Speaker 3 (00:45):
You get paid and then you spend it. It's all gone.
It's all in and out, in and out. It's evan flow.
Welcome to the day. It is Wednesday, April fifteenth. It
is tax day. Pay your taxes. Welcome today. We do
have Pink joining us today. She wants to come on.
She requested to come on with us to wish us
a happy thirtieth birthday. Is that kind of cool? I
(01:06):
love that? Good morning, Danielle, Morning, Hi, Gandhi. Hello, there's Gary, Hi,
Scottie b and Master Control. Good morning, good morning, and
good morning. Producer Sam how are you feeling today? I
feel did the baby crawl out? Did the baby crawl
out in the middle of the night.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
If it did, I lost it immediately.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Hello, don't say that, Hi, Frogy, good morning, morning, good morning.
And there's uh Nate Weddles, and there's diamond diamond, Oh,
diamond diamond, diamond, Good morning diamond. I saw Garrett rumbling around,
and is Andrew here yet here?
Speaker 9 (01:39):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
All right? Well, welcome to tax Day twenty twenty six.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
Welcome.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'm trying to I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Know, yah, best day ever?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Yeah, yeah, never have figured out what that song is
all about. I'm trying to figure out the meaning. What
is it telling us? What is that song telling us?
He sounds moving through my mains exactly. I could not
have said it better myself. Our first caller of the
day is Mark in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. No, why are
(02:08):
you excited? Today is tax Day? Mark?
Speaker 10 (02:12):
I'm just glad it's over.
Speaker 6 (02:14):
That makes sense.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
But aren't you a little excited about this festive time
of year? Why is it so important to you?
Speaker 10 (02:22):
It's just good to seeing, you know, be able to
help people and you know, get kind of what you
need to get. Done, get done.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
And wait, wait, hold on, hold on, are you an accountant? Yep,
Now we know why you're all excited. It's payday for Mark. Okay,
so let me ask you this. Out of all of
your clients, accountant, Mark, what percentage are paying today versus
filing an extension.
Speaker 10 (02:50):
I mean, we try to get as many as through
as we can, but you still have this to you
that you need to get extended. So you know, my
goal is to just get it done so you don't
have to deal with the rest of the year.
Speaker 11 (02:58):
And I have a question, what is the biggest thing
that people try to write off?
Speaker 10 (03:06):
I would say just more entertainment.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Entertain Yeah, all right, so how do how do they
make that a business expense being entertained because that's what
it would have to be, right right right?
Speaker 12 (03:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (03:21):
Yeah, you know, events, different different avenues like that. But
you know, nothing, nothing too crazy.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Okay, I got you, I got you.
Speaker 8 (03:29):
Well.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
I was reading earlier that more and more people are
filing for extensions than ever before. I don't know if
you read that, Gandhi when you're looking at your news. So, uh,
you know, why do it today when you can do
it tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (03:40):
To pay more to do it tomorrow.
Speaker 10 (03:43):
Uh no, no, you don't have to pay anymore. But
if you, oh, you you get penalties and interest.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
So yeah, there you go. Yeah, remember we discussed that yesterday.
So yeah, you better. If you think that you can
get away with just paying a little bit and that's enough,
you're fine. But if you don't pay enough, you will
pay penalty. So if you can postmark by today, it's
probably a good idea. Mark, you are the first caller
of the day. What do you have for accountant? Mark?
Speaker 13 (04:05):
Well, we're gonna say the Yelvis during in the morning
show hoodie in a ten ninety nine, because you know what,
he's got to pay text on that.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
No, no, no, god no, what is the rule for that?
By the way, if someone wins something from US six
hundred dollars plus, right, Mark, that's right there you go?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
There you go?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Okay, all right, Well, this T shirt's worth five hundred
ninety nine dollars. Good going, Mark, Good luck. Hope you
get through the day and you have reason to celebrate.
After the day's done, let's roll into the three things
we need to know from Gandhi and get on with
text day. What's going on Gandhi.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
All right. Vice President JD. Vance is advising Pope Leo
the fourteenth to be careful when talking about theology. The
Vice president hold on what I'm just just reading the news?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
The Vice President spoke Tuesday at a Turning Point USA
event in Georgia and criticized a recent social media post
by Pope Leo. On Friday, the Pope wrote that anyone
who's a disciple of Christ is quote, never on the
side of those who once wielded the sword and today
dropped bombs. Days later, President Trump blasted the pope on
truth social and called him week on crime.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Now.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Vance is also criticizing the Pontiff and said Tuesday, if
you're going to opine on matters of theology, you've got
to be careful and make sure it's anchored in truth.
They're beefing a massive crash.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Wait, wait, should you be beefing with the.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Pope that that was the thing that happened?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
All right, okay, all right, back to you.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
A massive crash in Colorado involving dozens of vehicles is
the cause of at least nineteen injuries. Officials say the
wreck happened in wintry conditions yesterday on I seventy, about
seventy miles outside Denver. The Clear Creek County Sheriff's office
says at least seventy five vehicles were involved in that
pilop crash and finally, influencers at it again. An American
(05:52):
influencer is heading to South Korea prison for kissing a
statue honoring the comfort women of World War II. The
twenty five year old YouTuber, who goes by the name
of Johnny Somali, has gained thousands of followers because of
his provocative stunts. Back in twenty twenty four, he uploaded
a video of himself kissing a statue in South Korea
memorializing Korean women who were forced into sexual slavery during
(06:13):
the war by occupying Japanese forces. The video angered South
Koreans and now a district court and Soul has handed
Somali a six month prison sentence. And those are your
three things.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
People are weird anyway? Well, welcome to Wednesday. It is
tax Day. If you're just waking up, I'm not going
to remind you anymore. It's up to you. Really, that's
on you. We heard from someone who's listening to us
in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. Good morning in San Antonio.
I used to live there. What a beautiful place to live.
It is almost Fiesta time in San Antonio. And if
you know what that means, you know what that means.
(06:46):
The Fiesta oyster bak is my favorite at Saint Mary's University. Anyway,
I oh, gosh, years and years of going to Fiesta
in San Antonio. Unbelievable. Have you any of have you
heard of it?
Speaker 5 (06:56):

Speaker 4 (06:57):
No, that's great though.
Speaker 3 (07:00):

happy almost Fiesta in San Antonio. And are you guys

this day. In nineteen forty eight, Jackie Robinson signed with
the Brooklyn Dodgers. Wow, becoming the first African American player
in Major League Baseball. Also on this day and night,
You'll never guess what happened on this day in nineteen
fifty five. According to historian Phil What, nineteen fifty five,
(08:22):
a guy named Ray Krock opened his first McDonald's franchise
location in Illinois. Burgers cost fifteen cents.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Look at that. Thank you, Phil. I love it when
Phil checks in.
Speaker 11 (08:36):
They should do, you know, every year, like to celebrate
birthdays like that, Like McDonald's should do the fifteen cent
burger for the day to promote him.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah, yeah, I know they money, but it says says
the woman who has no stock in McDonald's says, the
woman who would like a cheap burger. How'd you know
maybe maybe the Titanic hit the iceberg on you know,
it took you a little time to sink.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
For it because it hit at night.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
So it hit at night on the fourteenth, that actually
sank on the fifth.

forget Rose still considered the biggest movie villain in history.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
That's right, there was plenty of room on that.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Did we get into that debate at all, whether Rose
was a villain or not?
Speaker 4 (11:18):
We did?
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Yeah, and who won? Do we know?
Speaker 4 (11:21):
We all decided?
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah, Rose suck? She had she had room on that
floating door for Jack, didn't.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
She absolutely like they weren't even trying to like paddle
toward anything. They just sat there freezing. It's all stupid.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
All right, Well, it's Titanic Day, go out and I
just have that sink and feeling it's gonna be a
great day. Daniel what are you coming up?
Speaker 11 (11:49):
You know I love a good popcorn bucket at the
movie theater, a collectible one. So we got another cool
one on the way. And also American Music Awards. We
will talk about the nominees.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
You know. We make fun of Danielle and her popcorn
bucket bucket obsession. Yeah, one day she'll open up the
popcorn bucket Museum. Is that your retirement to thank fifty years?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Morning Show so excited. The weather's so great here in
the Northeast, and you know it, God, another day yesterday
just outside. Today is going to be another outside day.
And but there are a few negatives that happen when
this happened. What's that ants? Okay, I've got ants, I
got an I got ants all over the house, ants everywhere.
(13:13):
So I have to I have to put that ooze,
that oozing stuff in the in the in the in
the box out and I get it to have to
put the ooze everywhere, the ant ooze, and you know,
I don't know what it's called. What is it called.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
It's like it's.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Like a paste. I guess. Yeah, then I have ant houses.
They go in, don't come out. I don't want to
know what's going on in there. But yeah, the ants
are attacking. But I guess it's just it's a small
price to pay.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
Well, I have another small price to pay.
Speaker 11 (13:42):
How about when you get your car washed this time
of year and the next day there's already bird poop
all over it and pollen all over it.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Green cars? Your car is now green. It is it's
green fallen time and time. I know, I'm happy. I'm
for the ants, bring on the pollen. I'm excited. So
let's get into the Danielle Report. What do you have
going on today?
Speaker 6 (14:06):
All right, let's talk about Justin Bieber.
Speaker 11 (14:07):
He saw a major spike in streaming following his return
to the stage at Coachella.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
His catalog brought.
Speaker 11 (14:13):
In twenty four point six million US streams on Sunday,
marking his biggest day of the year, and that surge
extended globally. So congratulations to him.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Funny Danielle, Yeah, it's interesting how you know Justin Bieber's
appearance at Coachella got a lot of a lot of positives,
but a lot of negatives as well, And now his
streaming numbers boom way up right.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
At yep, yep, yep.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
And then you know, Timothy Chalomaye went out a couple
of weeks ago made fun of people who do ballet.
Ballet ticket sales way up, cray up.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
One of the bell.
Speaker 11 (14:43):
I think the London Ballet said, you know, instead of
going back at Timothy Challamy, we're just going to use
this to our advantage. And they just put something out
that said, hey, don't listen to him, take a look
at what we're doing. And so people did and their
ticket surged.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
So it actually pays to be negative.
Speaker 11 (14:59):
Yeah, I'm gonna do my negativity the whole rest of
my report.
Speaker 15 (15:03):
What do you think?
Speaker 6 (15:04):
Okay, Taylor Swift leads.
Speaker 11 (15:06):
The way with eight American Music nomination. She is the
all time champ with forty American Music Award trophies. Where
do you think she keeps all of those? I wonder
it gotta be someplace crazy, But forty damn seven nominations
with the Sabrina carpenter, Olivia.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
Dean, Somber, Morgan Wallen.
