Speaker 1 (00:00):
What are We even do? What are we even doing?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
So?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Hi everybody, I'm Kyle maclachlin. I'm the host of What
Are We Even Doing? This is the podcast when we
sit down and we talk about artists, actors, musicians, creatives
of all type, and we we basically discuss creative process,
what they love, what's happening in social.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Basically we get weird, but in a really good way.
And today we have well, she's not weird at all.
It's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
You are.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
We have a Love Island icon. Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
You are also the refounder of Skylar perfume. We're going
to talk about and I think we can all agree
each with people's princess right say that. Okay, Leah Cataba
is here and I am so happy I almost said Lea.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Is that Leah Kate b Some people like that. Yeah,
even though I'm a white person about it?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Right, I'll replay that every night.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Before we met. We met, before we were talking about it.
When you came in and what you thought you scared.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Me a little bit because it was a holy funk.
I was like turning to my manager and my boyfriend
was like, you guys, you guys. You guys. I was like,
I'm freaking out. I have to say it was.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I was so I was overwhelmed in a good way.
I was like, this is so kind and you were
so passionate and so I don't know, I just felt
like this great vibe from you, this great energy. It's
got to be what people feel when they watch you
through the screen.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I know it's what I feel.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
But I was like, seriously, like you're such an icon,
Like I don't even know why I'm here.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Because you too are on the show. No, no, no,
it's really nice. Thank you for joining.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Oh my gosh, any day I'll come every week.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Bless You're okay? Good?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Should we come?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
We should be my pleasure. I think how much more
fun we would have. And it's just me sitting here
droning on talking.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I'm not everything.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
We've had some light and some fun and room. Your
journey has been incredible.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah you were.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
We were just saying, you said about two years since
the flight to Fiji.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Fiji.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, yeah, we flew in May. I don't know why
I'm saying we. I me, I flew in May.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
But how did it? How did it start? I mean,
you were this there doing studying studying for yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, I was in school. Yeah, and I was also working.
So I was in school for public health, and then
I was working with my mom, who is a microbiologist. Okay,
so I was doing like medical device sales. And then
I was like looking through my DMS and I was like, oh,
and there was like a casting producer whatever what is
it called.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
The casting person? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, casting person. You would think, I know,
they had.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Reached out and they were checking your MS.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
I mean, yeah, Well, the thing is I didn't have
so before. I didn't have like a large following at all,
and I really only posted on social media like every
like two months. Like I was not like by any
means like a content and creator or like even trying
to be like a social media presence.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Right, you had other things going on you were doing.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, and like I was more of like just like
a lurker. I would impost a loon. But yeah, I
mean I was looking through my DMS and obviously someone
liked what they saw on they were like, hey, do
you want to do an interview for the show for
Love Island? And then we end up meeting and like
it was like a zoom and then eventually like after

(03:28):
it took a long process.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
It took a few months. Like were you familiar with
the show from before?

Speaker 3 (03:32):
For me?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
So no, I actually no, I never watched Love Island before,
and I'm not really into reality TV, which is I know,
so funny. My parents never let me watch it growing up.
I'm sure they're very proud of me now, yes they are,
but yeah, I was never really allowed to watch it
growing up. The only one that I like now is

(03:54):
ninety Day Fiance and Love After lock Up. You gotta
tune in, okay. Love after lock Up is like people
and they'll like, I don't know, they'll go on a
website and they'll find like a prisoner on a website,
and then they'll like start talking to them kind of
like they pen palette up right, and then and then
they meet in person and then their journey unfolds in
front of your eyes. Oh yeah, or sometimes like they'll

