, sir. Main thing I want to say to
not only our current military we have now, but our
past and current vest that we have as like I say,
thank you for their service and their families sacrifice for
us being able to get out there and defend our
nation to the best of our abilities.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
I love that.
Speaker 7 (17:20):
I absolutely, I myself come from a long line of veterans.
Only my dad, my grandfather, my great grandfather have all
been in the military. We were in the Army. My
brother is the only one that changed. He went he
went to the Marines. It doesn't matter because we're all.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
All I knowing.
Speaker 7 (17:38):
Our country no matter what service branch we go into.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
But you got to admit, was that sort of a
scandal A little families like, oh my god, what's going
on with him? That's cool though, I love that he
wanted to be a little different. I love that though.
That's part of it. Scott, thank you so much for
checking in, and we do appreciate you very much, and
please give your family ourreciation as well.
Speaker 7 (18:00):
Okay, oh sure, well, thank you guys so much for
all you do. I've been a loyal listener for I
think the past fifteen years.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Wo wow, oh my god. They still let us come
in and do this every day. What did we do
to deserve this? Thank you Scottish to pleasure meeting. You
have a great day today, Happy Veterans Day.
Speaker 7 (18:16):
Thank you too.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Thank you God, bless God, bless you.
Speaker 7 (18:19):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I love a call like that. Well, and that's funny.
Everyone's in the army except for one. We don't talk
to him anymore. That's funny. I love that. Let's get
into your report, Danielle. What do you have on your list?
Speaker 13 (18:32):
All right? Well, Michael Jackson just made history again by
becoming the first artist to rank in the top ten
of the Billboard Hot one hundred in six distinct decades
the seventies, eighties, nineties, two thousands, tens, and now twenties.
And it is thanks to Thriller, which jumped from thirty
two to ten right around Halloween. The song enjoyed nine
(18:53):
million radio plays and sold three thousand units. So congratulations
to Michael Jackson. Hopefully he's looking down and enjoying it,
do you know what I mean? So the Jonas Brothers,
they had their big premiere for the Jonas Brothers movie,
which you know is coming out on Friday on Disney Plus.
It was at the New York City Center, which is like, right,
next door to us. It was last night, very cool,
(19:13):
very Jonas Christmas, and they are now going to be
kicking off New Year's Eve at a really cool New
Year's Eve party. It's a special caled Welcome to twenty
twenty six. It will air on Samsung TV and it's
at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
All right, New Year's Evening. It's a hard Rock Hotel
and casino.
Speaker 13 (19:30):
Yeah, that's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Joe Rosa, let it bro let it bro let it
grow exactly.
Speaker 13 (19:34):
I already have it on my schedule of Friday when
the movie airs. I'm like, don't call my house. That's
what I'll be doing. Last night in London, Ariana Grande
kept her distance from Ethan Slater at the Wicked for
Good premiere and everybody's like, what is going on there?
Because they are still like liking each other's Instagram posts
and stuff like that. But he was all the way
(19:55):
on the other side of the photo.
Speaker 10 (19:56):
But I mean, she's the star.
Speaker 13 (19:58):
Cynthia Rivo's the star, so it kind of made sense
that they were in the middle. But anyway, people want
to know what's going on there? Are they together? Aren't
they together. What's happening?
Speaker 9 (20:07):
So I can't you break up and still not hate
each other.
Speaker 10 (20:09):
I would follow each.
Speaker 13 (20:10):
Other, you know, I think you probably can, but it's
not you know, people don't think so. And it's a
celebrity world. It's so different in the celebrity world, you know,
I know.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
But it's so interesting how people pay attention. They pay
attention to place placement in photographs, they pay attention to
who's dropping who on social media. Well, you know, I've
heard there's this there's this community that listens to our
show and they all kind of have this this thing
online where they talk about or behind the scenes or something.
I don't know. So I had to take yesterday off.
I was under the weather yesterday. Alex said they were
(20:39):
buzzing like a beehive. Oh really, where's Elvis. Elvis isn't there.
I can tell what's he up to. Something's going on,
something's going down. But people notice things and little things.
People are like the little little detectives running around there.
Oh yeah, of course, come on, I'm back, by the way,
this is live, Yes, this is life.
Speaker 10 (20:57):
Beyonce or is it?
Speaker 13 (20:59):
Beyonce and jay Z quietly attended. Chris Jenner's seventieth birthday
party on Saturday. I don't know if you saw the
pictures of this. It was a double O seventh theme,
and of course they got through the paparazzi thanks to
some special parking at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's one
hundred and seventy five million dollar Beverly Hills mansion. They
reportedly just drove straight into the estate and then they
(21:19):
exited unseen. So yeah, Oprah was there, Mariah Carey, Prince, Harry,
Megan Markle.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
I mean they said this party was out of control.
Speaker 13 (21:27):
It was insane.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
I kid tell, these came and shut him down.
Speaker 13 (21:30):
No, I did not hear that far.
Speaker 15 (21:31):
No they did.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
They said that it was too loud. The police had
really really I didn't turn it out. Yeah, but I
mean all this big stars were there.
Speaker 13 (21:37):
Yeah, it's crazy. The pictures were not.
Speaker 9 (21:39):
Chris jenneral looks like she's twenty five because.
Speaker 13 (21:41):
She had that great plastic surgeon.
Speaker 10 (21:43):
She talked five ball.
Speaker 13 (21:44):
Whoever did that? My gosh wicked witch that I want
this elvis. It's probably gonna be millions of dollars, but
I would like to own that. You need Okay, the
Wicked Witch of the West original hat from The Wizard
of Oz is going up for sale on December ninth
from Heritage Auction. It's the same house that sold the
Ruby Slippers for twenty eight million dollars. So this is
(22:05):
a black wool piece of movie history worn by Margaret
Hamilton in the nineteen thirty nine classic. Lord knows what
it's gonna go for, but I'd be so cool to
own that. My gosh, that would be amazing. So anyway,
that's happening Season four Traders January eighth. If you are
a Traders fan, so the Trader's coming back, yep.
Speaker 10 (22:23):
Dancing with the Stars.
Speaker 13 (22:24):
Tom Burds you're on, is back tonight for the first
time since he was fired. I won if he's gonna
get on and say something about that, because it's such
a Tom versionon thing to do. We like, you know, hey,
you guys caned me, but I'm book or something. Anyway,
it's the twentieth anniversary tonight. You've got Coast to Coast Tuesday,
the seventy six ers and the Celtics and also the
Kings and the Nuggets, the Golden Girls.
Speaker 10 (22:45):
This is for you, Nate.
Speaker 13 (22:46):
It's a twenty twenty special forty years of laughter and friendship.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Oh my god, that's right for years.
Speaker 13 (22:52):
Yeah, and all your ncis on tonight and that's my
Dan Yelle.
Speaker 5 (22:55):

Speaker 6 (23:00):

going to be having.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
I'm gonna invite Brody. No, Brody is he on the
line with us right now?
Speaker 15 (23:08):

Speaker 6 (23:10):

mentioned other than me, Josh?
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Listen to the Brooklyn Boys podcast on the iHeartRadio apps,
Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Hey, you know what, I think we're very lucky as
a as a whole because you go out to a restaurant,
you just trust that they're keeping everything clean kitchen, and
you're fine, and so what ninety nine point nine percent
of the time to go out to eat. We're fine. Yeah,
so congratulations to all of our our restaurants are following
health codes.
Speaker 13 (24:13):
Would we know that scared?
Speaker 2 (24:15):
It was not the case for me at the mall.
We had lunch at a place. I'm not going to
mention the name of the place, but I was in
the bathroom at the mall. That was me. By the way,
if you're wondering who that was in the mens room
at sure Hills Mall, that was me. It was something
was going on in that food. I don't know what anyway,
But you have a friend Gandhi who got really, really sick.
I mean it almost maybe died, right, Are you exaggerating?
(24:37):
Is this true?
Speaker 15 (24:37):
No?
Speaker 9 (24:37):
He said that was it. He was sure that he
was going out. He didn't know what to do.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
What happened?
Speaker 9 (24:44):
He ate And I didn't even know that this was
a thing. He made himself kidney beans, and apparently you're
supposed to do some things to kidney beans before you
eat them and cook them that if you don't you
can die. Why I didn't believe it either.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
I make kidney beans all the time. I've never heard
of this ever.
Speaker 9 (25:01):
Can no, not out of a can out of a can.
You should be fine. If you get dryk kidney beans,
You're supposed to soak them like hours to get the
lift and the p h as out of it. He
did not do that, so he just cooked them, ate them,
and he said he became violently ill. Like he said,
he sitting there projectile vomit on the wall. He said,
it was, oh my god, off most all.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I never ever heard of that. But I don't. Can
you eat kidney beans if they hadn't been so gravel?
I don't think that before, But I think, don't you
have to? You have to soak them there. I don't know.
I've never done it that way, so I don't know
what Scott All I'm saying is I eat them out
of the can like a hobo, which I can't. Oh, okay, sorry,
(25:43):
like a hobo. Are you making fun of hobo's No?
Speaker 8 (25:46):
No, no, no, we're number one with hobo Scotty.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
THEO community is up in arms. Sorry, but I didn't.
I've always known that you you have to soak them.
I didn't know that you could die, go to the
hospital anything.
Speaker 9 (26:00):
Yes, it was so bad. Apparently you can get you
have to get your stomach pumped from having this. If
it's bad enough, yeah, he said it was the worst.
He's like, I felt my life leaving my body. It
was so bad. Every he said, everything ran through his brain.
I just think it's crazy. I'd never heard. Apparently you're
supposed to soak them and then you get rid of
that water and you can boil them again. But you
can also just boil them and they'll be soft, but
you're gonna die.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Apparently you're beans people, people, What are you doing today, guys?
Speaker 13 (26:26):
Soak your beans, so cure beans.
Speaker 9 (26:29):
I had no idea it was possible.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Here you go. Let's see what else did we learn
at them all yesterday? Oh, we took our photo with Santa.
Santa was cool, very nice. He was nice. And our
friend Rinita, she told the photographer, can you She looked
at the picture and said, can you make us look
less white? And I looked up. The dude's a black guy.
