Speaker 1 (00:01):
Portions of this program we're pre recorded.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It is ninety one thousand, damn degrees.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Dangerously high temperatures today, temperature temperatures creep toward triple digits,
the record breaking heat wave.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I am not tropical. I'm not a damn too can
This is too much.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Of your oppressive heat is there once again.

Speaker 5 (00:22):
But I'm sorry, said Wedding and All.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I asked the Lord to make it warm.

Speaker 6 (00:28):
I did not say bring the devil from hell and
have him sit his ass crack on earth.

Speaker 7 (00:33):
This is how Vista ran in the morning show.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
It's too hot to do a show. Oh my god,
it's sweltering here in New York City. Danielle's in Philadelphia
where it's sweltering.

Speaker 8 (00:44):
Oh yeah, it's hot.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
It's hot in there. What about you in Tampa? How's
your temperature? Frog? H what's hot?

Speaker 9 (00:50):
Gonna feel like one o seven today?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
There's nothing worse than that drip of moisture that goes
down your ASSA hold on, I just thought of something worse.
Never mind, I mean, Danielle, you and Gandhi. I mean
with breastuses. Yeah, yeah, you get you get the under
under booby sweat.

Speaker 10 (01:13):
Yeah, of course you gotta wash extra in temperatures like this.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah, wow, lot that scary. What about you and your boobies.
I'm good, no sweat yet, No, I got some sweat going.
It's hot. I think the high in New York City
is supposed to be ninety nine today. It's gonna feel
much harder. Yeah, I know. Anyway, we have an explanation
why we're all over the country today, and we'll explain
that in a few minutes. But uh, I don't know.

(01:38):
I don't think we need a summer song. Oh this
is kind of old, this summer in the city.

Speaker 11 (01:48):
In them down it's a minted, doesn't seem to be
a shadow in the city all around people.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Looking that fed or walking on the sidewalk. Ma's he
sounds old. It's different. No no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no no no. How about Astro from the Jetsons doing
rummer in the riddy. What have you heard this?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I have note?

Speaker 4 (02:15):
This is this is Daniel's favorite song. Come on, Astro rhyme.

Speaker 12 (02:21):
Rubber ready rock, come on rock written, We're pretty hello,
rock and round read we're looking rock prep rock and
run right rock rot runner.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
And see that's why Daniel loves that that one writ there.
All right, Well, anyway, the screw, Welcome to Wednesday. I
got to play you something cool, smooth. We're on Doggy
Poop Watch. So I brought Mass the Schnauzer to work today.

(02:58):
And he always loves to stand under Nate's stool. Speaking
of stool, Oh boy, he loves to poop under Nate's stool. Why.
I don't know. There's something about I don't know. There
may be a scent on the rug. Maybe maybe we're okay,
he said no, No, he's sitting down.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Maybe he's he's delivering karma to Nate for things we
don't know about.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
You know what, Max is hard of hearing. He's a
fourteen year old man. He has to go to the
vet this morning. That's why he came to see me.
But uh, but when you so, he's hard of hearing.
So if you say Max, sit, he may think you
said something else. So he's basically obeying. I will not
say that then, Okay, Now he's lying down, Okay, while

(03:48):
lying down? Correct, I have no comment. Hey, good morning, Jay.

Speaker 13 (03:57):
Good morning.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
We're up there.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Well, you know what, I gotta ask you a question, Jay,
are you calling from Cunkletown, Pa.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
Yes, sir, yes, sir, a little town and nobody knows of.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Well, no, no, no, no, we've heard of it. But
I just wanted to confirm that you're from Cunkletown. So
something funny that happened during the song. You know, you
spoke with Diamond when you called in to be the
first caller of the day, right, and uh wow, Scary
looks at the screen and says, guncle tone. There's no
Cunkle tone. Once again, Diamond can't figure out the names

(04:30):
of the tones.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
You said. It's a Diamond misspelling.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
He's like, Scary is like Max under the chair. He
is crapping all over there, and you're not in here
to defend yourself, Scary, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah, I know Scary is a loser.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Anyway, Okay, I'm so happy to talk to you.

Speaker 14 (04:51):
You guys been.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
How's everything in Cunkletown.

Speaker 14 (04:55):
It's good.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
It's quiet, it's beautiful, sunning out.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
The air is fresh.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
It's a good day to be live. I'm stoved man.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Wow. Well, here in New York City the air is
not fresh. We are stoked.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
We still have trees here, so I'm grateful.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Yeah, yeah, we got a couple of twigs. Hey, but
but Jay is a nurse on his way to work.
Are you loving the nursing industry? Are you loving that
for your life?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Is this the best thing I ever did in my life?
It's actually like in my pretty much my fourth career.
But I'm truly blessed. I love it every day. It's
a it's a it's a cliche. But you know, I say,
you never work when you love what you do. It's
a it's a fact.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Wow, you know what, It's interesting you say that. I
know of many nurses who say that is their third career.
They kept looking for a career they liked until they
found nursing. Then they discovered that was the one they
wanted all along. Is that true for you too?

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Very much? So, like I said, I was in the Marines,
then I went and I had a contracting company, and
I was a search tech. And then finally I'm a
nurse and I will die as a nurse. So it
works out well.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
We ended up die on top of a patient. Hey, question,
what is it? What is it about nursing and you
that you find so appealing?

Speaker 5 (06:09):
Well, obviously the helping partner, you know what it's something
new every day, you know. It keeps my mind going.
I'm like one hundred miles an hour all the day.
So I work in surgery, So it's people come in
unfortunately on days that are not the best days of
their life, and we help them get better and we
send them on their way, and we pray that it
continue to get better. But it's just a fulfillment on
all angles.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Well, So I guess that's the prayer for every single
person listening to you talk and including all of us.
Is being of service is so important in your life.
Whether it doesn't matter if you're selling clothing or insurance
or you're a librarian or whatever. As long as you
feel like you are in service for others, it's satisfying
for you. And I think that's a lesson. We can

(06:50):
all learn it from you. Jay of Kunkletown, pa O,
I love it.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
You guys are so awesome. I love It's like I
always have a drinking buddy.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
It's fantastic way to nurse.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
We call that nursing, not drinking. Hey, what do you
have for our friend? Jay? Well, I just googled Conkle
Town and while you're at the conchle Town General Store
having a Lebanon sandwich. Not sure what that is. Wow,
you could be wearing an Elvis Straight of the Morning
Show T shirt and wipe the corners of your mouth.
There you enjoy I love it, I love it.

Speaker 13 (07:22):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
Guys, thank you so much for being an absolute pleasure.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Thank you for giving us a story, because everyone has
one and we love you. Hold on, Jay, scary, it's not.
It's conkle Town. Oh okay, he's he thinks we said
funky town. We've changed conkle Town to funky towns. You
ready just sing it scary?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Here we go.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
Go.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Won't you take me to councle Town? You can just
tell a cookie monster. I don't get you anyway. Well,
welcome to the day. I'm so glad you turned on.
We're all together with a dog pooping on the rug
and we got scary singing concle Town. Danielle is in Philadelphia.

(08:09):
How was the game? Talk about it?

Speaker 8 (08:11):
Oh my gosh, it was absolutely amazing.

Speaker 10 (08:14):
Of course, the American League won four to zero victory
over the National League and my boy Cody Bellinger one
MVP from the New York Yankees.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
So that was awesome. And the entertainment from the game.
From the All Star Game.

Speaker 10 (08:26):
Yesterday, Oh my gosh, it was I'm going to talk
about it. But Jennifer Hudson was there, Patty LaBelle was there.
To men, it was incredible people.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
I love that well. I was at a bar. I
was at a bar last night watching the French Spain
game and I was sitting next to this this French kid.
He was so excited. He was so excited about the game.
And then, as you know, the French were eliminated. But
he looked up and said, that's okay, mister Duran. I

(08:56):
still love my team and I love my frosts. There
you go. Ah good, he loves his friends society. It's like, okay,
so you may be eliminated. Us was eliminated, but we
sure did love their story. Right, Hm, that was really cool. Anyway,
So we move on and I won some money on FanDuel.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Oh oh that's good. That's the important part.

Speaker 8 (09:16):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Yeah, sorry about that mess. Report back. Let's get into
the three things we need to know from Gandhi. Get
on with our Wednesday. What's going on Gandhi?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
A trillion dollar defense bill is being blocked by the Senate.
The National Defense Authorization Act needed sixty votes to pass Tuesday,
but fell short after Democrats lined up against it. Four
senators missed the vote, including Republican Mitch McConnell of Kentucky
and Democrat John Fetterman of Pennsylvania. The annual defense bill
is usually passed with bipartisan support, but Democrats are reportedly
blocking the bill to protest the war in Iran. More

(09:45):
ICE agent teams will start wearing body cameras after two
recent fatal shootings during traffic stops. The Department of Homeland
Security released a statement Tuesday saying every team will have
at least one agent wearing a body cam during arrests
from now on. The Department said the new policy is
to priority because it claims the media is spreading smears
about our law enforcement. ICE agents fatally shot a Colombian

(10:06):
man in Maine on Monday, after shooting a Mexican man
to death in Texas last week. In both cases, agents
were not wearing those body cams. And finally, Ohio is
now being named the top state for business in twenty
twenty six. It was created by CNBC in a list
of America's top states. For business based off of factors
like infrastructure, economy, workforce, quality of life, cost of doing business, technology, innovation,

(10:32):
and more. Those factors are used by states when trying
to attract new businesses to this state. Rounding out the
top North Carolina and Virginia and all the way at
the bottom Alaska and Hawaii. And those are your three things.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
We go there for whales searching, Yeah, whales sighting, yeah,
which is fine with me. We need those two.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
You can see him in both How nice?

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Not many whales in Ohio. No, are you ready for
your Wednesday?

Speaker 9 (10:57):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (11:00):
Normal?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Elister ran in the Morning show.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Capital one offering no fees or minimums on checking accounts
and Capital one cafes are open seven days a week
to assist with your banking needs. What's in your wallet
terms apply see Capital one dot com slash bank guy,
Capital one NA member fd I C I come like
it with.

Speaker 8 (11:25):
It's got something to say up the radar the whole time,
and I get on two two zero one. Elista ran
in the Morning show.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
All right, so I'm always on a search for a
good a good protein bar. Okay you are, and you
gotta agree there's some protein bars out there there just ball.
It's like eating chalk. Yep, right, yep, So this you guys,
trim me onto this bare bells bar. Yes, so good.
They're so good naturally artificially. Okay, it's got lots of

(11:54):
protein in there. Okay, but here's my thing. It's so
good it can't be good for you.

Speaker 5 (12:01):
That makes sense.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
But you look at the Bible and it's all they're
saying all the right stuff.

Speaker 8 (12:05):
Which what are you eating right now?

Speaker 4 (12:08):
I don't know this one? It's the cookies and caramel.

Speaker 8 (12:11):
Oh yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
I've got the peanut butter and jelly, which I haven't
had yet.

Speaker 10 (12:15):
And I brought the marsh Have you have the marshmallow one?
I brought it with me and the cherry one. I
brought it with me to Philly sacking.

Speaker 11 (12:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (12:22):
It's a lot.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Oh yeah, and you seem to be healthy. It seems
to be working. Yes, Scotty. Your girlfriend she she eats
these three times a day, right, fiance, Yes, that's right.
Did we announce that?

Speaker 12 (12:35):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (12:35):
Yeah we did. Okay, your fiance.

Speaker 15 (12:37):
She takes them on her runs with her all the time,
all the time. Her favorite one is the peanut butter,
peanut caramel one. Okay, so she knows. She knows if
a protein bar is pretending to be good for you
and if it's actually good for you.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Yes, because she's one that doesn't eat crap. So there's okay. Well, okay,
so I want to call the people down at bear
Bells and say, hey, I think it tastes too good.

Speaker 8 (13:04):
Make it worse.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
We're gonna sell them.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yeah, you got you gotta make it taste a little
like the other crappy ones.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Uh huh, you're gonna confuse it with candy.

Speaker 16 (13:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
I would eat seventy a day with a glass of milk.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, you're gonna be so strong.

Speaker 10 (13:17):
I was in the vitamin shop the other day because
they sell them there. I could not believe how many
flavors Elvis, there is a lemon cheesecake.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
See that's not possible to eat. Well, here's what I'm
gonna do. I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do bare beells
all this week good And I won't eat three a day,
but I'll definitely have one a day. You're gonna be huge.
That's twenty grams of protein of pop there. Huge as
in fat ass, no bad ass, swollen.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Like Popeye. You're just gonna have giant arms.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
All right. Anyway, So bare bells, by the way, that
not a not a partner of ours.

Speaker 8 (13:53):
I'm just saying we'd like them to be Hello.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
It's just it's just too good. They need to mess
it up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
You are full of ideas. Yeah, I'd like to make
your business worse.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
This is why I don't own a protein bark company.

Speaker 8 (14:08):
Yeah, like they have a banana bread one too.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Oh god, I'll stop it. I never told I would
for dessert. I would go to the vitamin store.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
Vitamin shop.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Yep, let's get into the horse cup. Who's doing them today?
You and Scary because I want to see you encounter
Scary's breadth. Oh geez, Scary, go use Gandhi's microphone. All right,
Uh wrong, here we go. If it's your birthday today,
you celebrate with Forrest Whittaker, Diane Krueger, and Gabriel Iglesias. Okay, cancer,

(14:44):

Speaker 11 (14:52):

Hey?

