Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get your hit us together and we're going to stop
and party. I'm ready to party the Elvis Duran after party.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hey, guys, he made the most influential creators according to
Time and congratulations.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
That's insane.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Feel makes me feel great. I don't know, like I
cried a little bit. I'm not gonna lie like I
had a moment. I have a video of me crying
about it. It's crazy, but I'm really grateful, and you know,
I'm very happy just influencing you guys to watch movies.
You guys are my influencer list. So it's to know

(00:43):
that Time recognized me in that way and that, you know, in.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
The world, in the world influence or digital voices in
the world.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I don't know about that, but it's still a huge
honor and I'm very happy.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Are you doing what you love?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
You're getting honored for doing what you love.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
How many people can say that, you know? So that's
another thing.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I'm like, I would do this for free, like and
for free.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Well, if you're wondering how he made the top one
hundred list, we'll show you right now. Let's talk about movies.
Let's let's start there. May I just start your segment
out with my thoughts.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Oh, sure, sure to.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
See I want to see I Play Rocky and I
want to see The Odyssey. Those are the two films
that I'm obsessing over, needing to see.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Yes, yes, honestly, I'm glad you brought that up.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Nobody's really talking about I Play Rocky because of The Odyssey.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
So else, you're a real one for that. You're actually
a real one for that.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
But by the way, I made one hundred one on
the list, Yes, on the top one hundred, Well, talk
about it. Do you want to start today?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You gotta gotta keep scrolling to get to that one
on one.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
So obviously, I think I'm gonna save The Odyssey for
the last because come on, like, we all know we
want to see The Odyssey.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
We already know how great it is. You know, screw it.
I will say it first. I saw it twice.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It's amazing. It's amazing. I saw it twice in London.
It's my number one one of her number two favorite
movie of the year. Obviously, Christopher Nolan is incredible, the
cast is incredible. Even Travis Scott's very tidy part in
it is pretty awesome. But yeah, no, it's The Odyssey, like,
I think it's gonna be one of the best films

(02:14):
of the year. I think it's a shoe win for
a lot of Oscar Awards, all those things. I think
I should bring up my number two movie, or my
number one or number two movie the year.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
It's competition. The Invite, I don't think I've talked.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Best friend saw that two days ago and said it
was fantastically funny.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yes, one hundred fantastically funny, but also heart wrenching for
anyone who's in a relationship, for anyone who's been married
for for a few years. It will go there in
multiple different ways, but the whole time you're laughing. It's
kind of like a bottle episode where it's all set
in one location, so all the characters are just kind
of forced to talk to each other, and it never doles,

(02:53):
not even for a second seth Broke is great, Pinellope
Cruz is great. I think she's the best actress in there.
I think she's a shoe win for a lot Oscars.
But Olivia Wild's direction so tight, so clean, so amazing.
The Invite was my favorite film for five days, and
then I saw The Odyssey and then everything got thrown
in flux.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
So now it's fighting with the Odyssey.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
It's pretty awesome to have to make a decision because
they're they're I want to see them both. Now add
that as my third movie I need to see. So
back to the Odyssey. Yes, two hundred and fifty million
to create just what I'm hearing. Yes, quarter of a
billion dollars. Do you see every penny on that screen?
Is it that beautiful of a film?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
You could definitely see every video that screen. You could
like you could feel it. I mean, as soon as
the first three actors show up, you know where all
the money went, because it's it's Ed Hathaway, Tom Holland
and Robert at a shoot, what is it?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
What is wrong with my voice? Oh? My god, give
me a second. We can edit, We can edit one second.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I'm telling Time magazine.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Oh my gosh, why do I sound like a smoke,
like a hardcore smoker.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Do you want to one second? Okay, I promise you
I didn't sound like that before I got on here.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Okay, okay, Hey, welcome to our hell.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
In the mornings, I do that's my that's my morning voice.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Sexy ladies who are listening to this.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
We can do a pickup wherever you went.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yes, So I was gonna say, like, as soon as
the first three actors show up, you can see where
all the dollars went.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I mean, it starts start budg just saying when they
when they start the film, you can see without saying
the words, what I was saying.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Was, oh, okay, So.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
You can see, like you could tell that every penny
went into this movie, two hundred and fifty million dollars.
As soon as the first couple actors show up on screen,
you see where that money went. And they're all doing
a fantastic job. You got, I mean, Ann Hathaway, Tom Holland,
you got, oh my god, Robert Pattison, Matt Damon. I'm like, okay,
that's where the budget went. There's a lot of great
people in this movie. But also it's just a great film.