He looked at us like, that's funny, lady, can you
(26:55):
make us look less white? I mean, do you have
to wear different clothes?
Speaker 12 (27:01):
What?
Speaker 2 (27:02):
I don't know. Anyway, we had our photo taking with Santa.
The mall was all Christmas stuff. It was great. It
was nice And you were at the mall too, right, Danielle.
Speaker 13 (27:10):
Yeah, so I went. I actually hosted at Garden State
Plaza on Saturday. Yeah, on Saturday the lighting of their
Big Santa, which was amazing. They actually partnered with me
and invited me to do this. There was maybe fourteen
thousand people there lighting for the lighting, we had a
drone show and Santa and I got to hang out
(27:30):
in the conference room before he came out, and it
was so cool to kind of just catch up with
Santa from the North Pole and see what he's been
doing on the off season.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
It was very great.
Speaker 13 (27:40):
But the mall looks so beautiful right now, and if
you want to get into the holiday spirit, go to
the mall. It's just so it's wonderful.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, I agree, I'm going back. I may go. I
may go every week. And Garrett has asked me, did
you valley your car at a Short Hills ball? I
did not. We parked in a real garage. Thank you.
We parted ourselves Veterans' Day. We have a very special
Veterans game coming up with Gandhi. But hold on a
second text coming in Elvis. This may be a shot
(28:06):
in the dark. But I want to know if you
can give my dad, Victor Senior, a happy Veterans Day.
He left at the age of eighteen to join the
Air Force, served in Vietnam from sixty nine to seventy
and was an MP for the Apollo eleven mission. Wow.
When he came back, no one from his family was
there to greet him home. What he did bring back
with him was agent orange, which he still suffers from
(28:29):
today at seventy five years old. The years following he
worked on the railroad and other odd jobs. He met
my mom prior to leaving for basic training and told
her he was going to marry her once he got back.
Fifty three years later, three children, they are still together.
To me, he's my hero. Wow. Thank you so much
for that. I love that text. It is Veterans Day.
Scary's going to be in the big parade today. So
(28:49):
if you're at the New York City Parade, look for Scary.
He'll be on the float. Don't fall off Wounded Warriors?
What wounded boys? How you talk the Wounded Warriors Project float.
I'll see you there And Froggy has canines for warriors
as well. You have an event going on today.
Speaker 8 (29:05):
Yeah, they've got their big Veterans Day telephon going on,
so we're gonna be broadcasting live from there all day
long doing their telephone raising money to us saved lives
at both ends of the leash, both service animals and veterans.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
I love that, both ends of the leash. That's cool.
All right, tell us about this game, Gandhi.
Speaker 9 (29:20):
All right, there are a lot of celebrities that are
veterans as well. So I figured we'll just play you
a piece of sound and you name that celebrity veteran.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah. I looked at the at this list. I mean,
I didn't know half these people were veterans. This is cool.
All right, call Diamond now, let's see if you can
get this right. Eight hundred two four to two zero
one hundred.
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Em now mis teran in the Morning show. Help this
storm in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yeah, I heard his Veterans Day and we're celebrating veterans,
and so Gandhi decided to do one of her sound games.
Yeah right. She gave us a list of some celebrities
who served in the military. I had no idea most
of these people had been in the military. Well, so
we'll learn together. We were gonna do that right here,
but we're having some sort of technical touchdown, testical difficulty
(30:08):
and crazy. These computers aren't talking to one another. That's
our problem. We're not communicating in this world of ours.
Maybe get Miranda, Yes, get Miranda online one, let's get
around here and just tell her to hang on. Hey Miranda, well,
good morning, Happy Veterans Day. And you know, just like
most major airports around the country, we're experiencing delays today. Yeah,
(30:33):
I know it's gonna be up. It's by the way.
I don't know if you've heard, if you have any
friends who are traveling through air today, it's going to
be a crap show today. They're saying that so many delays,
a lot of a lot of flights canceled. And did
you know that even even the celebrities but private planes
are now happy to lose their flights our Can you imagine?
(30:58):
All right, Miranda, hold on, we're working this out. Just
don't go away. Okay, do you have a second?
Speaker 13 (31:03):
Of course, hold on, we still can't find it.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
I don't know why we're gonna find it. Also, you know,
Froggy is a very special Veterans Day food news edition
coming up right.
Speaker 8 (31:14):
I do lots and lots and lots of free food
for our veterans today as they should get.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
And we'll tell you all the places you can go to.
Speaker 8 (31:22):
The normal spots like Texas Roadhouse, gotcha, a lot of
barbecue joints doing all that, but we'll take all the
places well.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
The reason I want to bring it up we got
a text. If you guys have time, could you make
an announcement Cracker Barrel specifically this commuter, specifically the Cracker
Barrel in Temple, Texas, We're off for your free meal
for Veterans Day, in honor of them. It's the Sunrise Special.
Two pancakes, eggs or bacon or sausage. Thank you, Oh excellent,
Thank you. Cracker Barrel checking it from Temple. We love that.
(31:49):
Do we have our game? We do a Frene and
now I'm Miranda. Thank god you held the lie. It's
now time to celebrate some of our favorite celebrities who
are veterans. I love this. I'd love that you got
this figured out. Gandhi, what happened? What the computer's messed up?
Speaker 9 (32:05):
I don't know. I think it's a solar flare. Yeah,
because on my computer, it shows one thing and on
scars it showed another. So it just rebuilt it.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
We have a work around. Okay, here's what we'll do.
We got to get into that solar flare thing in
a too. It's gonna screw the whole world up today
to the hell today. All right, Miranda from Old Bridge.
You come from a military family.
Speaker 14 (32:22):
Yes, I do, a very large military family. So thank
you to all that serve and have served.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Absolutely couldn't say it better myself. So these are famous
veterans that Gandhi came up with in this game of sound.
Let's see how well you can do. I hope you
know all of them, and you may be surprised by
some of these people, probably veterans. All right, here we go.
Here is veteran number one. Who's this?
Speaker 15 (32:47):
You had a huge giant python and you dropped around
my body and the whole thing. That is the hell
that for half an hour?
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Who's that?
Speaker 14 (32:57):
Oh? I hear it one more time?
Speaker 15 (33:01):
Absolutely, you had a huge giant python and he dropped
around my body and the whole thing, and I held
it the for half an hour.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Who's that?
Speaker 19 (33:14):
Oh my god?
Speaker 14 (33:15):
I know the way.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
You go, right, I know I know he also served
as governor of a big state, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
Yeah, oh my.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
God, I cannot believe I missed that.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
I know. It's okay, it's okay. Where he served, where.
Speaker 9 (33:39):
He served in his I believe it was. He's from Austria, right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Yeah, okay, all right. Let's see if you get this
next guy. This guy was a veteran as well. I
can't believe you're a professional golfer. I think you should
be working at the snack bar.
Speaker 15 (33:51):
There is no way that you could have been as
bad as hockey as you are at golf.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Oh god, that guy.
Speaker 14 (34:02):
Bring her under pressure. I feel like I'm just as
bad as he is.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
All well, here's the thing. You know, that was a
film that wasn't a film, Maretta. He was talking about golf,
but he actually is very famous for doing something else
on television. H I famous, right now, yeah, my famous.
But this is good. We're all learning together. I like this.
Bob Barker, the host of Prices right river him?
Speaker 7 (34:28):
Oh yes, of course, he was a veteran.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Okay, good, okay, Let's see if I didn't know this
woman was a veteran as well. Do you know who
this is if I'd had the money, I could have
been living in a swinging condo instead of with I
better not say anything till I've had my coffee. A
slut and a moron? Who is that?
Speaker 18 (34:51):
Oh?
Speaker 14 (34:51):
That's isn't it? The mother from ra Ramano?
Speaker 10 (35:00):
No?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
No, no, that was that was b Arthur from Golden Girls.
Speaker 9 (35:04):
Dorothy was in the Marie Dorothy.
Speaker 14 (35:06):
That's looks like she could.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Wow. I don't want an explanation out of that. That's cool,
all right, but see we're learning, all right, here we go.
Here is uh celebrity veteran number four? Who's this?
Speaker 7 (35:24):
Only so much you can do in terms of trying
to change their view of something, and a lot of
people do.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Hello, mister Bond, Oh he played Bond? I guess who's that?
Sean Connery?
Speaker 14 (35:37):
Yes, oh my god, I got one right out?
Speaker 2 (35:42):
You got one? Absolutely all right. I'm gonna give you
one more. Now. This could be kind of tricky, but
if you keep up, if you keep up with pop culture,
you'll get it.
Speaker 11 (35:52):
I do.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
There's several in this in this right, several people in
this one file, Uh, celebrities who served in the military.
Who is this? Who's that?
Speaker 3 (36:14):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
I know that you do. Yeah, we played that song
a lot.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
I know you do.
Speaker 14 (36:21):
I listened to Oh God for thirty years.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
I know. But you got che Conter. You feel good
about that?
Speaker 15 (36:30):
That was?
Speaker 11 (36:30):
That was?
Speaker 14 (36:31):
Oh my god? Can I hear it one more time?
Speaker 7 (36:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:34):
I don't know if you're gonna get it here? Okay,
who's that?
Speaker 20 (36:46):
I'm vunerable.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
That that is the world famous group b t S.
Explain to them, explained to why the absolutely they're celebrities.
Speaker 14 (36:59):
And there from their young Yeah.
Speaker 9 (37:03):
Yeah, so right in the middle of their super fame,
they had to take a break because they needed to
go on hiatus and enlist. One by one, all the
guys enlisted, and that's what they do.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
They did. You got Sean Connery. But but other good
things are going right for Miranda. Number one, you're from
a huge military family. You understand the importance of veterans state.
And number two, you've been listening to us for thirty years,
so we've got to take care of Miranda. Oh well,
thank you. Don't be a jackass, Nate, you'd be nice.
Speaker 14 (37:32):
Yes, I'm tired of your.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
Come on, come on, she's ferocious. We're gonna say to
the office. Duran in the morning show. Hoodie, how about
the good job?