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Those are your Wednesday morning hearts. Thank you, Ketty, thank
you for letting us borrow your microphone. Gandhi, it was force. Um,
so what we're checking out? Has my dog Max pooped
under your stool yet? Not yet? Poop watch? You know
what we should do? Poop watch poopach. We should get
like poop bingo or something, and we each get a square.
You know how they do that with cows. I think
it's cow patty bingo.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
It is.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
They let a cow go out into a field and
they have the field marked. We should get a big,
big section mark it off. Everybody take a square, and
whoever Max poops, it's a waste of time because you
know he's gonna poop under your under your chair. It's true. Okay,
I don't know, Danielle, what do you have coming up?

Speaker 10 (16:40):
Did Tom Holland get ghosted by Norway's Earling Holland.

Speaker 8 (16:44):
Mmm, and oh, we're celebrating an anniversary today. I'll tell
you what it is.

Speaker 7 (16:49):
Bizarre, creepy and unsettling.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
She ended up finding maggots in the pastry.

Speaker 8 (16:54):
The Mother nos Death Podcast.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
Open your free iHeartRadio app search Mother Nose Deat and listen.
Today Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. This is how
this Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
It is hot as hell and it's gonna be one
of those days in New York City. You have to
keep in mind if you're from here, you know what
I'm talking about. The buildings, all of them all heat up.
It's like a rock in an oven, Okay. And so
when the sun goes down, the rocks retain the heat,
so the heat will continue even in the dark, and

(17:29):
the whole town is just radiating heat. So uh, as
a treat for you guys, I got ice cream coming
in for you today. The scream Truck is rolling in.
It's okay, Diamond Danielle, We're gonna have it back. We
have a we have a new product on the scream truck.
As you know, it's it's it's it's gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Can we save her son? It'd be better to bring
it in fresh. Okay, sorry, Daniel, try translation.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
These pigs will eat it all anywhow Anyway, scream Truck
a big announcement as well as you guys know that.
It's I'm a part of the scream Truck family.

Speaker 8 (18:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
If you're in the mood for some ice cream on
your street and you're living, let's see down in Miami
Dade or Broward, We're coming to you soon. Oh nice, nice,
But I didn't make the announcement. No, no, I didn't
give you that. I think I just made the announcement. No,
that was a tease. It's a tea. The pink trunks
will be rolling soon. But you didn't hear that from me. Okay,

(18:32):
all right, what else you want to talk about? What
else can I screw up?

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Can you screw up?

Speaker 4 (18:39):
I will tell you now. I'm already getting sad over
the fact that Sunday's the last day.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Oh boo, it's terrible.

Speaker 8 (18:47):
I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
But you know what I heard.

Speaker 10 (18:49):
Saturday, we do have games for the other teams that
are like third place, second place, which I didn't even realize.
So there are a couple of extra games, which is good.
That I didn't know up third one.

Speaker 8 (19:00):
Okay, one is better than none, Nate better than very much.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
So I just I was talking about this last night
and a friend of mine Eddy, that doesn't sound like
you talking about your sadness. At about the end of
the World Cup, I went, well, it's been such a
unifier for all of us, and I'm assuming as you
listen to this, the people that you hang out with
you too, right, it.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Has been a nice, like heartwarming month and a half
that I think all of us need.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Yep, Froggy, you're the biggest jock on the show. I mean,
what do you think about World Cup and what it's doing.

Speaker 9 (19:32):
I'll tell you I was not really excited about it
at all. As we were leading up to World Cup,
and you know, talking to Danielle and other people that
I know they're really big soccer fans, I was like, oh,
it'll be great. I'll watch a couple of games. I
was so hooked early on that. Now yesterday I said
and watched the entire Spain France game. I was so
into the game. Today, I can't wait for England Argentina.
I'm torn on which team to pull for. I have
a really, really close friend who is from Argentina. He

(19:55):
and his family are going to the game. I love
Danielle and her family. I've got another friend here. It's
right around the corner for me that's from England. But
I am so into it. And once again I'm thinking
about Sunday. It's all going to be over, and then
next week what what we do, what we talk about
with the people that.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
We don't know.

Speaker 9 (20:09):
Because I love to talk to strangers. I will talk
to the wall if I can, and I love talking
to people about World Cup.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
And now it'll be over.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Wait, Frog, so are you in a position where you
just hope both teams have fun?

Speaker 9 (20:20):
You don't what, Gandhi it is like that, but I
hear that that's not the outcome. So today at three o'clock,
I have to pick a side.

Speaker 8 (20:27):
Okay, it's going to put the right side.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
That's okay. Yeah, I heard you say something, Froggy, and
it really kind of gave me goosebumps. But shivers. You
said I got a really great friend from Argentina, and
that means that friends a greater friend than Danielle.

Speaker 8 (20:41):
Yeah, that's why I heard you.

Speaker 9 (20:43):
I want to say it one time and I hope
he's not listening. I love you, Martine, but today I'm
going for England.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Kaymonds of the world except for Argentina is going for
England at this time. I'm on the boys.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
You do that.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
I mean you may lose somebody on that, but okay,
go right ahead. Hey, hey, hey, yeah, I gotta pick
up fan duel again today. See where I'm going. I
made money and I've made one hundred and forty dollars yesterday.

Speaker 12 (21:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (21:07):
Wow, that's cool.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Yeah it is. Anyway, it'll be sad to see it go.
If you want to join us in Central Park for
the world's biggest watch party on the Great Lawn. I've
got all the infro coming up. I'll be hosting for
a while. I think I'm hosting before the game, and
I'm gonna get up and go to a borie watching
it anyway, all right, Danielle Live from Q one, O
two and Philly.

Speaker 16 (21:26):
Yeahs going on?

Speaker 10 (21:27):
All right, Well, let's talk World Cups since we are
like we said Sunday, it will be all coming to
and from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. There is a
closing ceremony scheduled in the ninety minutes before the match.
The halftime show will feature Biber, Shakira, BTS, Coplay, Madonna
and the Sesame Street Muppets. That's right, I'm coming, and

(21:49):
to accommodate everybody, I'm hearing that they may expand from
the traditional fifteen minute break to thirty minutes. Jennifer Hudson,
who will perform the Star Spangled banner at the closing
ceremony time. Cruise will be making a special appearance. Nicole Scherzinger,
Robbie Williams. I mean, the list goes on and on.
I show Speed, who is a streamer who has the

(22:10):
unofficial twenty twenty six World Cup anthem.

Speaker 8 (22:13):
He's gonna be on, So it's gonna be fun. Tom Cruise, Yeah,
I'm not exactly sure.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Helicopter, he's coming with.

Speaker 8 (22:21):
His top gun front.

Speaker 10 (22:23):
By the way, the World Cup is giving a boost
to the love lives of lots of singles living in
the eleven US host cities.

Speaker 8 (22:31):
This is according to a new survey.

Speaker 10 (22:32):
It finds that nearly half of the one thousand singles
polled say they've gone on a date where they've hooked
up with a World Cup visitor, and eighty percent have
used a dating app to match with one. New York
comes in number one and Atlanta comes in number two.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
So let's ask Nate. Nate, has your love life picked
up since World Cup? It's actually got worse.

Speaker 14 (22:54):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
I was trying to convince Diamond to do it. I
was like, now's the time, open up, ye start starting
for these.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Stewarts on Diamond, you're not picking up any boys in
town for World Cup.

Speaker 8 (23:02):
No, because they're not staying. Like yeah, Diamond, you said
you're not looking for love. So hey, it's my work.

Speaker 12 (23:11):
Come on, you.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
Have a few days left exactly.

Speaker 8 (23:16):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 10 (23:17):
So so Tom Holland d m one of our favorites
Norwegian soccer player Earling Holland, and he got ghosted. He
spotted him across the way at the F one Grand
Prix last month and he said, you know what this is.

Speaker 8 (23:30):
You know what I'm gonna do.

Speaker 10 (23:31):
I'm gonna go in DMS. I'm gonna see hey, you
want to get together?

Speaker 8 (23:35):
Blah blah blah. Well he also said this is.

Speaker 10 (23:37):
A humbling experience because he did not respond. For what
it's worth, Holland didn't know who Tom Holland was, so
he said, I don't watch movies much, so I really.

Speaker 8 (23:51):
Have no idea who these people are. So that's what
happened there.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
So yesterday it was all.

Speaker 10 (23:56):
About the MLB All Star Game. The American League won
four zero victory over the National League. My boy Cody Bellinger,
he got the All Star MVP. He is, of course
from the Yankees. You know what, one of my favorite
moments Advass day. We got to do the red carpet
event beforehand where all the players dress up with their
families and come on the red carpet. My favorite part

(24:17):
of it was hanging out with all the mascots from
all the different teams. They were dancing, the mascots were
dressed up. It was so much fun.

Speaker 8 (24:25):
It was great.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
Dania loves her furries.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
I do.

Speaker 10 (24:27):
I love my furries. Jennifer Hudson sang America the Beautiful.

Speaker 8 (24:30):
Last night. Patti LaBelle performed. Voice to Men performed.

Speaker 10 (24:33):
They were flyovers from the New Jersey Air National Guard.
I mean it was insane. The Philly Pops performed. It
was an amazing All Star Game last night. So thank you,
Thank you Philly for hosting that because it was incredible. So, guys,
do you know what anniversary we are celebrating today? What
one year ago at that Coldplay concert, the JumboTron kiss

(24:56):
cam caught the executives kissing.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
That's over, that's done, I.

Speaker 8 (25:01):
Know, but it's the one year anniversary. Didn't it go fast?

Speaker 18 (25:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (25:04):
A year flu by right, it's crazy.

Speaker 10 (25:07):
All right, let's talk about the World Cup semifinals three
o'clock today, England and Argentina.

Speaker 8 (25:11):
Let's go.

Speaker 10 (25:12):
We have the twenty twenty six w NBA All Star
Draft today as well. You've got the SP's also the
series premiere of Nation's Dumbest. This is where twelve celebrities
endure the summer school experience while trying to get off
the show as quickly as possible.

Speaker 8 (25:28):
So I don't know. I will have to check that out.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
And that is fair.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
That sounds awful.

Speaker 8 (25:34):
I think it sounds cute different America's Dumbest.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
It's like, yeah, are you smarter than a fifth grader?
Sole exaction? Okay, it looks terrible.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Do we play a game or something?

Speaker 1 (25:43):
I have a connection? If you want one?

Speaker 5 (25:44):
You do?

Speaker 12 (25:45):
I do?

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Ohka? Should we play here? Yeah? Here is not?

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Next?

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Well, then play it, ask for it here and then
do it late next Well, no, you got to play
it before you ask for it. Oh, that's right, that's
a connection.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Scary, go to connections. I believe it's eighty nine.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
When's Caroline Hirsh coming in here later this morning after
nine o'clock. You know, the big New York Comedy Festival
is coming up in November. Tickets go on sale this morning.
And I know that. You know, Caroline from the world
famous Carolines Comedy Club putting the whole thing on with
Greg and their their family and the two hundred and

(26:28):
fifty different shows in New York City in the span
of a week and a half. I think something like that.
And one of those shows is going to be Gandhi's.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yeah, she's a comedian.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Are you gonna do a stand up?

Speaker 1 (26:39):
I am gonna give it a shot? Yeah, question?

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Are you standing up right now? I can't tell yes? Okay,
all right, So Caroline Hirsch will be in to talk
about the world famous New York City Comedy Festival that'll
be in just a little bit.

Speaker 16 (26:56):
I've never seen anything happen.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
That's I'm scary. I really need the connection.

Speaker 11 (27:00):
Your screen is spassing out every time I try and
turn to the page.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Okay, okay, let's take a break. Thank you. We don't
have to share that with the world. Scared, Can you move? Okay,
we'll be back. My screen is spassing out. We'll be
right back. I promise.

Speaker 6 (27:17):
What was that?

Speaker 8 (27:18):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show, Explore.

Speaker 4 (27:21):

(27:44):

Speaker 7 (27:46):
Standard data and messaging rates may apply. Elvis Duran and
the Morning Show come here, gandhi, it's.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
Time to play your connections.

Speaker 18 (27:53):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Where have you've been, you know, hang out with time
and talking about work?

Speaker 4 (27:59):
That sounds like no fun. Are you guys like talking
crap about people?

Speaker 6 (28:04):
No?

Speaker 4 (28:04):
Are you talking behind people's backs?

Speaker 1 (28:07):
You know me, I do not believe in being passive aggressive.
I like to be regular aggressive, So behind your back
is not fun. You gotta say it to their face.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
Sounds like fun. Okay, we'll move on. Let's get into
your connections. Okay, you know you have done so many
of these This is number eighty nine.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yes, Wow, they're fun. It's really fun to do. And
if I don't label them clearly, when I go back
and listen to them because I keep a folder, I'm like,
what the hell was that one? I don't know. So
they're labeled all very neatly.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Okay. Yeah, So the premise of the connections is this,
these four pieces of sound have something in common. Yes,
it could be anything.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
It could be the artist, the title of the song,
the concept of the song, a lyric in the song.
You never know, they've got something here.

