Speaker 1 (00:01):
Put your hands together, and we're gonna stop to party.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Start.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
I'm ready to party the Elvis ter Ran after party.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Are you both you're both dating now?

Speaker 5 (00:22):
No?

Speaker 6 (00:24):
Wait, do you guys have boyfriends?

Speaker 5 (00:26):
I wish so?

Speaker 6 (00:29):
Then why aren't you dating? It's usually one or the other.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Wow, you're like the uncle that sees them once a year.
If you say are you dating now and the answer
is no, then I assume like, Okay, mission accomplished.

Speaker 6 (00:43):
I'm with someone. No, I'm just tired.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, a lot of mission of boris Abby was younger
or Spencer was older. Because Abby and Spencer just I'm like,
these two, they're just two peys in the pod.

Speaker 7 (00:58):
Later in life.

Speaker 6 (00:59):
The years apart don't really Suspenser. Actually, I said, I said, listen,
I'm gonna have you wait a couple of years.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Maybe like you.

Speaker 6 (01:08):
I just know she would, but he will be younger.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Than he'll be.

Speaker 7 (01:11):
The worst thing a man can do is be born
after August thirtieth of nineteen ninety eight. There, I just
I just immediately, I'm like, yeah, I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Know why, because Abby's already an old soul. Do you
guys get that?

Speaker 6 (01:25):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, So I.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
See you with somebody like, I don't know, late sixties.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I don't think that.

Speaker 6 (01:32):
All here, No, you have a girlfriend there, dumb Okay, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
So I'm glad you guys joined us again. We have
more probing questions from Andrew. Actually, you're going to disprove
or prove some facts here.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Well, this is actually interesting because I was looking up
after our last podcast some more gen Z dating habits.
So I feel like it's fun to just ask you guys,
and you answered the first one. Already gen Z is
dating less. Overall, only fifty six percent of gen Z
have had a romantic relationship by adulthood, and that's according
to Yahoo Finance. And sixty nine percent of gen Z
says they're not ready for a relationship, and that's according

(02:10):
to Forbes. And furthermore, seventy five percent of gen Z
are single right now now.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
Is that because they're too busy making the appointments?

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Probably disappointment, We can't.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
That was direct, Yes, Okay, just Steff run with it
because she said yeah you You immediately jumped in and
said yes, yeah.

Speaker 8 (02:35):
I think that's why I'm not dating anyone is because
like people are only looking for that, and it's like
this is childish.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yeah, just a lot of work.

Speaker 7 (02:43):
I mean, I have a lot of friends that aren't.
It's not because they're hooking up with anyone. It's just
everyone's tired.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
It's not it's it's it's it's burnout.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Yeah, it's a lot of work for general dating that
is very and.

Speaker 7 (02:56):
Yeah, I don't really have any friends that are in relationship.
I have maybe like a couple of friends relationships.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Okay, do you want a relationship, We'll go for you
first hand.

Speaker 7 (03:04):
It's something where if it comes to me naturally, I
would be open to it, but I'm not necessarily going
on and seeking one.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
Okay, this is my son. I swear to gosh, guys,
it's so crazy.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
He says the same.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Yeah, yeah, question you staph.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Do you want a relationship?

Speaker 5 (03:21):
It's concrid.

Speaker 8 (03:22):
I do, but I want to wait until after I
get on Big Brother so that it's like easier to you. Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Second follow up, would you feel each of you like
you're missing out not being in a relationship.

Speaker 7 (03:38):
I used to feel that way because I felt like
I was kind of the only one that never had
any romantic or connections in high school or anything. And
then I went to college and met a lot of
friends in the same boat, and I was just like, oh,
this is this is normal for some people.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
It's fine.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
And then there was a period of time where I
was trying to date and it was just a horrible
It was not fun, it was not how I wanted
to spend my time.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
So yeah, because I mean, you're twenty fuss seven, you're eight,
like Daniel was already on the fortieth boyfriend by that point.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
Oh yeah, forget it.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
You know, I've never really been in a relationship, which
is crazy.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
That's true for like my entire friend group. But right,
you've dated, like casually a couple. Yeah, I've tried, yeah,
but it just hasn't worked out it.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Steph, same question, Like you do you feel like you're
missing out not being in a relationship.