(04:17):
just stay in prison the whole time and the girl
is just holding it down.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Okay, So they don't know whether the person is eligible
for any kind of.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
They're just roller they're pretty Oh yeah, they do know
that they're doing One guy lied the one I'm watching
right now. He lied, he said he was getting on
a year. She goes and finds out that he has life.
Uh yeah, So now she's like, yeah, it was crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
So now she's committed.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah right, because now it's like they've been talking for
like a year. She's like all intertwined in it.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
But yeah, how does she get out of that? That's crazy?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I don't know. And they ended the season too, so
now they just said they're still talking.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Oh my god, Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Then then it's you watch things like that and then
you're like, god, Love Island's so boring and cock like, why.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I don't think it's bor I mean I think. I mean, ultimately,
this is all about behavior, right, behavior and watching people
in situations that are stressful. Yeah, we talked about you
don't drink coffee because you're sort of, you know, an
anxious and anxious for clean yes, and yet on the
show you're sort of a even more even keel. I think,
oh god, right, you think no, No, you don't think

(05:19):
so no, will you come across something now now okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I did up my dough since coming home.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Okay, okay, okay, so that's helpful. So so medical science.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Medical science help. I know, I don't I'm not going
to say I'm pro big pharma, but like I do,
I do.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Believe in that they can help if you Yeah, if you.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Need it, you need it. My grandma has a lot
of mental illness.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Okay, okay, better living through chemistry. Okay. I like that.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
I mean, you know, you need you you need to
find your help where.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
You're Yeah, and they just think it's important, Like you know,
I think people need to take care of that kind
of stuff. However, they want to know whether it's you know,
meditating therapy.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Yeah, and will you come from a from a perspective
from the medical profession. Yeah, and so you understand, I'm sure, yeah,
sing So yeah, I'll be talking to you later about that.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah. So end up going to Fiji.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Okay, and then what you're flying on a plane by yourself?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Yeah, and you know what, that was the first time
I gone on a plane in.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Three years okay, yeah, working hard.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, that was crazy. That was really crazy, like okay,
and I didn't really go on vacations before either, Like
that was just that was just it.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Like, and you were in La Area in LA I
grew up in La yeah, did they say, and you'll
be here for X number.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Well, you don't know, because they can send you home
because it's like a voting thing, I know. So like
imagine like you just got there and then they're like sorry,
actually you need to go, and it's like I was like,
fuck by any means, I can't do that. I can't
survive that more that quick of a plane.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Immediately they have you under pressure.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah, and they take your phone away too, like before
you're going to go in for like a week, right
and then because so I was like og cast, which
is like the people that go in first, so like
I only had my phone away for like a week.
But like the people that come in later, like let's
say like some of the cossum or people, which is
like this thing where like the people come in and
they try to like steal the group people. Yeah, and

(07:11):
they'll be without their phone for like almost a month,
like you're just in your hotel room like going crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
But not on the show yet. They just timatizing to yeah, they.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Just can't have their phone because like it's in real
time so you can't see. It's like they don't really
want to be biased. Yeah, they it's literally isolation and
like you're not allowed to like call anyone and talk
to you.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
What do you do?

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I mean, I read so many books I started I
was I went on Netflix and I was like, I
need to find a show that is so fucking long
and has so many episodes that I'm not going to
get bored. And you know, I started Sex in the City.
I know, but that's not where I knew you from.
You were my David Lynch icon from before. So I
was actually really really shocked to see you in Sex and.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
The City because I was doing there, I know.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
But I loved it, so I thought it was amazing.
I was like, oh my gosh, like a familiar face.
But yeah, so I've started watching Sex in the City
and I really really liked it.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, great show, but it got me through my one
week Okay.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Okay, no, I had a thing when I remember I
had to go. I was shooting in Australia during COVID
and I went to Sydney and I had quarantine for
two weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
So they put you in a hotel and you can't
leave the room. You can have your phone. Okay, see,
so that was good.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
But honestly, I did the same thing. I found a
show I think I was watching. I think I'm watching
Favda Fauda I think because it was many seasons. Yeah,
and I would, And this is what I did. You
just and you cannot organize your days. Okay, I'm gonna
get up, I'm gonna work out here. Then i'm gonna
make coffee. Then i'm gonna you know, then I'm gonna
do this, and then I'm going to answer something. Then

(08:48):
I'm gonna watch my shows, and then I know it is.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
I know.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I would literally get into bed at like six pm
because I was like just so bored. Like and the
thing is, you're not allowed to leave your hotel room.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
You have your you couldn't go to like to the
beach because all of.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
The contestants are in this hotel, so they don't want
you to like run into.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Each other, yeah or anything like the stuff they never
tell you. See this is the creed.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah, I know. And that's why people go into the
damn villa already agitated, because it's like you're.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Like, sure, they're already poking the bull.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
This is the thing. Yeah, they already was super poked.
Like I was like, really, we got to clip that
my ball was super poked. Can't we do that? Is
that allowed it? Can we put that on air?