Speaker 18 (28:52):
We go listen closely, right, maybe together we can get somewhere.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
I got it? Do you too?

Speaker 13 (29:06):
Oh?

Speaker 18 (29:06):
You have got it?

Speaker 6 (29:07):
Oh? Wow?

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Yeah eighty nine. This might be the first one I've
ever gotten right. It took eighty nine tries. I finally
got it. I got it.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
I'm upset.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Well, okay, so we think we have it, but knowing
you and your wacky mind, it could have a nuanced
that we're not recognizing you all got it?

Speaker 1 (29:23):
You got it?

Speaker 4 (29:23):
We got it?

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, okay, thank you for dubbing it down any time
for you, buddy.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
So do you do you consider that a dumbed down connections?

Speaker 1 (29:33):
I didn't until now.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Okay, good, are you serious? No, the whole world got it,
except maybe a few people didn't get it. Okay, Look,
I'm I'm captain oblivious. I go through life and everyone go,
do you see that rainbow?

Speaker 18 (29:49):
Why? Rainbow?

Speaker 8 (29:50):
And I'm looking at the.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Ground for a rainbow. So I'm you're not alone. Scary.
Sometimes I don't get these things at all, and you do.
So now what we do?

Speaker 6 (30:00):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Call diamond? If you know what the connections are all about?
What connects them?

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (30:06):
Uh? Called diamond? At eight hundred two four to two
zero one hundred diamonds, someone should be calling.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Okay, I'm gonna text you a diamond.

Speaker 8 (30:12):
Do you have it?

Speaker 2 (30:13):
What does diamond?

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Okay, you don't know, I'm gonna text it to you.

Speaker 8 (30:19):
Wow, I wasn't paying attention enough, Salt.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Danielle's really tired. She was up late for the big
game in Philly last night.

Speaker 8 (30:28):
Yeah, and I need my energy for England today.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Yeah, about the entire country. So Danielle is gonna hop
on the turnpike, drive up with their family. Yeah, home
and then how many people are coming to see the
England game in your house?

Speaker 10 (30:41):
To be honest, I have no idea. We have this
open door policy. So if you want to come, you come,
I come on over.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (30:49):
So my kids have been like, oh, this one's coming,
and that one's coming. Oh, and this one's coming.

Speaker 10 (30:52):
I'm like, okay, bring it on. I don't care as
much as long as your room for the right team.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
Come on over all?

Speaker 18 (30:58):
Right?

Speaker 11 (30:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (30:59):
You mean it more fun though to have people there
that aren't rooting for England.

Speaker 8 (31:02):
Oh no, you don't know, not want to do that?

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Oh yeah, what's the problem issue?

Speaker 10 (31:09):
Because I just know how my family is with this,
and it would not be good if you're on an
opposing team when England is playing.

Speaker 8 (31:17):
Not a good thing.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
You go get your Argentina.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Sure, I actually have an Argentina jersey, but I would
never yes, you would. I think I want England to win.

Speaker 17 (31:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
I'm very tayank you.

Speaker 8 (31:26):
And you know what happened the other day, so we
don't even know who.

Speaker 10 (31:29):
Somebody sent us a congratulations pizza on the last game,
and the pizza delivery guy came. He handed us a pizza.
He didn't tell us who, but it was from one
of the neighbors. We still can't figure out which neighbor
it was.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
If you were the neighbor, let us know. We want
to thank you. Hello Megan from beautiful Morristown, New Jersey.
How are you doing today?

Speaker 10 (31:45):
I'm great, good and running.

Speaker 11 (31:47):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
You know you're kind of my neighbor. I live up,
I live in your neck of the woods. As they say,
Oh I know, why have you been to my house?

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (31:57):
No, I've almost seen you around a couple of times.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
Oh almost, you've seen You've almost seen me around. Explain,
explain like the.

Speaker 8 (32:04):
Just miss like you were just out of place. I'm like, oh,
I was there the day before.

Speaker 17 (32:09):
Where.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Tell me where?

Speaker 10 (32:12):
Like some of the pizza places that you talked about.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Okay, all right, you're so you're so quiet. You don't
want to you don't want to give anything away, all right. Anyway,
So Megan, this is like the nervous, like blanking. Okay,
I do that all the time. This is connections number
eighty nine. These four pieces of sound have something in common.

Speaker 18 (32:33):
Transportation.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Okay, well, hold on, hold let me play the Sorry
that may or may not be the answer. Let me
play the whole thing. Hold on, Meagan, hold on, there's
a piece of sound right there, right there's another one.

Speaker 18 (32:50):
Maybe together we can get somewhere.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
So okay, So Megan, what do those four pieces of
sound have in common?

Speaker 17 (32:58):
Transportation? A?

Speaker 8 (33:00):
Sorry?

Speaker 18 (33:00):
Fine?

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Is that.

Speaker 10 (33:04):
Travel?

Speaker 4 (33:05):
Modes of travel? Yeah, if you want to figure out,
it's ride the train, go sailing, you're on an airplane.

Speaker 18 (33:16):
Maybe together we can get somewhere or.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
In a fast car.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
There you go, very nice.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Dang all right, I gotta make him harder.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
I started thinking of more songs.

Speaker 11 (33:25):
There's that song that was an easy one, Gandhi.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Sorry, no, I'm glad you got it good.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
What is that song? It's like you can meet me
by a ways. Oh yeah, you can on a magic
cop it. It's called be Be There, be here. Oh
I love Ala Adams.

Speaker 8 (33:47):
Scaring those too much music stuff. He's crazy, it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
He is crazy. Anyway, you have something good for Megan,
because that's pretty cool. What yes, we do? You know
where I'm gonna pull out. I'm gonna whip this up.
Five dollars for our friends. Rails to Trail, Oh my god,
speaking of transportation.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Absolutely, they are my homies. I love them so much.
Rails to Trails is a conservancy that takes old rail
railroad and railways and walking past, and they turn them
into brand new places so you can go out and
see the world and be outside. It's amazing.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
Yeah, Megan, next time you're in the city, you go
to the high line. That's exactly what they do. They
take an old train track and turn it into some trails.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
It's really cool.

Speaker 17 (34:26):
I'll know that in August when I'm lost.

Speaker 8 (34:28):
That'll sound lovely.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Wow, five hundred dollars on your way, thanks to our
friends at Rails to Trails. Hold on one second. It's
a pleasure meeting you, Megan. Next time. Next time, I
hope we're in the same place at the same time.
Hold and there you go. That was a good one.

Speaker 8 (34:42):
Yeah, scary.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
You really didn't get that one.

Speaker 16 (34:44):
The second time it played.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
I'm like, duh, okay, I'm starting to feel insulted.

Speaker 6 (34:50):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
He said duh. He used the word duh.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
He also used the word spaz earlier. I don't think
we could say that. I think I don't know.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Wait, isn't that like a I don't know, I think
of voluntary moment.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
I think of spastic colon.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Oh god, oh.

Speaker 16 (35:06):
God, I can't say.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Well, I don't know, look it up and should we
look it up. I just google. Can you say spas anymore?
It says, what is it saying? In generalhood is best
to avoid saying spas or spas out well. It is
widely recognized as an ablest slur. Uh. It's short for
spastic offensive to the disabled community people with cerebral paulse Okay,

(35:30):
now we know the look. You know, learning curve. I'm
always on the learning curve. I never drive straight. It's
always curve. We should do a bit. What can't we
say no more? No, we can't.

Speaker 8 (35:40):
Yes, yeah, that would be a good one of the bit.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
We can't say that. The worst game ever.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
I've been learning a lot lately.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
It's a game where you have to you can't say it. Why, no, No,
don't be sorry. No, we all learned together. Are scary.
It's all good. It's all good. We wanted to the
right thing and we're learning. If anyone has a problem
with us, how we learn, that's your problem. Yeah, your
trigger is not my problem. It is not all right.

(36:11):
We have to do three things we need to know
from gandhi. Also, uh, my friend Eric Murphy, who's driving
the Pink Scream truck into the city, he says, he'll
be here in my fifteen minutes with ice cream and
announcement I've already made. So that's pretty cool. Into the
three things we need to know from Gandhi? What's going
on Gandhi?

Speaker 8 (36:30):
All right?

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Health officials and Michigan specifically are urging residents to avoid
the bagged lettuce to keep from getting the cyclosporest supariasis.
We know it's everywhere now, it's here in the city,
it's in Michigan, it's in Iowa.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
So these bagged souths which I love those bagged salads
me too, but I'm not gonna eat.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
No, no, don't do it. We know that the parasite
has been causing thousands across the country to get explosive diarrhea.
It's crazy to use that term in a news story,
but it is what's happening.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
It's kind of fun.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
There are other severe symptoms as well. Over five thousand
cases the infection have been reported, with over three thousand
in Michigan alone. The CDC and the FDA say they
are investigating several outbreaks linked to fresh produce. Michigan officials
are still investigating the cause of the outbreak, but are
urging residents meanwhile, to avoid salent mixes and bag let us.

Speaker 8 (37:16):
What's up Max?

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Max is barking? What's going on?

Speaker 1 (37:18):
What does he need?

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Did someone from sales department walk by?

Speaker 1 (37:21):
I never hear him, but I forgot he was in here.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
But he's deaf. I don't know why he didn't hear something.
He saw something? Hey, buddy, what's he looking Max?

Speaker 8 (37:28):
Maybe he saw the scream truck and he wants some
ice cream?

Speaker 4 (37:31):
Got a ghost?

Speaker 5 (37:33):
No?

Speaker 4 (37:33):
No, no, he just sometimes you know how dogs are,
frog nose, they just explode and for no reason what
he's looking at though? He saw someone? Diamond, do you
think he's racist?

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Want to play?

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Do you have a racist dog?

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I have encountered them. Animals can be racist.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
No, no, Diamond, Diamond, you makes get along great?

Speaker 8 (37:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (37:54):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
I think you just realized there's someone in the next room.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Oh maybe Andrew Andrew and Oh he does hate Andrew
because Andrew signifies that he's going somewhere he doesn't want
to go.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
Andrew Andrew is my assistant. He used to take him
to the vet. Yeah, okay, so you're talking about explosive diarrhea.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Yes, just be careful with your produce. We know that
it's pretty bad right now. And there are plenty of
charts online where you can go and look at what
you should shouldn't eat and how much you need to
cook something before you actually eat it.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
Yeah, you can't really cook a salad.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
No, so stay away from that solar cook the.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
Duty off of it, just until it's gone.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Atoian Dog defense bill is being blocked by the Senate.
The National Defense Authorization Act needed sixty votes to pass
on Tuesday, but fell short after Democrats lined up against it.
For senators missed the vote, including Republican Mitch McConnell and
Kentucky and in Kentucky and Democrat John Fetterman of Pennsylvania.
The annual defense bill is usually passed with bipartisan effort,
but Democrats are reportedly blocking the bill to protest the

(38:52):
earon war.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Wow, Max is staring down Andrew like something fear.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
He knows what Andrew means.

Speaker 4 (38:59):
What's going on, what's going on in there?

Speaker 8 (39:01):
He's just staring at him.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Sorry, he would not like just trying to lock eyes,
I guess, but he's like staring him down. He wouldn't
move this entire time.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Not to be trusted. Last time, Andrew took him to
the vet. They ripped Max's balls out forget it back
to you love that.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
And finally the Mega Million's jackpot is rolling over again.
There was no grand prize winner last night, so the
next Strong on Friday will be worth at least six
hundred and seventy two million dollars. Ahead of that, there's
another big powerball drawing tonight with four hundred and ninety
eight million dollars on the line. And those are your
three things.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
We really do need that money. I know about you.
Thank you. We do have a thousand dollars free money
phone up on the way in like fifteen twenty minutes.

Speaker 7 (39:46):
Hang on, Oh my god, Elvis d ran in the
Morning show.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
Our iheard radio music track me to Elvister in the
Morning show. It's always one fun way of a dog
in the studio, like today, I got little Max in
because he has to go to the vet after the show,
and she brought him in. He's walking around, he's kind
of running the place. We're still waiting for him to

(40:13):
take a poop under Nate's stool. I'm waiting and the
last time I stepped in it. Remember I have the
video posted on my day. It was chaos, vomiting.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
Danielle was puking, Elvis was laughing, Nate was hopping on
one foot.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
I must assume as a parent, any fecal matter from
any being is sickening unless it's your own kid. Yeah,
I'm the same way with with Max, and I'm sure
you are with your dog as well. Frog. If it's
your dog's poo, you're not as repulsed unless it gets
under your fingernail. Then you're like, oh my.

Speaker 9 (40:49):
Gosh, REXI band's pooh is a little different than every
other pooh.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
It's just different.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Wait, So like, as a parent, your kid's little baby poops,
they never made you vomity, no gas, nothing, No, I
don't think so.

Speaker 8 (41:02):
Yeah, I don't think mine either, And that's surprising.

Speaker 5 (41:04):
Right.

Speaker 4 (41:05):
When I pin up my dog's pooh, it's usually with
a pooh bag or some tissue or something whatever. But
if it if it gets on my finger, I'm like,
I don't vomit. But if it was your dog or
your baby, I would vomit.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
Yeah, my dog, cleaning up after him sometimes used to
make me a little sick every now and then.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
Anyway we're on poop watch, we'd love to have a
stage of you dundunt dumb. Do you remember I asked
for that five minutes ago and I remember hearing you
were here for that, right, it's like dundunting.