Speaker 5 (37:56):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Give me a lot of sass there. I like, Miranda,
I'm going with this.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
You gotta do.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
You're awesome. Thank you, Miranda. Thanks for taking charge.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
You got so much.
Speaker 14 (38:10):
You guys are so awful.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Even Nate. Even Nate, You're like, Okay, hold on one second, Nate,
she got your mother short hairs.
Speaker 15 (38:19):
All right?
Speaker 2 (38:20):
You know what, since they are officially veterans, it's there
you go, bts. I will say this, it is a
jingle ball season, and there's reasons to celebrate. We're celebrating
each other, and you know, we're having a nice holiday.
We're going to be doing these big, massive concerts in
New York, in Philadelphia, in Miami. We're going to all
(38:42):
three of those. I can't wait. Have you done any
shopping for stuff you're gonna wear during the holiday trying?
Speaker 9 (38:50):
Yeah, Danielle and I usually have to coordinate, but we
need to figure out what you're wearing first and then
we work around it.
Speaker 13 (38:57):
I bought something and then I was like, tell me,
this is a backup plan. Let me put that to
the side.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Yeah, you know, and then my husband Alex, I'm like,
what do you want to wear for the holiday parties
this year? Well, no, no, whatever we're usually wear. Okay,
come on, you got to put something on them. It
has red in it. You need to come to red
and green or something nice.
Speaker 13 (39:17):
Smoking jacket, gold sparkly yeah, gold sparkles going.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Come on, you gotta be festive, you gotta be festive.
Speaker 13 (39:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Speaking of veterans to day, our friends from Canines for
Warriors will be with us in our show on our
show tomorrow. But actually Froggy is out with Canine for
Warriors today in Jacksonville. Is this a big event people
are invited to?
Speaker 8 (39:37):
It's actually it's just a telethon. We're doing a telethon
for them where you call in and you donate and
hear their story about what they do and how many
veterans they save and how it works. It costs twenty
five thousand dollars from getting a dog, training it to
be a service animal, and then pairing it with the
proper veteran so that they match. You know, sometimes they
get they train a dog and get a veteran and
there's not a match. So that's a whole process in
(39:59):
itself too. But the way works and to see these
veterans thrive once they get these animals. It really is incredible.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
What they do. And so that's what we'll be doing today.
We love them, and you know, we've met several several
of the veterans, and we've met several of the dogs.
We actually had some of these dogs. What's that you
have a dog to name?
Speaker 8 (40:17):
Because you have two dogs from Canines for Warriors that
you have purchased, and we have to name them. So
they will be in tomorrow and you're gonna need a
name for a service animal.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Well, if we have two, we have to name two them. Yeah, two.
Speaker 8 (40:31):
I think we're naming one tomorrow, or maybe we name
them both. If you have two names, we have to
come up with names. Yeah, all right, welcome. I totally forgot,
you know me, I always put these things off. We're
gonna do it, I promise. Yeah, we're gonna We're gonna
name some dogs. But we we really truly love Canines
for Warriors and not only the stories about these dogs
that they are saving, but also how these dogs are
(40:51):
saving people's lives and they really do make a difference
in these veterans' lives.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
What's the line from Leash to leash from saving lives
both ends of the leash. That's it. I love that,
that's what they're doing. I know, I love it. Hey,
we have a phone tap on the way. Daniel's reporter
is on the way where you have coming up.
Speaker 13 (41:09):
Danielle, We're gonna talk about celebrities that nobody hates. That's
a good one. Hey. And also, two characters from Stranger
Things almost didn't make it all the way through to
the final season.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
Oh okay, thanks for the warning. Also, I'm going to
see Frankenstein the movie. Yeah, Nate, I need to see it.
No one's seen it yet started it. I didn't see it.
Are you watching it?
Speaker 13 (41:33):
Like Nate does a ten seconds out of time ten
minutes at a time.
Speaker 9 (41:36):
I'll watch the whole thing.
Speaker 13 (41:37):
I just it was.
Speaker 9 (41:37):
It was scary in the beginning, so I was like, oh,
I need to get in.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
The right Yeah, you have to be in the movie.
All right. We watched Boots. That's done. Now we're going
from Boots to Frankenstein. We're all over the charts, all right.
Three things we need to know, Gandhi, what's going on?
Speaker 13 (41:50):
All right?
Speaker 9 (41:50):
At least eighteen people are injured at Dullest International Airport
after a mobile lounge also known as a people mover,
struck a doc The Metropolitan Washington Airport says the lounge
was transporting passengers when it struck the dock at an angle.
Authorities initially said just eight people had been taken to
the hospital, later raising that number to eighteen. The injuries
are considered non life threatening. Thank goodness, it looks like
(42:14):
Canada is losing its measles elimination status, with the US
at risk as well. The Pan American Health Organization took
action against Canada on Monday after the country failed to
curb a measles outbreak for twelve consecutive months. There is
concern the US could follow in January if an ongoing
outbreak is not curbed as well. Measles was declared eliminated
(42:34):
from Canada in nineteen ninety eight. The US followed suit
two years later. And now we know it has made
a resurgence. And finally, Elvis, you were talking about your
coffee earlier and how it.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
Hits immediately love it.
Speaker 9 (42:46):
Well, there's some good news, but it is causing a
little controversy in the medical world. A new study suggests
that coffee could help protect against an irregular heartbeat. More
than ten million Americans live with a heart disorder known
as a FIB that could lead to heart failure and
blood clots. Research results of a four year clinical trial
presented at the American Heart Association Conference show that drinking
just one cup of coffee per day appeared to have
(43:07):
a positive and protective effect on aphib recurrence. But a
lot of doctors say, no, caffeine actually is not great
for your heart rhythm.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
So what are supposed to do here? I don't know.
Speaker 9 (43:18):
Listen to the one you like the most. Knew that
and coming up, Froggy is going to do a special
food news Tuesday just for our veterans. And those are
they Wake me up the Morning Show on.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show, don't answer the phone,
Elvis Duran, the Elvis Duran's phones happened.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
Take it away, Danielle, what's it all about.
Speaker 13 (43:46):
It's from Sabine And she said, my twin sister, Sandra
has been very generous with me. She shelled out a
lot of money to pay for my son's daycare tuition
when I was low on cash. She told me, whenever
I need help, to just ask. So you got to
call her, tell her I charged a lot of money
on her account without.
Speaker 10 (44:01):
Asking, and see what she says.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
All right, let's listen in. Let's see what happens. Today's
phone tap.
Speaker 13 (44:07):
Hello, Hi, I'm looking for a sandrug well you know
it to please? Yeah, yes, Hi, this is Lisa Stella
from the phone bank. How are you today?
Speaker 1 (44:14):
I'm good, Thank you.
Speaker 13 (44:15):
I'm just calling you to make sure you've approved the
seven thousand, eight hundred and forty eight dollars transaction from KinderCare.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
No, what did they charge eight hundred and.
Speaker 10 (44:24):
Forty eight dollars?
Speaker 13 (44:25):
It looks like it's nine months worth of tuition on
what Apparently it says here you've given permission before for
two hundred and eighteen dollars to be taken out, yes,
and so now now it's saying that they've also been
given permission for seven thousand, eight hundred nine year.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
It's actually for my sister's child, okay, But I had
done it as a one time thing for her, that
was it. Actually, I will call her right now.
Speaker 13 (44:49):
She is actually on the other line. Do you mind
if I connect you? Okay, Sabine, is that right?
Speaker 17 (44:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (44:55):
I'm going to connect you too. And then I'm going
to file some paperwork. So hold on here she comes. Hello, Hey, Pdra, Yes,
the bank just called me.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Yeah, they're calling me too, And they said that can
the care charge seven thousand dollars on my account? You
were supposed to call me to tell me what it
was gonna be.
Speaker 11 (45:14):
With the everything that's going on, I just forgot.
Speaker 6 (45:16):
Is it a big deal?
Speaker 15 (45:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (45:18):
So I don't have seven thousand dollars on the account.
Speaker 11 (45:21):
Well, they didn't tell me it was gonna be seven
thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
I don't have it. It's gonna put me at a negative.
I can't do that.
Speaker 11 (45:27):
But that put me in a bad position with the school.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
I'm gonna call you back on your cell phone, Padra.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
I'm on my cell phone and.
Speaker 1 (45:33):
I need to talk to you directly. We're connected to
the bank. I need to talk to you the bank.
Speaker 13 (45:38):
It's okay.
Speaker 11 (45:38):
She left the line. Remember she said she was gonna
leave us to talk.
Speaker 1 (45:41):
What's a big deal, Sabine. I need to call you Backdra,
I need to call them, Sabin. I have to call
my bank. Give me that much room.
Speaker 11 (45:49):
Okay, then, Padre, your bank is already on the line.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
Okay. Hello, I'll call you back.
Speaker 13 (45:53):
Hello. Yeah, Hi, I just wanted to see are we
okay authorized the transaction yet?
Speaker 11 (45:59):
No?
Speaker 1 (45:59):
We can't. I have to call the.
Speaker 11 (46:01):
Account we are authorizing it.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
No, we're not. Hello, saybe and I'm hanging up fat
don't hang out, girl, Please, I'll call you back, I said,
I don't know this sound you don't call you back.
Speaker 11 (46:15):
I wanted to Kindicien the other day. They said that
they were gonna authorize an extra payment, author write seven
thousand dollars. I don't have it. You know, what's supposed
to call me to tell me you were gonna make
an additional payment?
Speaker 19 (46:27):
I know.
Speaker 6 (46:28):
I didn't expect them.
Speaker 11 (46:29):
They just said an seven thousand, seven thousand dollars for
a month. What is it paying? Are you? She said?
Speaker 12 (46:35):
Nine months?
Speaker 11 (46:36):
They wanted to clear. I can't believe what you're telling me.
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 13 (46:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
I'm not happy, but I'll talk to them.
Speaker 11 (46:44):
You're not happy based on who mightn't do this to you,
you know, and you can't expect me to accept that.
You know, I'm really upset because the way you're speaking
to me, like I'm lying to you. If that has
the money, I give it to you.
Speaker 13 (46:56):
Hello, Yes, this is Daniel Narrow from Elvis to Ran
in the Morning Show. And you got phone tapped?