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
We can do anything.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yeah, you're adorable.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Okay, I love that. I love that because I was
thinking of Ferdinand. Of course, Ferdinand the Bull, you know
that story and the whole thing and.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
How they agitate him. Anyway, anyway, continue with your story. School.
So you couldn't go out. You had a cheerone somewhere.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
The only time that we would go out is like
if you called them and be like, hey, like I
need like an hour out, Like they would let you
out of your room literally like prison prison. Yeah, and
then they would like you could either like walk on
them each or you could work out, or they would
like come play cards with you or something like that.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
I know they can't visit. They came to visit you.
I know, let's just check on oursel.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
That was like a lot. But thankfully I didn't have
to do it for a very long time because I
was like O G. But I really do feel for
like the people that were in there for so long,
Like that was a lot.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
It's like a lot.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, And I'm like a social persona so like that
was like.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Taking it and they certainly kept you isolated as well.
I'm assuming that, yeah, you're not allowed to be with it.
So when you started connecting, I mean you had a
couple of friends in there, Jane and Sara and you
guys did was that like immediate bond.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
First night we met, Like you know how you just
like feel energy and like you really just like vibe
off with someone, like you don't have to force anything.
I think like it was pretty immediate with us, Like
I felt really honestly with all the girls, like I
feel like we all had such a good and still
do like friendship. Like I think we really did form.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Like I think that's nice because you went through something
together and that's yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
And we also feel like, especially like Serena and Jinet,
I feel like we all went through a lot and
like we ended we started the show together because we
were all logs, and then we also like ended the
show together, so it was like really special.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
And did you feel like you were not the ringleader necessarily?
But did everyone? I guess what I mean to say
is like it did everyone have a certain role role?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah, like in our friendship. Yeah, we're all so different
but also really similar that I think like I don't know.
That's why we like compare ourselves to like Powerpuff Girls,
and like we call ourselves PPG because it's like I'm
not I don't want to butcher it, but like I
know that like Buttercup is like kind of feisty and
like she's like very like doesn't let shit slide. And

(11:44):
I know, like Blossom, it's kind of like a mix
between Bubbles and Buttercup. And then Bubbles is like really nice.
So like I think we all have a little something.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yeah, yeah, And I think great that you recognize in
each other that you were really good at this, maybe
not as good this someone could kind of support you,
and you had a triangle, So that was that's a.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Strong Ja is really sweet and then Serena will be
like sometimes like she'll just be like Leah, like it's
just too much, like you got to cut it out.
But like Jenny will be.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Like, oh, it's okay, like you need that.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Yeah, it's it's like to tell you, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Like it, Yeah, just say you do it. You can't
do this, you gotta do this, you know, Okay, you're right,
you know I don't.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
We all like do that for each other. Yeah, And
it's like from a good place.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yeah, yeah, that's what That's what it felt.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
And I was thinking also just a connection to maybe
one of the reasons why you connected with Sex and
the City. I mean, it's a great show, of course,
but all the girls they always get together and there
is a sense of support there and.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Kind of help. You know.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Sometimes it's tough love, but they always they do seem
to support each other.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
So I don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Yeah, no, I might be something. I was scared that
I was going to go in there and have like
no friends. So that was great.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
That's very good. And you're still and you still you
still find with Yeah, we.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Like seafood boils at my house once a month.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I don't eat meat, but okay, but seafood's okay. No no, no, no, no,
no meat.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
They put like potatoes and corn and shit for Oh
it's good. I haven't eaten meat in thirteen years.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Okay, yeah, it's working.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
I love animals a lot.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
You have a barn, I do? I mean, you gotta
tell me about this. I mean, I love animal suit,
but I don't have a barn. But I love the
I love the idea.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
We have five chickens, three horses, three pigs. I have
three dogs and two cats.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Oh my god, And who's charging anyone out? Really?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Is there?