Speaker 10 (41:38):
Have any of you ever like stepped in poop someplace
and then you're the one who brought it into a Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
The gym. Once I kept smelling poop and I was like,
someone smells like poop, And I looked at my shoe.

Speaker 4 (41:49):
I said, it is I my favorite thing. And if
you've done it, you can relate. Is you're walking on
the sidewalk and you step on poop and you kind
of slide for a few feet.

Speaker 8 (41:58):
Oh, it makes it.

Speaker 4 (42:00):
It makes it sound. Okay, we got poop watch, nothing
yet looking for the stool under the stool exactly.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
You waited so long for that.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Poop watch. I was overthinking it. Please don't overthink the
poop watch stager. You know, don't you remember was that
a squirrel? It was a It was a it was
a famous video or me groundhog. Yeah, it looks at

(42:38):
the camera. Anyway. I was reading this great story online today,
you know, the Today Show, down the Street at NBC,
at Today dot Com. I don't know where I find
these things. They're talking about bartenders, and you know, when
you go to a bar and you order a drink,
you need to stop and think about the person who's

(42:59):
serving this drink to you. They are a human being.
It's not just like a machine. You push a button
and a drink comes out. And they actually interviewed a
bartender and talked about, well, what are your thoughts about,
you know, bartending, And what this bartender said was, you
know what a lot of people think that if we're
serving you in a restaurant, that we're not educated, that

(43:20):
we're not we're not interested in anything that has that
holds any intellect in any any intellectual whatever, puddle a
puddle of intellect. I don't know, you know what I'm saying.
And so in this interview, he said, at the end
of his shift or she, a guy came in who
was blind and they started talking about science. Started talking.

(43:43):
He was a mechanical engineer actually in aerospace in Burbank, California.
Cool dude. They started talking about deep sea pressure, stuff
like that. And he goes on to say, I think
a lot of the time people go out to eat
or drink or whatever, and they see a service worker
and assume we're there because we're not educated or have
a degree.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
It's a crazy thought.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
It's a stupid thought.

Speaker 16 (44:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (44:02):
I always think of them as therapists. Oh god, you
know what I mean, Like, they're really smart. They're gonna
give me therapy. I'm gonna tell them my whole life
story and what's going on.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
They may not want that.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
I was in a restaurant when I was an intern
for radio, and there are so many different people from
so many different walks of life. Some people have walked
away from something like a very highly I guess acclaimed
career because they don't want that pressure anymore and they
want to take a step down to do something a
little bit easier. Some people are putting themselves through school.
Some people just want an easier life that's not constantly
nine to five grinding every day. It's not just you

(44:34):
didn't have an education.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
I tell you.

Speaker 8 (44:35):
Maybe they like to make cocktails. How about that?

Speaker 4 (44:38):
There is that? Yeah, you know there is, And that's
the science of cocktail working. And here in New York City,
if someone says that they're an actor, the first thing
you ask is what restaurant do you work?

Speaker 8 (44:48):
At Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
But also you know, if you've stopped and actually just
watched the bartenders at work, they are juggling so much,
especially on a busy night, and maybe they're they only
went behind the bar and they don't have a lot
to help watch them. I mean, they need seventeen more
arms to do all the things they need to do
at one time. And I think it's fascinating to watch them.
But at the same time, they are listening. Have you noticed.

(45:11):
You'll say something stupid, which we I'm known for doing,
and you'll see the bartender fifteen feet away look up
and go who said that? Yeah, they hear everything.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
I think it also makes you really socially intelligent and
aware of what's going on around you and how to
interact with people, which is a skill that many quote
unquote intelligent people do not have exactly.

Speaker 4 (45:30):
Another thing to keep in mind is if there's a
creeper at the bar, it's great to have a bartender
looking out for you. If some guy's trying to mess
with you and he sees it happening, or if you
give him a subtle sign or her a subtle sign,
he or she they they'll look out for you.

Speaker 8 (45:48):
They really do.

Speaker 4 (45:48):
So there's so much more going on there. So next
time you're at the bar or in a restaurant, or
someone is doing the service with you, remember there's something
really interesting and fascinating going on with that person.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
There, I said it.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
I think we should probably use that to think about
all the people in our lives too, that you encounter
every day. Just don't make assumptions about what you think
is happening we.

Speaker 4 (46:12):
Do it or wrong, or make assumptions that go over
the positive line. Assume that they know much more than
you know. Scary for instance, Lord he does he will
walk into a bar. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've
heard you say this. You actually prejudge bartenders if they
have too many tattoos and piercings, or if they have

(46:35):
a lot. They're like hitting the vape every once in
a while, because first.

Speaker 11 (46:39):
Of all, I mean, you've made some bad decisions in
your life if you have too many in bad places.

Speaker 8 (46:44):
I said, Okay, somebody likes tattoos.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
Have you met my boyfriend on wait?

Speaker 4 (46:51):
Wait, people make bad decisions into life and you can
tell because of the number of tattoos they have.

Speaker 11 (46:57):
Well, maybe where the placement on their body is because
they didn't think it through, you know.

Speaker 16 (47:00):
But like, but like I love good ink, I love art,
I call it art.

Speaker 4 (47:04):
I love uh tattoos.

Speaker 16 (47:06):
Let me try and back out of this partner space.
But I do you know, but if you pierce her,
if you pierce your like Sam.

Speaker 4 (47:15):
Sam Gandhi is a pierce nostril, Yeah, I got I
got to she made a bad decision.

Speaker 11 (47:21):
That's okay, that's cool. But like, you know, but like,
think of the placement of your tattoo. If you have
a neck tattoo, like who told you to get that?

Speaker 4 (47:28):
Or I know, but if I have a prince at Albert,
you're not gonna know I have that unless you're looking
at some guys dong.

Speaker 16 (47:33):
You're not gonna be judged because you know how to
hide it.

Speaker 10 (47:36):
You know, why would you want to hide it if
you're getting all tatted up because you love it and
it's an art form, maybe you want them all.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
Over your bought people to see those tattoos.

Speaker 16 (47:43):
Yeah, along the way, you made a conscious decision to
get something in a place.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
That what's wrong with that?

Speaker 11 (47:48):
Yeah, because no one's gonna take you seriously on a
serious job interview if you try and go for one.

Speaker 16 (47:53):
So, actually it's good to cover up those.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
I think that's wrong now. I think a lot of
times it's It's not the case anymore about this.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
If if I go into a job interview and they
truly judge me because of my ink, I don't know
if I really want to work for that person.

Speaker 16 (48:07):
So if you have a face tattoo, you know that's sir.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
We have great jobs, right, we have the best jobs ever.
Do you think a face tattoo would borrow somebody from
working here?

Speaker 8 (48:17):
Not here profession No, I think it would help him.
It would be very good.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
I think I'm gonna fire everyon unless you have a
face tattoo. Here's anthering. I'm gonna ask the same question
Gandhi asked you do you like working here?

Speaker 16 (48:30):
I love it?

Speaker 4 (48:30):
Oh god? Well we think how we say things? Oh damn,
I love you, scary.

Speaker 8 (48:40):
Gary, scary while you're behind Please.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
I just keep in mind that a lot of people
may be agreeing with you, but none of them are
in this room. Carl, this texter. I'm covered in tattoos.
I also vape, and I have a bachelor's degree and
a great job here's another text. He sounds like a boomer.

Speaker 9 (49:10):
Man.

Speaker 1 (49:11):
Oh boy, Yeah, Scary.

Speaker 4 (49:12):
Is about to be annihilated.

Speaker 18 (49:14):
L O L O L.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
And here's another one. Scary is right. There you go.

Speaker 16 (49:20):
What the conversation was. Do you prejudge a person? And
unfortunately I do.

Speaker 4 (49:25):
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 16 (49:26):
I'm not saying whether I was right or wrong.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
But no, no, no, you did.

Speaker 13 (49:31):
You.

Speaker 4 (49:31):
You gave us your thoughts. Don't don't back out of
that parking space as you say no. If you're going
to own it, own it, man, don't be wishy washing.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
I'm sure all of us have something that we judge
other people for that is probably not really great. Trying
to think what mine is. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Okay, let's let's just move on. This is we're in
some sort of pitch. Yeah, I do have ice cream
with the screen truck on the way.

Speaker 8 (49:54):
I'll get us out.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
We got that poop patrol. He hasn't pooped yet.

Speaker 8 (50:02):
I have to talk about ice creaming and poop in
the same sense.

Speaker 4 (50:05):
We do three things.

Speaker 8 (50:06):
Let's not do that.

Speaker 4 (50:07):
Do we do three things? Yeah, it's so long ago.

Speaker 18 (50:11):
The whole thing.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
What we do for another one? That's right, turns it off.
All right, Well, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
I'll do it again.

Speaker 4 (50:17):
If you what is this from Garrett? Sounds that make
you poop?

Speaker 8 (50:20):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (50:22):
Sounds that make you poop?

Speaker 4 (50:24):
I guess this sound scientifically has been proven scientifically to
make you want to poop? Do I dare I play this?

Speaker 17 (50:31):
Is it the brown?

Speaker 6 (50:31):
No?

Speaker 4 (50:32):
I don't know what it is? But do we meet
in plain this? With this big explosive diarrhea thing going
on right now? I kind of want to hear it, though, Garrett,
you got to think ahead. There's it a big diarrhea
explosion going on across America. I can't be playing sounds
that make people pooh? Is that really responsible broadcasting?

Speaker 6 (50:50):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (50:51):
When do we do that?

Speaker 6 (50:52):
Here?

Speaker 4 (50:52):
It is right here by the way text us at
fifty five one hundred. If this makes you poop? Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
It sounds like he's a weight.

Speaker 4 (51:06):
I'm cramping up a little bit.

Speaker 8 (51:07):
I feel like my butt reacted a little bit to that.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
Is that wrong?

Speaker 8 (51:11):
Do it again?

Speaker 4 (51:12):
Put the headphones on, Max? Oh, but that's right, he's deaf.
Sounds squishy, it doesn't It sounds like a digital pool?
Are all right? Poo Patrol.

Speaker 1 (51:37):
Okay, we did watch him run away from Andrew in
the hallway and that was cute.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
I love this. Text bookstores make you poop. Yeah, it
is proven when you go to the bookstore you have
to poop.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
Why why there is the thing about the smell of
a bookstore Apparently that makes people have to go to
the bathroom want to look at up?

Speaker 4 (51:52):
Is that why when every year in elementary school when
we had the schoolastic book Fair, I had to poo.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
Apparently it's a mind body phenomenon. It's a reaction called
the Marico Aoki phenomenon.

Speaker 4 (52:04):
He's my favorite DJ.

Speaker 8 (52:08):
That's Steve Aoki. That's different.

Speaker 1 (52:12):
It's apparently because they're quiet and comforting, the relaxing environment
can activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which sympathetic signals your
brain that it's safe to really spodily waste. Okay, people
read on the toilet.

Speaker 8 (52:26):
And I must be pooping all the time because you.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
Know me, I love a good book and then the
paper ink, the scent of paper and coffee and coffee.

Speaker 4 (52:34):
Okay, we really need to take a break. I've got
ice cream on the way for you because you've been
good kids, even you scary. You get ice cream today?

Speaker 1 (52:41):

Speaker 8 (53:20):
Yeah, it does.

Speaker 4 (53:22):

that because five gum is no. I'm saying because it's true.

Speaker 8 (53:53):

Speaker 6 (53:54):
It is?

Speaker 4 (53:55):
And you know, and I feel I feel more alert,
I feel smarter.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
For some reason, I think we should all just chew
gum in general, because of all these benefits that I'm
reading about right now.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
I mean, it is true that E equals mc squared.

Speaker 1 (54:10):
You finally understand it.

Speaker 4 (54:11):
Can we just talk about the Marie montessory theory or
precognitive journey for just a moment. No, you don't need
to be smarter five gum not allowed. You're smart enough

Speaker 4 (55:23):
Okay, here is your five gum free money phone tap.

Speaker 7 (55:26):
Don't answer the phone, Elvis durand Elvis Duran's phone.

Speaker 4 (55:29):
Tap, Garrett, what's the phone tap about today?

Speaker 6 (55:31):
Oh?

Speaker 20 (55:32):
Well, Brett is playing a phone tap on his girlfriend Lindsay. Now,
Lindsay's she had a job and she lost it unfortunately,
so she's been trying to get back into the grind
of trying to find a job. So Brett thought, you know,
why not, you know, offer her a job. Let's see
what happens on today's phone tap.

Speaker 11 (55:49):
Hello, what are you doing?

Speaker 17 (55:51):
Just touching TV and just kind of looking at stuff online?

Speaker 13 (55:56):
And I actually have some good news for you. Oh
what Earlier today, I actually ran into one of the
human resources uh managers at my job and they're actually
interested in interviewing you and possibly getting you a job.

Speaker 17 (56:12):
Well, I tried to find a job, and it's just
I really feel like I need a break, you know,
from them.

Speaker 13 (56:18):
I see. That's the thing is that I don't want
you to take me the wrong way. I just yea,
I gave him your phone number. He's gonna probably give
you a calling.

Speaker 17 (56:25):
She's a really hard position in putting me in.