Speaker 11 (47:02):
Are okay?
Speaker 2 (47:11):
I got out? I'm gonna you.
Speaker 5 (47:16):
Elvis Duran a phone tap.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
This phone table was pre recorded with permission granted by
all of ours the.
Speaker 4 (47:23):

I thought i'd give me a call and give you
an air auditor, you're gonna give.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
Us an airhorse salute in the convoy, Yes, sir, We're
gonna turn the mics down to listen in okay, So
it's all you, Lieutenant Johnson.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
Remembering the sacrifices of US service members to all veterans
and their families, Elvis Daran in the Morning Show says,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
Here's Elvis veterans around the world. Thank you for your service,
and thank you to the families who sacrifice as well.
Without doubt. And it's a beautiful Veterans Day here in
New York City. It's cold. I mean I just walked out.
It's cold. The dogs went out to pee and they
ran right back in. So I don't know where they
decided to pee, but they're peeing somewhere. It's cold.
Speaker 13 (48:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Yeah, what do you think of that?
Speaker 10 (48:39):
That was awesome. I was so excited.
Speaker 9 (48:41):
We all ran to the window.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
You see, you thought it was awesome because it started snowing.
I thought it was awesome that it stops snowing. I
don't like that. We have a very special Veterans Day
food news report comming up with Froggy in a second. Also,
we can go around the room. Just go around the room.
Shall we do that?
Speaker 21 (48:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (48:59):
Do you guys do want to get that? Do you
need directionals on how to get around the room. We'll
go this way. We'll start with scary, scary? What's on
your mind today?
Speaker 6 (49:06):
I just want to say Happy Veterans Day. Thank you
Dad for all your services in the Navy. He served
in Vietnam, and my uncle Joe was in the Korean War,
both my grandfathers, everybody, It's a long line of people.
So just want to tip my cap and say thank
you for everything. And then to all the veterans and
all the families of military and everyone, thank you so
(49:27):
much for your services.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
You'll see Scary in the Veterans Day Parade today here
in New York City, froggy around the room to you
what's up.
Speaker 8 (49:34):
Mine's very similar as well. Thank you to my dad.
My dad was in the US Army. Thank you to
actually on the radio station I work for in Jacksonville, Megan,
she's also a veteran of the US Army. And today
is one of my favorite days. I'm going to Canines
for Warriors. I will get to spend the day with
dogs and service service animals and veterans. We will raise
money for them and hear their story of why and
(49:56):
how these animals have absolutely their lives. I am so
excited for today. Will be there all day today broadcasting live.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
And they're gonna be here with us tomorrow. Can They
will be here tomorrow.
Speaker 8 (50:07):
And when you hear their story, you realize that, like
a lot of them, they lost everything. Some of them
lost their family. They weren't able to go out, they
weren't able to do things, and these dogs come into
their lives and completely revitalize, rejuvenate and make it so
they can live again. And that's what's incredible to hear
their story and see that Ask for Warriors is saving lives.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
And I'm glad you're doing that event today. What's up
with you? Gandhi?
Speaker 9 (50:28):
Well, I'm gonna stay in line with what these two
guys were just talking about and wish my boyfriend Brandon
a very happy Veterans Day and everybody else. And I
know that something a lot of vets don't like to
talk about is struggles that they have, whether it's with
mental illness or just adjusting to coming back to real
life after being deployed for a long time. But there
are veterans crisis lines, and I don't know if everybody
(50:49):
knows about this. You can dial nine eight eight and
press one for help anytime you want it. You can
text eight three eight two five five, and you can
also chat online. So if you are a veteran that's
struggling with anything, there are resources for you. You don't
have to just be alone and deal with the things
that you have to deal with.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Thank you very very well. Put thank you Gandhi Danielle,
what's up with you?
Speaker 13 (51:08):
I'm not talking about veterans, even though I love them
and Happy Veterans Day. I actually want to thank our listeners,
which I'm sure some of them are veterans. They came
out to Garden State Plaza this past weekend for the
lighting of the Big Santa. They partnered with me on
this at Garden State Plaza and I have to say
fifteen thousand people are SVP to be at this.
Speaker 10 (51:29):
It looked like there was about that many.
Speaker 13 (51:30):
Outside, but there was a drone show and Santa showed up,
and Dylan Schneider, a country artists performed, and children's choir
and a children's Broadway thing and dancers. I mean it
was amazing and food trucks and I just met the
best listeners and they have been listening to us for
so many years, and they had so many stories. I
heard one woman tell me that we got her through
(51:52):
breast cancer. I mean, just it's when we get to
go out and meet the people who keep us doing
what we do. It just makes us feel like getting
up at three o'clock in the morning is so worth it.
So thank you to the listeners who showed up at
Garden Stay Plaza for this amazing event. We love the listeners.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
Yeah for the listeners. Thank you Danielle, thanks for representing.
Excuse me, what about you, producer sandwich up with you today?
Speaker 9 (52:16):
Do not minimize your contribution to something.
Speaker 12 (52:18):
I feel like this is something a lot of us do,
and I think about it every year on Veterans Day.
Because my grandpa was a cook in the army, and
because he, according to him, was quote just a cook,
he did not really accept any praise or you know,
appreciation for today. But Grandpa, if you're listening, yeah you
did matter. You helped a lot. And there are just
a lot of people out there who do the same thing.
(52:39):
They don't take their contributions as seriously as they should.
So happy Veterans Day and don't minimize what you contribute.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Absolutely, And finally, straight and eight, what's up? Well remember
what Napoleon said saying the army marches on its stomach.
That wasn't by around the room. But I'm going to
talk about veterans as well. So thank you to my dad,
my grandfathers, all of my uncles that served thank you
for doing what you did. And does anybody know why
it is on November November eleventh. No, well I think
I do, but I don't know for sure. Okay, it
(53:07):
signifies the end of the Great War, World War One.
They didn't call it World War one. They didn't know
there would be a sequel. They said that they wouldn't
know that at that point, wouldn't know. They said it
was the war to end all wars. And they signed
the armisist on the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour
of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. And they
thought that would be so significant that people would remember
(53:28):
it forever. But then there were so many more terrible
wars after that. So thank you to everybody that has served.
Thank you. There you go. It's Armisist date, Armiscists Day,
armis I can't say armistice, the armis If you say
it too much, you can't say it. You know what
I'm talking about, armist Armistice. What if Sean Connery tried
to say it? All this Armistice. It's a big day
(53:52):
and I have to say hello to two people here
on Veterans Day, Uncle Johnny, believe or not, did you
know he was a veteran, they called him Mamma Marino
because just like your grandfather Sam, he was a cook.
He cooked for all of them. And let me tell
you something, anyone in the military, you take it away
their food, they're gonna tell you how important that cook is.
Speaker 10 (54:14):
My grandfather was a cook as well.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
There you go. They called Uncle Johnny Mama Marino. And
he made a lot of brown food because that's also
a lot of food. There's lots of it, and it's brown.
Also to my father who is looking down from heaven,
who served not only in Europe but also in Japan. Wow,
he did both. And so Dad, you know, I always
wished he would have told more stories. I bet had
(54:39):
as a you know, a selfish little kid. Had I
not been so selfish, I would have asked for him
to tell me more stories. And I'm so sad that
I didn't. So if you have a veteran in your life,
maybe they do. Maybe they don't want to talk about it,
but you know what, maybe a little prompting will have
them come out and they talk to you about some
important moments they experience while serving. It's a very important
(55:00):
thing to do. What's up? Nate Yeah, to that point,
I asked, my dad told us like three stories about Vietnam.
And then I had to do a project for school
where we had to recorded an interview with a veteran.
And as soon as that camera went on, I heard
stories that I've never heard before. So take a moment
and just, you know, see if they want to talk
about it too exactly. Yeah, I may not want to,
(55:21):
and that's okay, absolutely, but once I'm sure, once some
of them start going, they're going to tell stories that
they may have forgotten about or wanted to forget about,
but they share them, you know. And it's a very
important day, very important speaking of it's a special Veterans
Day food news report from Froggy. Let's do it with Froggy.
Speaker 13 (55:44):
You will be in a world of fast food information.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
Oh god, okay, here we go. What do you have?
Speaker 8 (55:53):
So, yes, Happy Veterans Day. There are freebies and discounts
on the menu at restaurants all across the country. Now
here's the deal today. You need to be sure to
bring a military ID or proof of service. It is
for active duty and unretired honored retired military service members.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
So here we go.
Speaker 8 (56:11):
It's a laundry list. It's long, but there and there
are probably more than this out there. But today Applebee's
is doing things for veterans. We've got Befo Brady's, Bennie
Hannah doing a Veterans in Active duty Military personnel deal today.
You get a complimentary entre when you spend fifty dollars
on Veterans Day at Bennie Hannah.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
There are Bob Evans, Blaze Pizza.
Speaker 8 (56:30):
I mean, no matter what you want to eat today,
there are freebies Buffalo Wild Wings. Danielle doing Buffalo Wild Wings.
They're thinking veterans on active active military members with a
free ten piece boneless wings and fries today on November
eleventh with a valid military ID. Chicken Salad Chick Chili's
doing things for veterans. Cracker Burrow, as you mentioned earlier,
(56:50):
Elvis there doing a free breakfast deal today.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
It does run all day long.
Speaker 8 (56:55):
Denny's, David Busters, Einstein's Bagels, Firebirds, Golden Corral, Huddle House,
Waffle House. I hop all doing deals. Mission Barbecue. They
are always taking care of our veterans. At Mission Barbecue,
they're doing a big deal today. Pizza in Outback Steakhouse
given we a free Aussee three course meal featuring their
select entrees.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
That was yesterday and today with the valid military ID.
Speaker 8 (57:19):
Also for the Marine Corps Birthday which was yesterday that's
why they did it. And then today being Veterans Day,
Smoothie King Ruby Tuesday, Red Robin, Shake Shack, Sunny's Barbecue,
Starbucks doing a deal this morning, Texas Roadhouse as they
do every single year, TGI Fridays, Twin Peaks, Wendy's White
Castle all had deals for our veterans, and maybe some
(57:40):
we missed, but today is the day. If you're a veteran, please,
by all means go out and take advantage of these
deals that you so deserve.