Speaker 11 (15:23):
Meanwhile, Gaga Alex Warren came in with six nominations. The
voices behind Kate Pop Demon Hunters they got three for
Golden And of course, the American Music Awards are going
to be going down in Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday,
May twenty fifth, and the show's gonna air on CBS
and stream.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
On Paramount Plus.
Speaker 11 (15:41):
I don't know if you're following the Guy Fiertti story,
but he is facing a social media backlash. So there's
a video and pictures on social with Guy seen embracing
controversial influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate.
Speaker 6 (15:54):
And this was at a UFC fight.
Speaker 11 (15:57):
He was shaking hands with them and he says that
he was walking around they came up to him. He says,
I didn't know who they were. I didn't I don't
even know their story. And he says, look, I'm not
going to pretend to be a perfect person, but let
me make this crystal clear. I don't know them, I
didn't know their story. I don't support them, he said.
I was just there to see the fight, and that's
(16:19):
what I did. Because people are like killing him on
social media about these pictures and these videos.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
So you know they're terrible people.
Speaker 6 (16:26):
Yeah, so exactly.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
So I don't know.
Speaker 11 (16:28):
If you guys don't know who Andrew Interests and Tate Art,
you need to do a little.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Oh no, you don't.
Speaker 6 (16:33):
You could do a dive and just see how bad
they are.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
So I don't know, I know. But if you just
you're walking through a UFC event and a hand comes
out of nowhere to shake your hand, right, someone takes
your picture while you're bumping shoulders with them whatever, Yeah,
then now you're the best friends with with like traffickers,
you know. I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 11 (16:52):
And you know, guy guys is friendly to everybody. He
probably didn't even realize what was going on.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
I believe him, you know.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
So, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (17:00):
It's just crazy.
Speaker 11 (17:01):
Doctor Pimple Popper, Doctor Sandra Lee. Do you know she
had a stroke on the set of Doctor Pimple Popper
breaking out in November?
Speaker 6 (17:09):
It happened.
Speaker 11 (17:10):
We wait, I don't know if she was actually popping
a pimple, but she said she was filming the show
she had what she thought was a hot flash, which
I get constantly all day long, and she said that
she spent the night at her parents' home and by
the following morning, her left side had deteriorated, and she
went to the hospital and she got an MRI and
(17:31):
confirmed that she had had a stroke.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
Now, thankfully, she's doing well.
Speaker 11 (17:35):
Six months later, Nate, you know all about this stuff,
and she's pretty much back to normal.
Speaker 6 (17:39):
But that was her wake up call to take better
care of herself.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Were you popping pimples when it happened to you?
Speaker 16 (17:47):
No?
Speaker 11 (17:47):
I Let's talk about Cinemak's Masters of the Universe and
their collectible lineup of popcorn buckets, and so.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
I'm so excited about this.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
You know this.
Speaker 11 (18:01):
So yesterday cinemacn at twenty twenty six, we're talking about
their June fifth release.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
And this is the coolest popcorn bucket.
Speaker 11 (18:09):
It is a standout Castle Grayskull bucket. It's really detailed,
it's really displayworthy.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
You could put this thing out.
Speaker 11 (18:17):
It's got this built in drinkholder and it's got oh
and wait, there's another highlight. There's this sort of power
drink container and if you unscrew it, it's like a
replica prop. So not only do you get something like that,
but you get like a prop with it.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
Look, these things.
Speaker 11 (18:32):
Are getting crazier and crazier because people really want to
get their hands on it, and they go for a
lot of money on social So maybe you want to
get that.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
I'm so excited about Fokker in Law.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
You guys excited about that.
Speaker 11 (18:43):
New teaser yesterday with a new cast member Ariana Grande.
That looks like it's gonna be so much fun. Scheduled
to be released November twenty fifth. And Jumanji three is
on the way and has an official title.
Speaker 6 (18:55):
It's called Jumanji Open World.
Speaker 11 (18:57):
It is the biggest movie of the Friend so far,
and that is getting a Christmas Day release.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
So what are we watching tonight?
Speaker 11 (19:05):
There is a lot the serious premiere of Margo Has
Got Money Troubles on Apple TV. You also have the
season finale of Scrubs, the reboot.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
Love Island Beyond the Villa.
Speaker 11 (19:15):
I Know that Where a Diamond will be tonight on
Peacock second season premiere that also I'm choking on myself here,
second season premiere of Million Dollar Secret on Netflix, balls
up on Amazon, and I Know Nova has a Return
to the Moon special on PPS tonight, and that is
my Danielle report.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
Hey, so last night I was just zooming around trying
to find something to watch. And have you been watching
the at least episode one of that boy band, that
boy band documentary that's out.
Speaker 13 (19:43):
I have not.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Oh well, episode one is pretty cool. It's called boy
Band Confidential, and Joey Fatone was all over it last night.
But they're talking to all the boy bands, boys to men,
and they're getting into back Street Boys and then sync,
I mean the whole thing and how they came around
and of course Lou Pearlman, Big Papa. Anyway, it looks
(20:09):
like it's going to be an incredible series. So it's
called boy Band Confidential. Go look it up. It's really great.
Look who isn't into boy bands anyway?
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Chris?
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Come on? We love them and if you're not, you
should be. That's all that's all I have to say
about the matter. Anyway. Uh, did you have a game
in here today? Gandhi?
Speaker 4 (20:30):
I do have a game?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Yeah, do you have?
Speaker 4 (20:32):
Today's a big day? It's tax day. So I figured
we could play from the first beat songs about money.
All of them are very popular songs. You're gonna get
like one two seconds maybe and you have to tell
us the name of the song and the artist.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Okay, I was thinking, how many songs are there about taxes?
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Lots, so many tax songs, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Okay, we'll just call it money. All right, if you
know your money and you know your music, called diamond
right now at eight hundred two four to two zero
one hundred, we got to.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Go to Elvis Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
To Elvis Duran in the morning show.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
So you know what? Uh, I don't know. I enjoy
seeing videos on Instagram about you know, the fights on airlines?
Are you guys? I can't turn them off. I cannot
turn off airline fight videos. I just can't.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
And there have been like zero times that you've been
rooting for the person getting kicked off the plane, right,
You're always rooting against them, like yeah you.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Suck well yeah no, yeah, Look if they've if they've
done something wrong, and I'm assuming they have, they should
get off the damn plane. Yeah, of course, it's it's
a spectator sport.
Speaker 11 (22:51):
It's never happened, has ever happened when you've been on
a plane. I mean really, he's never.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Yeah, but it wasn't. But it wasn't up to the
up to the level of excite, and I wanted it
to be. No, it was a They definitely were removing
someone from a plane and we saw it happen, but
no one clapped, no one knew what was going on. Yeah,
but uh, they put out another one of these surveys,
like the most favorite airline in America the twenty twenty
(23:17):
six Best Airline winners. Number one is the airline that
typically has the most videos that we're talking about, and
it's Spirit Airlines.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
WHOA really, that's the favorite.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Spirit that could be a well, look, they're saying best
airline overall, was also the most affordable airline, most reliable airline.
They're saying Spirit for many reasons. So look, you know,
we see these videos and that makes us assume that
all flights have those people on them. It's not true.
It's not that way. It seems that way because we
(23:53):
see these videos. Right, best airline overall, Spirit, Most Affordable Airline, Spirit,
Most real liable airline. Spirit.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
I'm astounded right now.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Good for Spirit, safest airline Frontier and there you go,
the best available.
Speaker 11 (24:12):
Yeah, they didn't pick up the phone.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
Okay, so this this is from wallet hub, which is
a pretty big reputable research you know thing. Anyway, the
best airline rankings for twenty twenty six number one, Spirit,
number two, Southwest, number three, sky West, number four, Alaska,
number five Hawaiian and then Jet Blue and then Delta,
then American, then Frontier, then United. You know it goes.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Yeah, this is mind boggling.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
There you go, what's up? Scary.
Speaker 14 (24:41):
I actually flew them recently and they were great. They
offered this exact called the big seat up front, which
is basically a lazy boy and they just put you
in a lazy boy and they just give you unlimited
junk food snacks.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
And I had the best time. And they went they
went shopping at a lazy boys store and put these
on a plane.
Speaker 14 (25:00):
The first two rows of every Spirit plane. People know
what I'm talking about. They they've created this their version
of what first class is. But there's no curtain and
you're just sitting there, sitting in this big lazy boy
chair and they feed you non stop snacks.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
It was so rather than calling it first class, they
call it the big seat up front. That's exactly the brand.
That's kind of cute. All right, All right, now, okay,
we got to turn it around about Frontier. Maybe they're
not so bad. But the reason why, as I said before,
we may think they're bad is because people keep posting
the videos and we assume it's like that on every
single flight, and it's not. All right, so the big
(25:35):
seat up front, all right, a lazy boy. I'm hoping
it's at least bolted to the plane sliding around. You know,
it's like, okay, I'm gonna sit in that chair over there.
If you had turbulence, you're back in the back. Is
it is tax Day, April fifteenth. It comes every April fifteenth.
(25:57):
It's tax Day. Today is to day. You've got a
deadline today, So Gandhi decided to use tax day as
the uh well, it's the topic of today's game, so
talk about it.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
Yeah, So all these songs are going to be related
to money in some capacity. We're gonna play you from
the first beat just one second, maybe two seconds, so
you have to pay attention to the song. And then
we want the title an artist.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
All right, let's go talk to Christine down in Melbourne, Florida.
Now you Christine, can you hear hi? Christine, thank you
for listening. By the way, thank you very much, thank you.
Speaker 15 (26:34):
I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
We're excited for you. But Christine was telling Diamond when
she hears other people doing these games, she's one of
us screaming at the radio while the other people are
just sounding so stupid.
Speaker 15 (26:46):
Right, Yes, but I do have to say, between talking
to Diamond and waiting to talk to you guys, I'm
questioning all my life choices.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
I don't know if I've ever.
Speaker 15 (26:55):
Heard a song in my life.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Oh no, okay, well, boy be a good or bad idea?
Speaker 2 (27:04):
All right?
Speaker 3 (27:04):
So these are songs about money, all right? And these
are so Gandhia Gandhi comes in early every day, just
like at a bakery. She gets in before everyone else
and cranks up the oven and she she she pounds
out these incredible games. So, uh, these are about money,
songs about money. On tax day, let's see if you
(27:26):
know any of these. Here we go. Here is a
song about money, Number one big song. It's all about
the money, money, money, the song.
Speaker 15 (27:41):
I don't want the world and forget about the price check.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Money money before the name of the song is price
tags Jesse j Right. So if you just here's the thing.
If you want to win this this content, if you
want to win this game, just like Christine, just start blabbing,
(28:06):
just start talking, and you're gonna get the name of
the title out. All right, songs about money from the
first beat, number two? Oh God, hit the button. Don't
don't say the brown word. Don't say the brown word.
