Put your hands together, and we're gonna start to party.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Start.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
I'm ready a party.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
The Elvis Duran after Party.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Every week Juju Green stumps by to tell us what
to watch, what not to watch, either in streaming or
in theaters. The world famous straw Head Goofy on your socials,
and Juju Green right here on the on the show, Juju, Juju?
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Can you hear me? I can hear you?
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Now, all right, let's go. Where do you want to start?
Speaker 5 (00:35):
You know, it's so funny because I realized I never
give you what not to watch, and I just watched
the movie fully preparing to be like, hey, guys, watch
this it's great.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
It was not great.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
It was okay movies that I saw and I was like,
I am so sorry, and it sucks because I love
this filmmaker. It's a directory debut. His name is Mark Replier.
He's a big twitch YouTube content creator. He created this
movie called The Iron Lung or Iron Lung, and it's
based off of a video game.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
And it was not good.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
It was it was just it got to the point
where TOURISTI and I was physically wincing at the screen, going, god, man,
this is a big Crash and Burn.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
There's a lot of.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
Great atmosphere moments. His acting is pretty great, but that's
all the movie has to offer. I don't know where
you know, it's his first time, and I'm gonna give
him the benefit of the doubt. I want to see
him make more things. But I'm just gonna have to say, like,
don't don't watch this.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
One, guys. It's just wow using Its incoherent, it's nasty,
it's no.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
Wouldn't you love to be sitting next to Juju when
he's hating a movie?
Speaker 5 (01:37):
Yeah, I don't want to say hating is more just
kind of like what happened here? I was more just wondering,
like what is what is going on here? And I
think the people behind me were feeling the same exact ways.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
All Right, Okay, so you gave us a no no
the no no zone Iron, give.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Us a go go.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
This is a slow week for movies and new releases, guys,
But this is actually an exciting opportunity because I get
to introduce you to things that I really love that
you could just turn on at any time. Now, something
that is new is shrinking season three. Now I know
me and like, let you know we watch Shrinking season
three means you gotta watch seasons one and two. That
(02:12):
is my plan. Please watch Shrinking. Shrinking is one of
the best Apple TV shows. It starts Jason Siegel, has
some Harrison Ford as well Jessica Williams, and it's created
by the same creators of ted Lasso. So if you
love ted Lasso and you want a happy cry, it's
one of those things. It's about a therapist or a psychiatrist.
I can't never remember differentiate the two, the person that
(02:34):
you pour out all your feelings too. He basically has
lost his wife and so he's in a very delicate
state where he decides to do a new way of
therapizing his clients by directly intervening in their lives. Now.
It is a deep dive into kind of like emotion, grief, family,
(02:54):
found family. It is in a fantastic show. Every character
is amazing and it's one of my favorite shows on
Apple TVs.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Daniel's been talking about Shrinking for a while.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
So did you see season three yet at all?
Speaker 5 (03:07):
I saw the first episode, okay, and I was like, okay,
we're locked in. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
So I love season one and season two and I
am liking season three. My husband loved season one and
season two, not feeling season three. Really, I'm disappointed because
I'm like, no, So I think I'm gonna have to
watch the rest of it by myself because.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
The season three dips he.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Has he has just tuned out.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
Yeah, well, you know, let's question your your husband's selections
in life.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
I mean, he chose you, that is true.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
I've heard nothing but great things about Shrinking, and I
want to get it started.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
But I'm going to go back to season.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
One and season two.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
I feel like it's the best season of It's the
best season. Okay, so next one. These are two picks
that have kind of already been out, one of which
is a Valentine's Day pick for you guys because it
has a little bit of a row. But it's also
a coming of age flip. It is one of my
favorite coming of age movies. It's called Flipped, and it's
on netflilicks. Oh now, if you haven't heard of Flipped,
(04:08):
it is a story of two kids existing in the
long forgotten fifties. I believe it, yeah, the fifties, And
essentially it's told from both perspectives of the girl and
the boy of when they first met their school time together,
and this girl's very obsessed with this boy, and then
this boy doesn't want anything to do with her. But
then the perspective flips, and then you get to see
(04:30):
his perspective on whether or not he likes her. The
movie flips back and forth between the two. It's very sweet.
It reminds you of your first love. There's also a
lot of like really cool family dynamics here, class dynamics,
school dynamics, if in case you ever want to go
back to that and feel awkward. It is one of
the best romantic like coming of age movies that has
(04:51):
ever been made, in my opinion. And it's on Netflix.
It's called Flipped, Okay, and then you hat another one,
and then the next one is Together, which I just
found out is on Hulu, starring the couple Uh Dave
Franco and Brie Larsen, and it's about a couple who
move into a new house together when mysteriously, and I'm
sure you can guess this if you saw the trailer,
(05:12):
they start to fuse together. So this is a body
horror twisted Valentine's Day movie for the both of you.
It is like like really concentrating on the themes of code, dependency,
relationships and things of that sort. And it was one
of the more underrated body horror movies to come out
last year. So if you want, if you want something
a little gross, but you still want something that you
(05:34):
and your couple can go huh, I wonder if that
happened to us for Valentine's Day. This is the flick
you should watch.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
So they're fused, like physically fused.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
They slowly literally start to fuse together.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Like it starts with a little touch and their fingers
kind of stick like Spider Man, and then it just
progressively gets worse and worse.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Did you go it a horror movie?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Horror?
Speaker 4 (05:55):
A body horror movie, Danielle said, from The Bronx body
horror movie.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Being from the Bronx, she says horror. It's a it's
a horror movie.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
You know what the way by pronunciation works, I probably
did say hawlet's coola.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Look at this? Whw fuse it together with a hot spit.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
So that's your list.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Not bad?
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Okay, So it was a no go on Iron long
a slogo on Shrinking season three. But you need to
go back and see all the first two seasons as well. Yes,
a Valentine's pick, of course, a coming of age called
Flipped on Netflix, and of course, uh a whole movie.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
A horror film together on Hulu.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Wait, can I ask a question, if you don't want
to watch the Super Bowl? Is there something like a
football type of movie or some kind of a sporty
movie that somebody would might or might enjoy.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
I don't know a football movie that somebody might enjoy.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Now there's not a new one, obviously, But if you're
not a super Bowl fan, I'm trying to think of
one of my favorite Super Bowl movies.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
You guys ever watched the movie Invincible with Mark Wahlberg?
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Oh yeah, I absolutely, Oh yeah, I think.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
I think if you're an Eagles fan and you're sad
that the Eagles uh just gotta like completely poop the bed,
then you could like vicariously live through the dream of
joining the Eagles and getting flat like a pancake with
Mark Wahlberg.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
It's called Invincible.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
And that just came off the top of my head
and I'm literally looking up to see if it's on
any streaming services right now.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Wow. The film came out in two thousand and six.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
You could watch it on Disney Plus football movie called
Invincible starring Mark Wahlberg on Disney Plus back when Disney
was doing like their big sports movie phase.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
They don't do them anymore, and I miss it the best.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Yeah, those were the best gory road Remember the Titans
greatest game ever played with Sea La buff The Disney
era of sports movies was unmatched.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Listen to that, Juju. You know more than we'll ever know.
This why we invite you on every week? So is
it the Patriots of the Seahawks this weekend?
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Oh? You know what?
Speaker 5 (08:03):
As a West Coaster who doesn't like football, I was
really tired of hearing about the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
I'm gonna go with the Seahawks, yare you? Yeah? All right?
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Of course, all of our social and of Courses podcast