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Okay? Yeah, so you know a lot about it. I mean,
what do they call it animal husbandry? Taking care of animals? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Yeah, I love animals. And I've been a foster for
dogs since I was literally fourteen years old.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
That's so cool.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yeah, so I've just loved How can you.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Foster a dog and not like when I keep I
guess if it finds a good family, you feel, Oh,
it makes me so.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I know a lot of people say that, and it
does make me so happy to see them in their
new homes. Like I know a lot of people will
be like, oh, I could her foster because it'd be
too hard to give them away, But I'm like, there
really is no such joy than to see them like
thriving in their new life with like their pet siblings
and stuff. And also, my dog is reactive, so I
can't keep her like with other dogs, so all of

(14:15):
my fosters have to stay separate from my dog.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
So that's what you say, dog's reactive instead of my
dog's mean.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
She's a sweet sweet dogs.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Elvis, Elvis is I'm gonna start calling Elvis's reactive.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
That's.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Fingers, Yeah, a reactive way.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Like she's very like weary of strangers and things like that,
but once like she gets to know you, she's.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Like she's a cart. But now do you keep the
chickens indoors or outdoors? How do you?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
They were indoors, so we raised them from chicks, right,
and so they were indoors until it was ready for
them to go outside. So we kind of custom coop
built for them.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Because I know, coyotes and other things.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah, we have so many coyotes and bobcats in our
area and rattlesnakes.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
It's crazy because you're outside outside la right.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Yeah, calabassies. Yeah, and like we're like the mountain area too,
and our house specifically is literally like on a mountain,
so it's like, oh my god. Like literally two days ago,
we were sitting in the backyard on our sun chairs
and we were with my dog outside and a coyote
just ran in our backyard and my dog tried to
chase it, and I was like freaking out, like I
was like I jumped up to grab her. And then
Miguel was sitting with his legs crossed like this, like

(15:27):
he might as well have been holding like he didn't
give a fuck. I was like, this is crazy. I
was like, well now I know never ever, don't let
him babysit.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
No, dog, he's doing it right now.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Now I'm scared.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
He'll be fine. He'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Do you garden?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I love the garden? Really? What do you like the garden?

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Fruits and veggies?

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Yeah, and I love plants. I just got an avocado tree,
dragon fruit tree, kumquat tree. Oh wow, but I'm also
like obsessed with kumquats, Like they're the best fruit.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
How what do you use before?

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Now?

Speaker 1 (15:58):
How do you what do you do? Didn't they're good
in a drink?

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Literally, just eat them off the tree.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
I'm not even carding they're good off a tree.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
But they are really really good. Like my boyfriend Migul,
he made like a cocktail with them. It was really nice. Yeah,
I've never had like their pump clod.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
A nice little because they're a mixed like lime orange
kind of something else kind of vibe.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Well, you have pomegranates, right, pomegranates sour? No, they're more sweet, right, yeah,
they're sweet? Yeah, because you have that.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Because you have the pomegranate perfume, right, yes, but what
did you do with this brand?

Speaker 1 (16:27):
You reintroduced it?

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, So from what happened on Love Island,
from that whole situation, I.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Got a couple of followers, yeah, which you didn't even
know was happening.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
So I didn't. And when I came out, like they
also were recording a bunch of stuff that they never
put out, so I don't know what the heck they
were doing.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Okay, well, can you talk about We're gonna talk pomegrans
a minute, but it got to ask me about this
cameras and you're on set, because I'm very curious and
I'm sure you've talked about this, said nauseum, but yeah,
I would love to know kind of because if it
were me, I would say, at a certain point in time,
you just sort of forget the cameras are there.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Well, the thing is like the cameras weren't like these ones,
Like it's like hidden in like corners or like hidden
in like a plant or something. So it's not like
they're like all right now, kiss Like it's not like
in your face. So the microphone it became like second nature.
Otherwise they would like literally like curse you out. They'd
be like put it on, and you weren't like allowed

