We're going to flag number five after so many years
working in Chicago with the same cast. How are your
first days on a new set, Oh, like first day
of school?
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Like, yeah, very nervous.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Still yeah, but you're a pro.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yeah, but still you know you want everyone to have
a good time, and and it always feels like the
first day of school.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
So nervous our set's clickie.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
I think it depends. Yeah, I think it depends. But
Anna Pigeon wasn't and and PD wasn't either. But but yeah,
I don't know. I always get nervous. I just want
to make sure it all goes well, everyone's having a
good time, So I I and it's you know, I
know my lines, which I do because but like you know,
you just get I don't know, I get nervous.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Do you get rewrites like the day of Is that typical?
Speaker 3 (01:51):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
So you know, like you have lines usually how far
in events it depends.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
So for for Anna, we had I had the scripts.
Usually we would get them decent, like a decent advance
on them, and then you'd get maybe pages and stuff
would come out during film, like during filming, but it
was very rarely would it be while you were shooting
that scene. You would have enough time to get it
in there. For PD, we would usually get the script
the day before you would start filming that episode, and

if you were featured on that episode, you might get
it a couple of days earlier to kind of get
your head around it. But usually you would get it
the day before. But you know, you only shoot on
one day. You would shoot like seven pages, so you'd
have a handful of scenes and they'll usually let you
know which scenes are playing if you don't get the
full schedule.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Before, because you have to learn seven pages in like
ten hours. Yeah, that would give me so much anxiety.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
See, it's so funny. I feel like memorizing lines is
like the least scary. I mean, unless you have like
a really big monologue, then you're like, oh god, But uh,
for the most part, memorizing lines is I don't know,
It's like a muscle, so it's there. Especially playing Haley.
I'd been playing her for a long time that you know,
I know her responses and everything. It's kind of in there,
so you get there.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Is it a photographic memory? Do you have one?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I do not have a photographic memory. I do not.
I wish I did.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
So you're basically a superhero. I just memorize seven pages.
I don't know how y'all do it.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's it's well, usually get them the day before, so
you would like but you know what, To be fair,
I say that, but when I work a red carpet
and there's fifty different people I have to talk to
and I'm out there with no cards.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
In my prep work, I do have to memorize what
I want to ask ahead of time. So I guess
it's similar. Yes, but I try to do that not
ten hours before.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
But that sounds really scary, Like I feel like I
would get really scared nervous to interview somebody and know
what questions to ask and all of that game of.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
The project and like all of it.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
H yeah, yeah, that's that's terrifying.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
It is.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I couldn't do that.

Well, I'm going to do that, so I don't know.
Hats off to you. Okay, what is the best advice
you've ever received as an actress?
Speaker 3 (04:00):
As an actress, it's more compelling to watch you fight
the tears than it is to watch you cry.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Hm mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
I won't say where I heard that and how it
came to me, but I remember being like, oh's just
more compelling to watch you fight it back.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Wow. I would agree with that because you're like, what's
going on? Why is she not breaking? Why won't she
allow herself to break?
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Or you fight? If it comes through, it comes through,
but to rather than to to just have it be
out there?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I like that. Okay, you've mentioned other dream projects, characters, genres.
Is there one you can tease?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
I'm a big like video game fantasy person. I love
playing video games, so getting to play in like that
kind of sci fi genre. I don't know, like playing
like a superhero or a witch or something like.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
That would be really fun, total fantasy.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yeah, yeah, I'm in I'm amazing.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, I would love to see that. Is there a
song you can't stop listening to?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
I listened to a lot of Greek music so so
I I have those on repeat, so I couldn't name
I'm trying to think of a not Greek song lately.
I've just been listening. I listened to a lot of
Greek music lately, so I couldn't think of an English
song right now. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
That's so fun? A lot that's so fun? Does that
make you feel like closer to family and how you grew.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Up and yeah, I don't know. Listening to Greek music
for me, it's like a spiritual experience. I just love it.
It makes me, it makes me feel calm and grounded.
I don't know, I love it.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Well. You listen to that before going out to do
a scene sometimes, really, so it is really kind of
like a meditative thing for you.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
It just like gets me to a place where I
don't know, even when I land in Greece too, whenever
I go visit, like, I just feel really connected in
a different way that it makes it. It just everything kind
of falls away and I feel really rooted.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Hmmm, that's really cool. I'm all for like sticking with
the things that make you feel like that. We need
that in life. We need that in life. Okay, were
there any unscripted Upstead moments that made it on an episode?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Oh god, I don't know, unscripted moments, not that I
can think of. I don't know. I'm sure there was,
but it was it was a little while ago that
we shot all that now, so I can't think of
anything that sticks out.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
In March or February when that aired, when you did
the kind of crossover at the end, there was a
line about getting a drink or something like that. Was
that improvised?
Speaker 3 (06:48):
No, that was scripted.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
That was scripted. Yeah, just felt so natural.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, that was scripted. I can't think of anything that's
been like improved on that show that that happened. Okay, sorry,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
No, hey, there wasn't. There wasn't. No disappointment at all,
No disappointment when you're not filming. What makes you feel
feel the most like yourself.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Mmm, hanging with my dog, going for a walk with her,
listening to my Greek music, cooking, those are usually my
go tos. Listening to a science podcast, and puzzling. I'm
crazy you guys playing video games, puzzling listening to podcasts.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
You know, really wild over you're but you know what,
that sounds perfect Like you're in such an over stimulating
career that you need to kind of come down with
things that make you feel grounded.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, totally.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Do you cook?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
You said, I do.