Speaker 13 (56:27):
I don't I don't know, no, no, no, just see
what he has to say. Pretty much, you have the job.
If you want it and you like it, you have
the job. It's not that you know it wouldn't be
something there, Uh, you know what, To be honest with you,
he didn't say. He didn't really say. He has a
couple of various jobs. I'm sure he can go through
like a list of different you know, openings that they have.
You know, I got to run back into a meeting.

(56:49):
But I'll give you a call a little bit later
to see how it went.

Speaker 17 (56:51):
All right, all right, I promise, yes, I just said
I'd take a call.

Speaker 13 (56:58):
I'll talk to you a little bit later, okay, Baye bye, Lindsey.

Speaker 4 (57:06):
Please, this is Lindsay.

Speaker 12 (57:08):

Speaker 4 (57:09):

Speaker 20 (57:12):

for a job right now, and uh, I am glad
to tell you that we have a position that we'd

Speaker 4 (57:22):

Speaker 17 (57:24):

not really sure.

Speaker 20 (57:32):
Did he tell you what the job was? No, it's
actually to be a porter in our building. What a porter,
I'm are you familiar?

Speaker 17 (57:42):
What are you talking about? Like a dorm? I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (57:45):
No, the office janitor, the janitor. Yeah, I think you'd
be perfect for the job.

Speaker 17 (57:51):
No, I mean this is ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (57:55):
I'm not going to put you on the same floor
as Brett.

Speaker 5 (57:57):
No.

Speaker 20 (57:59):
Well, no, well he said you were good at unclogging toilets,
and he said that you were very qualified for this job.

Speaker 17 (58:06):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 4 (58:08):
You know what I'm gonna I'm gonna give you some
time and maybe and maybe you.

Speaker 14 (58:11):
Don't need to give me time. I'm telling you very
clearly right now.

Speaker 17 (58:17):
Hello, Hey, I swear to God I will strangle you.

Speaker 14 (58:21):
What are you thinking?

Speaker 13 (58:23):
What am I thinking?

Speaker 14 (58:25):
What are you thinking for suggesting me for a janitor position?

Speaker 13 (58:29):
So you're not going to come in for the interview?

Speaker 17 (58:31):
No, no, I'm not coming in for the interview.

Speaker 14 (58:36):
Well, your bathroom tiles is bad enough. All I do
around here is clean up after your mess. All I
want and expect me to come in and clean up
after all your workers with you?

Speaker 13 (58:47):
Can you just go into the interview you so you're
not even going to consider the job?

Speaker 1 (58:54):
No, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 14 (58:58):
How many I've got to say it?

Speaker 10 (59:00):
Wow?

Speaker 20 (59:02):
Hey, Lindsay, my name's Garrett from Elvis durn In the
Morning Show. And you just got phone tapped?

Speaker 14 (59:10):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 13 (59:11):
Go you take a job?

Speaker 17 (59:17):
Whatever?

Speaker 7 (59:19):
Elvis Rand's phone tap?

Speaker 4 (59:22):
Nate, love that phone tap?

Speaker 6 (59:25):
You like that?

Speaker 4 (59:26):
That's a good phone tap? Right, Okay, look at I've
never seen you so entertainment the phone tap?

Speaker 1 (59:37):
Did he inhale something that we didn't know?

Speaker 4 (59:39):
What do you want?

Speaker 15 (59:40):
So there you go?

Speaker 4 (59:44):

He keeps saying, we love five gum, Yeah, we love Yeah, Okay,
give give all the money to your husband. He's great.
Thank you so much for listening.

Speaker 6 (01:00:45):
Mary.

Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
What's your husband's name?

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Leo?

Speaker 18 (01:00:48):

Speaker 9 (01:00:49):

Speaker 18 (01:01:09):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
This is Drazzy Drake.

Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
He is is Stemmy LaVar with Elvis Duran in the
Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (01:01:15):
On America's Darkest Day ninety eleven, America vowed to never
forget help our nation keep that promise. Donate eleven dollars
a month and amplify your impact with a car or
Land donation. Go to T two T dot org. That's
T the number two T.

Speaker 20 (01:01:31):
It is ninety one thousand, damn degrees dangerously high temperatures today,
temperature temperatures creak toward triple digits, the record breaking heat away.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
I am not tropical, I'm not a damn too can
this is too much.

Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
Your oppressive heat is there once again.

Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
Okay, I'm sorry. Wedding and oh.

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
I asked the Lord to make it warm.

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
I did not say bring the devil from hell and
have him sit his ass crack on earth.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Tell mister Wim in.

Speaker 11 (01:02:01):
The Morning show.

Speaker 4 (01:02:02):
Yeah, it's one of those days. You can look out
the window and it looks hot, even though you know
you're in the air conditioning. It looks hot out there.
It's gonna be feeling like ninety something one hundred and
something in New York City today. Already kind of sweaty. Betty.
You know Danielle was at the vet the other day
with her her Fred the cat, Yeah, Fred the cat,

(01:02:25):
and uh, you noticed something going on and it wasn't
even nearly this hot today.

Speaker 10 (01:02:29):
You were there, right, Nope, it was crazy because there
were a lot of dogs that were coming in and
some of them, unfortunately, were coming in and they were
already gone, they already passed away, and it was all
heat stroke. People did not understand why they shouldn't be
walking their dogs in almost a hundred degree weather for
that long.

Speaker 8 (01:02:50):
Amount of time.

Speaker 10 (01:02:51):
And then a lot of times the dogs get overheated,
and so the owners were like, well, I'll just cool
them down, and then they cool them down too quickly,
and then things start happening with their organs and everything
shuts down, and by the time I'm not even kidding you,
I was there for a couple of hours with Fred.
There were five dogs that came in with heat stroke.

(01:03:13):
Three of them passed.

Speaker 8 (01:03:14):
Away while I was there. It was and these were
large dogs.

Speaker 10 (01:03:18):
A lot of the dogs that I was seeing were
really really big, and they were trying to explain to
the owners, like did you go for a walk for
a long period of time And some of the owners
were like, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:03:28):
We always do. And then and then I cooled them
down and they were.

Speaker 10 (01:03:31):
Like, well that's where you made the mistake. So yeah,
it was ugh, you do not you know, go out
peepee quickly come back inside when it's like this, Do
not spend a lot of time outside with.

Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
Your animal, right, dog, you've heard all of this, right, yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:03:45):
Absolutely. We had a vet tell us if you're gonna
walk a dog on these days. You need to walk
them early in the morning or very late in the evening,
and it's still hot. Even when the sun goes down,
it's still hot. But the key thing, like Danielle said,
is we think that when we have had when we're hot, Remember,
we can sweat.

Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
They can't.

Speaker 9 (01:04:02):
They can't expel water the way that we can, so
we drink a lot of water when.

Speaker 4 (01:04:05):
We get hot.

Speaker 9 (01:04:06):
That's the worst thing you can do is try to
cool them down really fast. It sends their system into
shock and they just don't make it all right.

Speaker 8 (01:04:12):
Well, it was awful.

Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
I heard that the best thing to do is put
some ice on their belly and their paws. I've never
heard that.

Speaker 6 (01:04:21):
I don't.

Speaker 9 (01:04:21):
I always see a dog lay on a tile floor.
They lay out really flat on the top floatcause that
baffloor's cool.

Speaker 4 (01:04:27):
Yeah, that's what I do. You know, I've seen you
do that. That's true. That's sure. You know those mornings
I'm talking about, it's like after a long night, you're like, oh,
where's mattyle. Anyway, they are our best friends, and yeah,
we need to just remember that they are not people. Yep,
they are dogs. They are cats, and you know, keep

(01:04:49):
that in mind. Thanks for letting us in on that
story and sharing that. And that's so sad. That's so
sad for those families that brought them.

Speaker 8 (01:04:56):
It was awful.

Speaker 10 (01:04:56):
I don't even I can't even explain these poor people,
they were so upset, but everybody it was actually Veg
Veg the Animal hospital and they're amazing and they were
trying so hard to save all of these pets. I mean,
it was incredible to watch, but unfortunately, you know, some
of them did not make it.

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
We've discussed this before and I'll bring it again, and
I don't have the facts in front of me, but
I the gist of what I learned from a story
I read not too long ago. If you work at
a veterinarian's office and you work in the world of
pet care in an emergency situation, especially, it can be very,
very very draining. It can be very oh yeah, sad

(01:05:36):
and depressing. And they're saying that if you have a
friend who is working for a vet always got to
look out for them, seeing how they're doing, because you
know they what they see every day is it brings
them into a dark place.

Speaker 10 (01:05:52):
I actually asked them about that. I said, I do
not know how you guys do this every single day.
And they were like, yeah, it's not always easy. I mean,
some days it's great, but some days it's not. It's
not easy. And they said, you know the day that
I was there and five dogs were brought and they said,
that was a slow day for days like that where
it's that hot, which is I can't even imagine what

(01:06:13):
they see.

Speaker 8 (01:06:14):
I can't even imagine.

Speaker 4 (01:06:15):
All right, So take care of them because they are
our best friends. Yes, what else are we gonna get to? Oh?
You know, my friend Eric, Eric is on the way
in from screen truck. Eric Murphy, the mastermind behind this
incredible big pink ice cream truck phenomenon, fantastic new product

(01:06:36):
he wants to talk about in a few minutes. Also
with the big announcement, we're going to show up on
some new streets in a state that's south of US.
There are many states south of US. Delaware would be nice,
not Delaware. Further further, you're getting hotter Georgia, You're getting

(01:06:59):
hot Florida. I didn't say that. Okay, Oh that's so cool,
all right, So that's happening. Also from the world famous
Caroline's Comedy Club here in New York City. It hasn't
been opened in a while, but Caroline's Comedy Club is
just as crazy fun as ever. They're bringing us the
New York City Comedy Festival this year. She's going to

(01:07:23):
be in a little bit to talk about all of
the comedians and what comedy is all about this in
this day and age. Also, you told me something really
weird a second ago, Condy, Yeah, remember about it? Was
it a year ago you talked about this wacky friend
of yours that said something really out of control?

Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
It was, uh, he was a few months ago. But yeah, okay, yeah, yeah,
she's awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:07:43):
What she said.

Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
She told me when I saw her last that I
needed to save the date for her wedding October thirty. First,
she's getting married. Yeah, but this was only a few
months ago and she was not engaged. So I was like, wait,
you're going to plan all of this and you're going
to be engaged, and I need to save the date
by October. Usually weddings take a year, if not more,

(01:08:04):
to plan. She said, No, I've already been planning it.
As soon as soon as he proposes, and I know
he's going to I'll be.

Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
Ready to go so she told you to save the date.
She gave you the date to say, she made me put.

Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
It in my calendar. She watched me put it into
my calendar, so I saved us. Okay, cool, great, no problem.
She got engaged yesterday.

Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Wow. Yeah, wow, So she created this.

Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
She manifested it. Yes, the secret, the secret, Ye, she did.
She's so happy and I'm happy for them. They're awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
Well no, it's all funny games now. But when you
told us the story originally, you're like, gosh, she is
screwed in the head.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Well, I knew that they would get engaged, like he's
obsessed with her, he loves her. I was surprised they
weren't engaged already. I was just very shocked at the
fact that she had started booking everything without it having happened.
But she was, you know, very short, it's gonna happen,
and it did well.

Speaker 4 (01:08:48):
But at least at that time she was dating this
guy who was crazy about her, So you knew that
there was an engagement on the way. How many people
do you know that actually go out and they buy
a dress. Oh, and they don't even have it. They're
not even dating anyone.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
A woman I used to work with. I was about
to say who it was.

Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
I will not say your name.

Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
Nope, I just used to work with her. She bought
her wedding dress before there was any engagement, and she
bought her own engagement ring as well.

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Is she engaged or did she ever get married? Yes? Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
She handed him the engagement ring when he proposed and
was like, this is the one used. This one.

Speaker 4 (01:09:22):
God just ed water and stir Well, there you go.
So is there somebody something to be said for creating
the situation?

Speaker 8 (01:09:31):
I think yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
I think everybody's. It's different with everyone, right, because if
you are in a relationship and you think this is
actually gonna work, Yes, we're on the same page and great,
it's all wonderful, or you're a lunatic.

Speaker 4 (01:09:43):
Guess it's you know, well, you're a lunatic until it
comes true, then you I guess.

Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
So there you go, just like everything else, tell.

Speaker 4 (01:09:48):
Her congratulations, I will God, I have a list. I
think I have a list to give her to make
true for me.

Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
If you can't a billion dollars, that's all I need.

Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
Create it for all of us. Let's go round the room.
What's on the minds of that are in this room, foggy,
you're in a room, and that that counts. What's on
your mind to that?

Speaker 6 (01:10:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:10:05):
So yesterday, uh, we cooked and at the end I
started doing dishes. I'm at least sitting there watching me
do the dishes.

Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
We get done. She goes, you didn't have to do that.

Speaker 9 (01:10:15):
I'm like, what is that another to do it? Why
do you tell me that when I started? Why do
you wait until somebody's done doing something and then say
to them, oh, you didn't.

Speaker 6 (01:10:22):
Have to do that.

Speaker 4 (01:10:25):
Exactly so that you didn't have to do that. It's
just the obligatory way of Sam. Thank you. I'm really
glad you did it. You don't mean that. If you
don't want somebody to do something, tell them right when
they start, not when they're finished. Okay, yeah, yeah, she's
so sweet. She didn't she didn't think I had to
do that. Yeah, she did exact absolutely, she wanted me
to do that. You were you watched me do it
more happy the whole time I did it? Hey, scary,

(01:10:46):
what's up with you?