Speaker 8 (04:33):
No, not currently, but like I've dated in the past
and it was fine. It's just I feel now I'm
so independent that I'm afraid it's going to hold me back,
And like, how do I group them into this?

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Are twenty two?

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Oh my goodness, Wow, Sorry, I'm just comparing myself. How
soon do you tell someone that you might like that
your main goal in life is to be on big
brother immediately.

Speaker 8 (04:55):
It depends low key if I like don't like them
and I sense that they want to, like go out
on a date with me, like you is it right away?
So if they don't really want to, but other than that,
like I won't tell them and tell maybe like the
third day, but haven't gotten there yet.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
So I feel like that's something you could introduce.

Speaker 8 (05:13):
Really because I'm like reality people are like crazy, so
then they'll think I'm crazy what I am?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
But you know I wouldn't let that cat out of
the bag, right andrew? What other facts you got there?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Rising costs mean gen Z are spending less or avoiding
dating altogether, which I thought was interesting. And fifty one
percent of gen Z seeks a relationship mainly to avoid
loneliness versus twenty six percent of older generations. Many of
gen Z went deeper connections but struggle with communication skills,
and that also may be due to only twenty three
percent of gen Z meeting their partners offline.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Okay, okay, so a question for the both of you,
and if I'm overstepping any bounds, please tell me to stop.
The last date you had, how did you meet the person?

Speaker 7 (05:58):
Hinge?

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Mine was a mutual friend a friend?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Yeah, so, which I mean, did you compare notes on this?
Like how many dates with the guy from Hinge?

Speaker 5 (06:09):
The person from we dated for two months?

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Two months?

Speaker 7 (06:14):
So I don't really know, but a decent amount. We're
seeing each other. It was exclusive towards the end.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
But then wow, very quickly became over your longest relationship
too much?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I think, Wow, okay, and then Steph friend of a friend.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Yes, how long did that last one date?

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Was the big brother thing?

Speaker 8 (06:38):
Why did why?

Speaker 6 (06:39):
Why did it end right there?

Speaker 8 (06:40):
I don't really know, but now that I'm thinking about it,
I did say to him like, oh, you went to
this school, do you know? Blah blah blah, and he's like, yeah,
that's my ex girl friend. So I think he was scared,
but like that should have stopped him.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Okay, Okay, Well I'm going to open this up because
it doesn't sound like you're very successful. Not to say no,
it's true. Danielle is married, happily married. Yes, uh, Garrett
is happily married, he's got two kids. Scotti is something
with Scott married, great relationship. Uhcary has had.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
A long married ship, a very healthy relationship that's very.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
I wouldn't come to me for advice, but feel free
to ask the four of them if you have any questions.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
So there's no questions.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
I don't really think.

Speaker 6 (07:31):
So I don't know.

Speaker 8 (07:32):
I don't know, like sort of yeah, Like it's always like, oh,
you'll know when they're the one, Like, what do you
mean you'll know?

Speaker 5 (07:39):
What did you know?

Speaker 6 (07:41):
I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
So when I met Sheldon, I was not looking for anything.
I had just gotten out of a relationship. I was
dating around, I was having a grand old time. It
was fantastic. Elvis met Sheldon, and Elvis wanted to date him,
but Sheldon wasn't gay.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
He found out at the end of the evening.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
And Elvis is the one who said I met somebody
for you, and I was like, oh, godless, I don't
want to meet anybody. And for some reason, he was
wearing a wedding band on a chain when when we
went out, and at first I thought, oh, is he
trying to hide the fact that he was married, but
it was actually his grandmother's wedding band, And then I
had my grandmother's wedding band in my wallet, and that

(08:19):
connection was the first thing that in my head, I
was like, huh, and I don't know. For some reason,
I just kind of knew this is the guy, like
he just it's the weirdest thing. And I feel like
it is so true when you are not looking for
it is when it happens. You just gotta let it
happen naturally, and it is what it is, and you
can try to avoid it, but sometimes it smacks your

(08:41):
head and that's I feel like, what happens?