I love cooking best dish.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Like, if I was like I'm coming over for dinner
and I want to judge your cooking, what would.

You cook for me judge my cooking? I'd probably make
use to Lakya, like I'd go Greek with some suziki
and make you a little kodiatis so good.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city is right
by my apartment, called the Greek Kitchen. Hey, I love it, Ye,
I love it all. Write a few more. Might we
eventually see you and Jesse pop into the one Chicago
world again?
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Oh my god, that'd be amazing. That'd be amazing.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Anytime, it felt like it was a very easy yes
for you. When that came about, totally you were like,
let's do it.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Absolutely.

I love that world.

Because not every artist or actor wants to revisit something
once they leave it behind. I've talked to a few
folks over my course of time, and they've tried to
distance themselves from it, which I always find very interesting
because I'm like, but that's what that's what people like
grew to you about you and love you, and that's
how you have other opportunities.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah, but I guess I think for some people, I
could understand why it's something that they've moved on from
for whatever their reasons are, and they're ready to kind
of put that behind them. But for me, I don't know. I,
like I said before, I love I love that character,
I love all those people. I love that city. So
getting to go back and play anytime, anytime.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Okay, I think he made a lot of people happy
with that right now. People. Do you know about the
fan edits on TikTok? Do you ever see all the
fan edits about you?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
No?

I don't have TikTok, so you don't see them. No.
It was like a million fan edits of scenes of
yours all over TikTok. Yeah. Yeah, you were like a
TikTok star and you're not even on TikTok.

think I would just get lost it. I try to

say hi, and then I just it's more just so
that I don't get sucked into my phone and I
do more hanging out with my dog.

I would be interested in directing. I think it'd be fun.
I don't know about directing myself. I still can't like

would be good at directing myself, but I would be
interested in directing something at some point. Yeah. Right now,

like acting, but but directing. It's there.

the new season of Silo, and I'm holding out on
the House of the Dragon.

I've watched only the first couple episodes, but the last
one I binged was The Agency. Because you want to
save our house, I've just been running around, so I
want to, you know, and I kind of want to
watch it at home, like I have a big, big
screen at home, so I'm just kind of waiting.

Fair enough, fair enough, let's see two more. What do
I want to go with? Okay? Would you ever try
your hand at directing? Even an episode of Ann a Pigeon?
Speaker 3 (10:33):
I would be interested in directing. I think it'd be fun.
I don't know about directing myself. I still can't like
watching myself. I'm like, so, I don't know if I
would be good at directing myself, but I would be
interested in directing something at some point. Yeah. Right now,

I'm more interested in I am writing and looking at
like acting, but but directing. It's there.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Never say never, Yeah for sure. Fair final question, because
we know you love a crossover. Would you ever have
jesse on and a pigeon.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Would not be so fun? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Absolutely, but have to be a totally different role. I know,
like totally different.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
I'll have to think about this fort like a villain.
That'd be fun, right, I'd love to beat them up.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Uh huh. By the way, I feel like you'd play
a good villain because you have such a nice, sweet
look that you probably could turn the crazy on in
the part.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Totally.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Yeah, I could see it. Yeah, I'm manifesting a villain