Speaker 11 (01:10:47):
I was at the bar with my friends the other
day and a group of people in their early thirties
walks in and the one dude walks up to the bar,
grabs a beer and shotguns it, and I'm like, how
old is too old to be shot gunning a beer?

Speaker 4 (01:11:00):
The guy had to be thirty two. Shotgun to the grave? Baby,
you shotgun at twenty two but not thirty. It was
so awkward.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Who have you ever been doing tailgate? They're like sixty
two doing that?

Speaker 8 (01:11:12):
Turn the beer.

Speaker 16 (01:11:13):
If you don't know shotgunning, you've turned it beer on
your side.

Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
He took a key. We know how it works. But
why is there an age limit on that.

Speaker 16 (01:11:18):
Suck the beer out of the side of it because
it looks weird?

Speaker 20 (01:11:20):
I just I was.

Speaker 4 (01:11:22):
I think I'm not judging, but that is that is
a pure case of judge. More of a question is
it is?

Speaker 16 (01:11:29):
Is there an age limit on shotgunning a beer? That's all.

Speaker 8 (01:11:32):
That's a question.

Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
I don't think so well.

Speaker 4 (01:11:35):
I bet there are people who agree with you. There's
always a couple of jobs out there that degree with
the stuff you say.

Speaker 16 (01:11:40):
So let's all, let's all shotgun a beer later and
see if it's weird.

Speaker 4 (01:11:43):
Well, I'm not saying I want it.

Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
I don't like doing it, but I never did.

Speaker 4 (01:11:46):
The question wasn't do I like the shotgun a beer?
Your question was, is there an age limit?

Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
Okay, I don't think so. It's just like if somebody
said there's an age limit on going to the clurb. Oh,
there's not.

Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
You can always get turned in the clurb. What's up, Dan?
What are you thinking about today?

Speaker 10 (01:12:01):
Did you guys know that Lenny Kravitz works out in
leather pants?

Speaker 17 (01:12:05):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (01:12:05):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
I thought of that? That's going to be disgusting.

Speaker 8 (01:12:08):
He's I didn't get it.

Speaker 10 (01:12:10):
But he was doing an interview with Men's Health and
he says, I perform on stage in leather, denim whatever,
so those are the pants I wear to train. And
then he said it also means I can work out
any time anywhere because I'm already dressed and he's already
ready to go.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
So I don't know.

Speaker 8 (01:12:27):
That's kind of why.

Speaker 6 (01:12:28):
You know.

Speaker 8 (01:12:29):
I mean, the guy's in great shape, right, and he's
what sixty two years old?

Speaker 5 (01:12:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (01:12:33):
You know what, whatever he's doing, he's doing it right.
That's that just sounds rude.

Speaker 4 (01:12:37):
It just smells yeah, I'm sure it smells great. I'm sorry.
The thing is it's Lenny Kravit, so he's already hot
at least he's how they're going for Hey, straight, Nate,
what's up with you have an apology to make? Elvis? Yeah,
go ahead, very sorry. At one point you came in
here and some of hard just started and you had
a buzz cut, and he said, I got a summer cut,
and I went, ruh, you made fun of me. Seven.

(01:13:00):
I got a summer haircut yesterday, and it feels so good. Oh,
you can go a lot shorter. I could go shorter,
a crew cut.

Speaker 12 (01:13:06):
I could.

Speaker 8 (01:13:07):
I could.

Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
Short haircut in summer. I'm sorry, ladies, if you have
to do I know, Gandhi, you just got to hear it.
But it feels good to get a little bit of
that waiting volume out right. Yeah, you look really good.
Thank you. I appreciate it. And so I'm I'm sorry
that I made funny summer. Just look at me? Did
you think I really gave a ratsass? But I will
tell you that I'm going to get one done today

(01:13:30):
because too much hair save it. I'm going to get
it all out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:13:34):
I'm just going to get mad at you. She does
not like when people cut their hair. She just told me, well, scary,
what do you got for me?

Speaker 4 (01:13:40):
What do you want uh, Lenny Kravitch Quick, I got
a couple of minutes here, but let's finish up with Gandhi, Gandhi.
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:13:47):
Okay? That song Dancing in the Moonlight? Love it? You've
all heard the light? Everybody? Okay. So there were a
couple of times over vacation where I saw a beautiful
moon and I took a picture and that was a
song that I used, and a bunch of people DMed me.
Do you know the history of this song?

Speaker 8 (01:14:03):
Do you guys know it?

Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
There's a history.

Speaker 6 (01:14:05):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
It's dark? I had no idea. It sounds happy, it
sounds happy. The man who wrote it wrote it while
he was recovering in the hospital from being attacked by
a gang that beat him with baseball bats and did
horrible things to his girlfriend while they were on the beach,
and he wrote the song as an alternate utopia to
what had happened to him.

Speaker 6 (01:14:25):
It was deep.

Speaker 4 (01:14:26):
Oh my god, I goosebumps because that song's played on
since I was a kid.

Speaker 1 (01:14:29):
It's such a pretty song and it's such a cute
happy Oh my gosh. But nope, when you hear the
history behind it, oh my god, you sings dancing in
the moonlight, Sherman Kelly, Well, I don't know if he sings.
Sherman Kelly is the person who wrote it.

Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
Okay, yeah, oh my god, nuts, because it is such
a happy song. You can see how that is the
opposite of exact what they call. Yeah, all right, let
me give you some stinky but we love them sexy
Lenny Kravitz. What a great song for summer.

Speaker 1 (01:15:01):
This is Elvis Durant in the Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (01:15:04):
Yes it is, hey, so they're saying, I feel the
real field temperature in New York today is one hundred
and over all hundred. But you know what, back in
the day, when I was scoop and ice cream at
the old Baskin Robins, we sold as much ice cream
on freezing days as we did on hot days. It

(01:15:25):
really had nothing to do with the temperature outside I
eat at any time. Well, that's why we're so excited.
My friend, my partner, Eric Murphy is here, the owner
and mind behind scream Truck. Yes, okay, your ego's a
little out of control. First of all, I'd like to
thank you for blowing the big announcement. I heard it

(01:15:46):
at six forty five this morning. I didn't blow any who,
I didn't blow anything.

Speaker 1 (01:15:52):
And then again the last break right, Okay, so we
have no announcement anymore.

Speaker 8 (01:15:58):
We have a big I didn't say what it was.

Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
I didn't say exactly what it was. Okay, okay, let
me just send the record straight. Just everyone knows. Eric
and an incredible team of people put together this an
amazing ice cream truck extravagance called Scream Truck, and it's
roaring through New Jersey right now, and it's taking over
other areas quickly, Vegas, Vegas, and then Miami. You ruined

(01:16:21):
my announcement. No, you already said it. Okay, So since
we're having we have the big announcement, and now which
one is? Oh my god, here it is right here,
and now the big.

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
Announcement, Okay, the big announcement. Part of it is that
we're going to be starting in South Florida soon. Yes,
But the bigger announcement is Scream Truck squared. Can anyone
guess what that might be?

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Well?

Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
I could, because I know what it is.

Speaker 1 (01:16:52):
Double the scream truck, one on top of the other.

Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
No, no, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:16:57):
So we have actually taken real soft serve ice cream
and we blast freeze it into a square, into a
one inch square.

Speaker 4 (01:17:06):
We use these in Sundays.

Speaker 3 (01:17:08):
Now we do our screamy sodas, which are basically like
a dirty soda, but instead of like weird cream in it,
we do actual soft serve ice cream and soft served
cubes in the soda.

Speaker 4 (01:17:18):
And then we do a scream.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Shaker, which is basically liquid soft serve ice cream, and
then you have the cubes that go into that and
you shake it up like a cocktail and it creates
this amazing, really decadent drink.

Speaker 4 (01:17:33):
He's an evil scientist too. Yes, all right, right, and
by the way, this is real ice cream. When you
say soft serve of people, think of that thing that
is not ice cream. Does anyone know what constitutes real
ice cream? Say it ten percent milk fat?

Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
It's actually by the FDA, you cannot call it ice
cream unless you have ten percent milk.

Speaker 4 (01:17:50):
You just describe my body. Yes, so, okay, so you
are real ice cream. But sometimes the truck will come
down the street. That's not ice cream. No, okay, So
this is stream scream truck. By the way, go online
right now, do a search for scream truck.

Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
Yes, scream Truck scream truck dot com. You can see
our new squares menu on the website right now. But
I want to give you do you know when people
blast freeze like fish, like sushi grade fish, when they
catch that fish, it's actually frozen within like an hour
of catching it. They freeze it down really fast and
they keep at it like forty forty below. So this

(01:18:26):
is the same theory. We're taking ice cream out of
a soft served machine and then we're blast freezing it
really fast so that there's no ice crystal formulation. So
there it's still really creamy and it's it's an amazing
You're gonna taste it now, Okay, well let's go so Matt.
Matt's here with me. He's gonna give you, guys, just
one square to taste. You pop it in your mouth
like a little snack.

Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
All right, This is ice cream is not gonna eat itself.

Speaker 5 (01:18:50):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
Can we pick our flavors, so we So that's the
other thing, so we can do. Normally on a truck,
we only have chocolate and vanilla because there's one machine
on the truck. Now we can do all sorts of flavors.
So today we rot vanilla chocolate and strawberry. Okay, like,
but then a split yes yes, and and then once
you taste this, we're gonna make you guys all. You
can pick what you want, a Sunday, a square Sunday,

(01:19:13):
a screamy soda, or a scream shaker.

Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
You can pick your poison. Okay, I'm ready to go.
All right. While you're preparing, you have ice cream questions,
ice cream thoughts. I know that Gandhi had something she
wanted to yes, debate vanilla, Yeah, vanilla.

Speaker 1 (01:19:30):
So we have this this argument all the time because
I think vanilla is the most boring flavor ever. But
I know you had told us that vanilla actually is
the most popular. It's selling the most.

Speaker 4 (01:19:41):
Vanilla out sells chocolate by five to one.

Speaker 1 (01:19:45):
But I need to Actually, I don't need you to
support it, I just have. So My theory is people
get vanilla because it's a better vehicle to put other
things on than chocolate. So it is the most boring
because you have to add stuff to it. That's true,
where it's chocolate is just great on its own and
you don't have to add stuff to it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:06):
The funny thing is we do a lot of specialty Sundays.
We do a lot of seasonal stuff, and the funny
thing is a lot of people just go back to
what they know. So most people get like vanilla or
cookies and cream or just something kind of generic. A
lot of people don't buy the more extravagant things that
we create because they're just they're afraid of it. They're like, oh,
I haven't had that before.

Speaker 1 (01:20:26):
So so vanilla is safe and boring, which is what
I've been trying to say for quite not.

Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
I like chocolate better.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
Yeah, Eric, So real quick, when you eat that square,
you'll notice there's it's a firm square right now, right,
so there's a texture to it, though if you bite
into it, it's kind of it has a different texture,
but within about a minute or two, that tempers into
exactly like sauce.

Speaker 4 (01:20:46):
So it needs to melt down like a hair a hare. Okay, okay,
So the boys here, the boys being Nate, Scary and
Scotty b they are fans of chocolate milk. Oh, creamy
chocolate milk. That chocolate square, that chocolate square, I just
ate is it's chocolate, you can call it chocolate milk.

Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
So the hold on the scream shaker is basically like
a really rich chocolate milk, and it has the squares
in it, so it gets like even more creamy and
decadent as you drink it.

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
This just in on the text messages that scream truck
dude has a voice for radio. By the way, that's funny.
Eric used to work here at the one hundred years
ago I did he did? I miss it. It tastes
like it tastes like chocolate milk.

Speaker 1 (01:21:31):
It's almost like the inside of a Mochi ball, though
way better.

Speaker 4 (01:21:34):
Yeah, exactly, you're the inside of a Mochi ball.

Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
I don't know what that means.

Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
It's an evolving eating experience. So you're basically getting it
when it's firm and frosty when you first get it
out of the truck, and then within a minute or
two it's going down to that soft served texture.

Speaker 4 (01:21:49):
This tastes like ice cream of Yesteryear.

Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Right.

Speaker 4 (01:21:53):
This tastes like the ice cream when I was a kid. Oh,
it is a great thing because I think now it's
all like that you care gens and stuff. Okay, Yesteryear.
Yeah from him, it's a compliment because Nate lives in
the past.

Speaker 16 (01:22:08):
Food doesn't taste as good as it used to.

Speaker 4 (01:22:11):
This is actually a true example of that. This tastes
like food when you food tasted like food.

Speaker 3 (01:22:16):
Most food now is going through the same distributors, like
three different companies, So everyone says, now all food whether
you go to a high end restaurant or a you know, bodega,
basically it's all the same. So everything's starting to taste
the pay pay amount different. By the way, uh Froggies
in Tampa, Danielle's and Q two in Philadelphia. They're very

(01:22:36):
mad at us right now.

Speaker 4 (01:22:39):
It's really good. Hold on, I forgot.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
The best benefit to this is actually when you put
a normal soft served Sunday in the freezer, what happens.
It collapses and it turns into like a brick. Like
you actually put these in your freezer and it will
survive your freezer, unlike you know, typical soft serve straight
out of the.