Speaker 15 (57:47):
On this van you.
Speaker 13 (57:48):
Could eat free all day. That's so cool, and you
should eat free. That's so cool.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
I'm sure I missed it. Can you give me that
list to? You know what the length of that list
at as it is, it really tells a story about
how many people really want to want to serve our
It does veterans that.
Speaker 8 (58:07):
I asked a service member yesterday. I pulled them aside
and I said, he, I want to ask you a
question when we say thank you for your service or
thank you for what you do.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
Does that bother you?
Speaker 8 (58:16):
And they said no, They said some people don't know
how to respond because in the military you've been taught
to just handle what you're doing. It's your job, and
you don't really get a thank you every time, so
they're not used to it. But if you see a
service member and you want to say thank you, just
say thank you for your service, thank you for what
you do.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
And move along.
Speaker 8 (58:31):
Some will respond maybe the way you want them to,
and some may not. But still it's okay if you
want to say thank you. If you feel the need to.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
Do that, go ahead and do it. Excellent, thank you, Froggy.
That doesn't get you out of doing food news on Thursday.
Oh no, I have a whole separate report for Thursday. Okay,
very good, very nice. Hey, can we talk about this
story there's in the New York Times, Gandhi, do we
want to spark this thing up?
Speaker 9 (58:55):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Okay. I think it was an op ed piece. So
it's someone's opinion that women have ruined the workplace.
Speaker 9 (59:04):
What cause a lot of controversy over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (59:08):
I what, you go ahead and explain to everyone. So
I'm talking about Yeah.
Speaker 9 (59:12):
So the opinion piece is basically about how women and
women's views in the workplace have really ruined it in
a lot of ways because they're spreading these very feminine
characteristics that are supposed to be viewed as strong, but
in fact it's not. It's weak and it's destroying things.
Speaker 2 (59:28):
Well, okay, give us.
Speaker 9 (59:30):
Example, empathy, feeling.
Speaker 2 (59:32):
Showing empathy is a weakness, you know.
Speaker 9 (59:36):
Things like compassion, trying to talk about your feelings. Why
did this make you feel this way? What can we
do to make it better? Apparently a lot of people
think it was much better when everything was black and white.
You will do this. We're not going to talk about
why that's that. Move on. They're saying that women and
some of their liberal progressive ideas that have come into
the workplace have really just messed it all up for everybody.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
And I love you, yes, exactly. I love how they've
assigned all those incredibly important emotions to women. It's women,
because gods, God forbid, we ever have you know any
kind of empathy or feels so for what they're going
through and want to help.
Speaker 9 (01:00:10):
Them out, exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Okay, So they're saying that maybe we should never let
the little ladies into the workplace. Is that what they're saying.
Speaker 9 (01:00:17):
Pretty much, or that you know there's there needs to
be a pushback in the other direction and kind of
bring it more back to center than where this person
seems to believe things are right now.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Well, I will say I would love to see a
movement a little closer to the center and with a
little I would like to see it back to a
rigid more rigidity when it comes to making decisions in
the workplace. I do think it gets a little too
loose sometimes. I do not, from one moment, blame it
on women. I think that's absurd.
Speaker 9 (01:00:44):
I don't either.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Don't you think it Sometimes it gets a little wishy
washy Sometimes people are like, okay.
Speaker 9 (01:00:50):
Yeah, I think decisiveness in a lot of instances sort
of gets looked at as maybe bitchiness or somebody being cold.
But sometimes someone just needs to make that decision and
follow through with it and that's.
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
It, right. But do not blame women.
Speaker 15 (01:01:02):
No.
Speaker 13 (01:01:02):
But I do think if you go with your heart
sometimes it's better.
Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 13 (01:01:07):
Sometimes I feel like if you actually think about people's
feelings and people's emotions and stuff before you make decisions,
it's better. So I see both sides, but I don't
blame them, sure, for you know either of those tis.
Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
I agree, Danielle. No, I'm not saying I'm heavily against
heavy the heart. That's not what I But you don't
know what I'm saying. I think sometimes I don't know.
I hear stories of you know, friends who work in
corporations here and there, where some people will come in
and they won't work at all. They don't get anything done,
Their wheels are spinning, They're circling a drain and not
(01:01:41):
getting anything accomplished because they're just weighted down with the
niceties of empathy. Maybe that's being a little too much,
But you know what I'm saying, Yeah, I.
Speaker 9 (01:01:53):
Think that people assigning what they consider strong characteristics to
men and always assigning what they consider weak characteristics toward
women is ridiculous in the first place, and that the
gender roles are not what they used to be. Whether
people want to accept that or not, it's just the reality.
More women are working, more women are taking care of things,
and with that just comes sort of a realignment of stuff.
And I don't think that that makes either gender weaker
(01:02:15):
or stronger. I think it's just an adjustment of the
way that things are now. And I love I mean,
I love women in the workplace, always have.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
That's not even up for debate. But I mean, of
course we do. I mean, women run this show. Look
at it right there also three of them.
Speaker 10 (01:02:32):
Do you also wonder that.
Speaker 9 (01:02:36):
You forgot scary?
Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Fine?
Speaker 13 (01:02:39):
Don't you think al those certain places? I mean depends
on where you work. Like if you're working in a
hospital and you consider that your office your work office,
your empathy needs to be better and higher or worry
about people about stillings and stuff. So I think it's
like a case by case basis, Like you can't just
generalize everything.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
It's just stupid, amen and the general eyes.
Speaker 9 (01:03:00):
Yes, I think also this notion that women are so
emotional about things is wild. I'm not saying women are
not emotional, but I am saying men are equally emotional
all the time you're punched a wall, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
Well, okay, but on the flip side. On the flip
side is you know, if a woman comes to the
workplace and maybe is having an emotional and emotional crisis
whatever and gets emotional in public, that's nothing compared to
if a guy does. If a guy comes in the
workplace and starts starts crying or showing a very very
quote unquote week side, then it's like taboo, Like what
(01:03:38):
the what is that? So I don't know, but I
think you're right, though, Danielle. There's a there's a there's
a median line, but it's it's applied differently in different situations.
Speaker 13 (01:03:51):
Yeah, definitely, But I tell you there is a lot
there's a lot of guys here that I think we're
more emotional than the ladies. Scary study.
Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Emotional. We're all emotional. I think that's what that's the
nature of our business. If we don't come on the
air and talk about emotions and talk about what we're
really feeling, then that's not what we do. That's not
the show we do.
Speaker 9 (01:04:16):
And I also don't think that having emotion is a weakness.
I think it's important.
Speaker 6 (01:04:20):
But I was taught that you have to learn to
compartmentalize emotion versus making.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
Who taught you that, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:04:27):
I feel like that's how I was brought up, but
I was taught about that in business and these classes
that I took in college. You must learn to compartmentalize.
That's what That's what I thought in the corporate America.
Maybe I'm wrong. Listen, if the tide is.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Changed and no one said you're wrong to stop stop,
no one said you're wrong.
Speaker 13 (01:04:42):
You guys remember growing up in the olden days, like
you know, dads would say men don't cry, boys don't cry.
Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
You know my dad, my dad never ever said that
to me. That's good because my dad was you know,
he was Scottish. He cried all the time. I mean,
he is a very emotion okay, but look, you know,
I don't know. I think it's so important to show
your vulnerabilities because that's, in my opinion, that's strength.
Speaker 10 (01:05:08):
But I love the.
Speaker 13 (01:05:09):
Fact that my boys have emotions and they get emotional
because all my friends who are raising daughters are always like,
oh my gosh, you have no idea what it's like
raising girls. The emotions are crazy, you know what I mean.
I said, well, my boys have emotions too, and they're
you know, sometimes I think that, you know, it's harder
than girls at my house every now and then, you know,
But I'm glad. I'm happy to see that. You know.
(01:05:30):
I don't want it to just be girls. That go
through that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
I love this text. As a woman, I would just
love to throw in the towel. All right, I don't
have to work fire.
Speaker 11 (01:05:39):
You know.
Speaker 6 (01:05:41):
That place that allows us to let our hair down. Yeah,
just saying, you know, a lot of environments don't permit this.
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
I could make that's been yesterday, he cries every day.
I've been letting my hair down in this business for
so long, I've run out of hair? What's up? Frog?
Speaker 8 (01:05:56):
As you know this, I'm emotional for no reasons sometimes,
Like just the other day, it was on Sunday, I
was at the Buccaneers game in Tampa and one of
my friends does the Spanish radio broadcasting for the Bucks,
and so I went down to see him and I'm
talking to him and whatnot, and he just all of
a sudden says, hey man, we've known each other for
twenty some years, and I just want to say I
really appreciate you. I started crying. I'm in a football game.
(01:06:17):
I started crying. I'm like, I am emotional for no
reason sometimes, so I have no place to tell somebody
that you're like uncontrollable, uncontrollable with your emotions, like I
cry for no reason and I don't even know.
Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
It's called listening and honesty. You listen to what this
person had to say, and you're honest with you your feedback.
So that's cool. I love it. Let's get into the
three things we need to know from the little lady
over there.
Speaker 13 (01:06:38):
Hey, I'm ready to do the newsgirl, and now the
newsgirl to talk.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
You can speak now a little bit, and we now
give your permission to do the news newsgirl.
Speaker 13 (01:06:49):
All right.
Speaker 9 (01:06:50):
The Senate has taking a major step toward ending the
record breaking government shut down. A bipartisan measure was passed
last night after eight Democrats joined Republicans to break the
stale mate. The final vote was sixty to forty. The
legislation now heads to the House, which could vote as
soon as tomorrow to approve the shutdown ending package and
send it to President Trump. The bill includes a minibus
(01:07:10):
of three full year appropriations measures, provides full funding for
snap benefits through next September, and keeps most of the
government running through January thirtieth. Major sports books are placing
a two hundred dollars betting limit on wagers over individual
pitches after two pitchers were indicted in a gambling scheme
oh boy, yep, here we go. Major League Baseball also
(01:07:33):
announced that pitches will also be kept out of parlays.