(17:20):
to like swim.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
With it or anything. So you have to strap that
on every time you get up rid of every time.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Literally they said, before you brush your teeth, put that
ship on. But I know that, like you're like for
reality TV, like you're supposed to be like messy, like
and like the people are like like the producer's job
is quite literally to like be messy. But that's what
people like it, they like, Yeah, but I was already
giving them so much mess Like it's like, what more

(17:47):
do you want from me? My orcans? Like I was like, it's.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Like, yes, they want your organ they.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Did, and like it's like I found someone that I
really enjoyed spending time with, Like just leave me alone.
I gave you enough.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Yeah, yes, I get it. A certain point you just
reach you kind of reach a threshold. Enough done.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Yeah. I was starting to get pretty over it, but
we prevailed and we got out.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, I mean I'm not going to like knock it
at all because it was like a great overall experience
and obviously I met Miguel through it, and my friends
like I just feel like letting things play out like
organically and naturally is always the best way. Like I
feel like, especially like for our season, like I feel
like everyone really loved it because and it blew up

(18:31):
the way it did because everyone was just so themselves.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
I think behavior is going to be you can't dictate,
you know what I mean, you have to, like you said,
let things play out.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
That's what people are going to want to watch.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Yeah, because I think people, I think the audience is
going to go like, oh, that's not because they are
so invested in the audience.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Myself, but yes, they are.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
The fans are, Yeah, so they can tell if someone's like, wait.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
A minute, you know they're they're they're their their meet
or whatever, they're there when they can detect the bullshit basically, No,
they do. That's that's how I know. No, she's like that,
you're bullshit. She's my bullshit right there. But I think
it's I think it's for somebody to succeed.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
I think you're right. I think your instinct right.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
So, yeah, you feel like you would be a really
good producer of a reality show. I'm just thinking, as
i'm I think you could set it up something on
the farm.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
No, some kind of a thing, because.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
You would make it nice, You would make it people
would be actually, you know, they would know.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Everone wants to see that ship, you know what I mean.
People want to see the drama.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
I know, any more reality in your future? What do
you think?

Speaker 2 (19:33):
I don't think so. I just I just want to
be like peaceful.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Yeah, you found it.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
You found kind of a nice bliss with Yeah, and
you Miguel get along some good. It's like, let's go,
let's go feed some horses.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
No, Honestly, like why do I need to like fight
on television. I think there's just no reason.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
For somebody for somebody else, right, Yeah, okay, well let's see.
So I want to go back and talk about you.
So you're you've developed this following. You're so natural on camera,
you know what I mean? And you and you say
it the way it is, it's really and people respond
to that. You know, it's it's a thing, it's an
inside thing. Yeah, you can't pretend that you can't make that.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
And I think you genuinely care about the people that
you're working with, yes, and look out for them, which
is important too.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
I think people can tell that.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
So you come back and you have suddenly followers three millions?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
How many? Three millions? Always said five million, Now it's five.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
When I first got out, they like were filming a
bunch of stuff that they never posted, but they said
that I was like the first Islander to ever hit
one million before even leaving the villa. So then, yeah,
but now we're at like I think five point five,
five point five.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Yeah, yeah, here we go, you know, but it's it
allows you the flexibility, the freedom to start thinking about, Okay,
how I want to use this, yeah, and turn that
into something that is you know, comes from you.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Right, And Skylar one of the first sort of hey
this is could be Yeah, So.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
So interesting and cool to see how it all happened
because when I first got out, everyone was doing like
interviews and we were all doing stuff like that, and
like people would always see me spring perfume on myself
in the villa and then also like the girls would
always be saying, like, Leah, smell so good. And then
I did a Favorites video of like all my favorite
perfumes after I came out because everyone kept asking okay,

(21:24):
and then Skuyler was one of them, right, and so
they reached out to me and they were like, we
would love to have a meeting with you, and we
met and then they were just basically like, we need
someone to come and take over. We really want to
like revamp, and just.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Like, yeah, kind of a great thing for both because
you've established something which already there, so you don't have
to build it from the get go.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yeah, and you were able to take your and I.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Was already telling my team, and the reason why, like
I think it all worked so well was like I
was already telling my team, like I really want to
do something in Fragrance. I love fragrance. I love body oils,
I love like my shower routine also went like viral
when I was in there, like I just love that
kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
So if I need a shower routine.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Can I make you one?