Speaker 10 (01:22:59):
So you guys could save something for me in the
freezer with my name on it, and I could eat
it tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:23:04):
They'll eat Danielle, thank you.

Speaker 16 (01:23:06):
This is high quality ingredients right here.

Speaker 4 (01:23:10):
Look at Nate. Nate's licking the chocolate square like it's
a It looks like he's on a date. I need
a spoon, all right, So Matt is here with me.
Matt is one of our premiere screamers. Oh no, that's
not a good string tuckers.

Speaker 11 (01:23:28):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
And he is the master at making all these things.
So we're gonna make you a few things. We're gonna
make you a scream a square Sunday, which is going
to be cake and ice cream, so it's like a
traditional old school cake and ice cream Sunday. We're gonna
make you a scream shaker. You can either do cookie
butter or you can do peanut butter cookie what. And
then we're gonna do a screamy soda, which would either

(01:23:49):
be a a ring pop soda with squares in it,
like vanilla squares in it, or a traditional root beer.

Speaker 4 (01:23:57):
Yeah. I'm so excited. Only Matt can do it. He
did you learn how to make your own Sundays? I
mean I try.

Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
He's drawing with it's ice cream, right, yeah, well that's
that's actually marshmallow sauce. He's doing the sauce. So the
square Sunday he's making is there's a cupcake in it,
or two cupcakes, either chocolate or vanilla.

Speaker 4 (01:24:20):
Put some sprinkles in there. Yep, they're not called Jimmy's scary. Yeah,
that's a bad word. God, he's from benson Hurst, Brooklyn.
It's Matt. You better speed up here. We don't have time.
Let's go be nice. So okay, so okay. Any other
questions from thought? I have vanilla questions. I know we
discussed it a minute ago. Go ahead. Why is there

(01:24:42):
vanilla bean? French vanilla and home style just different.

Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Vanilla bean is a much more pure vanilla taste. A
regular vanilla doesn't have that bean in it, so it's
like a lighter vanilla taste. And the I don't know,
French vanilla is a French vanilla richer. Yeah, French vanilla
is just I think it's more egg in it. Actually,
oh maybe not ustard. That's custard.

Speaker 4 (01:25:05):
I learned that. I learned that a basket Robbins. Okay,
it was scary.

Speaker 16 (01:25:10):
That was my question.

Speaker 11 (01:25:11):
You might or might not have answered this earlier. But
what is the difference between frozen custard and swaft serve
ice cream?

Speaker 4 (01:25:16):
Is it the milky.

Speaker 2 (01:25:19):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (01:25:19):
There you go, Eggs and eggs and custard. No eggs
in soft serve ice cream. Real quick.

Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
Here's a good one.

Speaker 13 (01:25:24):
Better.

Speaker 4 (01:25:25):
You know people who are like I love ice.

Speaker 3 (01:25:27):
Cream, but when I eat soft served, for some reason,
I like, it gives me a stomach ache.

Speaker 4 (01:25:31):
Oh it makes me pooh. Do you know why?

Speaker 3 (01:25:33):
Because it has Those people aren't cleaning their machines, so
you're getting the bacteria.

Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
Okay, So how is scream trug different. Do we clean
our machines? Good God, I hope you say yes, scrub
them down. So we take our machine apart completely. We
disassemble everything and clean it once a week, and it
takes about three hours to do it on each machine.
Because I thought it was a chemical that they had
in soft serve that keeps it solid and that's what

(01:25:58):
makes you makes you no poop. Nope, look at Oh
my god, Matt, this is a it's a work of art.
Get out. What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
Let's do it for for scurious and see likes the chocolate,
and let's do it a shaker with chocolate and do
you like?

Speaker 4 (01:26:17):
Do you want just straight chocolate? Okay, go get chocolate.
You need to put your fingers in my Sunday. Get
out of here. Get square, No, you can do that,
Go get spoon, get a spoon. My god, you raised
my wolves. So just to be clear, this is one
truck we're doing right now.

Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
We have fifteen trucks in north of New Jersey, we
have trucks in Vegas now, and we will have trucks
soon in South Florida. So if you, if you live
in South Florida, sign up at scream truck dot com.
We will actually text you when we're coming to your
neighborhood and then you reply why for yes, and you
reserve a stop at your house, you pre order and.

Speaker 4 (01:26:53):
We okay, don't talk. This is very important. No matter
where you live in this great country of ours, you
need to go to a scream truck dot com and
you need to request that we bring trucks to you.

Speaker 12 (01:27:07):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:27:07):
And a lot of a lot of towns already have us.
A lot of towns most towns don't. And now I
think we're gonna roll into Broward County and uh then
roll roll down through South Florida. You gotta you gotta
text us. You have to go to uh scream truck
dot com and say come to us now. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:27:22):
When you sign up, it's basically you saying we want
you to come to our neighborhood. So get all your
neighbors to sign up. The more people that sign up,
the more we will be there. I love this cake.
Who made the who made the cake?

Speaker 4 (01:27:32):
Is it good?

Speaker 2 (01:27:33):
So good?

Speaker 4 (01:27:34):
What do you mean it's good? You sell it? We
have to take a break. Okay, Scary, You're gonna love this.

Speaker 1 (01:27:40):
I just want to rot do some of those squares.

Speaker 4 (01:27:42):
What is he making for you, Scary?

Speaker 16 (01:27:44):
A chocolate shaker?

Speaker 4 (01:27:46):
Is that what it's called.

Speaker 3 (01:27:47):
So it's basically our soft serve mix liquid, So before
it would go into a soft serve machine and then
we put the squares in it, which are around ten below,
so we shake it like a cocktail, so it makes
it like super cold and you're basically drinking your ice cream.

Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
How is that? Is it good? Wow?

Speaker 18 (01:28:04):
Oh my god?

Speaker 4 (01:28:06):
Scream Truck dot Com movie right back.

Speaker 18 (01:28:10):
Waking up in the morning, taking him on so many things.

Speaker 7 (01:28:15):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show, Elvis Duran in the
Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (01:28:25):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, full disclosure. Of course, we're talking with
Eric Murphy from scream Truck and I am a partner
in scream Truck. I was so lucky to be invited
to be a part of the scream Truck real life.

Speaker 18 (01:28:37):
You are.

Speaker 4 (01:28:37):
You're very lucky to have me so lucky. Anyway, I
want to tell you this real quick. We made a
big announcement earlier. Uh, Florida is now going to be
a part of the family as well. Scream Trucks will
be rolling into Florida soon, starting up in Broward County
and down through South Florida. I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (01:28:54):
So if you want Scream Truck to come to your neighborhood,
go to scream truck dot com and sign up. That's
how you get scream Truck to come to your neighborhood.
The more people that sign up, the faster we get
to your neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (01:29:03):
Yeah, you know, Frog, you should be doing the Scream
Truck in Tampa. What are you waiting for here? I
would love to bring it on. Let's go.

Speaker 9 (01:29:09):
I love it in my neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (01:29:10):
Danielle, you're in Philly. Let's get qoh two, let's get Philly.
We got scream trucks. We could drive him und down
the turbinile.

Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
I have some exciting news guests who booked the first
event on the Squared truck. Who's that snooky oh boy
that her daughter her daughter's on a really cool cheer team.
It's the c JA. They're having this truck there for
a little celebration for their cheer team.

Speaker 4 (01:29:37):
I love that. But you know, let's be honest. Other
celebrities have been loving scream truck, true, like one of
the Jonas brothers. Can't say which one, Kevin. The scream
truck experience is interesting because Westfield, New Jersey is I
think it's our most famous market, right, That's where we started,
and that's where Garrett lives, Customer number one. You know what,
So Garrett, what is the experience, Like, what's it like

(01:30:00):
to get to the scream truck to scream through town?
It's awesome.

Speaker 20 (01:30:04):
Like yesterday, for instance, I got a text message at
twelve o'clock, Hey, we're gonna be in your area later
on today, so just reply yes if you want and
we'll show up. So it hit yes, and then about
four or five o'clock rolls up. It comes to your
house right right to the doorstep, right, and but do
you wonder ahead of time get onto the grass to
the doorstep?

Speaker 6 (01:30:23):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (01:30:24):
No, what was your question, Daniel?

Speaker 8 (01:30:25):
I think can you put your order in ahead of time?

Speaker 12 (01:30:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:30:28):
Everybody pre orders look at that. Yeah, if I get
my peanut butter milkshake and I'm good to go. You
have an event coming up in west as well.

Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
So we're doing our first public event with the Squared
Truck in Westfield noon to four on Sunday. It's gonna
be at the South Street train station.

Speaker 4 (01:30:45):
Is that how you would say that?

Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
South half South have sorry South Ave train station and
it's noon to four and it's free.

Speaker 4 (01:30:52):
You can't miss the screaming scream trucking.

Speaker 8 (01:30:56):
They should make it scream.

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
That should be the ice cream truck sound instead.

Speaker 5 (01:31:02):
Down the street.

Speaker 4 (01:31:04):
Gandhi tried you tried the square. It goes down to
these squares. It starts at the squares and you build
on that. And Matt just made this incredible, incredible Sunday
for me and a shaker. Is that what it's called scary?

Speaker 1 (01:31:16):
They're so good. I just like the squares just by themselves.
I'm sure all of that other stuff is amazing, but
just a square on its own, perfect.

Speaker 4 (01:31:23):
Very all right. So again, scream truck dot Com check
it out. We want a scream truck in your city soon.
We got to do that. And when we roll into
when are we going to roll into Florida. Do we
have a date yet? Probably on like the very beginning
of September, right after labor dat all right listening to this,
so y one hundred point seven, we're coming down. Just
look for the big truck. It's pink can visit scream

(01:31:45):
Truck and uh do we get everything in?

Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
I think?

Speaker 6 (01:31:47):
So?

Speaker 4 (01:31:48):
Okay? Did we?

Speaker 18 (01:31:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:31:50):
Okay, I shouldn't play. I don't have time for milkshake
by Coliche.

Speaker 8 (01:31:56):
It's the classic.

Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
Here's another cool thing going on. We have Caroline, the
world famous Caroline from Caroline's Comedy Club. Of course, every
year for twenty two years now they've been giving us
the New York City Comedy Festival. It's coming up again
this year. Tickets go on sale this morning at eleven
am here in New York, and you gotta buy them.
She's gonna be here to talk about the comedians that
are rolling through. It's pretty cool. Eric Matt, thank you

(01:32:18):
guys for faming it today. And we love spreating great time.
God loves Scream Truck.

Speaker 8 (01:32:22):
You're waking out in the morning.

Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
The Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (01:32:27):
What Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (01:32:31):
There are so many millions of reasons. We love living
in New York City, and there's so many millions of
reasons people love to come to New York City. The
one I want to talk about right now is the
New York Comedy Festival. This is the twenty second year.
The twenty twenty six New York Comedy Festival is going
down in November, but we got to talk about it
now because tickets go on sale this morning at eleven,

(01:32:51):
the pre sale this morning. And of course, the mastermind
behind the New York Comedy Festival, the biggest name in
comedy in my opinion, of course, Caroline Caroline Hurst is here.

Speaker 6 (01:33:01):
Hi. Caroline, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:33:06):
How many times did I laugh so hard I cracked
my pants in at Caroline's comedy club.

Speaker 17 (01:33:12):
That that was me.

Speaker 6 (01:33:16):
Yes, we go back a long long way.

Speaker 4 (01:33:18):
We sure do, we do, and you were more beautiful
than ever. We love you, Caroline, And of course Greg Charles,
who is always at her side. They're connected at at whatever,
they're connected with it. Thank you guys for coming in
to talk about the Comedy Festival. If you're listening to us,
no matter where in this world you're listening, including here
in New York and New Jersey and Long Island and
Connecticut River. It's going down in November. Like I said,

(01:33:41):
tickets to pre sale this morning at eleven o'clock. Let's
talk about it.

Speaker 6 (01:33:44):
So the Comedy Festival is back again, and it's back
from Friday November sixth through Sunday November fifteenth, with about
probably close to two hundred and fifty shows around New
York City. Right now, we're announcing the headliners that we
have right now, but come September we do a whole

(01:34:05):
other announcement of everybody else that we've put together. Because
it takes so long to do all of this. It
takes a whole year to put this together.

Speaker 4 (01:34:11):
Two hundred and fifty shows. That sounds so easy. You
don't know what the problem is. Okay, I want to
get to that list of headliners in a second.

Speaker 6 (01:34:18):
Okay, So, but you know that, you know that the
New York Comedy Festival you started out being mainly stand
up but right now the future of comedy is more
than that. The future of comedy or is improv Our
digital creators are podcasters, all different site types of ways

(01:34:38):
that comedy is delivered. And the Festival this year is
a good example of how we put that together.

Speaker 4 (01:34:43):
Well, let's talk about them. Let's start with your headliners.
I'm excited to hear who who is headlining this year?

Speaker 6 (01:34:49):
Okay, so Mark Maron is back, Elena Glacier, Jordan Kepler,
Daniel Schloss, Miss pat and then we have the new
people that we're headlining, like Jordan Chance, Adam Friedland, Sarah
Sherman and Patty Harrison, Joanne McNally, Ben Beckis and Zeewee
and Jess Hilarious is with us.