Speaker 15 (28:17):
Christine, can you play yes?
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Yeah, this is kind of a tricky clue.
Speaker 8 (28:29):
Hmmm, I don't know.
Speaker 15 (28:32):
I'm not hurt.
Speaker 11 (28:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Yeah, all right. Uh did anyone in the room knowing
it's a ludicrous song, Yes, but I don't know the title. Well,
it's money. It's funny because I if I heard that part,
I knew it was money maker. But that that's the
weird part of the song. All right, she's getting kind
(28:55):
of crafty that Gandhi. All right, here we go, songs
about money. Yeah, excellent, Oh.
Speaker 15 (29:07):
My gosh, Yeah I am that person.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Can you do it one more time?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Yeah? Absolutely, I mean they are they are hidden in there.
But it is a big song.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Oh you're kick yourself.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
I am going to kick myself all right, well, well
it's it's Britney spears and work bitch.
Speaker 15 (29:36):
Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten that.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Yeah, I know. You know, if you only get a
few seconds of the song, it makes it all challenging,
which is the point. All right, how about this songs
about songs about old school.
Speaker 11 (29:53):
M Can you do it one more time?
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (30:02):
I'm just never gonna yell at anybody ever again because
I know.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Yeah, it's abba and money. Tell you what, I'm gonna
give you one more. I'm gonna give you one more hopefully.
I bet you get this when Christine songs about.
Speaker 15 (30:22):
Money, material girl, Madonna?
Speaker 3 (30:33):
All right, so you got that one.
Speaker 15 (30:36):
Yeah, you got.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Prize tag and you got material girl. All Right, we're
gonna send her something. We'll send you the illustrate in
the Morning Show t shirt. We won't even Tenney nine yet.
Speaker 15 (30:48):
Oh, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
It's kind of funny, you know. And Gandhi's she's pretty
clever about this. Even though it's about money songs, it
really is about just knowing your music. And it took
a couple of seconds some song right, absolutely d to.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
I'm gonna give it to her.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
She's tough, but you should try working with her. Oh
my god, anyway, thank you for listening to us. Christine,
have a beautiful day. No, thank you, thank you. Don't
forget it is tax day. Get your taxes paid. Pink
is on with us. Can't wait to talk to Pink.
When's she on? One hour from now? One hour Pink
(31:25):
on the way, Gandhi, great game? What do you think?
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Thank you?
Speaker 4 (31:27):
I love when people play and Diamond always chuckles. When
she hangs up the phone and somebody says they're confidence,
she goes they said they're confident.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
Well guess what, we have a part too. We've got
more of it on the way. So if you know
your money songs, just hang out in one hour away
from Pink, Elvis.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Da Ran clock.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
If you think she should tougher, elist Iran in the
Morning Show.
Speaker 13 (31:55):

Speaker 17 (32:12):
Id be the voice of reason or chaos. Call us
at one eight hundred two four to two zero one hundred.
Elvis Duran in the morning show, all right.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Let's talk about boy bands. Brought this up a little
while ago, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's
called boy Band Confidential, This documentary I was watching last
night and I sent you a quick text, Gandhi, and
I said, you got to check this out. It's very
interesting and it really gets into the meat and potatoes
(32:40):
of what they all sacrificed in order to be successful
boy bands. And it sounds awful.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
I mean, it sounds really bad, but also fascinating because
everybody wants to be, you know, a pop star and
famous so badly, and I think so many people don't
understand what goes into it behind the scenes and how
brutal it is. And I am fascinated by all this.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Stuff, and that Lou Pearlman, I'm not even I'm not
even gonna say bless his soul. And he's gone. He
did go to prison eventually, but they're just getting started
on him. I mean, in the contracts, maybe even knew this.
In the contracts Lou Pearlman had with his bands, he
owned fifty one percent of everything and he was a
(33:24):
member of the band. So if there was if there
were five members in the band, he would be the
sixth member and he would get one sixth of their profits.
Speaker 6 (33:32):
That's insane.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
It's also genius, but insane.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
But they didn't right.
Speaker 6 (33:37):
I feel like they didn't know any better.
Speaker 11 (33:39):
And a lot of them were just signing on the
dotted line because they were excited to be a celebrity
of being boy band, you.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Know, absolutely, And then you know code they were talking
about Backstreet Boys and and sync and where they started
and where they were from, and then they talked about
boys to men from Philadelphia. Totally different story. I mean,
these guys came from the projects of Philly, you know,
and they started in Philadelphia. They went to a school together,
they started their career their uh well, they started singing
(34:05):
and performing with each other in school. You know. They
were not put together by a producer or you know,
a record person. They put themselves together. Totally different stories. Wow.
And then when other bands came around and the white
boy band started doing so well, they just were pushed
to the back. And they talk about it about that.
(34:26):
The stories are interesting, very.
Speaker 11 (34:28):
Joey Fatone was actually walking around the building yesterday promoting it,
talking all about it, and I was like he said
he was.
Speaker 6 (34:34):
You know, he was doing a lot of different interviews.
Speaker 11 (34:36):
Remember yesterday I was telling you guys how he said
that he when in Sync, took a hiatus. He didn't
have money, you know, money to keep the lifestyle that
he wanted to continue. You know, it's crazy and I thought, Oh,
they made so much money. But I guess watching this
you find.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
Out that's not the case.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
You know, Joey Fatone, I think he has a garage
full of of storage binds phil with all this stuff
from his encinct days, including you know, all the merchandise
and everything. He's got all of it. It's still an
original packaging. He could also he always sell that stuff
and make a lot of money. Yeah, Nate, what's up?
Thinking about it? Though, Like these guys.
Speaker 13 (35:13):
Really wanted to be famous, you know, and like anybody
that wants to beat a boy band or something. So
it's really kind of a shame that it takes them
this long to figure out that bad stuff is happening
and bad stuff is being because at the time I
got to assume you're like, oh, here's this guy. He's
gonna put us up on stage. He's gonna pay for
this record. To be produced. He's gonna pay, but you
(35:36):
don't know you're being taken advantage of it, right, and.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
You're borrowing money from yourself exactly. Yeah, TLC how that story.
It's wild how this stuff works out, and we hear
it over and over and everyone continues to go down
the same path.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
Is that still the way it is now?
Speaker 11 (35:48):
Like, if you're flying first class everywhere, or you're getting
big hotel rooms as an artist, do you have to
pay that back to the you know, record label or whoever?
Speaker 3 (35:58):
I don't know. I really don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Used to be the.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Case different for every everything you saw it, or.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
They had a draw on it where you know, you
will have to work until it's all paid off and
then then the profits come to you. I don't know. Yeah,
you know, but you know, you've got to keep in
mind these boy bands are individuals, and they all have
different lives, and they all have different demons, and they
all have you know, they're all different. You think of
them as just one thing, but they're not. They're different people.
(36:24):
And I can't wait to get further into boy Band Confidential.
I can't remember what I saw it on. It says
here it's on it's a four part investigation discovery docu series.
Speaker 6 (36:36):
It just found Max. Is it on Max?
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Isn't HBO? What do they call that? Now? It's HBO?
Speaker 13 (36:43):
They wait different Max? And then they went back to
HBO Max.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Yeah, they had they had a Max actomy. They took
it all. Then they're reattached it. Now it's back to
it's Max back.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
Yeah, okay, they're coming with all the good stuff right now.
They have so much good programming on HBO Max.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
This is you did? Now?
Speaker 8 (37:02):
Is that?
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Where there is that? Where roosters located to?
Speaker 13 (37:05):
There?
Speaker 4 (37:05):
Yep? Euphoria is there?
Speaker 3 (37:08):
All the good stuff? Well, let's talk about Euphoria. You know,
Euphoria was the show I always wanted to watch, and
I never started it. I never pushed play on it
back at season one, and now, especially now that all
those actors are superstars basically, I definitely and all and
grown up. I definitely want to go start it.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
It's so much.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Is it too late to start it?
Speaker 4 (37:28):
No? No, no, No, I think it's great. It reminds me
of my high school years and I'm just like, oh wow.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
We strung out on Heroin and high school.
Speaker 6 (37:35):
Of course.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
No, I know a lot of people who were and
it's just it's wild to see. But it's a good show.
It's a really good show this season. Also, a lot
of people, I think, without watching it, have a lot
of commentary on what these high schoolers are doing. But
this show is set five six years after they graduated
high school, so you're not dealing with teenagers anymore. Now
they're adults.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
So this is season three out now, the new one.
So usually sometimes anyway, when a series gets to season three,
that's that sometimes when it starts to just fart out,
you know. Yeah, it's like a Succession for an example,
I love Succession season one, season two, and then season
(38:17):
three like, oh never.
Speaker 6 (38:18):
Mind, it jumps the shark at some point.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Yeah, and then people say, nah, don't watch it then,
so that prevents me from going back to watch the
whole thing. Yeah, but you're seeing euphoria in I so far.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
I mean, I've only watched the one episode, but I
liked it. I thought it was it was good. It
was interesting to pick up see where they all picked
up from where it left off last time. Because you know,
it's been a very long time since the show wrapped
season two, and now season three is out. And supposedly
this is going to be the last season, so I
expect even more drama.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Okay, So back to boy Band Confidential. It is a
four part investigation discovery series which you can see on
HBO Max boy Bands, I Got n Sync, I got
Backstreet Boys? What do you want to hear? Where? What
do you want to hear?
Speaker 14 (38:58):
I gave you the two biggest hits of each of
these two biggest bands.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Really, according to you, it's always end Sync versus Backstreet Boys.
And then they go head to.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Head and the men they got no love?
Speaker 3 (39:10):
Yeah? Can you go with the boys to men? And
by the way, in this first episode, boys to Men
is a major part of it. So uh yeah, come on,
scary end to the road, Boys to Men? Open your mind?
All right, Let's give me some boys in a band.
Boys in a band, let's call him a boy band.
Give me a little air bottle. All right, we're having
(39:35):
a big fight, big fight, the Mount Rushmore of boy bands.
All right, we're not agreeing at all with each other
at all. And if people are yelling at us on text,
what about Manu though? What about Jackson five? Jonas brothers?
The well? And uh oh, let's try Jonas Brothers.
Speaker 6 (39:56):
Yeah, ninety eight degrees you forget.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Oh, by the way, ninety eight degrees on this boy
band confidential. They were, they were all over it last night.