Cleveland Guardians pitchers Luis Ortisse and Emmanuel Class have been
indicted in connection with an alleged scheme to intentionally throw
balls during games so that betters could wager. The MLB
hopes reducing the amount people can win will reduce attempts
at manipulation.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
God, I wish we could manipulate stuff around here and
make money.
Speaker 10 (01:07:53):
I'm sure we could.
Speaker 9 (01:07:54):
We could come up with some short like side bets
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
Wait did I say that out loud?
Speaker 9 (01:07:58):
You did say that out loud.
Speaker 2 (01:07:59):
That's okay.
Speaker 9 (01:08:00):
And finally, the Powerball jackpot is rolling over again. There
was no grand prize winner and Monday night's drawing, so
the jackpot jumps to five hundred and twelve million dollars
ahead of the next drawing on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Tuesday's Mega
Million strawing is worth nine hundred million dollars. Yeah, the
cash option there works out to just over four hundred
and fifteen million should you win alone. And those are
(01:08:22):
your three things.
Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Talking about no women in the workplace, I'm gonna win
that thing. And there's gonna be no Elvis in the workplace.
You like that problem, I believe it?
Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
Okay, another episode of Sauce on the Side.
Speaker 9 (01:08:35):
Who in the building would you like to get spanked
by amiyuse Andrew?
Speaker 5 (01:08:39):
For sure?
Speaker 9 (01:08:40):
Because of like the noise he would make.
Speaker 10 (01:08:42):
Yeah, And I just would love.
Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
To see him in pain, you know.
Speaker 10 (01:08:45):
And I want the spank where it's like you know
what you did?
Speaker 5 (01:08:49):
I want that.
Speaker 4 (01:08:50):
Open your free iHeart Radio app search Sauce on the
Side and listen now.
Speaker 5 (01:08:54):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 9 (01:08:57):
No, it's not too early to start holiday shop.
Speaker 12 (01:09:00):
All to Beauty's Early Black Friday event is happening now
through November twenty second, with new offers dropping every week.
Head into Alta Beauty today to shop The Early Black
Friday event All to Beauty Gifting happens here.
Speaker 20 (01:09:18):
Elvis Duran at the Morning show last night on Broadway,
The Great Gatsby welcomed back Jeremy Jordan as the lead
and he received this very long standing ovation, didn't hey, Danielle.
Speaker 13 (01:09:30):
Oh, it was incredible. People kept clapping clappee. So at
one point he looked down at his watch because it
was really long. And then you know how he is
a hello old Sport. It's like the first thing out
of his mouth that was so cool, it was awful.
Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
Well, Jeremy Jordan, it's gonna be on with us in
about twenty twenty five minutes, So hang on hanging out
at Short Hills Mall last night. You know, I just
don't go to malls enough. And I have read several
times now that malls are a lot of malls are
on the comeback.
Speaker 9 (01:09:56):
Yeah, thanks, you're.
Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
Coming to So what's what's different? Why are people wanting
to congregate congregate in malls now more than they were.
Speaker 9 (01:10:04):
I think it's a combination of a few things. I
think it is like one of those places where you
can go and have a good time and you don't
have to spend money, but you can still enjoy, like
hanging out with your friends and doing stuff and experiencing
some stuff. And I also think that people got sick
of ordering online and need to try clothes on again.
Speaker 13 (01:10:19):
Yeah, that is true. This happened yesterday because my girlfriend
and I were like, what should we do? So we
went to the mall by me guards they plaza, We
walked around, we had lunch, we shopped a little bit.
We caught up on things. I found things I would
never have bought, and I was like, oh my gosh,
this is perfect for so and so. And if I
hadn't gone to the mall to look at it, I
would never have even seen it, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
We had a great time. We had a wonderful time.
I didn't want to leave. As a matter of fact,
I started noticing stores closing. I'm like, what are they doing?
Speaker 10 (01:10:47):
You closed down the mall?
Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
What you got closed the mall? I haven't gone home.
So our friend ai Keide said, hey, there's Sata Santa.
It's too early for Santa. Then there was Santa right
right there. So the Short Hills Santa said, come on,
come on, let's fox sure, So we went in. We
took photos with Santa. He was awesome, What a great guy.
I'm thinking, well, Garrett, not to mention names that Garrett
(01:11:11):
was mentioning, there are some places that are not like
Short Hills. They don't have Santas of the same quality. Yeah,
the t mouse Santas.
Speaker 9 (01:11:18):
Oh my gosh, I love a bootleg Santa.
Speaker 10 (01:11:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:11:24):
A lot of places you make a reservation now to
go and see Santa. So you can get a spot
so you don't have to stand on the line for hours.
You can just do your reservation, which is pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
We had the best time. I didn't want to like
I said, I didn't want to leave. I got The
day started a little slowly. I wasn't feeling that great yesterday,
but someone said we got to go to the mall
on it. So we met friends, we hung out, we
were like the mall kids making problems and dinner. We
had lunch, dinner, we had everything. It was just a
great experience. So malls back to the malls. But you
could tell Short Hills is getting ready for the season.
Speaker 13 (01:11:57):
They all are. I think all the malls have all
their Christmas decorations and stuff already.
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Well, well I'm getting ready. I'm saying, they're getting ready
for the crowds. Like, Okay, it's going to be a season,
and you know, I hope this year is very fruitful
for all the retailers at the mall. Let's hear for
the mall.
Speaker 9 (01:12:13):
Did you sit on Santa's LP? Uh No, I said, no,
missed opportunity.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
I wanted to ask, but I didn't know. I didn't
want to be inappropriate with Santa.
Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
Why an adults sit on Santa's.
Speaker 10 (01:12:25):
Lip all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
Oh yeah, especially you know if they go to up
up the hallway to like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and get
get a couple of martinis and then they hang out
with Santa. It makes for quite a nice Santa.
Speaker 13 (01:12:38):
The other night that I was with, he politely said,
are you okay if I put my arm around you?
And I said, I said really, I said, yes, Santa.
Speaker 9 (01:12:45):
Go right ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
I would At what point will a Santa whisper in
my ear? Whoa? Is it okay? If I cup your buttocks?
I can tell you.
Speaker 13 (01:12:54):
Where that's the team Santa.
Speaker 9 (01:12:56):
We need dirty Santa specific we need dirty Santa neither.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
Hey, what was that show? It was a Christmas burlesque show.
It was a burlesque show. Where did we see that?
Speaker 13 (01:13:09):
It was in New York City?
Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but it was at was it was?
Speaker 6 (01:13:14):
It was?
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
It was? It was and yards, yes, they are they
doing that again this year? That was my favorite Christmas.
Speaker 13 (01:13:20):
That was awesome. They might be doing it again to
look it up forgot what was called though?
Speaker 7 (01:13:25):
It was?
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
It was yeah, oh yeah, oh no, it was. It
was sexy. It was a Sexy Show Secret Yes, yes,
is it on again this year?
Speaker 9 (01:13:37):
Official tickets. It looks like you can.
Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
We gotta go, We gotta go. It's so much fun.
It's an adults only crowd.
Speaker 9 (01:13:44):
Yes, yes, speak easy room. Oh my god, I'm definitely go.
Speaker 2 (01:13:49):
Oh it's so much fun. I'm sorry I said to
them something about it. I don't want to get it
too sold up. Let's get into sound with Garrett. We
have going on today.
Speaker 22 (01:13:57):
All right, We've been talking about all the delays at
airports and flights being canceled, but yesterday a Southwest pilot
actually got on the speaker on the plane that he
was about to fly to New York from Houston and
they were in a delay, and this is what he
told everyone on his flight.
Speaker 3 (01:14:14):
I don't really care what.
Speaker 19 (01:14:15):
Your PIC persuasion is. Then you should really call your
senator because I'll tell you this is costing the airlines
millions of dollars. And just take a thirty year place
with one engine running.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
And it's going to take at least ninety minutes to
take off. It's really frustrating for me right now.
Speaker 19 (01:14:33):
It costs about two hours of our lives on the
ground before it even take off, spend all that gas,
all that money, and it just rolls into the rest
of this Last night, I had a six hour delay
in Houston.
Speaker 3 (01:14:45):
And the weather was perfect.
Speaker 19 (01:14:46):
It's because the air traffic controllers aren't get paid.
Speaker 17 (01:14:50):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
See that's the thing about this government shut down business.
I mean, it happens a lot. You know, it's happened
many times before. But if someone asked, hey, can you
tell me why the government can shut down and all
these devastating things can happen, tell me. You start to
tell a story and you realize, oh my god, this
is so stupid.
Speaker 9 (01:15:09):
Yeah, there's no reason.
Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Yeah, there are people out there that need food, There
are people who need to travel, There are people who
need to get paid because their jobs are so essential.
And you know, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (01:15:20):
The people in power are the ones who should lose
their pay while it's shut down, not everything else. You
have to figure it out.
Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
Did they lose their pay in power?
Speaker 13 (01:15:28):
They probably got a raise.
Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Anyway. Anyway, Yeah, anyway, thanks for playing that for us. Yeah.
Speaker 22 (01:15:34):
I had friends actually, they just got back from Florida.
They had flights canceled Saturday and Sunday and they had
to drive back to get back to work school and
they just got back late last night. So all right,
now this sorry.
Speaker 9 (01:15:46):
Breaking in for a second. They definitely do still get paid.
Speaker 13 (01:15:49):
Oh they do.
Speaker 22 (01:15:49):
Yeah, all right, So this next story reminded me of Nate.
Remember how Nate wants to get into a bar fight, right,
So listen to this guy in Florida who got into
a bar fight pulled out a gun. Everybody's okay, but
listen to what they were fighting about. According to the cops.
Speaker 16 (01:16:04):
The shooter evidently raises chickens, and the conversation was about
how many eggs a chicken can lay. One victim ran
out into the roadway trying to get away from the shooter.
The other two victims head. We had several phone calls.
The shooter himself called nine to one one. Arming yourself
with a handgun when you're under the influence is not
a good idea.
Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
There's never going to give it out come with that
about chicken eggs? How many chickens? How many eggs do
chickens leg?
Speaker 22 (01:16:31):
And we didn't find out an answer, by the way,
all right, so Lizzo broke out Sasha Flute, Remember Sasha Flute,
All that you bought Sasha flute, a jacket and our
sweater and she covered some K pop demon hunters.
Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
This is Golden from Lizzo. I love Lizzone. Okay, good,
all right? So over the weekend.
Speaker 22 (01:16:59):
I don't if you got to see it, but the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees there was a ceremony.
It's gonna be on ABC, I think January first. But
Sultan Pepper one of the inductees. Salt, Salt and Pepper, Pepper, Pepper, Pepper, pep,
go ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
Pepper, Okay, you got? Are we good?
Speaker 13 (01:17:20):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
Listen to their montage of them performing over.
Speaker 17 (01:17:24):
The Ready rolling roll all the fame, So just talk
your head.
Speaker 10 (01:17:33):
Hey wait, I'm like you said, don't care.
Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
I love them? So Pepper tonight, let me here today?
Are ye tamp here go go Pip go forky girls?
What's my weekday day? Okay?
Speaker 5 (01:17:45):
Then chilling, chill it found in my business.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
So I looked around and I couldn't even leave them.
Speaker 17 (01:17:53):
Don't notice ya, come, I.
Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
Can't after after that's crazy going on and on.
Speaker 15 (01:18:09):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Hey, what may name a Salt and Peppa songame? Okay,
there's all good songs. We're gonna do one more piece
of sound from Garrett, and I'm going to play Salt
and Peppa all right, all right, just for you.
Speaker 22 (01:18:23):
So we all know Sabrina Carpenter's song Tears, right, and
we know what it's about, and we know the lyrics.
Like the lyrics, the tears are in down my thighs, right.
Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Not all, but not everyone understands fully what the lyrics
are really about. Go ahead, Garrett tell them.
Speaker 22 (01:18:36):
No, I haven't had that discussion yet with my own children,
so I'm not going to explain to ten million people
what tears is about.
Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Go ahead. She's aroused, she's a recast by something. Okay, Okay,
So there's tears on her thighs. Okay, yeah, there's tears
on her thighs. So how would kids Bop take on
this version?
Speaker 14 (01:18:55):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:18:55):
They did?
Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Yes, they can't, can they? I guess?
Speaker 21 (01:19:03):
Tears?
Speaker 22 (01:19:10):
Tears roll down my eyes, rolled down my eyes, and
my ideal for play turns into my ideal good day?
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
All right? All right, that's funny.
Speaker 22 (01:19:22):
So if you don't want to explain to your kids
what that song is about, play the kids Bop version?
Speaker 2 (01:19:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:19:26):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
You're a good America? Okay, Okay, I've made a decision.
You threw out a lot of great Salt and Peppa songs.
Give you those titles again to scream amount, go ahead,
what do you want to Let's talk about push it,
push it good and the winter is let's talk about
one time.
Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
We can see the explosions off in the distance.
Speaker 4 (01:19:51):
To all veterans and their families. Elvis da ran in
the morning show says thank you, let's talk about it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
Thanks to tunnel To hours were honoring veterans and their
families For Veterans Day twenty twenty five, tuntal To Towers
Foundation is delivering twenty five mortgage free homes to gold
Star families. You know what, it's a huge deal. It
sounds huge because it is huge, but this is just
(01:20:19):
another day at tuntals To Towers. I mean, tunnal To
Towers has been helping families, the families of heroes for years,
ever since nine to eleven, two thousand and one. And
I'm looking at the names of all of these veterans
who are receiving these mortgage free homes in their families.
It's amazing what they're doing. Thirteen of the gold Star
(01:20:39):
families receiving homes this holiday lost their loved ones to
service related illnesses, underscoring that continued risks, the risks actually
that our veterans face even after leaving service. And Tunnel
to Towers. You know, if you've never done a deep
dive on them, you should T two T dot org.

Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
Herey welcome Jeremy Jordan to the show. Yeah, I know,
standing ovation. Don't you love a standing ovation?
Speaker 15 (01:21:38):
You got one?
Speaker 2 (01:21:40):
Okay, it's just sitting in event yeah, yeah, yeah, you
know what. We of course, we're on in New York
and we're on around the country. And we get text messages,
all text messages all the time. Hey, I'm coming to
New York this weekend. What show should I see? And
I always Great Gatsby is always my go to for that.
Oh well, it's always been my favorite story. But to
happen on the stage Broadway, that's the best. You were,
(01:22:03):
of course you started the Great Gatsby Run. Yeah, back?
How many years ago?
Speaker 15 (01:22:08):
Was that?
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
Well, two or three years ago.
Speaker 21 (01:22:10):
We did it out of town and then we well
we started on Broadway early last year, right, yeah, and
now you're coming back. Yeah, I'm coming back, coming back.
Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
Oh, ge, you go back? Is it okay to go back? Yeah,
it is okay to go back.
Speaker 10 (01:22:23):
Did you have to relearn everything or did you remember everything?
Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 21 (01:22:26):
I mean it was like I left like nine or
ten months ago, so it's basically still there.
Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
Were you a fan of the story of Great Gatsby
when you're a kid or a long time ago? Where
was this a new story? Basically?
Speaker 21 (01:22:37):
No, I mean I knew it. I wouldn't say it
was like a fan. I mean I read it because
I was made to read it as a child, and
I don't think I ever revisited since then. But then
when I read it. When I got the show and
I read it again, I was like, oh, this book
still holds up. It's such a great story, and you know,
in film and on stage excellent. Let's talk about you.
Where are you from?
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
Originally I'm from Texas. Where are you from? I'm from
Corps Christi, Texas, Christy, I'm from McKinney, Texas. Ah, we
were in Corpus a lot. So, yeah, you ended up
in New York. And if if anyone asked you what
you did, you would say an actor, and then the
next question would be, well, what restaurant do you work in?
That's how you got started here in New York?
Speaker 7 (01:23:13):
Is that true?
Speaker 2 (01:23:14):
Uh?
Speaker 21 (01:23:14):
Well, my first my first gigs were like cater waitering,
which you know, was a little bit soulless. I was like,
I was like a pretty shy person, so I was like, oh,
I can just kind of sink in the background. But
then I realized, oh wait, I need attention, and I'm just,
you know, a tray holder. So I got out hopefully
pretty quickly.
Speaker 9 (01:23:34):
Right, you were a trey holder like that? Walked around and.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
Really, yes, that's what I did.
Speaker 21 (01:23:38):
I walked around holding trays and every time I'm at
a party now, I'd like try to like make eye
contact with cater waiters because I felt like I was invisible.
Speaker 9 (01:23:46):
That's what I was going to ask you. So, as
a cater waiter way back in the day, when you
walk around with the appetizers and people pass on it,
does that hurt your feelings a little? I always feel
bad being.
Speaker 21 (01:23:54):
Like, no, no, I don't care if they pass I
care if they like bump into me and like act
like I'm not a human being because you don't have
to eat this.
Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
I didn't make it.
Speaker 15 (01:24:07):
I know.
Speaker 10 (01:24:08):
Sometimes I just forget. We always found the.
Speaker 13 (01:24:13):
We always find the best place to stand for the
cater for when you come out. Yeah, buy the kitchen
because you get first. As soon as you come out,
I grab it off the tray.
Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Sure, yeah, you were my best friend. No, you were
never invisible to us. So you need to know that.
Speaker 21 (01:24:25):
Don't you worry if you if you can get your
tray empty, that sooner you can go back into safety.
Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
We hear these stories a lot about people who come
to New York and they actually, you know, they hit
the pavement to audition into work in catering jobs.
Speaker 15 (01:24:39):
And this and that.
Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
So you're you're this example, I mean, you're you're the storybook.
But so when did things start to click in the
acting end of it for you? I was I was lucky.
I mean I came out.
Speaker 21 (01:24:50):
I was fairly marketable in the industry, which you know
is sadly a thing. But yeah, my first show on
Broadway was was Rock of Ages and it was about
a year and a half after I moved to the city.
Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
Well, so what does it mean marketable? I mean as
an actor, what did you do? What did you do?
Speaker 21 (01:25:09):
There's a I mean, I mean there's a look. Yes,
there's a look. I still looked really young coming out
of college, so I looked like I was like sixteen.
And I was a straight guy in musical theater, which
is something that was not as high a quandity at
(01:25:31):
that time.
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
So I was really being a straight guy. That being
a unicorn. I've never heard of unicorn straight in the
same I did not call myself a unicorn.
Speaker 10 (01:25:42):
Where he doesn't he doesn't realize like I don't.
Speaker 13 (01:25:46):
You're like the hotty guy on Broadway, like you know,
like I interviewed you on the red carpet for the
Tony Awards when you were in Floyd Collins and when
we post an interview with you, people go crazy. You
are like the boy, the guy. I know you're not
a boy anymore, but.
Speaker 21 (01:26:01):
You know what I mean, I'm not I'm a I'm
a man. No, I guess I try not to listen
or pay attention to that stuff. It freaks me out really,
So yeah, stop.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
Do you have a question for Jeremy a former aspiring actor?
Speaker 21 (01:26:25):
That's I honestly, if I saw you on the street,
I would probably pin you as that. Stop stop stuck?
Speaker 15 (01:26:32):
Why?
Speaker 5 (01:26:32):
Why?
Speaker 2 (01:26:32):
What is what is he putting out there that makes
him seem like an actor to you? Which screams failure about.
Speaker 21 (01:26:41):
There's a slight air of desperation there's there, and it's
not it's not desperation, it's desperation for like connection, like hey,
let's talk, let's you have You actually have like a
very strong presence about you, which is generally what makes
people like tell other people you should be an actor.
Whether or not there's skill involved in that, I don't know,
(01:27:01):
but like a strong presence really really speaks to me.
Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
Well, my question is about failure there for a point
in your career, at the very beginning where you said
I can't, this is just too hard. I don't want
to do this. I'm going to go back to accounting
or whatever your backup plan was. No, that was not
my back But no, I didn't. I didn't have that.
I was success. I had success early on. I mean,
(01:27:25):
I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 21 (01:27:26):
You know, there there are still parts of my career
that I feel like I need that, I have things
to accomplish and goals that I want to to to reach.
But I was really lucky early on to to not
have to do that. In fact, I was so desperate
to get out of the catering job. I used to
also sing for little kids. Uh that job was terrible,
(01:27:46):
And I was like, I need to do what I
meant to do, you know, And so yeah, I was.
