Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, Andy, Hi everybody. Welcome. You're watching or if you're
listening to us on the iHeartRadio app, just tap that
little what I have to follow my mic, just tap
the little watch button. Would you started off just like that?
Why don't we get into it first? Then? No, because
this way they could quickly switch it on. Okay, so
welcome everybody to serial Killers. I would have dressed better
(00:22):
if I knew. No, you wouldn't. Yeah, I would you,
that's what she doesn't even go there anymore. I would
have worn some cereal shirt. Welcome to serial Killers. Let
me tell you something. That man walking by right now, huh.
He thinks it is of the comedy seller, And every
two seconds he comes up with something else, like does
he not work? I wish we could say who it was.
(00:43):
Is he like our resident chuckle hut comedian? Oh? I'm
confused because I'm sitting there at my desk and this
man comes to my desk. Also, it's so dark in here.
You ever go into the bathroom and just pray that
there's not that person in there that's the one. Oh
he talks to you in the bathroom. Oh my god.
He seems like a bathroom talker. Yeah, honestly, I don't
get bathroom talkers. Now, our faces are dark in the shadowy.
(01:04):
The lights are terrible. Can you look. I like the light,
but lower it a little bit. Look at I look
at a raccoon. The lights are never this high in here.
Good anyway, Hey, welcome to Serial Killers. It's the podcast
where we talk about cereal. And this is a very
special episode and kicking off a series, a series, you said, yes, Andrew,
Oh America the Amber Waves of Grain. Oh yeah, from
(01:29):
Purple Mountain, majesty America America. Yeah, it is not the
fourth of July. No, but this is the two hundred
and fiftieth birthday year of America. I mean some cereals
that have come out are celebrating, celebrating Andrew. Fine, and
(01:50):
would you like to see the first one? Sure? General
Mills put this out. Okay. Now it's interesting to me
because there was a very very similar one that just
came out that is still out, Okay, but so they
came out with this one. Also, it's interesting. I feel
like we're not really celebrating this year. Why because it's
(02:10):
like the two hundredth anniversary. I looked it up because
like this is like a weird thing. I don't get why,
but I'm really into the pageantry of things at the Olympics.
I love seeing what the host cities do. I love
watching all of that. So like for the two hundredth anniversary,
they line to the streets of Pennsylvania with like all
this like stuff. It was like this big deal, and
I feel like, what are we doing now? We're just
(02:31):
repainting the pool? What is that what he's doing the
looking pool. I don't reflecting pool. It's reflecting because it's
an important one, right, But we're just having big celebrations
all year long with what though, It's what I'm asking Cereal, Okay,
so look it's birthday cake, cheerios Andrew Okay, birthday cake
Chiero yay. Look fireworks at everything. Yeah, and see they
(02:52):
had to make sure, you know, like on the back
of the box. See the back of the box is
just celebration. It's a bunch of big cheerios with fireworks
around it. And they say, right there are enlarged to
show detail, just so you know they're not that big. Well,
if you guys know of any fun things that are happening,
let us know. Cereal outside of Cereal. Oh like, I
don't know. If I was in charge of like planning
the America two to fifty party, are kidding? You'd be
(03:14):
so much fun? Fireworks on July fourth? Oh my god, yeah,
my god, Well the big air show on Long Island.
I'm very excited, Like, why is there no telecast that's
happening of what a big two hundred and fiftieth birthday.
There's gotta be Andrew. I don't think there is. He's doing.
Oh Elvis opened that, that's I allowed him. Of course
you did. Also white on the inside. Interesting, it's been
like that for a while. Remember I was like, oh
my god, General Most changed their box and we're like,
(03:35):
oh yeah, I like it. Episode three thirty when they
started changing the boxes, okay, please just took that out
of your foot anyway, so it smells like a birthday cake. Oh,
oh my god? Sorry are you bleeding? They also changed
the tops two razors. Oh show, how are you bleeding?