(04:56):
Not just about the physical odyssey, which is great. Clops
is in gods and monsters and stuff like that, but
it's all about the psychological toll that the odyssey and
war takes.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
So you get a little bit of everything in this movie.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
There's romance, there's drama, there's a little bit of comedy
and it sounds modern, so you never get taken out
of it because of the language barrier or the how
art thou like thing of the Homer's Odyssey.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
So it's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I like PTSD is a part of it then as well.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
PTSD is a huge part of it, a huge part
of it. Yeah, So if you're not, if you weren't
expecting that fit that psychological toll, there's plenty of that.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
When the movie ended.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
I was like, oh gosh, this kind of affected me
in a very profound way. Christopher, nobody's doing it like
Christopher noan guys, nobody have a clas absolutely nobody.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
It's almost three hours long, right, So did you notice
that or not at all? Because it was that fantastic
you know what in the first I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
In the first maybe fifteen to twenty minutes, you start
to go like, okay, like this is gonna take a while,
Like you know, it's a lot of setup, it's a
lot of like, Okay, what's happening here? But once we
like get kicked off on the first trial of the odyssey,
the thing moves and you do not feel it because
you're so invested in this journey and what's happening at
home in the character relationships, it's there's a lot going on,

(06:11):
but for you don't get lost for even a second
after that mark, so you should be fine.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Just eat your popcorn, get your drinks.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Don't drink too much. I'll have to go potty, all right.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Don't drink so much.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
So far, we're loving the invite, and we're definitely loving
the odyssey. Okay, perfect, yep.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And I also have for that you wore people out there.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Evil Dead Burns. If you're an Evil Dead fan, Evil
Dead Burns is gnarly. It's a pretty gnarly movie. I
think it probably might be one of the most gnarly
movies in the Evil Dead franchise.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
And I know that sounds like hperberly.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
When you say gnarly, what are you meaning?

Speaker 1 (06:44):
How do you do with gore?

Speaker 2 (06:45):
No?

Speaker 1 (06:45):
No, yeah, not mean yeah? Yeah, yeah, it goes there.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So just imagine someone's face and the head rest of
the car seat and someone getting very creative with how
those two things collide.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah. I didn't even think you could even do that
with a headrest.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
But these dead eyes, it's crazy when you have villains
who relish in torture and just evil stuff all the time.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
I don't know if you guys have seen the trailer,
but I'll say it because it's in the trailer.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Someone drinks hot candle wax as if it's like I
don't know, orange juice, and I was like, what's going
on here? It has very impressive camera work in a
lot of areas. It's one of those movies where it's
all set in one house as well, so you're just
watching these things go down. You're watching this family get
ripped apart by these things and they're turning one by

(07:35):
one into dead heightes.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
People get put through the ringer.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
In this movie, you can tell the director is behind
the camera just laughing his butt off, just like I know.
People are spinning out their drinks and popcorn right now.
So if you like Gore, if you like evil dead
evil dead Birds, is.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Pretty pretty awesome.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I'm in, I'm not in.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
And then a couple of things for streaming, because these
just got put on streaming very shortly. I might have
talked about this on the show before, but I always
will be happy to hide these movies up. Good Luck,
Have Fun, Don't Die is now on Hulu. You can
watch Down on Hulu right now. It's about a guy,
Sam rock Well, who travels back from the future or
did he that's the fun?

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Is he crazy or is he not?

Speaker 2 (08:16):
And he chooses like five random people from a diner
and says, you guys are hand selected to help me
save the world. Come with me, and if you don't,
this whole world's gonna die. Because AI, it's fun. It's
also pretty gory, but not like a bad way. It's
also in a fun way. It's hilarious. It's fun gore.
It's like fun gore.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
People explode, people get shot, and you're just kind of like, wow, nice.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah, you know it's a cacophony of explosions and gunshots.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yet you know, so it's a great one.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
And then you also have Ready or Not To, if
you like Ready or not Ready or not to the
sequel Pretty Dang Gray, also.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
On Hulu, and then also Send Help.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I think between the two Ready or Not Too and
Send Help, I think you should watch Send Help because
Sam Raimi, who also started at the Evil Dead franchise,
creates a very nice film about Rachel McAdams, who is
an overlooked worker and her boss who really tortures her
every single day and doesn't give her promotion. She gets
stranded on an island with this man, and throughout the

(09:16):
entire movie, you don't know who's going to become the
villain because she's been wronged. He's kind of a butthole,
but he kind of becomes a victim, but then she
kind of becomes like a villain. It's a psychological back
and forth about survival, and both Dylan O'Brien and Rachel
McAdams are both incredible in this movie, like so Sindhelp
directed by Sam Raimi, survival thriller, comedy, really really great,

(09:40):
but also on Hulu.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
You know how I'm feeling here is even though this
is what July, all the movies and all the streaming,
everything you're talking about, I feel like it's the end
of year because these all sound like amazing pieces of work.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
It's been a crazy twenty twenty six shaw and it's
not done yet. We still have a Venders Doomsday and
Doom and all those things. Wow, and those come out
the same day.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
All right. We talked about a lot of stuff. I
play Rocky. I'm gonna get into that next week. The
Odyssey Gotta watch it also the invite. We're hearing great
things about that. If you want gore, you want gnarly
evil dead burns, you gotta check it out. If you're streaming,
good luck, have fun, don't die, and ready or not.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Too Yes and thank you.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
And you know what, if you want more juju and
you need more juju, and I knew, I know you
do need more juju, check him out. Of course, you
can always check him out a straw hack goofy on
your social check out party
