Speaker 1 (00:00):
If I were going to make my own sandwich, create
a sandwich. I was a peanut butter and jelly kid
grade school, junior, high school, even in college. I would
make peanut butter, but by then it was like the
kind that you grind at the health food store. And
I grew my own alfalfa sprouts, so I'd do peanut butter,
alfalfa sprouts, honey pul wheat bread that I made when
(00:23):
I was in college. And sometimes I would take potato chips,
which is the bad thing, and I would smash the
potato chips on top of the peanut butter and then
put the bread on. That's what I would eat. In
my acting class. That would be called a given circumstance,
because one of the terms that we would use are
given circumstances in class. That would be the name of
the sandwich. I'll have two griven circumstances, please, And that's
(00:44):
all made up all right now? Out of my head?
What are we even doing? What are we even doing?
And welcome back to another episode of Kyle's Corner where
we discuss what's important in the world, mainly your questions,
and I will answer them as best I can. Sometimes
(01:06):
I don't get it right, but we try.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Why don't we even doing?
Speaker 1 (01:11):
We're going to take a look at some of the
items on my special shelf. One in particular, you might
recognize fallout. This is one of the yoyos that I
used in season two laying Hank McLean. We also have
the Vultech bobblehead. Very important. We're about to start filming
(01:31):
our third season in June, and I've had such a
fun time playing Hank because he's a man of mystery.
We don't really know what he's up to, but it's
probably no good kumbaya. It's been an extraordinary world to
work in. It's so complete and so full, and they've
been able to replicate it beautifully. But they've also been
(01:51):
able to develop really interesting storylines on top of this world.
We should check it out. It's on Amazon Prime. Also,
we have a pit boy. Don't tell anyone, but this
is actually a real pit boy, so basically goes on
your wrist. The buckling is always a challenge, ah, and
don't get your arm pinched, and then you can turn
this sucker on. Let me try this, Let's see what happens.
(02:23):
What are we even doing? We're here with Lyle. What
a pleasure? Is that a new thing you got going
on there? I just screw this yesterday, Lyle, you're looking
dapper today, My good man. Do you think I need
to trim it just a little. Let's find out what's
in the mailbag? How you doing today? Question Mark at
(02:45):
I wish underscore I could think underscore of a underscore US.
I wish I could think of a US. Okay, I'm
doing great today. I have everything I need. I've got lighting, microphone, coffee.
My life is complete. How are you doing today? What's
(03:07):
the most important or significant thing you've learned while filming
a project? Know your lines? One time I was working
and was for a Law and Order episode, and I
had really cemented the lines into my brain. I figured
I had some time between the rehearsal the lighting that
had to happen. All that I had five minutes because
(03:30):
they moved really quickly on Lawn Order. During rehearsal, I
looked over at Chris Maloney and he was sitting there
calmly reading the New York Post, and I panicked. Somehow
the blood vessels in my brain opened up and I
was able to absorb the dialogue. But the amount of
energy and adrenaline I had to expend. I'm still depleted.
Know your lines. Favorite one direction song, No question mark,
(03:55):
that's so easy act my age. He's got a great
kind of Irish gieg intro. It got a lilting kind
of vibe to it, and you know it's very pertinent
to me. Apologies to my Irish friends. My friend made
your Charlie doll. Love seeing it every week on the pod.
Let's take a look at the Charlie doll. Hold on,
(04:18):
we're gonna find that doll. There's a bad Chad toys
and then there's Charlie on the back. Bratt, How great
is Charlie? It's glad. It's something brought first. Would you
rather be a duck or a hamster? Would I rather
be a duck or a hamster? Good question? That answer
is so easy neither. No, I'm just kidding. I would
(04:40):
like to be a duck. Think about being a duck.
You can walk around on land, you can swim in water,
you can find in it, so you've got three domains
of which you are the master of. You can eat
weird bugs and they taste good. You get to spend
time in really beautiful surroundings. Who doesn't love a beautiful lake. Also,
(05:00):
as a duck, you get to fly with your pals
in this really cool looking v plus. If you're a duck,
people like to feed you and they just give you
like bread and other kinds of stuff like that. You
get to lay eggs. What's that like? I don't know
if i'd like to do that. Hamsters, you got a
wheel and you gotta drink water from a like a
(05:22):
You only get a drop at a time. You know,
you're really thirsty all the time. It's a hamster. It's tough.
If you entered a competitive eating contest, what would you.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Eat the best?
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Eat the best or eat the most? M m. I
don't think it would be a hot dog for sure.
I'm tempted to say pizza, but it's a lot of
dough wine. Is that allowed? You know? What could be
(05:55):
interesting if you had a competitive eating contest would be
just ketchup Oh I think I know, not ketchup pie.
But you know I love key lime pie, but I
think I would sugar out. That's a problem. Why not
huckleberry pie. Let's go with huckleberry pie. I could beat
anybody eating huckleberry pie, maybe not a bear. What does
it feel like to still be a sexy figure? That's
(06:17):
gonna be an interesting answer. I have no idea. There
is a very cool sandwich in Walla, Walla at a
place called Gray's called Sexy Time. It's like a toasted
cheese and a turkey and a little bit of wallow
wall A sweet onion, which they're known for. I don't
even know what's in it, but I just know it's
really good. That's about as close to sexy as I
get these days. Here's a good question, best hangover cure?
(06:41):
I don't know if I have a best hangover cure.
When you have so much to drink, and you'd have
a glass of water before you go to bed, and
then you get up in the middle of the night
after the bathroom, have another glass of water then, and
then have another glass by your bed, and so then
when you first wake up in the morning, have another
glass of water, sometimes a couple of tile and all.
If you're hung over, the best breakfast meal is a bagel.
(07:03):
You got to toast a bagel, an onion or a
scallion in the s mirror, a little thin layer of
the salmon, smoked salmon, The red onion is good too,
that combination because it just sort of fills you, balances
your stomach, at least a balances my stomach. I'm thirty
years old, What say you to me? Wright to Mark,
you're thirty years old, Well, the journey just gets better.
(07:25):
Do be kind to your knees. It's coming from experience.
I started Twin Peaks when I was in my thirties,
and suddenly my trajectory of my career, my world changed.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
I'm going to let you in on a little secret.
Every day, once a day, give yourself a present.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
It was a fun time. When I turned thirty, I
didn't think of myself as old. I don't even think
of an age. I just think of an attitude. Like again,
I come back to this podcast. It's really fun to
sit and talk with people who are half my age,
if not more. But we talk as artists. We don't
talk as like older generation younger generation. But I get
to talk to them about their artistic process, what they do,
(08:03):
how they use some of these tools that we didn't
have when I was at age, social media in particular.
I still don't really think of myself as old. My
body tells me I'm old, but I don't think of
myself as old. I'm ninety three. Before I go, let's
share a little musical moment here. I'm listening to Olivia Dean,
Lady Lady, and Carol King. It's too late, not too
(08:24):

Carol King it's too late to turn back now, Okay
(09:43):

a friend. I'm listening to Lady Dean Carol Dean. No,

Carol Dean. Hey, everybody, oh my god, we're having too
much fun here. So I'm listening to Lady Lady by
Olivia Dean and It's Too Late by Carol King. Not
that it's a funny song, but it's got some humor
(10:29):
to it. Thanks for hanging