Maybe I'm sorry? What a good episode to start doing video.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
On the eye her.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, I hit you right in your propecia, your alopecia. No,
you hit me in my nose? My nose? What is
that from Brady? Bush, Yeah, Marcia Marshall, Marsha anyway, listen,
So it is it is, it's harder. Yeah, it's more firm. Cardbo,
you put like a warning for kids. No, they shouldn't
so kill somebody. A couple of episodes back, maybe I
(04:18):
don't know, maybe ten back, we did cheerios confetti confetti
cherios you remember those. No, it was the same kind
of thing. It was just confetti instead of red, white
and blues on there. Fun. So this is a birthday cake,
which is what flavor. I don't get me started. Okay,
nobody wants to see that. Well, that's why I'm doing
(04:40):
Oh I'm still on camera. Sorry, guys. Hey, look at this.
What this looks like? You don't remember the Electric Company,
do you? Hey you guys it was on PBS way
back in the seventies and early eighties. That looks like
the thing. Yeah, for sure, that's what I was thinking.
I hate you just like that. So we're lack tate
two percent plus calcium from strong bones. No, they've been finished.
(05:02):
That was one of the most popular cereals that was ever.
Sitting in here, that makes me sad because I want
to take it home. Well, this is lucky charms. Brother,
I'm gonna work home from home tomorrow, so I was
gonna Oh you are, Yeah, so I need to have
those for breakfast, all right, Andrew, it smells like it
smells great. It smells like cheerios. No, it doesn't. Actually
it smells like birthday cakes. Okay, what the intensity of No, Actually,
(05:28):
it doesn't smell like cheerers at all. Mmm. It's just
like a sweeter cheerio. It has the underlying cheerio taste,
which I like. I don't want to say it has
like a honey nut sweetness to it, but it kind
of does. I don't know about that. You taste the
you taste definitely taste the base of cheerios and then
(05:48):
there's a light sweetness on top of it. I'm enjoying it, yeah,
m And this is another one of their new cereals
with no artificial colors. Oh. I love that well, because
they're all changing over so true have to by law.
I'm gonna give this one four bowls. Okay, I like it.
It's fun. If I had a birthday cake like this,
I'd be like, oh, thanks for the thought. What I'd
(06:11):
be like, thank you for thinking of me. You'll be cool.
You'll have they bake like M and M's inside of cakes.
They should bake a big old pile of these inside
of the cake so when you cut it, the cheerios
come out. You've had better ideas, really, Yeah, four bowls
in a spoon. I really like it. Yeah, it's kind
of nice sweetness to it. I think this is one
of my favorite cheerios. Yeah, what are your other favorites?
(06:36):
That one? Okay? Cool? Wait, I want to play something. Okay,
what do you want to play? You're gonna drop this
milk and it's gonna spill all over me, like, oh
so shugd. No, the cap is securely on there. Guess
what what on the next Serial Killers? As the As
the America, The Beautiful series continues on cereal Cake. Oh
(06:57):
that's what we're calling it. Look at this. I bet
you any know that was a thing I did. You
actually said it on the air today. Well you don't listen, No,
I do. Cinematas cut up float I don't like that.
Why fuzzy, because this is gonna be fizzy rootier floats.
I don't understand it, like I try. I just it's
not for me. I think they're delicious. I just try
(07:17):
not to eat that stuff anymore, the ice cream and
everything you do. Though. I went out with you and
you house to trace led Cha's cake. Oh they're so
clod tryst such as cheerios. That was one of my
other favorites. Who that was delicious. It's just you can't
be like I don't eat that anymore. Remember I saw
you house to trys taste, No, I said, having chimney changas,
I said, I try not to. Okay, everyone tries to
(07:39):
do something. I mean they do it, But doesn't he
have to be pretentious about it? Oh? No, no, no, I wouldn't.
I try not to. It makes it sound like you don't,
but everyone around you has seen you house cakes and cookies. Here.
A good Rootier float is a nice summertime treat in America.
My mom and dad promised me a Rootier float every
year growing up. Guess how many times I we got one?
Once never really ever had one, and we lived near Stuart's.
(08:01):
I told you the story when I lived in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa in nineteen ninety four and ninety five. Okay, that
I went to the A and W was an old
school one from like the sixties down the road. I
was so excited for a Roopier float. I got it.
I left, drove down the road, drank it was diet Rupier.
Who wants that? I try not to have diet rupia. No,
but that's why bother. I mean, you still want to
(08:22):
have the phone? No, no, no, no different taste. Everything
is doctor pepper technically Rupier. No, not technically at all.