I was lucky enough to have some opportunities early.
Speaker 13 (01:27:55):
But when I talked to him on the red carpet
for the Tony's he had just come from Floyd Collins
and in that show You're dirty a lot. So I
said to you, wait a minute, they don't give you
off for Tony Award night.
Speaker 10 (01:28:07):
You said no.
Speaker 13 (01:28:08):
I had a run home, shower and then run to
the Red carpet.
Speaker 21 (01:28:11):
Yeah, well I live in Jersey, so I didn't run home,
but I I did have to take a full shower.
I mean it's like, you know, you get covered in
grime and dirt and all that stuff. But it's uh, yeah,
they they You do eight shows a week on Broadway.
There's no exception.
Speaker 13 (01:28:25):
Tony Award night. I mean that's a big night for me.
Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
We had like the next day off or something like that.
Speaker 9 (01:28:30):
But yeah, you didn't go home, but you did shower.
Where did the shower take place?
Speaker 21 (01:28:35):
Well, you know, some dressing rooms have nice little show.
Lincoln Center is where I Defloy Collins. They're they're bougie.
They're dressing rooms, every single one of them.
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
The day.
Speaker 9 (01:28:48):
I was thinking the creepy gym shower that Nate pops
into all the time, which I'm like.
Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
Oh, don't do that. This is not helping your case.
I love the fact that we now when those are
the days in the dressing rooms. I'm going there next time.
I want that fresh Yeah. I got so turing to
take a backstage tour just real quick, and so a
moment if you're just turning us on, Jeremy Jordan is
here back in The Great gatsbyond Broadway, the show you
should be watching period. Danielle had a question to ask you,
(01:29:15):
yeah so about a rumor.
Speaker 13 (01:29:17):
Yeah so, God, you know the rumors out there that
you were working on the Greatest Showman that you at
one point stepped in for Hugh Jackman as his role
because something was going on with his voice, and then
there was a possibility you would have taken the zac
Efron role, and then fans were pissed off because it
never happened. So clear up these rumors, please.
Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
I don't know what the rumors are.
Speaker 13 (01:29:37):
Listen.
Speaker 21 (01:29:37):
I was early in the development process of that show.
I helped with some of the demos, and uh, you know,
I did an early reading where I was the zac
Efron character, and you know, maybe naively had the hope
that it was going to go somewhere after that, like completely,
I'm unaware that they had already been talking to Zach
Afron about it. And you know, I do a lot
(01:29:59):
of concert I do a lot of like cabaret shows,
and I told this really silly, goofy story about it all,
and it's somehow made it on the internet and now
everybody's up in arms. But you know, it's it's just
it's what it is. That's that's how the business works.
You know, sometimes you're you're in a part of the
process and not the whole thing. Sometimes, you know, it
doesn't always work out the way that you should or
(01:30:20):
that you think it should or you want it to
whether it should or not, I guess it's subjective.
Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
But when it comes to Broadway, well, you know, Broadway
is a whole other story. I don't know.
Speaker 21 (01:30:31):
I haven't gotten any calls, okay, and it's and I'm
totally fine with it, like everybody can can can be
okay with it too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
Well, welcome back to the Great Gatsby. Yeah, I can't
wait to come see you. It is truly the best story.
Do you call anyone old sport the whole time in
the show?
Speaker 21 (01:30:48):
Yes, but you won't. You will not catch me dead
saying it in real life. I think we could bring
that back. Let's bring that back to twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:30:55):
It's never was a thing. It was only a thing
with Gatsby. He made it up.
Speaker 21 (01:31:00):
I mean we use words like Powell pal sure, sure,
bro bruh and sport sport on its own. Sure, I
mean slightly condescending, but yes, sure, j okay, thank you
for coming in. We do appreciate it very much. The
Great Gatsby. Make it a point to just get online
and get your tickets now. Don't even think about it,
just make it happen. And it's an honor to have
(01:31:20):
you here. Everyone's just so giddy that you're here, especially.
Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
Especially I love performing for an audience of six.
Speaker 4 (01:31:29):
To all veterans and their families. Elvis Duran in the
Morning Show says thank you.

the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at T two t dot org.

what a great guy. And you know he received a
eight year long standing ovation last night as he returned
to the Great Gatsby on Broadway, and he came here
to the interview and he left, he went back to
the theater. They're still standing in clapping. They're still there
(01:36:17):
since last night. They're still there, still giving him applause.
He what a nice guy. Is so great to have
him in here and loving the fact that you know,
broadways in our backyard. Bring him on? All right? Today
Veterans Day, of course, and Gandhi did a sound game
and we played some of it earlier. We're going to
play the second half now. Celebrities who are veterans. You
may not even know that they're veterans. You're about to
find out. Give me some marching music here, scary there
(01:36:42):
you go, the Washington Post marks, is this suicide? Yes?
It is John John Phillips SUSA. Anyway?
Speaker 7 (01:36:52):
Uh No?
Speaker 2 (01:36:55):
Is the susaphone named after John Phillips SUSA? I believe
he invented it? How about he invented it? I'm pretty sure.
All right, it's Veterans Day and these celebrities, through the
fun of sound are talking to you. They're like, hey,
I'm a veteran. If you know, if you think you
know who they could be, call diamond now at eight
(01:37:15):
hundred two four to zero one hundred. Hey see all
the pie sitting around. It must be Pie Day.
Speaker 13 (01:37:21):
Yep, it is, it is.
Speaker 15 (01:37:22):
It is.
Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
That doesn't mean it's March fourteenth, that's the other Pie Day.
This is the important one, Veterans Day. Every year. Veterans
Day is a big day, especially for our friends at
care Right Centers. They are the most incredible provider of
skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers throughout We're here in New
York and the New Jersey and Tennessee down in Florida,
(01:37:46):
and they love to help recognize veterans. Every year. They
bake twenty five thousand piles over twenty five thousand pies
to day. You got your apple, you got your you
got your pumpkin, gig all of them and they take
them to different facilities where veterans are hanging out in
local communities as a matter of fact, just to show
(01:38:07):
as a pie, a symbol of gratitude for all they've
done for us and continue to do so. They remind
us we celebrate the veterans of old and of new,
and we we love care Right. As a matter of fact,
a very very close connection to Scary care Right Right
with your mom.
Speaker 6 (01:38:24):
Yeah, they took amazing care of her. I don't know
where I would be without the help of care Right
and in my time of need. And you know it
just support for the family and everything. And their facilities
are beautiful and you know all the people that work
for them. They've got some wonderful staff that work, you
know in all these rehabilitation and the nursing centers. So yeah,
(01:38:46):
care Right, you know, go to care right dot com
if you're in need. I'm telling you they will. They
will light the light for you and show you the way.
Speaker 2 (01:38:54):

I kind of housed an apery. Very good. We love
your care Thank you so much. We appreciate you, and
of course we appreciate our veterans. And you know, keep
the stories going. If you know a veteran, maybe they
(01:39:15):
will open up and talk to you about some of
the stories, what it was like serving. If they do,
listen to every word because it's history. It's a part
of history. Let's go talk to Sydney on line too.
She's ready to play. So Sidney, your parents, what your
your parents met in the Air Force while they were
serving in Greece? Is this true?
Speaker 14 (01:39:34):
That is true? Yeah, they met in Athens.
Speaker 2 (01:39:37):
Wow, have romantic both in the area. Right, Well, well good,
I hope you have the answers. Here, here's the Washington
Post March again. Thank you. Uh Now, these are all celebrities.
You probably know them, and through the magic of sound
you will be able to identify them. And they're all
(01:39:59):
celebrities who served in the military. All right, here we go.
Here's your very first one. Listen closely. Who is this?
He didn't want to Did you know she served? Who
is that?
Speaker 13 (01:40:13):
I did not know?
Speaker 14 (01:40:14):
It's Rihanna, Yes, it is.
Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
Absolutely you have you most had a lot of fun
researching this, Gandhi it was.
Speaker 9 (01:40:22):
Yeah, she was in the Navy and she was actually
like a not a captain, but she helped train other people.
She got that far along.
Speaker 2 (01:40:29):
Wow. All right, here's another celebrity who was in the military.
Let's see if you can guess this guy pulled it
through the painting. It wiggle it just like with a
one inch brush. Let's decide. Maybe there's a happy tree,
evergreen tree he lives right there. Can you imagine him
in the military. He's so, he's so relaxing. Who is that?
Speaker 15 (01:40:51):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (01:40:52):
Yeah, he actually was hired as a master sergeant after
twenty years in the Air Force.
Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
Really okay, uh, this guy served in the military. Didn't
know it? Who's this? We can't touch this? Who's that?
Speaker 12 (01:41:14):
Let me think?
Speaker 14 (01:41:14):
Let me think?
Speaker 2 (01:41:16):
Yes, Now where did he serve?
Speaker 9 (01:41:19):
He was in the United States Navy, they say, before
he became famous after an honorable discharge. He then blew
up after that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:26):
Oh wow, those big pants? All right, this guy is
a veteran as well. Who's this? Sometimes it makes me
sad though, Andy being gone. I have to remind myself
that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Stephens are
just too bright. Wow. Who's that? Oh gosh, I heard
(01:41:50):
him a million times.
Speaker 5 (01:41:55):
I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:58):
That's Morgan Freeman, huge actor. Yeah yeah, and that's voice.
Speaking of voices, another great voice. Who's a veteran as well?
Who is this? Guy?
Speaker 15 (01:42:08):
You have?
Speaker 7 (01:42:10):
Who you?
Speaker 17 (01:42:11):
So?
Speaker 2 (01:42:13):
You can sign yourself si? You are what you have become?
Speaker 15 (01:42:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
Can you understand who that is?
Speaker 5 (01:42:23):
I know that one?
Speaker 2 (01:42:23):
James al Yes, yes, you did great? You got four
out of five?
Speaker 11 (01:42:30):

Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
Look We're always afraid whoever gets on on this phone,
because we never know the contestant who played this earlier.
She got one out of five. So you did a
lot better that.
Speaker 15 (01:42:43):