They were there.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
I said, boys B two K and Scary lost his mind.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
So they're not.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Whatever.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
I don't think you guys remember the classic bump bump bump,
bump bump bump.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
What a great song. I'm with you, Gandhi, but I
don't know if they should be able to mount rushmore
over that all right, So you know, it's interesting about
how these boy bands came to be, at least the latest,
well the version starting with around New Kids, right and
on New Kids Huge back in the old days of
motown Motown records. They would develop talent, they would turn
(40:39):
them into these bands. They would bring these performers together,
these these musicians, these vocalists who didn't even know each other, right,
and they would create their band. And that was the formula.
That's the formulaic thing that started the boy band resurgence.
Back with New Kids and all those, right, they were
put together except like I said, boys to mend, I
(41:03):
mean Motime Philly, Yeah, boys and men. No, they came
together on their own in school and god, they're still
doing it today. And then of course our own Deana's like,
what about one direction? Look, okay, is that a I
don't think of them as a boy.
Speaker 14 (41:18):
Band for something that was like the next generation, like
twenty eleven.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
And then if you keep it going, you have bts
now too, That's right, so many Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
So Mount Rushmore would have to be massive if we
wanted to fill that thing up with boy bands. So
I got my vote. Now vote now, but you can
only vote for one. You can text me at fifty
five one hundred the one boy band that should be
on the Mount Rushmore of boy bands.
Speaker 4 (41:44):
Okay, and then we're you said, we're starting a new
kids on the block and going forward from there.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
Yeah, start with new kids.
Speaker 11 (41:52):
Ok I can't start with the Beatles, Okay.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Leave it to old man. Nate was to go back
to the Monkeys. Monkeys. No, let's start. Let's start with
new kids. Okay. We'll start with new kids, hi, and
move to today the Mount Rushmore, and we will take
and we will tabulate, we will come up with your
Mount Rushmore to boy bands again again. Boy Band Confidential.
(42:17):
You can see over see it over on HBO Max.
We do have one thousand dollars free money phone tap
on the way thanks to our friends at Sabra. But
right now the three things we need to know. Oh,
by the way, we're about thirty minutes away from pink
as well. What today, all right? Gone to your rut?
What's up?
Speaker 4 (42:30):
All right? Price increases caused by the war in the
Middle East are causing the International Monetary Fund to cut
its growth outlook. The organization that ensures stability and global
financial systems met yesterday in Washington, DC, and so the
world was facing much weaker growth as shipping disruptions continue
in the Strait of hormuscenary Iran. The IMF said it
was choosing its most positive scenario for its world economic outlook,
(42:53):
which assumes the war will end soon and that prices
will hopefully return to normal. In its worst case scenario,
the IMF says the entire global economy is teetering on
the bank of recession. We know what the World Cup
is coming to us here and other cities around the country,
But have you heard this little gem? Apparently New Jersey
Transit is considering charging more than one hundred dollars for
(43:15):
a round trip ticket between Penn Station New York and
MetLife Stadium for.
Speaker 6 (43:19):
Those eight World matches can So there's.
Speaker 4 (43:23):
A lot of debate about this, that's according to The
New York Times. Meanwhile, Governor Holkle reacted saying this sounds
awfully high and it will not happen on MTA. New
Jersey Transit says match day travel prices haven't been finalized,
but it expects to come out with pricing soon. Meanwhile,
the American Dream Mall next to the stadium is expected
to charge up to three hundred dollars for parking on
(43:45):
match days. There is no parking allowed at MetLife Stadium,
So plan ahead, everybody. And finally, we've been talking about
it all morning. Tax days here, tax returns must be
postmarked or electronically filed by the end of the day
to avoid a late file penalty. If you're not ready,
you can file for a six month filing extension, but
tax experts caution that's not an extension to pay the irs.

late payment penalties. And those are your three things.

Speaker 12 (49:37):
I just don't.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
For real.
Speaker 14 (49:41):
I'll show you my business cards. See look, Caitlyn, I'm

tap on you.
Speaker 11 (50:48):
I love you, Hans.
Speaker 6 (50:51):
I think it's very funny.
Speaker 13 (50:52):

of our phone taps. And now listen closely. Our friends
from Bread's Bakery are here. They always bring the most incredible,
incredible gifts to us. Don't you agree with this?
Speaker 4 (52:23):
And they did such a good job of the presentation.
They carved out hello.
Speaker 11 (52:27):
Lady, Yeah, and bread and they had our logos from
over the years celebrating the thirty years, which is so cool.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
Yeah, you know we are celebrating our thirtieth you're doing
this show and they are helping us and Hello lady
and bread is quite quite the piece of art. I
love it.
Speaker 4 (52:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:43):
But you know, Gotti started Bread's Bakery and it's it
is a New York City institution. It's weird to start
a business. It so happens you're in New York City
and then all of a sudden it's known as an
institution in this incredible, incredible city, New York City. Congratulations
to God and of course Daniel, thanks for coming in
(53:03):
and thank you for helping us celebrate. Did you get
the egg sandwichy Scary Scary called it, well, not to
be confused with which is which is like a lettuce?
Speaker 16 (53:20):
Right?
Speaker 3 (53:20):
You know, I don't know if anyone has it confused
with Is it more of a.
Speaker 4 (53:36):
Can we Scary's guide to pronunciation? I just think it
would be really.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
Good and confused with lettuce anyway, So thank you so
much to Bread break Bread's Bakery. We love you, Gotti,
thank you so much. We're so proud of you. I'm
gonna go on vacation with him.
Speaker 4 (53:51):
Yeah, oh my god. He was just telling me about
one of his vacations to the Galapagus Islands and the
pictures were incredible. We have to do it.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
I love it all right, is on the way. We
got to talk to Pink. She wants to wish us
a happy thirtieth anniversary. Plus we got to talk about
all things Pink. She has been very busy. We'll get
into that. She's coming up next. Also, keep voting, Texas
now which boy band should be on the mount rushmore
of boy bands. We are keeping an eye on what
you're sending us Texas now at fifty five.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
One, tell us to it every morning. Actually all stay
long on iHeartRadio. Listen to the Elvis Duran in the
morning show.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
On America's Darkest Day nine to eleven, America vowed to
never forget help our nation keep that promise. Donate eleven
dollars a month and amplify your impact for the car
or Land donation go to t towot dot org. That's
t the number two t dot Org.
Speaker 1 (54:45):
This is Elvis Duran in the morning show.
Speaker 3 (54:49):
So we're kind of excited around these parts. We are
celebrating our thirtieth anniversary doing this show, which is something
I still cannot fully come to grips with.
Speaker 6 (55:01):
It's crazy, how cool?
Speaker 3 (55:03):
Cool?
Speaker 1 (55:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (55:04):
No, yeah, it is cool, without doubt, but thirty years
of it. You know, it started thirty years ago. It
was me with Danielle and Scary and Scotty b. And
then a lot of people came and went, and now
here we are, in my opinion, our favorite family we've
had in thirty years. Right now, this is this is cool,
(55:24):
this is great. And all the people we've interviewed over
these thirty years, the people who've come through these hallways
and their careers were born on this show. Some of
them died on this show. And all the all the
music that was shared in the studios that we worked in,
all the different studios we worked in here in New
York and New Jersey.
Speaker 11 (55:43):
We've watched grow up like you know, yeah, it's crazy and.
Speaker 6 (55:49):
Yeah, thirty years ago.
Speaker 3 (55:51):
Babies, Well it makes me sad is I was grown
up then? So what does that make me now? And
then you know, you look at all these other benchmarks
of these thirty years. It was twenty years ago we
started on why one hundred in Miami when Froggy came
in as as a member of the family.
Speaker 13 (56:08):
It was and I think in May sixth I believe
will be exactly twenty years we've been on WYLD.
Speaker 3 (56:13):
Wow. So celebrating twenty years is a major thing. But
we're celebrating thirty years. And then was it seven years
ago you joined Uscondhi?
Speaker 4 (56:20):
It'll be yeah, seven and a half right now, it'll
be eight in September.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Oh my god, I can't believe it. Yeah, and Nate's
been here for I don't even know how many years
we've been. Wow. Well there's that wo And we still
have people trickling in. It's got a great we've got
a great thing going in. Anyway, we thought it'd be
kind of cool to not make a huge, massive deal
out of our thirty year anniversary but invite some of
our favorite friends to come in and talk about their
(56:47):
memories of being here years and years ago. There was
someone actually who contacted us who said she wanted to
be on with us. And we're about to talk to Pink.
How do you like that. So as we celebrate thirty years,
we're gonna creak up zoom. Pink is down the street
at home, and let's get into Pink. Let's go back
(57:08):
in time, shall we? Good party from the sea. Body,
I think we should talk to Pink. Mariah, Carrie Sleepers
is here, Jason Durud, We welcome Britney Spears, Serena Carpenter,
just Bet, Katie Perry, Jennifer. As we celebrate thirty long years,
(57:30):
it's one direction, Guy Ariana Grande, make.
Speaker 13 (57:33):
Share Lady Gaga from the top of the Empire State Building.
Speaker 3 (57:38):
Elvis duran since the guy who's been posting this show turning, are.
Speaker 17 (57:43):
Celebrating thirty years of Elvis Durant in the Morning show.
Speaker 3 (57:50):
So we've interviewed you. We can't even count the times, Pink.
But our co host and best friend Gandhi here, you
are her favorite. She's never interviewed you ever. This is
her first time.
Speaker 4 (58:00):
Yeah, I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (58:01):
Why is it, Gandhi? What about that? It makes you
so excited?
Speaker 4 (58:04):
So many things? So I think that in.
Speaker 11 (58:05):
A world of oh I hate compliments, Okay, stop listening.
Speaker 4 (58:11):
I'm telling the world, not you. I think that you
are real and authentic, and that is a big deal
to me because I think it's really easy to just
be you know, like sugary pop princess, and it's probably
tougher to be real about things and say what's actually
on your mind in the world that we live in.
And I like that you just do it unapologetically, which
is a good example for I'm sure your kids, for me,
for anybody that has, you know, grown up listening to you.
(58:33):
I think it's awesome. Thank you, You're welcome you that.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
Well, she's doing what she's been trying to do all
these years. Just say thank you, it's okay you Actually.
Speaker 19 (58:44):
I actually had a discussion with my daughter and son
the other day about maybe choosing your battles, which is
new for me.
Speaker 3 (58:54):
Well, a couple of things I want to cover here.
First of all, of course, you were a nominee for
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of twin
twenty six. I'm a voter for the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame and I voted for you. I just
want you to know, I.
Speaker 6 (59:06):
Don't think you were supposed to say that.
Speaker 3 (59:07):
Don't I don't care, kick me out, fire mean whatever.
I also voted for Maria Carrie didn't get it, so
obviously my vote is nothing, nothing really.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
But shad Day got in and.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
Shaw Day. I remember the old show day days. She
would come out on stage wearing no shoes. I'm thinking, girl,
you're gonna get some some kind of worm crawling up
your toenails. But she was always so cool.