There's twenty three spices in doctor peppers. Yeah. It looked
as a can right down there. There's no s on
the end of it. I don't like doctor pepper. I
don't either. I taste like medicine. Yeah, like that's why
it's from a doctor. It tastes much just cherry soda. No,
not at all. What is it? Open it tr asip?
(08:43):
I have just try a sip and tell me how
you explain it. But why is this random can in
a box? I saw you upload it. You want me
to take the drug dodtor pepper. It's not then die
on camera? Well that would be great ratings, but just
try it. There's no ratings on YouTube. This isn't even
on YouTube. Wait, you don't put it on YouTube anymore?
Is It's just I can't. I can't. All right, let's
(09:07):
continue with the America theme. Cool. Can you please pull
up your pants? I can't. They're broken, your pants broken? Oh?
You know what, I don't think he's an American. He's
wearing like an Irish hat, right, is Bob? I mean
it's an American company. They're out in Colorado or Oregon. Well,
I was going to go on with the America theme.
But he is he is he? But he was wearing
(09:28):
a hat from like an from like a kangle hat. No,
I think that's like an Irish thing. It's one of
those things. It's a hat. Look up, I thought the
Derby wore this. I don't know. God, it's from Milwaukee,
I know Oregon. Hey, Siri, where is Bob from Bob's
(09:49):
Red Mill from? Why won't you tell me? Hey? So
other other quick thing. I just want to mention this expire.
Oh he was born in Portland like four months, so
he is an American four months. It didn't expire. It's just
best buy. You don't understand dates. I think I do.
(10:10):
You don't eat this and we both are like it's
a stale No, it's not. It's homestyle granola cranberry almond.
Thank you, Farmer Matt. Thanks Farmer Matt. He's a good dude. Yeah,
good dude. I really want to get him on the show.
So there's some pumpkin seeds in here, Cranberry's almonds, sweet
(10:31):
sweet granola, Thank you, Bob. A great American. He's American, okay,
just like I figured. And he's the good guy that
he died and he gave his company to his employees.
I do remember that story that you told me on
this show several times. So what is this again? It's
Cranberry almond granola. Okay. I like Cranberry's and that's a
full almond. I forgot that they do that. I'm trying
(10:53):
to make sure I get a cranberry. It's a nice
crunch I do. It's good. The thing is, it's weird.
The cranberries are crunchy. It feil notedaln What isn't mean plywood?
What are you talking about? It doesn't instantly just go
(11:15):
bad after a month, dude, It's fine. I like it.
Oh what does have a weird taste? That's what I'm saying.
It's old. Should we just what just hit? Should we
just not do this one? They should not count. No,
let's just not do this one. Why what and why?
(11:35):
There might be something wrong with it? Dates everything? This
is the backup made good crispy like granola. Strawberry Fund
is the one who makes borrows and everything. Yep, now
they make granola and all other things. Okay, a good
American company, Andrew, since it's the America Show. Oh it's
(11:56):
his product of Canada. Oops, what are you doing? What
do you think? Make sure that somebody gets into the building. Okay,
so important. It looks like it's it looks like it's
rice crispies mixed with little oats, right, So that just
doesn't help. So I just had a mouthful of old cereals. Yeah,
(12:17):
we're not gonna so one was the moment that it
dawned on you that I was right that when that
little aftertaste kicking. Okay mm hmm yeah, but see I
was rationing the milk. Now we might have a problem.
Why are there mushrooms? Say his carrots and beats and tomatoes.
I think that's for coloring, right, since it's all natural color.
Oh yeah, it does cool. I love the little strawberry
(12:38):
pieces in there. You're gonna say that it tastes like
fizz or whatever. What do you say? It tastes fizzy
like its sizzles like pop rocks. It contains nutrients from
vegetable extracts, good source of vitamin D and E. I
love a good D and E. Okay, M not good.
(13:01):
Yeah that is nice, just a perfect amount of strawberry M.
Also it's open because my daughter tried it. Oh. Sorry,
I'm gonna give it four balls. I like that. That
is really nice, nice touch of sweetness. The strawberries aren't fizzy,
so basically what this tastes like to me for the
(13:21):
most part, it's like strawberry rice crispies. Yeah, they taste
like the rice crispies in there with some strawberry, yeah,
and then some oats. I like it. I'm also going
to give it four balls. Andrew made Good pretty good
because I'm not I don't think I'm a huge fan
of the Oh I love the bars. You really love
the bars? Right, yeah, I'm a big mate good fan.