Speaker 4 (01:35:12):
Everyone loves just hilarious.

Speaker 6 (01:35:14):
Ess used to work at Caroline's all the time, so
she was back headlining.

Speaker 4 (01:35:17):
Yes, we had her on our show not too long ago.
And I craped my pants that day too. I was
a pant full of crap in my life, thanks to you, Caroline.
I don't know about you, guys. I have such a
hankering to see the comedians that make you laugh, but
they also make you think, it make you feel. I mean,

(01:35:37):
my favorite today is Jimmy Carr, of course, and Ricky's
Your Vase does the same thing. Dave Chappelle is a
master in making people laugh and think, and then you
go back to the old days of comedy. Richard Pryor
and George Carlin, and I want to see more shows
like that where you know, it's not all just laugh
to you crap your pants, but it's also a thinking evening,

(01:35:59):
you know, And do you see more of that in
comedy these days?

Speaker 6 (01:36:03):
That's kind of you know, the observational stand ups from
originally how we really have. When I first got into business,
that was the trend that was there. But I think
we've branched off, and I think that COVID had a
lot to do with it. I think that a lot
of the digital creators came out of that. They may
not be everybody's cup of tea, like what you like,
but there is a market for that, and there is

(01:36:25):
an audience for that. I understand exactly what you're saying.
You know, the John Stewarts of the world. You know,
the Mark Marin's of the world. You know, the Bill
Burghs of the world. I mean, I love all of that.
I love it more than anything else. But there is
a whole other generation and a half that appreciates a
bigger gamut than just the stand up.

Speaker 1 (01:36:46):
Caroline is my superhero. I think that you're amazing with
what you've done being a woman in the business in general,
but comedy is it's you know, I have a soft
spot for it. One might say it hits me in
the funnybone. I love it, and I think that what
you're doing is amazing. It's like the best eleven nine
days of time here in New York City, and I
just I'm so excited to see some of these people because,
like you said, we know some of these names very well.

(01:37:09):
Some of them I have no idea, but those have
been some of the best shows I've ever been to.
Is when I didn't know what I was walking into
and I got surprised. So this is great.

Speaker 6 (01:37:16):
I think we're pretty good curators of what works. I
think we deliver because you know, I go to lots
of the shows and stand in the back and I
watch the audience reactions and I see all these happy
faces walking out.

Speaker 1 (01:37:28):
Do people crap their pants when they know you're in
the back of the audience, No, whit a minute.

Speaker 10 (01:37:33):
I kind of did, because if you remember, a couple
of years ago, I did down for Laughs and it
was part of the New York Comedy Festival, and it
was all to go for helping Hearts of Joy, which
helps children with down syndrome right to get the heart
operations that they need. And Caroline was in the back
and it was a totally clean show. They didn't want

(01:37:55):
any cursing, they didn't want like any dirty comedians.

Speaker 8 (01:37:58):
So we had a book a clean show first of all.
That is very hard to do.

Speaker 10 (01:38:02):
And I'm in the back thinking, oh my gosh, Caroline's
watching the show that we put together and it's a
totally clean show.

Speaker 8 (01:38:08):
It's so different, like what is she thinking?

Speaker 1 (01:38:10):
But she seemed to enjoy it.

Speaker 6 (01:38:11):
I think, Oh, it was a show that evening and
you raised lots of money.

Speaker 4 (01:38:16):
Yeah, Caroline is known as the Queen of comedy, but
she's she's never never done stand up. Have you ever
tried to stand up before?

Speaker 5 (01:38:24):
No?

Speaker 6 (01:38:24):
But I think way back maybe I should have. Yeah,
I didn't where we went from the early days of
watching you know, Jay Leno in the club and Jerry Seinfeld.
Even when I see Jerry go, we both say, could
you believe what has happened? This art form just exploded
in the last forty years. I mean, it's unbelievable. And

(01:38:46):
then the younger generation, and you know, it had a
lot to do with the cable channels at that time
that really looking for cheap ways to entertain people, put
on lots of comedy and then a younger generation got
hooked on that. So it all to cable TV and
then to the Internet for our digital creators.

Speaker 4 (01:39:05):
You know, Caroline, all those years running Caroline's Comedy Club,
the world famous Carolines, you were usually in the back,
watching in the shadows, observing, and you had you were
running an incredibly successful business at the same time. What
have you learned through all of this?

Speaker 6 (01:39:22):
Well, look, early on, when I first started the club
and I was standing in the back, I had to
convince journalists and radio people also that comedy was on
the rise and you should really take note of the
people for me at Carolines. And it was early on
it was Howard Stern, who was on NBC Radio in
the afternoon that looked at our lineup and wanted to

(01:39:44):
take on people like Richard Belzer and Pee Wee Herman
and bring him on the show. And this started the
whole start of Carolines as a national entity. And mentions
on the David Letterman Show happened that way. It was
It's the start of something really new. And I really
think that Caroline's was part of this cultural movement that

(01:40:05):
really I'm going to tell you I had like convinced
people to come there and cover comedy. It was like,
who are you talking about this? Jay Leno? Who was
this guy? You know? It was like that. So the
Jerry Seinfelds, the Richard Lewis, the Gary Shanlings.

Speaker 5 (01:40:20):
You know.

Speaker 6 (01:40:21):
The first year when I was open and a booking comedians,
so it was it was tough, but then I guess tenacity,
I stayed with it, and forty years later it's a phenomena.

Speaker 8 (01:40:32):
Wait, do you have them all on speed dial?

Speaker 10 (01:40:33):
Like could you pick up your phone right now and
just like call, like, you know all these people, Jerry Seinfeld.

Speaker 6 (01:40:38):
You know, you know what it is. They got their
people now, you know what that is? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:40:46):
Well yeah, I was kind of hoping you could push
the speed doll for Richard Pryor giving him a little
call for us. He was talking, wasn't he? Oh but yeah, unbelievable.
Let's talk about the canceled culture that the comedy world
for a while. It seems to be relieving, of course,
not only in comedy but in other industries as well.

(01:41:07):
As the cancel culture. How do you feel about like
the Luisy Kays and guys like that.

Speaker 6 (01:41:11):
God, how everybody's forgotten about that. But the thing about Louie,
now I've known Louie. The thing about Louis is that
I've known Louis since he's a young young man, and
he did something that was not appropriate when I guess
he was in his early thirties. I think I read,
I read, you know, his story in the New York Times.
He festt up to what he did, and he apologized

(01:41:33):
for what he did. And I think that the cancel culture,
you know, would forgive a murderer coming out of prison
because he put his time in, as opposed to just
forgetting about what Louie did. So I have forgiven Louie.
I think he paid his penance, and I you know,
he's wonderful. We had him in the festival last year
and he taped the special Lits right now on Netflix.

Speaker 4 (01:41:57):
Yeah, Nate, you had a question. When I go to
instat and I start scrolling, it's a lot of people
doing their sets or their bits or whatever. Is it
standard practice now in comedy clubs to just film everything
and then give that to the comedian so that they
can cut it, edit it and post it at their leisure.

Speaker 6 (01:42:17):
We used to have the Monday Nights, which was kind
of like the New Talent Night, and everybody kind of
you know, did that to tape themselves so they can
see themselves and use it as a tape to try
to get a job somewhere else. They did that. I
think they do more like comedians. Don't want to give
their work up online like that unless somebody's paying for it. Okay, so,
but they do a lot of crowd work. Crowd work

(01:42:39):
is the way you can get around doing that and
not give up much on your material.

Speaker 4 (01:42:43):
How do you feel about crowd work?

Speaker 6 (01:42:44):
Oh, don't ask me about that.

Speaker 4 (01:42:45):
Oh, we know how she feels about. No, I saw
I saw a comedian. I can't remember who it was,
and he goes. If you have a comedian that starts
talking to you, just don't say anything back to them.
They can't do anything unless you give them something to
work with.

Speaker 6 (01:43:03):
I think it's a look. It works for getting the
word out about yourself, introducing yourself online, and it works
for that. But you know, we used to say that's
the hackiest thing around.

Speaker 4 (01:43:13):
Really still do?

Speaker 6 (01:43:16):
I mean, but people have made careers on this so well.

Speaker 4 (01:43:20):
Yeah, Carolina Hirsh is with us. By the way, of course,
I hear talking about the twenty second New York Comedy Festival.
Tickets are our on pre sale this morning at eleven o'clock,
Great Charles. Where do I go to buy my tickets?
At eleven this morning? For presale, you go.

Speaker 21 (01:43:37):
To ny Comedy Festival dot com. That's where you can
unlock the pre sale code. Ooh, And then tickets go
on sale to the general public Monday, July twentieth at
eleven am Eastern time.

Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
Yeah, get your tickets. Two hundred and fifty different shows,
all happening beginning November sixth, the New York Comedy Festival.
Great Charles, by the way, has always has been working
at Caroline since I've met you, Caroline, right, Do you
guys miss it? Do you miss the club?

Speaker 6 (01:44:03):
I I miss I missed the staff. I miss going
into my office connecting with everybody. I miss going into
the room at night and seeing a lot of the
new talent. I miss not having that to do. So
now I have to do a lot of that online.
But you know that's where you know, I walk into
the room at night, see emerging talent and go I

(01:44:23):
gotta keep eye on this one, that one, this one,
and that one, and I love that whole part of it.
And that's what I do, miss so find that next
best thing coming up. So, Gandhi, we're going to be
working with you in the festival.

Speaker 1 (01:44:36):
Yes, I'm so excited. I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (01:44:38):
What are you doing, Gandhi?

Speaker 1 (01:44:39):
Well, like she was saying earlier, there are all these
different formats now that they're kind of venturing into, and
I have a podcast, so they were nice enough to
invite me in my podcast to be part of the
New York Comedy Festival. And there might be a little
stand up involved in it.

Speaker 10 (01:44:52):
But baby, baby, oh, I need to see this.

Speaker 4 (01:45:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:45:00):
Awesome, it'sous. For so long, I've always just wanted to
try it, and I have so much written, so I figured,
you know what, in the midst of doing this podcast,
we could just you know, try a little set and
see how it goes. And very helpful with suggestions on

(01:45:21):
how to start practicing and getting it together.

Speaker 4 (01:45:23):
Awesome. Another reason you need to come to the New
York Comedy Festival. I've been gearing up to ask the
question I'm gonna ask. I ask it every year when
Caroline comes in. When are you going to reopen your club?
Where are we get to heaven with doors you can
walk through and see if you can sit in and
crap your pants.

Speaker 6 (01:45:41):
I know I miss having it. It was a bittersweet
to close. Look, I kept the name. I did not
sell the club. I did not sell the name. So
in the back of my mind there was always something
else to do. So it's always on my mind to
do it. But we'll see what happens.

Speaker 21 (01:45:57):
More importantly, I'm a little work read. There's this theme
in the show you, Danielle. Everyone's crapping their pants the
last time you had.

Speaker 4 (01:46:13):
To be fair. There is that bug going around. I
was wondering to be fair. I mean, come on.

Speaker 6 (01:46:24):
Comedy is a really part of our culture, bigger than
ever and a very important part of our culture.

Speaker 1 (01:46:33):
It's it's art and it's medicine. I think comedy is
one of the coolest things that exist because it makes
us all happy. Like, who doesn't like comedy? I actually
did meet one person once that's said they didn't like comedy.
I found that weird.

Speaker 4 (01:46:47):
So weird.

Speaker 1 (01:46:48):
Yeah, it's so important, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:46:50):
It's it's an it's influential form of entertainment that we love.
I mean we get we get some facts from it,
we get some political point of view from it, we
get healthy benefits from it. So it's all good for.

Speaker 10 (01:47:05):
Us nowadays with everything going on in this crazy world,
you need to laugh, right, So it's more important than ever.

Speaker 4 (01:47:11):
Oh you know what's funny you said that. It's funny
you said that, because it seems like we say that
every single year.

Speaker 1 (01:47:18):
It gets worse.

Speaker 4 (01:47:21):
Hey, I have totally been blown away at maybe it's
my algorithm on Instagram whatever, all of these hecklers that
are physically walking up to the stage and effing around
with the comedian, and the hecklers who pay to come
to these shows and want to interact without invitation with

(01:47:43):
these comedians. Why is that so prevalent now? It hasn't
always been this huge of a thing.

Speaker 6 (01:47:50):
Because they know they'll be on social media. That's why
years ago there wasn't a camera in the room. Now
there's a you know, a thousand cameras in the room
to capture it. So everybody's kind of star, you know,
make yourself a store being obnoxious, So it's like.

Speaker 1 (01:48:04):
Part part of it is also just the comment section
in general on social media, everybody thinks their opinion matters
and counts, and if you're in public, you can't type it,
so you have to scream it true.

Speaker 6 (01:48:16):
That's that's true, That's that's true. And then again, you know,
you know, we were always in our room, always watched
people with bones, people getting out of this seat's, people hackling.
We kept a real control about that. Good. But I
guess anybody can run in at the Beacon Theater, run
up to the stage and start screaming at the performer.

Speaker 4 (01:48:35):
Please don't look. It's so important comedy, as we all agree.
Without it, we would be we wouldn't have a reason
to crack our pasts. Then you go back to that.
The twenty twenty sixth New York Comedy Festival November sixth
through the fifteenth. The pre sale for tickets go go
out for sale at eleven this morning. You can go