Speaker 19 (59:31):
She's incredible, and she's always marched to the beat of
her own drum, and there's no one like her.
Speaker 2 (59:37):
I'm happy for her.
Speaker 19 (59:39):
I felt too young to be doing this whole thing
so far, but maybe maybe in ten years or so.
Speaker 3 (59:45):
Okay, when you're old and krusty, I'll vote for you. Then. Uh,
let's see living in New York now, welcome. She's right
up the street from air hosting the Tonys. That's gonna
be a lot of fun. I didn't know you're such
a big Broadway fan. Are you a huge Broadway fan?
Speaker 2 (59:58):
I've always been a broad.
Speaker 19 (01:00:01):
My mom used to save up her money once a
year and take me in Philadelphia off Broadway and we
would go see fanom of the Opera and Le Miz
and Lakaje a full I've seen fan maybe ten times,
but I always wanted to be Cosette before I was nine.
I told my mom, if I wasn't Cosette by the
time I was nine or on Star Search, I wasn't
gonna be cute anymore and my life would be over now.
(01:00:23):
And all my shows to the way I put my
shows together, it's sort of like rock opera theater extravaganza,
and I always try to mix that in and circus,
I guess. But now Widlow is obsessed and she's She's
actually taught me a lot in the last couple of
years about musical theater, and we're kind of obsessed.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
And you know what.
Speaker 19 (01:00:45):
Also, this year, I'm doing this thing where I just
say yes, I've always just been a touring artist. I've
been a touring artist forever, and I just wanted to
do other things and be creative and have some fun.
Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
So I'm just doing weird, awesome stuff.
Speaker 11 (01:00:59):
I love the fact that you've I have up and
moved to New York because Willow loves to be immersed
in the Broadway world so much, and so you're like,
you know what, let's go, let's just do this.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
She's followed me around my whole life. It's her turn.
She's also really talented. If she wasn't. I told her
I wouldn't go anywhere.
Speaker 19 (01:01:15):
But she hates the fact that anybody would think of
her as a nepo baby because she she works so hard.
And I told her, you know what, that stuff will
get you in the door, but it won't keep you there.
So just put your head down, do your work. Women
have to work harder anyway. So just do your work.
Be kind, and the second you open your mouth, people
will be like, oh, she's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
What did I say on the show yesterday? I wish
Pink was my mom. Yeah, I'm old enough to be
her granddad. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
How do we make no, you're not.
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
We got to figure this out. Oh yes, I am.
I started when I was young.
Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
How has the city been treating you? I know it's
a big difference, moving West coast all the way East coast.
Speaker 19 (01:01:54):
Honestly, I'm from outside of Philadelphia. I feel like the
East Coast gets a bad rap. Everyone is so nice,
nice here, like all right, I think maybe New Yorkers
are a little bit nicer than people.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
But it's been it's been really fun.
Speaker 19 (01:02:09):
I always joke that it's overwhelming because I have no
boundaries and I've been to everything twice. There's so much
to do here and I can't not but no, it's
been wonderful.
Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
It's been it's been really fun. I'm tired.
Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
That's the whole point. So if you're walking down the
streets to New York you see Paint, say hi, don't
be a stranger, but don't embarrass yourself and run up
to her like groper.
Speaker 19 (01:02:32):
That's okay, Yeah, don't do that. That won't be a
fun day for you.
Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
And I like that. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
I read a story the other day about somebody that
was on the subway. Oh it was Lin Manuel Miranda.
Speaker 19 (01:02:47):
Someone leaned over on the subway and showed their phone,
which was just they had written a tech They wanted
to show them a text message with their son or
something about how much of a fan. But he didn't
want to make a scene on the subway, so he
just let him read his phone.
Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
I was like, that's very New York. That's very cool.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
Yeah, that's right, that we're so cool. It's New Yorkers cool.
Speaker 8 (01:03:08):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
Another thing I want to talk about real quick is
the fact that artists out there must freak the hell
out when they catch you doing one of their songs.
For instance, I mean a Million Dreams, one of my
favorite songs of all time. We had the little kids
sing that at my wedding, and you did that with
will as well.
Speaker 19 (01:03:24):
Right the video of her with the orchestra recording that
song when she was a little baby.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
If I need to cry, I just watch that. She's
so sweet on that song.
Speaker 19 (01:03:35):
I like covering other people's songs, especially females.
Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
I remember when we did River.
Speaker 19 (01:03:39):
We did it for an entire tour and Bishop was
just so stoked. And I'm such a fan of Bishop
Briggs and I love her. I mean wild Horses. I
think that's what it's called River. She just writes the
most Nciana.
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Is it Spiro or Spiro, It's Spiro. She's so good
and that song is so beautiful. And one of my
friend's teenagers said that to me. I was like, you
need to do this. I was like, yes, I do.
Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
I love so when when pinked at that incredible run
for a week on Kelly Clarkson Show, you were performing
these songs and you did die on this hill, the
seeing a spiral song, hold on, I have it?
Speaker 4 (01:04:13):
Is this as weird to you as hearing compliments? When
you hear yourself sing.
Speaker 19 (01:04:17):
No, I can handle hearing myself sing. I cannot handle
my speaking voice.
Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
Oh oh, I think we're all.
Speaker 6 (01:04:22):
We all feel that way, and we do radio for
a living.
Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
Yeah, I want to leave messages. I can't. I can't hand.
Speaker 19 (01:04:28):
I couldn't watch the Kelly Clarkson Show because I don't.
I can only watch the singing bits.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Oh, you did so great as an interviewer, and I
was thinking, maybe she's warming up to have her own
show or something. A lot of people were saying that,
were you just constantly swatten that flyaway or again?
Speaker 19 (01:04:42):
It was like it was just a thing that they
asked me to do, And I was like, why not.
I'm in my why not faced?
Speaker 6 (01:05:00):
You see, just hold on.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
To nice.
Speaker 3 (01:05:16):
Hey, you want to go off? Here's she got? Told me?
Speaker 6 (01:05:20):
How many do.
Speaker 18 (01:05:24):
You don't.
Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
A little different, a little different than the way she.
Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Does it, But it's so incredible.
Speaker 19 (01:05:45):
I mean, I sing in such a like an old
school way, and then all the cool kids now sing
so much cooler, and I can't.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
I've tried it, and I'm like, I can't. I sound
like the Golden Girls compared to Sianna.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
I like the way be Arthur. You have that be
Arthur soal.
Speaker 6 (01:06:04):
Have you ever had an.
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
Artist be like, damn it, pink, please don't cover my
song because you do it so much better than me,
not saying that that's what just happened, but you.
Speaker 19 (01:06:11):
Know, no, no, no, but I see what you did there.
Isn't it fun when everyone takes your words and then
just punishes you for every single one of them.
Speaker 3 (01:06:21):
Yeah, it happens every day. Well, when Sienna spins on
with us in a few weeks, I'm gonna play.
Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
This for her, tell her I love her.
Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
Why don't you come up?
Speaker 19 (01:06:30):
Actually, she's actually probably really sick of people talking about it, honestly.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
He's like, I wrote that song, I say that song.
Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
Shut up about pink Pink. This is our officially our
thirtieth anniversary doing the show. We've been doing the show
for thirty years here at one hundred in New York,
and you've been amazing part of it. For me.
Speaker 19 (01:06:49):
I feel like, what does that feel like when you
say things like that, because it feels crazy when I
see all these anniversary posts of like can't take me
Home it's twenty six years old, I'm like, they do.
Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
You're still out there you're working. We're still working.
Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
Awesome.
Speaker 19 (01:07:05):
We feel very blessed, right, We're very lucky to do
what we do and to have runs as hod as
we've had them.
Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
And you know, I'm not slowing down. I'm still very hungry.
Speaker 19 (01:07:16):
I don't know how y'all were thirty years ago when
you started, but it's like some of the decisions that
we've made in the hard work that we've done for me,
it helps me really respect myself and respect you know,
the grind and the work.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
That's been put in and the time and hours. Think
about how many hours.
Speaker 19 (01:07:33):
You guys have put into this, and you've given your
life to it, and your families have shaped around it,
and it's it's something to be really proud of, something.
Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
To be really really genuinely proud of. So congratulations.
Speaker 7 (01:07:46):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
How nervous are you now watching your daughter step into
a similar lane?
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
You know, she's tough, man.
Speaker 19 (01:07:54):
I don't really worry about her. She's the smartest person
in the room. So I go out and I do
all this like death to stuff on stage and I
am singing, and I know what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
I know exactly what I'm doing. I know when I'm
doing it. How I'm doing it? And then I did
Radio City with.
Speaker 19 (01:08:08):
Her and Hugh Jackman, and I walked out, and I
was so nervous because I was no longer thinking about myself.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
I was thinking about her and her experience and what
must this be like?
Speaker 19 (01:08:20):
She's fourteen, even though to me she's thirty three, and
she's on Radio City stage, she's living her dream.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Is she overwhelmed? Is she okay? Is this the right
thing to be doing?
Speaker 19 (01:08:33):
Is she ready for And then she opens her mouth
and I'm like, I don't even need to be here.
I'm just going to be over here in the corner
getting my heel stuck in the stage.
Speaker 11 (01:08:43):
Have you ever like thought and said, you know what,
maybe I should tell her not to go in that
direction and go away from performing.
Speaker 19 (01:08:50):
I would never tell anybody not to do something. I mean,
I might have told her that if she wanted to
be a.
Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
Freestyle motorcross rider. But she's so specifically in.
Speaker 19 (01:09:01):
Her lane with Broadway and musical theater that she really
doesn't want to be associated with. She's had so many options, right,
she could have done so many things, and she's like,
I just don't want to do that. I want to
do this, and I want to go to school for this,
and I want to do this.
Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
I want to dedicate and I'm like, that's awesome. Do it.
Speaker 6 (01:09:21):
Does she have a favorite show right now on Broadway?
Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Oh, dear lord, Lost Boys right now, I would say, and.
Speaker 6 (01:09:26):
You were just a Anne Juliet, weren't you guys back there?
Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
It was so good. I can't believe it's taken me
this long to see it. It's so good.
Speaker 19 (01:09:34):
And I got to see Candy Burst, which was a
full circle. She wrote there you Go, my very first
single with me, and I got to see her singing
perfect on Broadway.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
It was a while.
Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
If anyone ever says to me, hey, Elvis, oh my god,
you just said something. You sound just like your mom,
I'd be like, thank you. That's really sweet. But do
you ever hear people say, oh my god, Pank, you
sound just like your daughter. You just said something your
daughter would have said. It sounds like you. No, that
kind of interesting relationship with each other.
Speaker 19 (01:10:02):
No, I mean she's wiser than me already. She's she's crazy.
I love her so much. I was complaining the other
day and she was like, well, I hate to lighten.
Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
The mood, but I was like, oh, that's that's savage.
Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Okay, I love that relationship you have with her. Let
me play a piece of sound for you, Pink. You're
on our show October tenth, twenty seventeen. Wow was that
the last time no Eve been on since then? But
you were talking about your relationship with your kids? So
that was nine years ago? Right?
Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
It was five? What was it? What was?
Speaker 5 (01:10:35):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Did I even know?
Speaker 3 (01:10:36):
But let me let me let me play the clip
in what you said. This could be interesting. I hope
she's listening to you with us right now. Here's what
you said. It seems like you have a great relationship
with your kids. Were awesome. Yeah, I hit the lottery.
I'm so grateful, well as they did with you.
Speaker 19 (01:10:50):
Well if I yeah, I'm gonna I'm glad this is
recorded so I can play it back to her in
about six years.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
And there you have it. The funny we found that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
I still I feel that way.
Speaker 19 (01:11:01):
There's so many times in the day where I just
go like, I'm in such a state of gratitude. I
had such a different childhood and that's not I'm not
saying that my parents were terrible or anything. It was
just a different era. We were raised differently our parents had.
My parents had a different set of circumstances to work with,
and therapy wasn't really a thing.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
And yeah, I get to be a part.
Speaker 19 (01:11:24):
Of my kids' lives every day, and I'm I'm super
into them as people. And maybe it's I don't want
to say it's in spite of the way I was raised.
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Maybe it's you shush.
Speaker 19 (01:11:36):
Maybe it's like a product of some of that obviously, right,
like things that we remember that we didn't like.
Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
I just try to just let them be this whole
human and I'm so into them. I feel so lucky now.
Speaker 19 (01:11:51):
I'm feeling time right, I'm like, oh, well, I was
fourteen and she's talking about what college she wants to
go to. And Jamison's nine and he's not abe anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
He still lets me kiss him at school.
Speaker 6 (01:12:02):
Drum, Oh that's gonna change because my my too.
Speaker 11 (01:12:06):
My one is twenty one and the other one is seventeen,
and I the seventeen year old. I said the other day,
don't you remember when you told me you'd always give
mommy hugs and kisses always?
Speaker 6 (01:12:14):
And he just kind of looked at me. I was
just like, yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
Help me back to that one. Hey, wait, who did
you tell you hush? You told someone in the room
to hush?
Speaker 19 (01:12:23):
Who was that my three point six pound doggie?
Speaker 3 (01:12:29):
Like he do you weigh your dog daily to find
out what the weight is?
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
What they told me, And I'm really into it. You
want to see him? His name's Tater to.
Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
What kind of let's see look at Tater.
Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Tot Okay, here was the New York He was a
New York.
Speaker 3 (01:12:43):
Fund fine, like off the street.
Speaker 19 (01:12:50):
Hi, buddy, he's my dog, baby, go baby when he's
not yapping.
Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
So gndhi. Look, look, Pink has great kids, great relationship
with kids, and a dog. You and I can have
that together. Okay, let's have kids. I'm trying to talk
around having kids with me.
Speaker 2 (01:13:08):
Seriously, is that allowed?
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Pink? The word I always walk away from our times
together is the word authentic And you know what you're
living it and it's it's a lesson. It's a lesson
for all of us. Well, thank you for being with you.
Speaker 19 (01:13:28):
I when everyone called me, I was like, hey, it's
Elvis Durance.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
I was like, yes, anything. I've had the most fun
with you, guys.
Speaker 19 (01:13:34):
It's always been since the very beginning I don't remember
what year it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
Would have been that was the first time on that show.
Speaker 19 (01:13:40):
But I was such a fish out of water in
my own skin back then, and I just didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Really know how to do any of this.
Speaker 19 (01:13:48):
And y'all always made me feel so at home and
so seen and so welcomed, And that's that's a mutual feeling.
Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
I appreciate you just as much.
Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
I love that. Thank you.
Speaker 19 (01:13:59):
That's truly, it's really really true, because I'm not a
morning person.
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Were a soft landing.
Speaker 3 (01:14:06):
I want you to request a Pink song, any song,
any song. You can go old school if you want.
If you heard of playing one day, I'm going to
turn that up. I like this song. Oh wait, that's me.
What song would that?
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
I always love what about us?
Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
There you go, excellent, We're going to play it.
Speaker 19 (01:14:24):
And if you have the vision, if you have the
remix version that I did on tour, that's a fun one.
Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Scary would you find that place? Yes? Absolutely, we'll play.
Speaker 19 (01:14:32):
Hey, thanks, and then would you tell me what it
is so I know how to describe it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
Pink Happy anniversary to us, and it would thank you.
Speaker 17 (01:14:45):
Elvis Duran who maybe you'll calm down a little and
the Morning Show, What's.
Speaker 14 (01:14:54):
Up, It's Scary Jones. I'm now six shots in on
my GLP one journey, and I'm proud to report that people,
I was starting to notice that I've lost a little weight.
I hadn't seen one of my friends for three months,
and I was on the roof of the pull deck
on vacation and he came over to me and he
was like, I was staring at you for five minutes
scary before I came up to you, because I wasn't
sure it was you. You dropped some weight. I was flattered.
(01:15:14):
Now I'm feeling really great as I'm getting these early results.
I'm super energized, and I'm really grateful for my friends
at Orderly Meds because they keep texting me, checking in
with me, making sure everything's okay.
Speaker 3 (01:15:25):

Speaker 17 (01:16:06):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (01:16:08):
I can't get over it. How how incredibly fortunate are we?
We should be grateful moments like we just had with
Pink Pink on the Zoom from her apartment down the street,
talking about her her years and years and years of
being with us on our show. I love it.
Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
Yeah, and just doing this for thirty years, you guys,
that's insane. Yeah, Like I'm in awe from I guess
from the inside of it. But I can't imagine. I
don't think there are a lot of programs in entertainment
that have been together with huge pieces of the original
cast for thirty years.
Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
Well, can we go back to the insane part about that?
It is insane? What are we thinking? What is this
going on here for thirty years? Well read yeah, I
mean yeah, I mean no.
Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
So I was just talking to our friends from Bred's
bakery when they were out there and they said, is
this the best job ever? It is the best job ever.
I've had other jobs. I know this for a fact.
It's the best job. And you guys have gotten to
do it for thirty years together. That's pretty awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
It's always changing, It's always we always have new challenges
rolling our way. Yeah, you know, and it's it's that's
what makes it interesting because at the end of the day,
it's a four hour show. We do every single morning,
Monday through Friday, and after a while some people would
think that is kind of tedious. It's like, you know,
making the sausage. It's the same thing every day. It's not. Yeah,
(01:17:26):
it's a blank sleep. Yeah, it evolves. It all depends
on the what moved. Danielle's in, Oh, yeah, exactly. Every
day changes every day. No, we've had a lot of fun.
We've you know, this has been an experience that unless
you're doing it, you can't really know, you can't really
describe it. So anyway, we're.
Speaker 6 (01:17:45):
Very so many memories.
Speaker 3 (01:17:48):
God, I'm thinking about how many memories I don't even
have any more. That's a huge thing. Well, yeah, but
if you don't remember, then you don't remember, so I
don't know if it happened. If you remember it happened,
it didn't happen anyway. So we have other artists and
some more of our friends that we poping in and
out from time to time as we celebrate our thirty
(01:18:08):
year anniversary. Pretty cool. God, I'd love to go around
the room with you, but I have to tell you
we are in the middle, actually at the very end
of tabulating the votes. We were talking earlier about the
mount Rushmore of boy bands, and you've been texting in
all morning. I know Diamond has been watching closely on
(01:18:29):
the text. Diamond, what are you seeing so far? What
is the mount Rushmore of boy bands? All that?
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
Right?
Speaker 9 (01:18:36):
Are you ready? As of right now? It literally changed
maybe maybe fifteen minutes.
Speaker 5 (01:18:40):
Ago, and I was show okay, shock, okay, okay, so
number one wait, start the other way, Diamond down, okay, fine,
God fine, well, okay fine.
Speaker 6 (01:18:52):
So there was a little razzle dazzle with number four.
Speaker 9 (01:18:55):
Number four for basically all morning up until twenty minutes
ago was boys to men.
Speaker 6 (01:19:02):
Okay, it's switched to buy.
Speaker 9 (01:19:05):
A hair literally to guess who can sane?
Speaker 6 (01:19:11):
I know, insane?
Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
Right in Saint number four and Sync is insane. According
to Diamond, Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:19:17):
It is insane.
Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
The sincers just woke up.
Speaker 6 (01:19:20):
So number three new kids on the block.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
Not really a.
Speaker 20 (01:19:24):
Fan, but happy for you guys, all right, they were
they were way back at the beginning of this thing. Okay,
number two, you guys really upset these this fan base.
Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
One Direction is number two.
Speaker 4 (01:19:38):
I believe it.
Speaker 9 (01:19:41):
Danna and Abby, we're texting over and over.
Speaker 3 (01:19:43):
Show Okay, we're so number one.
Speaker 4 (01:19:46):
Number one, my favorite of all time.
Speaker 1 (01:19:48):
Next four.
Speaker 3 (01:19:52):
B SB number one on the Mount Rushmore.
Speaker 4 (01:19:57):
Dorust her calculation, Yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:20:02):
And I wouldn't mind seeing some more diversity here.
Speaker 4 (01:20:05):
To be honest, Yeah, I didn't believe be two K
didn't make it anywhere. This is crazy.
Speaker 9 (01:20:11):
Votes.
Speaker 6 (01:20:11):
There were two votes to trust, there were three.
Speaker 3 (01:20:17):
I don't know, so if you okay? So she just
gave us the countdown the Mount Rushmore of boy bands,
number four and Sync, number three, n KOTB, number two,
one Direction, and number one Backstreet Boys. So what is
your Mount Rushmore? What about you? Gandhi? Do you have one?
Speaker 6 (01:20:33):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:20:33):
Shoot yeah, I mean boys and men would be on
there for sure. I would be two K. I think
I would go with Backstreet Boys and inn Sync?
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Wow? Yeah, okay, what about you scary.
Speaker 14 (01:20:47):
Backstreet Boys and Sync, New Kids on the Block and
Jonas Brothers.
Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
Okay, all right, Danielle, I.
Speaker 6 (01:20:55):
Think I might think I'm with Scary would be the
same exact one.
Speaker 3 (01:20:58):
Sorry, yeah, what about you, producer, Sam, do you have
an opinion here?
Speaker 1 (01:21:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:21:05):
I'm throwing the Beatles on there because waiting to say
to go that far back and then I didn't know
there was a cut off.
Speaker 3 (01:21:13):
Okay, well we'll let her break the rules.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
Okay, and then in Sync and Backstreet Boys?
Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Yes, yeah, see I'm missing Boys to Men? Who's on
mine in mind? All right? There you get one d
out and uh yeah, Boys to Men b t M.
And I've never heard them called that. All right, well,
it doesn't matter. Well, the reason we started talking about
this is episode one of boy Band Confidential. I watched
(01:21:40):
it last night on HBO Max. It is interesting and
it's you know, there's gonna be some blood not bloodshired.
There's gonna be some tears shed during this series. I
can already tell there's a lot of emotions coming up,
uh in this in these episodes, and I'm looking forward
to seeing it, so check it out. Shall we go
around the room? Yeah, let's do it. What's on the mind?
(01:22:02):
The mind's are the people in the room. Why don't
start with you, producer Sam? What are you thinking about today?
Speaker 7 (01:22:05):
Okay? How many times do you have to pass a
famous person in a row, like days in a row
before you say something to them? Because there's a famous
person in my area and he's trying to be incognito.
Daniell's laughing because she knows who it is, and I
keep saying, I like, how many times do I see
him before I say something? I saw him at this
point three times in one week, two days in a row.
Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
And he's trying to be very forever anything. You don't
say anything, universe put us so close.
Speaker 6 (01:22:33):
My favorite is the two things she actually wants.
Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
To say to him, Well, who is it?
Speaker 7 (01:22:38):
I don't he lives in my area and it very
clearly tries to be low key, So I don't want
to say who it is.
Speaker 4 (01:22:42):
We all live in the same area. I'll text you,
I'll tell you. I don't want to pleasure it.
Speaker 3 (01:22:47):
I tell the world who is it?
Speaker 4 (01:22:49):
No, No, I feel bad. I can't do that.
Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
Neighbor, Why would you bring this up in that I'm
so sorry all this.
Speaker 7 (01:22:56):
I couldn't help, but it happened ten minutes ago.
Speaker 3 (01:22:57):
So I'm gonna like you this is this is your
last strike. I'm going to suspend you for several.
Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
Weeks later on pregnancy.
Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
There you go, Well, okay, it so happens during your
suspension if you could pop that baby out your maternity leave.
Well I know. But now, well, here's the thing. If
you can't share it with us, then maybe you shouldn't
be talking to this person. That's a fair sign. Okay,
it might have to break that rule.
Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
But I'll let you know. I think it's if it's
a neighbor. If you're going to see this person all
the time, you said it to him, right, if you
see him often, at some point you could just be
neighborly and say hello.
Speaker 3 (01:23:32):
And he probably doesn't know who you are, so if
you said who it was, it probably wouldn't matter. So
who is it?
Speaker 14 (01:23:38):
Now?
Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
Why can't you say who it is? I don't understand.
Speaker 6 (01:23:42):
I'll text you.
Speaker 7 (01:23:43):
Because he's always walking around with the hat and the
glasses like, it's very clear he's trying to be incognito,
and i'd feel bad.
Speaker 4 (01:23:50):
Oh, they're also they're currently filming something near us. I
don't know what it is, but they're in my way
everywhere we go. It's driving me insane.
Speaker 3 (01:23:56):
Okay, all right, well, thank you, thank you for that,
very very a big let down with your around the room.
Speaker 4 (01:24:00):
So happy to be a disappointment.
Speaker 3 (01:24:04):
Once again, Gandhi, what's up with you?
Speaker 1 (01:24:05):
All Right?
Speaker 4 (01:24:06):
It's Wednesday. That means I get to be very self
serving and tell Edwind to please go listen to my
podcast Sauce on the side, because I have a very
special guest today and it's actually the longest episode I
have ever posted. I was gonna split it into two,
but I didn't because it's Elvis Duran and when I
was editing this episode, I was like, oh, I'm just
gonna make it a lot shorter, and I couldn't because
I feel like we talked about so much cool stuff,
(01:24:28):
interesting stuff about you. We really get to know you
and your thoughts on things. And I would love everybody
to go listen to that, because I think if you're
listening to the show, you probably like Elvis.
Speaker 3 (01:24:37):
It's weird. It's really weird being interviewed, is it. I'm
not used to that that's not what I do well
by anyone. I don't like answering questions about me.
Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
I like it.
Speaker 6 (01:24:47):
I liked it.
Speaker 3 (01:24:48):
We went down a lot of great, great avenues, and
it was very interesting to be on that side of it.
Of course, to be a part of your uh, your
podcast Sauce on the Side, which is an excellent podcast.
I've always been holy totally a fan of all your
other interviews, and then I had to be sitting in
a hot seat. That was kind of weird.
Speaker 4 (01:25:04):
I loved it, and thank you for joining me. So
Sauce on the Side. Wherever you get your podcasts, please
go listen.
Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
There you go. Hey, what about you, straight Nate? What's
on your mind today? Do you need some motivation today? Anybody?
Speaker 13 (01:25:15):
Yes, yes, yes, absolutely good for it. Okay, So I've
been seeing a trainer. I know you have one Elvis,
I know scary you've been using one, and you know
I work out a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
And finally I realized.
Speaker 13 (01:25:25):
I kind of plateaued. I wasn't seeing any games. So
I got this guy named Byron, very attractive man. He's
from Greece. He's got the best accent ever. And so
when we start working out, we start a set and
as soon as I'm about to go, he says this
to me, goes, let's make it happen. And I've just
started to say that to myself throughout the day. When
(01:25:48):
I have a task that I don't want to do,
I say to myself, let's make it happen, because it
just kind of gives me that push that, you know
what you gotta do it. You don't want to do it,
You're gonna feel better after you though, so.
Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
Just let's okay, make it happen. Let's make it happen.
Do we all agree with me? Make it?
Speaker 13 (01:26:07):
Get something later today that you don't want to do
something right now, just say yourself, let's make it happen.
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Thank you. Motivating Nate. I like that, Danielle, what about you?
Speaker 11 (01:26:16):
So when we were in England, they had something called
the Kitty Cafe, and apparently they do have this in
some other places around here.
Speaker 6 (01:26:24):
I was like, I need to open one of these.
It was the coolest thing. You paid a couple of bucks.
Speaker 11 (01:26:28):
You went in and you had tea and coffee and
like cakes, surrounded by cats just doing their thing. And
the cats come over to you and you play with
them with toys and they sit there and they even
have employee of the month.
Speaker 6 (01:26:42):
It's obviously a cat that's the employee of the month.
Speaker 11 (01:26:45):
But it was the coolest thing to be part of.
And I was like, this is awesome, and it was
colorful and it was.
Speaker 6 (01:26:51):
Fun, and everybody who went in there was in such
a great mood.
Speaker 11 (01:26:54):
The cats just put everybody in such a great mood.
So it was called the Kiddy Cafe. I thought it
was the cutest concept. I'm like, need to open one
of these. How fun would this babe?
Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
You know, there are so many cafes, especially in New
York City outdoor naturally because of the laws and health code.
There are pets around, and there are so many people
who love having a dog sitting at the table next
to them. Just having it in your area is kind
of a great thing. Or a cat in this gay
well some people. Some people hate it. They're very outspoken.
I remember one time on Max's birthday, I had him
(01:27:25):
outside at Walker's and he and I were sitting at
the table and Linda are our favorite weddress, was there
and brought him some chicken for his birthday, put a
candle in it, and the lady at the table next
to us. Oh God, look at that dog eating at
the table. You know what? Then I realized it does.
It does gross people out. There are some people who
are online of that. I get it. I get it.
(01:27:46):
That's why we need more kiddy cafes and more more
doggie diners or whatever.
Speaker 4 (01:27:52):
I'm like, doggy diner. Hell yeah, kitty cafe.
Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
Is not good. You need you serve all one all love. Anyway,
Kinny Cafe. I'm gonna go because I like cats to
What about you, scary, what's on your mind today? Well,
Nate was talking about working out earlier.
Speaker 14 (01:28:07):
What about working out using just a chair, like sitting
down and working out? Guess what?
Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
They have this thing called.
Speaker 14 (01:28:14):
The tie cheat chair workouts and now there's millions of
videos on them where you can get healthy and have
so many benefits just from doing crazy moves by sitting down.
I really feel like this is my speed. I want
to I want to explore this. It's good for like
you know, mental cognitive stuff, but it also has cardiovascular
benefits and you can help your mobility and joint health.
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
I think this is the thing. I'm gonna be looking
at it. Well, just look at this. You're sitting right now.
It's like you're working out right now, Scary. That was
the next thing I was gonna say.
Speaker 14 (01:28:44):
We could be doing the Morning Show and killing two
birds with one stone by doing taie chee chair workouts
while we're on the air. What do you say, you
facebook one, you lead the way.
Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
I like how you say you could learn all sorts
of stuff like your cognitive.
Speaker 4 (01:29:01):
Junk, your mental cognitive things.
Speaker 14 (01:29:04):
Mental cognitive stuff you know produces stress and anxiety and mental.
Speaker 3 (01:29:09):
We could all use that. All right, let's get the
chair exercises going. Thank you, Scary, you lead the way,
Lead the way. Hey, we've got sound with Garrett on
the way. Danielle, what do you have coming up?
Speaker 6 (01:29:19):
We are going to talk about what do I have?
Speaker 11 (01:29:22):
He oh, I can't even read my handwriting American music
nominations and Timothy Shallow may actually helping the opera.
Speaker 6 (01:29:30):
Into ballet and maybe the ballet too.
Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
Data more on the way we roll it.
Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
Want to hear.
Speaker 17 (01:29:36):
Something slightly more unhinged in the Morning Show. Elvister Rands
After Party, a podcast we record daily when the Morning
Show is finished.
Speaker 4 (01:29:47):
He's literally pastry.
Speaker 17 (01:29:50):
Elvister Rands After Party listen on the iHeartRadio app or
wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 1 (01:29:56):
Elvis.
Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
You know, paust Tonight doesn't have to be a complicated
night as far as cooking, and that's why we love
We love pasta Night and Dono Danielle does. Yes, and
of course we love the pasta sauces from our friend
Peter Harris and his family, the same people who brought
us our favorite grainberry cereal in grainberry pancake and muff
and mix. Now they have their Silver Palate pasta sauce. Yes,
(01:30:21):
love them.
Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
It's so delicient.
Speaker 11 (01:30:22):
It's all made with vine ripened tomatoes and a taste
homemade with real ingredients and there's no added sugar, which
is something that I totally love.
Speaker 6 (01:30:30):
I love that stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:30:31):
They have their San Marzano marinara. It's legendary, but you
can't go wrong with their low sodium marinara as well.
They've got creamy vodka sauce. I always add a little
extra dot vodka to my vodka sauce. And they have
their classic tomato basil as well.
Speaker 11 (01:30:46):
And then you can even make coalmade pizza because they
actually have pizza sauce for Pizza Knight, and so you
can get it anywhere. I think you're I think I
get into my regular grocery store all the time.