Speaker 3 (22:05):
And you tell me, yeah, totally, totally. I'm up for
anything my shower routine is.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
You know, are you like a five and one type
of guy?

Speaker 1 (22:13):
No, I'm not, Actually I do.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
I do like a certain kind of you know, a
product thing, and then I'll end up grabbing my my
wife has my wife's got.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
All that stuff you use, like the bougie stuff.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
I like all the fantasy Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Do, because I get my wife gets all sorts of stuff,
you know, and I'm like, and she, I mean, there's
so many products.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
I'm like, I'll try this. And I have been.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Pretty skincare focused since I was in my twenties, which
is kind of weird.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
But I dated a girl and she said, and I
was like, oh, what is this clinique?

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Right, you know, really right?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
And Karen sunscreen is really important.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
It's important, it really it is.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
It is taking your vitamins.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Is also taking your vitamins, but you got to take
them with food.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, but some of them you don't need to. No,
I don't like probiotics are good to take on an
empty step.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
That's true. Yeah, I don't take a probiotic.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
You should. I feel like it's so life changing. And
Vitamin D do you take? Vitamin I do?

Speaker 1 (23:09):
I do?

Speaker 2 (23:09):
I feel like a mental difference. It's like, no, it's
supposed to like perk you up, like it's supposed to
make you feel happier.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
I've got my Vitamin C right here. Yeah, pretty good.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
I do know.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I take Vitamin D and E. And what's the most
important vitamin you.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Think, I would say probably the ones that I tell
people to take is vitamin D. Magnesium at night is
so good for you just sleeping, honestly. Oh but when
you're taking vitamin D, make sure that you're taking it
with the K two because it just absorbs better.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
I heard that. Yeah, fish oil.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
I like fish oil. I do think it's really good
for people. And I think that, but I don't take
it because I obviously don't eat meat. But there are
a bunch of like vegan.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Ones, okay, vegan ones that are good because it is
a derivative of yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Yeah, because it's literally you're.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Pretty serious about about Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
I had an aquarium, so I like fish too.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I had my son had an aquarium that I took
care of.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
I know, I was. I was grinding taking care of
it tough. Oh my god, it was the worst thing
in the world. I don't want to say I was
happy when everyone passed, but I was happy, like.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
And they do pass, and they do they pass from anything.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
You look at them and one of them passes away.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
It's like hearts floating and I're like, what the he?

Speaker 2 (24:25):
I know? And then I ordered a lobster off of Amazon,
and it ate all of the things in my all of.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
My little blue loves I know, just loves her. Yes,
they're very hungry. Okay, we're having a pretty much fun
time here. We're talking about Hellams bougie products.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
So we'll go back.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Let's go back to pomegranate scent. I mean this is
a pomegranate princess.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Yes, I'm so excited about it. Honestly, I love pomegran
love pomegranes so much. With them, you can make them
sweet or you can make them salty. I don't know
if you've ever tried putting like lemon and like to heen,
Are you into tahen? It's like a seasoning. Are you
into what? Are you into? Like spicy foods?

Speaker 1 (25:09):
I love spicy food?

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Okay, nice, this one's like I wouldn't say it's like
super spicy, but like to heene, lemon and pomegran and
mixed together so delicious.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
So you just take the seed, I mean the juice
or how do you.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Know the sea? I know you have to sit and
peel it for like ten years.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yeah, but you always see these shows, but where they
peel uponmerland, I know, how does that work?