So if you're listening Made Good and you want to
send us some bars, I got you. Okay, Well we
(13:43):

And if you're watching on the iHeartRadio app. Thank you

If you're on the iHeart app where you usually listen

(14:04):
will see our beautiful faces and you can watch it
instead of listen. That is the strangest bunch of suggestions
I've ever seen on YouTube. Can I tell you why?
And I've done this before? Tell me why ain't nothing
but a heartbreak? What ain't nothing? But you didn't get
it my reference. You're logged into YouTube, right, so you
are subscribed to the Elvis Rancho channel that is your
(14:25):
which is a suggested video. And then you looked up
milk commercials. So this is all your history from a
milk commercial. It's a cigarette ad from the from like
the fifties. This is all you're like recently. This is
all recommended to you based off of because you're logged
into YouTube. Wow, how could this be so customized to me?
(14:45):
And then I see your stupid face in the right
hand coiner All right, back to America. The beautiful seven Sundays. Yeah,
it'spend weeks seventh Sundays. Wait though, but this is says

Oh that's right, Vermont has the little glass jars. Oh no,
but the maple leaf ones that's from Canada. Whatever. And you,
Oh my god, that is the that's the funkiest looking
mask I've ever seen. It's tweaking on something.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
I'm upcycled, Sudie. Oh hell, the giant sunflower, good for soil,
butterflies and bees. I'm made from leftovers of cold press sunflower,
all well protein, a fober hose, once.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Overlooked, but I've been giving a new life and a
real delicious cereal.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I guess you could say I'm back and stronger than ever.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
I love how you said. All that's terrifying. Seven Sundays
keep it real. It's grain free sunflower cereal, and this
one is maple Andrew Yeah, oh my god, it's so
many things. It's non GMO verified, no grains and no gluten,
no refined sugar, no weird stuff. So they just got it.
That's it. No weird stuff, no weird stuff, no artificial flavors,
(16:05):
one hundred percent plant based, upcycled and gluten free. We've
had one from them before, because yeah, we did the
whole upcycled thing, Like, I don't get it. Real ingredients
to crow about. What's in here about? It is ready tapioca,
sunflower protein, maple syrup, coconut oils, dates, vanilla extract, and
sea salt. Okay, I do like sunflower seeds. They're my favorite.
(16:27):
I don't like the one in the shells because I
don't want to be of course. Can you like I
actually got spit particles on me? Yes? I did. I
was pretending, No, you were spitting. Wow, we're giving them
a super sized episode for our first watch one. But
it's just a bunch of fluff. Here we go. Two percent.
(16:48):
These look like old pastries. Little sunflowers, but like old pastries. Yeah,
that of my nose again? Please don't you like the
guy that sits the dinner table just blows his nose disgusty.
It's so gross. Oh that's gross. Just butt crack as
you lean over as well as everyone has a butt crack. Okay,
(17:09):
But they don't all need to be seen, okay. Talks
of sweetness. I just taste a little bit of some
flower seed, which I like, very very crunchy. Oh, that
is delicious, Hannah and Brady. They're not food scientists or magicians.
They're just a small team of passionate people who believe
(17:31):
in real food. Yeah, I love this. I'm gonna give
this five balls. Okay, I'm not. I mean, bro, that's
a lot, really five balls. Mm hmm. I think it's
a tiny bit insane. It's good, you know what it is.
(17:51):
I recently discovered I love dates, Okay, love dates, just
eat them. I love a date. And so for me,
that adds a touch of swee and said, I like
and I love maple syrup. The vanilla extract is good.
This is delicious. I'm I'm yeah, all right, full ball.
Four balls from me and for you, Carla Marie. That's
seven Sunday Sunflower Cereal real maple flavor. It feels healthy.
(18:14):
I don't know if it is ish. Yeah yeah it
actually yeah. Oh oh, it's got a lot of sat
fat in it, twenty percent of your daily value. Well
in one cup, you win, some you lose. I'm gonna
have so much sat fat today. What I'm just gonna
sit on your couch and get fat, no saturated fat, oh,