Speaker 6 (08:43):
You know, it's crazy? And how many years later when
we started dating in ninety seven, yeah, nine years ye've
been with him? Jesus yeah, sorry, Jesus long. Well, Steph
could be my daughter. I mean, Spencer's twenty one, Steph
could be.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
My daughter, you know.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
I mean, I'm sure if I got knocked up early,
you son, why would you only hook your son up
with with Abby and not Steph?

Speaker 8 (09:08):
So?

Speaker 6 (09:08):
Step so okay, I.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
It doesn't matter, though, I'm not sure the big brother
thing would go down with Spencer. Spencer is an old
soul like Abby is. And when I see Abby post
things and when she says things to me, and Abby
and I have conversations and then Spencer, I go wow,
I'm like they are very similar with the thoughts on life.
And yes, I know there's a ying to the yang,
but I think that Steph is more like she wants

(09:33):
to be on Big Brother.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
She wants to do it. That's not spencerby would you
a younger guy? Not that young? He's not even twenty
one yet. I'm sorry, twenty one.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
How do you feel about Danielle being your mother?

Speaker 6 (09:43):
And can you just like adopt me?

Speaker 8 (09:47):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (09:47):
I would love. That's really not that much of an
age difference. Seven years, six years, six and a half. Okay,
right yes, right now, right now. If she's telling people
she's dating a twenty one year old, it's.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Kind of like you ate twenty years. You'd be like,
you got a way to get.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
My parents are seven years apart. My mom's older.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
See also, just get away a little bit, just give
it a couple.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
It just so it feels creepy right now. My parents
met when she was forty, so.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Okay, And no offense to step because she's adorable and
I love her, But I just think that they're very
different people. I'll give you an example. Wait, not that
this is your Steph, but yesterday, Spencer says to me,
I saw the hottest girl walking down the street.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
She was so cute.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I was like, Wow, maybe this is a nice girl.
Finally a nice girl. She looked at me, we smiled
at each other, and then all of a sudden, mom
the wind blew, her skirt went up and she had
no underwear on, and we saw everything. And Spencer right
away says, not the girl for me.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
I'd be like, that's the type of girl like that's
spent like that. Spencer is not into that.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Spencer is not the.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Guy that wants the girl who's walking around showing her
goods to everybody.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
Okay, come on, she was wearing a tiny little skirt
when when so, come on, you tell me she's not
showing it all. Okay, didn't your grandma tell you to
air it out?

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Okay, at home, at home at the end of the day.
But that's Spencer, Spencer, that's not love.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
That stuff reminded you of no, no, no.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
And I said in the beginning, that's not Steph. But
what I'm saying is that's not the type of girl
that Spencer will be dating.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Spencer, we gotta have a talk.

Speaker 6 (11:27):
You know, some of his friends would love that girl.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
He's not like that, Daniel, you have another son. He's
not like that.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
You have another son though.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
For Steph Preston, Yeah, he's only he's seventeen.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
I know some of his friends from home and they're
so young.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
Preston.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Yeah a go o oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
When when Preston told your husband Sheldon that story was
he I'm sorry when Spencer told you that story with Sheldon, like,
that's my boy.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
Sheldon goes and what was the problem. Sheldon did say,
give me your number, honey. Spencer is not that type
of guy.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
That's not here's another difference.

Speaker 8 (12:14):
I would never tell my mom if I saw anyone cute,
like I don't think she knows I've kissed anyone.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Really, Yeah no we haven't.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
Oh my god. As pure as the driven snow, pure
as the driven snow.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
He just doesn't.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
He just doesn't think if you're out there with no
underwear on, with a skirt that short and it blows
up and everyone can see your goods, that's not the
type of girl he wants.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
To be with.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Maybe it's just like a British dolly.

Speaker 7 (12:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (12:48):
That's what he said, was the last time you went commando?
It's been years, but what is that to do with anything? Skirt,
skirt that short and you don't have underwear on. You're
hoping for a breeze. I don't want to hear it.
I don't want to hear it.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Okay, you've given us all a lot to thank you
so much for coming in the Dynamic Duo

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Of course, the Elvis Duran after party