Speaker 2 (25:29):
And then they don't show like your entire.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
Outing covered carpet is room.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Yeah, you know what won't do? That is my very
ladies and gentlemen. Another reason to buy this ill you earlier.
You're earlier. I smelled you earlier, and the scent is
really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
It's because it's like, yes, it's very It's also like
I really wanted something for like spring summer, so I
was like, this is such a good scent for spring
and summer. I keep calling it like the official scent
of the spring and summer because it is just so delicious.
And the first time I showed it to Sephora, because
like obviously I have to go to the headquarters in
San Francisco to show them everything. They were obsessed with

(26:13):
it and they were like, we have to drop this
like acea. So it was I'm really excited for everyone
to smell it because it has so many different notes
as well, like if pomegranate, strawberry, we have lemon zess,
like we have like a lot of yummy stuff in there,
and then like the bass notes are also really delicious,
and we also have like whip frosting. It's it's a
really good like mix of everything. And it's not like overpowering,

(26:35):
it's very just like it's juicy. It's really good.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
No, I want to I wanna smell it. I want
to try it. Earlier, you said that you were Twin
Peaks fans.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yes, David Lynch, I love Blue Velvet one of my
favorite movies, like of all time. Yeah, and Lost Highway.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah, of all of it. That's so cool. Did you
have to you find that?

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Honestly, I just feel like I've always been into like
old movies and like like kind of like, I A
don'tone want to say old. I guess maybe like iconic movies. Yeah,
and like Blue Velves that's okay, No, but it's not
old though. And you know what, I think there's not
an appreciation for old movies these days. I feel like
everyone I talk to like they just don't have an

(27:21):
appreciation for it. And they're like, oh, it's just not
it doesn't look the same, it doesn't look like so produced.
I'm like, I hate when people say that, because.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Well, there are old movies you have to go to
that you have to find good, the good old movies
like those are the ones that you're like, oh, okay,
I get what there what you're trying to say in
the relationship. Yeah, there's the temple is different, maybe black
and white anything like that, but.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
I love that, like Psycho is iconic. Yeah, like and
no one that's like black and white, but like so good.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, I love it. Well, thank you.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
I'm so glad that you found David. And you don't meditate.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
You meditated, I.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Do yeah, yeah cool, Yeah that's very good. I can't
I kind of can't. I feel like you would be
a person that would meditate.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Really yeah, is that an in solder?

Speaker 1 (28:04):
No, No, it's a great it's a great thing. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Yeah, you got me before she came here. I like
being at peace.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
That's like, I think we're blessed to live in a place.
I mean, everywhere is great, but la Is.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
I think we're blessed because we have the ability to
be outdoors in a pretty nice environment. Yeah, and you
can find your spot to be, as you said, and
you've obviously created an environment with the barn and they
that is so I don't know, it's so appealing.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yeah right, No, it's really nice, Like it really is,
Like I know exactly what I'm doing when I go home, Yeah,
to be outside. Yeah, and off my phone.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yeah, I'm just not into it doing something.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah. I have like a screen time of an hour
and forty five minutes a day for like social media.
Yeah obviously I can't do that for like text messages
because my team would like show up to my door.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
But who advises you? Do you have an advisor?

Speaker 2 (29:01):
I have? Yeah, I have like an entire team of
like everything. I have my manager Ben Ben the best,
and then I have like an entire team at ut
A and then well.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
They're a great team.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Oh my gosh, they're the best. I love U t A.
They're amazing.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
You are very disciplined, striking me as being very disciplined.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, I mean if you're caring for animals, there's a schedule.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Yeah, that's the second.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
If you're putting your phone for a certain amount of time, Yeah,
that's that's that's another thing.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Yeah, that is true.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Your regimen for food for diet, you know, I am
you know, it's a great thing.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Yeah, I've considered myself. This is now I'm no.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I get the vibe. I was like, because you put
together and you have a plan, you know what I mean?
You have this goal.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Yeah, and you took something that they gave to you
this opportunity and you didn't squander it. Okay, We're gonna
do a game called Reality Rampage, which that's a great title.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Thank you, my team, thank you my dream team. So
stay with us.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
We right back, and we are back just like that.
It's a segment that I designed just for you, as
I said before, called Reality Rampage exclamation point as an
ode to your time on Love Island and our shared
love of horror and thrillers. I've pulled some iconic reality