Speaker 6 (01:30:56):
That's where they have it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:57):
Still definitely definitely a Whole Foods, so these aren't standing sauces.
Thank you to Peter and his family straight from Italy.
They also got Cochina Antica, which is their fresh, balanced
flavor in organic cobello made with one hundred percent organic ingredients.
They have it all. So if you want to check
out the incredible line of silver Palette pasta sauce from
our friend Peter and his family, check him out everywhere,
(01:31:19):
especially over at Whole Food.
Speaker 1 (01:31:23):
Elvis Duran in the morning show, So.
Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
We're trying to figure out when did we start the show.
We're celebrating our thirtieth anniversary. We think we know it's
around thirty years. Now we know it's thirty years. And
what I was trying to say is the song was
still on. Let's get Tom Pullman on the line. But
no one's paying attention to me, Like, no one's paid
attention for thirty friggin years. So that's been consistent.
Speaker 4 (01:31:51):
That's nice consistency.
Speaker 1 (01:31:53):
Ski.
Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
Well, you know, we tried to call Tom though Nate
he never picks up. So I don't know because he
hears us talking about it. I'm not gonna pick it up.
Don't talk about my vast me.
Speaker 6 (01:32:02):
Yeah, on our show.
Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
It was a huge. It was a ratings grabber anyway.
So Tom Pulman is the president of something here at iHeart,
but he's the one who put us on the air
thirty years ago. And so there's a debate as to
what the date is. So some are saying that Tom
will say that it was the day his daughter was born,
(01:32:27):
and so he knows the date, okay, But Scary and
Scotty B say no, it was a month later.
Speaker 19 (01:32:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:32:34):
There's a difference of a month.
Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
We think that it was an early May date.
Speaker 6 (01:32:39):
Why do you think that?
Speaker 21 (01:32:40):
Well, I get a pop up on Facebook every year
that says, oh, twenty two years ago today the show started.
So that's you know, that's the date that I go by.
But I won't know till it pops up. But we
don't know who that. We don't know who put that
in there. They could have been wrong, right, I mean
I put it in there, and I've been here forever.
Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
Well, okay, all right.
Speaker 14 (01:32:59):
I mean I would not against the boss, though, I
mean what what I think? What Tom Pulman says is
that I don't mind.
Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
I don't mind going games the boss. I have no
problem with that.
Speaker 4 (01:33:07):
Can you guys just sit in the middle like a compromise?
Speaker 3 (01:33:10):
And is he answering?
Speaker 14 (01:33:11):
Nate?
Speaker 3 (01:33:12):
He never answers. Why do we even try so.
Speaker 4 (01:33:15):
Much to text him and tell him to answer because
maybe our number is coming up?
Speaker 6 (01:33:18):
Private?
Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
Okay, let me hold on a second text Tom Pullman, Okay,
call us now, it's so important, period.
Speaker 4 (01:33:31):
It should be an exclamation for you.
Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
Okay, I said that, we'll see what happened. Call us, Well,
it's so important.
Speaker 6 (01:33:39):
I'm listening.
Speaker 3 (01:33:40):
No, it's not. What are you gonna do?
Speaker 12 (01:33:45):
Well?
Speaker 3 (01:33:45):
So it's weird because here's the thing. The show started
out it was called Elvis and Elliott, and so Elliott
now works in d C at DC one on one.
I was texting with him yesterday. He doesn't know the date.
He's like, well, ask Scary. Scary knows everything. It's He's like, well,
we think it could be this date that day. I
guess thirty years ago. That's so long ago. I can
(01:34:06):
see why we could be confused. Yeah, no, Danielle, you
were here.
Speaker 11 (01:34:09):
Why don't you I don't remember I have I couldn't
tell you.
Speaker 6 (01:34:12):
I you know, I have no idea.
Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
I will say that I graduated. Hold on, hold on,
home hold hire. We're on the air. Don't curse, okay,
and no one else can you? Okay, we're okay. We're
trying to figure out the exact date we started our
morning show. You're saying it was a date your daughter,
Kelly was born.
Speaker 18 (01:34:31):
Well, yeah, that's when we did all of the uh
finalized to all the contracts and also all of the cast.
Speaker 3 (01:34:39):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 18 (01:34:39):
We finally got every bit of together because I went
down to Houston to get my daughter while we were
doing that. So it was kind of like edge to
my stone or edged in stone in my head.
Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
Well, okay, can you check your stone again. Here's here's
the reason why we think that we were on after that.
But so contract signed was not the beginning of the show.
What you mean you mean before that? Or you were
saying April. What is Kelly's birthday?
Speaker 9 (01:35:10):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:35:10):
No, no, no, May seventeenth. Yeah, we say April. We're saying April.
So we had we had you and Elliott right right, and.
Speaker 18 (01:35:20):
Then I think we were getting I think Christine, right,
you know, like when we finally assembled the whole crew.
I think that's when we started. And I remember it
was the week Kelly was born, which was May seventeenth,
so it kind of happened in pieces, I think.
Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
Okay, all right, Well I was speaking with Elliott yesterday
and he can't come on with us until May, so
we're moving it to May May seventeenth. Okay, all right,
all right, well Tom, you're the best. How's that vaseectomy going,
by the way, you know, it's fantastic. Okay, it's still
working years thank god. All right, thank you, Tom, I'll
(01:35:58):
talk to you later. Okay, So there you go. I
still don't know after all that, I don't know when when.
Let's call it seventeen seventeen, May seventeenth. When we did
the twenty.
Speaker 13 (01:36:10):
Fifth anniversary five years ago, I remember, we went through
the same conversation we're having now, and then we finally said,
it's May seventeen.
Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
This is the day.
Speaker 13 (01:36:21):
Write it down, and we obviously didn't remember it, but yeah,
now we do.
Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
Okay, so we okay, so why are we celebrating now?
Speaker 4 (01:36:29):
It's April, right, the whole month of April. We're celebrating.
Speaker 13 (01:36:33):
So this conversation we're having now, we had about three
months ago in an office down the hallway, and nobody
with Mark Adams correct, nobody could definitively hold on.
Speaker 3 (01:36:44):
Wait it was Mark Adams, the program director of the
one hundred, says we have to celebrate in April. Let's
call Mark Adams. Hold on, Mark Adams speaker, mar is
he in the buildings? Is he Here'll be down the
hall all right? Hold on, Scotty B continues to shake
his head. Yeah, I'm trying to find that Facebook post.
I don't know how to get there.
Speaker 13 (01:37:02):
All right, Well, we're on the air.
Speaker 3 (01:37:05):
Please don't use foul language. Okay, okay. So we just
had Tom Pullman on our show and he he says,
our birthday anniversary isn't until May seventeenth, but you told
us we need to celebrate in the month of April.
So we don't know what to do.
Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
Oh yeah, we had a bitter battle.
Speaker 16 (01:37:20):
Calendars were taken out, astrology charts were consulted. It was
it resulted in hand to hand combat.
Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
It was ugly. So should we just do two months
of anniversary so we can do You don't have to
argue anymore. I don't know what to do.
Speaker 16 (01:37:34):
You know, I think you just you settle where we're at.
You celebrate, You put up the balloons in the streamers,
and you live your life.
Speaker 3 (01:37:41):
So you want to have Christmas in July is basically
what you're saying.
Speaker 16 (01:37:44):
That's exactly right. You mean, you got to do what
feels good. You gotta do what feels right. You got
to live for the moment, lean in, have fun.
Speaker 6 (01:37:50):
People to celebrate the year, like it's our thirtieth year.
Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
So it's thirtieth year. We could celebrate all year long.
Speaker 2 (01:37:55):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:37:57):
Okay, thank you, Mark, You've been a great help. We
appreciate it. I'm here for you. Okay. Wow, the internet
is saying April ninety six.
Speaker 14 (01:38:04):
A few people are coming in with that.
Speaker 4 (01:38:07):
It's always right.
Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
It is, that's accuracy. Okay, all right, all right, Well,
so I think Daniel's kind of on to it. This
is our thirtieth year.
Speaker 6 (01:38:19):
That way rate, we're happy we're still here, guys.
Speaker 3 (01:38:22):
Oh yeah, all right, So Nate, what do you think
May seventeen? You know what, you know what, Nate, I'm
gonna go, I'm gonna get in line with Nate May seventeenth.
Speaker 13 (01:38:34):
Vaguely remember, like us arguing for weeks and then finally
just nailing down May seventeen.
Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
So we could have been wrong then, but I don't know.
May seventeen sounds good.
Speaker 4 (01:38:42):
Yeah, Kandi, I gotta think we should switch it up
every year just to keep it fresh, Like put all
the dates in a bag, pull it and that year
that's the date we celebrate.
Speaker 3 (01:38:49):
Okay, Well, I'm glad we had this conversation. We just
took an entire break, an entire break on our show
to talk about what date our birthday is, and we
still think it's May seventeen. Right, We have sound with
Garrett and Danielle coming.
Speaker 1 (01:39:02):
What's up y'all?
Speaker 4 (01:39:03):
Beyonce Hi, this is Taylor's Hi, It's Lady Ganga.
Speaker 1 (01:39:06):

Speaker 4 (01:39:46):
Oh, I'm excited for you to us the parts of it.
Speaker 3 (01:39:49):
Yes, you're the guest. Yeah. See what I actually said
during that interview, I don't remember any of it now, Danielle.
When your podcast for the Disney on Broadway, what's the
name of the professional name of the podcast.
Speaker 6 (01:39:59):
It's called Behind the Magic, Behind.
Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
The Magic, When do Yours come out?
Speaker 11 (01:40:03):
So it's a it's actually a monthly podcast unless I
drop a bonus episode. So like this month, I already
dropped a bonus episode and it just started. So there's
a bonus Aladdin episode that's up right now.
Speaker 3 (01:40:15):
And aren't you talking to someone about a ghost in
a theater here in New York City?
Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
You amstered.
Speaker 11 (01:40:18):
Yeah, we're talking about the ghost that's at the theater
where Aladdin is. The ghost name is Olive and she
haunts them and she's you know, they all are friendly
with her and everything. They tell stories about that, they
tell stories about mishaps, that happen.
Speaker 6 (01:40:34):
You know, you know what you should do stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:40:35):
You should just have a podcast about ghosts in theaters
on Broadway. Actually cool, daniel give me a few of
your headlines and the Danielle Miniature headline report hit the
music scary all right.
Speaker 11 (01:40:46):
Well, Timothy Shallome, you know, he caught a lot of
flak for his opinion that no one cares about opera
and ballet, right, So what happened was somebody from the
Ballet and the Opera House in London and said.
Speaker 6 (01:41:00):
We're not going to go back at him.
Speaker 11 (01:41:02):
We're just gonna let this play its course and we're
gonna let people see what we do. So they just