(30:27):
TV moments for us, and we're going to deliver them
lethally like we're in a horror movie basically. Okay, okay,
So I've changed into something appropriate I think for this monologue.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
It's basically a shirt with.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
A bikini painted on it, and I look stunning. As
Leah said, look at your waist.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
I said, he's wasteless.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
So good. Okay, Okay.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
I am Ariana on vander Pump Rules and I'm in
a carden. I'm sorry, well, I'm going to butcher it.
It's because I have to.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
It's I am here reading.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
Okay as a wrror Oh my god, I regret every
moment I said up for.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Supported you.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
You're worth nothing. I want you to feel that deep
in your soul.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
Oh God, I want to hear those words coming from
the mouth of the woman that fucking stood by you.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
I loved you.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
And was ready to build the rest of my life
around you.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Hear my words and know that's how I feel about you.
I regret every loving you.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
I forgot about physical gestures. That's very important. You were
great and you're like you know what I love. At
the beginning too, you were laughing, which is what happens
when you get scared. You react in these kind of
funny ways, like you were laugh because you're scared.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
You're not weird.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
It's really good.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
I love that, guys, I love it. You were great.
That was fun.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Should I come here more? Everyone?

Speaker 3 (32:15):
So I'm here every week. We would love to have you.
So I have to deliver this in a horror movie
kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Okay, here we go.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Oh my fucking god. Do you want to know what's
apparent to me is that you don't care about my feelings.
Clearly you're not here from my feelings. You don't have
to reiterate that at all. Rob, you don't care about me.

(32:45):
You never cared about me. You were obviously crying because
you didn't want to slash.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
No.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Sorry, I don't care. I literally don't think you ever
liked me or cared about me, because that is how
your actions have A line. Damn, I love that line.
That was really good. Point period. That's it. I don't
know if that was a very horror.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Like I said it pretty much. It's almost like you
watch Love Island.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
So who said that?

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I am Lisa Rinna from Traders. First of all, I
have absolutely loved being here with all of you. Never
thought I could do this, never thought I could last
this long. What I'm going to tell you tonight is
that I am the most iconic, the most legendary Trader.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I love the confidence.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
That was really good.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
The confidence. Now, I've never watched that show, so I'm
not that that was fantastic. Your glasses are pretty great,
by the way, we take them home, Yeah, I think
you should. They're good. They're good. We're actually we're back
in our normal attire.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
We're back.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
In case you didn't recognize this from before, wellah, thank
you so much for coming.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
On the show. Thank you for having It's really really fun.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
No, I had agree with me too, Me too.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
I learned a lot about you. It was really great.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
So that's all the time we have today. I don't
know if we figured out what are we even doing,
but we had a good time doing it.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
What are you?

Speaker 3 (34:25):
What are you doing next? What's what's coming up for you?
We talked a little bit about the perfumes.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Yeah, we've jesusly been working on just like a lot.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
That's pretty cool anything happening in the animal world.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Honestly, my dream is to have a sanctuary. So hopefully
one day I can get that.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Can you do that where you are now? Currently?

Speaker 2 (34:43):
No, not there? So I would, and I would want
land so I could have like cows.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Have a whole yeah, arc things going on.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
And maybe some acting. I sent in my actual first audition,
like last a couple of weeks ago. Okay, yeah, and
so maybe i'll call you for tips.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Well, i'll help, I'll try it. I don't know. You
seemed pretty good, you're already doing You're on your way. Really,
you've got that, You're on your way for sure. Well
that's exciting, great, good good luck with that.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Yeah, it's really fun. I think you're gonna do well.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
That was good.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
I have a good sense.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Okay, Well, ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, kids, voltages, We're off,
Thank you, thanks.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Yeah, lovely Yes.
